This was originally going to be my gift for the Pale Static Exchange, but as I wrote the intro chapter (2000 words, because it's me) I realised that if I was going to throw my axe into this ring then I want to set the time aside to do it justice.
Tumblr media
Anyway, guess what I'm writing.

Part 3 of the Warrior!Penelope Swap AU
Do you guys have any idea what I've been through this past week!?
Here I am in the middle of this vignette, wondering how I can write Ares' abilities so they are not copies of Athena's powers while also staying canon-compliant, when out of nowhere Mr. Jalapeño himself releases more details regarding Epic!Ares!?
I was both extremely happy (as my fic continues to be canon-compliant) and very much exhausted (you guys have no idea how much I had to change in order for it to match Jorge's canon)
With that out of the way, hope you all enjoy part 4! I'm so glad to introduce to you all one of my favorite Greek Gods ;)
[Appropriate Credits: @gigizetz, for it is Gigi's variation of warrior!penelope that I picture whilst writing this AU.
Also, special shoutout to @somereaderinblue (GeminiWillow on Ao3)! Blue's lyrical rewrites helped shape the dialogue!]
(Cross-Posted on Ao3)
EDIT AS OF (10/24) - I changed the title of this vignette, and so the lyrics were also changed to both sound better and more naturally fit the themes of the story! Hope you all enjoy!
Warrior of The Heart
Penelope knew that in order to successfully lead her comrades home she had to be more than a captain. More than a queen even. No, what Penelope needed to be was a warrior.
A warrior of the heart.
However, as with all mortals, there are moments where she needs to be reminded of who she’s meant to be.
And who better to remind her than her own mentor…
~
Penelope and Circes had just about finished up on the lotus eaters’ island.
After the emotional conflict and resolution they had faced moments ago, the two women decided a light rest was necessary before sailing their raft back to the main ship. Upon their return Penelope would be sure to inform the others of the cave the lotus-eaters had revealed.
Looking up from where she sprawled, Penelope saw Circes playing with one of the little lotus-eating creatures. Despite the danger the captain initially thought them to be, they were actually quite helpful (not to mention a little cute).
She was glad Circes convinced her not to resort to violence.
This resolution with the lotus eaters proved that peaceful solutions were an option and did achieve results. It proved that cruelty and success did not go have to go hand-in-hand. It proved that, when left to make a decision of her own will, Penelope would go for the one that displayed kindness and mercy.
It proved that without the Gods’ intervention Penelope was not a monster.
That was a thought that gave her an immediate sense of comfort, even if it was a relatively selfish one.
Maybe, just maybe, it really was better to greet the world with open arms…
Suddenly, Penelope felt her mind and senses tingle with anticipation.
A very familiar dose of adrenaline rushed through her body, traveling to the very core of her soul. Time around her began to gradually slow, her thoughts and reactions starting to increase in speed.
Penelope blinked, this action lasting only for a second.
Upon re-opening her eyes she found she was no longer on the island. Instead she stood in a sandy plain, reminiscent of the Trojan battlefields she had fought in not too long ago. Circes, the lotus eaters, even the thoughtless creatures of nature and the night, they were all gone. The only thing Penelope could see, apart from miles of endless dark sand, was a red hourglass floating above her.
The hourglass was tilted precariously, dangling over a metaphorical edge. But if one were brave enough to look beyond it's glass frame they'd notice a faint, distorted halo circling above it; dangling from that halo was an invisible pendulum, dancing constantly in circles a safe distance away from the instrument.
Everything around her was silent, leaving Penelope to hear only the sounds of individual grains of red sand streaming down the hourglass
Until the call of a vulture screeched from above.
Looking up, Penelope saw the carnivorous bird circling over her similar to how a normal vulture would. He was covered with majestic brown feathers, the tips colored a deep red akin to the aftermath of a victorious battle. He had an array of feathers atop his head, formed in such a manner that it almost looked as if he wore a war-man’s helmet.
Looking at the vulture from a distance it would appeared as if his eyes were void of thoughts and emotion. However, if one dared to look closely enough, they could see the fowl had the gaze of a man; one eager to stain the ground with blood.
A voice boomed inside Penelope’s head, coming from nowhere and everywhere.
“Have you forgotten the lessons I taught you?”
“Ares!”
The bird continued to circle her person, coming closer and closer with each flap of his daunting wings.
“Have you forgotten to close off your heart? This is not you!”
The vulture was finally within reaching distance to Penelope. His talons, sharp and glinting in the moonlight, were dangerously close to her flesh; If he really wanted to, he could dangerously maim, or possibly even kill, the woman with a simple dive and strike.
Still, despite knowing what he was capable of, Penelope knew she was safe. In spite of his label as nothing more than a bloodthirsty brute to the majority of Greece, she was one of the few who knew his true nature.
His lust for blood revealed itself only to those deserving of it.
But that was not to say she was completely off the hook in this situation
“I see you changing from how I've designed you!”
The vulture landed on the sand not too far from where she stood. Though much smaller in size, for the moment, his presence alone very much made up for it. It was quick to make itself known to Penelope, rattling her deep to her very core.
“Have you forgotten your purpose? Let me remind you…”
With a flash the vulture set before Penelope was no more.
Standing in its place was a very large, very intimidating man, in both height and figure.
This man was taller and stronger than any mortal man could ever hope to be. His arms and legs, thrice the size of a normal male, proudly displayed the tell-tale scars of a warrior with experience. He adorned red and gold greek armor, its design a natural mix of traditional Spartan origin with recent additions of Ithacan influence. His helm, a golden one with a deep red plume, very clearly symbolized what he himself represented to Sparta and what the kingdom meant to him.
This helm covered the entirety of his upper face, the only features left clearly revealed being his nose and mouth. Shadows in the place of his eyes were displayed to the outside world, but the emotions behind them were masked to all who dared to gaze.
“Master of Courage, God of the War,”
A magnificent glowing spear, Ares’ signature weapon, manifested inside his hand.
“My life has one mission…”
Ares thrust the spear-point in Penelope’s direction. An outsider might have thought his intent was to kill her. Thankfully, all he wanted was to place the blunt end of the spear-point on her shoulder.
“Create the greatest warrior!”
Using his divine power as a war God, Ares performed his signature “quick-thought” and dove into Penelope’s mind. Momentarily one, the God sifted through Penelope’s life experiences until he found the memory he wanted her to recall.
~
Penelope remembered that day as if it were yesterday.
About 20 years ago, having barely entered her teenage years, a young Penelope had been asked by her father to accompany him to Ares’ challenge: the magic hunting field.
“I had a challenge, a hunting field, a divine spear only the best could wield!”
The magic hunting field, created with the aid of the Goddess of the Hunt, was a challenge orchestrated to see which mortal was worthy of pulling a divine spear, created by the God of Forging, out the earth. Once that mortal took hold of the spear they were to honor Ares by spilling as much wild blood as they could in His name.
Whoever was able to wield the spear, if anyone could manage such a feat, would be blessed by the God of Courage himself.
Penelope remembered her younger self feeling quite uncomfortable. She was never able to forget what her father tried to do to her as a babe, despite trying to desperately make up for it by being so affectionate toward her; something he continued to do to this day.
However, despite her hesitation, Penelope also recalled feeling elated.
Sparta was a kingdom that believed all their people should at least be familiar with the art of combat, females included. The great kingdom had influenced a few other lands in Greece to adopt this progressive mindset, with others well on their way.
But even then, that day in the hunting field was one of the first times that women were allowed to participate in a challenge set forth by the Gods.
“One day a girl came for the thrill,”
That young Penelope, eager to prove herself to both the world and her father, was determined to show that she could be both a lady of the court and a soldier of the battlefield.
It was one of the many qualities that intrigued her to Ares in the first place.
“A girl whose heart rivaled the spear’s own will!”
Penelope did not know it at the time, but the random spear buried in the dirt that she just happened to pull out on a whim would catch her the eye of the God of War himself.
And he only found himself growing more and more impressed with each wild game whose blood she spilled in his name.
“Let’s go!”
By the final hour of that day young Penelope had proved herself to be a more formidable hunter than any of the numerous young men who tried to prove themselves worthy. Not only had she offered Ares a pleasing amount of blood, but she had ensured her carnage was not without purpose.
She distributed the pelts of fur and rounds of meat amongst her fellow hunters in an act of goodwill.  Penelope even gave a sizable chunk of boar and a beautiful wolf pelt to her father despite her reservations toward him, most likely as some sort of thank you for allowing her to come.
Half of the hunting field’s participants were appreciative of her kindness and impressed with her physical prowess; these people consisting of her father, the few other female hunters, and the men who knew there to be great merit in empowering a young lady beyond what was expected of her.
