I got this idea from what Martyn said during his lore stream the other day and it cured me of my writers block, so I wrote this in a few hours after hearing it

It’s over Scar. She's dead.

Standing in the ravine, Scar stared blankly at the stone ahead of him as those ghostly words echoed in his mind.

It was over.

He’d won.

Despite everything, he’d won.

A breathy laugh escaped him. It didn't feel like a win. Nothing about this did. It felt hollow and empty, meaningless.

A win was supposed to be a grand show to the world that you can make it to the end, a final showing that it can be done despite everything. One last stand against the world. That's what a win was meant to be.

But this wasn't any of that, not when Scar was stuck frozen in place, the faint rhythmic sound of liquid dripping off the rocks somewhere behind him being the only thing he could hear once the blood rushing to his ears subsided. How was any of this meant to feel like a win, like the grand finale to something that had been the last few months of his life when it was the furthest thing from grand? When he felt the furthest thing from victorious? How was he even meant to feel victorious or grand in a situation like this? He'd spent the whole season alone just trying to make friends, only for him to win by shooting the closest person he has to one of those.

Alone…

He never liked being alone.

How did he win while he was alone?

How did the guy with no friends win?

He laughed to himself, bow still held in one hand, and using the other to push his hair back. A pained smile was painted across his face as he laughed, asking himself how? How did he win? How did he make it this far all alone? How did he manage to tell himself that just one more day, one more day and it would be worth it enough times to where he won? It didn't make sense. Not to him at least.

No matter how long he stood there wondering to himself, there was still one thing that was left to be done. Hit the button.

He had succeeded his task after all, right? Scar had won, despite how meaningless this victory truly was.

All he had to do was hit the button and it would all be over. It would finally end. He could go back to Hermitcraft, his home, his friends. He finally wouldn't be alone anymore.

It didn't quite feel like his own movements when he started to climb out of the ravine, disconnected from everything going on. He desperately ignored the hazy sight of a red shawl to the side of his vision, feeling sick if he put any thought into what he knew was laying under it.

He didn't feel nearly as sick passing by a similar black shawl on the ground up on the surface, orange hair catching his eye for a split second as he slowly made his way across the blood stained grass and battle worn landscape of the world. And, shortly after, he reached the statue that stood in the centre of it all.

The Secret Keeper.

The being that doomed him from the very start. Quietly, he wondered to himself, was it proud? Proud that it's favourite player to mess with - proud that the one it moulded into the unwilling villain - had won? Was it proud of everything it had done, all the pain and suffering it caused? Or did it even think at all. Maybe it was just a simple stone statue, designed to have no will or intention, to have the sole purpose of handing out tasks at random, and Scar was just losing it from being alone for so long. He’d likely never get an answer.

It didn't matter though. Not when he was about to leave, not when he was about to finally be free from this hell he was stuck in, not when he was going to finally be able to see his friends again.

Letting out a shaky breath, Scar reached down and pressed the button.

A faint click echoed around the area, and then nothing. Nothing happened. It was just silence. No gust of wind to whisk him away back home, no welcoming voices of the hermits congratulating him on his win as they fade into view. No anything. Just silence. Painfully loud silence. Nothing changed. He was still there. Alone.

“Uhm… haha real- real funny there guys,” Scar chuckled awkwardly, his voice filled with unease. Why was he still here? That should’ve worked. Staring up at the Secret Keeper, he waited for a moment to see if it would react at all.

Nothing.

With a level of anxiety he hadn’t felt before, the button was pressed again, and again nothing happened. The world continued to stand still around him.

The feeling of unease began to grow in Scar’s gut, mixing with fear and making him feel sick all over again. “Aha, ok now thats-” The button was pressed again. Nothing. “-that’s enough this isn’t-” Again. Nothing. “-this isn’t funny anymore- oh god no please.”

Scar’s chest tightened the more he pressed on the button, becoming more and more desperate every press. “No no please just- please just take me home please I can’t do this anymore please.”

Tears began to swell in his eyes, panic truly setting in as he pleaded for an escape. Why wasn’t it working- why wasn’t it doing anything?! Was it broken now that the game was over? Was that why he was stuck- why he couldn’t get this stupid button to work?!

Falling to his knees beside the button, his head hit against the corner of the pedestal it was on. Pain slashed across his forehead at the impact, and he could feel the sickeningly familiar warmth of blood begin to well from the cut.

“PLEASE GOD JUST LET ME GO HOME!” he screamed, hitting the button again and again, his hand becoming sore and bruised the more time went on. The more he begged and pleaded and cried for whatever stupid entity was in control of this game to just let him go.

