#I'm sorry if the translation is not correct

Note
So this ask is genuinely unreadable so forgive me if I struggle with the following translation. I will mention here that, while I can go looking for sources on a lot of what I'm about to say, that would take a lot of time and effort that my dyslexic ass does not want to do. Feel free to look it up yourself. I'm already taking more time than I need to with this. Sorry about that. Hope it's all good that I did this.
TW: politics, gun violence (including schools), and I'm sure you can tell the rest from the above ask.
First off, I am an American citizen, so you, gloomwalkers, can't claim that I don't know because I'm not from the US. I learned the way you did, I just took it upon myself to listen to someone other than right-wingers who have everything to gain from my ignorance and stupidity.
Point one: I believe you're trying to say that Elon did not do the Sieg Heil? And also that our previous leaders have done the same - which was not a Sieg Heil but was worse than what Elon did because it makes you look better. I must say that I have no idea as to the context of the other photos (I guess you only wanted to provide Elon's?) And I would go searching for it but I do not know where to start with that and I don't feel like it so we're going to leave those accusations untouched as I am not doing my proper research.
The second one, however, we are going to talk about. Elon, at the very least, did an act that looked close to a Sieg Heil and then attempted to scrub it from the internet, not address it directly, and agree with multiple posts about how we should not be labeling people as Nazis, while having supported things that have been labeled akin to Nazism for years.
So I'm sure we can make a guess here. Not to mention that your context literally supports the claim you're arguing against. I suppose I should thank you for that. Makes my life easier.
And just to mention the "But he has autism" claims - so do I. And y'know what I do when my autism creates a situation in which I accidentally respond in a very bigoted manner? I apologize. I acknowledge my mistake and carry that around with me so I don't make it again. I do not go online and get mad about the fact that people are calling me out on my bullshit. I understand that all autistic people are different, but we are not incapable of learning or self-reflection and implying that we are is infantilizing and ableist.
Point two: do you... do you think that's a good thing? Do you think it's good that we allow hatred that will very likely end in violence fester and grow until it seeps into our laws and comes out as the situation we're dealing with now? Are you kidding me? Hate speech kills people. You realize that, right? You're good with that? Okay.
But onto our proof otherwise. A lot of people have been jailed for words. I know this is an old one, but the Sedition Act of 1918 literally made it so you could be jailed for up to twenty years for so much as denouncing a war. Also, for a more recent example, Briana Boston is currently jailed for telling a healthcare company "Delay, Deny, Depose, you people are next." Despite there being no proof that she would've done anything.
There are others, however I can't remember them and don't feel like research as I mentioned earlier so. Sorry.
Point three: did you like... get worse? With the grammar? Are you good? Do you need a doctor? That was genuinely concerning to read. Anyway, I guess I'll stop being condescending and respond. I'm trans. Hi! It's nice to meet you. That means that I Know Things. For example, I know that I have never been pressured to be trans. I have, however, been pressured to be cis. Do you care as much about that? I've had teachers ignore my pronouns - I'd say that is pushing an agenda. I've had a teacher tell me - to my face - that I should not be allowed in bathroom or sports - is that not pushing an agenda? Do you care about those?
The only agenda people using my correct pronouns are pushing is something called basic human respect and decency. It's a wonderful concept that you should look into. One of my favorites.
You would be correct. I can't force people to use my correct name or pronouns. It's not practical. But I believe that you're missing the part where this isn't a disliked nickname - something that is harmful and if you think that disregarding someone's wishes isn't a bad thing then, once again, are you good? Because this is concerning. Have you heard of empathy? I urge you to look into the basic human respect and decency I mentioned earlier. But more than that, this is that other concept that you don't believe in. Hate speech. That thing that literally kills people.
"[N]ext part of this is [you] wanting tax payers to fund trans medical issues that are not life threatening[. That] is not our way[,] not because they [are] trans but because they have no right to my money."
So we shouldn't pay for yearly check ups. Or X-rays, if we aren't positive the person will die without it. Also ear infections and appointments from them - that probably won't kill anyone. Dentistry. No one needs mental health help - yeah, my res stay was life-saving but we can't be sure that's the case with everyone and we need to run it by you, specifically, before we can be. Obviously those surgeries that greatly increase quality of life are useless. Our tax money is not to help the American people! Obviously. (/S, if it wasn't clear.)
"[A]lso th[re's] proof [that] this has been forced on kids ie people under 18 which is[,] in fact[,] grounds to remove and sue a teacher for forcing their views on kids at school."
So... I notice that you didn't source this? I actually did look this up (not in great length, I will admit) and I found two of ten articles discussing this point. One of them was from the POV of a mother, and the other was from known transphobic site Transgender Trend from the POV of a fourteen year old. This supports everything that I have both heard and experienced during my time at ten different schools. Four of them being on the west coast, tyvm. This also lines up with what my friends from different schools in different areas have experienced.
I'm trans because I'm trans, not because my teacher forced me to shave my head and do man things. In fact, I was a very feminine child. And yet... I'm still trans. Interesting.
I'm also confused as to the 180. I thought, at the beginning, you were talking about medical procedures - something that is almost exclusively done when it is abundantly clear that it will vastly improve quality of life for the minor. And if we're talking about that, then we must talk about how some people have joint surgeries or brain surgeries "forced on them" so we should definitely ban the use in children for those. Some children get their ears pierced without their permission! We need to stop this madness!
