Digital Marketing Services: What You Should Expect from the Best Agencies
In today’s competitive online environment, the role of a digital marketing agency is crucial for business growth, brand visibility, and customer engagement. Partnering with an agency that provides the best digital marketing services can help you effectively reach your goals, boost ROI, and solidify your online presence. Here’s a breakdown of what you should expect from a top-notch digital marketing agency to ensure you’re getting the best value and results.
1. Comprehensive Digital Marketing Strategy
Holistic Approach to Marketing: A reputable digital marketing agency doesn’t just focus on one area; they offer a comprehensive digital marketing approach that covers all relevant channels and tactics, including SEO, content marketing, social media, PPC, and email marketing.
Customized Strategy Development: Expect the best agencies to craft a strategy tailored to your business’s specific goals, audience, and budget. This includes analyzing competitors, identifying growth opportunities, and creating a step-by-step plan that aligns with your long-term objectives.
2. SEO Services for Sustainable Growth
On-Page and Off-Page Optimization: SEO is a cornerstone of online visibility. A quality digital marketing agency will optimize your website’s content, structure, and links to improve its search engine ranking and attract organic traffic.
Local and Technical SEO: Beyond basic keyword optimization, the best digital marketing services include local SEO for location-based businesses and technical SEO to enhance site performance, mobile responsiveness, and indexing, ensuring your site is fully optimized for search engines.
3. ROI-Driven Paid Advertising (PPC)
Strategic PPC Campaigns: Expect data-driven, ROI-focused PPC campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, Facebook, and LinkedIn, designed to drive immediate traffic and conversions. Agencies with expertise in pay-per-click advertising can effectively target your audience and maximize ad spend.
Continuous Optimization: PPC requires careful monitoring to maintain performance. The best digital marketing agencies will continuously analyze and optimize campaigns based on click-through rates, conversion rates, and other performance metrics to achieve the highest possible return on investment.
4. Engaging Social Media Marketing
Platform-Specific Strategies: Social media marketing involves more than just posting regularly. The top agencies understand the nuances of each platform—whether it’s Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, or TikTok—and create customized strategies that resonate with each audience type.
Community Building and Brand Loyalty: Social media is also about building a community around your brand. Agencies that specialize in social media marketing will help you engage with your audience, respond to comments, and foster a sense of brand loyalty.
5. High-Quality Content Marketing
Valuable, Engaging Content Creation: Content marketing goes beyond basic blog posts. Expect a top digital marketing agency to create a variety of content types, including blogs, videos, infographics, and eBooks that attract, educate, and retain customers.
Consistent Content Distribution: Content isn’t just about creation; it’s about distribution. A reputable agency ensures your content reaches the right audience on the right platforms, from your website and email newsletters to social media and third-party sites, driving engagement and boosting SEO.
6. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
Enhancing the User Experience: The best digital marketing agencies prioritize user experience and conversion rate optimization. This involves optimizing landing pages, call-to-action buttons, and forms to increase the percentage of visitors who take desired actions, such as making a purchase or filling out a contact form.
Data-Driven Testing: CRO is data-intensive, requiring ongoing testing and refinement. Agencies use A/B testing and analytics to identify what’s working and what needs adjustment, ensuring that you’re getting maximum value from your website traffic.
7. Email Marketing for Customer Retention
Targeted Campaigns and Personalization: Email marketing is one of the most effective tools for customer retention. A quality digital marketing agency will create personalized, segmented email campaigns that nurture leads and encourage repeat business.
Automated Marketing Sequences: Expect advanced automation sequences that send emails based on user behavior, such as browsing history, purchase patterns, and engagement with past emails, keeping your brand top of mind for existing and potential customers.
8. Data-Driven Performance Tracking and Analytics
Comprehensive Reporting and Insights: One of the hallmarks of a top digital marketing agency is its transparency with data. Expect detailed, regular reports that highlight key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, engagement, and conversions. This allows you to see the direct impact of each campaign.
Actionable Recommendations: Beyond just numbers, the best digital marketing services include actionable insights, helping you understand what the data means and how to optimize strategies for even better performance.
9. Transparent Communication and Support
Dedicated Account Management: Top agencies provide dedicated account managers who act as your main point of contact. They keep you informed about campaign progress, answer questions, and address any concerns.
Proactive, Regular Updates: Good communication is key to a successful partnership. The best agencies will offer proactive updates on campaigns, as well as regular meetings to discuss results, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Final Thoughts
Working with a digital marketing agency should be a partnership focused on long-term success, transparency, and achieving measurable results. By setting high standards and expecting a comprehensive approach, you can ensure you’re working with an agency that will not only provide the best digital marketing services but also act as a strategic partner in your business growth.

Employers desire foreign workers who are accustomed to the hazardous work sites of industrial construction; in particular, they specifically solicit migrants who do not have a history of labor organizing within SWANA. In response, labor brokerage firms brand themselves as offering migrant workers who are deferential. Often, labor brokers conflate the category of South Asian with docility; [...] as inherently passive, disciplined, and, most important, unfettered by volatile working conditions. "We say quality, they [U.S. employers] say seasoned. We both know what it means. Workers who are not going to quit, not going to run away in the foreign country and do as they are told.” [...]
For migrants, the U.S. oil industry presents a rare chance to apply their existing skill set in a country with options for permanent residency and sponsorship of family members. Migrants wish to find an end to their temporary worker status; they imagine the United States as a liberal economy in which labor standards are enforced and there are opportunities for citizenship and building a life for their family. [...] What brokers fail to explain is that South Asian migrants are being recruited as guest workers. Migrants will not have access to U.S. citizenship or visas for family members; in fact, their employment status will be quite similar to their SWANA migration.
