Costume - Heathers Normal AU (Modern?)

“I hate you guys,” Veronica put her hands on her hips and sighed.

Duke covered her mouth with her hands, a burst of laughter threatening to escape as she looked away from the brunette.

Mac was grinning so widely at Veronica that it made her want to dig herself into the ground.

Chandler? Well, that bitch was laughing her ass off.

“Veronica, darling” She clutched her chest—gasping for air before laughing even harder. “H-H—Halloween is over, you can..” She wheezed out in between laughs. “..stop dressing like a nightmare now!”

“Oh haha, very funny Heather” Veronica rolled her eyes. “Go fuck yourself gently with a chainsaw,” She crossed her arms to her chest and looked away from the three of them.

“It looks good, Veronica!” Mac clapped her hands together. “You look nice,” She added.

That was it, that was the final straw for Duke.

“SHE'S A HOTDOG, HEATHER—” She started laughing uncontrollably. “S-S—She.. thought...that.. oh my god—” She threw her head back and laughed even more. “She thought we were going in costumes to Ram's party!”

Yep, It's official. Veronica no longer wants to be friends with Heather.

“I hate you guys,” The brunette groaned. How was she supposed to know clearly about anything? Heather, Heather and Heather were all vague about it.

“Just clean up nicely,” Chandler told her three days before today. “We have to be in costumes,” Duke told her the next day after. “Just follow what Heather and Heather said,” Mac literally told her before she arrived at where they were supposed to meet up.

“If it makes you feel better, I think you look hot—” Mac rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly, her cheeks turning a bit red at her words.

Chandler and Duke just laughed much more.

Wonderful. Veronica's life is wonderful.

Read Right to Left (Manga Format)

I have returned to watching demon slayer after a year and it came up while I was having a serious late night talk with my big sister. I was talking about the relationship between Michikatsu/Kokushibo and Yoriichi and it turns out we both see each other in Yoriichi's shoes and ourselves in Michikatsu's place. Definitely surprising, but really relieving to know that we both worry too much and we are not so far apart in skill as we believe.

This is technically the first piece of fanart I've ever made for the characters in Demon Slayer, I have made OCs before but I never drew an actual character from the story. For context this is mostly just a fun "what if" scenario with them meeting in the afterlife. I like to think Yoriichi's love would reawaken Michikatsu's humanity.

I've been thinking about how fanfic has become more mainstream in the last few years, and if that's affected how open us authors are about our fanfic hobby.

throwback tuesday to that time when i took one of the few large lecture hall classes i ever took in college, a class on pre-1500s English literature, and the professor (a balding man with a British accent who banned computers because, according to him, he once caught someone watching Shrek 2 on a laptop during the lecture and he was upset it wasn't Shrek 1) stopped in the middle of talking about Beowulf to a hundred students to ask ME SPECIFICALLY (in the back half of the room but not all the way at the back) if I was using my smartphone under the table, so I had to lift up my hands and show him that no, I was knitting because the class had a bunch of printouts so I didn't need to take notes but the man wouldn't let me play spider solitaire or scroll tumblr and I had to do SOMETHING with my hands, and he was like, "ah, weaving peace I see. it seems we have the peaceweaver in our class" and then just carried on with things

Ghost Hunting - Heathers Peaceful AU.

San Lorenzo Luis Hospital; 11:05 PM.

“I can't believe this,” Duke muttered under her breath.

“Ugh, this place smells like shit” Chandler pinched her nose. “Are you sure this place is actually haunted or did your boyfriend just make it up to fuck with us?” She raised an eyebrow at Veronica.

The brunette sighed, adjusting her grip on her flashlight. “JD wouldn’t lie about something like this to me,” She said.

“Bullshit,” Chandler replied. “Didn't he once swapped our homework assignments just to see if we'd notice?”

Veronica winced slightly, memories of that day flooding her mind again. “That was one time,” She defended. “And he apologized for it after, didn't he?”

“I still don't fucking like him, Sawyer” Chandler shot back. “And dragging us into this creepy hospital because he claimed it's haunted isn’t really doing him any favors.”

“Can we pleaseeee just get this over with?” Mac hugged herself, teeth chattering. “This place is seriously creeping me out,” She told them.