The others, men who were angry by the fact they were bested by a mere little girl and longed to put her in her place, could only accept their peace offerings with strained smiles and wicked eyes. Still, despite their irritation, these men knew they could not do a damn thing about it; for they were in Ares’ land, and one does not dare harm a young lady under the Protector of Women’s gaze without longing for an excruciating death.
Regardless of how her spectators felt with the matter, everyone knew that the girl had gained the very thing they all were hoping to obtain: the blessing of Ares.
“Maybe one day she'll follow me and we'll make a greater tomorrow, then they'll see I know she'll change the world 'cause she is a Warrior of the Heart!”
As the day’s events unfolded a mysterious vulture, one bigger and more sublime than a vulture should be, flew into the scene. He fit in perfectly with the background of the field.
No one had noticed this vulture watching the young Princess of Sparta since the moment she first stepped foot on the field.
“Maybe one day I'll reach her and we can build her skills as I teach her. If there’s a problem she’ll know to act first,”
Penelope, her father, and their guards had stayed in that field until nightfall. The exhaustion behind the day’s events claimed the girl with an instantaneous sleep, though this was of no surprise to her loving father.
The vulture followed the young girl even while she and her entourage made their way back home. Upon arrival at the palace gates King Icarius carefully carried his daughter inside. However, the princess had not yet been fully claimed by sleep.
Feeling the presence of someone watching her, Penelope looked up from her father’s shoulder.
Right there, perched on a tree branch just outside the gates, was the brown and red vulture. The same one that was watching her back in the magic hunting field.
Penelope’s eyes never left the vulture, even as she was carried inside.
“She is a Warrior of the Heart!”
Later that night, the Princess of Sparta snuck out of her room.
She ran outside the confines of her palace, an easy thing to accomplish with the secret exit she and her siblings shared amongst themselves. Penelope then made her way to the large clump of trees behind the royal palace, not necessarily a forest but more grand than a grove.
Penelope looked around, searching for the vulture that followed her all the way from the hunting field. She gazed from treetop to treetop, gawked from branch to branch, and even tried to search for any dead carrion that may have resulted from its hunger.
But alas, nothing.
…
Well, not entirely…
Penelope just knew something, or perhaps rather someone, was watching her. She could feel their eyes.
“Show yourself.” Penelope searched in every direction, hoping she could finally catch sight of the mysterious presence. “I know you're watching me, show yourself.”
Still nothing.
Unbeknownst to the young girl, a large man was watching her from nearby. If he were a normal man Penelope would have spotted him the second she snuck out; however, this man was anything but.
He had covered himself with a special spell, a divine air that made it so he and his kin could roam the earth without being seen by mortals. He needed to use this spell if he wanted to continue discreetly watching the girl, for it seemed she had recognized his animal form to be more than met the eye.
The divinely-clouded man watched as the girl continued to whirl her head around in search. Finally she stopped, most likely giving up is what the man thought.
But then, and much to his surprise, the girl smirked. Because her back was turned to him the man could not see the mischievous glint in her eyes.
“I can see you.”
The man grew stunned, quick to remove the divine mist that shielded him from mortal eyes.
“How can you see through my spell?”
“Aha!” Penelope whirled around at his voice, hands on her hips in triumph. “I was lying and you fell for my bluff. Hahahaha.”
The man’s eyes grew wide behind his helm, astounded with the bravery and daring of the tiny human before him. Many of his kind would have found themselves insulted at being so easily deceived by a mortal, especially one so young and feminine.
This man, though, was unlike his kin in many ways. He saw no offense, but untapped potential…
Wearing a smile, the man approached little Penelope with not a single hint of hostility in his step.
“Not bad, enlighten me, what's your name?”
Penelope raised her eyebrow at his question. She crossed her arms over her chest and turned her head away in a playful motion that betrayed her supposed suspicion.
“You first, and maybe I'll do the same.”
The man, while not known for his patience, found it no trouble to entertain the child’s stubbornness. He was, after all, no stranger to the whims of daughters.
“Nice try, but two can play this game.”
Penelope silently scrutinized the giant man, quick to note how his carefree personality did not match his intimidating appearance. Based on this observation any normal human would have assumed him to be just another man of Sparta, albeit much bigger compared to the rest and most likely blessed by the Gods.
But alas, Penelope never did fall into the category of “normal”. She knew this man was no mortal simply blessed by another God.
“Nah, you’ve got me wrong, I'm aware you're a God, let’s drop the facade…”
Allowing herself to beam a smile, Penelope revealed to the man a truth she had already known since first becoming aware of his presence.
“Your name is Ares!”
Ooh, Ares
“Badass in war, you carry! Unmatched, Fearless, and very much King of the Battlefield!”
Ares was already impressed with the girl based on what he had seen back in his magic hunting field. This moment, though, of her being able to surmise his identity with barely any clues to help her only further improved his impression of her.
Looks like his challenge truly did end in a success.
“If you're looking for a mentor I'll make sure your time's well spent.”
Penelope had to stop herself from jumping with glee. A God, and not just any God either, but the patron deity of her kingdom and the personification of battle himself had just offered to take her, small and inexperienced Penelope, as a student!
“Sounds like a plan! God and woman, Bestest of friends!" Penelope ran to embrace the God but instead phased right through him.
“We'll see where it ends.” Ares answered in response to her attempted hug.
“Okay.” Penelope said undeterred, lifting herself back up as if nothing had happened.
And with that the God and his mortal made their way back to her room. The memory may have concluded, but that moment forth led to a long and fruitful friend partnership.
“Maybe one day they'll follow me, and we'll make a greater tomorrow,"
Ares would go on to watch over and advise his student. Sometimes he would take the appearance of a standard human male, posing as a Spartan guard trusted to keep the princess safe. Other times he would assume his vulture form, flying over Penelope and guiding her from the skies. Most times, though, Ares would shape himself into a small snake that wrapped around Penelope’s throat; conspicuous enough not to arouse suspicion but with just the right amount of menace to keep any adversaries from coming too close.
"Then they'll see I know we'll change the world ‘cause we are the Warriors of the Heart!”
Ares and Penelope would spend a lot of their time together in training. The mortal learned how to properly wield a spear, handle a dagger, and even aim a bow. She learned that her feminine rage was a good thing and that setting it free could be beneficial at times. And, thanks to some advice from his loving partner, Ares found ways to help Penelope build up enough muscle to enhance her strength while also keeping her body just lithe enough for the sake of norms and appearances.
“Maybe one day we'll reach them and we can build their skills as we teach them,"
And it did not stop at just his student either!
Penelope was thankful to have married a husband who was so supportive of her endeavors and even wished to help her in achieving them. Ares was too, he supposed (even if he vehemently opposed the idea of marriage in the beginning).
Penelope became the paragon of female warriors. She would lead and become a role model to the women willing to put themselves through even harsher training regimens than what the men in their lives partook in. In the beginning there were never a lot of women who were willing to learn, but as time went on more and more strove to push their limits.
"If there's a problem, we'll know to act for we are the Warriors of the Heart!”
The point is over the years Penelope grew to be more than she ever thought she could be. She had shown the world that it was possible for a woman to be a formidable warrior while also staying true to her femininity (remember, Penelope was known all throughout Sparta and Ithaca for her immense talent in weaving).
All of it thanks to the guidance of Ares. Of what he had allowed her to become.
~
Back to the present, Ares was satisfied with the knowledge he wanted Penelope to recall. Enough to motivate her, but to also remind her of their goal.
“I still intend to make sure you don't fall apart. Don't forget that you're a warrior made to be a work of art-”
Even if she had learned almost all he could teach her, Penelope was still only a mortal. The Gods had only so many stories of what could happen when mortals are left to their own devices.
And Ares couldn’t allow that to happen. Not after all the time he devoted into molding her.
“You are a Warrior of the Heart!”
Penelope, the current one, let out a sigh.
Ares was right, of course he was right. As a God he knew best; he knew what needed to be done to accomplish his their ultimate goal.
As his student it was her duty to heed his every command. For both their sakes.
Seeing that she had taken his words to heart, Ares prepared to release her consciousness back to reality.
Before he did though, the God gave her one more warning…
“Don't disappoint me.”
And with that he was gone, the only proof of his presence a cluster of vulture feathers carrying the scent of burnt torches and carrion.
The sandy landscape quickly faded, returning to the grassy thicket that was the lotus eaters’ island.
The top end of the red hourglass was practically empty, save for a lone grain of sand. That faint halo, the one holding the invisible pendulum, inched closer to the instrument.
This single grain fell, joining the rest on the bottom of the glass. The Invisible pendulum swung a hair of a distance away from the sand clock’s glass, not quite close enough to crack but very close.
In a flash everything went back to how it was before. Circes, the lotus eaters, even nature itself, they all returned to their normal speed. It was as if nothing happened.
Penelope let out a breath. They needed to get return.
Now.