While nations such as the Philippines have both state-mandated and independent migrant rights agencies, the Indian government has minimal avenues for worker protection. These are limited to hotlines for reporting abusive foreign employers and Indian consulates located in a few select countries of the SWANA region. [... Brokers] emphasize the docility of Indian migrants in comparison to the disruptive tendencies of other Asian migrant workers. [...] “Some of these Filipino men you see make a lot of trouble in the Arab countries. Even their women, who work as maids and such, lash out. The employer says one wrong thing and the workers get the whole country [the Philippines] on the street. [...] But you don’t see our people creating a tamasha [spectacle] overseas.” [...] Just as Filipinx migrants are racialized to be undisciplined labor, Indian brokers construct divisions within the South Asian workforce to promote the primacy of their own firms. In particular, Pakistani workers are racialized as an abrasive population.
[...] While the public image of the South Asian American community remains as model minorities, presumed to be primarily upwardly mobile professionals, the global reality of the population is quite to the contrary. [...] From the historic colonial routes initiated by British occupation of South Asia to the emergence of energy markets within the countries of SWANA, migrants have been recruited to build industries by contributing their labor to construction projects. Within the last decade, these South Asian migrants, with experience in the SWANA oil industry, have been actively solicited as guest workers into the energy sector of the United States. The growth of hydraulic fracturing has opened new territory for oil extraction; capitalizing on the potential market are numerous stakeholders who have invested in industrial construction projects across the southwestern United States. The solicitation of South Asian construction workers is not coincidental. [...] Kartik, a globally competitive firm’s broker, explains the connection of Indian labor to practices of the past. “You know we come from a long history of working in foreign lands. Even the British used to send us to Africa and the Arab regions to work in the mines and oil fields. It’s part of our history.”
Seasoning Labor: Contemporary South Asian Migrations and the Racialization of Immigrant Workers, Saunjuhi Verma in the Journal of Asian American Studies

⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ ➛ out of the woods - chapter seven (ls2)
Tumblr media
Logan tries to give the two of short break in Bali. Which does succeed, but then the Canadian GP tears down anything Dhanishka had left to stand on. Good thing she's got Logan, the Norris' and Charles, right?
warnings/notes: alright buckle in. Like two sex jokes, car accidents, concussions/migraines, lightly mentioned injuries, the FIA doing their job, heavy heavy betrayal, me yet again trying to hint at the biggest Marketing Ploy x Out Of The Woods connection no one has noticed LMAO
Tumblr media
Logan's arm is firm around my waist as I stir the food in the pan, watching the sizzle of the chicken against the oil underneath it. I murmur along to the song playing, and Logan sways us to the rhythm. I'm home for a weekend with him while my parents are off in Cambridge with my sister for her college visit. We'd taken the invitation to house sit, deciding to take a full break in the short interim off we have before we both have to leave for Canada.
"We should go somewhere." Logan hums, mouth peppering a kiss to my bare shoulder next to the strap of my tank top. He's been abnormally clingy, and while I would usually mind... it feels nice.
"Where would we even go, Lo?"
He smiles, beginning to pepper soft kisses to my shoulder, trailing them up my neck as he speaks, "Well, Dalton and his wife are in Bali this weekend. He told me he wants to see you again."
"Bali? That's a like.. fifteen hour flight from here." I chuckle, squirming when his kisses get a little ticklish around my neck and the air he huffs out in a alguh rolls across my skin.
"Fifteen hours there, then a twenty three hour flight to Canada." He says, "I looked into it."
I blink, then look down at him, "You already bought the tickets, didn't you?"
Logan smirks and I laugh, capturing his lips in a soft kiss, "I'll tell my parents tonight when they get back. I'm sure they won't mind."
Logan grins and pops a few more kisses to my lips, cheeks, and forehead before I shooing him away so I can keep cooking. The meal I'm making is not something I'd typically be eating, because its for Logan's meal plan, but luckily his team had let me throw in a small bit of Indian influence to the dish via a makeshift biryani dish. Which I know Logan's been missing by the way he melts when he steals a bite.
"You cook like your mom used to when we were kids." Logan groans against my shoulder and I laugh, taking my own spoonful and pouting a bit because its not as flavorful as we used to make it.
"You have to come to Bahrain over your winter break so you can have a proper Aayi Dubey biryani with all the spices and such." I muse, "it's lacking my mothers proper smothering of spices, sadly meal plans do restrict us from going full Indian mother here."
Logan nods, taking a bit more of the rice dish into his mouth and I laugh softly before making us two bowls of it to eat. He starts washing up some of the dishes while I'm setting the table, and I mange to pull him away to eat--promising we'll finish cleaning later.
We don't talk of much, other than him calling Dalton to let him know we'll be in Bali in two days their time. He taps his sock against my leg as I stare out the window at the setting sun. It's comfortable, just existing with him.
"I never thought we'd get here." Logan admits and I turn, looking at him curiously which makes him continue, "I thought you'd hate me through this whole thing after that night and we'd never speak again."
"I did too, to be honest." I laugh softly, finishing off the last of my rice and setting the bowl aside to take Logan's hands to stop him from picking at his fingers, "I called Lando about it, since he was the only person I knew in London at the time since Oscar was... I don't even remember, and Charles was in Monaco. I went to his and Olivia's apartment, the one they have over here because of McLaren? They told me I should just go through with the plan and do the whole fake dating thing because we kinda had too, but also to see if it maybe wasn't as one sided as I thought."
Logan just starts to giggle, small laughs that slowly grow louder before he brings my hand to his lips again, kissing my palm and then each finger.
"What's got you like this?" I laugh in response, and he grins at me sloppily with the most lovestruck look as his lips hover over my left hand. His bottom lip just brushing along my ring finger as he smiles and shrugs.
"Funnily enough, Dalton told me the same thing.” He firmly kisses my ring finger now, and just resorts to playing with my hands as a fidget instead, “You really fell for me huh?"
And now it's my turn to laugh, standing up to lean over the table to properly kiss my boyfriend. He grins, meeting me halfway with a gentle caress of my jaw and when we pull back, I rest my forehead to his.
"I was always in love with you, dumbass."