All he wanted was to go home, to see Jellie, to see his friends, to not be alone anymore. He’d been alone for too long, wasn’t that enough?

Loud cries and desperate pleas slowly turned into quiet sobs, and he brought his hand away from the button, resting them both on the edge of the pedestal beside his head.

“Please…” he sobbed, blood running down into his eyes and mixing with his tears. “Please just let me go.” a moment passed for him to catch his breath. Then, quietly: “I can’t do this anymore, please…”

His pleas went unheard. He was alone.

Alone…

a lot of people found it really helpful the last time i provided some context for LU Legend’s games (this post!!), so i’m gonna do that again!! this time specifically about A Link Between Worlds. if you have any questions, please feel free to send an ask, and i will answer to the best of my ability! please keep in mind that i am only speaking on the english translation <3

also, i will only refer to this game’s Link as Link instead of Legend. while i’m writing this primarily to help the Linked Universe fandom, these details are only from the canonical game and can be applied to any interpretation of this game’s Link. it is not exclusive to Linked Universe whatsoever!!!!!

anyhow, in this game, Link has a family: the blacksmiths. while never overtly stated, it is so heavily implied that assuming the author’s intent is a relatively safe course of action.

for those unaware, the Blacksmith family includes three people: the unnamed blacksmith, his unnamed wife, and their little boy Gulley. also, prior to the start of A Link Between Worlds, Link worked as an apprentice at the forge!!

the Blacksmith is pretty tough on Link throughout the beginning of the game, berating him for oversleeping and not working hard enough to become a proper Blacksmith. this seems relatively mean at first, but then it becomes clear that he really just wants the best for Link. he’s a very successful man who wants Link to be just as prosperous. later on, there’s a really nice moment between the two after Link rescues Gulley (who was kidnapped by the game’s main villain, Yuga) where the Blacksmith says “I’m real proud of how you’re shaping up here, Link.” it’s a brief, heartwarming exchange between the two, and it really highlights their relationship dynamic.

his wife, on the other hand, is much more overtly caring towards our hero. in the description of Link’s green tunic, it’s said that the wife is the one who sewed it for him. more than that, she’s also the one who made the adventure pouches for Link’s belt, telling him “I made it for you so you could carry more items…. But please—you should use that pouch so I won’t have to worry about YOU quite as much!” once he receives them. she’s a very kind and caring figure in his life, who often takes time out of her day just to help Link out and make sure he’s okay.

Gulley is arguably the closest to Link out of all of them. For starters, A Link Between Worlds opens with Gulley waking Link up from a prophetic dream and mentioning that Link oversleeps too much, meaning that (a) Gulley has the key to Link’s home, and (b) this happens often. Gulley was also said to have insisted on being the one to give Link the adventure pouches his mom made! the entire reason Link originally goes on his hero’s journey is to save the boy after he was kidnapped, and when Link passes out and ends up in the middle of the road in Lorule, he’s said to have been mumbling Gulley’s name over and over again (furthermore, it was the blacksmith family’s Lorulian counterparts that had found and saved Link when he passed out.)

i don’t think Link is genetically related to the blacksmiths, even though they do share similar hair and eye colors. if that were the case, they’d simply be labeled as Mom as Dad. my interpretation of it is that Link is unofficially adopted :)

tl;dr: the Link in A Link Between Worlds isn’t alone. he has a family that loves and cares for him deeply. and this post doesn’t even include the countless close friends he made in ALBW alone. please guys acknowledge them im begging you

Pro Heroes Mirko and Regulus (Touya Hero Au)

Summary: the average day for pro hero duo Mirko and Regulus (my hc hero name for Touya)

(A/n this duo is my brain baby and I’m so proud 😭😭😭 not a ship, just besties yk)

“Hey do ya see that guy over there?”

“Yeah I think he might be causing some trouble for that store”

Sarcasm was dripping in the air between the two pros, grinning ear to ear as they approached the chaotic storefront. Number two hero Regulus, real name Touya Todoroki, and number five hero Mirko, real name Rumi Usagiyama. Each would tell you they hated the others guts if you asked, but really, the two of them had a tight knit friendship, a trust yet to be severed even by the most brutal insults thrown between the two. 

“Hey there, dumbass” 

Regulus smirked, putting his hands on his hips smugly, a Cheshire Cat grin on his face as he stepped up to the man in question, who currently had the small store’s manager by the collar, and was yelling expletive after expletive. 

