Writing Family Web Daily: Day 20 (now caught up!)

“Is it bad?” Mikey asked, much quieter than before.

“You look like you walked out of a slasher film,” Leo stated. “I think Raph's panic is warranted. Do you feel any pain?”

“No?” Mikey said, making it sound more like a question than an answer. “My forehead is a little prickly but not hurting.”

“Same spots as before?” Leo asked, changing his focus there regardless.

“Yeah.”

Leo examined it closer. He didn't see anything, then again, his forehead was a little too heavily coated in blood to see much. He pushed at the spots lightly, shifting the skin a bit. A little fresh blood welled from it but couldn't pinpoint exactly where it had originated from.

“Alright, pretty sure i found where it's coming from but let’s get your face cleaned up to make sure, yeah?” Leo said, hiding a wince as he straightened up.

“Ok,” Mikey said even quieter. “Can I be put down now?”

Leo looked at Raph who shook his head, pulling Mikey back against his plastron.

“I'd love to, but I don't think Raph will agree right now,” Leo stated, leading Raph by the arm towards the bathroom. “Congratulations on your promotion to teddy bear for the time being. It's a temporary position, only until Raph stops panicking and I know exactly what's going on.”

“Are you sure that's a promotion?” Mikey asked.

“of course. What's better than being a teddy bear?”

“Says the turtle allowed to walk down the hallway on his own,” Mikey muttered.

“Enjoy your teddy bear status, damn it,” Leo shot back.

Good. good. Things were lightening up a bit. If everything went well, he might get Raph to stop panic-hugging Mikey before they got to the bathroom.

something that drives me insane on a relatively regular basis as a body jewelry understander is talking to people who have sensitive skin who are like "oh well I just can't wear any earrings without my ears getting inflamed" and I say "well what have you tried" and they say "well I've tried sterling silver and I've tried gold..." and it's like. ok. I don't know how gold and sterling somehow got spun by the jewelry industry as being especially good for sensitive skin but whenever I'm like "well have you tried implant grade titanium" they're always like "no....... but I've tried sterling silver... and it didn't work ..." like. I don't know how this narrative about sterling silver somehow got so strong but when they put pins in your fucking legs when you snap your leg in half are those pins made of sterling silver or are they made of implant grade titanium or surgical steel????????? HELLO. HI. YOU MIGHT BENEFIT FROM TRYING IMPLANT GRADE TITANIUM I AM JUST SAYING

Day 3: my favorite ranger color is blue. It packs a great punch and variety.

Day 4: is, of course, Robert RJ James.

Day 5: This one is the classic Kim & Billy, both on-screen and IRL. Unbeatable.

Day 6: Fran and Spencer share my heart. Actually,most of the allies during the Disney seasons were great. And the. There was Alex in Time Force who provided Wes with things that made him look cool so he could protect Jen,the woman Alex loved, knowing these weapons would make Wes look better in Jen's eyes... Alex was such a tragic character.

Day 7: My favorite villain is Astronema, specifically Red haired Astronema. She was so cool and looked so dangerous. She was awesome.

Book 2 au: sparring sessions and short hair katara

They like to have sparring sessions in order to keep their bending skills sharp. They allow themselves to go all out and not hold back at all cause they know if anyone got hurt, Katara could just heal them

But anyways, wouldn't it be kinda funny if Zuko accidentally burned Katara's hair tho? Aofkqldkkajfjd

I have a lot of thoughts about John Doe and fear

Everything from his secrets, to his anger, to his narration, to his more self-contained and tangible irrational childish fears. I have lots of thoughts about all of it. John Doe is terrified, All The Time

He lies and gets defensive when he's ashamed, he shouts and curses and gets verbally abusive and goes on villain monologues when he feels trapped, he gets spacey and lost in describing all the gruesome details when he's freaked out and overwhelmed, he narrates things to Arthur that he obviously already knows are happening when he panics, and he's scared of the dark. He also has trust issues, and sees any living being as a potential threat, even if it's just a deer or an owl. This guy is a bundle of fear

olympics coming up…… athlete aus on the mind….. satoru as a swimmer….. unreasonably large wingspan…. huge hands..... thinks “official” competitions and tournaments are boring because he can’t use the goofy purple googly eyes goggles he likes to practice in…… practices at ungodly hours solely because he likes when the pool is empty because that means you’ll dip your feet in at the edge and be there to greet him with a kiss when he’s finished his laps….. they bring up the stats board and it’s just his name ten times before the next fastest person and he could still lap them, and even tho he’ll always put so much pressure on himself to be the best, it’s worth it to have you hold his face and tell him you’re proud of him... he’s gotten so much merch from events and sponsorships and he used to think they just created clutter but that all changes when you start to wear his clothes (esp the ones with his name on it… he’s not proud to admit that does Something to him)…. always looks up to the stands when he finishes a race and if he knows you’re not there, he looks right at the camera, draws an infinity sign with his fingers, and blows a kiss (which, some commentators routinely call “unsportsmanlike conduct” but he doesn’t care, and always, publicly says he’ll pay the fees if it means blowing a kiss to his girl at home)
