MY HAIR ROUTINE
I wash my hair every three days. I have wavy dark brown hair and my scalp starts to get oily while my ends remain dry. I just wash it when I feel it's necessary.
Hair oiling. I use sesame Oil before washing my hair in winters and coconut oil in summers. When my hair start to get extremely dry, I make a deep conditioning mask and steam my hair like they do in spas before washing it off too. Before sleeping I always apply rosemary oil and braid my hair.
Protective hairstyles for the night. I always tie my hair up in braids before sleeping and I almost never tie my hair up in a ponytail. From my own experience, it tugs at my forehead too much and I tend to get bald if i tie my hair for longer periods of time, Also, I use 100% cotton t-shirt as my hair towel to protect my hair and I sleep on satin pillowcases( A GEM).
I don't use heat. The only thing I do is steam my hair like once or twice a month after applying a deep conditioning mask only because I have extremely dry hair.
Trimming your ends. I Trim my hair every 3 months by myself. Invest in a good pair of haircutting scissors; it's so worth it!!
Some more secrets and weird stuff:
Start oiling your hair for growth. You can also try R-89 which I currently use.
Use hair-oils for shine and can also be used as hair serums. Currently, I use rosemary oil.
Switch to bamboo hair comb as they help spread natural oils evenly.
Switch to satin pillowcases (This is a must. Your hair will thank you)
Avoid washing your hair with hot water. Honestly, avoid bathing too. It dries your skin.
Use aloe vera gel instead of shampoo when you get buildup. If your hair is dry like mine you can use it for hydrating your hair too.
Don't use branded oils on your hair please. Get your oils directly from some local shop that are 100% virgin and who retreat the oil from the source in front of your eyes only. The ones in the market are not 100% virgin ever.
Please feel free to share your own suggestions, glow-up tips and further questions in the comments! <3

INDIAN CELEBRITY HAIR TRANSPLANT | BEFORE & AFTER PHOTOS
The world of Indian cinema is all about glamour, fashion, and style. Celebrities often set the trends in fashion and hairstyles.
Indian celebrities are no exception. Their luscious locks are the envy of many. However, not all of them are born with a full head of hair.
Many celebrities have undergone hair transplants to achieve their natural, long-lasting results.
In this article, we will explore Indian celebrity hair transplants, the process, the cost, and how it has transformed their lives.
What is a Hair Transplant?
A hair transplant is a cosmetic procedure that involves transplanting hair follicles from one part of the body to another.
The most common area for hair transplantation is the scalp, where it is used to treat male and female pattern baldness.
The process involves taking hair follicles from a donor area, typically the back or sides of the head, and transplanting them into the recipient area, which is usually the top of the head or the hairline.
Hair Transplant Techniques in India
India has become a popular destination for hair transplant surgeries due to the availability of skilled doctors, latest technologies, and affordable prices.
The success rate for hair transplants in India is also quite high, with many patients reporting natural-looking and long-lasting results.
New Roots Hair Clinic is the best hair transplant clinic in India as it offers different types of hair transplant techniques.
Here are the different techniques of hair transplant New Roots Hair Clinic offers:
FUE Hair Transplant
Sapphire FUE Hair Transplant
DHI Hair Transplant

Indian Celebrity Hair Transplant
Many Indian celebrities have undergone hair transplant surgeries to improve their appearance.
Some of the most well-known Indian celebrities who have undergone hair transplants are:
1. Salman Khan Hair Transplant
Salman Khan, one of the biggest superstars in Bollywood, started noticing a receding hairline in the early 2000s.
The pictures taken in his movies from 2003 to 2022 show signs of hair loss.
Following the unsatisfactory results of the first and second hair transplants, Salman Khan decided to have a third hair transplant procedure performed in 2016 at his Panvel farmhouse by Dubai-based hair transplant surgeons.
2. Rohit Roy Hair Transplant
Rohit Roy is a very popular Indian film and television actor. He has acted in many popular films, like Shootout at Lokhandwala, Kabil, and much more.
Actor Rohit Roy shared about his journey and told us that he started losing his hair at a very young age and tried the best products for hair growth and thickness like shampoo, cream, conditioner, and lotion to stop hair loss, but nothing worked for him.
He then decided to go through Sapphire FUE hair transplant surgery, as it is the latest technology.
He chose the New Roots Hair Transplant Clinic for his hair transplant surgery because he had seen many positive and 100% natural-looking results on our Instagram page.
He also compared us with other hair transplant clinics in Mumbai, but he was impressed with our hair transplant procedure and results.
