Doodle concepts of what I’ve been seeing in my head world while trying to draw influence from old timey Portuguese architecture. I wanted to find a book on Brazilian-Portuguese architecture specifically, but my libraries only had one on Indo-Portuguese architecture instead called Palaces of Goa: Models and Types of Indo-Portuguese Civil Architecture, which was just as interesting, but hopefully I can find what I’m looking for elsewhere!

idk if this is a rude question to ask but how do you daydream? ive been wanting to get into immersive daydreaming but it just…hasn’t!! been working!! i have a very hyperactive mind and i do daydream but it just doesn’t feel,,real enough…? IDK!!! WAAAHHHH —🍇
sorry it took me a while to respond! i guess it's hard to answer, because my daydreaming came so naturally to me. most of my daydreaming is tied in with dissociation, so it is also hard to control.
this might be the most obvious and dumb advice, but try listening to music and thinking of your favorite scenes. listening to music is always the most immersive experience for me at least. try to really think about what scenarios you would love to see yourself/your characters in. it's about channeling whatever emotions your feeling at the moment in my experience. my feelings really control what happens in my daydreams lol.
i hope this is at least a little helpful lol.
anyone is free to reblog and add to this!

"Wow, you're so self-aware! It takes most people years of therapy and dedication to get to that point." Thanks, I constantly feel completely disconnected from my physical being and the material sensation of my body, brain, and spirit/soul is so overwhelming that I often have to see myself as an objective third-party instead of an integrated entity. Father son holy spirit and all that.

here's a little reminder that no one can read your mind or see your "weird" or "bad" thoughts and daydreams! mind readers are not real, and your inner world is entirely private. your thoughts and daydreams are not embarrassing or bad, and they do not define your morality!
everyone who keeps saying shit like "sounds like something a mind reader would say" or "mind readers are real actually" i will eat you to death and enjoy every minute of it. not the time or place

Maladaptive daydreaming is a behavior where a person spends an excessive amount of time daydreaming, often becoming immersed in their imagination.

Despite my overwhelming collection, I naturally couldn’t resist a houndstooth covered sketchbook, so I nabbed it and decided to fill it with inner world lore.
Star Bits Fields were first seen in a dream I’ve had in March 2024. These plants have a life cycle between growing on the surface and reproducing in nebula-like spore clouds in the sky. These glowing stars each contain a limited amount of energy that can be used like batteries to power tools, or be used as ingredients in foods or spells. Ints never trade fiat money, instead they trade resources and commonly trade star bits as commodity money, with their intrinsic value being used as fuel, food and ornamentation.
Int families who particularly value star bits share legends of star bit makers, who are cosmic flyers able to materialize star bits out of nothing, which would make any int rich if they could capture one. Yet star bit makers are a rare sight in the night sky, and even harder to catch.

maladaptive daydreamers of tumblr, do you also occasionally get stuck in daydream episodes where you just cant stop? no matter how hard you try. and it’s almost unwanted like, i just do it and i’m not even realizing i’m wasting a whole day daydreaming just trying to get back to reality and escape my head, but i physically cant. like the dissociation is so bad and you just kind of feel like you aren’t even living, the whole day goes by and you’re like huh

Ivin: So, in our main story we're going through, we need a name for the main para had our main para befriend someone that we needed to do something with, and he is helping her try to help her find someone to love. He suggested exploring like he was instead of staying in one place, so they both ran off to explore Seasonstruck.

• today I existed as a witch wandering the land just beyond the castle walls. The wind blew steadily cold as clouds cluttered the already grey sky. Bare tree branches rustled as the breeze flew by. My day would be well spent as long as my crow familiar, whom I called Sparrow, was by my side. Time marched on as did I through the overgrown fields and abandoned camps. Coming across abandoned camps meant a chance to gain some new belongings. Sadly, only common items were spotted today… rope, cooking pans and pottery vessels. As the evening crept closer I found my way back to Sparrow and I’s home. The old rounded wooden door creaked as I pulled it open and sparrow flew through. Warmth filled the room as I lit the candle collection in the fireplace. All that’s left for me today is magical practices and sweet dreams.