Or maybe you only care about trans people. Maybe you're just transphobic. Would you care to admit to that? It would make this conversation much shorter.
Point four:
"[Y]ou clearly listen to USA media[. W,]ell d[id] you know that ABC[,] NBC, CNN[, and] MSNBC all paid out 100s of millions of dollars in just 3 lawsuits for openly [lying] about the story and people in it. ABC even had pay Trump 15 million for a lie they told about Trump. [S]o frankly trusting them is not really an option[. E]ven [] liberals have had to admit they [were] wrong[.]"
I didn't even have to quote this one. I just needed to rewrite it because I physically could not understand it without doing so. I don't like to judge or shame people for literacy, it does nothing but make people feel bad, and this is genuinely painful. There are free grammar checkers online. The grammar makes this feel like a troll.
Anyway, you realize that there are more news sites than these? Again, I don't know anything about this besides that the lawsuits existed at some point. I do, however, know that Fox News has had lawsuits of the same caliber.
On a different note, allow me to just put this right here (https://app.adfontesmedia.com/chart/interactive - imbed wasn't working) for all your validity and bias checking needs.
Point five: Are we being legit right now? My right to my body without having to go through a legislature is a right. My right to my body without having to go through you is a right. My right to my body not being used as a political ploy is a right. And before you say shit about religion: I'm not religious. Keep religion off of my body when I am not religious. Okay? I have a right to religious freedom and taking away my rights based on someone else's religion isn't religious freedom.
And for your gun control point: Please, I beg you, set foot in a school the day after a child brought a firearm in his backpack. Set foot in a school the day after a child has been murdered. Set foot in a school and know that that could be you. That's not even mentioning mass murders by firearm or murders by firearm or the amount of children who accidentally shoot themselves or others because people can't be bothered to lock up their firearms.
When I was in in-person school, I had at least one threat to my school each year from first grade onwards. I had teachers stand at the front of my class and tell us their plan for if someone broke in. I had them tell us to shove books in our backpacks to protect ourselves if it ever happened.
I had a person literally come to school with a firearm in his bag.
Please. Tell me why we need more of these. Tell me why you won't listen to the easiest solution to our biggest problem. Tell me why I had to go to school, scared out of my mind, day after day, because you wanted your rights so badly while denying us ours'.
It is my right to go to school and come home in the afternoon. If your right to owning a literal death machine is invaded because of that, then maybe you shouldn't have had it in the first place.
This is proven to work. This would work. And yet you people act like it would never work and so you just send us your thoughts and prayers while we get to sit in our schools and wonder if we won't come home that night because we all know that fence and those locks won't protect us.
You were nothing but disrespectful that entire ask. I am not OP and I cannot speak on that part of it, but I can say that I understand your takes. The picture really showed where they come from.
You think that you are the center of the universe. Everyone outside of Texas doesn't need to be acknowledged or known or respected.
Your love of the country does not negate the hate you just spewed. You say no hate and yet you sent this. You read this. You think this. You say no hate and yet you just spoke against so many people.
No hate doesn't dispute this. You realize that, right? You can't say no offense and have something not be offensive.
I hope this helped you understand the points. No hate.
Thank you for your time.
Howdy, let me start off with no hate for you just here trying to help clear up a few things it seems from your post you dont know which is normal since you no a US citizen. again just trying to help you understand not an attack just trying help. 1 on the whole nazi wave https://www.tumblr.com/busterballsblog/773398848248987648?source=share also post is not the full clip here https://youtu.be/5e5Dz2EvuOY?si=NPvB0sq5Qjk2NHDK these should help you better see the whole story and facts. 2 UK, CA, GR,FR all have hate speech as a legal thing in the USA its already been ruled by highest court and even liberal judges agreed no such thing as hate speech in this USA. where each of the nations i listed have jailed people based on their words some where even jokes on stage. but in USA we have the right to say anything but a DIRECT call to action. but just as we each have the right of free speech means all sides have a voice to say as they wish. something that very different our rights listed out in black and white cant be taken away by government for any reason where yours and UK, FR and GR can and have been in name of "Greater Good". in USA its about the 1 not the Greater Good when it comes to rights. 3 on whole trans topic here the the issue its illegal to force someone to talk a set way in the usa. just as your name is Erica you cant force people to call you that they can say HEY YOU or they can call you E all they want and no law is broken in the USA. next part of this is wanting tax payers to fund trans medical issues that are not life threatening is not our way not because they trans but because they have no right to my money. also their proof this has been forced on kids ie people under 18 which is in fact grounds to remove and sue a teacher for forcing their views on kids at school. 4 you clearly listen to USA media well do you know that ABC , NBC, CNN , MSNBC all paid out 100s of millions of dollars in just 3 lawsuits for openly lied about the story and people in it. ABC even had pay Trump 15 million for a lie they told about Trump. so frankly trusting them is not really an option even for liberals have had to admit they wrong. 5 you bring up removing of rights https://www.archives.gov/founding-docs/bill-of-rights-transcript please take a look at our rights and can you link abortions to any right you see listed. ( i am assuming this is right you talking about due to your words. mind you while your looking at our rights look at 2A and then notice how liberals seek to remove rights on guns. i use this as example of how the very view that the right seeks to take away rights is not based in any logic and in fact the left is seeking to remove a right openly. again i hope this helps you understand our system in a fair and balanced way. btw i been from quebec to toronto i will say being that im Texan i understand qubec people the best in CA i have a number of pals up their and yea. to give you idea why people like me love your snow is my city just got 3 inches of snow that all the snow we gotten since 2018 and my summers are 110 F or in the 40s C in the shade with 100% humidity. anyway hope this helps you understand better again no hate just trying to help and i will leave you with how Texans see the rest of north America LOL hope you enjoy the fun joke again no hate just trying help you smile. and if you have any question here or DM me is fine just trying share some help.