Uh... swap!AU???
A long time ago I had a concept for this AU. It was askew and crooked, without any normal ideas. And then in 2017 I wanted to depict Swap!Night guards in Rebornica artstyle. (Let me explain: Kevin is a night guard from FnaF 3 by Pole_Bear).
Just recently I found out that this drawing was published on Pinterest and was liked by many. This inspired me to make a redraw. To make drawing easier, I slightly adjusted the original style to my own. And the first ones I drew were Scott and Vincent. I've been thinking for a long time about whether to make Scott "the Red Guy", but that's it for now. Maybe I'll redo it later.
Tumblr media
Then I drew Mike and Jeremy. The guys haven't changed much, but somehow… Bonnie mask, yay!
Tumblr media
The last art was a whole challenge for me. I don't really like drawing backgrounds, but I wanted to work hard here. Kevin and Fritz look… ok, but I think I could do better.
Tumblr media
That's all for now. Thank you all for your attention!

Possible Au idea????
So I've been listening to Chonny Jash's "The Mind Electric" And this idea brewed in my mind for a experiment au for twisted wonderland. So far all the freshmen + Silver, Idia, Cater, and Trey are experiments.
Ace, Deuce, and Yuu are paired: Ace is titled 'The Heart', Deuce is 'The Mind', and Yuu is 'The Soul' They have been in this Lab the longest, the reason they are paired together is because they originally were one person before Ace and Deuce managed to split apart into different forms without realizing that they split into three, they can fuse back together, if Ace and Deuce coporate.
Sebek and Silver are paired Sebek is 'The Knight' and Silver is 'The Prince' They cannot be separated no matter how hard the scientists have tried it always ended in failure. Silver is in a constant sleep walking state as well as being covered in briars that tend to move on their own, Sebek is very protective over Silver, being a suit of armor that is puppeted by briars that gained consciousness. They've been at the Lab 4th longest but they definitely have a system.
Grim is alone: Grim's title is 'Puppet' due to the fact that he stays by Yuu the most, seeing as Yuu is technically the main leader of their trio. Grim though being a flaming cat can be seen to have slight puppet insignia that only appeared after he stays with Yuu. He's the newest arrival.
Epel is alone: Epel is titled 'poisoned apple' due to the fragrance that surrounds him, it smells of freshly baked apple pie, but if you inhale this too much you'll experience intoxication, then it leads towards death due to the poisonous gas that's masked under the sweet fragrance. It currently doesn't seem like Epel can control this ability. Epel has been here around the third longest.
Orthro and Idia are paired: Orthro title is 'Cyborg' and Idia is 'Hologram' Orthro is exactly like his canon form, Idia had been trapped inside his tablet and can only show up as a Hologram. Orthro carries Idia and cannot ever part with his brother. After an incident with a other subject, Orthro is known to be a lot more dangerous than he leads on to be, due to his brother's predicament he puts himself into the role of the protector. Orthro and Idia have been here the second longest.
Jack is Alone: Jack's title is 'Peacemaker', as peacemaker he always has a golden glow around him, he has a sense of duty that always follows him, the most unusal thing about him is that it is impossible to lie to him, like he always has a spell of truth over anyone who is within his vicinity. He's been around same time Epel came in, it has been found that only Jack (so far) can be around Epel.
And Finally Cater and Trey are paired: Cater is 'March Hare' and Trey is 'Mad Hatter', Trey had gotten himself and Cater stuck in a time loop at a tea party, both have been in this loop for so long that they've lost their minds. Anyone to approach and join the Tea Party tends to be called 'Alice' and is forced to stay until they follow the story of what happens. Cater has gained the features of a hare with the ears, tail, and paws. Trey has began making all sorts of hats allowing guests to wear them and swap them with his own. they aren't that dangerous, unless you do everything wrong, then it get a bit more intense as the wondrous tea party becomes more sinister. They've been under watch for a while, having not being able to be contained in the lab.
Now that I've written this down this feels like SCP but it's not, I hope you've enjoyed my rambling.

Tagged by @tina-mairin-goldstein! Tagging whoever else wants to play.
1.How many fics do you have on AO3?
78.
2. What's your total word count on AO3?
934,933. Wow, maybe I can break a million this year....
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Just HANNIBAL right now (and for like the last seven years or so). Been vaguely thinking about picking up a second but nothing has caught my interest strongly enough.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Attachment - 7,592
The Fisherman and the Beast from the Sea - 4,565
Sashimi - 2,807
Hungry Ghost - 1,585
Identically Different - 1,382 <- This is my best series and yall should give it a shot <3
5. Do you respond to comments?
I try to, and I enjoy doing so, but sometimes the brainworms win and I don't get stuff done even when I really want to.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Breathless
I don't love this story, but "Hannibal is effectively braindead after the fall, but Will keeps caring for the body and feels that Hannibal is there with him, up until the body dies and Will turns himself in because there isn't any point anymore" probably counts as the most angsty? If you are in the market for a "Hannibal receives a brain injury and he, along with everyone else around him, has to cope with that" story Tina's For Remembrance (Holes in the Floor of the Mind) is a much better pick. And as I continue to think about it, Means of Influence has a pretty angsty ending.
7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Most of my stories have slightly bittersweet but still mostly happy endings. Part of the thing about that is I think it's really hard to envision a situation where Will is like 100% Happy Happy, his own mind hates him too much and every little scrap of happiness needs to be fought for and then vigilantly guarded. But I put both him and Hannibal through so much that I always want them to be as close to content as they each can be.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I have gotten two flavors of Fic Hate. 1.) People calling the five year old kid OC in ATTACHMENT slurs like "r*tard" and saying "he belongs in jail" and etc.
Every time Hannibal or Will fuck someone who isn't each other at least one person decides to Yell At Me.
I think I've gotten the old "you didn't tag for bottom Hannibal!!" nonsense once or twice too, but who hasn't?
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
A little. I actually started Hannishark bc I was really intimidated by sex scenes and wanted to see if I could pull off a short monsterfucker story. I feel like I've gotten better at writing these but am generally more comfortable leaving them sparce on anatomical details and big on feelings/conversations.
10. Do you write crossovers? If so, what's the craziest one?
I've got a WRONG TURN crossover series that I'm very proud of here: Bear Mountain Road AU. You don't need to have seen any of the movies to read it, or anything, the movies' premise of "a clan of inbred mountain cannibals waylays travelers" is really just an excuse to put Hannibal (and Will and D, as child members of the cannibal family) In Situations. If I counts as a cross over, I've got a universe swap between the novels and NBC HANNIBAL here: Shiloh
I also have a vague idea for a SAW / HANNIBAL crossover but I've been sitting on that for so long, who knows if it'll ever happen?
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not so far as I know.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes, several times.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
Yep, a couple of times.
14. What's your all time favorite ship?
Hannigram and Reba/D (guys we need a fuckin ship name).
15. What are your writing strengths?
Character, emotions, dialogue.
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
Sex scenes, pacing.
17. Thoughts writing dialogue in another language?
Fine by me, tho I only think I've done it one or twice.
18. First fandom you wrote for?
FARSCAPE.
19. Favorite fic you've written?
Identically Different AU !!!! This it the best thing I've ever written and probably the best thing I will ever write.

