Hi. Please finish werewolf Haurchefant. I beg of you.
I definitely will! I certainly appreciate your interest. ❤️
I just tend to put aside self indulgent, shippy fic until I have less work to do. So it'll probably be a moment until I work on that one again. I have plenty of Gerchefant fic like that, tbh. Lots of smutty WiPs lol

As a close friend of Chinomiko, how does your conversations go when it’s about mcl new gen, I’m pretty curious 🤭🤭 Because she probably can’t you stuff, so when you talk about your theories about each episode, she just sits and listens? heheh I wouldn’t be able to be her friend, I would probably beg her to spoil me!!
Ahah funny you say that because it's kinda the opposite, she knows I don't want to be spoiled in any way when it comes to plot or illustrations so no I don't discuss theories with her at all, that's what the fandom is for. We have often worked side by side on our own things and I'm not even tempted to snoop, I want to enjoy the games.
Of course it would be disingenuous to say that we don't talk about the games at all. We chat a lot about the characters, their personalities, not only New Gen but all her characters and OCs (her elf thief Thael? You'll see, he's going to be my Lance 2.0 😭💕😭💕). We also read the same books and talk about romance in general, tropes, things that people like and don't like. I do bring a player perspective when we chat about possible themes, and of course not everyone has my tastes and I absolutely don't act as if I'm representing the whole fandom, but I've been playing for so long that I can give suggestions on things I know the majority of players would hate or like.
For example, people were super scared that one of the LIs could possibly cheat at some point in the game, and I know for sure this is never going to happen because we've talked about this kind of things a lot. She miiiight create drama and make the MC and players think this is happening, just because she likes to torture her characters (and us all), but it won't actually happen. So, I guess in a sense I do have a different perspective on things, just because I know her and her tastes and opinions.
About New Gen, I honestly know nothing about what's going to happen, other than the fact that we will have more personal interactions with Jason starting the next episode, and that the story in general is kinda light hearted, there isn't going to be any real drama or deep plot. We should see it more as a sitcom than a drama, if we compared it to a tv show. And that's pretty much it 🤔 I'm trying hard to think if there's anything else I know that you guys may not know by this point but I can't think of anything. I do know she's many episodes ahead, but this isn't a secret, it was said many times even when working on other games, that the Bees are always at least one year ahead of us, so everything we see was planned a while ago, they can't really incorporate current feedback.
Would you really ask to be spoiled anon? I know it's tempting but I want to be surprised while playing the game 😌 I need to slowly fall in love 💕
#also I don't ask but I do harass#cute harassment of course... about more hot Jason scenes 🤭🤭#mcl#my candy love#mcl new gen

park: pool party, pt. two ࿐ ࿔*:・゚ eli hewson
✧: part one
paring: eli x fem!oc
summary: surprise date with eli
a/n: a little follow-up blurb for eli's birthday!!
wc: 1.02k
*reblogs, notes, and feedback are greatly appreciated!!
The music gently plays through my headphones, one of my hands twirling my pencil as I look down at my textbook. My head feels dizzy with knowledge, causing me to look out the cafe window. The leaves were finally starting to change color, beautiful reds and oranges littering their crowns.
My phone gently vibrated on the cafe table's wooden surface. A little break would be alright. I pushed the headphones off my head, allowing them to rest around my neck before flipping over my phone. A sense of relief wafted over my body as I saw a text from Eli appear on my screen. It had been a couple of months since the two of us had finally confessed and started dating, and honestly, it had been the best months of my life. But, because of my busy University schedule and his touring, we hadn't been able to see each super often.
I slipped my pen into my textbook as I swiped the message open.
How's the studying going?
I quickly responded; It's fucking brutal. If I read another thing about dead white guys, I might burst into tears
I'm sorry, love. Hang in there. I believe in you xx
I smiled down at my phone. Even though such a simple encouragement came from him, it meant the world. I decided not to put my headphones back on and just enjoy the sound of the cafe around me; people chatting, the rustling of the baristas behind the counter, and the soft chime of a bell that went off every time someone entered the cafe.
The faint clicking of boots was added to the noise but soon stopped as they reached the other side of my small table. "Is this seat taken?" they said. I glanced up, but only for a second. "No, you're all good." I looked up again, trying to seem somewhat friendly, and that's when I realized it was my wonderful boyfriend. "Elijah!" I practically tackle him into a hug, his familiar smokey wooden scent filling my lungs. His arms wrapped tightly around me a smile spread across his lips.
"I thought you said you wouldn't be back until next week," I say, arms still wrapped around him, trying to convince myself that I wasn't in a dream.
He brushes some of my hair back, his smile widening, "Well... I might have lied so that I could surprise you. So surprise!"
"You are so fucking cute," I kiss him gently, a feeling of pressure being released in my body after not being able to be with him for so long.
He hums happily as I pull away, "Why don't you take a study break so we can have some fun?"
"That sounds grand!"
By the time I was shoving all my things into my bag, everyone in the cafe had their eyes on the two of us. A group of girls about my age, maybe younger whispering to each other with wide eyes. Honestly, they could stare all they wanted. I was just happy to be back with my boy.
"Here, let me take that," Eli said, taking my backpack from my hands and slipping it over one of his shoulders. "Such a gentleman," I kiss his cheek, my arm lacing around his as we walk out of the cafe. "So where are we going exactly?" My fingers laced between his, the cold metal of his rings pressing into my skin. "It's a surprise," he said with a cheeky smile. Laughing, I roll my eyes slightly. "You are your surprises."
Once the two of us reached Eli's car, he threw my stuff into the back, and we got in and drove to the undisclosed location. The windows were rolled down, allowing the cold fall air to whip my hair around and prickle my skin. Music was blasting, the two of us singing along at the top of our lungs. Eli always looked the most beautiful when he was like this; happy, cheeks turned pink from the cold air, eyes shining like they held the universe.
After driving for a little while, we finally reached a small park. It was dotted with people laid out on blankets or couples walking dogs together as they talked, their words forming clouds in front of them. Large trees were placed randomly, piles of leaves close by as they started to shed them as the colder months crept closer. The two of us exited the car, Eli's arm finding its natural place around my waist. "Do you remember this place? We used to come here all the time when we were kids." I nod, looking up at him and smiling. "Yeah! Ugh, we used to have so much fun." I take his hand into my own, our arms swinging as we walk down one of the various paths.
"I bet I can beat you to that tree," I say, pointing to a big oak tree a few meters away. He cocked his eyebrow, laughing, "Oh really?" he nudged my arm. "Yep! Okay, ready? Go!" I say in one big breath, my hand breaking away from his as I start to run. "You little-!" He yells out, chasing after me. Before I could reach the tree, Eli's arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me back and causing us to fall into a pile of leaves.
The two of us couldn't control our laughter. Laughing until we almost started crying. Once we settled, I shifted to get a better view of Eli. Leaves of red and yellow surrounded him, his cheeks still slightly flushed from the cold. I couldn't help but feel so in love at that moment. I moved some hair out of his face, allowing his shining eyes to become clearer.
"I love you," I smiled, my hand cupping his cold cheek. "I love you more," He leaned into my touch, eyes never wavering from mine. "I love you most," He chuckled gently, rolling his eyes before pulling me closer. "Oh shut up," He said before the two of us melted into the most perfect kiss.
We were drunk with love in a pile of leaves like nothing else mattered.