“The hell do you heroes want? Gonna arrest me?” The man yelled, clearly enraged for an unknown reason. “Maybe, kinda depends on you” Mirko retorted, crossing her arms.

“I’m here to see my girlfriend, asshole!” The man continued to yell at the manager as he tried to ignore the two heroes on his right and left. “She’s not interested in seeing you, you creep! And you’re not her boyfriend, either” one of the other workers shouted by the door where she stood protectively. “Harassing women? Tch” Regulus clicked his tongue, shaking his head with a smirk, as Mirko tapped her foot impatiently next to him

“Can I kick him?”

“Slow down Mirko, I wanna see where this goes”

The man growled at the heroes, shoving the Manager back against the counter with a thud and running past Regulus out the door. “Ugh, great now he’s running” Mirko growled “this is truly a tragedy” Regulus chuckled, shrugging “shut the fuck up” Mirko ran out past Regulus, who followed at a slow pace with his hands in his pockets, a lopsided smirk on his face. 

“Hey you damn bastard! You’re not getting away!” Mirko yelled, catching up to the angry man with ease. She stood in a strong stance in front of him, blocking his exit. The man growled in frustration, his eyes wide as he went to turn around and run back the other way. 

“Stupid idea”

The low voice of the flame hero came behind him, the man’s exit now blocked with an overwhelmingly hot wall of blue fire, which Regulus walked through with ease, his body smoking slightly from the heat. It was a terrifying sight. 

The man turned back around in fear, and was met with Mirkos strong kick to his jaw, immediately knocking him unconscious. 

“You’re under arrest for assault and battery” Mirko said with a grin, proud of her work as she looked down at the man at her feet. “He can’t hear ya, stupid.” “SHUT UP TOU- REGULUS” “don’t need to tell me twice.” They watched police take the man away, already getting tipped off about more trouble in an alleyway nearby, a robber leaving a broken into apartment. Mirko charged in, and once again, Regulus sauntered behind, standing in the entrance to the alley while Mirko beat up the criminal, bluntly cheering her on. 

“Crush his skull with those thighs of yours! Wait don’t he might be into that” “NOT WORK APPROPRIATE DIPSHIT” “IM JUST OFFERING SIMPLE SOLUTIONS”

Mountain spent days mentally planning how he was going to make the night perfect for you, so when the night came, and you were both sure it was happening… he spent every second focusing entirely on you. He is very observant and he pays very close attention to your body and the way you respond to him. Mountain will constantly ask you if you’re okay and if what he’s doing feels good. Of course for your first time he takes it easy, and focuses on getting you used to (not only him) but to lots of different sensations that come with having sex for the first time. All in all, it’s very very intimate with Mountain. Dewdrop is all guns blazing ready to run at whatever the hell the world throws at him at every waking minute since he was summoned… so when you told him you wanted him to be the ghoul you lose your virginity too he could barely keep himself calm. He pretty much drags you back to his room with the biggest smile on his face. Let it be known he has zero malicious intent here, this behaviour is pure excitement to experience this with you. He’s got about a million questions to ask, everything ranging from what you think you’re into to what’s on or off the table tonight. Dewdrop is eager, partly to feel good with you and partly to be the reason why you feel good. He can’t stop kissing you, you two haven’t even made it to the bedroom yet and he just can’t stop himself. He’s a real talker, he likes to tell you every little detail about how good he feels all because of you and how amazing you feel and how well you’re doing. He picks up on the way your eyes light up and your shoulders untense when he tells you this. His claws are all over you, pulling you closer to him and touching you everywhere. He reminds himself to chill out a little, and there will be more opportunities to switch things up a bit later. His eagerness to please you shines through quite a few times and he speeds up a little without realising, but he catches himself. Despite all this, he still keeps a close eye on you. Phantom could probably be considered a little bit less experienced too. Since being summoned not too long ago there’s a lot he’s still getting used to and things he’s yet to properly experience. Sex was one of them. Well… sex on the surface… and with a human. You two bonded over this, it came as a kind of comfort knowing there was someone else who just understood. Which ultimately turned into being the very person you both wanted to change that with. Phantom had a pretty good idea of what to do, you were the one that was going in with nothing to go off. The only thing with Phantom was… he wasn’t prepared for how good you were going to feel. It really threw him, and so as a result his mind went completely blank and all he knew was you. Just you. The way you looked underneath him, the way you felt around him, the way your hands held onto him and don’t even get him started on the way you sounded. And then just like that he was zoned in. So I’ve had this idea plaguing my brain for a while now, and if I have to listen to this fic idea, then so do you.