3. Akshay Kumar Hair Transplant
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is a fitness role model to all his fans across the world.
Akshay Kumar underwent hair transplant surgery after he reportedly went bald.
The actor opted for the Follicular Unit Transplant procedure and used to wear wigs as he faced problems related to his hair.
4. Mukesh Bhat Hair Transplant
Actor Mukesh Bhat was having grade 7 hair loss, which generally requires about 6000 to 7000 grafts.
In grade 7 hair transplant, we have to cover a large area and the grafts in grade 7 hair transplant are very thin, and the quantity of grafts is very low.
Actor Mukesh Bhat always used to get young lead roles, but because of his grade 7 hair loss, he was not getting young lead roles. So, it was very necessary to give him back his natural look.
During shoots, Mukesh Bhat used to hide his baldness by wearing caps or bandanas.
Actor Mukesh Bhat is very happy with his look, feels confident while acting, and is impressed with our best hair transplant clinic in Mumbai.
5. Kapil Sharma Hair Transplant
Kapil Sharma, a well-known Indian comedian, actor, and television host, had to undergo hair transplant surgery because of the visible bald patches on his head.
Usually celebrities opt for a “hair patch” which is a restoration of artificial hair in the bald area.
But Kapil Sharma underwent a hair transplant to save his receding hairline, and the result is quite visible.
6. Sanjay Dutt Hair Transplant
Sanjay Dutt, a Bollywood actor known for his rugged looks and acting skills, has been in the spotlight for his hair loss and baldness.
His fans were surprised when he appeared in public with a fuller head of hair, sparking rumors that he had undergone a hair transplant procedure.
Sanjay Dutt, like many other men, suffered from hereditary male pattern baldness and decided to undergo hair transplant surgery in the United States.
Cost of Hair Transplant in India
The cost of hair transplant surgery in India can vary depending on several factors, including the number of grafts required, the technique used, and the reputation of the clinic.
On average, the cost of hair transplant surgery in India ranges from INR 30,000 to INR 1,00,000 per session.
This makes it a more affordable option than in many other countries, such as the US, where the cost can be several times higher.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Who is the best candidate for a hair transplant?
The best candidate for a hair transplant is someone who has experienced significant hair loss or thinning and has enough donor hair to be used for transplantation.
Good candidates have healthy hair growth in the donor area, which is typically the back or sides of the head.
They should also be in good overall health and have realistic expectations for the outcome of the procedure.
Is hair transplant a painful procedure?
Hair transplant surgery is typically performed under local anesthesia, which means that the patient will not feel any pain during the procedure.
However, patients may experience some discomfort or mild pain during the recovery period, which can last several days to a week.
Will the transplanted hair look natural?
Yes, the transplanted hair can look very natural if the procedure is done correctly.
Skilled hair transplant surgeons use techniques to carefully select and place the hair follicles in a way that mimics the natural growth pattern of hair.
Final Thought:
Hair transplant is a popular cosmetic surgical procedure among Indian celebrities who want to maintain their youthful looks and have a fuller head of hair.
While the procedure has many benefits, it also carries potential risks and complications.
You can consult an expert at New Roots Hair Clinic if you have any doubts about the hair transplant procedure.
Our professionals will not only help guide you through the process but also explain the different hair transplant techniques. So get in touch with us right now!

Ok I’m dropping my haircare routine because I’ve finally unlocked the secrets
Wash hair 3 times a week, and oil it on the days between. When you oil it, use indian amla oil - it’s cheap as hell, smells great and is literally 🤌🏻 the formula 🤌🏻 to silky and glossy hair. Put it in your hair at night, cover with a silk scarf/bonnet and let that shit marinate.
When you wash it out on a wash day, use bedhead resurrection shampoo and shampoo it TWICE under lukewarm water. Do NOT shampoo the ends of your hair. Just the roots.
Instead of conditioner, I use the pantene keratin reconstruction mask - squeeze the water out of your hair and shove the mask on the ends. Again: let that shit marinate for 5 mins.
Wash it out under water as cold as you can handle. When you’re done, your hair should feel like wet seaweed.
Squeeze the water out. Do not rub your hair with a towel unless you actually want breakage and DONT BRUSH YOUR HAIR WHEN IT IS WET!!!!
Either let your hair dry naturally or if you absolutely have to use a hair dryer, use it on the cold setting. Avoid heat-styling your hair as much as possible.
You can use a single pump of anti-frizz stuff before drying if you also have frizzy hair like me - I use the frizz-ease silk serum by John Frieda when I have to blow dry it.