Writer Interview Game
Tagged by @gilded-glitter!! Kissing u
When did you start writing?
I remember getting pissed off about the writing choices in the Pokemon Anime when I was about 8 or 9, and I came to the realization that I could write my own story featuring my own Pokemon Trainer and handle the story the ✨right ✨ way (lol). From there I started filling up several dozen school composition notebooks until several years later I realized I could write on my ipod touch and save myself the trouble.
Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?
I'll read just about anything as long as it interests me, but I think the genre I enjoy least is sci-fi? I don't hate it, but it just doesn't have that strong enough of an appeal to me, though I do like when people get goofy with it (Doctor Who, some episodes of DS9, etc.) I love a good mystery/period piece though, and I while I enjoy writing it, whether or not I'm any good at it is another matter entirely. If there is a procedural detective show with a will-they-wont-they pair of leads, chances are I've seen it.
Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?
Oh jeez, well, I've never published fic before so I don't think I have ever been compared to anyone else, but an english teacher I had in high school once complimented me on have a "unique voice" in my writing, and I still think about it from time to time. As for writers I admire? Off the top of my head: Toni Morrison, Norman Maclean, Cormac McCarthy, and Tolkien.
Can you tell me a bit about your writing space? I write primarily on my phone, so I don't really have a dedicated space. I used Pages primarily but I kept running into issues with lag, so I recently switched over to Scrivener on my phone. As for where I write I either do so at my desk or in bed, or on long train rides. The good thing about writing on my phone is that if I have a sudden burst of inspiration and have the time, I can write almost anywhere.
What’s your most effective way to muster up a muse?
Music, especially with long train or car rides. Staring out the window at scenery with music often gets my imagination going. Long walks work too, especially if I'm on the treadmill at the gym and can zone out without worrying about walking into oncoming traffic lol. Other than that, ideas often come to me just as I am drifting off to sleep.
Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?
Found family, prophecies, newfound/hidden powers, finding purpose, feeling like an outsider. These don't really surprise me, I was always kind of a weird kid and am now a weird adult, with the pervasive feeling of "not belonging" a constant throughout my youth. This isn't to say I don't have friends and family that I love, and am certain love me back, but I've always been a little awkward in most social settings, regardless of the context.
What is your reason for writing?
I have a very active imagination that probably borders on maladaptive dreaming, but writing and art create a healthier outlet to channel that into.
Is there any specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating?
Basically anything vaguely positive or encouraging is enough to make me blush.
How do you want to be thought about by your readers?
Honestly I don't even know, I hope they think I'm moderately cool? I have never been perceived through the lens of my writing before, only my art.
What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
World building and character development!
How do you feel about your own writing?
Pretty shy, I am always mildly concerned that my stuff is too trope-y or whatever, and other times I re-read what I wrote and go "hey, that's pretty good!".
When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely for yourself, or a mix of both?
I would say 99% of what I write is my own OC stuff that I never plan to make public, so I'd say I write mostly for myself. That being said, I do think people would enjoy certain aspects of my OC stuff, it's just way too jumbled for anyone but myself to make any sense of it at this point in time.
Tagging whoever wants to join in on this!

I've seen many posts about people missing how common asks used to be so I have been trying to send about an ask a week. Now I send this ask first anytime I follow someone as I really don't want to bother anyone, so I'd love to know if you enjoy receiving asks and if so what kind of asks. Not having energy for asks or being comfortable with them is perfectly okay.
The categories I have in my ask notebook that I file under are in colour. Please feel free to make your response as long as you want or private (the asker cannot directly respond to private responses).
Self, Job/Work: please let me know what you are comfortable with from eh idk just ask it to nothing personal at all.
Baggishield/Tolkien, Dragon Age, Johnlock/Sherlock, ineffable spouses, other fandom: Please let me know what fandoms. I think my main fandoms and ships are Bagginshield/The Hobbit, Sherlock/Johnlock, Dragon Age Inquisition, {Pippin/Faramir Merry/Eowyn}/The Lord of the Rings and I dip my toes in a few that I currently can't remember but ships I don't engage with the canon of at all are: Good Omens but only for Crowley/Azirapheal, Stranger Things but only for Steve/Eddie , The Witcher but only for Geralt/Jaskier, and Ladybug and Cat Noir but only for Adrinette .
OC's, art/drawing, their writing, blog specific only
Story snippets ideas and prompts: Do you like receiving them?
Pets: I'd love to know all about them
Garden and Hobbies: What type of gardening and/or hobbies?
Like being tagged in things: If so what kinds of things?
*Asks are sent for fun, no pressure to answer.
Oh, hi! Thanks for the message! I honestly didn't know that asks are no longer as common as they used to be. I've never been a good candidate to receive them since I don't have so many followers (I always thought you needed at least 500 to get asks lol) and I'm not much of a creator. I usually just reblog stuff that makes me happy and occasionally (like once in three years) I share a fic I wrote here so I never had high hopes which is why I was very surprised when I received this ask and it made me so happy! Seriously, you're so cool for doing this, especially when people don't expect it at all. Even though it's through social media, it requires a bit of coming out of your personal bubble and putting yourself out there and I rarely do that in my life no matter how safe the space is. So it's really cool and thank you. I received probably like 2 asks aside from this one in my whole life, but yeah, I enjoy it a lot. ^^
As for what kind of asks...
Self, Job/Work: I'm good with sharing some stuff as long as it's not something that hits too close to home, but I would probably say that's the case. Asking about how I'm doing in general and what I do and what I enjoy about it is probably fine.
Fandoms: Asks about fandoms would most definitely be my favourite. I always enjoy ranting about stuff I love with other like-minded people. I love Bagginshield, The Hobbit, LOTR (Faramir especially), Ted Lasso (and particularly royjamie), Star Wars (obikin is very close to my heart), The Walking Dead (rickyl is the goat ship of that fandom for me), and probably my favourite otps are superbat (superman/batman) and spirk (kirk/spock) so I enjoy these fandoms too. Fandoms where I have no ships but I enjoy them all the same are Mass Effect (only the original trilogy) and The Witcher (the games, I only read two books so far sadly, I ship geraskier from the show but I don't like the show otherwise). All these things are something I enjoy talking about. ^^ I also like Johnlock/Sherlock and I played the Dragon Age trilogy (but I enjoyed Origins the most and aside from the Cullen romance and meeting Alistair and Morrigan in Inquisition, I didn't enjoy that game very much).
I write fanfics sometimes. I haven't written many and it usually takes me a lot of time to finish anything, but I enjoy it. I'm happy to talk about my writing any day even if it frustrates me to no end.
Story snippets ideas and prompts: Not sure about this. I think receiving them is nice, but I wouldn't be able to do anything about them aside from talking and speculating about them. I'm not very good at writing something from a prompt, so probably no story would come of it, but if it's only discussion people seek, then I'm happy to provide! And if it turns out to be very interesting, then I'm all for taking it further!
Pets: I have lots. I'm happy to talk about them any time.
Garden and Hobbies: Not much of a garden person, I'm afraid, but I enjoy nature more than anything. I live in a very Shire-like country, which is the best thing when I want to let my imagination roam. I enjoy running (but I started only recently so I'm rubbish), reading (fantasy and romance especially), learning French, playing video games, hiking, watching movies and tv shows, and I recently started to learn how to play the Irish tin whistle.
I like being tagged in things, sure! Something funny or heartwarming is usually the best, but I love posts with random facts which are super elaborate and interesting. It can't have anything to do with politics, though, tumblr is my escapist haven. :D
I think I answered everything to the best of my ability. Sorry that it's so long! Thank you again for sending the ask! I hope you have an amazing day!

