Anyways today I vced with @getbreaded and studied a little bit of intro to operating systems, then gave up on the chapter because it was just too frickin annoying XD but I did get something done!

Also got in 1.7k steps. It's not much compared to my usual 3k but I will get into the routine soon enough!

She was able to sleep in a much better bed for the first time, waking up refreshed and ready to take on the whole save file.

Before heading off to work, she even managed to give herself a little pep talk in the mirror.

A man who's needy for attention, what's new? He graduated from highchool an year ago and decided to take an year gap to check in with himself as he wasn't really sure about what he wanted to study. Fate did its job and now he's a newcomer star, spends his days looking for content to post on social bunny, modelling, acting, whatever, he just wants to entertain and be on the spotlight. After talking with his family who had been very supportive of his decisions he finally decided to enroll in university and build a stable fundation for his future, his parents suffer from "titulitis" and so they need a diploma from him before leaving him alone, he's all in if it means they won't even nag him about it.

⤷ He is a people's person, so he's studying communications.

⤷Has two bestfriends with whom he spent most of his days but since they have jobs back home he's not going to see them which makes him want to message them everyday, he's a needy man.

⤷He's self-absorbed, has a really high self-esteeme, he considers himself a natural born leader and he secretly watches SimTube videos about dark psychology so he is pretty good at manipulating people.

⤷He's not mean in any way, he prefers having good relationships with everybody but he can be a little toxic as he considers himself his only priority and often forgets that other people have feelings and needs too.

⤷He's a techie, needs to use his phone pr laptop constantly but he keeps a lean body and is not lazy at all as its part of his job to look good for the camera.

⤷Speaking romantically his favourite type of relationships are the ones where he gets money from them. It wouldn't be his first time being a sugar baby. He even considered renting himself as a boyfriend but the campus is small and rumours spread like wildfire and he'll look too easy too fast.

thinking about narbarad and shams (as any normal person would) and i wanted to know what narbarad is famous for! are there any particular items or exports that travelers coming to narbarad would make sure to pick up? and what are shams' favorite things that come from narbarad itself - like a fruit only found there, perhaps? just curious ❤️ hope you're having a nice day inaya!

HIIIIII :D thank you for this ask <3 it means soooo much to me omg! i put them in little categories in the bullet points so!!!

firstly we have architecture: narbarad is one of the two nations in shams' world (not just craidesoa, but the world in general) that has a huge number of cultures. there are multiple districts where you can walk into a different set of cultures that you won't find in another, but one of the most distinct things travelers look into is the architecture of each district. because narabarad is mostly known for it's main district and the capital, however, many people tend to go there first. one of the main locations they often go to is the old capital before shams' father became king. there you can find monumental staircases, columns and reliefs that tell the stories of old heroes. it's one of the most famous attractions.

there are also the gardens, which are designed to represent the heavens. each garden in each district is different depending on the main religions and what they practice, but the way they style the gardens is often a reflection of their belief system. other than that, the bridges are not only functional but very artistic and of course, windcatchers, which helped them cool their buildings due to the insanely hot weather.

next is the art: just like i said before, because of the different cultures, narbaradi art is very diverse, but some of the main ones are miniature paintings that depict scenes from literature, myths or court life, calligraphy, tilework and sculptures. the first three are the ones a lot of travelers enjoy spending money on. there is also a lot of famous literature that comes from there. from poetry to full on literary writings, there's loads that can be chosen from.

the cuisine: the dishes in narbarad are quite diverse as well, but there is a common ground where people will go 'oh yeah! i see the similarities between those two' and because of that, there are often a lot of markets and stalls that sell those dishes, so plenty of travelers spend their time there. their food is usually made up of two to three sets of dishes and usually it focuses on the meat and vegetables, with either rice or bread on the side. or both! they're also very famous for their tea and it's a running joke that they can have tea at any time of the day.

textiles and fabrics: there's a handwoven fabric that can be only found in narbarad that's made from silk and wool that features floral patterns and is mostly used for scarves, tablecloths and garments! you can also find flat - woven textiles made by specific tribes, featuring different patterns and colors depending on said tribe. those are used as rugs, blankets or wall hangings. a lot of mythology and tales are often found printed and drawn on them. the silk there is also one of a kind and next to zaetia, it's one of the best.

jewelry and metalwork: the designs for jewelry always include motifs like the sun, moon and animals, focusing on cultural and spiritual significance. turquoise is used quite often and it features filigree, engraving and enamelwork made out of gold or silver. metalwork is very famous, as well, since they specialize in engraving, utensil making and armory!

lastly, perfumes and incenses: they're very well known because of their natural ingredients and some of those are rose water, musk, amber, sandalwood, etc. they're used for ceremonies where incense is often burned, personal fragrance and aromatherapy because they tend to be very calming.