With your latest ask about the Dimension Swap AU, my brain is going into 'Brain Rot Mode' about it and now I gotta know Yugo's whole deal in it. The phrase "deeply unsocialized animal" is a string of words I've never heard before but will be using in my own character creations now. Yugo is clearly going through it when Rin beats his ass and has no idea what to do with that.
(I also want to know how Yuya's and Yuto's dynamic is in this AU. Yuya gives off the vibes of a frightened pitbull. Will rip your hand off if pushed, but really just wants to cuddle.)
TELL ME ABOUT IT WE'VE HAD THESE GUYS EATING OUR BRAINS SINCE MAY!!!
ok so i started talking about Yugo's Whole Deal but it was getting bigly long-winded so I had to make a separate post about him specifically--you can find that over HERE. my scary jock <3 he is indeed deeply unsocialized!! mind your fingers, this dog bites!!!
anyway re: yuto and yuya, hehe i wouldnt say yuya's like anything close to a pitbull he's more like. hm, if a soggy paper towel had the ability to occasionally and violently turn into a pipe bomb. he's a wet baby raccoon someone found in a storm drain. he was forced to eat cement when he was 6. etc etc. meanwhile standard!yuto is out here internalizing yusho's 'smile when you feel like crying' rhetoric in the form of keeping himself chivalrous and 'noble' at all times and never complaining so youve really got the push and pull of "extremely emotional all the time" and "keeping "cool" to a borderline harmful degree." (dont worry about yuto bottling up all his emotions im sure it's fine.) (im sure!!!)
xyz!yuya doesn't have many friends (and one of them ohhhh you know gave the ok for the invasion that blew up his home so. thats not great. 😬) so he kind of gloms onto Yuto's friend group (rin and gong) like his life depends on it. and i think early on his dynamic with Yuto is kind of shaky, but I was just talkin about this with zxal and there's definitely this element where Yuya's much more Heart on His Sleeve Emotions kind of helps get Yuto get back in touch with, yknow. Crying. Letting One's Self Embrace Negative Emotions. so it takes a bit but I like the idea that they eventually get more in sync and become actual friends (this in turn making up for Yuya traumadumping at Yuto and then immediately dying and getting soul-absorbed and then having about 14 panic attacks in Yuto's brain.)
(though by that point things are not helped by the fact there's a whole third other guy in the yuto mind palace (yuri) 🥴 but they'll work it out)

What do you MEAN you're not a fan of the "my take culture" in the "my take on undertale" community???
There's a difference between making fanworks that reimagine a widely popular indie game and people acting entitled to making their own version of small fan creators' passion projects, who don't have the wide reach and platforms that the original canon material has. It's one thing if the AU is left open or abandoned, e.g. Underfell or Underswap, but I have seen creators get bullied for simply asking that people not do takes on their stories. Takes, to be specific, not outlawing fanworks about their projects outright.
This whole take mindset is heavily shunned in most other fandoms- it'd be seen as plagiarism or laziness. I distinguish takes from, say, a work inspired by someone's unique fanwork, or a fanwork of a fanwork. Or a unique fan creation that happens to be of a similar AU genre- e.g. role swap, morality swap, genre shift (e.g. space, western, etc). But beyond that, I just think it'd be more enriching for people to create their own AUs. When I started Inverted Fate, I never once considered it an iteration of Underswap- I wanted to make a fanwork that takes role swap elements while preserving characterization but also had a story in mind, diverging from a failed UT pacifist ending. I just think, personally, that instead of people doing their own takes on other people's AUs, they'd be better off making their own AUs. Like, using Storyshift "takes" as examples- most of them just use the role placements of Storyshift and aren't recognizable as the AU in terms of lore concepts, story, etc, and I genuinely think those projects would be better establishing their own identities. Likewise, I think someone could make their own distinct Undertale + Mario crossover AU with its own name outside of Undertoad.
People often mistake my dislike of takes as outlawing all IF fanworks- that isn't the case, but I just don't like the idea of making takes of someone's personal projects that they put a lot of love into, because "takes" generally come from a place of wanting to outdo the original creators, and I've seen creators get harassed for simply not wishing for that sorta iteration on their fanworks. :/ Ultimately, I can't technically stop it, but I can voice how it's not really something I'm fond of.
I've been in fandom spaces for a very long time, and in no other fandom have I seen such insistence on making takes on people's distinct fanworks. Inspired works, sure, but this fixation on making versions of people's stories wholesale just doesn't sit well with me, nor does the disrespect toward creators that I often see cultivated.
I guess the thing I wanna add, is like, I distinguish something like, say, a bad end fic of someone's comic/AU/etc or, like, exploring what-ifs in that story to like... the way some people wanna outdo fanwork creators with their own version of that person's fanwork. At the very least, clear credit and links back to the source material at minimum. I've just seen too many fanworks get overshadowed by other people's imaginings of them to a point where the original gets lost.

I'm back at it again with some diamond swap au character designs! This time we have The Diamonds and Pearl. I thought about doing some designs for Blue and Yellow Pearl, but I think their canon designs are perfectly fine for this au so I'll be leaving them as is.
Tumblr media
We have Pink, Blue and Yellow Diamond along with Pearl, who used to be White's pearl until she got broken.
I wanted to keep Pink's jester elements from her canon design and mix it with White's canon design. Of course I've added my own spin on it since I can. I really love giving pink gloves with only one finger covered. I made her hair a bit more curly to give this illusion that she's a fun gal when really she's just like canon White who wants everything to be perfect (even if that means manipulating others for her own ideals).
For Blue I wanted to make her similar to canon Yellow since I have the two of them swapped, but I also wanted to make her be similar to how she was before Pink's "shattering" in canon since she wasn't always the sad mom she turned into. I did struggle with her hair so ultimately I made it look similar to Yellow's canon hair, but instead of it actually being hair it's really just a helmet that has all her hair stored in.
For Yellow I really liked the idea of making her look more like a princess in a way since it contrasts her knightly(?) look in canon, plus she's the sad mom in this au so giving her a dress felt fitting. Though I did keep her diamond/triangles that were on her canon design to give hints that she's still a tough gem, but just grieving the loss of the two youngest and smallest diamonds. (even though the two aren't shattered, just rebelled against the Diamond Authority). Also I had originally tried to make Yellow's hair long like Blue's canon hair is, but it wasn't working out so I ended up just giving her short hair.
Lastly for Pearl I kept her design relatively the same, just switched some things up. The colors of her outfit is swapped around and like the pearls of Yellow and Blue she has the little diamond cut out thing (which is literally just like the other two pearls' outfits because I wanted it to look similar to theirs). She, like I mentioned, is broken and can't speak like others. She uses other means of communication or just doesn't speak at all. White accidentally broke her when having a fit about the older diamonds, specifically Pink, and felt so bad that she hurt her pearl (which leads to her ending up with an even more broken pearl). However, Pearl doesn't blame White for the accident, believing that White would never intentionally hurt her like that. Pearl also accepts that White gave her away to protect her even though she's just a pearl that could be easily replaced. Pearl actually is fine with being Pink's pearl because she's more willing to do whatever Pink wants unlike Penny, which is why Penny has a lot more cracks than Pearl.
So if anyone wants to learn or know more or just hear me ramble about this au you can send in asks. I know I should be working on my main au, but I'm having fun with this one right now lol I do have the CGs to design and draw, but I'm actually thinking of changing some things up for them.
Anyways, hope you enjoyed the art and I hope that you have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!! And remember stay creative!!!