Writerly Questionnaire Tag
Tagged by @cowboybrunch a long while back- sorry Sav that it's taken me so long to get to this!
About You
When did you start writing?
I've always sort of written- ever since I could write. It's just been one of those innate parts of me, that I can't really pinpoint exactly when it started. I've always had a catalogue of stories in my head, but it's only been recently (since 2020-ish) that I've made a conscious effort to set time aside and write. I've been writing novels/WIPS since I was a teenager, but always on/off. (It took me close to ten years to finish my first WIP because I wasn't very strict about writing time!)
Are the genres/themes you enjoy reading different from the ones you write?
I love Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Crime, Thrillers, etc as a reader, and I mostly write urban fantasy. That said, if someone gifts me a book, I will read it- regardless of genre- which has allowed me to read some amazing stuff (and equally terrible books!) that I wouldn't normally pick up.
Is there an author (or just a fellow writer!) you want to emulate, or one to whom you’re often compared?
I think my writing style is probably closest to Jacqueline Carey (or at least, who I like to think my writing is comparable to, but it could just be that she writes first person pov fantasy books, and that's where the similarity ends!) There are so many Writblrs on here who I am just in awe of and would happily sell my soul to have half as much talent as them @words-after-midnight @sarahlizziewrites @queen-tashie @cowboybrunch @surroundedbypearls... the list is exhaustive, and I can't just copy/paste my mutuals onto this, as otherwise, it'll probably be marked as spam!!
Can you tell me a little about your writing space(s)? (Room, coffee shop, desk, etc.)
I mostly write in my bed with my laptop, because I am a goblin. I do have a desk, but I don't really use it as it's a Work From Home space that was leftover from lockdown, and I don't want to associate fun-hobby with real-life-work-shit. So bed or sofa, mostly, curled under a blanket with a cup of tea.
What’s your most effective way to muster up some muse?
I stick in my headphones, listen to the music on my old MP3 player (honestly, it's so old guys, it has all the songs I've enjoyed since my first 128mps MP3 player- nothing gets deleted, just added.) and I go for a walk. I'm lucky to have a small loch/nature reserve near my house, so I walk through that, enjoying the surroundings while my brain soaks in the familiar music, and just resets my creative juices.
Did the place(s) you grew up in influence the people and places you write about?
I think so- I definitely have a dark sense of humour thanks to my job, but also just Scottish people in general. We're bleak for the most part- limited sunlight and a lot of rain will do that to a people. Memento Mori Part I is set mostly in an area of Glasgow that I'm familiar with. The canal that I used to cycle along on my way to work features quite heavily.
Are there any recurring themes in your writing, and if so, do they surprise you at all?
Found-family, building the life you want, trying to be a better person despite the odds, trying to do the right thing...I have noticed a pattern with the tropes that I add to all my characters, in addition to the trauma I give them. Therapy is expensive, and OCs are easy to come by!
Your Characters
Would you please tell me about your current favorite character? (Current WIP, past WIP, never used, etc.)
Mavis is my current favourite, mostly because I've been writing her story. She's more fun than my usual OCs, because she doesn't give a f*ck, and that's really liberating. Morgana is dear to my heart, but she carries a lot of my anxiety. Ylarae, my first proper OC from a book series that I started to write over twenty years ago (f*ck, I'm so old) will always be my favourite however; she took a lot of my childhood/teenaged angst and just rolled with it.
Which of your characters do you think you’d be friends with in real life?
Morgana, because we're so similar. We'd probably meet in a support group for generalised anxiety! But I'd *love* to be friends with Avery, because they're everything I'm not; carefree, exuberant and hedonistic!
Which of your characters would you dislike the most if you met them?
Caleb- he has a lot of my exes' personality traits (like I said, OCs are easier to come by than therapy!). My antagonists, I mostly try to humanise and try to understand their reasoning, but Caleb is just a c*nt. 👍
Tell me about the process of coming up with of one, all, or any of your characters.
My brain hallucinates them, and just makes them... They just appear. That's pretty much all there is to it. I don't know how it happens...it just does.
Do you notice any recurring themes/traits among your characters?
Lip biting; I didn't realise how much my OCs bite/chew their own lips. It's only when I re-read a first draft, I'm like "Again?! Really!". I add it a lot, apparently.
How do you picture them? (As real people you imagined, as models/actors who exist in real life, as imaginary artwork, as artwork you made or commissioned, anime style, etc.)
Because they just pop into my head, they appear as their own people, fully visualised by my imagination. I'd love to commission some art, but then I'd have to try to help someone else see the picture that I see in my head when I think of that character, and we all know, my descriptions are shit! But that said, I'd like to see what an artist would be able to come up with based on my ramblings! In a morbid curiosity kind of way!
Your Writing
What’s your reason for writing?
As previously stated- it's always been a bit of a thing. I just like to make up little stories and write them down.
Is there a specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating coming from your readers?
Tbh, any sort of attention is nice, and bonus points if it's something nice, or constructively critical. I'm aware that I;m not a *great* writer, but I'd like to get better. So a comment saying something went well, or could be improved upon by using x or y, is always appreciated. I'm my own worst critic, so having some outside perspective is reassuring but also terrifying!
How do you feel about your own writing? (Answer in whatever way you interpret this question.)
I swing between thinking I'm a genius at times, then feel guilty about being a narcissist! Whilst at the same time, cringing internally at how basic and lame my WIPs are. There is no middle ground- it's these two moods or nothing. Good/Bad, nothing in between, but seeing other people's posts, it seems to just be a writer thing, which is very reassuring to me.
If you were the last person on earth and knew your writing would never be read by another human, would you still write?
Probably- It would fill the time, and probably help me manage my anxiety about the lack of clean drinking water, food, antibiotics, the horror of watching everyone else I love die, the guilt of being the sole survivor....the crushing weight of reality...
When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely what you enjoy? If it’s a mix of the two, which holds the most influence?
I write for me, and me only. It's nice if other people enjoy it, but ultimately, I'm never going to be a published author, and I enjoy the freedom of just being able to write my silly little WIPs. I don't have the energy to keep myself happy, let alone other people!!