^^ I give you, the American education system
Look, I disagree with everything you are saying.
If you want to talk about taking rights away, I'll give you this. A lot of pregnant women have died recently because the hospitals are not able to perform abortions. Today, there was a school shooting in Nashville that killed a 17 year old and injured another. If abortions were legal, and you have gun laws in place that weren't written in the 17th century, many people would still be alive. This isn't opinion, this is fact.
Deaths in Canada caused by guns in 2023: less than 300
Deaths in USA caused by guns in 2023: over 43,000
There's honestly too much wrong with your entire message. I don't think I'm the right person to respond so I will leave it to everyone else.
Also, just so you are aware, your "map" did not make me laugh. It offends me. Canada is my home and I would much rather live here (with free healthcare, gun laws that weren't written over 200 years ago, the right for me to make a decision on my own body, and a place where my transgender friends are free to be who they are) than live in fucking texas.

para los que ya vieron el mas resiente video de influence arc de Alan Becker habrán notado que al final hubo una explosión. Creo que no ase falta decir quien va a volver muy probable mente (el archivo eliminado que aun no se su nombre)
For those who have already seen the most recent video of Influence Arc by Alan Becker, you may have noticed that at the end there was an explosion. I don’t think it’s necessary to say who is very likely to come back (the deleted file that I still don’t know the name of)
pero me pongo a pensar ¿será que así escapo Victim?
But I start to think, did Victim escape like this?
talvez Victim vio la oportunidad de escapar cuando la PC estaba apagada y escapo por el internad como lo hicieron TDL y TCO
Maybe Victim saw the opportunity to escape when the PC was turned off and escaped through the internet, like TDL and TCO did
o en un momento en que Alan no estaba usando la PC
Or at a moment when Alan wasn't using the PC

okay i put some thought into this
MALPRACTICE: Willingness and ability to break the law. Mostly a physical stat. How often to they break the law on a case by case basis. this is quantitative not qualitative. 13 and chase have both killed men on purpose, but kutner has set 3 different people on fire. INTELLIGENCE: Book smarts. Are you an A student or a B student. SOCIAL SKILLS: Ability to get along with others, ability to manipulate others, ability to make yourself be liked. CASE SOLVING: Different than raw intelligence. How many House MD Medical Mysteries do you solve. Let's call it creative brilliance. AMBITION: How likely are you to stab a dude to get ahead. CHUTZPAH: Taub's ability to score with 20 year olds. Kutner's ability to set people on fire and get away with it. Audacity. Doing wild shit and getting away with it. Taking big risks. EMOTIONS: How good are you at expressing your feelings and dealing with the feelings of others? Empathy is a part of this score but it's mostly a measure of how emotionally repressed are you.
#i'm sorry kutner's intelligence seems low. he's very smart. they're all very smart. but he's kinda ditzy#13's cautious nature also translates into weirdly low scores#half of chase's emotions score is based on how often he cries#btw the only correct malpractice score is a zero#btw btw the colors are exactly correct i won't take notes on this. taub's vibe IS purple. cameron IS red.#malpractice posting#house md#hatecrimes md

Vash and Wolfwood's infomations from an interview with Nightow (Trigun's author)
Vash's Profile Height: I haven't decided. But he's around 180 cm (5.9 ft) (5'11")
Name's origin : Stampede is a nickname/ street name. It means 'runaway cattle'.
Change in hair color: There is a reason. But I can't tell you yet.
Coat's weight: Not sure. It would be quite light so he can run and move in various ways.
Vision: Pretty good. His visual acuity is also good. Plus, his ability to make last-minute decisions in times of crisis and his reflexes to make the most out of close chances are what keep him alive. It's not like he has supernatural powers.
Living expenses: He also works as a bodyguard, etc... So I guess that's how he earns his daily money. It's stable and he doesn't use money wastefully.
How long it takes to get dressed: I haven't decided on that. Since he wears those clothes every day, wouldn't it be pretty fast?
Wolfwood's Profile
Height: Not sure. But he is a little taller than Vash. About 1 to 2 cm taller (about 1 inches).
Name's origin: It's a pun. Tortoise Matsumoto is the model, so the name came from Ulfuls. The D in his middle name stands for "ドコノクミノモン ジャワレスマキニシテシズメタロ カコラ"(Dokonokuminomon Jawaresu Makinishi Teshizu Metallo Kakora) (laughs) TL Note: I think what he meant is the "Wolf" in WW's name (ウルフウッド) came from Ulfuls (ウルフルズ) - a Japanese rock band (The aforementioned Tortoise Matsumoto is the vocalist of the band) as a reference. The middle name, D, is "Where (D)o you belong?" It is an abbreviation of "Dokono~" in English. Smoking amount per day: I don't know. Well, I was thinking he would smoke a lot. But cigarettes seem expensive, so he might be smoking with a toothpick/stick.
