A Breakdown of my New Impldoll 1/4 Plump Body (with a MNF Alicia head)

So I've had this body since April, as I ordered right at the release of the Impldoll 1/4 Plump body in real skin back in January/February 2024 to make use of the event to get extra hands and feet. I also got the Susu head, but I split it off with @poupeesdecirque (who made an amazing modded hybrid out of it) as I didn't need it.

I had intended at first to hybrid my DiM Gayane on the body, but then I realized that despite all the annoyance I had with her default body, I didn't see her as super curvy... So I decided to put my Fairyland MNF Alicia on it.

Here she is once I got her a dress. There is nothing slim about this body, so don't even bother getting her slim mini clothes, they will not fit. The dress is intended for Iplehouse JID girls with the glamour bust (my girl has the large bust), but I do think she can share shoes with MNFs from what I've noticed, as mine is wearing her old MNF sized shoes easily.

Let's take a brief look at the body upon opening it. Look, no flat butt!! I gotta say, the level of detail on this body is insane. Like the detailing along the areola and the finger knuckles are beautifully done.

The one thing I am a little confused on is that her groin lacks all definition. It's just an odd choice with such a body, as she has even defined knuckles on her toes, but they haven't put anything there for girl dolls since the SGB Star Body, that one didn't have any crotch detailing.

Oh well, not much I can do about that other than mod it myself. But since my girl doesn't go commando, I don't care enough to add the detailing myself.

Now let's compare the Fairyland MNF A-Line girl body to the Impldoll 1/4 plump body. The Impldoll body is a good bit taller and thicker!

I took off the S-Hook and put a 3D Printed neck key on it as the neck would be way too short with just a washer. MNFs have really thick necks on top, so there is gapping, but it's no noticeable one the wig is on. Let's get a good turnaround view:

In the side and back view the gapping his more noticeable, but she stands solid. I did wire her arms legs as she liked to kick herself, but now she is great.

Impldoll even sent her with some coated wire to install as the owner. I used aluminum wire from my own stock as the Impldoll one was a titch too weak and thin to hold up against the elastic.

She sits easily on her legs, and can easily sit with her knees raised to her chest. The engineering is really nice on this aesthetic body, and Impldoll provides a lot of colors to choose from.

But do keep in mind any non "standard" colors (color matching and darker resins) there will be a good several month delay in getting your order. They mentioned this on their Instagram recently as people got worried about waiting 6+ months for dolls that others received within 3 or less months (I ordered a standard color, so it was fast).

I'll end the post with a small resin comparison. I have many other normal skins I can compare, to Impldoll real skin, such as DV normal pink and normal (yellow toned), 2D Doll normal yellow, DFA normal pink, TD Doll normal pink, etc... so just let me know if you want a resin comparison and I will do so.

her story btw is that i bought her head several years ago from somebody on insta bcuz it was £30 and i thought it was cute. i’d like never considered her sculpt before (impldoll delia) but it was like soooo cute in dark resin. and then i saw somebody else with one that i thought was so badass so i BOUGHT it and um. well had no body for her. and then i got a bunch of faceups commissioned and sent her as well and when she came back she was my favourite by far cuz she’s soooooo stunning but she still didn’t have a body so she went back into her box. and THEN finally i bought her a body in the same resin and now she lives on my shelf :3 yay!

Holy fuck finally after 3 months and what felt like forever: impldoll Elise on the plump body is home!!

I really love her profile! And she came with heel and ballet feet plus different hands. Pretty good for under $200usd

I got in my white Logan dolls Ugh head while on my trip. It sadly doesn't match the cream white of the impldoll plump body I want to hybrid it with but I think it's close enough. Next step is dying her yellow!

Looks good as is, going to do some minor edits to the inside of the head.

I am waiting on an Impldoll body for this sculpt, and I really can't do much with it until that arrives. I'll use this test one for practicing faceups and stuff.

It seems we had to play musical bodies. The heads originally meant for the Impldoll body were not suitable size wise. For reference these were an Angel of Dream Mu Yanzi, and a Distant Memory Laeoh. The Laeoh maybe could have worked but I just didn’t like the way it looked. So, Enya took over Impl while Evie got the DF-H. The shoulders of Impl are throwing me off tho, might need time to get used to them.