very kindly tagged by @cursedhaglette, thank you for giving me a chance to talk about my writing :)
1) How many works do you have on AO3?
11! :)
2) What’s your total AO3 word count?
lmfao. 985,659. That's nearly ten thesises (theses?) in the time of my PhD programme, so I'm going to just go quickly walk into the sea.
3) What fandoms do you write for?
the majority of my fic is for videogames with love interests and OC potential (BG3, Dragon Age) but I did briefly fall prey to the darklina disease, which I have to admit to here in order to answer some of the other questions
4) What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
1- Pieces Still Stuck in Your Teeth (bg3)
2- Party Favours (bg3)
3- A Bleeding Heart (bg3)
4- The Stars Don't Shine, They Burn (shadow and bone)
5- An Honest Lie (bg3)
5) Do you respond to comments?
as best as I can, I typically clear out a previous chapter just before I post something new (so that's one way to monitor or predict my posting activity lmfao)
6) What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Lmao. Sunblindness (shadow and bone) which takes an 'eye for an eye' approach to an amnesia AU. I actually wanted to end on a major character death but my pal's response was "jesus Emma, this is something people read for fun" so I watered it down :')))))
7) What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Party Favours currently!! Happier endings incoming, IMO.
8) Do you get hate on fics?
yes, occasionally, I'm still in single digits thankfully. i always find it so funny bc nobody is more critical of my fic than me. you think you can hurt me? babygirl, we're in the 5th dimension of insults in my brain, your surface level comment barely touches the sides.
9) Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
nope! call me the Astarion!spawn ending, the way I fade-to-black :')))))
10) Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I crossovered Stardust and Shadow and Bone, but it was not a straight crossover it was more a chewed up, swallowed, and digested version of both premises. I similarly wrote a Wintersmith/Shadow and Bone crossover that I never posted bc the sickness left me.
11) Have you ever had a fic stolen?
lol. lmfao, even. :)))))
12) Have you ever had a fic translated?
I have had requests made of me and given permission for that to happen, but I do not know if it was ever posted!
13) Have you ever co-written a fic before?
no, it's not for me unfortunately, I was that horrible kid in group projects who just wished she could work alone :')))))))))))
14) What’s your all time favorite ship?
honestly there are many but the two that are indelibly written on my soul are Howl/Sophie and Spike/Buffy like the simple bitch I am.
In terms of things I've written? zevran/surana, hands down.
15) What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Anything I post I will eventually finish, out of social anxiety alone. At the moment I'm worried about the stuff sitting unposted in gdocs.
16) What are your writing strengths?
hahahahahahaha i don't fucking know i think i can make character voices distinct so you can usually tell which POV I'm writing from once the perspectives are established?
I have been complimented on my dialogue.
I think I'm usually brave enough to take a risky decision, even if it doesn't pay off. These decisions also land more than they used to so it's a skill I've built with time and one I am proud of.
My jokes don't seem to just be for me anymore, I like it when other people say I made them laugh.
17) What are your writing weaknesses?
If there's something that can be said straightforwardly in a sentence, you know I'll say it in three paragraphs instead. I wouldn't be surprised if people think I'm a purple-prosed motherfucker.
Smut and lack thereof
the repeat of 'conversation, stage direction, eye contact, expression, repeat' is not a weakness but it is something I become intermittently self conscious of.
18) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I am a fan of it and I appreciate it when its done well (pour one out for Naomi Novik's fic/writing where the language work is cringingly poor), but not something I can personally do. Admirer in others, of the skills I lack.
19) First fandom you wrote for?
*dabs* Dragon Age, the OG. It was the pandemic, and I didn't want to replay Wicked Eyes Wicked Hearts bc I hate timed sections, so I wrote a fic instead.
20) Favorite fic you’ve written?
I feel bad writing this on the blog that's currently 99% BG3, but The Stars Don't Shine They Burn. It was my first time plotting something that diverged greatly from source material, and I was going through some stuff at the time that I can feel viscerally when I return to it and read the words. It is a work of personalised comfort. There's one scene in it that still gets me, every single time.
I don't know, it's funny to see Pieces get attention and I'm very, very proud of Pieces, but some of what I'm thinking through in that was in its proto-form in the other fic, which is finished and I'm really proud of it... so let's see if anything comes along to bop it off the top spot once I have a critical distance and am not in the writing trenches lol.
Tagging wise, I actually want to do an open call on this one!! this was a really pleasant exercise, so anyone seeing this who wants to talk about their writing or celebrate their achievements can take this as my personal invitation :)
scared? do it anyway x

¡Fic Writer Interview!
Thank you for the tag, @urmom-jokes-ceo!! ❤️ I got shit to do but I'll take a break for this 😂
How many works do you have on ao3? 7 that are published, 1 of them being a long-fic WIP, and a couple anonymous works that were published *for science*.
Your top five stories by kudos/likes? 1. "Five Years Time" | Tales of Arise 2. "How We Meet" | Final Fantasy 7/Advent Children 3. "Black Dog" | Final Fantasy 7/FF7 Before Crisis 4. "Yearling" | Final Fantasy 7/Advent Children 5. "Missed Connections" | Final Fantasy 7/Advent Children
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Hell yeah, I do. If someone took the time to write it, I absolutely take the time to reply to it. It's just good manners, no different from someone saying 'hi'/waving at you and you saying 'hi'/waving right back. Plus, it's just nice, especially if they congratulate you or say something sweet.
What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending? I don't do angsty endings. I write the soft stuff I want to read so I'm always aiming for closure and peace in my writing.
What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending? I'd say all of them. "Five Years Time" might have been my most 'And They Lived Happily Ever After' just because those characters deserved a beautiful ending after all the hardship.
Do you write crossovers? I don't mind them but I don't really write them either. I prefer dropping the dumbest references, like the material from one fandom will exist as a show or form of entertainment in another. My most favorite reference was dropping a 'Sailor Moon' inspired show in "Yearling" and all of my characters did silly character quizzes to find out which Senshi they were.
Have you ever received hate on a fic? I've been very lucky and have not (presently).
Do you write smut? if so, what kind? I do. I like soft stuff that's not so 'the male sticks his penis into the waiting vagina' Discovery Planet shit. Personally, I like to read more about the feeling and overall motion of what's going on more so than focusing on what body parts are being employed. To me, it's 100% about the feeling, but I have written EXTREMELY anonymous work for more explicit and honestly silly parody stuff that makes fun of the 'slip and slide' material I've read (that made me gag, choke, cover my mouth, or straight-up close the book). It's definitely a dance conveying the right feelings without it becoming gross (to each their own of course). I never want to yuck anyone else's yum.
Have you ever had a fic stolen? Unaware. I wouldn't be surprised if my fic has 'inspired' people to write similar material but I can't say that I've seen my work 'stolen' (yet).
Have you ever had a fic translated? Not that I know of.
Have you ever co-written a fic before? Lol, yes. Many times and it's super fun.
What's your all-time favorite ship? Oh man, I hate to be that person but my all-time favorite ships are my OCs. Sorry!
What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will? I strive to finish all of my WIPs. I'm hoping to finish my latest long fic by early next year.
What are your writing strengths? Aside from consistently finishing long fics, I really like to convey and explore the thought processes, feelings, and well-being of my characters. I think expressing inner feelings are so important in storytelling because they're not easily adapted in other mediums (TV, art, etc), quite like they are in writing/songwriting.
What are your writing weaknesses? Fandoms are easy because the world is so built out already that I don't have to describe much of that world again. THAT SAID, I try very hard to insert what things look like as a reminder, because when I write my own stuff, I constantly forget that people don't have a visual window into my worldbuilding unless I actually write it.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? Love it. Anything that makes me learn something new, like a turn of phrase or something I can look up later and crawl into a wormhole for, I love it.
What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to? Nothing really jumps out at me at the moment (probably because I'm so invested in my current WIP), but I've only ever felt compelled to write for a fandom when it was needed. Like if I really attached myself to a character whose story wasn't truly fleshed out would I then champ at the bit to create my own. That sort of thing.
What's your favorite fic you've written? My favorite fic will always be the one I'm working on. Writing is weaving to me and crafting the story of "Black Dog" has been insightful and something of a snapshot of my current and former self. Working on present pieces always reminds me of where I've been and how far I've come. It's what always motivates me to finish, too, and to see it through.
tagging: @monkeyfish2021 @bouncymouse and any fic writer moots I might have missed that want to participate!!