Clothing (light clothing): The reason for the simple clothes is because it's would be hard to draw him holding the cross otherwise. The cross alone can make him stand out.
Dialect (he speaks in the Kansai dialect in Japanese): Since they are in an English-speaking setting, he is not actually speaking the Kansai dialect. Please think of it as an accent expression.
Gun's name: Punisher. Are you punishing the enemy or yourself?
Gun's weight: I feel like it weighs over a hundred-something kgs (> 240lbs). He carries it well. He must have great balance to be able to wield/swing it.
The size of the gun: about 170 cm (5.6 ft) (5'7") on the long side?
How long it takes to rewrap the cloth after using the gun: Not sure. I guess he would have to pick up the cloth, rewrap it, and carefully fasten it with belts. In order to look cool, you have to work on the little things.

I did some deeper digging into the Hall of Yuanchen because you mentioned it being a real place and last time I tried to find some info I didn't find all-too much (but also I didn't spend so much time googling). Figured if not much information is provided in English, maybe it is time to search in Chinese
Long post, I went down a rabbit hole lol
TL;DR
Chinese astrology birth chart reading seems more complex than the western counterpart lol
The Hall of Yuanchen is most likely named after the Twelve Yuanchen deities
unclear weather Twelve Yuanchen and Bazi Yuanchen are the same thing
Twelve Yuanchen "belongs" to (the sixty) Taisui, which "belongs" to the Big Dipper Goddess
Sixty Taisui (deities) is a combination of the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches
Zodiac animals are associated with the earthly branches, maybe that's why Yin Tiger was working there
The long version under cut:
Mandatory disclaimer, while my ethnicity is Chinese, it is no where close to native level. I do rely to some extend on Google translate to provide me with pinyin and translation of some words I can't read. Occasionally I shoot my mom a voice memo to help me explain things lol. If any native speakers or well-versed in taoism can pitch in, and correct me, that would be greatly appreciated!
Everything underlined is a hyperlink for further reading.
Hall of Yuanchen in Chinese is 元辰殿 yuán chén diàn, as per the Chinese journal entry for Yin Tiger
元辰 - Yuanchen 殿 - Palace hall
So the next question is, who/what/where is Yuanchen, and this is where the results I'm getting is mixed, which I do attribute to my unfortunately limited Chinese skills and lack of knowledge about Daoism all together.
First I asked my mom, which didn't really wield useful results (sorry mom I love you)
She sent me the google translation of the Baidu article, I asked that I read it too but I need her to break it down to me like I'm five
in the 16 and 9 s memo she mentioned Person xx we both know IRL as an example, someone who is stubborn and cannot admit they are in the wrong, and that it doesn't mean anything good, and that the person doesn't get along with others. Basically what the copy paste google translation says lol
Her message after my "oh negative meaning" is her confirming it again lol.
Kinda doubting anyone would name a hall after something this negative, or maybe the word itself became a negative meaning over the years?
This is from the Baidu article: 元辰隶属于八字神煞,也叫大耗,其凶可想而知。 Google translation: Yuan Chen belongs to the eight-character evil spirit, also called Daxia, and its evil can be imagined.
I bolded words that may be of interest and yield better results. 八字神煞 八字 bāzì - Four Pillars of Destiny, means "eight characters" or "eight words" in Chinese, is a Chinese astrological concept that a person's destiny or fate can be divined by the two sexagenary cycle characters assigned to their birth year, month, day, and hour [from the Wikipedia article] 神煞 shén shà - evil spirit (神 meaning god/spirit/immortal and 煞 evil)
So the rough translation for 八字神煞 would be Four Pillars of Destiny Evil spirits, I was still not able to find much explanation in English, but here is one post that briefly explains what it.
Here is a post I found in Chinese explaining what role the evil spirit plays in Four Pillars of Destiny
The gist I got is that Four Pillars of Destiny Bazi is the Chinese astrology chart, and like any astrology chart reading there are good things and bad things and the Shensha are the bad things essentially.
Yuanchen is one of the "bad" spirits in the Bazi. Again, could not find any specific posts in English about Yuanchen, but there are quite few in Chinese about it. Here is one.
Going back to what my mom said, if you say someone is yuanchen, it's basically not a good thing and nice thing to say lol, and you can describe someone as yuanchen. It's good to remember that in Chinese, often times one character contains so many meanings.
I don't know if this means that this "evil" deity itself is ""evil"", or rather that this is just what it represents
*** *** ***
Next thing I found was on the following website:
「春節」在古代多稱為「元辰」、「元正」、「正旦」或「元旦」等,意思是一年的第一個早晨
Google translate: "Spring Festival" was often called "Yuanchen", "Yuanzheng", "Zhengdan" or "New Year's Day" in ancient times, which means the first morning of the year
*** *** ***
And lastly, I found out about I found 十二元辰 Shí'èryuánchén, translating to twelve Yuanchen.
from the Baidu article, rough translation and summary:
In charge of the month December
would be that the twelve Yuanchen are twelve Taoist Gods, also known as Twelve Moon Generals or Twelve Zodiac Signs
They are also related to the heavenly and earthly branches, so sometimes the twelve Yuanchen statues in temples are painted with Zodiac signs, but they are not in charge of the Zodiac signs
in addition to the twelve Yuanchen in December, there are also 60 Yuanchen in each year
Twelve Yuanchen belongs to the Tai Sui God
Bc it is all related to heavenly and earthly branches, the sixty Yuanchen are also related to the Zodiacs. The sixty Yuanchen are also not in charge of the zodiac signs however.
