my mother is one of the most powerful beings i've ever met. she will invent her own names for things and say them with such unshakeable confidence that you will assume it is just a colloquialism you've not heard before. until the horrible moment you finally say one of her -isms in front of an otherwise normal adult who is going to ruthlessly mock you.

you can't just chalk this up to my being raised in almost complete isolation re: Catholic homeschooling, either. because our homeschooling group was full of other adults, MANY of whom were converts with knowledge of the outside world, that accepted and adopted her phrases without question. she was not being mocked; it was not done ironically. she just had everyone in her direct sphere falling into line at the sheer power of how self-assured this woman is.

she did not...really return his feelings as deeply. and may not of truly loved him, but did agree to wed him to save her life.

the reason she killed the elder is undisclosed, and unknown.

she died in seclusion when wangji was six.

a gentle woman, who never complained about her imprisonment. light hearted, and playful. she never asked about their studies, but she did tease wangji.

her name is xue yu ( courtesy name undecided )

she was born in qinghe, and was trained in a smaller sect, before venturing on her own. quietly aiding those in need, as she moved further and further from home, till she met qingheng - jun in gusu.

he fell in love immediately, she however did not. but enjoyed his company as he showed her around gusu. even inviting her to the cloud recesses, allowing her to sit in on lessons and teachings. xue yu was energetic, but gentle, happy and eager to learn. growing more and more fond of her friend as the days passed by.

one of the teachers however desired her too. and got too handsy, too pushy. and for attempting to assault her, she killed him.

the reason for the murder did not really matter to the sect. she was an outsider, with no standing, and no one to speak for her aside from qingheng jun himself.

after a swift trial, she is initially tried for a more severe punishment. but qingheng jun offers her marriage instead. which she takes of course, feeling no regret nor sympathy for the teacher she killed.

to say she had ever fallen in love is untrue. she did develop feelings for qingheng jun later on. though they were deeply complicated. she also holds no grudge against him, OR her children. she loves her boys immensely. and wants whats best for them. always enjoying her visits, and eagerly awaiting each one.