Writer Interview!
Tagged by @aintgonnatakethis 💙💙💙
About me
When did you start writing?
I mean. Of course I did writing projects in high school but as far as personal stuff (aka my fics) I was 20
Are there different genres or themes you enjoy reading other than the ones you write?
I mean, sure! I got nothing specific off the top of my head but considering my writing spectrum isn't spectacularly broad, I've been sure to have read something outside of my writing topics
Is there an author you want to emulate or are compared to often?
I've never been one to try to copy others. I admire a ton of y'all and wish I could do better at that in some aspects, but I'm not about to take the words off anyone else's paper so to speak
Can you tell me a little about your writing space?
Generally me, my laptop, on my bed. Some kind of music playing. Generally one of my fandom playlists and most commonly on the weekends
What's your most effective way to muster up a muse?
I honestly... do not have an answer for that. It's a delicate daydream most of the time I guess. My delicate I mean fleeting. I can lose the plot
Did the place(s) you grew up in influence the people and/or places you write
Well I mean technically my mother did get me into the show I wrote my first fic for but as far as where I've taken some of those? Gotta say no
Are there any reoccurring themes in your writing? If so, do they surprise you?
I am a sucker for h/c in any form (emotional, sickfic, injury, etc). Which I mean. Isn't an entire shocker, considering what I've been interested in television and story wise. It's not all my fics but it's around.
About My Characters
Would you please tell me about your current favourite character?
I don't know much about the characters that are consuming much of my brain right now so we won't get into that. So let's talk about Sara Sidle (and Nick Stokes). They have such a beautiful sibling dynamic (and there's a ton of shippers out there who are totally valid I see you). Anyway I've talked about Nick in detail (here). But Sara. She's far from my favourite character on the show but she is a character I've particularly enjoyed writing (especially with him). I have the same vibe with Chloe from Smallville. Very fun to write, not my fave to watch in the first half (and this rewatch I'm currently on hasn't helped)
Which of your characters would you be friends with in real life?
Welp I don't have ocs really so I'm gonna say Sam Carter. I'll join the shopping trips with her and Vala. (I got stuck on this one ok. But she is very sweet I love her we could be friends)
Which of your characters would you dislike the most if you met them?
Rodney McKay. More than likely.
Tell me about the process of coming up with characters.
Again, not an oc girly. But if I do add a side character to a story, it's always one that's connected to a canon character in some way (child, long lost friend, kid they mentored)
Do you notice any recurring traits/themes in your characters?
Nothing specific, no. I don't think so
How do you picture your characters?
My loves, my babies, my besties, my friends. I love these silly guys
About My Writing
What's your reason for writing?
It's a hobby, something I enjoy. I decided to start writing the random daydream csi fic one day and haven't turned back
Is there any specific comment or type of comment from readers that you find particularly motivating?
Honestly? Anything positive. Any joy y'all have in reading is joy I take into writing more. Especially with this long sga project I took on. Some days I'm like this is a massive hole I dug and then there's even a "great update" and I'm like thank you thank you thank you
How do want to be thought about by your readers?
I'm just trying my best out there, I hope people enjoy what I write. And I'm open to chatting do come by we can talk we can be friends!
What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
I think I never lose the essence of the character. I'll always take pride in my characterization skills
Have you been told your greatest strength as a writer by others?
I do remember a couple comments about good poignancy in particularly emotional moments. Which I will definitely take. I do love those scenes and the one in particular is one of my proudest
How do you feel about your own writing?
I love it. Some of it's bad, cringey even. But I am not immune to rereading and thoroughly enjoying my own work
If you were the last person on earth, would you still write?
It's a strong possibility. It'd be a way to keep entertained. And as I said. Will reread.
When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, do you write purely for yourself, or is it a mix of both?
I mean it's mostly me, I can't lie. But I have done a couple requests. I'm not actively seeking them but it's been fun when I have. But not to sound like a broken record, rereads! I stick to where I'm comfortable and what I'm comfortable putting out there from me for people to see
Tagging @sga-owns-my-soul @hearteyesmcgarrett @ilkkawhat @jencsi @malcolm-reeds-pineapple and any other writers! Do tell if you wish! Consider me your interviewer!
(PS sorry to snag this but there's a handy template for either mobile or desktop here at the end)

Hi sanity,, this is the same anon who asked to ship my OC and jtDM. Okay I need to apologise for asking about shipping. Julius is new to me yes I was unaware he's homosexual and taken Dx I love KillMaker now their ship is too perfect to ignore,, I HAVE to ship it >0< oh I took your suggestion,, looking into the jtdm and mwtsn Killian. Okay well HOLY SHIT I did not see that coming.. hmm...
...
.................
These things ~i don't want to type~ J + K does mixed,, with the intense detailed backstory parts I've been able to so far find on your blog...he is the best crp EVER. JtDM (K too) is beautiful also he's terrifying and a for real creeps. Julius deserves so much more love,, he's the most under rated under appreciated crp when he is the best crp O,w,O can I spam his blog please? TuT
Imma be real with you anon: I expected either no follow up or the exact opposite reaction lmao. Indeed, you have pleasantly surprised me! /Gen /pos
Thank you so much for the kind words about my creations, it genuinely means a lot. If you have yet to read Julius' pasta, though it's tongue in cheek and meant to be really cheesey-tropey, it's definitely a fun read. Even I like to reread it occasionally (and I usually hate everything I write and illustrate, for the matter). If you enjoy the fucked up horror aspects and want to read a book that has much more depth and detail, you can find where to get my book The Man with the Scarred Neck on my website (linked). And ofc, Julius is in it lol. Julius and Killian are my brain babies❤️❤️❤️
You're so right about Julius and Killian being perfect together, quite literally made for each other. As horrible as their actions are, they are just so cute together lol. I really appreciate you respecting Julius' orientation and the canon relationship (though I do not police fan content at all, many people write Julius x female reader stuff, honestly IDC, I don't have that energy and I'm just happy to see people enjoying my creations so much).
As for Julius' RP blog, @juliusthedressmaker (there are NO other RP accounts that are official, I've seen a few so I just wanna make it clear this is the only real/canon one), fuckin go for it. Just be prepared for answers that are not always the nicest, often quite whacky, and lately the fandom has been torturing Julius about feet. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 All I ask is to please try to keep any sexual type of asks pg-13. And please no Julius-dick questions, I constantly am asked about this, literally everyday, on both my blog and his. I ignore the asks but they are fucking exhausting. 💔 Julius is very interesting beyond his, let's say, visual appeal.