The names of the twelve Gods/generals are: 子 Zǐ、丑chǒu、寅yín、卯mǎo、辰chén、巳sì、午wǔ、未wèi、申shēn、酉yǒu、戌xū、亥hài
Named after the earthly branches.
In the game, we met Yin Tiger Chen Loong, Shen Monkey and Xu Dawg Dog. Each Zodiac has an earthly branch assigned to them, but this doesn't mean they are the twelve moon generals, those are two different things.
Are the ""evil spirit" Yuanchen from the Four Pillars of Destiny and the twelve yuanchen deities the same "person"?
Good question, not entirely sure LOL. From this Chinese post, it says: 十二八字神煞元辰,别名“十二月将”,道教神名,即十二相八字神煞元辰,乃配合十二地支排列。
They are calling Yuanchen the "Twelve - Four Pillars of Destiny - evil spirit - Yuanchen", they are Twelve Month General, name of Taoist Gods.
This is the only post I have found so far that is naming the twelve yuanchen and Bazi yuanchen in one sentence.
From your original post:
it is a hall dedicated to worship the Goddess of the Great Dipper and Sixty Taisui Deities.
This post I found explains the relation of Tai Sui God, Sixty deities and the Grand Dipper:
So yeah, I believe this is why Yin Tiger was working in the Hall of Yuanchen.
Trying to understand the zodiac animals in Black Myth Wukong
this post is pretty much me trying to gather much info on these four characters. due to their little screentime and limited backstory, this intrigues me immensely.
so how about we start from the beginning, what are the 12 Chinese zodiacs. (keep in mind I mostly take these info from Wikipedia and the game's Wiki page)
According to the common legend, The Jade Emperor's decree that the years on the calendar would be named for each animal in the order they reached him. To get there, the animals would have to cross a river to reach the heavenly gates. (another popular myth is that the Jade Emperor orders 12 animals for the race to be his guards) The first animal to win is Rat and the last is Pig.
interestingly, they are called Zodiac Deities in the game. but why only 4 zodiacs? what about the rest? that will be touched upon later on.
now let's talk about them one by one and working out their timeline within the game.
Shen Monkey is the first zodiac we met in chapter 1. He's simply shown as a drunkard with a simple and carefree attitude. However he's quite knowledgeable on brews and tonics to give to Destined One. He knew the other monkeys on Mount Huago and possibly aware of Destined One's reincarnations. After his descent to the mortal realm, he brought treasure troves with him and only spent his days drinking in a lush and lovely spot of the Bamboo Grove.
Xu Dog is the second zodiac from chapter 2 near the Sandgate Village entrance. He's a profession in medicinal arts. He's quite neurotic and anxious all the time. apparently after his descent, he became a regular dog to a Daoist who's known for creating an ancient formula for an immortality pill. unfortunately, the Daoist died from a furnace explosion. Xu Dog returned back to his normal form, pitying his owner and disappeared.
Chen Loong is the third zodiac from chapter 3. When first encountered him at Bitter Lake, Chen Loong will be hostile and attacks the Destined One. Upon his defeat, he begins lamenting of his fall from grace and cries of his wish to consume a Resurrection Pill from Xu Dog. Chen Loong has the most important lore of the zodiacs. after their descent, The Sacred Divinity (Erlang Shen) gifted him the Ruyi Scroll that leads to a secluded and tranquil retreat.
Yin Tiger is the last zodiac and we can only meet him in the Painted Realm village. he is a fierce and serious blacksmith. he used to do his craftsmanship in the Hall of Yuanchen (I've searched if this place existed in jttw but nothing shows up. however, it does existed in real life. it is a hall dedicated to worship the Goddess of the Great Dipper and Sixty Taisui Deities. if anyone is more acknowledge on this part, let me know cus I'm afraid i could be wrong).
One day, he was visited by Sun Wukong who requested him to make the monkey king a better armour. But Yin Tiger refused as the gold armour is already excellent.
what's interesting when l look at the Tiger zodiac elements, it fits perfectly for Yin Tiger. they were quite clever for this.
now finally let's lay out their lore timeline with some help from headcanons and speculations.
After the great race, the 12 animals became Deities that resided in the Celestial Court. some of them became close to Sun Wukong, referring to each other as brothers. After Wukong's imprisonment by Erlang Shen, the four Zodiac Deities were banished to the mortal realm. some time after, Erlang gifted Chen Loong the scroll for their safety. however, Chen Loong, Yin Tiger, Xu Dog and Shen Monkey decided to go on their separate ways and planned to reunite on an appointed day. only Yin Tiger stayed to guard the zodiac village. perhaps they knew about Destined One and wanted to help him out on his journey.
another speculation I have as to why Dragon, Dog, Monkey and Tiger are paired together cus only four of them are mainly associated with the Earthly Branch symbol. in fact, their first names are a reference to it.
these are only my personal headcanons for the zodiacs. it's also unsure what happened to the rest of the zodiacs. were they spared and still stayed in the Court or were they also banished? who knows what the game devs have in stored.
