hiii im sure you’ve answered this before but in regards to your twst x Pokémon, how do you choose which Pokémon go give to the cast?? really curious since your choices are unique :O

unique in a good way, I hope? 😅 (jk jk I haven't come across too many pokemon AUs, so I was going in without preconceptions, I guess!) I was sorta aiming somewhere between doing, like, a full AU with internal consistency and everything, and just picking entirely based on theme/character, so maybe that's why! basically I just set some arbitrary rules (no legendaries/no repeats/evo stages based on year) and then went on ~vibes~. a couple were also suggestions (thank you guys!) and last-minute decisions, so it was a bit of a delightful mess of ideas!

my one regret is that I should have given Riddle a Togedemaru after all. ...you know what, he can have one now, why not

that's pretty much what i was going for. i wanted to make him androgynous because i wrote him as a flowy hippie child that grew up listening to his dads acid rock. i wouldn't really call him nonbinary, but i always envision him not having that strong of an opinion on how people perceive him (which is why he's the wendy analog). also i just love gender apathetic characters and think they need more appreciation because they're the coolest.

anyway, exchange i thought was funny. mabel gave him the job because she liked his money before identity mindset (and she can pay him below minimum wage).

✨ Kross AU where soulmates share pain from injuries ✨

I’ve been thinking about some kind of a soulmate AU for these too (just for fun, nothing too complicated) and this concept was quite interesting so here it is. I also wanted to make it angsty but instead, it turned silly- I think it’s even better this way. This idea was sudden so there may be plot holes and inaccuracies.

So, Killer and Cross are soulmates and they’re linked by the pain they share (the one that comes from injuries, being hit etc. If any of them gets physically hurt, both of them feel it). Killer has a pretty high pain tolerance due to his experiences, trauma and general numbness, so he barely feels any pain and can easily ignore or not notice injuries on himself.

Cross on the other hand can feel everything clearly but he’d just learned to pretend like everything’s fine. He’s a soldier after all, he has to be strong for his people, friends and his soulmate that he’s bound to meet. He can’t show weakness no matter how unbearable sometimes the pain is. Though he can’t help but be concerned over how intense the pain is sometimes so he tries to avoid anything that might bring even more pain to his poor soulmate who suffers so frequently.

So, in conclusion, we have two idiots who hide their pain and can’t realize that they are soulmates because of that 🎉🎉 Mutual pining and idiots in love 🎉🎉

Book Texture Defaults

Fresh books for your sims to read 🤓

The image above is unedited in-game pictures so what you see is what you get. The textures are 512x512 and they use a tiny 64x64 specular map. I also fixed the scifi and the drama book appearing lighter than the other books (I missed it with my previous defaults).

There's also a separate replacement for those novel icons that appear when your sim starts writing a book:

Replacing the icons is optional, but novels written by sims use these same covers in any case. If you have another default for the plot icons, make sure that this cover icon replacement loads after it.
