I know you're doing Kinktober, and GOD you're amazing at it, but I have a request. (You could count it for Kinktober? Idk.) What about Alastor x Dom!Past Overlord!Reader(animal can be your pick) smut? Imagine you, an overlord who peacefully stepped down, are dating Alastor, and you are a very mean-honest and direct person with a lovable but not to be messed with personality. So one day while Alastor's taking you on a shopping spree, Vox runs across you or pops out from a nearby television (your pick). He starts insulting Alastor/asking if he's finally ready to do something useful and join the Vees, so of course you get pissed. Your anger keeps boiling up as he keeps talking, and eventually Alastor starts worrying less about Vox and more about which man you were gonna punch since it was obvious one of them was going to be the object of your anger(yes he's scared of you, you're a badass). Vox is unaware, since he thinks you're weak, you having stepped down before Vox had died. Eventually, one crude insult to Alastor sets you off, and with wide eyes you sucker punch him in the face, which ends up turning Alastor on. In the initial shock, Vox says something sexist about how you're just a weak girl, which pisses you off more and you start to transform into your demon form. You were about to jump at him and beat him up when Vox teleported away, not about to risk fighting you. Alastor would just be standing there shocked with slightly red cheeks, aroused. When you get back to the hotel, you drag Alastor to your shared bedroom, and tell him to undress cause you're pissed and pretty. I'm Sorry it was so long! Had the idea and knew I had to share it! If you decide not to do it, I look forward to reading your next stories. If you do do it, would it be considered Kinktober for Alastor having a dominant partner kink ( idk what to call it :/ )? I have no idea- Have a wonderful day! Can't wait for your next stories!
Hello Yui! Thank you so much for your kind words! I remember you from when I first started my blog (and then nuked it and then opened a new one lol!)
I really do struggle with saying no, so I did strongly contemplated doing your ask. I'm also honored that you'd consider trusting me with your request, but at the time of you sending me the ask, my request box was actually closed for a while per my pinned message. I actually have a long list of requests (close to 60!) and I also have my own projects and series I'm working on while juggling a full-time career.
In other words, I'm unfortunately at max capacity.
I'm hoping if any of my mutuals or followers would read this and pick up this awesome idea? We always love to see more femdom, amirite folks? 🥵
Thank you again for reading all my works 💖! And I hope you stay tune for more of my Kinktober/Flufftober stories! Who knows, maybe I might write some femdom!reader x Alastor one day? 🥰
XOXO,

I watched Mononoke Karakasa so I now I can interact with the small handful of posts about it I have and will come across on my dash
Here are a few thoughts I have about the movie
First of all, what a stacked cast! A lot of seiyuu I really love, Tomoyo Kurosawa my beloved~ and Hiroshi Kamiya fits Kusuriuri perfectly!
Second of all, LESBIANS!! I saw one post mentioning the possibility, so I knew I could expect something, and I got more than I was anticipating so I'm very happy. I also think I enjoyed the story and the characters more due to how female focused it was
I was a little worried if 90 minutes of Mononoke would melt my brain, but I was glued to the screen the entire time. It looked stunning and was an upgrade from the tv-anime (which tbf aired 17 years ago). The new design for Kusuriuri is super hot, although I prefer the gold and white version for his transformation, I can understand why they changed it too. As always, I'm a sucker for pretty kimonos and intricate hairdo's and we got a lot of that in this movie~
Overall a very nice movie and I'm happy there will be a continuation for it. I'm a fairly new fan to the franchise/character, but it's pretty cool how far they've come, from an arc to a tv-anime to full movies. I can't wait to see what happens to these characters next!
#my nonsense#ella watches anime#mononoke#i know i should hate netflix and i do but it was also a treat to watch it with subs in my native language#there's so much good anime on netflix atm#perfect for when i'll be gone for a week with poor internet#since i can download a bunch easily#if i could only wait to watch until then haha#but with movies i want to watch them when i'm in the mood for them#plus i'm only gonna come across a few more posts abt karakasa on my dash before ppl move on and i want to be able to read them

In reference to this ask game...
4. What is your favorite genre to write for?
I really like writing stories with fantastical or sci-fi elements. I especially like it when the magic or tech systems get explored or deconstructed, so I try to work some of that in when I can. Whether this be in my personal works (Astrara) or whatever fandom I'm down the rabbit hole for (Mario, currently), I can't help but go for things with magic, tech, talking animals...all that jazz.
5. What is your favorite trope to write for?
I am a sucker for hurt/comfort and anything involving transformations. And werewolves. If you put a tiny one in my hands like that one meme with Marge Simpson with a potato, I would declare how neat they are.
20. Do you have one piece of advice for your fellow writers?
Don't be afraid of a character going out of character.
What do I mean by this?
I don't mean making someone a jackass for the sake of being mean-spirited and edgy, or making an evil overlord a flower-basket wielding fellow skipping about the place doing only good deeds. I mean putting them through whatever plot you've got going, and because things just keep happening, there are points where they're just...sticking it to what you'd expect. For me, writing a character acting differently than expected due to stress or fear or some other thing makes them relatable—whether it be some sort of overwhelming buildup, uncontrollable circumstances impeding plans, or granting a truly wretched person a moment of humanity. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is brilliant at humanizing some truly horrible people—but if you look at it through this binary of in-character and out-of-character, then you're reducing the nuance that the writers have put into those characters. They are still terrible at the end of the day, but they're as complex as anyone else—its just that their OOC moments are a complete inverse to the norm, and why I made it a point to mention both good characters acting out and bad characters petting the dog.
