Let’s make a Pokemon Trainer OC.

I made a post a while back about doing a poll based OC creation on this blog as a little side thing. I’ve been tinkering with my ideas and I have created a list of 5 factors for us to determine for this character. Most of which will be on tumblr, but for more personalization based polls like hair color and clothing style will be made on a separate website that allows for customized options.

They are as follows,

Region (1 of the 9 Mainline Regions. I feel like this is self-explanatory.)

Starter (I want the starter poll to have a little aspect of psuedo randomness to it. In Poll 2 I will simply ask to pick a starter TYPE and not a specific starter. Hypothetically y’all could reblog it with the region in the tags to help sway people towards the starter you want OR simply reblog it tagless and let your followers pick blindly. The choice is ultimately up to you.)

Hair Color (Will be hosted on alternate site, I have prepared a list of 20 options which i tried to make as diverse as possible. Including Natural and Technicolored/Dyed hair.)

Pronouns (Tumblr hosted poll. I know there are a lot of neopronouns that could be included into this but I’d rather keep things relatively simple and limit it to 5 options. He, She, They, Xe, & It.)

Hat (Alt Site based poll. Every protag trainer needs a cool head accessory, it’s kinda part of the deal. So once again I have made a list of 20 different styles of hats. Admittedly I don’t know fashion so i scrounged the internet for a solid 2 hours last night studying hats.)

Once we get through these polls I’ll see how we feel about continuing this project. But for now, stay tuned and stay training! 👍

Allow me to re-introduce myself

Baby, the name is VixenPen. I was, am, and always will be THAT BITCH (pronouns)

The stuff you children and white girls write about (badly) I’ve actually lived it. Having men pay for baecations for me and my girlfriend, put me up in luxury, giving me money just because I ask for it, I have ALWAYS lived the lifestyle I’ve written about. Which is why my work is so good whether I have 5 readers or 5,000. The shit I write is true (imagine being mad when you could just learn😂)

The phone I took these pics on, the outfit I’m wearing, that was all bought for me just for being ME. So, no, there is nothing y’all can say to shake me, but it’s fun watching y’all try.

Now, I started this blog just before COVID to practice my writing skills as I worked on my now published novels.

Now, as I’ve always said; my page is for BLACKKKKKKKK WOMEEEEENNNNN first and foremost and so is my entire life. I live and die by BLACK WOMEN (starting with myself) of whom I am my biggest fan. So, black women are my main target priority when I write my fics.

I write mainly NSFW and only a handful of fandoms because I live in reality and have an actual life that I enjoy so I don’t escape into a lot of fantasy worlds (no offense if that’s your thing but all offense if you can’t separate the two yet as I know many babies can’t do yet.)

Eventually, I’ll make a new Rules and Masterlist Page to start re-vamping my page, but until then, enjoy whatever work you can find and just know this: I’ve been on the internet for 24 years so nothing a bunch of children still learning cognitive functioning can DM, post in an ask box, or tag me in hurt me. I’m too grown for that 🤷🏾‍♀️

LIFE UPDATE

Mentally I feel like was been struggling to create content, art, write and even interact on social media, due to massive adhd burnout, during the past few months and year. I feel like I let y’all down but I’m slowly returning to my blogs an social media.

This blog grew super fast and which scared, then overwhelmed me. I got overstimulated and started overthinking everything. I also think I got overzealous and started too many small projects, confusing myself even more. I’m still learning that I need to keep things simplified for the good of my adhd challenged brain while struggling with executive function despite my grand ambitions. Slowing down, for the sake of clarity is something I’ll always have to work at.

Spiritually I’ve grown so much on my path in Hoodoo which has been incredible. I don’t know if I should make that a separate post for later but I just feel incredibly blessed and even more connected to myself, my people and the world around me. I’ve gotten wiser and I’m forever grateful for all things Hoodoo, it’s saved my life. I’ve watched people come in and out of this community, by way of the church, disinterest, witch wars and even psychosis. I’ve learned a great deal about myself and my own mental health, which has empowered me further. I’ve laughed, I’ve learned, I’ve thrown hands with big dogs and made peace with and gained more understanding of the metaphysical realm.

Most importantly my faith and hope in life has been restored, knowing that I no longer will be a victim of injustice. I’m blessed to know how to conjure justice, swiftly and without fail. No longer with head on swivel or on edge as a black woman, it’s given me deep sense of peace and relief. No longer a victim of unlucky circumstances, I am the captain of my own ship. It’s all so scary, exhilarating and mind blowing at the same time. It’s a feeling I wish and pray for every black person to experience in their lifetime. It is a weight that I hate to see us carry, which is why I do my best to spread the love of Hoodoo all around.

I’ve worked and will continue to work hard on my ancestral journey, choosing to venerate them over worship. Through veneration, I’m breaking inter generational trauma, curses and chains and laying the groundwork for a better life for my entire bloodline.

In the meantime, Happy Hoodoo Heritage Month!!

I make art a lot and hope to work on animations soon!

I’m the creator of Wishtale that I currently only have an old ref sheet of Wish! sans (which I haven’t Wishtale worked on in a long while), and Monarch! Sans in the utmv community! And I also have my persona that ironically is also named Wish until I figure out a better name lol!

I’m a part of a lot of different fandoms, but the one I post the most about is utmv, although I do occasionally talk about fnaf, Jujitsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, and vocaloids!

IT’S MY BIRTHDAY Y’ALL!!!

Last year of being a fucking teenager! LET’S GOOO!

I wanted to make a special post. But I was too busy drawing Squirrel and Hedgehog characters inspired by the main six ponies from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I wonder what is the crossover between the SaH and MLP fandom. I know of one blog.