Hours later we're at that same table, Logan making sure the little decorative centerpiece my mother has is perfectly clean while I dot my lipstick back to perfection.
I figured cleaning the entire house and then making ourselves well pull together would keep my father from realizing we'd done nothing but laze around for the last few days.
Hey, we were on break, okay?
“Aw fuck.” I complain as I twist out my lipstick a bit more. Logan hums, looking over at me as I groan impatiently as I pull the whole tube up.
At the second groan he asks, “What’s a matter?”
“I’m almost out of lipstick.” I whine in complaint and he huffs out a laugh, stepping around the table to press a few soft kisses to my cheek.
"We can buy more tomorrow, yeah? Isn't there a Dior in City Centre?" He hums, pressing a kiss to my lips that has me rubbing the lipstick off his lips with a laugh as his arms wrap firmly around my waist.
"Yes, but it's fine, I can get it later and--"
Logan cuts me off with a firmer kiss this time, letting me wipe the lipstick off his lips again as he says, "Let me buy you a refill. For old times sake."
"Fine." I smile as the door opens and Logan retracts to just make it look like he was taking the lipstick from me to put it in my purse. I smile as Anya bounces to my side and starts babbling about the campus and such. I glance over my shoulder to see Logan with mt parents and the smile and wink my mom sends me says one thing,
This is all gonna work out.

I'm standing in the bathroom of the hotel this time when Logan wraps his arms around my waist. I can hear Dalton and Ashlynn laughing in the connected living room, it feels weirdly homely as he presses a soft kiss to my jaw as one of his hands rubs small soothing circles against my hip bone.
"James call you?" I asked, I had been the one to hand him his phone, so I had seen the caller ID.
"He asked about you, actually." Logan rests his head on my shoulder once I've finished fixing up my hair and I hum as I lean back into his touch. His arms are firm, and the way his gaze wanders across my face tells me he's thinking as he takes one of my hands. My left ring finger is pecked by his lips before he settles them back at my waist again.
"Me?" I hum, watching the way he nods and still thinks. I assume it's the wording as his hands fiddle with something. I'm too focused on doing my eyeliner to look.
"You didn't answer your phone and he wanted to say he’s got the final draft of your contract ready to be signed.”
I laugh softly, looking at him in the mirror, “Wow, already?”
"Mhm." Logan kisses my cheek once I'm done with my eyeliner and steps aside to just watch me finish up my makeup. Once I've sprayed myself down with setting spray, I go to grab my lipstick and open it, pausing when I notice it's refilled.
Logan wears a triumphant smile.
"You." I poke his chest and giggle, capping the lipstick before turning around to kiss him. He laughs into the kiss, catching himself on the doorway as his hands slide around my lower back. One kiss turns to two, and ever since we'd fallen back in love it'd been impossible to keep off of eachother. Like we were making up for lost time.
A few seconds after a soft groan leaves the back of Logan's throat, followed by my giggle, Dalton shouts,
"I'm walking in, you both better be dressed!"
Logan and I laugh and I part from him, lifting my hands to fix up the bits of his hair that I'd jostled. Dalton smiles as he steps in and looks us over.
"What did you think we were doing?" Logan says to Dalton who shrugs, punching his brothers arm.
"Something not PG." Dalton shrugs and I blush, now taking my turn to whack his chest.
"Not with your immature ass around," I hum, turning back to finish up my make-up while Dalton and Logan talk about getting to our dinner reservation.
It's weird how naturally I slot into this little family, like I've always belonged.
Tumblr media
Canada starts great. Luckily for Logan, and his success in straights, theres quite a few here. Unluckily for me, it means my overtaking this weekend is gonna be shit.
But, I know I'll fight.
I qualify Q3, beating Logan out by less than .5 or even smaller. I can't even really remember as the whole weekends a blur. Ferrari is practically running me ragged, insane amounts of training, simulator work, media... I'm exhausted each night when I fall into Logan's hotel room bed. His arms barely wrapping around me before I'm asleep against his chest.
He promises it's okay, but I feel like shit each morning for not spending time with him. But he just presses a kiss to my jaw and squeezes my hip as I get out of bed way too early to shower.
And after three nights of that, it's time for the race. By Sunday I feel like a husk, trudging myself to the garage with a water bottle full of Red Bull I'd stolen from Max. I go through the motions, take my migraine medication just as a precaution as I feel a headache forming.
And the first half of the race is fine, until I overtake Oscar to fight Carlos for P3. And I manage to get him on the hairpin turn, but something is weird about how easily he lets me by. The back wheel of my car clips something and I start to spin. I right myself, but narrowly dodge Carlos, who whips around me.
It's fine. I'm fine.
Something bumps me again and I check my mirrors, one of the RB cars coming very close to my side. I curse, steering in a bit more and understeering to get out of who I assume is Yuki's way before I'm blocking him from overtaking.
When did he get around Oscar?
"Wing damage, wing damage, I need to box." I curse into my headset, feeling the steering starting to go. It's always my steering first, I expect the rear wing to follow shortly.
"Copy."
I turn in a bit harder now, trying to get to the pit lane. It's becoming harder to steer and I feel panic rising in my stomach but I clamp it down. All I can do in this moment is trust myself, and trust my training.
I don't make it to the pitlane.
We go back through the hairpin and Carlos juts out, making me swerve to dodge. With my shit steering, it sends me into a spin. I shriek, grabbing my harness as the car--and the world around me, shuffles and spins. When the car stills I huff out slow breaths, willing myself to open my eyes.
I'm in the wall.
I can't move.
I force breaths in, force my hands to unstick from my harness. My hands come to the steering wheel and I shake, trying to disconnect it. Everything feels disconnected. I can't hear. The world is blurry. I feel sick. Sicker than sick. I manage to get the steering wheel out, tossing it up to the top of the car.
I realize no ones called for me over the radio, through the incessant ringing in my ears.
I click off the restraints slowly, trying not to jostle my aching ribs, and I get out of my car with shaking arms. And then promptly fall back in.