It's kind of a misleading term, when you think about it. Characters are multi-faceted, just like you and me. So really it's not so much being afraid of a character acting OOC—it's being afraid to write them as someone flawed, someone who can get fed up with things, or someone who only knows how to be vulnerable in certain situations.

Birdmen Re-read Rambles!
"Oh wow this kid would get hit so hard if he was real" were my first thoughts the first time I met our beloved Eishi. I'm gonna see if I still feel the same now lol. I'm gonna try to do 10 chapters per post and day to pace myself I think cause I tend to think and ramble a lot while reading.
Putting it under keep reading cause we be known it gonna be long.
Even though I think of him fondly now, our Eishi is still a bitch lol. "I could've made that... I never tried it tho" boy...
"It's better to be alone" <- Mr. C0-Founder of an entire new species of children.
I forgot he used to wear glasses it's so weird
KAMODA :DDDD
... ... THEY ARE 14 AND 15 YEARS OLD OH MY GOD I FORGOR THEY BABY
ohhh i never really noticed how much airplanes (Eishi's motif? and his abandonment issues and what changed Takeyama's life) haunted the narrative in the beginning. He was always looking for or at them huh
"I've more or less decided I want to enter an all-boys school" Listen I am a very simple person, I see gay I call it Gay
UMINO!!! :DDD (I'm gonna react extravagantly when I see them all appear for the first time one by on lol. They make me very happy)
SAGISAWA!!!!
Oh my god the bus scene was so abrupt it caught me off guard. It's interesting to see it like this again though. I've become kinda used to picturing it as the more dramatic, cinematic animation Soh did a while back. To the point I forgot how quick and simple it was in the manga. I suppose the point was to just get them into the situation and shock us about it but that's such a pivotal moment to everything I kinda forgot how simple the art itself was ig?
"Are those glasses really that important to my character?" YES! You became a completely different person without them!
PARTIAL SHADOWED TAKEYAMA!!!!!
Oh the wings coming out when Eishi is calmer (meditating) and thinking of Takeyama....
LMAO Kamoda recovered so quickly Love my unfazed loyal boi
"We made a contract" I ligit thought they were alluding to a deal with the devil or something the first time reading around and I was so fascinated. But no it's just a 15 yrs old boy with no social skills and cryptid tendencies.
BIRB CLUB IS COMING TOGETHER AGAIN YAY
TAKEYAMA!!! :D
My favorite Eishi to draw, smol and angry
I do love how Eishi has always been the one to tactically think about everything, including weapons and locations. He's a brat and a worrier, but someone needs to be. I always appreciate that
OHHH his transformation is soooo cool I remember taking so many screenshots
Strange that Takayama's motif blackout appeared so close to Umino. I never figured out why, is is like, they appear to more vulnerable/ less densely populated birdmen areas? hmmm
Ah... Eishi and I both got sucker punched with the information that Takayama was dealing with them since he was a BABY
"Is it ok to wear socks" Sagisawa love never change
WHEEZING
Ah Takeyama and hand-holding
Takeyama is always so smiley it's kinda unnerving if you don't really know him. Annndddd he speaks like a fortune cookie
It's always interesting when arguably the most logical member of the team works better with his powers when he's more emotional and working on instincts.
Feeling them more acutely than anyone else...Holding hands and following into fire... ahhh
BIRD CLUB!!!!!!!!
I can make... SO many tasteless jokes. So many.
Takeyama was really surprised when Eishi got away. I never really took the time to notice all of those little expressions the first time
Kamoda being Eishi's number one fan and hype man is so cute always.
EICCHI Baby
#In other note I should try drawing them wings again my art style has changed significantly from the last time i tried.#birdmen#birdmen manga#birdmen reread#mal talks#I'm tired and i think i need some time to organize my thought about the things i noticed or didn't feel around while re-reading these chaps#that being said: there are the thoughts i had immediately upon reading said chapters#take that how you will#or don't#mhmmm#i

Ooo monster alternate universe ? 👀 I mean, there's beyond just a few AUs with them as monsters/mythical creatures but what do you personally view as 'most fitting' for each brother ... ?
This. Um. This answer spiraled and really got away from me. Sorry it took so long to get to it >_>
But here's some visual aids:
(The rest is going under a cut bc the explanations get long. because i'm incapable of shutting up lol)
OK so roster of sextuplets as monsters according to their personalities and most "monstrous" traits:
Oso:
I went with a kind of tanuki yokai thing because they're associated with trickery, laziness, crassness, and shapeshifting. Also drinking lol
The idea is he's pretty low-level and weak compared to other yokai but he still has magic, which is more than can be said for any human he comes across, so that inflates his ego and emphasizes his absolute worst traits.
He'd be kind of a devil figure, someone who makes underhanded and twisty deals where whatever service he provides you either sucks or only lasts long enough for him to get his payment and book it.
If you run into him in the woods he will follow you and pester you until you agree to a shitty deal.
But he's also not that bright so if you're careful you can wriggle out of the worst consequences, get away with just a lot of wasted time.
Kara:
Classic werewolf, to emphasize his two-faced side. I think he would try his best to blend in among humans, and Kara is Kara so that involves trying to be a cool biker guy to varying degrees of success.