5 headcanons from a Trollhunters AU of your choice?
So there's this AU that I've had vague ideas about for a while, a roleswap where I swap all the canon ships (not counting Word of God ships and ships where we never see one of the characters). Do note that while the canon ships are getting swapped, the only canon ship that definitely gets together in this AU is Jlaire. (Staja and Darby are both maybe's, but I'm leaning no because IDK how much sense they'd make in this 'verse. Everything else is a NOTP for me.) (Also due to the amount of canon ships, you get more than 5 headcanons.)
Stricklake: Waltolomew is Jim's dad. Jim's bio mom walked out on them when Jim turned five - she accidentally saw Strickler in his true form, and she just wanted to escape. She was concerned that Jim wasn't human either, and she didn't want anything to do with him. (She was right that Jim wasn't fully human, though that didn't manifest as anything other than a very mild iron allergy until he got possessed by Morgana.) Meanwhile, Barbara is a local doctor who ends up getting roped in after she sees too much going on with the local teen defenders, and also after she ends up as Jim's foster mom when Strickler went missing.
Jlaire: The last battle between Kanjigar and Bular took place in a slightly different location, one that Claire was able to ride her bike to. She picked up the amulet and wasn't detected as quickly as Jim was in canon due to Strickler not going into the women's locker rooms. This allows her to have just enough time to learn to fight without Bular killing her for not knowing her way around knives like Jim does. Jim, meanwhile, has recently had the truth of his heritage revealed to him. If he serves the Janus Order well enough, then he can undergo the ritual that could make him a polymorph. (He never goes through the ritual but gains the ability anyways thanks to Morgana.) In the latter half of season 1, he became Team Trollhunters' man on the inside because he can't accept a world where Gunmar reigns (and also because Claire is very pretty in her armor.)
Dromura: Nomura became Kanjigar's apprentice, and while she didn't 100% expect to become the next trollhunter, she is miffed that this human girl with no fighting experience became the next trollhunter instead of her. She also briefly had a fling with Draal, who's human form works with Barbara under the alias of Dr. Aalbregt. Nomura once tried to get Kanjigar and Draal to meet in the hopes that Draal would change sides, but Kanjigar claimed that the impure was not his son. Ouch.
Staja: I'm not saying that Aja is the school bully, but she is rivals with Claire & Mary for popularity, with Claire & Mary being the femme popular crowd and Aja being the star quarterback. (Aja and Darci were neighbors growing up, so they're slightly more cordial.) She also teases Eli, but in a more friendly way since he's her little brother's BFF (and also Eli might have a crush on Krel). Eventually, the Tarron twins + Eli find out the truth. Steve on the other hand is the slightly spoiled heir to House Palchuk of Akiridion V. Seklos help us all.
Nanavex: Varvatos used to babysit Darci and the Tarron twins, sometimes at the same time, because he lives near all of them. He taught them to fight and can tell that something is going on. He doesn't know what. Nancy's son, husband, and daughter-in-law were all killed by the Zerons, and she was left to raise her grandson on her own. Between this and
Darby: I just can't see Darci getting the gravity cursed hammer, and I also can't really see her using a bow in this AU despite her using it in my seasonal amulet AU. I'm gonna say that instead she stole a fancy looking flute from the museum at the end of the second battle of Killahead. This flute was actually the flute that belonged to the Pied Piper, and it allows her to control small animals... and also goblins, because of the long-running raccoon joke. Mary never gets quite as involved in trollhunting as the others do due to being squeamish around violence, which causes her to grow distant from Claire and Darci. The coup happens earlier, Toby makes a cool bracelet for her, and Mary is selfish enough that she decides to befriend this foreign weirdo in order to get cool bracelets. (Due to the coup happening earlier, the two supernatural groups meet earlier. Toby gets to meet Vendel, who is more impressed with him than in canon. Vendel also likes Toby better than Steve.)
Stuart x Gwen: "The bounty hunter (Stuart) you (Morando) sent after us (Steve, Nancy, and Toby) became part of our found family." Meanwhile, I have two potential takes on Gwen. The first is that she's an untrustworthy rogue agent, willing to sell alien tech but also willing to sell secrets to whomever she thinks can get her the best deal. The other is that I replace Gwen of Gorbon with Guinevere, who was an alien all along in this 'verse, and Arthur thought that this foul creature killed his wife when he saw her in her true form. (In the latter case, there would be parallels between Guinevere/Arthur and Waltolomew/Jim's bio mom.)
send me an au and i’ll give you 5+ headcanons about it

Hello. I am still thinking about my role swap.
I've been thinking about a lot of different little ideas for the AU, so enjoy some disjointed thoughts below, beginning with what I think some of the conflicts between the two would be.
One of the big points of contention between the two of them, I think, would be the fact that John is incredibly cautious and risk-averse while Arthur is very curious and prone to risk-taking.
I think human John has learned to be incredibly cautious and to avoid taking unnecessary risks. Before he left the cult, I think it was because the cult leaders were incredibly overprotective of him. After all, they didn't want anything bad to happen to the vessel of their great King. And John didn't want to earn their ire, so he did everything he could to avoid upsetting them. And once he left the cult, he did everything he could to avoid being found by the cult and to avoid stumbling into some supernatural nonsense again.
I think John saw how dangerous knowledge and curiosity could be while he was in the cult and is thus very wary of pursuing knowledge and trying to get answers. So, when Arthur pushes for them to find answers and to try and solve the mystery they find themselves in, John is very resistant to it.
I think after getting Arthur in his head, John loses his memories, which means he doesn't remember who sent him the music box or anything else about his life. The only reason John goes along with the idea of solving the mystery of who he is and why he was sent the music box is because it might allow him to get Arthur out of his head. As he slowly gets his memories back, he probably is also determined to continue because Anna and Sarah are in trouble and he feels like it's his responsibility to help them since they got kidnapped by his cult in the first place.
Not to mention, I think John is just not a very trusting person because of his background. Even after he loses his memories, he has this ingrained fear of trusting people.
I think part of Arthur's desire to take risks and look for answers is a natural curiosity, but there's also the fact that he doesn't remember much of anything about his own life. He's pretty sure he was human at some point and he doesn't know how he got from human to what he is now. He doesn't really remember all that much about being human, so it doesn't bother him a whole lot, but it does still bother him not to know. He wants to know what happened to him. He wants to know how he became what he is.
And he's incredibly interested in solving the mystery that is John because this is the most stimulation he's gotten in years and he needs to know what's happening here. And it's been a long time since he's had a proper relationship with someone, so he's not... super great at respecting boundaries? I feel like he probably pushes too hard when asking John about his past and why John is so resistant toward some of Arthur's ideas.
I feel like since he's also a bit disconnected from his humanity, Arthur is even more down for murder than he normally is. John is also definitely pretty down for murder due to his survival-at-all-costs mindset, but there are definitely some times when he and Arthur disagree on whether to kill something. And I doubt these are quiet disagreements.
I'm not completely caught up on the show at the moment, but I know Arthur gets sent back to the Middle Ages in one of the newer episodes, and part of me thinks it might be fun if this entity version of Arthur is a version of Arthur who got separated from John during this transition and ended up stuck. Maybe in some desperate attempt to find a way to reunite with John, he ended up performing some sort of ritual that turned him into something similar to what John and the King in Yellow are.
Maybe Kayne even shunted him into a world where there was a human version of John because he thought it would be fun to see how their dynamic would play out with Arthur as the entity. I have not encountered Kayne in the podcast yet, but from the one animatic I've seen I feel like this is something he'd do just for shits and giggles.
Also. I have a pretty good idea now of the situation that led to Arthur being trapped in the music box and John leaving the cult.
Anna and Sarah were kidnapped by the cult John was a part of and were going to be used as sacrifices to bring the King in Yellow to the mortal plane and into John's body. But the King in Yellow wasn't what came through. It was Arthur.
I think John probably talked with Anna and Sarah while they were being kept by the cult, and he ended up helping them escape when the ritual went wrong.
As for why Arthur came through the portal, I think it was because he felt John's presence, and even though he doesn't really remember all that much about his John or what their relationship was, he knows that John is a part of him that he desperately wants back.
And I think Arthur did kill Emily MacFarland in this case. Because she opened the music box and she wasn't John. He needed John.
He doesn't tell John about any of this at first, of course. Because while he's lost a lot of understanding of humans, he understands that this John probably doesn't know him and will probably freak out if Arthur just admits, "Hey, I think you're the missing piece of me that I need to feel whole so I tricked you into opening my music box so I could get inside you."
And John is pretty freaked out when he does find this out.

