hi!! could you possibly do a one-shot with evan buckley where reader is having a horrible time and asks to come over but once they do they attempt to undress buck and have (ya know) with him but he realizes like right after his shirt was taken off that reader is trembling and shaking.
maybe it’s because of a fight with their sibling or something but it ends with him just holding them until they fall asleep and he’s all like “i’m gonna marry them.”
OFC you can take this into a whole different route!! thank you so much in advance!
in for it - e.b
summary: when y/n gets hot, and especially bothered, buck has to figure out why.
evan buckley x reader
a/n: hi!! again, so sorry for how delayed this is, but i hope its still enjoyed for those willing to read :))
buck and y/n had been texting all day, shooting each other suggestive messages and flirty little remarks. buck knew he was in for a treat when he got home, considering all of the bold things his girl had said to him throughout his shift.
however, that was not the case. when he returned home, he called out for y/n, but got no response. he got slightly worried, but y/n's a big girl, she knows what she's doing. he placed his bags down by the front door and pulled out his phone.
Hey, just got home. Everything good?
Yeah. I'm on my way home
he obviously believed her, he has no reason to not trust her. so, he took a beer out of the fridge and went to go sit on the couch and wait for her.
when he heard the doorknob twist, he got a familiar feeling of excitement he always knew when y/n would come home. he heard her kick her shoes off and throw her bag down. it sounded louder than normal, so she must've been really excited to come home to him.
when she came over, she threw her jacket on one of the chairs, leaving her in jeans and a white tank top. she looked as beautiful as always, never needing to dress up for buck because anything she wore was pure fashion in his eyes.
"hey, sexy," buck flirted as she walked over to him. she instantly grabbed his face, pulling his lips onto hers. he could smell the wine on her breath and the taste of it on her tongue. her hands wandered around his neck, slightly gripping onto it. he could feel her racing heart against his own chest, almost faster than he has ever felt it. "how were things at joes?"
her fingers quickly ran down to the hem of his t-shirt, tucking underneath and starting to pull it up. right before the fabric covered his eyes, he took note of y/n's red eyes and furrowed brows with her jaw tight. "fuck him." she spat out after his face was out. he looked her directly in the eyes as her hands continued to wander down to his crotch.
her fingers twitched against his belt as she struggled to unbuckle it, and her breath became more hitched. her face had not changed expression, like she only wanted to get this over with. when she would take her hands away, the only thing buck could notice was her shaking.
'wait, wait-" buck starts. "slow down for a sec."
"are you not hard?"
"well, i was, because im always hard with you, but not anymore. i can't be when you're so visibly upset."
"i'm not upset," she murmurs under her breath, down on her knees in front of him.
"and im not blind, baby," he grabs onto her side and pulls her onto his lap. "tell me whats wrong."
"he acts like i owe him everything. he acts like i do nothing for our parents and he doesn't even want me as his sister. why do i always have to make everyone happy?"
"but you need to be happy first."
"he doesn't care."
"is that an explanation for why you tried to suck me off while being so pissed?"
"i thought i'd start with making you happy," she tells. "and you love blowjobs."
buck chuckles while running a hand down her back. "but you make me the happiest. and he's a douche. you deserve more as a sister and a daughter."
y/n grins at him, her body starting to calm down against his. "thank you. you make me happy, too."
"of course, angel," buck leans back to get a better look at the beautiful girl on his lap. "we can keep going if you want, but you look tired."
"i am, but i want you to be satisfied."
"i will be fully satisfied taking you upstairs, getting changed, pouring us more wine, and laying with you all night."
"are you sure?"
"i will spend the rest of my life assuring you that that is all i ever need from you."
she places a more gently hand on his cheek, pecking him on the lips and pulling away with a smile. "i love you."
"i love you, too." he taps her hip with his finger. "now, go put on our show and change, and ill go get the pinot gris."

LONG MAY YOU ROAR [bucktommy | soft & gentle | 1k] a/n: hi uhh so this randomly popped into my head, and it's the first time i have ever really written in tommy's pov so it's far from perfect but it doesn't really make sense to tell it from another so i tried something new weee. there's some bonus sweet buckley siblings implications <3 title barely has anything to do with the fic/i do not want to be too sad about it, i just love robin from ttpd and it's about childhood so it fit... well enough. tw for mentions of canonical childhood cancer and death of a child
Tommy stands in his boyfriend’s living room, beer in one hand and he takes in the decor. He’s seen it all before but he's still getting to know the man that’s fussing over dinner in the kitchen. And there is something new, resting on the tv stand, is a photo of a boy riding a bicycle, his back toward the camera. It’s the first time Tommy has noticed it. He had never seen any pictures of a young Evan before, it never struck him as strange, not very many people kept baby pictures around their adult home – that’s why this one felt somewhat strange. There were the photo booth strips, Polaroids, and school pictures of Chris and Jee on the fridge or placed in a drawer around the loft, but no other kids were present in this space. Nothing else is so formal. He figures it has to be Evan, and it was special for some reason. So he picks it up and turns to his boyfriend who is smiling and making his way over to him, finally satisfied with letting the lasagna finish baking.
“Who is this handsome young man?” he asks, a gentle teasing lilt in his voice.
And Evan’s demeanor shifts, he’s still smiling, but it turns sad and bittersweet. His whole body sags ever so slightly. Tommy watches as his Adam's apple bobs, he takes a deep breath with his eyes closed and steps closer. He traces the edge of the frame, his eyes transfixed on the back of the bike. “This is my brother. Daniel.” Evan swallows again.
“You’ve never mentioned…Could he not make it to the wedding?” He asks, but there is a nagging feeling in the back of his mind that tells him that there is more to the story.
“You could say that,” Evan responds with a dry hough of a barely there laugh. “He, he um, he died when I was little. Leukemia. I never really knew him. Our parents–” He shakes his head.
“You don’t have to tell me anything you don’t want to.”
“I want to. It’s just, that I haven’t told the story so far removed from finding out. I told the 118 right away, while I was still numb. And the very messy deep personal feelings version to my therapist, but I’m still working through a lot. So, I don’t know. It might be hard for me to explain it all.”
“Well we can sit down to start,” He says gently with a smile. Taking Evan’s hand, running a soothing thumb over his knuckles. Evan nods and follows his lead to the couch.
“I just, it’s hard to know where to start,” Evan sighs.
“What about why you only now have this picture up?”
Evan smiles a little. “Maddie gave it to me for his birthday last week.” he clears his throat, “So, basically I didn’t even know that I had a brother until just before Jee was born.” Evan looks over at him, trying to gauge his reaction. He lets the words flow over him, and his brow scrunches, tilting his head in confusion.
“My parents kept several secrets from me, forced Maddie to keep them too, for thirty years. They all came to light when I stumbled across that picture in Maddie’s baby box. The past few years since then have been busy, and she found it again after her move and everything and had a copy made for me and had it framed. He has the right for his life to be remembered and celebrated after being a secret for so long.”
“Why was it a secret?” He lets the question slip out, “If you want to share that.”
“Well, um,” Buck ducks his head a little, “Have you ever seen My Sister's Keeper?” he asks, looking back at him with a questioning look on his face. It isn’t what Tommy is expecting in the slightest. But Tommy has seen the movie in question, and the dots slowly begin to connect. And Evan has this look in his eyes that tells him he’s right.
“Oh, Evan.”
“It just never worked for him though. Sometimes I still feel like I failed him somehow.” Evan rolls his bottom lip between his teeth. “I was always treated like a disappointment by my parents and didn’t know why until I was thirty years old, I was never going to be absolved of a sin I didn’t even know I had committed. Maddie though, she raised me. She always treated me like any kid would want to be treated. So, now we celebrate his birthday when we can and Maddie tells me about him. She always comes up with new stuff she remembers after keeping it tucked away for so long. Or how I remind her of him and stuff. It’s good for her to talk about him, and for me to hear it.”
Tommy smiles at him at that, “I have never been under the impression that your relationship with her isn’t very special. Thank you for telling me about this part of your family.”
“Well, you knew most of all the other members of my family before me, as Chimney likes to remind me.” Evan laughs and relaxes back into his arms, tucking his face into Tommy’s neck. “Thank you for listening.” he runs his fingers over his hands, “I wanted to tell you. I just never knew how to bring it up, or what base talking about a dead brother was.” He can feel Evan’s small smile against his neck, and he laughs gently too.
“Someday soon I’ll tell you about my family too.” He twists his fingers in Evan’s curls.
“Whenever you are ready. I’ll wait.” Evan places a light kiss on his jaw.
The oven beeps declaring the lasagna to be finished and Evan groans, ungluing himself from his side. Once Evan is back in the kitchen, Tommy lifts the photo up again from the coffee table and gently returns it to its home.