I think he's lonely and subconsciously looking for a pack, but he's also got some "no babe, i'm a monster, i'll hurt youuuu" kinda angst working against him. I think his wolf transformations are a toss up between Slavering Eldritch Wolf Beast that will kill indiscriminately and completely harmless doggo who will beg for treats incessantly
He can be very protective and kind and loving but he is also a monster, he can be petty and vicious and violent, and I think the melodrama of werewolf transformations and symbolism (especially the animal instinct vs. humanity thing) fit him pretty well. Of the brothers, I think he'd be doing his best to actually integrate with human society, not just prey on it or play with it.
Choro:
He's an evil ghost. He looks innocent at first glance, some quiet young man who asks for some innocuous help or offers to do a small kindness for you, like walking an old lady across the street.
But the moment you accept his offer or ask him for anything, he's bonded to you and starts to slowly leech your life force for himself.
He's very polite the whole time, and while his requests might get more and more demanding as you grow weaker, his pointed smile never wavers. It gets harder and harder to say no, until you finally fade away yourself, and he moves onto the next sucker.
However, if you decline his request he won't ask again out of sheer embarrassment, so as long as you cotton on to the fact that he isn't human at the start, you're fairly safe.
Wherever he's standing, for some reason, there always seems to be a huge flat expanse of nothing stretching out behind him, partially obscured by fog.
He wants and he wants but he only knows how to take, never how to give or reciprocate beyond the shallowest, lowest-effort means.
Ichi:
I picked boogieman, but specifically the Discworld variety, where they're always hiding behind doors or under beds and scare children simply because children believe they're real, and therefore they are. They can be defeated with a blanket over their head, because everyone knows that boogiemen disappear if you put your head under a blanket, therefore if you put their head, the boogieman believes that he doesn't exist.
Which is very distressing for the boogieman.
So he's fairly easy to defeat, but I think he'd have a great time scaring the shit out of people and hiding/lurking in dark places. Rifling through people's private closet stashes, whatever they are.
He's potentially befriendable if you see him but show you're not scared. You can try offering a glass of milk. He loves scaring people but is also curious and lonely.
Jyushi:
Anthropomorphic personification of destructive fire.
He's an unstoppable force of nature, and while he isn't malicious, he has so much energy. And unfortunately, it burns everything to ash. He can do his best to rein himself in, but it doesn't change the fact that to touch him is to burn.
He's very cheerful though, definitely a lot of elements of Calcifer in him, but he also revels in fulfilling his purpose: burning shit to the ground.
He can be tamed, briefly, in campfires and hearths, but requires constant supervision. He can be everywhere at once in a breath, and you'll die sucking down his smoke.
He likes people. They give him so many places to live, and so much to eat. He wishes they would last a little longer when he comes around to visit.
Todo:
Fae, but specifically using a glamor to make himself look nice and princely. Underneath he's something more like a lich, and his pretty persona is there to lure you in.
He likes toying with people. He likes tricking them and pulling the wool over their eyes, both visually and in the twisty deals he makes with them.
Which he never refers to as deals, they're just pinky promises. That's not threatening, right? It's just a little promise. Don't worry about it. Don't look beneath the glitter.
Like Kara, he's extremely two-faced, but unlike Kara, he doesn't really care about humans or being part of their society. He'll take what he wants from people (which doesn't always cost them their lives) and disregard the rest. He needs to eat, after all.
SO that's my serious personality-based answer, I also have alternatives though because I love monsters. These are like, if I were picking monsters specifically for more wholesome or romantic AUs. The above ones would technically be romanceable, but the genre would probably be more horror and angst, vs the following are for lighthearted fun.
(you can tell which set i drew first lol)
Oso:
Classic incubus/devil, the transactional and non-commitment based nature of it works for him. He could be persuaded to fall in love with someone, maybe, but he lovessss sleeping around with no strings attached.
Once again, being a monster gives him actual powers, so he winds up being insufferably smug. You can tell that I don't like drawing feet lol
Kara:
Like a satyr but with bull parts instead of goat? I'm not sure what to call those. I'd say minotaur, but that's specifically with a bull's head and human body, not this way around.
But similar to the Greek Minotaur, he's kinda isolated and lonely, too big and too awkward to fit in with normal society. He tries to make himself small and quiet and appealing by learning music and things like that. Kind of a gentle giant thing.
Choro:
Frog prince, but caught in between. He's like a half-metamorphosed tadpole, with the arms and legs, but still with a tail. Idk I just wanted him to be slimy and awkward.
I'm not sure why I keep choosing washed out colors for Choro as a monster, maybe because I think he'd be the most self-conscious or distant about it? Like, most of the others would revel in or embrace their monster status, but I think Choro, while fulfilling his "job" as a monster, would always hate that he was one deep down.
A simple kiss probably won't break his curse. In the original fairy tale, the princess needs to learn to look past her disgust at having a frog husband, but in this case Choro needs to learn to look past his own sliminess and find worth in himself and others.
Ichi:
Blobby shadow monster, idk what to call it. He's got a bit more substance and weight than mere darkness, it's a bit more drippy and fluid.
But like the boogieman version, he can hide and blend in shadows and scare people, although he mostly chooses to watch. I think he's an accretion of the misery of the isolated, and goes to keep them company as they die. Or get help and get better. In the former case, their souls become part of him. In the latter, he just leaves.
In some ways, he wants to help. But he doesn't think there's anything he can do but be a witness. So he watches.
Jyushi:
Cyclops/oni thing, absolutely huge and cheerful and unfortunately clumsy. He does his best but he breaks things all the time. People still like him though, they just have to be very very careful. Luckily he has amazing hearing so he's so far managed not to step on anyone.