"Fuck!" I shriek, groaning and arching my back out of pure pain. Two hands come to my shoulders and I lift my head to see Lando. I know he's talking, but my head is swimming too much to focus on his words.
"C'mon, Danny." Lando's voice finally cuts through when he lifts my visor, "C'mon, we're gonna get you out, okay?"
"Your race..!" I gasp and he shakes his head.
"I can always get more points later, but I can't do anything if you're seriously injured and I don't help you now." He says and I nod. His hands grab under my shoulders and he helps hoist me up to sit on the halo. I try to focus, but find myself in a haze.
Somehow, I end up on a stretcher. My helmet is off and I blink slowly as Lando holds my hands.
"Dhanishka." He says softly. When did he take his helmet off?
"Lando." I hum back as the stretcher starts to roll. He follows, his hands tight in mine as he follows inside the ambulance. They've got me covered in blankets, and something clicks.
"Lando. Lando." I start saying, slapping his hands when he's not looking at me. He stops, taking my hands in his, but I just see that he's looking at me so I gasp out, "tell Logan to race. He's gonna wanna not because I got hit, tell him he has to. Tell him I said so."
When Lando nods, coaxing me to lay down again as they strap me in, I feel a bit more at ease... but the world is still soft and fuzzy and I still feel sick.
Tumblr media
Concussed, strained muscles around my ribs, and something fucked up with my shoulder.
I'm out fully for a week, I'll skip Barcelona and be back for Austria.
Lando and Olivia are by my side when I'm told. Olivia taking it upon herself to use my phone to call my parents to let them know what was going on, and when she disappears into the hall, Lando keeps a soothing hand intertwined with mine. It's my first injury, ever. Not just a sore spot that'll go away.
And of course, the hazy symptom I'd been feeling all weekend had to be a major migraine on its way. So I'm grumpy, in serious pain, and quickly losing my stomach in a hospital bathroom while a nurse gently ties my hair back and rubs my shoulders while Lando goes out in the hall to grab Olivia.
I'm so weak I can hardly move, and the nurse is so kind, so gentle. It makes me want to cry as she guides me through the hardest parts of my migraine and gets some painkillers for my IV when it's clear I'm only set to get worse.
It takes off the edge as I'm coaxed to lay down in bed once more, a bucket off to the side if needed.
I learn from the TV playing in the room that Logan went on to place P5 behind Oscar, Carlos, Charles, and Max, in that upwards succession. Which makes me feel better a bit as Lando and Olivia help me get situated. It's only been maybe twenty minutes since the race ended, but I can hear more commotion outside than before.
A nurse calls out my room number and it takes maybe two seconds before Logan comes through the door, still in his racing gear, holding his helmet, panting like he’d ran straight here.
He had, hadn't he?
“Isa.” he sighs and I smile, extending a heavy arm to him. He shuts the door, blocking the hall light and makes his way inside the little makeshift room. He slots perfectly against my side and gently kisses my head, sighing once he’s got me safe in his hands. I wrap my un-IV'd arm around Logan shoulder, kissing what part of his head I can reach without moving. He settles me back against the blankets as Lando gives him his chair, going to get another from the hall.
Olivia sighs softly and moves a bit closer to check my IV, “She’s pretty badly concussed. Strained some muscles around her ribs and her shoulder. She's out for Barcelona, they're gonna try to get her back in for Austria."
"Ah, shit." Logan hums and I lean into his touch so he shifts so one of his hands holds mine, the other running through the wispy bangs by my face that have fallen out of my ponytail.
"Lo..." I murmur softly and he hums, looking down at my small pout. A tiny smile crosses his lips as he leans down to peck mine, then rests his forehead to mine as I whine, "my head hurts."
"I know, baby." He's basically crooning, kissing the tip of my nose and squeezing my hand, "you're gonna be alright."
Olivia gives a tiny sigh, patting Lando's arm and making a vague motion for him to follow her out of the room. They leave me and Logan in silence, the only sound the soft noise of his thumb running along my knuckles, the heart monitors methodical beeps, and the occasional kiss.
Tumblr media
Logan, Lando, and Olivia take me back to Ferrari. The two Norris' waiting outside while I slip in with Logan. I'm only half sneaking him in and out, because if Ferrari even tried to raise hell with me when I was as in pain and as pissed off as I was right now, someone would be getting hit.
I nod to Charles when I enter and he gives me a half nod, trying to conceal the way I sneak Logan in by engrossing the engineer with a few more questions about... my car?
Why mine? Why not his?
I let the question slip from my mind, I figure I can ask him later, and go to my room. Logan helps me collect my stuff, having already brought me a change of clothes to the hospital given to him by Charles. Logan uses my phone to send a text to my manager Lucie to show her the damage to the suit, helmet, and shoes so she can get me set for new ones and then we make sure I have all my belongings and bounce.
I'm halfway through shutting the door when I hear Charles shout, "You did what?!"
"She's an idiot if she hasn't realized by now." I hear a mechanic say and I clamp a hand over Logan's mouth, he's about to complain (which, I'm sneaking him out of my drivers room, he has no right to) when a cruel laugh echoes followed by Charles' shocked gasp.
A short conversation in French, slowly getting louder and louder, is cut off by a loud slap and a scuffle. Eyes widening as I hear the two beginning to shout even louder and I grab Logan by the sleeve and shove him in my drivers room. His big eyes watch me as I pause, one hand on the door before I curse and look back at him with a sort of flame in my eyes.
"Stay!" I hiss, before slamming the door shut and following the hall to the garage. He feet carry me, sliding on the balls of my feet into the room as Charles shoved a mechanic against a wall.
"Charlie!" I shriek despite my head pounding, moving forward, knocking him to the ground with my shoulder. As he fall he pants up at me and I turn to the mechanic, then down to Charles, then step back.
"What the fuck is going on?!"
Charles wipes blood from his own nose and slowly rises to his feet. There's a challenge in his eyes, and a challenge in the mechanics--and I come to realize that Aakash stands off to the side with his fists tight.