Okay so I didn't expect to be so inspired by this post (plus my tags), but hey, what a hiatus does to someone right? @unfuckablebogtroll thanks for the inspo!
So, here's a snippet of whatever this will be (haven't finished outlining the whole story yet) also I know nothing about how social workers work in the us, so i just did a lot of google searches to write this, let's suspend our disbelief lmao:
“I’m here to inform you that from now on your son, Scott Howards, is going to be legally put under your care and will be moved into your residency, we have made an extensive background check…”
Buck wasn’t really paying attention anymore, two words running through his mind.
Your son.
Your son.
“What do you mean son?” he had just interrupted the social worker and yet, she didn’t seem so taken aback by his clear state of shock.
“We tried to contact you these past few days, didn’t you receive our calls and email?”
That made him immediately go back and look for his phone, quickly checking everything as he went back to the front door.
Three missed calls and an email sent yesterday. They weren’t wrong, but why did it feel like they were?
“Okay… but I don’t know anything about a kid, wh-who is the mother and why am I supposed to keep him now?”
Tara explained it all, as quickly as she could, while still keeping a soothing tone in her voice. She clearly had experience in working with situations like this one, or at least some similar, based on how calmly she explained that the mother, some woman named Jessica Howards, passed away a couple of weeks ago and that there was no immediate family that could take care of Scott. The grandparents had passed away two years ago and Jessica didn’t have any siblings that could take care of the kid, so the next (or first really) on the list had to be the biological father.
Evan Buckley was a mess. Nothing in his brain was really computing, not even when the social worker told him about the boy, a six and a half year old kid who despite being named Scott, everyone just called Scotty.
“I-I…”
“I’m sorry but, how did you find Evan? And where exactly is the kid now?” Tommy had taken the lead, something he knew by now to do whenever Buck’s brain was being useless. He held his hand, rubbing his thumb against some of the knuckles in an effort of grounding Buck, which worked slowly.
“We found a letter in her belongings, it was apparently never sent but dated back to 2018, probably around the time Jessica found out she was pregnant. We also had to do some digging based on the information and found his social media which, well, led us to this moment” she sounded exhausted, it probably took them a lot of hours to even find who Evan was, it was something Tommy could respect, that level of dedication. “And Scotty… he’s actually here, I brought him in the car, you don’t have to worry about much since he had a nap today and we explained all of this to him as best as we could. He also has his own blanket and favorite toy with him, it’s been really helpful to calm him down”
Tara mentioned the documents she had in hand and that seemed to snap something in the couple’s heads. They’d been so shocked at the news they didn’t notice the bundle of papers she carried. Tara once again explained everything thoroughly, that those were all the legalities Buck had to sign in order to be granted guardianship of Scotty, and asked if they could get inside to sign papers and let the boy inside the house.
Tommy nodded and took the lead again, telling Buck to get inside with Tara while he would check on the kid. Tara agreed, stepping inside with Buck who guided her towards the dining table, while Tommy stepped into the social worker’s car.

i wasn't gonna post anything but i wrote quite a lot today and need validation lmao (I think I might be about halfway done but who knows, it always gets away from me haha) today some buckley siblings feels, and hopefully soon ill get to the fluffy christmas part haha
prev snippet
___
"(...) I used to make stuff for Maddie, and then when I was older I would save money to buy her something small and mostly symbolic.” he glances at Eddie. There’s a mix of bittersweet nostalgia and sadness on his face. “She made all my Christmases bearable, and after she left-” he stops abruptly and quietly clears his throat. When he speaks again, he doesn’t finish the sentence. Eddie wants to ask, but he figures Buck will share what he’s comfortable sharing, he doesn’t want to push. “But that was the one thing I wanted so badly, more than anything, more than any cool toys or- or anything,” he chuckles again, “and Maddie tried to give it to me, and she got in trouble for it. So after that, I just never asked again.”
“Buck.” Eddie says softly, wishing he could do anything to make it better, to fucking go back in time and give Buck all the Christmases he ever dreamt about.
“But I always wished-” Buck continues, then glances at Eddie nervously.
“Wished what?” Eddie’s thumb softly swipes along Buck’s neck and jawline, as far as he can reach. He just wants to comfort him somehow, and at the moment this is the only way he knows how, just a comforting touch, being there, listening.
“That one day, when I grew up,” Buck looks down at his lap again, his voice getting even quieter, “I’d have my own family and I’m gonna do matching Christmas sweaters every single year, and take tons of pictures of us all together, and-” he pauses again, and, with a teary laugh, raises his hand to wipe at his eyes. Eddie wants to wrap him in his arms and hold him. (...) “But it doesn’t matter, I don’t-” Buck shakes his head, and leans away from Eddie’s touch. Eddie aches to keep touching him, to reach out and follow, but he respects that clearly that’s not what Buck wants anymore, that’s fine. “I don’t have my own family yet, so it doesn't matter. Let’s just drop it.” he says, tone decisive, face red, eyes glued to the screen again.
Eddie frowns. What the hell is Buck talking about? He has a family, right here.