“It's literally just an old abandoned building, Heather” Duke replied with a roll of her eyes. “We've been through worse,”

“Yeah, those parties Chandler keeps dragging us to” Veronica responded. “At least this place doesn't have puke stains and bad music”

“Haha, very funny” Chandler crossed her arms to her chest. “I haven't forgotten that shit you pulled two months ago at Ram’s party, Veronica” She glared at the brunette for a moment before sighing in resignation. “You still owe us big time.”

“Yeah, I had to be on the end of Chandler's rage for three whole days after that” Duke added, shaking her head. “Not fun.”

“Trust me,” Veronica replied. “I'd know, she was on my ass for almost a week after”

Duke snorted.

“I'll never forgive you, Sawyer” Chandler spat.

“I'm sure you won't,” Veronica smirked back at her. “Okay— let's split up and cover more ground,” She shined her flashlight down the dim hallway they were in. “Chandler, you and Duke take the left wing while Mac and I will check out the right”

“Excuse me? Who died and made you leader?” Chandler asked.

“Do you want to get out here fast or not?” Veronica gave her a look. “Just go with the flow”

“Fine,” Chandler grumbled. “Come on, Duke— let’s find some ghosts or whatever” She dragged the other girl with her by the arm as they left.

“We meet back here in 20 minutes!” Veronica shouted after them, she watched them walk away before grabbing Mac's hand and leading them further down the hallway.

“I hope your boyfriend is just messing around with us,” Mac said. “Because I really can't stand being in this place more than I have to if his words turn out to be true, Veronica”

“We'll see, Mac” Veronica squeezed the other girl's hand reassuringly. “We'll see..” She trailed off.

Hopefully JD really was just messing with them..

something i've already posted about in the past but am thinking about again because of the conversations in this episode is that i still truly do not understand bells hells'(well, particularly ashton's) view on what is going to happen if the information about aeor gets sent out to the people of exandria. obviously, i'm not an average person living in that world and am instead a viewer of the media with fairly extensive knowledge of the lore, so i could definitely just be missing what the impact would actually be! but the insistence that it would be a world shattering revelation that completely turns everyone against the odds just... doesn't make sense to me?

unless ludinus has a way of editing the information he presents and can take away the context, which would basically make the "footage" even more strange, what they're going to be seeing is... the gods saving themselves from people with the active ability to murder them all and having a rather humanizing crisis of what they should do about it? i guess the working with the betrayer gods part could be considered the controversial aspect of it, but overall, considering everything else that was destroyed in the calamity, aeor really was the one instance that was closest to being "justified". i don't think anyone who cares enough about the gods for this to cause any sort of big disruption of faith would have as big of a problem with it as they are assuming, nor do i really think it's something that would cause mass revolts against the gods in people who aren't devout.

Hm... There's a couple but I'm really tired so I'll just talk about the graveyard.

It's literally right across the street of the Institution when you walk out of the door. Sometimes I hear music coming from it around 1am. Pretty sure it's the artists from the nearby art housing thing playing a prank. They do weird stuff.

In the canon in my mind I ignore all the deaths and revivals and retcons and pretend that Jason was the only one to die because every time they kill another batfam member off only to revive them later, it loses its meaning in general, but especially because it's kinda like a slap in the face for Jason's arc every time it happens, as well as for why his relationship with Bruce became so strained. Bruce's grief from losing Jason is one of the most defining arcs of his character. Going from Professional but Warm to Cold and Distant and almost Brutal, being closer to the 'No killing' line than ever, only to be pulled back into the light and forced to open up again when Tim came around.

It goes unsaid that it's defining for Jason, Red Hood, ect. How his views on the afterlife would've changed, how his value of self was affected and relationships strained, how there's likely gaps in his memory.

I hate that every time they do a cheap kill for shock value it completely overshadows the trauma and affect on these characters that was caused by Jason's murder, that deserves to be explored, and that I personally want to see them actually, properly reconcile and heal from.

I would say Damian is the only other member to actually die but it was during his childhood with the League, and I doubt it happened only once. There was a headcanon somewhere about how he had brown eyes but they turned green because of the Pit and the family didn't realise Damian had ever died until they found old baby pictures of him and saw the colour change. I personally really like that idea too. So essentially they didn't know until much later.

Anyway, that's the Batfam storyline headcanon in my mind.