shams' favorite is the art / literature and the gardens however! she's a big fan of cooking because of the multiple ingredients in narbarad, but she always does that in her free time so it's more usual for her and because she has made it a habit to include as many people as possible in a more informal dining experience. but she does greatly enjoy literature and reading and the gardens because of how different they are in each city. she has the royal garden, obviously, but that is more for public eye than anything. she finds the others to be much prettier!

had a meeting today with the makati people at masasabi ko lang na mas masaya talaga ako sa work life ko if sa makati ako idineploy. hahahahuhu. saya dun kasi mas okay mga tao saka di mo mafifeel na may age gap/generational gap kasi very kahumor ko rin sila. pero ok, siguro, tapos na ako (for now) magmukmok na wala pa rin akong work/office friends kasi kahit papano busy na ako ulit saka di na masyado naglileave yung senior ko. hahahaha. damang-dama ko kasi talaga nung three days consecutive sya na naka-leave kasi wala akong kasabay mag-lunch, tas kahapon inaya nya ako mag-lunch out sa jollibee para chikahin ako tungkol sa aming personal lives. saka nadiscover na rin nung ka-table ko na carat ako kaya medyo chinichika nya na ako, tas bibigyan nya daw ako ng something from the con hahahaha kaso sad rin kasi magreresign na sya. edi wala na naman. hayerp. sana wag magresign yung friend(??) ko from marketing kahit tinatapik nya lang ako at hinihila para chikahin from time to time ahahahaha. lalungz. abangan nyo na lang sa thursday, baka malungkot uli ako kasi naka-wfh senior ko. hahahaha.

this ended up being (because each alec would be different) this eldritch delight au because i couldn't pick and when I can't pick i ask @saeths and they mental roulette for me.

Alec is just finishing up when his door opens and Mirai’s voice comes through with a “sir, your video call with the clave has been postponed for another two months. Apparently, the Inquisitor wasn’t expecting your latest accessory and the reason why the meeting ended was she accidentally overreacted and stabbed her tablet.”

Alec snorts because he can’t help it and Mirai makes an agreeing term that immediately turns into a, “by the angel. Commander, what in Raziel’s name are you doing?”

Alec pauses from where he’s about to tap the very last of the marks he needs to complete the design he’s painstakingly stabbed into his chest.

“A present for Magnus—” he explains as he carefully pours out another small dose of phoenix ash and then carefully adds five drops of Magnus’ blood and a thick, dark tar-like substance. It’s the corrupted essence of Magnus’ most heretical magic and Alec carefully grinds the ingredients together. He’s been at it for hours now, forgoing sleep to get his project done.

“Don’t touch it.” He orders, because Mirai looks ready to dash across the room in some misguided attempt at protecting him and is something she hasn’t done since her second month under Alec’s command.

“Sir, why?”

“I think he’ll like it.”

Mirai wants to stab herself so that she doesn’t have to deal with watching her commander tattoo himself with a vile concoction that has the hair on the back of her neck rising and her spine curdling. It’s with a deep wish for some kind of sanity that she retreats. Shadowhunter tea is more potent than mundane coffee, especially the kind grown in the ‘safe’ greenhouses. Mirai doesn’t normally indulge, it’s a terrible habit to find yourself half asleep and chugging down an entire pot of tea after a hunt, but she does now.

It takes four mugs before she feels like she’s not about to run back and try to unnecessarily save her Commander. Instead, Mirai plans on how to get herself and the rest of an Institute a break. It’s been two weeks of Alec’s latest accessory and Mirai is running out of excuses for why so many of their younger hunters are running into walls. Alec just doesn’t understand how terrifying and wrong the animals from Lake Lynn are. They aren’t corrupt, it’s almost worse than that and their commander wears one as if it’s a mundane hair clip.

So Mirai tries not to panic, cuts Inaya out of the process and goes straight to Andrew because at the moment, he’s Alec’s favorite.

“Stop breaking yourself when you break other people.” Mirai mutters, rolling her eyes and grabbing Andrew’s shirt. She pulls the backup, ignoring his startled, half-asleep squawk and iratze’s his back and then activates his speed runes and a few others before she slaps the shirt back over them for good measure. Andrew hisses and sends her a hateful glare that withers into panic when she smirks.

“Oh no, what is going on now. What do we need to do, do I need to hide? I’m off Commander duty for two days. Why does it feel like you activated half of my battle runes?”

“We are getting ourselves a vacation, by getting the Commander to take one.” Mirai says with a dark gleam to her voice that she doesn’t bother trying to hide.

“You hate vacations.” Andrew says, suspicious and eyes squinting up at her from where the light is undoubtedly blinding him. “You said it’s a crime to unleash Alec on the rest of the world and it’s our sacred duty to protect everyone else from him. And you want him to take another one? After the Bermuda Triangle Weekend?”

Mirai said every single word of that, and she doesn’t mind admitting she’s changed her mind.