wait hang on all of these options sound cool as hell. can i be greedy and get a 🦸♂️ and a 🕑, please?
re: this post
(be greedy all you want with these, lol! i know i take forever to answer them but unless i'm really in a slump for the specific fic i WILL try to answer for all the fics included in an ask =D)
🦸♂️ for the Superpower AU feat. nonpilot!flying!tommy, mentor!bobby, and a buck who might literally have too much of an effect on the people around him.
Here's some of the aforementioned mentor!bobby, now with a shocking lack of dialogue tags bc i am a lazy fuck!
“You can't force yourself to feel the same as someone else,” “Maybe you can't, old man, but last time I checked, our powers work differently.” “They're similar enough. Why don't I backtrack on that last bit? Maybe then you’ll get it through your thick skull: under no circumstances should you force your empathic abilities. That's how you get people killed.” “C'mon, no one's gonna die because I had to stretch my feelings a little to save them. I'm saving them. It's not like I'm gonna decide it isn't worth it mid-link and leave them to the wolves.” “It wouldn't be up to you. Your version of ‘stretching your feelings’ means putting yourself in danger just to link up to victims we could've reached anyhow. Add the stress you put yourself under to the fact that you can barely get a solid hold on five vics at once—you're gonna wear yourself out sooner or later.” “So you were lying when you told Judge Grant you had faith in me.” “Oh, I wasn't lying, kid. That faith’s just tempered with a healthy dose of skepticism, because for some reason you insist on amping up your fear response to the point where your heart’s two seconds from beating out your chest.” “Don’t exaggerate, okay? I get the memo. I’ll dial it down—a little bit—from now on.”
bone apple teeth? onto the next fic!
🕑 for the Time Traveler!Tommy fic feat. fall out boy title inspo, pre-118 buck, post-breakup tommy, and probably smatterings of the former tommy/abby engagement
this is (unfortunately) just a very small bit of dialogue, but I wanted to post it anyway since I had to sideline @itsthecityoftheflower @the-obnoxious-sibling @sunsetandevningstar and @ladyeyrewrites who all asked for 🕑in a previous post
“Hey,” came a voice to his left, and Tommy’s gut filled with pure, unadulterated dread. “Lakers Guy! Didn't think I'd catch you somewhere without sports coverage." Oh, you had to be shitting him. This was a completely different bar from last time! It was practically on the other side of the continent, as far as L.A. was concerned. “I, uh, had to call it quits at my last job," Evan Buckley Point Zero-Nine explained. "Owner couldn't afford the rent, but that's the beauty of pop-ups, right? I've got guaranteed employment—at least until summer rolls around. Anyways!" He clapped his hands together and slid something over to him. "Here's a drink, o-on the house. Wouldn't wanna make you run out so soon.” Tommy grimaced. Well, I’m gonna be running out anyway. Sorry about that. Himbo Evan was oblivious to the dismissal. And, yes, Tommy had to call this version of Evan a himbo, for the distance it added between them if nothing else. It was only right in this freak reality where his worst nightmares seemed to come true. —Including the nightmares where Tommy had to be an asshole, whether he liked it or not. “Wasn't sure what your typical poison was,” Evan—Himbo Evan—went on, “but I did remember it came in a pretty bespoke-looking bottle—” Here, he shot Tommy a look he definitely didn’t know was flirtatious. “Let's hope my educated guess paid off.”
*meme voice* it's not much, but it's all i have? alas. hoping inspo for this fic comes easier now that i have SOMETHING written down lol
I thrive off feedback please if this makes you feel any way TELL me in the replies or w/e I'm BEGGING youuuuuu
LIKE this if you want to be added to a tag list for either fic! REBLOG to specify which tag list you'd like to be added!

summary:
Eddie shrugs. “We can just order in, it's fine.” He turns to look at Buck, mirrors his position from his spot next to the sink. “You do know you don’t have to cook every night, Buck.”
“I feel bad.” Buck admits. “I’m staying over, you buy groceries, you do laundry, you drive us to work. I wanna repay you somehow.”
Eddie shakes his head. “You’re staying over because I asked you to. I do those things because you’re my best friend and I want you to be comfortable. You don’t have to do anything to repay me.” He pauses, looks right at Buck. “You do enough by just existing by my side.”

(and you know) we're on each other's team
post 7x04 | buckley siblings | 525 words | also on ao3
“I kissed Tommy.”
Maddie, to her credit, does not choke on her coffee. She does however take way more of the hot beverage into her mouth than she intended and it burns as it goes down.
“Or, uh, he kissed me and I—I kissed him back—because I liked it—liked kissing him. And we’re, uh, he’s picking me up Saturday—for a date.”
Maddie is aware that Buck is waiting for her to say something but her—looking for her approval brain is still trying to catch up, and all she can think to ask is— “Tommy?”
“Yeah, y’know, uh, Kinard…” He trails off, staring at his hands.
Buck’s shoulders have hunched up and his entire posture is sinking in on itself in a way Maddie recognizes all too well, and—finally—her brain exits the loading screen it was stuck on.
She reaches out to place a hand over his and feels him tense and then relax ever so slightly under her touch.
“Hey,” she says softly, waiting for him to meet her eyes, “I’m proud of you, this is a big thing to discover about yourself, and I’m so proud of you for embracing it. Thank you for telling me, Evan.”
The tension drains from him completely, and Maddie gives his hands a gentle squeeze before retracting her hand.
“So, Tommy,” She leans back in her chair a bit and fixes him with her best inquisitive older sister gaze, “how’d that happen?”
“He came over to my apartment to, uh, apologize to me, actually, for ‘causing bad blood between me and Eddie’ which was—incredibly sweet but so backward because I was definitely the one causing any ‘bad blood’ with how stupid I’d been acting all ‘cause I was feeling jealous that Eddie was getting all his attention.”
Maddie blinks, reminded why her brain had stalled out before, because—yeah, that was definitely not what she was expecting the follow up to her brother’s unusual behavior this past week to be.
“You were jealous—of Eddie?”
Buck shrugs, “I mean, yeah, it explains why I was acting like a—and these are your own words—’fourteen year old girl.’”
“Right,” she studies him for a moment, he looks—at peace, in a way she’s not sure she’s ever seen him before, like a weight lifted from his shoulders. “And Tommy—he makes you happy?”
“I mean all we’ve done is kiss and talk a little ‘cause he had to leave for a shift, but—yeah. I really liked kissing him, and I’m so excited for our date—like, I don’t think I’ve felt this excited about a date with someone sincesince Abby.”
Maddie softens, because for all her issues with Abby, she knows how important that relationship was to Buck. That this is important to Buck now. That the smile on his face is one she’s never saw when he was with Ali, or Taylor, or Natalia.
That his happiness is something entirely genuine.
“Well, maybe just try avoid an emergency tracheotomy this time around?”
Buck groans, burying his head in his hands, “I never should’ve told you about that.”

