How can students enhance their communication skills effectively?
We all want our child to develop, express, create strong bonds, and be confident, and the best way for it is to communicate. In this article let’s walkthrough the effective ways on how students can enhance their communication.
Communication is the key to success and for those students in school, the skill unlocks the doors to a plethora of opportunities. In the era of constant connectivity, communication aids in the process. Communication is not limited to verbal exchanges but also involves active listening, expressions, creativity, and the ability to express. As we step on the path of enhancing communication skills, let’s check out how students can be nurtured to become confident and articulate communicators.
Interactive Learning Environment
An interactive learning environment fosters a culture of open communication. Classes should not be limited to theoretical teaching and should include discussions, debates, and collaborative projects. The interactive classroom sessions bring engaging conversations that aid students express their thoughts, asking questions, and thinking creatively.
Public Speaking Programs
The hesitation to communicate also results in a lack of public speaking skills. The school should organize regular events for co-curricular activities, including debates, storytelling, elocution competitions, and public speaking sessions.
Creative Writing Workshops
Communication isn’t limited to speaking, it’s also about expressing thoughts and creativity. The school should recognize the importance of creative writing in developing effective communicators.
Debating Societies and Clubs
To truly master the art of communication, students need platforms to engage in intellectual discussions and debates. SAGE International School promotes the formation of debating societies and clubs where students can actively participate in discussions on various topics.

I think a lot of discourse boils down to the idea that there's One Right Answer for everything. But the world, and individual people, are far too complex for that.
For example, a very common pattern of conflict I see is this-
"[blank] was very harmful to me, and set me back a lot." "But [blank] was what finally helped me understand and work through everything."
And instead of approaching the subject with curiosity and compassion, it becomes a fight over which is "correct".
A much more helpful conversation is, "How can we provide fuller information to help people figure out what's best for them?"
#discourse#healthy discourse#interpersonal skills#syscourse#actuallydissociative#applies to a million different things but that's what got me thinking about it today & is the easiest to tag#which is to say that anyone can rb regardless of if they're involved with that one specific thing#i really hope we all start moving towards open discussions and sharing. been thinking a lot about how harmful online discourse#tends to be and how to improve community awareness and move towards more constructive methods of communication#i understand where it comes from and i was in the thick of it as a teenager but i've since grown and have gotten a lot of perspective

So much progress for Phum and Fang in We Are, episode 11:
The two brothers made so much progress this episode. It was really great to see them embrace more their feelings and trying to get closer to the one they love.
If we start with Phum, he took upon himself to really try to understand Peem and be there when he needed. It is not easy because, we saw, before how he could end up saying the wrong things or hurting Peem because he didn't know how to talk to him. Deep down, Phum wanted to be the one Peem can count on. In this episode, he finally admitted to him.
He tried to ask him questions and understand his problem because he knows how it is to just keep everything for himself and not being able to communicate.
Phum and Peem both are people who need physical touch to feel safe. So Phum gave it to Peem several times during this episode. He offered a place where Peem can relax and forget about his worries.
Of course, the best thing he did in this episode was to finally admit his feelings and said it directly.
This is such a big progress for Phum if we compare him now with how he behaves at the beginning of the series!
Phum isn't the only one who made a lot of progress in this episode. We can also say that Fang did a lot more in this episode. It's not easy to be the reliable brother and to do well. Fang puts himself under so much pression. He is not used to be vulnerable even to his loved ones. In this episode, however, he finally admitted his fear of being "too much".
Lucky for him, Tan clearly understands his boyfriend well, because he reassures him and in this way offered him the possibility to be more vulnerable with him, without fearing to be judge.
We can see how Fang is being put at ease by Tan. He is smiling more. He also started to call Tan, "babe". I believe it's only possible because he feels more confident.
This episode really showed us more how a healthy relationship can make you be more proactive and ignoring your insecurities.
Fang may know just one dish but the way Tan react to it with such passion and love, makes him proud and more confident. Tan provides Fang with trust, communication, and an overall relationship satisfaction.
That's why we could see them share such intimate moments. I have to admit now how they make so much sense together. I also appreciate how the series conveyed it.

Thinking about my old pkmn ask blog
#I’m not really active in the community anymore but more because I grew away from it#I think about coming back a lot but Im not really sure what id do lol. I mean I think my storytelling and writing#skills have somewhat improved. but i still really really suck at making endings#although maybe I could make it like something that resolves the main problem and then just open for any interactions..#….fuck. I’m actually considering it now. I love impulsiveness 🧍#ugh but the other problem was that I would slowly stop updating as the dopamine slowed down and then just abandoned it altogether#multiple times in fact. since I’m the one making the content and not consuming it eeeuuhhgggghuhuhhhhhhh#this lil guy was supposed to have a story around his estranged family and his own problem with identity. I think I could still pick it up#i suck at writing edgy aloof dialogue so it always felt a little stilted or off when I wrote his dialogue. but I love him#myart#my art#oc#pokemon ask blog#pokeask#moss eevee#pokemon

Any idea to know what to do and say in terms of conflict?
Depersonalize others' comments & actions
Perceive the person's intentions – are they seeking war or peace?
If their intentions are sound, enter the conversation with the mindset of two individuals vs. a problem – decouple their humanity, emotions, wants, and needs from external factors & situations
Seek to understand, not win through your conversation
Approach the conversation from a solutions-oriented POV
Remember that compromise means both parties walk away happy or at least content with the outcome – self-sacrifice has no place in conflict resolution or negotiation
Hope this helps xx