Tagged by the beloved @toads-treasures to talk about my writerly ways. :)
When did you start writing?
I've been writing for a very, very long time. I had so many spiral note books with drawings and little stories. I remember in first grade my friends and I wrote stories about us and our friends being superheroes. I was a writer and THE illustrator, and I still have the notebook where I drew all of us. Before that I would wander around recess just making up songs and after that I got way too involved in imaginary recess plot lines. My friends grew out of it, and I did not. So writing was the best option. It's harder now. It sounds dramatic, but I wonder if sometimes the burnout is too deep and it's all tainted. Other parts of me have healed since college, but this part still feels broken.
Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?
I think the things I read are pretty similar to what I like to write: romance, fantasy, horror, mystery. Though I do read a lot of Star Wars content, and I don't know I could ever write in that world. I love it SO much, but I'd be so afraid to forget something or mess it up. I'm not really interested in other scifi at the moment.
Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?
Emily Henry is one of my favorite authors right now. Her romances have all the fun stuff, but they also hit something deep in my heart. It's not just romance and fun tropes, there is something very human and personal there. I think Shirley Jackson's stories and incrdibly cool. The Magnus Archives altered by brain in a way that will not be undone. I can think of a lot of writers I'd be honored to get compared to from both published stories and fanfics.
Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?
My writing space is wherever the mood strikes. I feel the most free at my job when I have some free time and can zone out into my thoughts. We won't think too hard about that. At home, my desk is kind of cluttered, but there are things I love all around. My bookshelf is to my left if I ever need inspiration or guidance.
I like cramming words onto notebook pages and writing in different directions to throw off my perfectionist tendancies. It can't be that important if I am writing it sideways, right?
What’s your most effective way to muster up a muse?
One song. On repeat. As long as it takes. (Could be multiple, but usually one is THE muse)
Also talking to toad. I honestly work best with a partner.
Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?
When I realize my themes have been recurring I am usually surprised at first, but then it makes sense. While making OCs with toad I realized just how often I inflict oldest sibling disease on my characters. Lots of sibling dynamics. Loss and grief come up a lot but that's not really an accident. There are lots of things to lose and be haunted by. I very purposely try to put parts of myself I struggle with in my ocs I think it's important.
"And I think I was always writing for myself, to sort through my loss and worry and tangled ambitions. Even now, I think about how effortless it is to lose oneself in words, and yet also find who you are." -Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross
"Literature, for all of us, is a way that we rehearse life. And, of course, I don’t have that much life left. I’ve already experienced everything that one can experience. But kids who are ten years old, they have it all in front of them, and some of it is going to be very, very hard. When they read about people experiencing those hard things, they rehearse how they would react, feeling it without having to truly feel it yet. It serves a valid purpose for them." -Lois Lowry interview
What’s your reason for writing?
Fun.
See above quote.
Is there any specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating?
Seeing people get excited about my characters or the things I come up with makes me extremely happy. It doesn't matter if it's a keyboard smash or detailed list of things you liked. I don't forget kind words. I also like making toad use sobbing crying emojis in response to my ideas so that too.
How do you want to be thought about by your readers?
Very little. Think about the story or the character, pay no attention to the woman behind the curtain. Otherwise I'd say always kindly, but with the occassional fist shaken in my direction for angst.
What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
I'm really not sure. For a writer I sure haven't written much lately. I used to say my dialogue.
How do you feel about your own writing?
Depends on how much time has passed since I last read it. While I'm writing it? I hate it, my own words are so annoying. It's because I have read and thought about them a hundred times and the perfectionism really sours things. When I can seperate myself I think it can be really good. I mainly just wish I could finish it.

Rules Need To Be Followed
Hey, it's Kazumi and Riddle here to give you the rules we'd like you to follow on our account!
Of course, Kazumi. Anyone who can't follow these rules knows what's waiting for them.
Riddle dear, don't threaten people... But honestly these rules aren't that hard to follow so-
1. Riddle is a minor (17) and so am I. Any mildly suggestive things are okay (think kissing, flirting, etc), but nothing full on explicit/NSFW. Platonic relationships are definitely okay!! Any blogs that don't want to interact with minors should steer clear.
2. Please remember to be kind! Riddle is a person too, and he can get hurt. Any asks that I deem harmful will be deleted.
3. Any time me and Riddle talk together, I will be in blue and Riddle will be in white. When he is talking alone, he will also be in white. To add to that, I will most likely be speaking in the tags because I talk a lot (and so Riddle doesn't see my chatter). Please feel free to ignore this! I absolutely don't mind.
4. I use headcanons in my portrayal of Riddle; I try to be as canon compliant as possible with the knowledge that I have of him.
5. Absolutely no homophobia, racism, transphobia, etc. Regular DNI criteria applies here.
6. If Riddle doesn't respond to you, please don't feel too bad! He is a student and works hard to get perfect scores throughout all of the classes he takes, as well as participating in his club. It is not a surprise that he might lose track of time.
7. That being said, I am also a full-time high school student, and so it is likely that my replies will be fully messed up (read: I tend to procrastinate by doing fun things and then I have a week to catch up on all my schoolwork). Please be mindful of that and don't spam me and Riddle.
8. OCs? Absolutely! I love seeing your OCs. Make sure to send in a description of them either beforehand or in your starter (unless Riddle doesn't know your character at all, I guess - but it would still help to have a general overview). If there's nothing of the sort, I will automatically assume that your character and Riddle have never met. However, I am not comfortable with the first interaction with an OC being a romantic one, as it has become a problem before for me.
9. I can speak a little bit of Japanese (my parents are Japanese but I haven't actually tried to learn it well so it may be messy (though I'm working on it)) and I am learning Spanish (in school) so! I am willing to write replies using those languages as well as English (and I will automatically use honorifics like "-senpai" for upperclassmen so keep that in mind). Spanish I can't guarantee though because it kind of can suck (as well as Japanese).
10. I also love shipping and am not very selective (I love seeing rare pairs, and in general seeing how their ship would work out). So, feel free to do that too! Before they get into a relationship, though, they need to have at least some sort of interaction beforehand (because I want to get to know you too, and even if you're playing a canon character, I still want to do some regular stuff first) To add to that, I am a multishipper, so each relationship happens in its own verse.
11. OOC talks? I love them, but if you aren't talking directly to Riddle or something about him, then I'd redirect you to @kazumirambles which is my regular ol' talking blog (so I don't spam anyone).
12. Anons will always be treated platonically by Riddle (as he doesn't know you that much), but you are welcome to send all your love to him! He does enjoy having the attention. Also, if you want to be known with an emoji, you will be tagged as "kantokusei [emoji]" so there's also that!
13. Mun does not equal muse!! Riddle may say/do things that I would not do or that I don't condone. We do not share the same feelings or actions all the time.
And finally, remember to have fun!
Of course, and make sure to follow the Queen of Hearts' rules as well.
Yes, but don't let that hold you back (Riddle no I will at least loosely follow the rules I swear)