"What is this?!" I shout again and look down the hall where Astrid is dragging Logan out of my room and I blink, straightening up. She basically tosses Logan at me, and my arms shoot out to grab him as he sticks to my side.
"Ferrari's been purposefully fucking up your car this entire season! Aakash and his--" Charles starts to say before Aakash moves. It's Logan who manages to intercept, shoving me behind him as he shoves Aakash to the floor. My eyes widen to literal dinner plates, backing up until my back hits something and I look up to see Olivia.
Lando seems to have given up on holding her back as she holds her phone up.
"Charles, talk." She snips and the Monégasques listens, quickly spilling everything from his lips as Logan keeps Aakash and the other mechanic at bay, Astrid glaring daggers.
"Aakash has been having the engineers purposefully loosen the steering and rear wings, causing any and all jostling to randomly disengage them. They have it all written out on Aakash's computers, even if he tries to delete the files Ferrari keeps all changes up to a month." Charles shouts, moving closer to where Olivia keeps a hold on my shoulders. Logan backs off as well when Lando calls him over, but the guys stand in front of me and Olivia, like a wall.
"Astrid's plan was to have Dhaniska continuously wreck out so that there would be positive PR of Logan coming to her aid, but bad PR for Dhanishka because she keeps wrecking." Charles says and I see Olivia's jaw tick, her eyes glancing back to Lando's who's are equally as shifty.
Somethings not right.
Olivia and Lando echo each other as they say, "Who?"
"My manager," Logan peeks over his shoulder, "Astrid Marina."
"Oh you've gotta be--" Lando starts but Olivia's shoving her phone in my hands. And I'm reminded of the time Lando had called her the 'most aggressive Piastri' at a bar during Monaco's weekend as he darts forward but not before Olivia delivers a strong backhand to Astrid.
"You fucking bitch! They're not your little PR playthings!" Olivia screams and Lando grabs her arm, pulling her back as she keeps shouting, "I should've made sure no fucking team ever hired you again but I didn't think anyone was that level of stupid!"
Logan and I share a confused look. How the fuck does Olivia know Astrid and what the hell did Astrid do to her?
“She’s Astrid?!” Charles shouts, “what the fuck?”
“Why do you all know her!” Logan shouts and the room goes quiet. Olivia's mouth gapes, but it's interrupted by a few stewards entering the garage to see what's happening. My headache flares and I grip Logan's arm when everyone starts shouting over each other and he escorts me outside where it's a bit colder and a lot quieter.
"I-I don't understand." I eventually choke out, and Logan wraps me tight in his arms. Soft kisses are pressed to my head as he coaxes me to sit with him on the ground outside Ferrari.
And when a steward approaches us, and he sits with us, I wish I could be surprised by the fact we're being interrogated.
But yet, I'm not surprised.

In the district of Garhwal in the Indian Himalayas, at 10,000 feet (3,048 meters) above sea level, forests of sycamore, chestnut, and rhododendron gradually give way to gently sloping grasslands.
Known locally as bugyals (from the Garhwali word bug for soft grasses), these meadows were the favored grazing grounds of communities of trans-Himalayan traders [...]. High-altitude meadows are home to musk deer, moonal pheasants, and a variety of flowers, grasses (such as the scented jambu), medicinal herbs, and roots (jadi butiyan). Garhwali villagers had long used the jadi butiyan of bugyals for household consumption and trade. Customary restrictions [...] made this usage sustainable.
The advent of [...] [colonial and institutional] forestry in the princely state of Tehri-Garhwal (the Tehri Durbar), together with the growth of an urban elite Hindu market for Ayurvedic potions, arguably transformed the social lives of Himalayan herbs. [...]
---
Works by upper-caste elites, such as the Maharaja of Gondal’s Aryan Medical Science (1895), claimed an exclusively “Hindu” provenance for the medicinal practices of Ayurveda. The nationalist reinvention of modern Ayurveda generated a market for medicinal herbs dominated by over a dozen firms by 1910. This emergent urban [...] bourgeois market for herbal medicines provides the context for the Tehri Durbar’s arguably unique project to commodify Himalayan herbs. Whereas the British government was reluctant to expand the plantation and manufacture of indigenous drugs, the Durbar established a separate department for the purpose, called the Vanaspati Karyalaya, that worked closely with the Forest Department.
Subordinated to the British government, the Tehri Durbar had begun contracting out vast swathes of pine and deodar forests to timber traders from the mid-nineteenth century onwards. In 1879 the Durbar’s Forest Department [...] restricted peasant access to common resources. Restrictions on the sale and collection of forest produce were put in place between 1878 and 1885, [...] precipitating numerous forest dhandaks (uprisings) as a consequence. Rules governing forest access changed in response to such protests and by 1930 prohibitions on the collection of and trade in medicinal herbs were lifted in certain areas.
The foundation of the Vanaspati Karyalaya prompted the systematization of the Forest Department’s initial efforts to monetize the collection of herbs through taxes, contracts, and tenders. By 1927 the department was working with the Karyalaya to carry out the sale of medicinal herbs, such as Gugal, Mashi, Atis, and Kawri, yielding an income of 18,294 rupees. [...] From the Durbar’s Annual Reports, [...] the Karyalaya’s preparation of Ayurvedic medicines seemed to have commanded “ready sale” primarily in the domestic market. Subsequently, therefore, the Forest Department focused on the overall sale and plantation of herbs while the Karyalaya specialized in the processing of herbs.
---
Anticipating an extension of markets “as demand for Himalayan medicines grows,” the Durbar charted a project of mass plantation to overcome the “expense and difficulty of searching for herbs of indigenous growth” that were “scattered among other herb plants and weeds.”
The bugyals of Garhwal were thus classified as “wastelands” from which “practically no income at present can be derived.”