It has, so far, impressed me with how solid and stable it is. I did have to break the hold that the glue had one most of the joints. I don’t know if the body passed through a heatwave or Impl sent her out too soon after sueding.

Overall I’m okay with it. But I honestly won’t get another.

i'm not done with her by any means, but i wanted to see her all together

not sure how i feel about the eyes, they're a little gappy. i might just go with dark brown eyes, but we'll see. i'm at about 75% with her faceup, i'll continue when the mood strikes and the weather doesn't suck.

My 2D Doll 68cm girl body arrived recently, and it's a great and heavy body. The resin on the surface almost feels soft it's so nice, and the sculpting is beautiful too.

I got the large bust for my girl, and it really is "large". Like they broke the company box with how mighty they are! I'm honestly amazed I managed to get pants on her thunder thighs at all. It was a fierce battle between unforgiving firm resin and me pulling stretched to oblivion fabric pants over her thighs and butt. I won in the end though, but I hope I can get them off her again in the future...

Sadly this body does not suit the head (Impldoll Azalea) I got it for, as its jaw is much too slim for the thick neck (despite being made for a 10cm neck...). I tried repainting her (she needed to be color matched) but the proportions still bother me.

It's sad really because I love how this faceup turned out! It's almost sad I'm gonna sell the head as it means I will wipe the faceup (it is character specific). Oh well, I will enjoy this faceup until I purchase a new head in the coming months.

She looks so cool, but I just can't get used to the wonk proportions...

Anyway, in my quest for head sizes, I decided to try two hybrid ideas. Let's put those under a cut. The second set has upper body nudes.

1st:

I put my Simply Divine Thomas head on the body, which has the right neck measurements, and actually looks quite nice. This head is already claimed though, and Val would not appreciate switching sexes like this. He's very much a cis-man, but he does look good on this body too.

And 2nd:

I tried an Iplehouse EID Camilla head on the body, and size wise it is excellent. There is some major gapping from the side though, as Iplehouse bodies have massive necks that balloon at the top. That can be easily hidden though with camera angles and wigs.

If I ever feel like updating Queen Ursa's body (my Iplehouse Camilla on an nSID body in peach gold) this would be a good contender since it fits so nicely. I would get her a smaller bust size though, like medium.

Overall, I am happy with this body and it's posing, I'm just a little sad about the head not looking right on it. Oh well, I guess it is time to reshell Kaya too...

My Impldoll Azalea Elf in real skin got a new body and therefor she got a new faceup with a color match to 2D Doll normal yellow.

I love the new body, and the new faceup, but sadly the head is simply too small to fit on the 2D68 girl body, so I am saving up to buy a new androgynous and larger head for the body and reshell the character fully... The new faceup was a last ditch effort to try and bond with the hybrid configuration, but not even with photo angle tricks can I make it look good.

Quick comparison of her previous and current faceup. I am gonna be sad to wipe it again when I list it for sale. At least it is nice to see my improvement in the last several years!

I will wipe it and offer it for sale with a 50% off faceup of choice.

Well the Dream Valley resin either is just like That, or it hates me specifically (leaning towards the latter because most dye projects on DV i've seen have turned out beautifully). Dyeing attempt # 2 did not go any better than the first one, sadly :/

You can see the unevenness on the forehead and the neck pretty well in these pics. It's much more obvious in person (I didn't bother redyeing the headcap, but you can see the spots where the dye just didn't take at all too. I'm assuming there's some kind of glue from the magnets and/or the emblem).

You can also see where something was going on with the headcap and the head both where the magnet is that specifically affected how the dye there took. I wonder if maybe that has to do with why the forehead had issues, but that wouldn't explain the cheeks or back of the neck.

So I guess i need to figure out how the airbrush i have works so i can go that route instead :/ I guess it's a good thing Impldoll's muscle girl body isn't out until who knows when given how dyeing how gone. I'm just going to airbrush it one color, cross my fingers I don't fuck it up doing a faceup, and will request a custom body from Resinsoul in the right color.

My poor girl :( World's tiniest plus- the color does match the mock up i was doing, more or less.

Ok. So. Talked about shelling my OCs in doll form and after discussing with my best friend (who's one of the few people who still knows these characters from when they were made), we put together a plan.