9-1-1 rambles pt2 (it’s only 1 am this time)
now that i’m like taking introspective looks into like the 9-1-1 couple’s relationships I think it’s interesting how a lot of the canon couples are bolter x clinger pairings
I mean like the buckleys siblings discussed how maddie’s a bolter and buck is a clinger
chimney is a clinger i mean the whole tatiana thing and then you know boston
i think athena and bobby are a mix of both because in the early stages bobby was bolting and athena was clinging i mean the whole discussion of bobby moving in is an example but as time goes on bobby gets more secure he is a clinger and athena on the cruise and that whole arc was bolter behavior
hen and karen are hard bc they’re both very committed to each other and have had the longest relationship so neither of them are bolting or clinging but in henren begins (idk the actual title ya’ll) we literally see hen leave in the morning post date/hookup but idk if she said goodbye…im not discussing the season 1/2 cheating arc bc that’s just a different scenario but they get mad they reflect they reconcile there’s no one person doing the chasing or the distancing
buck is a clinger who stays dating bolters and even the relationships he ended they were bolters my mans got a type i guess lol…idk i think tommy could be either the restaurant was bolter behavior but once he got the confirmation buck is all in my man stays showing up so i think he has potential to be a clinger but also has self preservation skills and a fear of getting his heartbroken
lastly eddie…ngl i can’t tell u what eddie is doing it really depends on the person (i can make serious points for demisexual/demiromantic eddie diaz) but he’s overall clinging to an idea…i feel like we don’t discuss how like im 75% sure eddie has only ever been in 3 relationships his entire 33 years of life (no judgement in that) so unless he’s had his own slut era the man’s romantic experience is the equivalent of like the youths of today (again no judgement and i am one of those youths) in those 3 1/2 (Kim can be a half) experiences he’s got his idealized life and he’s tryna make it a reality and half way then he’s like wait i like the life but im not really into the person here Ana (my queen i miss you), Marisol and the idea isn’t shannon herself but the family life they almost had
truthfully idk what eddie is bc he’s clinging but bc he’s clinging he’s bolting and right now he’s doing who knows what lmao he’s building a roster i guess
anyway TLDR: everyone’s got their matching pair and eddie’s got the romantic experience of most college students (minus the kid and 1/4 of the trauma)
edit: “he’s attempting to bolt on his relationship with marisol (but not really) because he’s clinging to the idea of his relationship with shannon” my brain finally supplied an example of eddie being both so here

brick. sincerely. i need you to stop. for my own safety and sanity. please 🙏
:)
Later, Bobby will feel a little guilty for being the one who was there. It was complete chance, an entirely accidental set of circumstances. Maddie, it should have been Maddie here, or at least Maddie here too, but Chimney got caught in traffic ferrying Jee-Yun to Mrs. Lee’s before his shift started so he’d had to apologetically hand her off to Maddie at the hospital so she could finish that journey and he could go straight to the station. Hen and Athena were both at work already. The Buckley parents were off somewhere, doing something. Last they’d talked they had complained of the discomfort of waiting room chairs that Bobby had politely sat in for the better part of the last week. Eddie might have been in the hospital or might have been at home with Chris, Bobby never thought to ask afterwards. Not too far, never too far, the palpable desperation of his want to be close to Buck driving him away from the man’s side just as much as it kept him close.
So it’s just Bobby in the room, alone there for no more than 20 minutes when Buck’s eyes start moving behind their lids again. It’s happened fairly frequently over the past 24 hours since they’d taken him off the ventilator, and they’d all tried to learn not to get excited about it and failed every time. Bobby holds his breath as he watches Buck keep taking his own, following the flick back and forth of movement.
He just doesn’t think he has any more claim to Buck than any of the rest of them. He doesn’t deserve to be here more than Hen and Chimney, his siblings by choice, or Maddie, his sister by choice and blood and time and hard work. He doesn’t deserve to be here more than Eddie does, Eddie should be here, Bobby knows his heart would unbreak, seal right back up to see Buck wake again. Christopher, even, the child Buck is helping raise and is so good at doing so, should get to be in this chair at his side. It’s not fair that he - captain and sometimes friend and father only in an abstract, unspoken way that Bobby doesn’t much believe he’s done enough to earn - is the only one present when Buck’s eyes finally, finally flutter open. Bobby had forgotten, somehow, how blue they were, even this tiny peek of them.
“Nurse!”
He’s surprised his voice doesn’t crack more than it does as he calls out, but then he’s not thinking about it at all because Buck’s open eyes drift towards the sound, and Buck is looking right at him.
“Buck- Buck, hey, kid, can you hear me?” His voice shakes and so do his hands as they reach and hover over Buck’s chest and face.
Buck stares blankly at first, blinking slowly, and then his nose wrinkles in such a familiar way that it almost chokes Bobby from the inside. “B…”
“Yeah, yeah, hey, I’m right here-“
Buck blinks again, and Bobby thinks someone should turn the lights off for him, and he vaguely notices that hospital staff are rushing into the room, but then Buck’s eyes are widening and his arm is moving - moving! - and Bobby is catching his hand and Buck’s fingers are curling around his own. “Bobby,” he says, voice raspy and a little slurred and maybe the most beautiful thing Bobby has ever heard.
“Y- yeah, kid, I’m here.” He rests his free hand against Buck’s face and Buck leans into his palm, and tears well up immediately at the small amount of pressure.
Buck searches his face with a frown and Bobby wishes he knew what he was looking for so he could give it to him and smooth over the slant in his eyebrows. “You… you’re okay?”
“Yeah, kid, I’m okay, I’m right here, I’m okay.” Bobby runs a thumb over Buck’s birthmark, squeezes his hand. “It’s okay, you’re awake, your eyes are open-” he has to stop to laugh, it bubbles right up out of him even as the tears spill over. “Your eyes are open. You’re here with me, you’re awake,” he laughs again, choked up with it, and leans his forehead down to rest against Buck’s. Guilt will come later. For now everything is okay, because Evan Buckley died last week and is now nodding against him, breathing on his own, holding his hand, awake, awake, awake.