1, 2, 3, 5, and 18 for Dazai, Makima, Reo, Bachira and Yuno. :D Ooh, you're into Kakegurui too! :DD The same questions for Kirari and Yumeko.
hi aurora!! ty for asking! (sorry for a late reply, i was busy ><)
"Why do you like or dislike this character?"
dazai:
LITERALLY JUST THISCHJSJKSKSKD he's everywhere. every single time there's an anime guy with fluffy brown hair and brown eyes you just KNOW someone in the comments is gonna be like "omg he looks like dazai" no he doesn't.
also.. idk i just got tired of him. i did think he's funny when i first got into bsd (i was 13-14 so you didn't have to do much for me to think you're funny) but now everything about his behavior is so. ugh. it's like okay!! you're a walking red flag!! not in a fun way!!
i still think he's a well-written character though. just not my type.
makima: i can just say that i'm into dominant women honestly her design is so cool!! i have her plushie right next to me rn. she's staring into my soul. she's a really cool and well-written character and i don't know, there's just something about her that still makes you (me.) trust her even though you know she's the villain here. also i really love characters who do horrible, horrible things but they believe that there is no other way and they believe they're doing the right thing. something about her is also weirdly comforting to me but we're not gonna unpack that right now that moment in the manga when she said that denji can just rely on her and he doesn't have to do anything. that felt personal to me. also the fact that in the end she just needed a hug and needed someone to love her.. idk, it's probably cheesy, but i found it heartbreaking.
reo: HE'S JUST LIKE ME FR!!! it's pretty much impossible for me to talk about reo without oversharing stuff so i'm just gonna say that. well. i know what it's like to be a sheltered kid who doesn't even know what they want from life but when they finally start to realize what they probably want, they get hit with that "nah don't do that" and also his relationship with nagi is so... HHHHHHH been there. done that. know what it's like. i was literally going "BABY NO. NO DON'T DO THAT IT'S ONLY GONNA HURT YOU MORE" even though i do like this ship djdksks. anyway yeah his character is very realistic, it was so painful for me to read the part where nagi was like "nvm i need you actually" and he said that exactly when reo started to move on...
bachira: i actually didn't like him that much at first because i'm usually not a fan of characters who.. like. have this "weird and goofy" kind of personality, i just find them kinda exhausting, but bachira's character actually turned out to be much deeper than i expected and i find him very relatable as well. also most of the time he felt like the most normal character to me HSJSJKAKDK
yuno: SHE IS SO. *falls on the floor and starts sobbing* i'm not usually a fan of characters who are like.. very fun and cheerful on the outside, but they're actually suffering (and i have. so many ocs like that. ironic, isn't it) because most of the time it's either written kinda poorly, doesn't feel relatable, or the fandom just boils their character down to that one trait, but yuno's character felt very refreshing to me, because her t1 personality already felt kinda fake and even es mentioned that she doesn't have to pretend around them and when yuno really does stop pretending, like. it's so cool because at the same time she changed a lot, but you know that she actually hasn't changed at all and she's always been like that. there always were signs that yuno is actually colder (haha get it) than she acts so it isn't surprising for her to act this way in t2 and it doesn't feel too drastic. also her wanting to be seen as an adult and wanting people to stop coming up with sympathetic motives for her is so.. it's so good.
kirari: hmmm i actually don't really have a strong opinion about her! she's cool! but i like her design a lot! her hairstyle, her eyes, her iconic lipstick, she's so pretty!
yumeko: YUMEKO JABAMI THE WOMAN THAT YOU AREEEEE... the crush i had on this girl when i was younger was so. shsdjasksksk. i know i just said i don't really like "weird" characters but yumeko is so unhinged, it's so fun to watch! i really like kakegurui exactly because of how it just. lets women do wild things and be in the center of attention and all. i like how at the same time it's hinted that her character is much deeper than it seems, but also she just REALLY likes gambling!
"Favorite canon thing about this character?"
dazai: probably not really a "canon" thing but i think his bsd wan design is cute :3
makima: SHE'S SUCH A GOOD MANIPULATOR IT DRIVES ME INSANE /pos
reo: i'll just put this here.
bachira: HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS MOM IS SO. 🥹🥹🥹🥺🥺🥺🥺
yuno: her answers to the interrogation questions are always so funny like you just know the girl is gonna deliver. "can you speak other languages?" "i can't speak english!" <- written in english. "can you tell us about your family-" "I ALREADY TOLD YOU I DON'T HAVE A FATHER"
kirari: that one scene with her and sayaka falling from that tower has changed me as a person forever
yumeko: she takes gambling so seriously, it's both cute and terrifying jdkdksks her relationship with midari is so funny 😭😭
"Least favorite canon thing about this character?"
dazai: his. uh. his personality in general jskslals SORRY IF HE WAS REAL I WOULD'VE PUNCHED HIM IN THE FACE ALREADY
makima: hmm don't think i have one
reo: it's like. at the same time it's basically my fav canon thing but sometimes i'm like "dude. please let nagi go. i promise you're gonna be fine. he's gonna be fine. guys. guys please"
bachira: don't really have one! good for you king
yuno: m-maybe the abortion reveal was too early?.. it's like, at the same time it fits her character, but i really feel like it was a bit rushed. (well if it really is true and it doesn't turn out that her murder actually was different) also GIRL WHO SAYS "uhh yeah that's probably murder". PROBABLY???
kirari: at the same time i like her "way too powerful student council president" status, but sometimes it feels like. too extra for me jdkdlsls
yumeko: sometimes i forget that her main motivation is to play a game with kirari, but then i remember and kinda.. get disappointed.. like girl what about simply having fun and vibing. her character does NOT need a goal!! she's perfect WITHOUT any motivation!!
"What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?"
my brain goes empty when it comes to music I'M SORRYDJDKSDLDL
"How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire?"
dazai: not really "admire", but i think his dynamic with atsushi is cute.
makima: .. i don't remember her interacting with anyone except denji and some other characters HSJSKSLSL
reo: .. again DOES HE EVEN HAVE ANY IMPORTANT DYNAMICS WITH OTHER CHARACTERS. NOT COUNTING NAGI.
bachira: his relationship with nagi and isagi is neat :)
yuno: her relationship with kazui.. much to think about..
kirari: her relationship with sayaka! i don't ship them but i think their dynamic is really interesting.
yumeko: i'm going to say something controversial but. i think her dynamic with suzui is actually kinda cute?? again i don't ship them but it's. it's wholesome :)

stop holding back, talk about your oc
Anon you're playing a dangerous game telling me to talk about any of my ocs but especially ocs for the fandoms I'm currently obsessing over
So because most tf2 ocs are mostly just self inserts that don't play around with the whole joke of their characters designs (totally valid and I also do it), I wanted to play in the space and make someone that i could reasonably see ending up in tf2 in a different world, hence my anti violence hippy who somehow ended up as a merc using chemical weapons to kill people! Everything about this character is at its core an attempt at being funny that is probably only funny to me lol. The rest is under the read more cause it got long
Anyways meet the chemist! I imagine he's functionally sort of a cross between demoman and pyro, one weapon being a sort of delayed fire trap similar to demos stickybombs but instead of bombs they're aerosol gas weapon canisters that create a sort of poison cloud that gives damage if you run through it that adds up the longer you stay in a cloud. His second weapon is basically a recolor of pyros flamethrower except chemical/acid spray instead of fire, it has a certain time it gives damage for similar to afterburn. I haven't figured out what his meele weapon is yet, but I imagine he does have a two person taunt where he puts a flower in their gun
Backstory wise it's basically what I said before, he was just a weird hippy hitchhiking around, making and doing drugs, and getting suckered into newage spiritual cults. He found he was pretty skilled with a chemistry set and started playing around making highly illegal chemical weapons for fun and probably used them at some anti violence protests he was at, which eventually got him scouted by miss pauling to avoid legal charges by moving down to New Mexico and putting his skills to use. He thought he was being pulled into a new cult and just went along with it and was honestly pleasantly surprised to find out it wasnt another cult. Nice change of pace :)
Personality wise he's pretty chill. Susceptible to suggestion and 100% believes in aliens but isn't so into the whole new age stuff that it's apparent until you get to know him and he mentions off hand that he was abducted by aliens and told the secrets of the universe one night. Firmly against the idea that aliens built the pyramids or had any real role in human civilization until roswell because the aliens told him so. I imagine he talks like Bill and Ted. This is critical he may be anti violence but he has absolutely no moral problems about fucking people up and even killing them. His problem was doing it as a job but he was totally cool beating up assholes for free. He had a bit of a clash with his new job at first, but when told he could do his damn job or leave in a body bag he got over it pretty quick
When it comes to the other mercs, there's plenty of opportunity for chaos as always. I imagine he gets along well enough with engi and demo, talking about engineering and chemistry needed in all their jobs and just hanging out. I imagine a sort of running gag with scout where scout complains about his lack of game to chemist and chemist, who is a freak and a weirdo and looks like a wet rat, regales him with some story that somehow ends with him getting laid despite all odds and scout being angry/jeleous/confused/come on?? This guy?? About it. Spy hates him cause he's gross and weird and all to touchy Feely and constantly tries to get the group to be emotionally open. Smokes with sniper in the woods. Honestly kind of creeped out by medic I don't have a reason I just feel it in my bones it took a while for them to warm up to eachother. Running joke were soldier calls him a hippy and he just shrugs and agrees and makes soldier even madder
Anyways I'm not happy with my design for him yet but have this first draft design that I do like but doesn't feel like it fits the aesthetic of tf2 enough for me, the half visible emblem is based on chemical hazard information symbols and will also probably get reworked at some point