So I bet about a year or so after everything happens, and the Krew get Carnivale Lecroux back up and running, Gricko finds another owlbear, about the same age as Hootsie. He (the owlbear—for the sake of things, let’s call him Owlly) is scared, probably injured, and Gricko takes him in. It takes a while, but with the help of Hootsie, Owlly eventually becomes comfortable around Gricko, and later with the rest of the Krew (kinda like the scene with Juniper the owlbear)

A few months after finding Owlly, Gricko realizes that he and Hootsie have gotten close. Really close. At first Gricko thought they were forming a sibling-like bond, but then he saw certain signs from Hootsie indicating that it wasn’t necessarily the case. After all, Hootsie is a growing girl, and even if Gricko didn’t want to openly acknowledge it, deep down he knew she was about the age for most owlbears to start having cubs (actually I think Hootsie is older than that, but shhhhh)

So at first, Gricko goes into Overprotective Dad Mode. He bans Hootsie from the Petting Zoo/Menagerie (where Owlly resides), and disallows Owlly to roam the grounds during closing. Quickly though, he realizes this is just hurting both owlbears, and before the week is out, he lets Hootsie and Owlly interact again.

It’s not long after that—I’d say about a month or so—before Gricko finds a nest with an egg in his and Hootsie’s trailer, and he knows enough about beasts to know exactly who that nest belonged to, and who laid that egg.

For the next two weeks, nobody saw Gricko. They definitely heard him, though. If you neared his trailer, you would just hear his sobs and wails, occasionally yelling things like “BUT SHES SO YOUNG!!!” “IM GONNA BE A GRANDPA!!!” And such. He was sad, yes, but was more overjoyed at the idea of becoming a grandpa. The following week, he lets Frost into his trailer, showing off the egg, blabbering all the while.

Eventually the entire Krew gets to meet the egg. Kremy outwardly complains (“that’s just one more mouth to feed, Gricko!” “It’s not like I laid the egg, Kremy.”), but there’s no real venom behind it—he’s just as excited as everyone else about the addition to their family. Frost is fairly quiet at first, but then later tells Gricko how proud he is—both of Hootsie, and of how Gricko is handling the news. Torbek is so so so excited to see a newborn owlbear cub for the first time, and swears to love it and to be as gentle as he could be. Gideon shares a similar sentiment, being excited about having another niece/nephew, asking if Hootsie needed help keeping the egg warm, promising to be gentle, etc. Honestly, he seems to be more excited about the baby than Gricko does.

Anyway, the egg hatches, and the Carnivale is all abuzz. It happened right around lunchtime, and the moment it hatched, Kremy closed the Carnivale. “We’re having an emergency in the back,” he says “can’t be open for a few days.” The Krew all surround the baby owlbear, taking turns holding it. The newborn likes Gideon the most at first, because of his natural warmth, and Gideon starts sobbing, he’s so happy.

As the baby gets older, the Krew truly start spoiling it. Kremy gives it an extra helping of food (“he’s a growing boy! He needs it!”), Gideon and Torbek give it rides and play with it as gently as they could, and Frost periodically teaches subjects that an owlbear shouldn’t care about (“I know she can’t write, but it’s important for her to learn all the same”)

Nobody knows the gender of the baby, and because of this, it doesn’t really have a set name. Instead, everyone has been giving it their own nickname. Frost has been calling it The Child (“The Child is hungry” “have you seen The Child?”); Kremy and Gideon have been referring to it as the Littl’un (“the Littl’un bit me!” “Oh, the Littl’un just wants to play!” “Boy, I think the Littl’un’s stomach is about as bottomless as Gid’s.”); Torbek has just been calling it The Baby (“The Baby hooted at Torbek!” “Oh, The Baby peed on Torbek…”); and Gricko has been cycling through all three nicknames.

This ends up being the only child Hootsie has, which Gricko finds odd considering that she should be having many eggs every few years, since she now has a mate, but he doesn’t question it. It ends up being a blessing in disguise, all things considered. Any more, and they’d have fo start giving the babies away, and Gricko would rather die than have that happen.

He is a very clingy clown. He gets jealous very easily. And it even worsens his delusions if its someone he hates.

It happened once, okay sure. He kind of expected it. It happened twice, well thats a lesson, he'll watch out next time. But then it happened for the third time, Batman came to rescue you, for the third time, well now hes angry.