So excited for more Cranberry goodness and more of Dove as well!

🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮
Ah yay! Thank you!!!!!!

“You won’t,” Eddie says, wiping his eyes. He sounds so certain. It’s strange to Buck; he is so convicted in his faith in Buck, as much as his own self-loathing.
“I hope not,” Buck replies. “But it’d be a hell of a lot easier with my best friend.”
Eddie smiles ruefully. “I’m sorry.”
“Stop apologizing,” Buck says. “Just… Please don’t stay away because you think it’s good for me or Dove.”
Eddie nods. “To be honest with you, this afternoon was really nice. Made me feel… Nostalgic? But not in a bad way.”
Buck grins at that. “Well, you still have that key. You’re always welcome.”
“I’ll do better,” Eddie promises. “For the sake of that poor girl’s hair. I mean, someone has to teach you.”
“Sorry I didn’t have any younger siblings to use as guinea pigs!” Buck protests.
Eddie chuckles. “I’m going to head out. I want to try calling Chris. But I promise I’ll be back soon, okay?”
“Okay,” Buck nods. “Thanks again, Eddie.”
Instead of saying anything else, Eddie steps forward and pulls Buck into a hug. It’s a bit tighter than their usual friendly sort of goodbye hug. Lasts a bit longer, too. Then, it ends quickly and all at once. Eddie takes a deep breath, pulls away from Buck, and walks down the driveway towards his truck.
Buck can feel his heart thudding in his chest.

Whenever a call comes in that could turn into a city-wide emergency, Buck’s office is made aware. So they can be ready, if everything goes to shit. Sometimes - like an earthquake or tsunami - they don’t get a warning.
Today they do.
Today, a man calls 9-1-1 and claims to have planted a bomb in a multi-story office building. Which could be a prank. Or a mass casualty event. So… Buck’s involved. He’s working on putting together instructions, based on protocol, to send to the closest twenty stations, on how to respond in the case that the bomb does go off. Then, a different set of instructions for the next twenty closest stations after that.
“These are great,” his boss, Deputy Chief Carr, says when he approves them. “You did that abnormally fast.”
“Thank you, sir,” Buck replies. “I’m getting those protocols committed to memory.”
“You’re an asset here, Buckley,” Carr says before heading off to do something else.
Buck smiles softly. It feels good. He thinks of what Eddie said to his parents over dinner. Buck’s got a big career ahead of him. An important one. It used to not feel true. He thinks, now, it does. Just another one of the many ways he’s found himself again in the wake of what he lost.
He wonders about it sometimes. What life would be like if they’d saved his leg. It’s essentially some perverse form of self-torture, but how can he not? He’d still be at the 118, still be the person at the building where the bomb is planted. Being a badass, no doubt. He wouldn’t have Cranberry. Wouldn’t have spent all that time with Chris during the worst of the pandemic. He doesn’t know what things would look like between him and Eddie. Would they be together? He hopes they’d have figured it out. Why not, right? But it's hard to say for sure.

Fuck it Friday (Polyfire edition)
Working on a Polyfire project since I can never get enough of it. Figured I'd share some of the beginning with people! As always, feel free to comment if you'd like to be tagged as I work on it!
UPDATE: it has a name! It's called You're the Two and chapter 1 is on Ao3!!
===== Unnamed Polyfire Project =====
“How can one man legitimately be so awful?” Buck grabbed a bottle from the fresh bucket at their table and cracked it open. “I don’t know how you three did it for so long.” Hen sipped on her drink, her third since she’d promised ‘only one’ an hour and a half earlier. “Some of us had it easier than others. No shade, of course.” Chimney’s eyes grew wide between his bestie and Tommy. “None taken.” Tommy lounged in their booth, one arm wrapped around Buck’s shoulders. He absently fiddled with his half-emptied bottle of beer. “Gerrard’s a dick. I’m just thankful that there were some people willing to stand up and be their authentic selves around him, even if I couldn’t.” Hen seemed to accept the unvoiced apology, offering her glass in a toast. “To our authentic selves.” Eddie watched everyone lift their glasses and bottles. He lifted his bottle as well, not because he’s a believer in ‘his authentic self’, but more because, since Christopher left, he’s more just fallen in line with those around him; going through the motions, as it were. “I just wish there was something we could do that would just… stick it to him.” Buck took a large swallow of his beer. “Without getting fired, of course.” “You and Chimney could make out,” Hen offered off-handedly. “Or Eddie. Either works. That’d get under the Neanderthal's skin.” “I think that’s insulting Neanderthals.” Chimney offered. “Besides, my lips are reserved for one Buckley sibling alone.” “Fair,” Buck said with a laugh. “Besides, my boyfriend is right here… in case I haven’t mentioned my boyfriend.” “You’ve mentioned,” the table groaned good-naturedly. “I wouldn’t mind.” Tommy pressed the bottle to his lips as all the eyes at their booth rounded on him. “I know who he’s coming home to.” "That’s right, Papa Bear!” Buck twisted to plant a light kiss against Tommy’s jaw. “Gross.” Hen rolled her eyes and set her empty on the table. “This is where I check out. I don’t need to know all the pet names you have for each other.” Chimney stood up with Hen. “Same. Little girls get up earlier and earlier every day.” Eddie watched as Buck stood to hug the other two goodbye. He offered his own nods with raised bottle toward them before they left, leaving just the three of them at the table. As soon as Buck sat back down, he tucked into Tommy’s side and swiveled his gaze to Eddie. “You’ve been quieter than usual.”