Once dry, apply a small amount of argan oil to the lengths of your hair.
The key is to oil regularly, and to stay away from heat, whether that’s hot air or hot water because it will strip the natural oils from your hair.
Finally, I only brush my hair with either a comb or a natural bristle brush. Brush from the ends upwards, don’t start at the top or you’ll rip your hair out and create more knots.
Do this for a week or two and thank me later when your hair shines like glass. 💅
The best thing about this is that it’s cheap as shit. No fancy stuff. You can get silk bonnets / scarves / pillowcases from ebay for less than a tenner. All in all, my haircare routine costs less than £30. You’ll save a lot of money, especially if you cut your hair yourself or get someone you trust to do it for you - I literally just cut it straight across at the back every month to get rid of any dead ends.

Going back to our roots- the haircare edition
Part-1: Haircare- Love in Oiling
Haircare through oiling transcends generations, embodying a profound expression of love and connection in our culture. It's a shared journey of tenderness, a story every desi knows, of bonding with our mothers and grandmothers. I recall how my mother would lovingly oil my hair, a ritual that strengthened our connection. My hair suffered when I stopped allowing her to care for it, emphasizing that oiling hair is more than just a routine – it's an intimate experience. Beyond mere beauty, hair-oiling serves as a cherished heritage, a bond passed lovingly from one generation to the next.
THE THREE DOSHAS
Ayurveda posits the existence of three fundamental life energies, known as doshas, within every individual:
Vatta
Pitta
Kapha
An excess of any of these doshas can disrupt the body's equilibrium, and its impact is particularly noticeable in its effect on our hair.
In Ayurvedic philosophy, the scalp is perceived as having numerous energy-balancing centres known as "marmas." Hair oiling is considered a rejuvenating practice, as it assists in eliminating any surplus doshas that tend to accumulate in the head.
AYURVEDIC HAIR-TYPE
Healthy Vata-Type Hair is relatively thin, but often a bit coarse, may be straight, curly, or a combination of the two, grows quickly, and can be a bit unruly—potentially making it more challenging to style.
Healthy Pitta-Type Hair is straight, soft, predictable, and of moderate thickness, but very fine.
Healthy Kapha-Type Hair is typically wavy, lustrous, full, strong, coarse, and thick.
Common Imbalances
VATA- DOMINANT HAIR
Characteristics: The imbalance in vata dosha causes excessive dryness, flaky dandruff, frizzy and brittle hair. It may also cause hair thinning and split ends.
Care: It is recommended that you oil your hair two-three times a week with almond oil, cocunut oil or sesame oil infused with hair strengthening herbs like bhringraj, liquorice, shatavari, ashwagandha. Avoid harsh chemicals and heat styling to protect fragile Vata hair. Natural hair masks with honey, yogurt, or henna can further strengthen and improve its texture and shine.
Dietary additions: Vata is a cold and dry dosha, therefore, warming, grounding, and nourishing foods like nuts and seeds, with moderately heavy texture, with healthy fats (like Omega 3 fatty acids) are advised. Choose salty, sour, and sweet tastes as well as soothing and satisfying foods.
PITA DOMINANT HAIR
Characteristics: The imbalance in pitta hair might lead to excess heat in the hair follicles, thinning or premature greying hair.
Care: Use coconut oil infused with cooling herbs like hibiscus, amla and kalonji seeds. Include weekly masking with ingredients that repair such as aloe vera and brahmi. Opt for natural, chemical-free hair care products.
Dietary additions: Those with predominant pitta should refrain from spicy and astringent foods, and look for foods that are alkaline, which cool and soothe the digestive fire.
KAPHA DOMINANT HAIR
Characteristics: An imbalance in the kapha dosha can result in excess oil secretion that blocks the follicles of your scalp, which leads to wet and sticky flakes.
Care: The Kapha hair care routine involves cleansing hair and scalp 2-3 times weekly with natural herbs like reetha, shikakai, and triphala powder. For purification, use neem oil. It is effective for dandruff in bi-weekly oil-and-wash sessions.
Dietary additions: Those with the kapha dosha should focus on warm, light, foods made with dry cooking methods like baking, broiling, grilling, sautéing, etc.
Choose organic, chemical-free, and 100% virgin oils, even if they cost use( 3-4 tablespoons). Honestly, I would say get your oils pressed from a local vendor. That's what I do. It's 100% virgin and doesn't cost much at all. Otherwise, you can get them online. If you guys want, I can attach some product links too.
