The Magician - Pato O’Ward

Upright, the Magician can represent resourcefulness, willpower, skill, and determination. Reversed, it can mean manipulation, untapped talents, and deceit.

I like Pato as this card because he is all of the things it represents when upright, but is sometimes considered an untapped talent. He’s got a tendency to always be second best, or as my mom puts it, he’s always the bridesmaid, and never the bride.

I’m not sure what the next card will be, perhaps the Sun or Temperance. We’ll see.

I’m going to build off my previous answer with this one and talk a bit about aroace Jay and his views on love as he grew up. For my own musings I’m a firm “Jay uses physical touch as his main love language” truther. Growing up I’m sure that intimacy wasn’t something sacred in his household. Sure his parents would kiss all the time but they also kissed him, so it’s a little ridiculous to think that’s something you only do with your partner.

Yet as he got older and began hanging around with others kids his age, especially teen boys, this line of thinking began to shift. Hugging or holding hands wasn’t “normal” behavior, especially towards your friends. So this line of thinking sort of stopped. I don’t think until much later, when he grows closer with the ninja does it really come back. At first with Nya, someone he considers a romantic partner. It only makes sense that the two hold hands or kiss, they almost have to, it’s how relationships work after all. Yet there’s this realization that he begins to act more physical (there is probably a better word for this but my vocabulary is not big enough to know it) with the others too. They lock arms or hug all the time and none of them ever shun or push him away because of it. I think he would eventually have the dawning realization that the way he shows he loves the others shouldn’t be something that should be limited to romance. And alongside that probably comes to the conclusion too that he doesn’t actively desire romance in his life. All he wanted was a place and friends to call home, something he’s had with the other ninja since the start.

i was thinking about besides devo getting a anime the most controversial getter anime they could make is a remake of Armageddon cause despite the fact it could absolutely fix the issues the show has it be one of those things that wouldn’t be necessary and people would be sick of more arma content.

But then I thought about “okay but then they could make Kei actually trans if they had the fucking balls” and I know this would NEVER happen but that would make people seethe more then arms being remade and I found that so funny. (And yes this is very much related to my last post)