He could act as a guardian for a city, or as a transport service between towns. He can also rip up trees and deposit them directly in lumberyards for people to start chopping up. He's very useful.
But he does get a bit lonely. People are always happy to see him, but it's usually because they have a request. No one every wants to hear about this fun new game he invented using boulders and his club.
His laughter often causes avalanches on nearby mountain ranges.
Todo:
Classic vampire, because at least one of them had to be. I think it's fitting for Totty, who once again can use his appearance to lure people in and get what he wants from them.
Only, of course, most people nowadays are quite happy to have the attention of a vampire, even if they know where it's going. And he loves getting to dress up and be fancy.
He's arrogant and entitled, but less malicious than his fae persona.
END
ANYWAY I'm SO SORRY this spiraled so hard, I was just typing up a reply and then next thing I knew I was hunched over my drawing tablet and it'd been six hours. I might need to write some monster AU one shots now please fucking shoot me

What are your favorite angst tropes or scenarios? Who is your favorite character to angst?
i think i'm pretty predictable when it comes to this kinda thing lol
Medical Horror, Evil Science, Inhumane Experiments, Non-Consensual Body Modification, Painful Transformations, Body Horror, Physical and Psychological Torture are the big ones obvs i'm a big fan of horrible trauma and suffering
ngl, i am quite the sucker for stuff like Feral Behavior or someone who doesn't appear strictly human being treated like an animal
and always like seeing how events have fundamentally changed a character, altered their behavior and habits and reactions like Another Man's Poison Mikey has an issue with food and eating after what happened to him, the process of recovering from that, and how every has to adjust and help him, i really like everyone coming together to help the person who was affected
as for my fave character to angst...? like Donnie is my fave so he's going to get the short end of the stick 90% of the time, he makes it way too easy to angst him but i think Rise Leo is really fascinating to angst just because of his character
#i wanna angst Rise Raph more tbh#he makes it so difficult to angst him cause he's just such a powerful dude :/#thanks for the ask!

top 3 monster girls, go
I spent too long thinking about this question.
Disclaimers
I will be including sexual appeal in my choice; I know this is implied, but I wanted to state it. It is also not the only criteria I will be using to pick my top 3 monster girls.
However, sexual appeal does eliminate a lot of options under these categories:
Minors
Pokemon. Some may pass the Harkness test due to their intelligence, but people get weird about Pokemon, so I won't consider it. Gardevoir may be as smart as a person, have the figure of a woman, and talk in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, but I just don't want to go to the Pokemon well for this list.
Those that may not be minors but still really look too young for me. This eliminates a lot of BHA characters, and I'm certain some of them are still minors.
No robots :(
I'll also stick to media that I have consumed for my choices. This will be relevant for a few honorable mentions later on.
I can't list a character that I am unfamiliar with, so I'm sorry if your monster girl of choice isn't mentioned.
I don't watch a ton of anime these days, so I haven't watched Monster Girl Doctor and most anime featuring monster girls.
I did read some Monster Musume, and most of the girls seem pretty one-directional. While a lot of them have strong sexual appeal, they kinda stutter there.
I like that Interspecies Reviewers gets pretty kinky with its monster girls, but the treatment of Crim gives me the ick, so I haven't really had a desire to see all of it.
I will be excluding demi-humans (i.e. elves, dwarves, orcs, etc.).
Listen, the answer is pretty much always smash when it comes to demi-humans, but they don't really capture the "monster" element that I'm looking.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MY TOP 3
3. Panne, from Fire Emblem Awakening
Some would probably argue that Panne classifies as a furry rather than a monster girl, but it's my list. This is more of a sentimental pick, because she was my first Fire Emlem waifu and likely formative in my sexual deviancy.
I'm not generally a fan of slapping animal ears and a tail on someone and calling them a "monster person." However, Panne has way more going on her design than that with distinctive armor and shorts that are simply made of her fur. In addition, her people have a distinct culture that she talks about, and I like when she talks about it. I think that background fleshes out her character enough to keep me intrigued.
I think the big thing that separates Panne from your typical furry or person with animal ears/tails is her ability to transform into a giant rabbit-beast. To me, that's evocative of werewolves, which fall firmly in the venn diagram overlap of furries and monster people.
Maybe it's just me, but that ability to transform makes me question deep down if I'm ready to get it on with an intelligent monstrous rabbit. That's the real monster in Panne.
I probably would.
2. Kerrigan, Queen of Blades from Starcraft
Source: https://rafater.artstation.com/projects/2kWwJ
I've only played Starcraft 2 once, and that was almost a decade ago, but I think Kerrigan is the perfect balance of "Dangerous monster" and woman that I crave. I'm also a sucker for a fallen hero archetype, so she's got me there. However, I do remember that she regained her humanity and free will for a bit, so she does pass the Harkness Test.
She doesn't keep her human appearance for long, because she fully embraces the zerg after presumably, her love, Jim Raynor, dies. However, she keeps her free will this time! Maybe I'm just a romantic, but I'd love if a woman embraced the monster within her to avenge me.
I never finished the Protoss campaign, so I don't know what happens to her in the end, but I like to imagine that she and Jim got freaky.
1. Midna, from Twilight Princess
Midna really balances on that line between demi-human and monster girl for me, but what pushes her over the side to monster girl is her color palette, almost alien head proportions, and her multiple forms.
I confess, I would get freaky with imp midna.
Also,
Would.