Ever after high AU info dump
Well with 39,1% the Ever after high au won the poll. It shouldn't surprise me as much as it did honestly.
While it's already a bit further than it's last concept it's not even close to being done, mainly due to me concentrating on other AUs. But to fill enough space and give you alot knowledge I give you an entire run down of what me and my friend, @ccaramel-candy have so far! I'm not exactly good with explaining what I want to say/ what ideas I have but I try my best.
Warning stuff:
One thing I want to get out of the bat is that the fairytales changed to make it more comfortable and less confusing. And so that everyone gets it and I don't get any complains: This is purely a Noco story. If you don't like the ship pls carry on!
Now with that out of the way let's get started:
description:
This Au plays like ever after high in a school for fairy tale children. But instead of following Snow whites daughter, we follow this Aus Sleeping beauty's child Noelle (Noah in this AU is Trans ftm and is refereed at the beginning as Noelle (She/ her) and later into the Story as Noah (He/ Him). Just so you don't get confused) and how she handles school in general. Sounds easy but it isn't when everytime someone annoys you with something, be it your potential future prince charming, your roommate who has yet another problem or the school erupts into chaos because someone is making a problem. And all Noelle wants is being left alone to read. And the school year has just started!!!
General Info:
-The main character here is Noah and Cody as sleeping beauty and their prince charming (So it's a Noco focused story)
-Pretty much everyone is from Total drama or has a connection to Total drama (like OCs) Tho there are still some thoughts and planning to be made
-While everyone has their own rooms and roommates in their dorms the rules that are binded to it are a bit.... well they aren't clear to anyone in school.
-the school has somewhat a mind of it's own. It's not clear however if someone used magic on it or if it was always "alive".
-while the conflict between royals and rebels was clearer in the original ever after high, it only starts to get a real story point later on in this AU. But the conflict does start at the beginning already but more of a sub plot!
-Fairytales are definetly rewritten from their original source material for various reasons, but there are also changes due to other characters actions!
Character Roles:
There aren't many yet which might be because I don't think of this AU as much as I should to give everyone a proper fairytale role but this is who I have so far:
Sleeping Beauty = Noelle/Noah
Prince charming = Cody
Belle = Edith (<- my OC)
Beast = Ezekiel
Cinderella = Mimi (<- @ccaramel-candy OC)
Red Riding Hood = Mike + his System
Evil Queen = Heather
Mad Hatter = Izzy
Littl Mermaid = Birdgette
Big bad wolf = Scott
Relationships:
The relationships with each other hopefully will be a big plotpoint how I intend to have it. This could also be confusing in some areas which either cause lack of context/ not much context or because I try to over explain this but I try my best!
Noelle:
While Noelle is the main protagonist, there aren't currently many relationships other than a few people. Not because I have no idea but because she wants to be left alone and read her books. However there are definetly 2 main people that are consistent:
-Cody the more overconfident prince charming, already setting his eyes on noelle as his destiny. He tries to get her to know her more so that later on their destiny doesn't come off as weird when cody has to kiss her awake.
-and Edith who is her current roommate, who brings a few problems pests pets to the table. Not exactly a thing allowed in school or the dorms but Noelle keeps quiet for her mainly cause it doesn't concern her (and a few petting sessions from time to time are actually nice).
Then there are also some minor ones, like Izzy who just wants her to join the crazy tea party's. Mike or rather specific Svetlana who drops by every 2 weeks to ask for a lipgloss both her and Edith share (Noelle is still confused why). Mimi also hangsout sometimes but more when Edith is with her. Then there is Owen. Defiantly somewhat friends but interact more in cooking class than exactly outside.
(I don't want to make this post all too long so I keep the relationship mainly to Noelle for now! I might make a seperate post for the rest I have)
Well that is all I have so far for this AU. I might plan a few things now that it is on my mind again but I hope you liked my ramble. See ya!

@dragonwithafez tagged me in a self-rec tag game, so i guess i gotta show off my own art here now
Rules: Share five of your own fanworks (fic, art, etc.). Then, tag five more people to share the things they've made.
we might be stretching the definition of "fanworks" here just a heads up
Something you absolutely adore
i still absolutely love how this picture of my two ocs turned out. i just think it looks nice. my boys look so happy <3 (they're from Turning to Savagery which I'm about to rec later on this post lol)
Something that was challenging to create
can my entire pokemon blog count? I drew literally every single pokemon, using the pokedex as a guide. this was honestly so tiring and i hated it a lot the time, but also im so happy i did it. it really forced me to practice drawing a lot of things i otherwise never would've even tried, and it also just got me into the habit of making art all the time, so during hiatuses i end up working on my own stuff a lot more. plus i really love getting the occasional note from someone excited to see that someone finally draw fanart of their favorite niche pokemon :)
i can't believe i've really drawn over a thousand pokemon at this point. what a weird accomplishment lol
Something that makes you laugh (or smile, if that fits more comfortably)
this picture of chip the beanie baby. it makes me smile because i love my irl chip beanie baby so much <3 also i've gotten some comments on it saying how much they love chip too and it makes me so happy! my precious boy deserves all the love in the world
Something that surprised you (in how it turned out, how much other people liked it, etc.)
uh...idk...the fact that out of all the pokemon, starmie's post was the one to get the most notes on my pokemon blog?? why do y'all like starmie so much
Something you want other people to see
please go read my warriorcats fanfic Turning to Savagery. I worked really hard on it. also i want more ppl to know who my blorbos are
okay, as always when i tag ppl, you can just ignore me if you don't wanna do this. i won't be offended i pinky promise. also you can do this anyway and say i tagged you. if you're reading this rn congrats you're officially tagged by me. show me your art, i demand it
@bougonia @henriediosa @nothing-is-relevent-but-it-is @ashestosparks @enderblogs-23
and last plug, but if you like my art and actually wanna keep up with it, i suggest following me on deviantart. or instagram i guess but i post less often on there. or just @pokemon-every-day if all you care about is my pokemon fanart. okay im done goodbye i love you