#black myth wukong#black myth rambling#kept me awake last night#but yeah I have been wondering wtf the yuanchen hall is too and didn't yield results#but the big dipper and sixtytaisui was a good pointer and massive help thanks!

BSD Official Guidebook Gongeroku - Uemura Yuto & Ono Kensho interview
※ As usual, I'm heavily relying on automatic translators for this, so if you notice any mistake, please feel free to bring it to my attention! I'll be posting the original text in reblogs.
Thank you for your hard work in recording seasons 4 and 5. The story has now come to an end, with the story left “to be continued”¹.
Uemura: In “Two Hours Later,” Atsushi (Nakajima) and Ryunosuke (Akutagawa) trust each other; the exchange “Just the two of us?” "Do we need more?” also occurs in episode 53, but this time Atsushi is smiling a little. He says “Let's go, Akutagawa”, and takes on the challenge. I think it was a very hopeful ending, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the relationship between the two will develop. Also, I'm curious about Akutagawa's outfit. He had something on his head… Ono: That's right. (Akutagawa) looked strong. It seems like he's regained his sense of self, so what will happen next? What are Akutagawa and Atsushi fighting against? I'm curious about it all. I felt like the 5th season ended on an interesting note.
The story ended with Atsushi and Akutagawa fighting together, but looking back at the first season, what do you think has changed about Atsushi and Akutagawa?
Ono: I think the biggest thing is that now they're able to have a conversation. Uemura: That's right. At first, the two of them couldn't have a conversation at all. Atsushi said “I don't understand you at all” (Episode 23). Ono: The relationship started out with each saying “this is what I think'”, not listening to what the other person had to say, and then fighting, so that's where the biggest change happened. I really felt this change during the conversation on the ship² at the end of Season 3 (Episode 37), where they say: “Don't kill anyone for six months. Then you will come to see the truth in its simplest form”. Uemura: Atsushi started out thinking “I can't survive like this”, but then he joined the Armed Detective Agency and found himself in a position to save people. In the process, he made various choices, thinking about what Dazai (Osamu) would do, and what his colleagues at the Armed Detective Agency would do. He was finally able to accept himself and think that maybe there was a meaning to his life. In particular, the movie Bungo Stray Dogs: DEAD APPLE and the conversation with the headmaster (episode 31 part 2) were major turning points for him. He was able to face his inner self. I think that it was through these experiences that he was eventually able to make that “promise” with Akutagawa. Ono: Akutagawa is always one step ahead of Atsushi. But Atsushi is grows up really fast, right? He is the main character after all (laughs). So I think that Atsushi is gradually beginning to see Akutagawa³. Uemura: That's right. I think Atsushi originally had a very narrow vision. But after going through various experiences, his vision has finally broadened. And I think he's now able to see Akutagawa clearly. If you have a narrow vision, you can't accept any way of thinking different from your own; but as your vision gradually broadens, you start to accept that there are other ways of thinking, too. I think that's why he was able to have a dialogue.
On the contrary, what do you think remains the same about Atsushi and Akutagawa?
Uemura: Atsushi has grown and become more confident, but he still panics when he hits a wall. I've been playing Atsushi for a long time, so I'd like him to be to take a decision more quickly, but Wakabayashi Kazuhiro (sound director) would tell me, “It's too early, not yet” “It's not time yet”. When you can see what's ahead, you just want to move forward, but Atsushi takes many detours and puts his full effort into each step. I think that's what makes Atsushi unique, so I always try to cherish it. Ono: One thing that remains unchanged about Akutagawa is that he is always aware of Atsushi. I think that the relationship between Akutagawa and Atsushi, with Dazai in the middle, has not changed at all, and Akutagawa is the one who is acutely aware of that. In Season 5, Akutagawa says that fighting alongside Atsushi is “a trial (that was given to him by Dazai)”, but even though he says that, the fact that he's also aware of Atsushi has not changed.
The “trust” between the two was evident in their deadly battle against Ochi Fukuchi (episodes 53 and 54).
Ono: When Akutagawa was wounded by Fukuchi Ouchi's Amenogozen, and he says "You fool, get out of here" as he lets Atsushi escape, in the original comic Akutagawa has a sad expression on his face. However, in the anime, he has a desperate expression during the fight. The difference is very striking. I felt like the expression in the anime was an expression that matched the visual flow. That left a strong impression on me.
Afterwards, Akutagawa, who has turned into a vampire, faces Atsushi at the airport (Episode 60).
Ono: By this time, Akutagawa had completely become a vampire. I was able to record the scene with Uemura-kun, but… Uemura: Ono-san seemed to have a hard time. Atsushi tries his best to talk to Akutagawa, saying “It's me, don't you recognize me?”, but he can't get the conversation going. When he called out “Akutagawa!”… Ono: “Shhhh”. Uemura: That was all. But there was a moment when he regained a little sense of self. Ono: That was the toughest one. I put a lot of thought into how to express it. Uemura: In that scene, Atsushi was hoping that he would regain his sense of self. I think that was a kind of dynamic that had never existed before.
