So recently I’ve been more than a little obsessed with the 1983 Jim Henson company project called “Fraggle Rock,” about all these silly little muppet creatures having crazy adventures in the cave system in which they live, called, appropriately, Fraggle rock. After watching 3/4 of the seasons, I started doodling some of my fav cats OCs as fraggles, and it just sort of spiraled from there. So if I’ve sent you 🫵 an ask about the kind of clothing your oc would wear, this is why :D. Without further ado:

Just thinking about how for Luke’s parents every parents worst fear came true. Their son ran away, they haven’t had contact in months, don’t even know if he’s alive or where he is, and then one night they turn on the news and there he is, but it’s not because he’s a star. No. He is dead.

The last words that Luke and his mom said to each other were in anger. And we know that Luke’s dad wasn’t even home when he ran away as we can see him just pulling up in the driveway when Emily runs out.

Luke’s last interaction with his mom is him saying he never wants to see her again, but then up until his last days he regrets saying that and keeps looking for ways to reconnect.

But he never got to, because he died. And how did his parents find out? A news channel.

I just finally watched Eyewitness for the first time and I am not ok. I loved that so, so much. The characters were all phenomenal, and I absolutely loved the two main boys.

It was so beautiful and happy and cute and painful. I don’t think I have the words for how much I loved it. I’m going to rewatch it so many times.

Philip and Lukas had me giggling and kicking my feet like an idiot so many times. I’m obsessed. I’m never moving on.

i love how obsessed blue eyed samurai is with sound. of course it makes sense—mizu was brought up by a blind man who used sound to navigate the world. but i love how that follows mizu, and thus the audience. it makes the fall of the first few rounds of soldiers to gunfire all the more impactful—we hear the gunfire and the thwip of the arrows, but the shock of it all and the dramatic soundtrack drowns out the soldiers falling to the grounds which is something we would’ve heard were it earlier in the series

notes:

annaleigh ashford was on her hands and knees desperately begging for josh groban’s sweeney to listen to her, you can hear the sound of her slamming her hands on the stage as she says “could that thing have cared for you like me?” it was such an intense thing to watch

josh groban is practically spitting as he says “eminently practical and yet appropriate as always,” again the energy and his emotions are incredibly intense

i’m not super familiar with other sweeney todd productions, but in this one it seems that mrs lovett knows what’s coming. ashford keeps glancing toward the oven as groban spins her around, but it seems she wants to keep deluding herself into believing him, she wants to see the version of sweeney she creates in “by the sea.” she sounds frantic in her signing, like she’s trying to convince herself what she’s saying is true as well. or, she knows what’s coming and just doesn’t care, she’s resigned to death. either way, it’s an amazing performance by ashford

I just finished watching the first two episodes of succession for the first time and seriously what the fuck is going on with tom and greg. they were together on screen for less than two seconds and tom was immediately like you wanna kiss me? oh I see. mhmm. yeah. you wanna kiss me so bad. literally embarrassing. suck my dick. I’m joking. omg I’m literally kidding don’t take me seriously. the look on your face oh my god you actually thought I was being serious? really? because I was. you want me carnally. you want money but you want me more. JUST KIDDING OMG

Man, to have this story be about a girls’ soccer team in particular. Girls, who are taught to play by clean rules of society that must be actively unlearned in the wilderness. Athletes, who famously operate on superstition, rituals so easily transformed in crisis to matters of life and death. A team, which fundamentally cannot succeed if all parties aren’t working in tandem for the good of the whole. It’s so smart, and so simple, and goddamn, I love Yellowjackets.

i read part of the first chapter of sea glass gardens a while ago but decided to come back once I knew more about the characters and world building of jjk. Anyways and I watched jjk 0 and your telling me he actually blew up the school with the power of love??? Like full on textually the power of love??? He straight up used the power of love to nuke Geto and subsequently the school??? Are you kidding me?? I'm losing my mind. What the fuck

my boy has powerful love within him and also incredible and indiscriminate violence. what more could you want from a character.