So. I made an RTC swap au!!
It started just with an idea of John Doe!Ricky that I had for a pretty long time, but recently I decided to turn it into something cooler, so I made this whole thing. Maybe I'll sketch their designs later (or at least make picrews of them), but idk how much time it will take. I haven't change some things, like the relationships between some characters, because I thought it wouldn't work very well. But, this isn't fully finished yet, so there's some moments that may be changed in the future.
I imagine this AU more like a play, than a musical and honestly I really don't think that it'll become something serious, cause I'm not that good at writing and creating full stories, so, at least at the moment, it's just for fun. Also, the designs are based on the 2016 cast, but feel free to make your own interpretations with your favorite cast. And maybe someday I'll make them too, we'll see. Anyway, hope y'all enjoy it!! (Pls excuse me if there are any mistakes, english isn't my first language, blah blah blah. Also there are a lot of spoilers for rtc, so if you plan to watch it — don't read further!)
So, first is Penny — the most imaginative girl in town. She's super silly, sometimes awkward and doesn't really have any friends because most people think she's weird. Penny often gets left out or bullied, and she uses escapism to cope with this + all the stuff with her parents, who she didn't get enough love from. Her fantasies is a bit different from the original Ricky's: they don't have a lore, she just makes up random stories to escape from reality and writes them out sometimes. She *definetely* writes fanfiction and probably posts it online. For some reason people find it cool, but no one in the choir knows about it. She's still a Seven-Up fan and she plays the ukulele (that will be used in the new birthday song for Ricky)
I changed her design just a bit, now she wears a lot of accessories, mostly pins (bc I headcanon the og Ricky having them) and it's mostly based on Emily Rohm's Penny, while her personality is more like legoland Penny's.
The next is Ocean — the angriest girl in town. Like the og Mischa, she hates her parents (but in this case they aren't adoptive) and their lifestyle, but instead of becoming the most succesful to prove that she's different from them, this Ocean just becomes a total mess and starts hating everyone. Idk if I will make her like shitty rap about money in autotune, but she definetely has a history of stealing stuff from stores, lol.
Design changes: messy hair; she doesn't have a headband and a tie, her shirt isn't fully buttoned up. She wears a sweater vest over it with a short skirt (a dress, actually).
Then we have Constance — the most succesful girl in town. She's a big nerd and spends a lot of her time studying because she wants to be the best. In general she behaves just like original Ocean and treats Noel like Ocean would treat her in the og musical (they're besties, but not really). She's pretty mean and very ambitious. This Constance doesn't have as much love for her town as the og one and she plans to move out (and become a premier minister of Canada, maybe :p) She's the one to make the final vote in this AU and of course she will choose John Doe/Ricky.
I haven't change a lot of things in the design, but her hair isn't dyed anymore, buns are down, she has a tie and maybe some hairpins. In general she looks a bit more tidy
Next one: Noel — the nicest boy in town. A complete opposite to the og Noel, he doesn't want to change anything in his life and enjoys living in Uranium. He's still super homosexual and has a big crush on Mischa, and, as I've said before he's "best friends" with Constance who treats him like shit and makes jokes about how he's never gonna breed👍🏻 /ref
He's really insecure about himself, but very friendly with everyone else (especially Mischa). He still enjoys all the french stuff, but you know, in a less... horny... way. And his mother is a baker and Noel often helps her in their cafe
He now has a short-sleeved shirt, round glasses and half of his hair is purple (it's also a bit more messy). In general I didn't change a lot in his design, but I made him such an UwU softie boy /j
Then, Mischa — the most romantic boy in town (ah yes, this one is for you, Mischa simps). He's still in love with Talia and his backstory is the same, but instead of becoming an angry rapper, he became a sad romantic guy, who dreams about moving to Ukraine with his (probably non-existing) internet fiancé. He just wants to be happy :(
Design changes: his clothes and hair aren't that messy anymore and he has a black jacket (like the one chance theatre Noel had). Also his nails are usually black or any other dark shade!!
And! Finally! My best creation yet — John Doe!Ricky. Perhaps, the rest of the choir doesn't remember him (well, in fact they do remember him, but it's a different theory and I don't want to bring it here) because he couldn't talk and no one really noticed him. The only person he was pretty close with was Penny, but still, they weren't even friends, they just standed close to each other while the choir was performing and both sat in the back of a rollercoaster when the accident happened. There will be a role-swapped version of the Savannah scene, but I don't know what name should I use instead of Savannah yet (if you have any ideas, please drop them in the comments!! I'll be very grateful)
When he gets choosen by Constance he'll came back to life as Ricky and yes, he WILL remain disabled because I'm a very big Ricky fan + a very big ableism hater, don't expect that shit from me👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Also he will still have 14 cats because. Why not. I love cats.
The only thing that will change is the fact that he's a little happier now?? People around him treat him better and he doesn't have to fantasize about fucking cat-people from Zolar to be happy lol. Oh man I'm writing a bit too much about him sorry I just love this guy a lot. Bless his little heart
Finally, about his design: honestly he's just a yassified version of this picture /hj
Tumblr media
Okay, so he has a head stolen from some super swag dressed in a Bowie-like style doll that for some reason was in the warehouse. He has a big purple star around one of his eyes and some parts of his hair are also colorful (purple/blue/pink). His clothes isn't very different, but maybe I'll add some more accesories
Well, that's all atm. I will try my best to make some content for this and keep developing this idea and I really really hope you will like it!
Reblogs/comments/likes are VERY appreciated and again, if you have any recommendations for improving this au I'll be really glad to hear them or just any of your thoughts!!!
Ty for reading (◍•ᴗ•◍)✧*。

Soul Eater AU! Amber:
Tumblr media
To start off, Amber's grandfather was a well-known Meister. His Weapon, Shimura Nana, took the form of a bow. He was someone said to be very warm and welcoming, but frighteningly powerful even just by himself.
Unfortunately, after a mission goes wrong and he passes away, Shimura Nana returns only to disappear after sending in her report.*
Lord Death, in respect for them, takes in Amber‐whose parents have long since gone no-contact-and raises her in her grandfather's place. To keep her company, Death the Kid is born. They live and grow up together, but when Amber finally gets to fully inherit her grandfather's fortune, she sets out to get a place of her own. This was mostly for Kid's sake, as she'd like to do some self exploration and experiment, but she didn't want to stress out the boy more than she already does.
Amber had always known that she'd follow in her grandfather's footsteps, in awe at the intimacy that it requires to work so effeciently as a team. Originally wanting to join to help others alongside someone, she joins the DWMA with another goal: finding Shimura Nana and getting answers as to what happened.
When attending the orientation, she'd been expecting to team up with someone that could match with her personality-wise, as resonating would not be an issue for her due to having a flexible soul wavelength. She'd gotten along with most attendees there, but she was only proficient in very few weapons, thus leaving her with fewer options she'd like.** This then leads her, and one other person to be the last ones standing. Conveniently, this other person was a Weapon.
This person would turn out to be Shimura Tenko, the grandchild of Shimura Nana, although Amber does not make the connection instantly. And due to his demeanor and rude attitude, she wouldn’t dare associate him with someone as incredible as her. Despite getting off on the wrong foot, they agree to work with each other to make ends meet and achieve their respective goals.
Belatedly, Tenko tells her about his Weapon form, and she find that's maybe she would have been willing to learn how to use a new weapon from scratch, so long as she could look up video tutorials and refer to someone for help. But the deal's sealed and she has no other option but to keep moving onwards.
Even though Tenko's weapon form is unconventional, she finds it incredibly easy to use, especially when there's no resistance on his end when he's transformed. Her performance and relation to her grandfather garners the attention of some of the staff, and there's much to be expected for someone like her. She pays little mind to this, focusing on herself and her goals first.
I might change some things when moving forward with the idea, but for now, I think this is all in terms of Amber's background for this AU.
-
*on my IG, I had mentioned that Nana would be the one to die and Amber's grandfather the one that goes missing, to keep with their respective canon. I've decided to swap their roles, as I think it'd be more interesting like this.
**I feel like Amber wouldn't actually so picky, but for the sake of the story, it's because she doesn't want to hold her partner back, and would rather get a jumpstart when it comes to combat training. This way, she could get to helping others faster, as she'd spend less time needing to hone her techniques.

