cas' confession was the first thing bobo wrote for season 15 aka THEE FINAL season of supernatural. and Misha read it and was so damn excited. he even changed some bits and pieces about it. and then they both played politics to have the confession greenlit. and misha talked to 13 ???!!!! execs to make it happen. he talked to dabb and singer. he talked to jensen. probably to kripke too, right?? lol he had to have the approval of them all. and he got it. the man put so much effort. literally FOUGHT for it (per his own words). and then they butchered the confession in the editing. and erased cas from the surface of the show as a "thank you." and didn't let dean and cas reunite. not even in a goddamn flashback. BUT. despite all this. the confession trended above elections! and is still celebrated even four years after the show ended. and is supernatural's unwanted legacy. and i think it's kinda EPIC.

He hasn’t hugged his momma properly in over a year. The last time he was home was Christmas 2023. In February he set off to Asia and the last time he was seen pre-arrest was during his roommate swap in August 2024 where his family wasn’t present. He probably hasn’t even met his newborn niece (his sister Luciana delivered at some point during 2024)

Yeah I'm not done Veilsposting actually. Woops. Anyways, the longer I think about it, the more its bounty has a very clear class implication that goes along with Veils' desire to not so much have a rival, as have a victim who draws out the killing. 4 billion Echoes. Think about who would go for that. A bounty like that, a share big enough to fund your life many times over and ridiculous enough to be a warning in itself, is going to pull out the overconfident, the overly curious, and the desperate. The type of people baited into hunting Veils would end up being: 1. Rich hunters armed to the teeth looking for glory, 2. The odd curious Neathy newcomer who's about to get way in over their head, and 3. Anyone too desperate to turn down a chance at the money, even if they know the chance is low if anything.

The first kind it could be flashy about dismantling, and prideful in its ability to overcome a well-funded arsenal. The last two kinds of people will be afraid. Openly, miserably, viscerally afraid. It enjoys that. There's a reason it takes its good sweet time actually showing up to try and kill the PC in the late stages of BaL, even though it can travel through Parabola and definitely has the resources to just have them assassinated at a distance if it really came down to it. It wanted desperate people to come to it, and it wanted them to jump through the ridiculous side-quest hoops the Scarred Naturalist set out, and it wanted them to show up and be afraid, for its own entertainment. For a chance at prize money they never had a shot at getting.

What I'm saying is modern-day Veils would fund those humiliating game shows.

I'm working on a story where the protagonist and main POV character is the only character I haven't named yet. I'd sorta convinced myself that if I kept using the placeholder name for long enough, that would just become her name, but it hasn't, and now I'm doing final edits like God am I gonna send her out into the world with the wrong name because I can't think of anything better? Am I not gonna get a good grade in character names?? It doesn't matter too much, I mean there's no way the name would bother other people as much as it's bothering me, but also I made the choice to have basically every character use she/her pronouns so I have to use names all the goddamn time so you can follow the action at all. This name is in like every sentence. And I don't like it, but I can't think of a single name I like better. So I keep planning to figure it out later. But I'm getting closer and closer to finishing my edits. I'm writing this for a deadline, so I can't even just take a break and keep thinking about it. It seems increasingly likely that my last edit will be changing the name.

And I keep thinking fuck, naming a child would be so goddamn stressful. I simply could not do it. I would think about names every single moment of every single day of the pregnancy or adoption or kidnapping or whatever, and then baby would still have a blank birth certification for the first two weeks their life. Shoutout to people who name people, it truly couldn't be me.

i've unfollowed the person who was filling my dash with discourse on the mcu fandom tags change, not because i don't want to see opinions i disagree with, but because the discourse is full of people citing james bond continuity to support their arguments but being wildly wrong about how continuity works in the james bond movies. my desire to not get dogpiled over fandom discourse is very strong, but i don't trust that it's stronger than my 'someone is being loudly wrong about one of my perpetual hyperfixations' pedantry 😂

yep -- the same guy from the spongebob musical, and my posts abut the spongebob musical.

he blew up completely and now the general public knows him as 'ariana grande's new boyfriend' - their relationship seems to have started off the back of co-starring in the upcoming wicked musical film adaptation.

it's just been like. a monkey's paw curling sort of a way for him to get catapulted to fame, as i had always really enjoyed him as a performer (as spongebob, yes, but also in the other roles i'd seen him in,) and my biggest hope back around 2017 was that he would continue in and be really successful in theatre, get a lot of broadway roles, maybe take on some existing parts i thought he'd really suit, like seymour in little shop or ogie in waitress.......... but instead he booked the role of boq from wicked in a massive hollywood film production instead, where he met ariana grande. THE ariana grande.

and then yeah. at some point, he and grande broke up with their respective partners, (slater leaving both his wife AND newborn son) jumped into a new relationship, and now the whole wider internet knows who he is but certainly not for the right reasons.

there's been speculation regarding whether or not grande and slater had cheated on their previous partners before their relationship began with various sources coming out of the woodwork saying "yes they did" and others saying "no they didn't" -- humans are all perfectly capable of making stuff up, the media especially, so i simply don't know who to trust and i admit it had completely shattered my whole good impression of him - PLUS it gave the wider internet an absolutely awful first impression of him, resulting in, yeah, the (frankly, unflattering, sometimes downright cruel) memes of him popping up on twitter and, as i discovered yesterday, in non-theatre youtubers' videos who would literally never have heard of him if not for the slater-grande romance 🥲