Midna's appeal isn't all sexual or aesthetic either. She's sassy, mischievous, and devoted to her people. She's an admirable character. She can make me laugh, which goes a long way. I like her.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Honorable Mentions
Medusa from Greek Mythology
I have a ton of respect for Medusa. She was a victim of Poseidon and Athena, and she only turned home invaders to stone. She got done dirty. There's a feminist movement thing I've seen that celebrates Medusa. I like her as an icon a lot.
Karlach/Lae'zel
If I had played Baldur's Gate 3, these two girls would probably make it to the top 3 easy. I just haven't gotten around to it. I'm sorry.
Alcina Dimitrescu
I feel like I had to mention Lady D somewhere. I haven't played RE Village, so she doesn't make the cut. I think I have a lot of conflict about her. Like, yeah, I find her very sexually attractive. She's tall, well-dressed, got a nice aesthetic going. She's certainly got that dangerous quality of a monster, but that's just kind of about it. She causes a lot of conflict in me emotionally too. There's sexual appeal, but I should be afraid of her in the context of the horror game, and I don't want to just overtly sexualize any woman I see. Maybe I've tried conditioning myself too strongly about that. Idk, there's an ick in my gut. Maybe because there's no outcome where I don't end up dead if we were put in a room together. I understand that some may find that appealing. I'm also not into hardcore femdom. I'm way more into gentle stuff. She does reach that perfect height for me when it comes to mini-giantess/giantess stuff. I like that.
Ahsoka Tano
I like Ahsoka, and I know she's grown up now, but I primarily see her as a minor still. I'd have more to say if I hadn't fallen off of Star Wars a few years ago, but she deserves some recognition.
World Of Warcraft Vanilla Succubus
You could throw a dart at any of the playable races in WoW and I'd likely say "smash", but they primarily fall under demi-human category or furry. However, I consider demons to be monsters.
Vanilla WoW Succubus, my beloved
She says the darnedest things.
Those polygons hit me at a developmentally important time of my life and likely had a hand at me looking at other polygons. I don't think I'd consider monster girls without her.
Thank you, if you made it this far. Tell me your favorite monster girls.
@kingdedede8 This ask took a large portion of my day

Do you think the original Phantom of the Opera book has any sort of fairytale-like elements to it? If so, could you list some?
This ask is seven billion years old, but yes!
For one thing, the Phantom story is essentially a more specific version of the old Beauty and the Beast fairy tale - in both, a father "gives" his daughter to a terrifying monster who appears to be dangerous but turns out to love her, and she must find a way to love that monster in turn in order to keep herself safe and search for a happy ending. The Phantom story adds embellished elements, such as the heavy focus on music and the Phantom being a disfigured human instead of a cursed one, but the story is essentially the same, which means it carries over a lot of beats from the original fairy tale.
If you didn't know I'm a sucker for Aarne-Thompson-Uther, you do now, so let's go down a quick list of some of the fairy tale elements we see!
The Child Who Won't Leave Home: Lots of fairy/folktales have this element, where a child needs to leave home and make their way in the world or they will never truly grow up (which usually, in these stories, means they won't be able to be happy and/or they'll be a burden on their aging parents/community). Christine fits this trope, remaining somewhat locked in eternal childhood, focused on her memories of her father and his tales of the Angel of Music, until she is finally forced to see reality and make choices about her adult life.
The Girl as the Monster's Wife: This is a common fairy tale/folklore stock element: a beautiful young girl is given to a monster to become its bride. You see echoes of it in dragon/monster sacrifice tales, too, but the story usually uses its fairy tale themes to address real-life anxieties about women in earlier centuries having little to no control over who they married or how they were treated when they did. (And parents' fear over that for their daughters!)
The Animal Bridegroom: A subset of the Monster's Wife above, there are an absolute load of stories about young women being forced, either through trickery, blackmail, or magic, into marrying actual animals. Often, these animals can later be turned into humans through the power of her love and/or loyalty and devotion, but sometimes the moral is more about making the best of a weird situation. Obviously, the Phantom story inherits this from its Beauty and the Beast roots, even though the Phantom is no longer a literal animal.
The Dangerous Husband: The most common version of this is probably the tale of Bluebeard, but it appears in many stories and cultures (from the same anxieties as above!). In these stories, the husband is hiding a dark secret, and his innocent wife must realize he's evil and get out before it's too late or join others he has previously preyed on; in the Phantom story, Christine must realize that her "angel of music" is actually the murderous Phantom, and is in a constant state of discovering things like torture chambers and death threats until she and Raoul finally resolve the situation and escape.
Disenchantment by Kiss: In many fairy tales, the curse/transformation/evil is broken or defeated by a pure kiss from a loved one; in the Phantom story, it is Christine's kiss on his forehead (or mouth in later derivative versions) that causes him to realize that he has been behaving like a monster and end his reign of terror.
In addition to all this, there's also of course the mythology angle, which I mention a lot in reviews! Greek mythology is especially good with this - the Phantom story has heavy overtones of both the myth of Hades and Persephone, in which the god of the dead rises up from the underground to kidnap the beautiful young goddess of spring and everyone goes absolutely bonkers trying to get her back, and the myth of Eros and Psyche, in which the beautiful Psyche is forbidden from seeing her lover, who always comes to her in darkness with his face hidden, and when she breaks her promise and brings in a light to see him destroys the relationship and suffers as a result. The first has obvious parallels to Erik's kidnapping of Christine, while the second is a pretty clear comparison to the unmasking scene.