Hi, so in the roleswap au, I've seen you mentioning that Wolfwood kills anyone that inconveniences him. So does that mean vash still holds his pacifist ideals or is he fine with murder, being chapel and all?
Btw i live your art and your roleswap au so far, can't wait to see more ^^
Hey there!
It's more than killing people who are inconvenience for him. Wolfwood, despite his lack of interest in humans, is not an apathetic murderer. He knows plants need humans to survive, and while he's not fond of them, he knows not all of the humans are bad (his time in ship 3 helped him to grow a bit closer to humanity) so for example, he wouldn't spare Gung Ho Guns members like Vash does in the original story. He even thinks his method is more merciful, because if they went back with failure, they'd be brutally murdered (He's a realist, as opposed to Vash's optimism).
Now for Vash, it was ineede challenging to think how he would fit in as both Eyes of Michael and Gung ho Guns. Vash is pacifist by nature, he only left the orphanage after Knives, after promising Rem to bring him back. He feels miserable at every moment of it, because despite his incredible skills and his S+ capability which makes him an important asset, his moral compass clashes with both organisations. The thing is, except assassination, Vash pulls off every single mission handed to him with flying colours, which is the only reason why they allowd him to stay. (and he main reason Razlo sends him specifically, he knows Wolfwood would warm up to him).
That, of course, doesn't mean he hadn't killed a single soul. He has, and it kills him inside. He's going through the same guilt he carries in the original au, but in a more human level(?) if that makes sense?
Meeting with Wolfwood is both a blessing and a curse for Vash. He believes that Wolfwood isn't a bad person, and he can see despite his callous and cold facade, Wolfwood cares about humanity in his own way. (No matter how vehemently he denies it) Wolfwood is amazing with kids, and he doesn't turn his back to people in need. But he also kills people he deems to be wicked, doesn't look back when to help people who stabbed him in the back, and thinks Vash's idea of blank ticket is outragous. They fight a lot, argue all the time. Wolfwood thinks Vah is a naive human who hadn't lived long enough to see how horrible the world could be, whereas Vash thinks that Wolfwood hadn't given people enough chance to prove him otherwise.
That was a bit long winded and I had to hold back not to spill out everything XD
I'm so glad you enjoy the Role Swap AU! It has a special place in my heart and I'm happy more people are enjoying it!

Something I've been thinking about is a Role Swap type thing, but specifically with Violet McCormick (Self Insert OC) and Zanzo
Vandelay! Violet
Given Violet's age and skill set, I wouldn't put her in charge of Research and Development. Instead, she's the personal assistant to an OC department head - we'll call him Worcestershire "Chester" (if only because I mentioned the idea in a reblog tag).
Chester has extracurricular plans on Armstrong Day, so he leaves Violet in charge. ("The department practically runs itself," he says to an anxious Violet. "You'll be fine.")
As we know in canon, things would not be fine. Cue a frazzled Violet throwing everything in the Department at Chai to delay him in time for Security to arrive.
🟣She knows little about SPECTRA, even less than Korsica.
🟣 Violet at the office: "Here, take the pass key. I don't want to fight you."
🟣 If Violet had a boss fight, she'd be an evasive long-range and/or spam attacker. Who also self heals. Potentially annoying, but manageable. For a battle theme, my first thought was something New Wave (Girl U Want - DEVO?). Maybe it'd be better to stick with rock 🤷
🟣Chai invites Violet to the hideout, but she beats around the bush. ("I tried to kill you. It wouldn't be right.") Then Kale and Korsica arrive, so Violet flees with the Tea-m.
🟣Violet at the Hideout is similar to CNMN in that she can't be called in as a support, but she's part of the chatter.
🟣(Possible betrayal, though she REGRETS it)
🟣Violet quits her job at the end of Canon Events part of this AU - she's suffered enough stress for a lifetime. The reasons she stayed at Vandelay are twofold: money and guilt tripping.
Neutral! Zanzo
For whatever reason, Kale passes Zanzo over in favor of another as R&D head. I see him being an engineer at a less renown tech company. Walker & Wheelchair user like in my Pre-Vandelay Zanzo headcanons. He's saving up money to construct his own prosthetics. (The temptation to buy anime merch and video games is too strong at times.)

hello :3c all questions with the number 3 ( :3c ) in them, my good friend mis! :3c
Admittedlty, I started this. I shall accept my punishment with grace (💖).
Disclaimer here that there will be references to nsfw under the cut because I peddle smut. There's also a brief mention of vomit in a snippet I share.
3. Describe the creative process of writing a chapter/fic I write on my phone mainly, and I like to be curled up in a nest of some kind and comfy when I open up my Big Doc of Ideas and start typing. if it gets long enough (~1k words) I move it into its own doc. I reread constantly when I write, and often times I just sit and stare at a sentence until my brain clicks on. It also helps to bounce ideas off friends as I'm working, if I feel my steam running low. Otherwise I get into Da Zone and everything else disappear.
13. What’s a common writing tip that you almost always follow? Ah. Hm. I don't actually know many "common" tips. I find a lot of them not very useful, like "write every day" just leads to burnout. I suppose there's this: sometimes, when you write yourself into a corner and don't know how to continue, go back a little bit further and try a new direction. Still Stuck? When I don't want to write a scene I simply don't and move on. Sometimes you never have to go back. It's fine. It wasn't that important anyway.
23. Best writing advice for other writers? ARE THE TIPS NOT GOOD ENOUGH? Okay Fine. Write what you want. Write weird shit, write horny shit, write stuff that disgusts and uncomfortablises people. Write the stuff that interests you rather than what you think other people would like. I made a promise to myself when I stepped back into fandom, and that was that I wouldn't be ashamed of anything that I liked anymore, and it's been an absolute blast. (Coming back up here after a few questions) WAIT- When you don't know what to do, ask yourself, what would be sexiest? and go with that. Never fails.
30. Do you share rough drafts or do you wait until it’s all polished? I'm happy sharing rough drafts. I tend to edit as I go so the top of my docs always end up pretty polished as opposed to the endings... shhh. I don't tend to share much of rough drafts in public, though, some friends get basically the entire thing through screenshots, lol. I can't resist okay! I'm excited about what I'm writing! I can't keep it all inside!
31. Do you start with the characters or the plot when writing? Characters, definitely. Most of my stories are character-driven, and plot tends to happen around them, even aus are usually 'well what if they were brought up in THIS environment?' and whatever happens to them grows around what the consequences of their actions. I'm not very good at longfic and a lot of my fics are oneshot character studies so :Va Not that I'm saying I'm bad at what I do, plot is just not my priority! I Find characters, their relationships, and their personalities more fun to explore! (<- was raised on the Tales Of games)
32. Name three of your favorite fanfic writers. Fuck, okay. Well it probably doesn't surprise you that I make friends thru fanfic so I have a lot of writer friends and I don't LIKE to pick favs, simply because I don't think of them that way. That would be weird. Additionally, I only really read stuff my friends write nowadays ;w; I'll name the people who I've reached out to over completely losing my shit over their fics instead, in order of meeting them: Elcie/BurningLio, Bee/println0/slothencholy, Mango/MalevolentMango (and here, an honourary mention of Ailem for appearing alongside Mango though I hadn't read any of its fics until after we had become friends).
33. Five years from now, where do you see yourself as a writer? Sure. I don't see myself stopping any time soon.
34. Do you want to be published some day? (yes I swapped 33 and 34 by accident so sue me) Eeehhhh, as someone who writes mostly erotica I don't reaaaally see any of my stuff being published by any mainstream publishing houses. I certainly WANTED to when I was younger, and it would certainly be cool, but it's not something I am persuing or even have an interest in persuing.
35. What is one essential thing to remember when writing a villain?  They gotta be as hot as possible.
36. How do you write kissing scenes? Okay so disclaimer, I've been writing fanfic for a VERY long time. I was on the internet before I should have been. My parents didn't speak english very well, and stuff like google translate didn't even exist (rather, it did, but it wasn't very good). I was ten, and I asked Google sensei how to write kisses, and the first result took me to a yahoo questions page where the answer was something like, describe how they feel instead of the kiss itself. I then deleted my history because I was not a stupid child. I remember that advice to this day.
37. How do you choose where to end a chapter? I uh. Write oneshots. I end it where the story ends. Hope this helps :)
38. Would you ever write commissions? Yes but nothing too long. I've been meaning to open up writing commissions for literal years but I KEEP getting too sick to be able to dedicate the time it deserves to run commissions.
39. Share a snippet from a WIP Huff okay. This should be shiny and new for even you, Mango.
"Akechi-" "I'm fine," Akechi grits, spitting more acid onto the ground before he finally straightens and wipes a sleeve over his face. Akira doesn't even try to hide his expression when Akechi deigns to face them again. He states the fact plainly. "You're not fine." "Don't try to tell me what I am or not," Akechi sneers in return. He's clutching at his stomach despite his nonchalance, and a grimace clings to the edges of his pissed off expression. Akira rolls his eyes. There's no point arguing with Akechi on a good day, never mind when he's defensive and scared of being benched. They don't exactly have a choice to keep Akechi in combat as there are only three of them, and Kasumi is completely new to this kind of palace exploration. He may not be Futaba, but he has the most experience in the Metaverse by far; he's observant, meticulous, and his ability to memorise the attributes of new shadows is impressive. Akechi really had been holding back on them in Sae's Casino, and Akira isn't stupid enough to let that kind of usefulness go to waste.
43. Do you take a sadistic joy in whumping your characters, or are you more the "If you hurt them I would kill everyone and then myself" kind of person? lmao. do i even need to answer this?
53. How do you spend your time when it comes to fanfiction? Are you primarily a fic reader, writer, or a perfect 50/50 split of both? I'm primarily a writer. I used to read a lot but I have a hard time reading anything nowadays. I need to be doing something or else I'll EXPLODE. KABOOM. No more mis. splat like watermelon.
63. Something you hate to see in smut. I hate it when the author takes their time to write 'btw this is pure good non fetishistic sex' through the characters. It's ridiculous. I'm here for a good time not to get lectured on what safe sex is. If the reader needs to be told what consent is, I'd argue that they aren't old enough to be reading it.
73. What do you think makes your writing stand out from other works? Brother I do not know. I kind of fly by the seat of my pants. Lich Rally Just Vibin.