9-1-1 REACTION
We finally get the conclusion for our harrowing season 7 opener! This reaction is for the season 7, third episode “Capsized” which originally aired March 28, 2024. The episode was written by Juan Carlos Coto and Lyndsey Beaulieu and directed by executive producer and Glee and American Horror Story director Bradley Buecker. Spoilers ahead!
“It’s the pungent aroma of orange people having sex.” – Kianna Harris
We begin the episode by going back to the very beginning. We are introduced to the Harris family in a scene very much reminiscent of the 1990 comedy film Home Alone starring Macauley Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern and Catherine O’Hara. We see the youngest Harris sibling, Corey (played by Leo Abelo Perry) sitting on the curb playing his Nintendo Switch while his parents Lonnie and Eliza Harris (played by Eddie Blackwell Williams and Amy Argyle) argue over who is supposed to order the car for their drive to the airport. The rest of the Harris family is rounded out by older siblings Kianna Harris (played by Kiara Muhammad) and Keshawn Harris (Samuel Dunn III) and their grandmother Darlene Harris (played by Deborah Marcano). In true Home Alone fashion, they almost leave Corey behind.
We switch over the cruise ship where Kianna and Keshawn are complaining about the smell of the ocean air. Meanwhile, Corey is still glued to his video game. We then see the Harris family walk by Norman and Lola Peterson (played by Daniel Roebuck and Romy Rosemont). Lola compliments Darlene on her hat. We also see quite a few moments of Corey nearly getting left behind including the moment when all passengers are told to evacuate the ship. When Eliza realizes Corey is not in the lifeboat with the rest of the family, she gets off in search of him. Poor Corey is blissfully unaware of the all the chaos erupting all around him until he feels the explosion several floors below. He sits up and climbs out of the top bunk. We see Corey looking out the window at the giant wave coming towards the ship.
Cue title card.
“What are you all doing on the ceiling?!” – Norman Peterson
We see the aftermath of the ship capsizing. Everyone is accounted for except for First Mate Kenneth (played by Anthony Carvello) who we last saw in the crow’s nest trying to send a distress call right before the wave hit. Since nothing was ever mentioned about the poor guy in this episode, I’m gonna assume he’s sleeping with the fishes at the bottom of the ocean. OMG, they killed Kenny! Sorry, had to do it. Speaking of people not long for this world, our belligerent and greedy passenger Jarod (played by Christopher Livingston) is lying crumpled on what used to be the ceiling. The rest of our crew is huddled around the walls of the room while Norman Peterson is still strapped to the craps table which is currently on the ceiling.
These first three episodes of the season are supposed to be an homage to the 1972 disaster film The Poseidon Adventure starring Gene Hackman and Shelley Winters, but this scene reminded me of the upside-down puzzle in the 2019 film Escape Room starring Taylor Russell, Logan Miller, and Tyler Labine. Bobby is concerned about the table Norman’s attached falling from what used to be the floor and goes to work using some red straps to fashion a rope which he uses to repel down on top of the bottom of the table. He ties the same red rope to each of the table’s legs and then uses a wrench to unscrew the bolts holding the table in place. The others down below slowly lower Bobby and Norman down. My heart was pounding so hard during this sequence. We usually don’t get to see Bobby in Tom Cruise Mission Impossible mode. He usually leaves the heroics up to Buck. Athena tells Bobby she wishes Buck could’ve seen him do what he just did. He tells her that he would’ve rather seen Buck do that.
“Bobby and Athena’s cruise ship might be missing.” – Maddie Buckley, to Howard “Chimney” Han
Back on dry land, Maddie talks with Chimney about recent events. She tells Chimney that Hen has been cleared by Chief Simpson to come back to the 118. Chimney wonders that if that’s the case, why hasn’t she come back to work. He asks Maddie how she knows all of this, and Maddie tells him about Hen’s visit to the call center. She tells him that Bobby and Athena’s cruise ship might be missing and that the Coast Guard has attempted tried to reach out but hasn’t heard anything. Chimney asks if Hen reported any of this information to the chief. Maddie says that she did, and that Chief Simpson told her to report back to work. The 118 gets a call which means Chimney and Maddie have to end their conversation. Buck asks who is missing: Bobby and Athena or Hen. Chimney says both. As the ladder truck leaves, Hen sneaks into the station before the doors close.
“I won’t be an idiot if you won’t be a selfish harlot. Too late!” – Norman Peterson, to Lola Peterson
Back on the ship, now that Norman has been lowered from the ceiling, Bobby suggests they all head to the bottom of the ship, which is now the top of the ship, remembering there’s an open hole there after the explosion. Julian (played by Rick Cosnett) thinks this is a bad idea because even if they somehow manage to make it to the top, there will be no one to save them. Lola tells him to lay down and die. Ouch! Bobby says that while they don’t know what will be waiting for them at the hull, they do know that if they continue to stay where they are, the ship will sink. The funniest part of this scene is when Bobby asks Julian to assist with moving Norman. Norman doesn’t want the man who has been having an affair with his wife to lay a finger on him. Lola tells him to not be an idiot. Norman tells all of them that if he’s going to die, he’s going to do it with dignity. With the help of the ship’s doctor, he is able to get up on his feet. The group make it out of the casino right as a grand piano falls down on the glass center causing water to rush inside.
“Nobody wants to look for a ship that hasn’t asked for help.” – Hen Wilson
Hen sneaks into the office and fills out a Los Angeles Fire Department Property Resource Requisition form. She gets a call from Maddie who tells her she’s trying to get people to take their situation seriously. Maddie asks where she is and tells her she knows she didn’t go back to the 118. Hen asks if she’s checking up on her. Maddie tells her whatever it is she’s doing she doesn’t have to do it alone. Hen tells her that she tried using official channels but that didn’t work. Now she is going another direction. Maddie asks her what that means and Hen ends the call by telling her the less she knows the better.
“I know a little about you. That little squeak you make.” – Julian Enes, to Lola Peterson
The ship is taking on water and Athena questions the path they are taking. Security Officer Wes (played Denzel Johnson) suggests using a door behind one of the cafes to access the maintenance shaft to get to higher ground. When he attempts to open the door, there’s another explosion. Security Officer Wes takes the brunt of the damage and quickly succumbs to his injuries. Bobby, Athena, and the rest of their gang are shocked by his death but press on without him. It was super sad watching the security officer’s body floating in the water. Now, just in case you’re keeping tabs on our remaining survivors, we have Bobby, Athena, the Petersons, Captain Ochoa (played by Mercedes Colon), Dr. Gibson (played by Eddie Jemison), and Julian left. At this point, the body count is rising faster than the water.
“That could be why I haven’t been getting your Christmas cards.” – Tommy Kinard, to Hen Wilson
Hen takes her requisition form over to the Los Angeles Fire Department Air Operations unit. She introduces herself as acting captain from the 118 and tells the pilot named Melton (played by Thomas Hobson) she has an emergency requisition for a chopper and pilot. Melton looks over her form and tells her he hasn’t heard anything about a missing cruise ship. Hen says the situation is fast-moving due to the hurricane. Melton continues to question Hen’s motives but thankfully an old friend comes to the rescue. Former Los Angeles firefighter Tommy Kinard (played by Lou Ferrigno Jr.) tells Melton he and Hen used to work together at the 118 back when she was just a probie. I was so happy to see Tommy. I’m a big Lou Ferrigno Jr fan and the last time we saw him was way back in season 2 in the episode “Bobby Begins Again”.
Tommy tells Hen he has a chopper fueled and ready to go. Hen is confused by all of this and asks him what going on. Tommy tells her he’s just helping out an old friend. She asks him who called him. Tommy opens the door to the chopper and Hen sees Chimney, Eddie, and Buck inside. Eddie hands her a jacket and tells her to get inside.
“C’mon, guys. Stop agreeing with each other like you’re fighting. It’s weird.” – Eddie Diaz, to Howard “Chimney” Han and Hen Wilson
Tommy flies them right into path of the hurricane. Things are really intense inside the chopper. Eddie and Buck attempt to break the tension by getting Hen and Chimney to talk to each other. Chimney is miffed because he thinks Hen doesn’t believe they all have her back. He says that they all faked having food poisoning to get them out of their shift at the 118. Hen admits that Chimney didn’t do anything wrong and that he doesn’t have to prove anything to her. Chimney tells her she didn’t do anything wrong either. Buck asks the two of them if they’re good. Hen says they’ve always been good. Chimney asks her why she didn’t reach out to them for help. Hen tells him she knew that if she told him, he’d want to tag along, and she didn’t want him to risk anything over some wild hunch she had. Buck says he will back her hunches any day of the week. No questions asked. Eddie voices his agreement. Buck says that if there’s any chance Bobby and Athena are in trouble, he doesn’t mind getting fired. Tommy says he doesn’t think anyone should be worried about getting fired because they’re probably not going to survive this mission. Yikes!
“Bobby! Bring him back to his mother and bring yourself back to me.” – Athena Grant, to Bobby Nash
Back on the ship, our crew has stumbles across Eliza Harris, mother of Corey Harris, trapped under fallen debris. While Athena attends to her, Norman and Lola have a conversation about the state of their marriage. Lola admits that she let Julian use her. When Norman asks her why, she tells him it’s because he stopped touching her. She then points out that they’ve been together since they were 17 years old and that she’s never been with another man. I actually laughed out loud when Norman responded with, “Neither have I”. He asks her if she’s fallen out of love with him. Lola says she thought she had but she was wrong. Norman says he thought they’d be together until they both died, and Lola says she still wants that. Norman says that she might still get it.
Meanwhile, Bobby is trying to pry open the door that currently has Eliza’s arm penned. He breaks open a nearby case and takes out an axe. I got really nervous watching this scene because the last time I saw an axe brought out on this show, someone lost their arm. Thankfully, Bobby uses the axes to break the handle on the door. He’s now able to slide open the door; however, he quickly realizes the door was acting as a tourniquet for Eliza’s arm. With the door moved, Eliza is bleeding profusely. Bobby sends Julian to grab some blankets out of one of the nearby cabins to use as a tourniquet. Dr. Gibson finally does the thing he purports to do and manages to stop the bleeding. Bobby tells Julian the two of them are going to have to carry Eliza but the mother of three refuses to go without her son. Captain Ochoa says that the son’s room is on deck twelve. Athena offers to go look for him, but Bobby tells her to stay put. He will be the one to go search for Corey but not before he and Athena share one of those passionate kisses you only see in the movies.
“Who cares!?” – Tommy Kinard and the 118
Tommy flies Hen, Chimney, Buck, and Eddie to the vicinity of where the ship last showed up on radar. He tells them they have about twelve minutes to search before he has to turn them around and head back. A message from Chief Simpson comes in over the radio but Tommy pretends there’s static and shuts off the radio.
“You were right. That is one big hole.” – Norman Peterson
Athena leads the others minus Bobby to the giant hole made by the explosion. Athena hears a helicopter and tells the others that whoever is searching for them is expecting to see a cruise ship, not the bottom of one. Julian climbs up to the top and attempts to fire the flare gun. He slips, falls, and dies. I hate that he died. Yes, it’s because of him that things are as dire as they are and he’s definitely to blame for the deaths of First Mate Kenneth, passenger Jarod, and Security Officer Wes. I do wish he would’ve stayed alive, so he could’ve been taken into custody. Bobby manages to locate Corey and this kid has the nerve to say, he doesn’t talk to strangers. Lola, meanwhile, goes underwater and grabs the flare gun that Julian dropped as his body plummeted into the water. Athena sends off a flare and Tommy and the others are finally able to see the capsized ship. Just as a Bobby and Corey are about to drown, Buck and Eddie open a hatch and rescue them.
“Let’s talk about it in 10 or 20.” – Norman Peterson, to Lola Peterson
Much like the episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star where Judd and Grace’s truck crashes into a lake, a lot of details of the actual rescue are glossed over in favor of a scene where we see everyone safe and reunited with their loved ones. Chief Simpson delivers a press conference and makes it seem like the rescue mission was his idea. Hen is relieved none of them are getting fired for going rogue to save Bobby and Athena. Hen thanks Maddie for tattling and Maddie says she will always have her back. I really like this scene because as I’ve said in a previous reaction, we rarely get scenes between these two characters which is funny to me considering how close Hen and Chimney are. Bobby gets off the helicopter and sees Athena. The two of them rush over to each other and share a kiss straight out of a golden age Hollywood film. Lola goes to see Norman before he is rushed off to the hospital. She asks if he’ll ever be able to forgive her. He implies they’ll talk about it after she gets out of jail. Lola is then escorted away by an officer. Bobby tells Hen he is proud of her and calls her captain.
“Alone at last.” – Bobby Nash, to Athena Grant
In the final scene of the episode, a weary Bobby and Athena return to their home with takeout food. They sit on the sofa and sit in silence. This silence is much different from the kind Athena was worried about. Bobby jokingly says he needs a vacation and Athena says she needs a toothbrush. They talk about how all of their luggage is sitting at the bottom of the ocean and share a laugh. I love how they’re both wearing very touristy T-shirts they probably got from a gift shop once they made it back to land. The two of them kiss and run off to the bedroom.
Wow! What a satisfying ending to an amazing season opener. 9-1-1 is back and better than ever and they have the ratings to prove it. Words cannot express how happy I am to have this show back on TV. The move to ABC was a brilliant idea. Not only did it save the show, but the viewership has also gone up considerably. According to the 9-1-1 page on Wikipedia, since the switch from FOX to ABC, ratings have gone up from an average of 4 million viewers to over 5 million viewers. If the show continues in this direction, there’s no doubt in my mind about getting another season.
I’m glad we got the happy ending I was wanting for this story. Yes, we lost some people along the way, but I’m especially glad Athena, Bobby, and Norman Peterson survived. I honestly feel bad for Norman and how things unfolded. He seems like a decent guy and yes, maybe he did neglect his wife, but the response to that should never have been to cheat on him and turn to a life of crime. I hope we get to see him again at some point and see that he’s moved on with his life, hopefully not with Lola. I cannot see a reality where Lola doesn’t go away for a long, long time. I wonder what her son thinks about all of this. I imagine it must’ve been really embarrassing for him to see his mother naked on a billboard pointing a gun at the LAPD and LAFD.
I’m also happy we got a happy ending for Hen and Chimney. These two are #friendgoals and I’ve never seen them fight like this before. I’m glad Hen was able to admit there were things she could’ve done better regarding the drunk driving incident, and I like that Chimney acknowledged he could have done things better as well. I’m glad that in the end, Chimney, Buck, and Eddie proved they had Hen’s back no matter what. They all risked their lives and their livelihoods to save their captain and Athena. That’s real friendship right there. I’m also glad that Tommy helped them out because he’s a big part of Hen and Chimney’s origin story at the 118.
Lastly, things seem to be back on track for Athena and Bobby. I like that their relationship issues weren’t magically remedied. They still have a lot of work to do but at least each of them understands where the other is coming from. Athena realizes that she’s not alone in the relationship and Bobby knows now that he is deserving of his second chance at love and life. I hope the next time we see them in therapy they’re together. Bobby and Athena are endgame as far as I’m concerned so I wasn’t too afraid for their relationship; however, it’s good to see that all relationships need maintenance.
This was an incredible episode, and I cannot wait to see what happens next. According to Wikipedia, we’re only getting ten episodes this season which I don’t mind. After the strikes last summer, I think most of us are just happy to have any new television right now. As far as disaster episodes go, this one has been moved to the top of my list. The tsunami episodes from season 3 and the earthquake episodes from season 2 have been shifted down to the second and third spots on my list, respectively. I look forward to more action-packed episodes on 9-1-1. Until next time …