Making myself a lil intro post to pin
Hello everyone! My name's Two (short for 217), though I'm apparently going by Saturn on this blog, which is also fine! I'm in my mid-20s, agender (they/them) and I really love cats.
I was obsessed with TFA (and Prowl, my first love) when I was 13, fell out of the fandom for a long time, and now I'm back! My husband is still beautiful as ever. He's literally shaped me as a person.
I'm getting into other Transformers media now, but I'm still new! So far I've seen Transformers One (4 times. my beloved), TFP, and I'm almost done with Cyberverse.
I'm a selfshipper and OC enthusiast. I don't care much for canon/canon ships, I LOVE making OCs and throwing them at characters I like instead. OC creation is my favorite ever thing to do so expect to see my little guys. And they are kissing my blorbos. Because I'm having fun 🧡
I'm a romantic at heart and am kissing my blorbos daily. But that said, I'm a sucker for angst and exploring dark themes, and will happily inflict pain and suffering upon characters I love and also any observer that gets attached to them <3 sorry not sorry. I am feral for dooming the narratives!
I'll list my favorite characters and OCs under the cut because I have can't-shut-up-disease and autism-fueled insanity so there's a LOT! Asks about either are always very very welcome and I will love you forever.
Lastly, this is a harassment-free zone, we are all friends here! Please take your hate and bad vibes elsewhere, if you want to police how people enjoy things, this is not the place for you. Yes, this means you, antis. Go away.
Selfships/Most Beloved Blorbos
Prowl 🧡 | TFA | the one the only, my beloved husband of 13 years and going strong. Nothing and nobody could ever dethrone him from his top spot he's so special to me. The only s/i from any fandom ever who I'm genuinely not fully comfortable sharing (it's new to me too. Sorry I'm weird about him). We are legally married. Nothing bad has ever happened to him.
D-16 | TF1 | my sweet boy my precious beloved I could have fixed him. He's my little guy. I love him. I want to hold him gently. I selfship with him but I also ship him with Orion I don't care. There are infinite universes and he has two hands in all of them. Well, most of them. He deserves to be loved.
Smokescreen | TFP | this boy is climbing up the ranks of my heart he's such a silly little guy. Every time I see him I just point at the screen like "there he is!! My boy!! You're doing amazing sweetie!" He's like a son to me. He needs so much therapy. This one's not really a selfship, but he's so special to me, he deserves to be on the list.
Honorable mentions
My favorite guys who didn't get their own blurb but they are still very dear to me. Including but not limited to:
Optimus Prime 🖤 [mainly TFP but tbh any] | Ratchet 🖤 [any] i'm an old man enjoyer | Knockout [TFP] | Wreck-Gar [TFA] | Starscream [any but TFP Star is a freak (affectionate)] | Cliffjumper [any] he's like a hamster to me | Sentinel Prime [TF1] [mmm bastard]
OCs
Please witness my beautiful children
PHANTOM-2918-4/Phantom/Bird | mainly TFA, has a TF1 version | decepticon-turned-autobot | shipped with Prowl | #oc: the courage of stars
Ash Majors | TFA | autobot-aligned human/techno-organic | also shipped with Prowl (long story) | #oc: just to be quiet
Skyline | TF1 | new high guard, then decepticon | shipped with D-16 | #oc: all the stars will never be enough
Trixie | TF1, has a TFA version | unaligned alien creature | shipped with Sentinel | #oc: i'll be your animal
Wildside | TFA | neutral bot | shipped with Wreck-Gar | #oc: living on the wild side
Galatea | TFA or TFP | human-made bot/AI | TFA shipless, TFP shipped with Knockout but in the most angst-filled way possible <3 | no tag yet
Leo | TFP | autobot-aligned human | shipped with Smokescreen | #oc: next up forever
Briar | TFP | autobot-aligned human | shipped with Optimus (eventually) and Ratchet (even later) | no tag yet
Joanna | initially autobot-aligned human, then M.E.C.H., then decepticon/techno-organic | Briar's best friend. Not officially shipped with anyone, but Megatron/Joe is too funny a concept to pass up. It would never realistically happen. Doesn't stop me though. | no tag yet
Livewire | TFA, maybe TFP | autobot | shipped with Ratchet, best friends with TFA Longarm (what a nice guy!) | #oc: like a pulse
Bluescreen | TFA | decepticon | shipped with Lugnut (one-sided, pathetic) | no tag yet
Other tags

Some musings abt the soon to be Precure season
So i took a look at the new website and bruhhh
they're so tacky looking and cute I love them! I'd actually gotten spoiled for Cure Wonderful and Cure Nyami's designs thanks to fanart on pixiv, and at the time I thought the season was going to have an Alice and Wonderland motif thanks to Wonderful's crown [thought she was gonna be like the queen of hearts but nope]. After checking out the website and trailer tho, it seems like the theme is more of a zoo and or animal companion theme. When I first realized that I thought to myself "wait haven't we been here before?" but thinking about it further Healing Good's theme was more along the lines of veterinarians and the earth[?] and Kira Kira Precure's was moreso just animals as window dressing/attack inspo with sweets being the main theme so I suppose we're not technically retreading old ground here. Speaking of not retreading old ground- HOLY SHIT THE MAIN CURE IS A DOG??