Having performed for so long up to season 5, what does “Bungo Stray Dogs” mean to you two?
Ono: This is a project that I'm putting my life on the line for. Akutagawa also puts his life on the line, so I feel like that is something we have in common. I think there is something I can learn from Akutagawa's desperation and his approach in facing challenges. When Akutagawa first appeared in the first season, Wakabayashi-san told me: “He doesn't sound strong”. It's a statement I still recall. The recording of Akutagawa started from there, so I hope I have been able to improve on that now, and I would like to continue to do my best without letting my guard down. Uemura: After recording the scene with Atsushi and Akutagawa, Wakabayashi-san said: “It looks like both of them have a lot more to scream”⁴. Ono: Oh, did he say that? Uemura: That's right. I'm so grateful for receiving such words. “I want you to go even further”, isn't that what they meant? I feel that if Bungo Stray Dogs will continue from now on, I will have to do something even further than that. Ono: I see. I guess I'll have to give it my best as well. Uemura: Personally, I would like to see what happens to Atsushi in the future, so I'm looking forward to the next developments.
In the fifth season, Dazai refers to Atsushi and Akutagawa as “the soukoku of a new era”⁵. In season 5, there was a scene where the soukoku duo of Dazai and Nakahara Chuuya played an active role; do you think the two of you can lead a new era?
Ono: Uhm, neither Akutagawa nor Atsushi are as smart as Dazai (laughs). Uemura: Right. I would like to see more of Atsushi and Akutagawa joining forces… But Chuuya and Dazai are both still very active (laughs). Ono: Yes. Both of them are still amazing. I don't think Akutagawa and Atsushi can realistically compete. Well, let's try our best to achieve that goal. Uemura: As the story progresses, I think it would be great if the two of them could become a duo known as Soukoku. It's different Soukoku from Dazai-san and Chuuya, it's a Soukoku that is unique to the two of them.
¹ The 「未了」 of the episode 11 ending ² This bit confused me, but they are indeed using 「船」 ship. They're probably referring to how the scene was showed as flashback while Atsushi was on Fitzgerald's ocean liner. ³ 「それでだん だん敦にも、芥川が見てきたんだ なと思いますね。」 not sure about this one. Began to see Akutagawa in his own eyes? Began to see Akutagawa in himself? ⁴ 「まだまだ2 人とも叫べそうだな」 not sure about this one either 😔 Is it “it looks like both of them can scream even more”? ⁵ Unless I'm widely mistaken, this is a misattribution; Dazai says this in episode 24, not in season 5 (please correct me if I'm wrong). I don't remember Dazai saying anything similar in season 5.
#Nothing particularly interesting tbh but I wanted to check out what this was about.#Basically just made while taking breaks between one studying session and the other (╥﹏╥)#I'll be checking out Asagiri's words next...#atsushi nakajima#ryūnosuke akutagawa#sskk#shin soukoku#bsd#bungou stray dogs#mine#I am well aware that in theory the role of a translator is to *understand* what the text is saying–#and convey that meaning rather than do a literal translation#But I just can't do it! Whenever I'm rephrasing I'm always second guessing myself.#“Am I making them say stuff they didn't mean?” that's what I always wonder... So I always end up going for the most literal route 😭😭😭#I'm sorry but like. I wholly lack the confidence for saying that my interpretation of someone's words is the correct one.#And that would happen in any language...

lucy was mentioned in ona's interview for europa press! (full interview clip)
Q: "And also at Barça...there is competition with players like Lucy Bronze...how does it help you to compete with a player of her quality?" Ona: "Well, yes, at the end of the day I think that at Barça we have fullbacks...not only Lucy, but, at the end of the day, until now I have played on the...the left, so..." Reporter: "Well, now there is Fridolina..." Ona: "Exactly. I don't know where the sides are headed now. I'm always willing to play on whichever side, but like I said, I believe that competition, especially internal competition, brings out the best in you in training and on a daily basis to be able to compete at your best pace."

AT LONG LAST: the interview translations from the Baten Kaitos artbook are finally finished with conversations with composer Motoi Sakuraba and the Japanese voice cast. (If you haven't checked it out previously, this document also contains translations of interviews with illustrator Nakaba Higurashi, scriptwriter Masato Kato, and the producers & directors.)
For many, the interview with Sakuraba will be the highlight, but I personally found most memorable this spoilery bit below the cut from Kalas's Japanese voice actor Kousuke Toriumi, which explains precisely why he was chosen for the role:
In the middle of the story, there's a scene where you betray your comrades; your performance there must have been difficult, wasn't it? Toriumi: I didn't think it was particularly tough! I actually ended up enjoying that scene itself, and when I read it, I thought, "oh, wow, I betrayed them!! Yahoo!"
Congratulations, you absolute, perfectly-cast dick.