This justified plans for the cultivation of aconites such as kut and atis on a projected area of 2,000 square miles (517,997 hectares) of alpine grassland. In the 1930s, the Durbar initiated the plantation of kut in the Ganga Bhillangana Forest Division, employing trained gardeners as well as “coolie” labor to transplant herbs from nurseries to enclosed meadows. Thus, bugyals hitherto controlled by villagers [...] were gradually being enclosed for herb plantations. The Karyalaya also opened a pharmaceutical works just outside the town of Rishikesh at Muni ki Reti [...]. Graduates of [...] colleges in Delhi and Calcutta [...] were hired for these operations. [...] [T]he Tehri Durbar’s move towards the mass plantation and processing of herbs risked dispossessi[on] [...] as well as eliding local knowledges related to jadi butiyan.
The story of the Vanaspati Karyalaya arguably suggests how complex cultural associations between the Himalayas and healing were becoming commodified.

I was looking into where COP is going it be hosted because it can tie in to earthshot, and of course Brazil is next year. COP31 (2026) is likely to be in Australia which is also a strong contender for earthshot, India is bidding for COP33 in 2028….
My reasoning on a potential Indian Earthshot is below this.
India better stay away from cop33 & Earthshot, especially after their latest 'achievements' in the conservation sector. The govt is fantastic in making bold claims but in reality, can't do shit. And I for one don't want william anywhere near that dumpster fire of hypocrites.
There's so many examples of their sheer incompetence, there's a polluted river in india - yamuna. Between 2017 - 2021 (or 22) I believe more than ₹6,800 crores of taxpayer money was spent on cleaning that death trap and it still is as dirty as it was when all this first began. There's actual toxic foam of ammonia and phosphates that floats around it 24/7.
Then just this week news came out that 25 Tigers, (which are an endangered species btw and also part of a very ambitious conservation project 'Project Tiger' started in 1973) have been untraceable from a state run national park for the past year. The only reason this came out was because another tiger was found dead from that forest.
And just yesterday, it came out that 10 elephants died in another state run park last month because they were fed...fungal infected millets.
Heck, Delhi? The capital? It's consistently been one of the most polluted cities of the world for years. It's a literal gas chamber, which gets the worst around the current time coz of various issues. Now diwali falls around this time and because of the air quality, the Indian supreme court banned any sort of crackers/fireworks to be burnt in the area? Sounds amazing right? But guess what since crackers have come to be associated with Diwali which is a hindu festival. So the members of the ruling party within their agenda have turned this ban into an attack on religion and consistently provoke their supporters on this ground urging them to burn crackers and make delhi insufferable for all.
This is just 4 examples, there's so many that if I start listing them, we'll be here for a long time.
Moreover, the current ruling party will only twist the visit to fill into their own agenda of hate mongering & political capital as they have been known to do with every such visit.
Also the govt quite literally cordoned off low income neighborhoods that fell on route of the attendees in Delhi with plastic barriers and police personnel during the G20 in 2023, to make sure no world leader saw anything other than the rosy picture they were putting out.
Now imagine what would happen in case of something like COP33. Ofc they would do similar repulsive things then also and imagine how harmful being attached to something like this with a potential Earthshot will be for William and his public image!
I would love for him to come here, Earthshot is such a fabulous initiative, and there's such a booming environmental startup sector in India like Phool (I personally am aware of their situation. My mum's cousin runs a marketing firm and she's the one who handles everything for them, and she's told me so much about how Earthshot has helped them since 2022 with linking them to investors, other similar businesses, exposure etc) or Kheyti etc etc which deserve to be highlighted.
But in the past 10 years buisness and government have become so intrinsically linked in india that no matter what the ruling party will hijack the contributions of these organizations like they do.
So yeah maybe I'm being a narrow minded idiot but Earthshot in India rn? Will only lead to credibility issues.
Now let's hope I don't go to jail for putting all this here by exercising my fundamental right under Article 19(1)(a).

The Importance of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for Website Visibility
In the ever evolving landscape of digital marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) stands as a crucial element for enhancing website visibility and driving organic traffic. As more businesses and content vie for attention online, effective SEO practices become indispensable for ensuring your website stands out in search engine results. This article explores why SEO is vital for improving website visibility and provides insights into how it can benefit your digital marketing strategy.
 What is SEO?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) refers to the process of optimizing your website to rank higher on search engine results pages (SERPs). The goal is to increase the quantity and quality of organic traffic to your site by making it more relevant and accessible to search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo. SEO involves various techniques and strategies aimed at improving your website’s search engine rankings and overall online presence.
Why SEO is Crucial for Website Visibility
1. Enhanced Search Engine Rankings
SEO is primarily about improving your website’s position in search engine results. Websites that rank higher are more likely to be seen and clicked by users. Studies show that the top three search results on Google receive the majority of clicks, with the first result capturing over 30% of the traffic. Effective SEO helps your website achieve higher rankings, making it more visible to potential visitors.
2. Increased Organic Traffic
Organic traffic is traffic that comes to your website through unpaid search results. Unlike paid advertising, which requires continuous investment, SEO provides a sustainable way to attract visitors without incurring ongoing costs. By optimizing your site for relevant keywords and improving its overall quality, you can drive a steady stream of organic traffic.
3. Improved User Experience
A well optimized website not only ranks higher but also provides a better user experience. SEO involves enhancing your site’s structure, navigation, and loading speed, which can lead to a more user friendly experience. A site that is easy to navigate, loads quickly, and delivers relevant content keeps users engaged and reduces bounce rates.
4. Credibility and Trust
Search engine rankings play a significant role in how users perceive the credibility of your website. Higher-ranking sites are often viewed as more authoritative and trustworthy. Effective SEO helps you build a solid online reputation, which can increase user trust and drive more traffic to your site.
5. Cost Effective Marketing
Compared to paid advertising, SEO is a cost effective marketing strategy. While it requires an initial investment of time and resources, the long  term benefits of higher rankings and organic traffic provide a higher return on investment. Once your website achieves a good ranking, maintaining it typically involves less ongoing expense compared to continuous ad spend.