Just like...a full on dog dog bruh, like dang man I never thought i'd see the day where we'd essentially get a fairy leading the team. It seems like the team's split into both humans and animals, with Cure Nyami definitely being that white cat
This is exciting! I love that Precure's held onto having fairies transform into humans, it's so heckin fun! Back to the designs- In order of my favorite to least favorite it's Cure Nyami [look at that hair bruh! she is beauty, she is grace]
Cure Friend [the poncho and hair are my fav]
Cure Wonderful [she looks like such a peppy kid awwww]
and lastly Cure Lillian [her arm thingies remind me of Futari Wa and I adore that ribbon]
Honestly, I think this may be the first time since Kira Kira Precure that I've been immediately on board with the designs. I ended up loving Hirogaru's over time but at first glance, I couldn't get over how weird they looked [never fully ended up liking Cure Wing's design but still love the character]. The only thing I dislike about them is Lillian's headband, and the big heart on Friend's shoes. I'm sort of a big sucker for poofy/frilly skirts, long straight hair, and ponchos so I feel well-fed. I'm especially looking forward to seeing them all in motion, especially Lillian since based on her turnaround she seems to have a bit of sass to her. Based on Nyami's turnarounds/previews she seems to be more of a kuudere[?] type which isn't something we've gotten for a main cure in a while. There's also all of these guys just hangin' out on the site too
Can't wait to see what these lil guys can do, hoping that they'll be connected to powerups and maybe even special outfits/attacks [really enjoyed it when Happiness Charge did that]. But maaaan this is so cool. It seems like ever since Hirogaru decided to play around with Precure conventions they're going all out with unique approaches to the formula. One thing I hope they continue doing this season tho, is keeping the fighting style as a literal fighting style like super sentai where they actually throw punches. I love Kira Kira, but there's only so many times [like 2] that I can watch someone fight by pointing a wand at something before I start skipping the battles. Really loved how Hirogaru frequently would have the characters strategize in battle, it really kept me engaged even if I always know how it'll end. All-in-all, it's sad to see Hirogaru go, but I'm excited with what new stories await in the new season! ^^

Hello!!! :D
could I get a matchup for any transformers version? decepticon or autobot
I'm in the five foot range with brown hair in a pixie cut! I'm a bisexual woman. i doodle a lot, adore art. I can play the trumpet, and currently want to learn the drums.
I want to travel, and learn many different cultures. I don't like starting things, and I'm somewhat anxious. I also have ADHD, which sucks.
But I enjoy painting, and dancing. I like dressing up. Admittedly, I have kind of an hourglass, I just wish I had a smaller waist.
I adore animals, and will take them off the streets. I tend to be stubborn, and I adore physical affection.
I have kind of bad self esteem, but I'm trying to get better! I have no clue how to cook, but I'll definitely paint or buy gifts for my partner! I'm also a sucker for praise.
I match you with
Whirl
He really enjoys art and he especially loves seeing the things you draw
He thinks instruments are fun and you’re talented when you play them
He loves traveling with you and win-win, he has the ability to fly so wherever you wanna go he’s always up for a trip
He has a love for different people and cultures
He’s a very caring Bot so he is sweet and understanding about your anxiety and ADHD
He’s very in-tune with you so if you’re anxious he’ll already know before you say anything, and he’ll help as best he can
He’ll try to help you with the symptoms of your ADHD however he can and whatever way helps you best. Calendars, reminders, etc
He actually enjoys partaking in your hobbies; he will try to paint with you and dance with you
He thinks you’re very gorgeous all the time, but especially when you dress up
He also loves animals in my opinion and he’s just as likely to take in strays as you
I think everyone can be stubborn at times so he understands that
He loves physical affection too, so he’ll always be up for cuddles, hand holding, or whatever
He is naturally a doting partner so he will always be doing and saying things to build up your self esteem/confidence
Any gift you give him he’ll cherish
He’ll most definitely praise you. He’s the king of words of affirmation. And he truly means every word, he’d never say something he didn’t mean

I feel a lil embarrassed coming here to dump these thoughts bc they're not related to one AU in particular but more a concept a friend and I came up with? and it's Woodrow related and you are kind of the ultimate Woodrow person /pos
I had the idea of all the wardens having gone through some kind of ceremony in the past for each of them when they began their wardenry. and bc I'm a sucker for this trope, I like to think that through some old magic they were each given one (1) special power in order to keep their planet safe, unique to each of them. Of course by the time we see them in SOH, their planets were still overrun bc Cursa was just too powerful.
But it got me thinking (of course) about what Woodrow's power could be. And my friend and I started thinking about things like controlling storms, shadows, stuff like that...
But me being me(tm) and loving monsters and characters transforming into monsters, I settled on: giant crow beast Woodrow.
This is sorta something I talked abt in a post of mine under different contexts but I LOVE the idea of Woodrow's name being short for Woodland Crow, referring to this monstrous form he can take when necessary. I imagine he's at least three times his height like this, winged and all, but still awkward and gangly, just even more unsettling.
I think it would be cool if he had storms somewhat under his command like this - somewhat because Woodrow being Woodrow, his luck would probably not always have it work out.
Also uhhh final thought is. I imagine him being even bigger than Phantom in this form so! for the first time ever Phantom gets cuddles from someone bigger than him :]
TDLR: Woodrow has a special warden power and it's turning into a giant storm crow
Aww that's very sweet of you!! I never think of myself as the ultimate anything, haha. I'm always happy to hear people's Woodrow ideas :3 I've said this before, but I love how he resonates with people. Not just me. I don't think I've ever seen the idea of an artist/writer who struggles with acceptance, both of themselves and their work (because for many of us those two are essentially the same thing), and yet KEEPS GOING despite all setbacks, portrayed in such a powerful way that is equally blunt and whimsical.