So, A Wound Left Bleeding is still, very much so, in progress, but since I'm still a bit iffy on if there'll be a part 3, or if maybe I'll just do more shorts here and there after part 2 instead or what have you, (I got no idea for sure since that's so far in the future and all) How about some ideas for other FNaF AU's I may write, or at the very least, draw and toss ideas around for after part 2 of AWLB wraps up? After all, I've always been a creature who adores AU's, and tends to make a bunch for any fandom thing that catches my eye, and upon returning to FNaF after years of putting it aside, it has absolutely captured my interest again and got the old AU machine going! So below, I'll be leaving the (Right now, pretty loose basic ideas) of AU's I've thought of for after AWLB part 2 is finished. Again, they're pretty loose ideas right now, don't wanna devote too much attention to em yet and derail my trains of thought with AWLB. XD; So things will very likely change once it's time for these AU's to potentially take the spotlight. In no particular order we have~
Species Swap AU: I've currently got no idea what to title this one, so it's just keeping the placeholder name there until I figure it out, the bare bones basic idea for this one is simple: Most of the animatronic characters are human here, and most of the humans are animatronics. I foresee this one still having some angst and serious/heavier moments/themes in it, but generally being a more lighthearted AU than AWLB. General Summary: Roommates Freddy, Chica, Bonnie and Foxy currently work at a large arcade, or rather, its more like an indoor amusement part, owned and operated by William Afton; it seemed like your run of the mill center for mindless entertainment at first, but things changed when he introduced a new aspect to the place: Animatronics. At a glance nothing seemed too out of the ordinary, they had quite astonishing AI sure, but what else would one expect from someone who owns such a renowned robotics company; but still, there's just a nagging feeling that something isn't quite right about these machines. After Freddy finds himself impulsively stealing one of them that's been spending a lot of time around him while he's at work, several of the other animatronics begin to mysteriously go missing as well, something William Afton is more than a little unhappy with. Fearful of being caught red handed with the animtronic he stole, Freddy and the other's do their best to unravel the mystery of what's going on with these animatronics in the first place, and where they've all gone, while trying to keep Freddy's new mechanical pal, Gregory, just out of William's reach as well.
Sentimental Nightmares (placeholder title): This one, I'm not sure I could make a whole long fic out of, but it's an idea I still think would be fun to play around with, it's an off-shoot “What if” to AWLB General Summary: Plushtrap and the other Nightmares seldom understand what a human is, or how it's any different from them; there's obviously something different about their playmate, but understanding what that is is a different story. One thing's for certain, they've begun to piece together that their games are far from fun for Michael, and generally speaking, something is terribly wrong with the boy, and their creator is doing a terrible job of fixing him to ensure he won't break down and end their games forever. Perhaps if Mr. Afton can't repair him, they need to take matters into their own horribly twisted metallic claws, and try and figure out what makes a human different, and how you put them back together when they fall apart.
What's Left (Potentially a placeholder title): This one I think is the one I came up with first (after AWLB of course), so let's just get into it. Definitely not a more lighthearted one. General Summary: After Charlie's sudden and violent death, Henry loses the will to live, and soon after, takes his own life, via one of his own creations, a springlock suit. However, death wasn't the end for him or Charlie, their souls trapped and warped within their new metallic hosts, Charlie is hellbent on seeking revenge for herself, while Henry's soul wanders aimlessly, in an attempt to find his lost daughter and son again. Many years later, Sammy Emily is determined to find a way to free the souls of his family from their would be eternal prisons and torment, but the only person who may even be able to begin to understand how all this happened in the first place, is his father's old business partner and friend, William Afton. Sammy is more than aware of how untrustworthy the man is, but he has few options, cooperating with William is his best bet. William on the other hand, seeking immortality, and seeing potential in reaching it by binding souls to machines, is convinced that there must be a way to replicate what happened to Charlie and Henry in a way that won't cost you your mind, and he's more than willing to sacrifice everyone in order to find the key to it all; better to use others as guinea pigs first and only do it on yourself once you know the right way to do it for sure, right? But getting close enough to Henry and Charlie himself to try and learn the secrets of their eternal lives is easier said than done for William, best to keep Sammy in one piece until he gets what he wants from them... That doesn't mean he has to do the same for others at his disposal however...
Spirits AU (placeholder title): The newest of the ideas! Hit me at random during my lunch break lol. So not a whole lot on this one yet for sure, and definitely gonna need to iron things out more, but! General idea! General Summary: Long ago, the world was inhabited by an abundance of powerful spirits, some were playful, others dangerous, but all of them preferred to take on the appearances of humanoid animals, they were quite commonplace, and generally seen as a welcome sight; as time marched on and belief in them waned, they vanished, buried into the likes of folklore and fairytales, though some stories say they still appear at times to children, or to those in need. Sometimes, just to those who they're curious about. In the modern day, stories of sightings of them are chocked up to little more than children with wild imaginations, but the stories told by Charlie, Sammy, Michael, Elizabeth, Evan, Gregory and Cassie are growing a bit too detailed to brush aside. And those around them aren't all showing interest for the best reasons. Which one I play around with after AWLB really comes down to motivation, focus, and free time for myself, but! I still wanna know, which of the 4 are ya'll most curious about? :3