6. Targeted Traffic
SEO helps you attract targeted traffic by optimizing your website for specific keywords and phrases relevant to your business. This means that the visitors coming to your site are more likely to be interested in your products or services. Targeted traffic often leads to higher conversion rates, as these users are actively searching for what you offer.
7. Competitive Advantage
In a competitive online landscape, SEO can give you an edge over competitors. By implementing effective SEO strategies, you can outrank competitors for valuable keywords and capture a larger share of the market. Staying ahead in search engine rankings can be a decisive factor in gaining a competitive advantage.
 Key Elements of Effective SEO
1. Keyword Research and Optimization
Keyword research involves identifying the terms and phrases your target audience uses to search for products or services similar to yours. Effective SEO requires optimizing your website’s content with these keywords to improve relevance and visibility in search results.
2. On Page SEO
On page SEO refers to optimizing individual web pages to rank higher and attract relevant traffic. This includes optimizing meta tags, headings, images, and content. Ensuring that your content is high quality, relevant, and engaging is crucial for on page SEO.
3. Technical SEO
Technical SEO focuses on the backend aspects of your website that affect its performance and indexability. Key elements include improving site speed, ensuring mobile responsiveness, fixing broken links, and implementing structured data. Technical SEO ensures that search engines can effectively crawl and index your site.
4. Content Creation
High quality, informative, and engaging content is essential for SEO success. Content creation involves producing valuable articles, blog posts, videos, and other forms of media that address the needs and interests of your audience. Regularly updating and adding fresh content helps maintain relevance and improve rankings.
5. Link Building
Link building is the process of acquiring backlinks from other reputable websites. Backlinks act as endorsements of your content’s quality and relevance. Effective linkbuilding strategies include guest posting, influencer outreach, and creating shareable content.
6. Local SEO
For businesses targeting local customers, local SEO is crucial. This involves optimizing your website for local search queries, creating and optimizing Google My Business listings, and obtaining local citations to improve visibility in local search results.
 Conclusion
SEO is a fundamental component of digital marketing that plays a crucial role in improving website visibility, driving organic traffic, and enhancing user experience. By focusing on key elements like keyword optimization, technical SEO, and high quality content, you can achieve higher search engine rankings and attract more targeted traffic to your site.
In a competitive online environment, investing in SEO services and implementing effective strategies will help your website stand out, build credibility, and achieve longterm success. Embracing SEO as a core element of your digital marketing strategy is essential for maximizing your online presence and reaching your business goals.

Back in the 1980s, when polenta was the hot new item on restaurant menus, I was eager to try it. I knew it was a traditional Italian dish, but it was foreign to everyone else, including me. I bought a package of cornmeal, began the preparation, and when it was done I realized I had been eating it all my life. It was the same dish Jonathan Harker ate before his encounter with Count Dracula in Bram Stoker’s novel, known in the American South as “cornmeal mush” and “pap” in South Africa. But I knew it as mamaliga, which had been a staple in my grandma’s Romanian kitchen.
Because mamaliga was such an essential in our lives, I didn’t realize that most of my Jewish friends had never heard of it. The hallways in the buildings we lived in all had the same familiar scents of Ashkenazi staples we all knew — chicken soup, challah, braising briskets, and roasting chickens. Shared values and menus.
Except when it came to mamaliga, which I learned was limited to those of us whose ancestors were from Romania.
While our family was dining on cornmeal mush, everyone else was eating kasha varnishkes, a dish I ate regularly only after tasting it at my future mother-in-law’s house (it was love at first bite).
It all has to do with geography, I think. Polenta/mamaliga is based on cornmeal, which had been unknown anywhere except the Americas, where corn is indigenous. Christopher Columbus and other Spanish and Portuguese explorers brought corn to western Europe and Africa, where it flourished. Cornmeal became a staple.
Turkish traders noticed corn grain in the markets of Africa and brought some “granoturco” back to Southeast Europe, including the region we now know as Romania, which then belonged to the Ottoman Empire. In 1692, a Romanian nobleman tried some, thought it worthy, and introduced it to Romania. It became the country’s national dish.
A few years ago I visited “the old country,” including the city of Iasi, where my grandparents were born, and laid stones on the graves of my great-grandparents who are buried in the one remaining Jewish cemetery (when my grandparents lived there, the city was about one-third Jewish).
Naturally we sampled mamaliga, which is ever-present on every restaurant menu. It’s usually served as a side dish, much like any starch, but in my childhood, my grandma, and later on my mother, served mamaliga in a multitude of ways, including our favorite, mamaliga cu branza si smetana – mamaliga with cheese and sour cream, served for lunch or as a side dish at dairy dinners.
In my own kitchen, I’ve learned that mamaliga is incredibly versatile. I’ve used it as a substitute for potatoes, noodles, and rice (complete with butter, sauce, or gravy). I’ve served it as a full meal, as a topping for brisket or chicken pot pie filling, with mushroom ragout, and with caramelized onions and cheese. I’ve even mixed it with molasses and cream to make a quick Indian pudding.
The leftovers are spectacular, too. In fact, in Romanian households they make extra mamaliga to pour into a loaf pan, let it firm up, and then cut slices to fry to crispy goodness. I’ve served fried slices of “Romanian toast” for breakfast, topped them with gravy or cheese for lunch, or with a fried egg for dinner.
It’s no wonder that the Romanians called dried ground corn mamaliga, a word that translates to “food of gold.” It’s a tribute not merely to the grain’s beautiful yellow color, but to its adaptability. Whatever you call it, this dish is an enduring winner and, as far as I am concerned, another treasure of the Ashkenazi kitchen.

