AU: Adrien (Chat Noir) is on Gabriel (Hawkmoth)’s side.

Once Gabriel told him of his plan right after Adrien received the black cat miraculous, that gave him no other possibility but to join his father's side, right? This was his dad, and they just wanted to save his mom, and he’d rather not think too much of what the akumatizations implied, but he’d become very good at compartmentalizing anyway.

Plus, Adrien plays a convincing and fun villain as Chat Noir.

And, if he helps his dad in his quest, and hinders Ladybug in her fights from time to time, they should quickly be able to get the ladybug’s miraculous, and it will all be over soon, right?

Only, Ladybug doesn’t take him seriously at all and has already figured out that he’s a sweet cinnamon roll, and while he tries very hard to convince her that he’s her ENEMY and she shouldn’t be laughing at his puns when he’s mocking her and CAN’T SHE BE A BIT MORE CAUTIOUS AROUND HIM URGH!??