As Bats takes you into his hold, comforting you, telling you that you're safe now, he does not take his eyes off from you. It makes the clown boil with rage. "Hey hey, paws off or else!" He warns him but gets a punch in the face. He hears the police nearby and the last thing he sees is bats flying away with you. Rescuing. He rather call it stealing.

Who does he think he is, stealing his darling away? And on top of that you don't seem to have a problem with this. Dear, do you know how hard he worked to kidnap get you to his hideout with all the trouble?

He starts ranting, moving up and down. You just try not to be the subject of his anger.

"How dare he! Didn't i make myself clear last time?!" He then stops for a moment and his eyes lend on you.

You start shaking like a leaf. He comes towards you and sits besides you. He then begins to rant again. "I know! Im gonna make sure that he- no, the whole city knows that you belong to me!" He begins smiling and maniacally laughing to himself.

He'll do plenty of things. First he takes you with him to his smaller crimes, even plans it out in a way so that a reporter will be near by. He keeps you safe and close, hugging you to his side, giving you cheek kisses. He keeps an eye on the camera man. 'Did he get this? Should i do it again? I can't wait to see this in the news!' He cheers for himself. Ya'll make it out safe and sound. Hes proud of you that you didn't try to escape (you wouldn't dare). He'll reward you with your favourite food.

If this doesn't help he'll swear hes gonna paint the town red.

But his real next plan is confrontation. He'll lend him a piece of mind! Sure at the end its him who gets some but, well they talk it out.

"Nobody's trying to steal them away" "..." "So you can stop with whatever you got going on your mind "

He takes a look at you then a look back at him.

"Yeah you're right" did he finally learn?

CHIGIRI HYOMA is the most supportive boyfriend out of the three. He finds volleyball super interesting, and he’s a fast-learner ! He asked you multiple times to teach him some movements and things about volleyball, but you always declined, too worried about his knee and what could happen to him. But he insisted, over and over again, until you finally agreed with a sigh, a small smile displayed on your face. Chigiri enjoys these small moments of intimacy between you two : and gosh, your gentle and soft touches on his arms when trying to correct his posture to dig, sent shivers down his spine. He comes to your matches every. single. time. (if he’s free, of course, because Blue Lock’s taking a lot of his time, unfortunately), a huge, proud grin on his face as he saw you celebrating your victory with your teammates. You look so good with your hair tied (he’s the one who tied them for you, short or long hair, he doesn’t care, don’t want them to disturb you while you’re playing, do we ?) and your game jersey, he can’t help but takes a picture of this specific moment and making it his wallpaper. When you both come home from your game, you’re going to be treated like royalty. Running you a bath ? Bet. Cooking your favorite plate ? Obviously ! (He’s gonna try, no promises, though). Helping you stretch ? You name it, he’s doing it.

"I’m proud of you, baby.", he whispered, kissing your temple while you were both in the bathtub; surrounded by warm and relaxing water. He looked at your tense shoulders, gentle hands massaging them. "Want me to kiss it better ?"

NAGI SEISHIRO always finishs with bruised fingers, muttering under his breath how your sport sucks and is painful. A real crybaby. And he immediately asks you, in return, to cuddle with him, since he’s too injured to do anything else (you literally hurt his fingers, he can’t play properly anymore ?? You’ve got some audacity.). He definitely prefers to play with his feet, so it’s, unfortunately, extremely hard to train with him around. He told you he won’t play volleyball with you ever again (too much efforts anyway), and definitely refuses to see any match with you. But when you come home with several hematomas, therapy straps around your fingers, he just lets out a deep, disapproving sigh, immediately walking towards you and turning off his phone. He takes your hand in his, pressing gentle and soft kisses on your bruised knuckles and fingers tips, before engulfing you in a bear hug. It often leads with cuddles on the couch, both of you lying on the soft pillows, legs tangled together. Nagi always wake-up, carrying you to bed with a huff, as carefully as possible. When you’re peacefully sleeping in your shared bed, he sits down next to you, smoothly playing with some strands of your hair. These are the only times he’s going to be the big spoon; gently embracing you from behind with his toned arms, not wanting to harm you even more. Nuzzling in your neck, and peppering it with butterfly kisses as he joined you in your oh-so-deserved sleep. The following morning, you were smiling like a dork when you saw Nagi with two tickets in his hand : he bought places for the two of you to a volleyball match, a professional game, with the top-ranked players all around the world.

"Sei’, you didn’t ?!"

"I did. But don’t think I like your lil’ sport or something. Just thought you would like it."

"I definitely like it. Thank you, Sei. I love you so much."