girls will ask if you want to hear their insane theories over how we can put buck and maddie in the best saw trap of all time in 8x09 and then not wait for an answer (it’s me i’m girls)
now do i have any solid proof for this? of course not. but based on watching the 8x09 trailer in a loop for ten minutes straight i think there are some pieces of evidence that i can easily twist to suit my nefarious means:
- athena and bobby’s exchange (“something’s not right”/“almost nothing is right about it”): i’m imagining this happening at the start of the ep, when buck doesn’t show up for shift and isn’t answering his phone—maybe athena drops by his apartment for a wellness check and he’s not there either, so they ping his phone, leading to…
- the distress/relief in maddie’s voice when she says “i got his location”—not panicking because he might be fine and they’re heading to him now, but there’s an edge to her voice that reminds me of the earthquake episodes, when she knows he might be in the building but is not sure if he’s in danger or not
- also i’m totally reading into this but maddie doing dishes alone with only one light on feels like it could be after she’s been sent home early from dispatch and is trying to stay busy/keep her mind off things
- when athena says “he’s a damn serial killer” she’s on the phone with chim—she wouldn’t be telling him this so bluntly if maddie had been kidnapped already, and i don’t think she would be telling chim this at all if someone close to him weren’t involved. THUS: the buck of it all
- lastly i know everyone has already pointed out that the “maddie” sounds edited in from a different convo when athena is saying “and it looks like he took maddie with him” (also important to note that they don’t show her speaking until just after the edited part so there’s no possibility of reading her lips). so maybe she’s saying he took them?
furthermore, they’ve obviously been rehashing old traumas recently—obviously maddie has been kidnapped before, but crucially the buckley siblings have also both been held hostage and had the safety of people they love used against them (taking of dispatch/brawl in cell block) and in my personal opinion using maddie and buck against each other to control them (especially given that maddie is pregnant and buck will already be spiraling about eddie leaving) would in fact allow the 911 writers to maximize their joint slay by crushing my beating heart under their boot. in conclusion: pretty please tim. PLEASE