So... Plans.

Kita was easy. He'll be the new shell for my Logan.Dolls Claudia. I adora that sculpt, but the character I made for him kinda never really fit, so it is perfect. He's on the MDF slender body, which isn't ideal (Kita should have more muscles), but it's not too bad either.

Chiriko was also quite easy once I thought about it. My bestie immediately thought of Souldoll Janne from my collection, so I guess, it is another perfect fit, especially since I was gonna sell her anyway. She's gonna go on the Asleep Eidolon body I originally bought for this head to begin with. Body is a bit boyish, but the head looks nice on it, so... for now this will do.

Tenriel will get the Minifee Sylvia together with the Luts body I dyed to match. It's another doll that I really like, but never really did anything with, so it's nice that he will get a new purpose.

Tari will go with Minifee Sircca, who was supposed to be Sylvia's brother, so there already is a resemblance which is perfect for Tenriel's sister. She will go on the Minifee Moe body I already have.

Mali will be the new shell for Josh 1.0, aka Minifee Iru. Will probably stay on the Minifee Motion line body, unless I decide to swap it for the Logan.Dolls boy body I have. (though I like the doll he's currently for, so... we will see)

Now. Now we're reaching the dolls that I don't have.

Yume. For her, I thought of using my Luts - DFH hybrid. She has a cute face and the DFH body looks a bit thicker in comparison to the others. But I felt like the head was a bit too young looking and since it is on the bigger side, would probably look a bit weird next to Chiriko.

Then I found Impldoll Carlee and her face is just... perfect. It's so gentle and exactly what I have in mind for her. As for the body, I ordered her on the plump body. Since her Clothes have a lot of layers, I hope that will make up for the slender waist. I love the hips for her, and from what I've heard, she's a great poser. And if everything else fails, I still have the DFH body.

Alayses will get the Souldoll body I have left over after selling my sleeping Karsh. It is dyed currently and I'll have to strip that colour off, and then hope the colour match won't be horrible lol, but I'm positive. The head will be Minifee Jiyu that is on order (Ordered it along with a friend so she can get the body), and I'll try to mod the teeth and hopefully will get a similarly cute look like Angel Toast did

And lastly, Leera. I made her more muscular with her latest redesign and I knew this would be a challenge. Like I said in another post, I found the Miracle Doll body and my bestie agreed that it would fit her. So... I decided to get that one. Possibly next month, as this month I'll have to pay for new glasses and it seems like a new oven is needed, too...

As for the head, a friend of me was selling their Xiaomian Alul head, and while I'm still not 100% sold on the tongue, my bestie and I agree that her overall vibe is pretty fitting, so... I hope it will work out.

This one is the doll that will need the most work, because I'm 100% sure I'll have to mod the neck of the body (as it is PRETTY wide), and I'll also have to find new hands that will fit her big wrists, because I don't really like the hands that come with it... Wish me all luck, okay?

I was swapping the feet out on my impldoll plump body and decided to try some poses and had to share.

She will eventually have a Logan.Dolls Ugh head. Then she will be dyed yellow and have bright pink blushing.

Haven't decided on the type of clothing to make her yet. Maybe I'll lean into the feet and make a ballerina inspired outfit?

Incomings update!

Iza just got her Impldoll Order in, including the head for my Lvl 4 Akuma Project.

And I got my shipping notice for the DollyZone/Gem of Doll Order which means the bodies for Maple AND Kanda(!!!) are finally on their way home.

... no movement for months and now 3 parts are shipped again. wow.

Through sheer luck (and some scrimping, irresponsibility, and Christmas money) I was able to start the process of bringing these three heads home. I am literally one head away from being content. Obviously the heads will need bodies but that’s fine. I’ve wanted Mu Yanzi for a long time but I just wanted the head. I was doom scrolling ParcelUP for bjds and saw her single head listed so I obviously was all over that like a circus mouse on a ball. Of course Supia was having their sale and I had 28 points saved so it covered shipping. She’ll be in brown resin and I want to put her on the new Impldoll body.

I don’t own many dolls that are NOT hybrids. Pretty much everyone is a hybrid aside from Amber and Abby.

ok I’m done rambling now. No one else in my house listens to me.