so anyway I really did start compiling a kinyarwanda/english dictionary/grammar guide out of all the random resources i've been hoarding on my phone (it doesn't have to be great, it just has to be better than searching multiple different files every time I'm looking for some obscure vocab or grammar detail) and one of these resources is some PDF uploaded to the internet archive and it's... not great. from the writing and contents it's clearly
old (my guess is mid-1900s. I don't remember colonial and post-colonial Rwandan history specifically enough to guess well here, but based on some of the typos, it was done on a typewriter and then scanned with OCR)
intended for missionaries (some examples of actual sentences in the "translate this" exercises include "I praise God because He saved me and He gave me peace and joy" and, I shit u not, "The blind man cannot see the Word of God, but he can hear and he can know the love of Jesus." it's. well for one thing this is basically useless vocabulary for me, and also it's cringe af)
written by someone who was not a linguist (at one point instead of just saying "if T is preceded by an unvoiced consonant, it turns into D" they give you a list of every unvoiced consonant and then recommend that you invent a mnemonic phrase to memorise the list?! why?)
written by someone who was shit with pronunciation (legit so many places where they're like "there's no way to describe how this sounds, you just have to ask someone to make the sound for you" my good bitch the phoneme might not be in english but I could describe it just fine. skill issue.)
but the thing that's really killing me about all this is that every time they try to explain tonal vowels or phonemes that aren't in english, they tell you to "ask an African to say it for you."
an. an what now? an African? babe there are approximately 1.5 billion people in Africa. Africa accounts for about 20% of the land on earth, it's the second-biggest continent, and it has an estimated two thousand living languages spoken throughout the continent.
and kinyarwanda? it has maybe 15-25 million native speakers, depending on which source I trust. it's spoken (almost*) exclusively in rwanda, which is the 9th smallest country in Africa--and that roundup includes islands off the coast of the continent. It has the second densest population in Africa but it still only has like 13 million people in it. and it's a very unique language. its closest relatives do not have the same phonemes that kinyarwanda has, and its closest relatives are also spoken by relatively few people. I don't know enough about kirundi to say much but I do know that it doesn't have the same vowel tones in all instances and it doesn't have some of the same consonant clusters. and the more widely spoken related languages that you're more likely to stumble on someone who knows how to speak? they're even worse for a reference; ask someone who speaks kiswahili to pronounce kinyarwanda for you and they will not pronounce the difference between, say, umuceri (rice) and umucyeri (berry), or the tonal difference between words like umusambi (floor mat) and umusambi (crested crane).
so, like. it's just absolutely sending me, this random white lady who was obviously a colonialist missionary, bothering to make a whole language guide to teach me how to proselytise in kinyarwanda, but along the way she's like "just ask an african--any african--how to say this" lady less than 1% of them are going to know this language but go off i guess
*almost because there's the diaspora of rwandan expats and immigrants in other countries plus the banyamulenge which is a whole aspect of it that has so much fraught history on all sides that I won't even try to say something intelligent about it, it's totally not my place/something i'm educated enough about, but to my knowledge most of them speak dialects that are more or less dissimilar to kinyarwanda; kinyamulenge and kinyabwisha are not the same as kinyarwanda. take it from my munyamulenge coworker who could never pronounce the difference between c and cy
#i meant to write a snappy salty thing but i kind of just got going#like. i am scavenging this because it's one of the few things I can find that includes verb tenses charted out#and past tense suffixes are a bitch#but it's also like. i do not trust it. anything i don't personally know already goes in a file to be fact checked#legit this thing tried to tell me that 'komera' is a phrase you use to say 'excuse me' if you cause harm or witness harm#like if you see someone have an accident I guess?#newsflash that is NOT what it's used for we have words for that we have mbabarira and ihangane i just like#look if any rwandan is on here and wants to correct me please do but i cannot imagine any scenario in which komera means excuse me#imagine you knock someone over and instead of saying any variety of sorry or excuse me or oh yikes i hope you're okay you say 'tough it out#like i know 'tough it out' is not a literal translation of komera but it's contextually a good translation in certain circumstances#not all obv but whatever#anyway this is. i wish anyone in my household also spoke this language bc i'm dying over how absurd this stupid reference is#kinyarwanda#languages#we'll see how long before I realise that there's a reason it took samuel johnson that long to write a dictionary#granted he didn't have ctrl+c/ctrl+v on his side sooooo i have that#tw colonisers#i guess idk if those phrases from the book are like triggering to anyone but they put a sour taste in my mouth at least so

[Video description: Video about English words that have unclear meanings to Japanese people. It's framed as a conversation between two people.
Person 1: "So in English you'd call a person from Japan "Japanese," right?
Person 2: Yeah.
Person 1: So, in English a person from Sweden is "Swedenese?"
Person 2: Mm, no, in English a person from Sweden is "Swedish."
Person 1: Ah! So, in English a person from Canada is "Canadish?"
Person 2: No, in English a person from Canada is "Canadian."
Person 1: Ahh! So, in English a person from New Zealand is "New Zealandian?"
Person 2: No, in English a person from New Zealand is a "New Zealander."
Person 1: Ah, so then in English a person from Thailand is a "Thailander"?
Person 2: No, in English a person from Thailand is "Thai."
Person 1: Ah, so in English a person from Holland, or the Netherlands, is "Nether?"
Person 2: Mm, no, in English a person from the Netherlands is "Dutch." The two then repeat the word "Dutch. Dutch? Dutch." at each other, the first person incredulously, the second person shrugging and otherwise using body language to affirm the absurdity of the situation. At the end, Person 1 is making direct eye contact with the camera as he says again "Dutch??" End description.]
#english is a fake language we made it all up i'm so sorry to everyone learning it#video#i did my best with the video title but I am very rusty so if someone has a better translation please correct me!