“We’re not unleashing him onto the unsuspecting public or causing Alicante’s paranoia to build. We’re sending him to Bane, because Bane will contain him if only so that he doesn’t have to share him.”

Andrew seems to consider that for a minute and then nods, “okay and how are we getting Bane over here again? Last time it worked because the Commander was planning a surprise. Which, between the engagement and the snakes, Alec’s going to stop telling you things so you can’t ruin them for him.”

Mirai rolls her eyes because that would require their Commander to be upset that his plans are upstages, instead of simply delighted that he doesn’t have to spend as much time without seeing Bane.

“I’ll deal with that. In the meantime, we do have a reason. I just need you to clear the halls because Bane’s going to come in hot.”

Andrew pales and runs, socked feet slipping as he decides the protection of shoes aren’t worth the time it will take to pull them on. His speed rune

Mirai wonders when her Commander’s strange penchant for courting death influenced her so greatly and then she picks up her stele and sends a simple fire message.

Magnus doesn’t remember the time between getting the message and portaling to the Institute.

The moment he read the words that meant Alexander could possibly be injured in a way that Magnus didn’t create, Magnus felt his world crashing down around him.

How dare something exist that can harm his beloved that isn't Magnus.

It’s a tragedy Magnus is unwilling to suffer because Alexander deserves to be poisoned and bitten and coaxed to tremors by only Magnus’ hands and magic.

Not by whatever inferior existence has harmed his lovely boy.

The halls are empty, which Magnus only notices because there is a lack of charred flesh as he passes through them, and the rot and decay of bodies doesn’t hinder his way. Alexander is a dark presence, cold like the bottom of an icy mountain lake and Magnus’ fire demolishes the door parting them.

Alexander looks up with delighted surprise and Magnus has to deprive his darling of a welcoming kiss, too concerned.

Magic twines around Alexander, binding him tightly as Magnus strips him and lets his magic sear through Alexander’s body as it checks him over.

The thin, delicate lines that form a familiar cluster of flowers on Alexander’s skin cause Magnus’ knees to wobble and he lets himself crash down.  Alexander follows him and Magnus reaches out and pets over the tattoo freshly inked into his boy’s skin. The familiar bite of Magnus’ own magic stings his fingers as it greedily tries to protect Alexander from all outside touch.

“Mine—” Magnus reminds it, asserting his dominance over the portion of his magic now greedily attached to Alexander. The bouquet on Alexander’s chest is a perfect replica of the one he first brought Magnus, down to a particularly petulant lily.  It’s ravenous maw is open, as if it’s about to take a bite of Alexander’s heart and Magnus leans forward and presses his own s. p teeth to the delicate skin and nips it.

The magic thrums in pleased, ravenous delight and Alexander hums contentedly in Magnus’ arms, “you can call my heart back to you now.” Alexander tells him, like the permanent representation of his fervor wasn’t enough. Like he isn’t giving Magnus the lightning strings of his life with a kiss and a smile and Magnus has to create a portal and pull him through.

“Three days—” Magnus demands, “minimum! I won’t be able to spare you a minute sooner, my darling.”

Alexander laughs, delight in his voice and he presses close, and Magnus hungrily places one hand over the tattoo and holds his boy close with the other.

“I’ll send a message.”

"I noticed," Paige laughed.

"We should do something special," he suggested. "You wanna go on a date with me? I bet we could earn gold just by standing here and spamming interactions."

"You think so?" Paige raised an eyebrow.

"You doubt my abilities?" he asked.

"Not at all, let's do it!" Paige grinned cheerfully.

I've been enjoying playing my maxis uberhood recently. I made quite a few premades into townies or just am choosing not to play some households except to age sims up manually every now and then, as it's overwhelming enough as it is! It's maybe 36 households currently I think, so it's taken ages to play 11 days each!

The lycanthropes usual swagger when visiting Inaya's establishment was no where to be seen today. The place that Charlie usually went to unwind after a long day now became the place he needed to bring work to. The office at The Reclaimed Relic was at a standstill on a case that effected them all. Someone was killing off their kind indiscriminately, Elizabeth and Mai had used their abilities to their best but they were still at a dead end.

Whoever it was had to be one of them, not a hunter as it used to be. What he would give for the good old days when it was as simple as a hunter in their midst. A mundane meddling in things that they had no business being in.

Taking his usual spot Charlie waited for the owner to make herself known. When she did, she was a vision as always. Looking over at her, he gave her a small sad smile. "I wish I could say it was on better terms that I come here but before I burden you with my mess, can I say, you look stunning as always."

Had he more time on his hands, had he perhaps been burden with something else, he would woo Inaya the proper way a beautiful creature like herself needed to be wooed. But here he was. "I actually needed information. Any you could spare that you might have heard floating about, have hit a bit of a dry spell."