He bit his inside cheek to keep a smile from crawling its way to his lips.

KUON WATARU took interest in your sport rather quickly, his face distorted in pain when he saw professional players receiving a 120kph ball with their forearms, without any protection. He’s always asking so much questions, such as "why aren’t they wearing knee pads ?? He’s gonna burn his skin, he’s dumb", or "your teammate should’ve sent you the ball. There wasn’t any opponent where you were, it was a stupid idea to send the ball on the left… yeah, there was a - what’s the name again ? - oh yeah, a middle ready to block them." He’s constantly judging other players, putting you on a pedestal. You’re the best player in the world in his eyes, and no one can change his mind. He’s always urging you to buy new knee & elbow pads when they’re a slightly bit damaged (actually, he’s not urging you to buy them. He’s directly buying them for you), he doesn’t want to take any risk when it comes to your safety or your body health. Speaking of body health, he’s the one who’s going to patch you up after each practice, scolding you for your lack of caring towards your own body. But he actually likes to play beach volleyball with you, you two make a good team ! He’s proud to brag about your volleyball skills to his friends each time he has the opportunity to do so.

"Good serve, babe !" You ran to Wataru to celebrate his fresh ace, the opponents sighing because of their mistake. You kissed his cheek, proud.

"The student has surpassed the teacher, I guess", he answered with a cocky grin.

"Clearly not."

"Trev's freaking out because of you." The middle Hughes brother announced, looking down at his phone. The girl rolled her eyes at his statement.

"He can survive one hour without talking to me." The singer said, making Luke chuckle slightly has his eyes focused back on the TV.

"Can you just answer him so he stops spamming me, please?" Jack begged as his phone rang over and over again. Alanna rolled her eyes once again before pulling out her phone.

Alanna scoffed as he eyes looked at the chain of message the Zegras boy had left her.

"Excuse me." She whispered before standing up from the couch and walking into the bathroom.

"Finally!" Trevor exclaimed as he answered her phone call.

"Leave Jack alone."

"Lanny, I am getting eaten alive in my comment section, and all you have to say is leave Jack alone?" The boy spoke, clearly being dramatic.

"Trev, just ignore it. No ones actually gonna send you their therapy bills or try to kill you."

"You don't know that." The younger boy sassed through the phone, making Alanna sigh.

"You kinda deserve it, babes."

"Hey!"

"You broke my heart!"

"But I also fixed it!"

"Yeah, and now you're Becky's number 1 public enemy." It was now her turn to sass the boy, who let out a gasp at her words.

"I am not! Becky loves me!"

"She said if you broke my heart again you're never gonna play hockey again."

"It's all jokes, baby. She doesn't mean it... I hope." The boy mumbled, making the girl giggle slightly. "I'm really proud of you, Lana." The boy added, all the playfulness in his voice gone. The girl smiled to herself in the mirror slightly.

"I'm proud of you too, Trev." The girl answered, and at the same moment, a manly voice spoke to Trevor in the background. The hockey player sighed a bit before focusing back on the girl.

"Listen, I gotta go back to training. I'll call you tonight, alright?" The boy announced, making Alanna frown slightly.

"I'll be waiting."

"I love you."

"I love you more, Trevs." The line disconnected after that, the girl now standing silently in the bathroom. Her phone screen black when she pulled it away from her ear and placing it into her pocket before walking back to the living room.

"I still can't believe you got back with him." Jack whispered after a couple of minutes of the three of them just watching the movie that was playing on the TV. The girl was now sitting on the same couch as Jack, since Luke had decided to lay down on the other.

The girl's eyes looked away from the screen and over to the boy, who was already looking at her. Luke's attention remained on the movie, not even hearing Jack's words.

"Do you think I'm being stupid?" The girl asked, her voice just as low has his. Jack nodded his head no, a slight smile appearing on his face.

"You make him happy, and he makes you happy. That's all that matters, Lanny. I don't know what he was thinking when... that happened, but he's so in love with you. When he came back from training camp in 2019, you were all he could talk about. It was always Lana this, Lana that. He's still like that." The boy mumbled, the memories of Trevor never being able to shut up for months because if the girl coming back to him.

"But that if that happens again?"

"Then he's the biggest idiot in the universe. You're the best thing that's ever happened to him, and he better be worshiping the ground you walk on for giving him another chance." The boy reassured her. Alanna would be lying if the thought of Trevor seeing other girls behind her back again wasn't constantly swimming inside her head.

"Thank you, for always being there for me."