In recent years, there has been an increased awareness among grassroots activists, organizations, academics, and journalists about the close relations between India and Israel and what it portends. In January 2020, BDS India, the Indian news sites News Click and the People's Dispatch released a report detailing the extent of the India-Israel military relationship. The report, titled: "Israel-India Military Relations: Ideological Paradigms of Security" argued that Israel's military ideology, methodology, and technology was sustained by the billion-dollar arms trade and collaboration with India. It described the import of these Israeli methods as "ominous" and "a threat to democracy and human rights wherever it is implemented." Affixed to the report, a warning: "The significant role of Israel in this steadily growing military-industrial complex in India should be cause of serious concern for our civil society." And this is not without precedent.
Israeli weapons, developed and field tested on Palestinians, have periodically found their way to some of the most autocratic and dangerous countries in the world. These include the genocides in Bosnia, Rwanda, and Myanmar. The Israeli arms industry therefore is not merely an introduction to technology, it is an invitation to Israeli governance and surveillance. Increasingly, anti-war activists, socialists, and those fighting for native and indigenous rights across the globe, be it in Hawaii or Ferguson, are recognizing the extent to which the Israeli occupation of Palestinians has served as a model for others to, if not emulate, then replicate in ways that help surmount the will of not just their own respective colonial or occupied territories, but also, increasingly, their citizens. It is here where the consequences of this relationship between India and Israel becomes clear: they are the blueprint and serve as a model for authoritarian regimes around the world.
Consider Elbit Systems, Israel's biggest arms manufacturer. It describes itself as "an international electronics defense company," which is to say it's in the business of producing products to repress at the behest of its clients. It builds several deadly weapons used by the Israeli military, including the Hermes 900, used since 2014 to survey and conduct airstrikes in the Gaza Strip. Elbit provides much of the technology for the apartheid barrier and the illegal checkpoints in Palestine. Most importantly for this discussion, Elbit's aspiration for market dominance is to shut down the competition by buying them out. "Elbit buys companies in quick succession, and each new market that opens to the firm through a new acquisition means it is involved in another conflict," Shir Hever writes. In other words, the expansion of war and conflict is its primary business. It is unsurprising that Elbit has its products in more than a dozen countries, including Colombia, Rwanda, Cameroon, Azerbaijan, and India.

9th July 1861 saw the birth of the shipping merchant, philanthropist and art lover William Burrell.
William left school at 13 to join his father and brother in the family business as a shipping merchant. He bought his first painting while still at school, with a few shillings he got from selling a cricket bat. It was the beginning of his 75-year collecting career.
His father and grandfather were involved in shipping. and, on his father's death, William and his brother took over the running of the firm. They developed the technique of ordering modern, advanced ships at rock bottom prices when the shipping market was in a slump, thus trading with brand new ships when the market recovered and then selling, at a large profit, when the market was at a peak. William also had an eye for detail and an astute eye for opportunities.
Having learned that a squadron of Royal Navy ships were on a flag waving exercise in distant ports, he realised they were likely to run out of coal and sent some of his ships to one of the ports of call, selling the cargo at a handsome profit.
The brothers amassed a large fortune and Burrell entered into local politics. He was active in the setting up of the Glasgow International Art Exhibition in 1901. At the age of 40 he married Constance Mitchell, daughter of another ship-owner and the following year, with the birth of a daughter, the family moved to a "Greek" Thomson designed house in Great Western Road.
Having again built up a large fleet of modern vessels, the brothers sold most of them during the First World War - at more than three times the building cost. It was at this stage that Burrell effectively retired and devoted the rest of his life to being an art collector.
He had a wide range of tastes but built up an important collection of Chinese ceramics, tapestries, stained glass, silver, bronzes, Persian and Indian rugs and furniture, travelling widely in the process. In 1916 he bought Hutton Castle in the Borders, although he did not move in to the castle until 1927. The same year he was knighted for his public work and services to art. He always had a good eye for a bargain - a 14th century Chines porcelain ewer was bought for 85 pounds and is now worth over 250,000 pounds.
In 1944, he gave almost his entire collection to the city of Glasgow along with 250,000 to construct a building to house it. However, the terms of the bequest (he thought it should be in a rural setting) posed problems and it was not until the 1970s that a building for the Burrell Collection, in Pollok Country Park, was eventually completed.
Just this year, after a major refurbishment and redisplay the Burrell Collection reopened More of the Collection is on show than ever before and exciting new galleries bring the objects to life, including more than 90 digital displays offering interactive and immersive experiences for visitors of all ages.
The new displays also tell the stories of the man behind the Collection, Sir William Burrell and his family.
The Burrell Collection is open 7 days a week, entry is free but donations welcome.

(As I close tabs) I thought the South Korean Small Businesses Suck blog post that was going around recently was very good for a "facts on the ground" summary - its a shockingly inefficient market sector, absolutely propped up by government largess and also simply part of an economy uninterested in allocating investments to fixing it and a society comfortable with that level of inefficiency. Its true low-hanging fruit that is difficult to pluck in the sclerotic age of today.
I am less convinced its a big part of the fertility transition in South Korea. Not zero, sure, but its big idea is that everyone is stuck in red queen races for the jobs at the best firms because the small business firms pay so badly. And that just isn't how people/societies tend to operate? People optimize their decisions but not that much, they don't have clear views of their future probability-adjusted wages ands are "studying more" in South Korea because the consequences are less. I think everyone rat races in a ton of societies, and there are other reasons that in the US or Japan that cuts off at a certain point while in South Korea it keeps ratcheting up.
And once someone is 30 and working at these small businesses they aren't in the main desperately clawing to switch over to samsung. That does happen in places! Look at Indian civil service exams takers, just sitting in abeyance waiting for retest opportunities for years wasting their time. It can happen, it just isn't what South Korea looks like. They switch over to their own career tracks, and are doing like crazy levels of after-work training to keep up at the low paid preschool or whatever. Huge numbers of people in South Korea don't go to college, or do vocational schools! Is their fertility higher? I haven't seen any evidence that is the case, or at least not by very much (like in most places lower income people have slightly higher fertility, I agree this plays a small role).
South Korea should fix this to be richer as a nation and more equal as a society; I think fixing their fertility woes is going come primarily from elsewhere.