This is a super cool idea about the wardens. And for Allegra it happened in reverse: they KNEW she should be the warden/melodist becuase she could do the rituals on her own. I'd love to hear ideas you have about the other wardens!
Picturing him as a giant crow is so cool, and YES... he can bring Phantom under his wing... or sit on him like a big egg sadjfl;kaj. And yeah, maybe due to his bad luck, the transformation would not fully work sometimes, and he'd end up as some kind of rabbid harpy thing with talons and wings but the rest of his body being normal...
Y'know, it would be fun to imagine SoH characters as other animals than rabbi(d/t)s... Woodrow would be a crow, no doubt about it! I think Phantom could be a very fancy pampered cat or something, lol... but I'm going off on too many tangents now!!
Thank you for sharing your idea, I love it :D

dunno if solei would ever even interact with others after they save aurien but… i feel like the similarities and differences with nene and solei make me think about them LOTS!!!!! for example
nene is the most talkative person after what happened and solei struggles speaking(ish) and can mostly communicate with little animal-like grunts
i really feel like their relationship could be more like. nene yaps really really hard and solei is forced to listen and after a while they actually start to enjoy the talking and feels more human with the conversations. nene would know. she would understand. she doesn’t quite feel human either, but she hides it with a little joke and a smile. it would be nice, i think, to know someone who understands you even if you’re so different, right? and since nene is in season 40, it would have been after aurien gets saved, so… i wonder if that changes anything about solei?
i still think it would be good for solei to have a friend who knows what they went through, but that’s just me… i’m not saying aurien isn’t good at comforting or listening at ALL i’m saying that sometimes wouldn’t it feel good to be known rather than seen? maybe nene makes solei smile with a little joke. maybe she writes them stories. maybe she can give solei and aurien supplies such as food when neither of them can get it for any reason.. like their kid? in a way? like found family? sorry im a sucker for found family im a loser i know
IM SO SORRY FOR YAPPING but really what do you think? i have so much more to say but this is so long im so very sorry… i just really really love solei and i cannot stop thinking of them
Hi!!! Hihihihi!!!
It's very interesting that Nene is talkative after everything!! I find the contrasts between Nene and Solei very interesting too, actually, because Nene's transformation seemed like a form of revenge and was something she planned while Solei's was against their will and something they view as the lowest point of their life. Both Nene and Solei suffered from a weak physical condition, but while Nene's transformation ensures that she no longer gets sick (and can regenerate), Solei is in constant pain and agony. There are so many contrasts and parallels......
Unfortunately, Solei doesn't get to live a long life after their transformation. Though I think possible interactions between Nene and Solei would be super cute. I'm particularly fond of them "adopting" her in a way. It's giving somewhat Joel and Ellie from the last of us. Kind of. The found family dynamic would be so so sweet...... Nene can breathe underwater and Solei can scale the sky....
Thank you for the ask!!! Don't worry about yapping too much, I'm always happy to hear it (though my responses might take a while because I have work to do, and when I come home im usually dead tired)! It makes me really happy that you thought of this :) thank you!! Nenelotl and Solbird....

Could you tell me more about your role reversal AU? How did Aziraphale fall? How did the situation in the Garden of Eden play out? How did they meet Viviana/Gaia? (I love the name by the way, I'm always a sucker for Greek myth names)
Okay! So!
In both my canon, and my au, Viviana is only created a few weeks before the beginning, God personally creates her for the earth, she is the first thought of earth. She is life on earth, hence her name.
So, you have to understand a bit about OG Viv first, she’s been on earth since it’s creation and talks to Aziraphale a lot in Eden, ‘distracting’ him. She meets Crowley in his snake form and tells him to go away lol, cos he’s blocking her view of the river. Then they properly meet on the wall.
AU time!
Viv is now called Gaia because @purpleyearning recommend it as a name, so i thought perfect name for an au.
I like the think that really Aziraphale’s fall from heaven was one big misunderstanding (in his words).
While Crowley “sauntered vaguely downwards”, Aziraphale tripped and crashed. and burnt. I don’t have a specific event in mind but anyway his animal is a black swan because
“It symbolizes transformation, death, and rebirth. The black swan is also a reminder that we must go through the dark night of the soul before we can emerge into the light. The black swan is a symbol of hope.”
And i think that really sums up my ideas for Demon! Aziraphale, he’s kind, but tired, a demon, who was once an angel.
Anyway, Angel Crowley is just Crowley 😭. he’s always been kind, always liked animals, always loved the starts.
Gaia meets Crowley when doing some sneaking about heaven so she could see the ‘sparkly things’, and she meets Aziraphale in the Garden when she complains to the swan that it was ridiculous for her to make edible food, but not have people eat it, so he very innocently goes “you eat it,”
and she does. and then Eve sees and copies. so really, Aziraphale tempts Gaia who tempts Eve.
They tell this to Crowley who CACKLES.
Aziraphale still has his book shop, just not acquired totally legally, Crowley has his car, which has a sun roof now to see the stars. Crowley’s plants are loved, but he has one that keeps dying and Gaia can’t bring it back.
Anyway, Gaia’s transformation into death goes a bit like this.
she still creates as life, but in this universe she becomes fed up with humanity rather quickly, and notices her hair is darkening, so she hides it from her *cough* partners *cough*!best friends, and she also keeps seeing death around the place, and all her plants are dying, and she’s so scared,
“i think— i think this is my version of falling”.
she seals her fate by creating a pomegranate tree in her sleep.