Tease Tidbit Tuesday
It’s still Tuesday somewhere right 😂
Tagged by @rogerzsteven and @honestlydarkprincess
This is a juicy bit from the buckley siblings time travel au so I hope you enjoy!!!
Mrs Sibley lowers the bowl as she takes a step away from the bed, the golden steam dancing across the surface of the liquid before rising up and dissipating leaving the air thick with the smell of herbs. Margaret stays where she is and Buck and Maddie, from their location at the centre of the pentagram can now see that the tip of the knife has been stuck into the vein at Daniels elbow, a slow trickle of his blood making its way along a deep carved channel along the blade of the knife.
Once the channel has filled with Daniels blood, Margaret removes the knife, holding it over the bowl and allowing the blood to run back down the blade and drip into the bowl, mixing with the contents. Suddenly the steam turns to a bright, blood red colour.
Mrs Sibley looks delighted and Margaret’s eyes go dark with pleasure, a manic grin crosses over her face as Buck and Maddie look on in horror.
The two women turn to look at Buck and Maddie and slowly walk to the edge of the circle surrounding the pentagram. Mrs Sibley has restarted her chanting and Margaret holds out the blade, eyes focused on Buck,
‘take it and fill the channel with your blood. It must be done willingly, I cannot take it from you by force. But know this. If you refuse and Daniel dies, I will ensure you will feel his pain tenfold for the entirety of your existence.’ Her eyes have gone even darker and there is an icy cold glint to them. Colder and more evil than Buck has ever seen them before. When he had called his mother a witch during his youth he had never thought it to be literally true.
Dun Dun Dun!!!!! Whatever is going to happen next?!!
(Me doing some editing and more writing is the answer!)
Not tagging anyone because I’m too tired and my brain can’t think - so post and tag me if you want to join in 😎