First of all we got Rainbow Dash as a crow captain. I think this is the first time I’m posting my new way of drawing antro birds. Previously I drew them with hands. They were supposed to be like rolled up wings but I don’t think I conveyed it visually. It was funny to imagine them flying by just flapping their hands about. Like the bird people in Bojack Horseman and Tuca and Birdy. It works for those shows but not for my edgy Squirrel and Hedgehog AU.

I made Rainbow Dash a crow because WE NEED MORE CROW OCs. The crows in the show are treated horribly! There’s no named crow character and when they show up they’re usually beaten up and killed. I want to make a crow OC challenge where we all make a crow OC (duh). I’ll probably make a separate shorter post announcing it. I don’t know how many people actually read these rambles. But you can start drawing your OCs if you want.

Now. Back on topic. Rainbow Dash. Her backstory. Simple. I’ve got NO IDEAS. Personality wise she’s the same as the show. Bossy tomboy.

Next up. Fluttershy. I never actually drawn a duck besides Murori. Well. And a couple background ducks. Which reminds me I should add wings to them.

There’s a little more to her. Once again. Personality same as the show. She didn’t want to join the military. Obviously, look at her! In my AU the Duck Village is very patriarchal. Women aren’t even allowed to fly. Fluttershy would be fine with that. But tough luck. With the war everyone who can fly has to apply.

Lastly for today Pinkie Pie. I could have done the pun of Porkie Pie but… just as with crows we need more rabbit OCs. I’ve seen one and that’s it.

The backstory for her is that she ran away from her abusive family to Flower Hill. She’s always cheerful and bit of a clown. Believing everyone deserves a laugh especially during something as tough as a war.

I had fun designing all of them. I’ve been watching a lot of Jackie Drojko on YouTube so I know this is far from a professional job. But I had fun with choosing the colours. Adding little details such as making Pinkie Pie extra fluffy and doing the colourful bangs. The second batch is going to be better. I got more used to drawing digitally again. I thought these glorified sketches would be done faster digitally.

Renegade in Reverie Introduction

For my 6th year anniversary for playing MMR/NH, and my 5th tumblr anniversary for @incorrectmmr, I decided to make a separate tumblr account for my oc Iris’s story, which is titled Renegade in Reverie. I have been planning and brainstorming the plot for 5 years now, and it somehow became a complicated mess of a plot.

To this day, the plot still hasn’t been polished, nor had the first draft been written yet, but I still want to share the plot through other means like oneshots or headcanons. I may even spoil my own story if I take even longer to write (but if you follow me on instagram, you’ve already been spoiled haha).

Iris is just an ordinary girl in her ordinary world. But ordinary is pretty boring, isn’t it? It’s safe, but where’s the fun in that? On the night of a red moon, she made a wish for an exciting life, and sunk to the world of Nightmare! An ordinary girl thrown into an ordinary world full of demons and angels; is it heaven, or hell? The change in scenery is a sudden wake-up call to the incompetent, sheltered human.

The story idea should have answered a simple question: What would happen if MC signed the contract in Kaim’s route? However, over the years, it had somehow developed into a multiverse of a story, but only because I’m indecisive and like to explore the potential of possibilities.

I do experiment with Iris’s dynamic with other characters as well, but they’re probably not included in the story.

about venture bros: so the venture bros hyperfixation isn’t as strong as it was. i obviously still absolutely love vbros and it’s one of my favorite shows ever but i just don’t find myself thinking about it in my spare time as much (aside from gary). i think at this point you could say i have a gary hyperfixation more than a vbros fixation hahaha but that’s ok!! i’ve been super into yakuza and one piece lately and i know my interests are bound to fluctuate :)

about gary: gary is and always will be my number 1 fo. even though i’m becoming more attached to characters in other media i truly don’t think anyone can top him, i think the bond i have with gary’s character just feels so different compared to my other fos. he still gives me insane stomach butterflies and i can feel my face flush whenever i think about him

Like it doesn’t matter how many people follow or unfollow me. I’m just connecting the dots. And it’s not all my work to do, I love it when you guys like my stuff but it also takes reblogging too to keep pushing works out further for more people to see.

Hi Mollie’s anons! I wanna preface this by saying I do not work directly with anyone on the Elvis cast or people connected directly to them which I let Mollie know, during awards season I was able to be in close proximity to them/their teams and when I seen Mollie nervous over whether Olivia was attending I thought why not share some fun harmless gossip with her. And yes please always be careful when getting anonymous information lol, I tell Mollie when I don’t see or hear things directly and it comes from other publicists/assistants. Because of my career position I really can’t risk coming off anon and being traced but I have been thinking of making a secret separate blog where I only communicate with Mollie because the gate keeping thing can come off annoying. Might not though because awards season is over so I doubt I’ll have any inside scoop regarding Austin or any of the Elvis cast unless they work with the agency I’m at/or with one of my clients but I do wish I could get Mollie’s specific reactions to certain things lmao. I wasn’t logged on when the whole “Austin is performing” thing was happening but I wish I was, I would have debunked that for you Mollie! And like Mollie said nothing has been earth shattering news it’s only small things like what they do behind the scenes/I was privy to knowing what brand Olivia and Kaia were gonna wear/I shared the names visible on the Elvis cast invite list, it’s only little things like that since I am not on their teams. I know Kate but she is a professional and does not share “gossip” over her clients unlike other loose lipped publicists. Kaia and Austin are not PR I’m sorry to burst a lot of ya’ll’s bubbles and simply because of that a lot of you will think I’m lying I’m sure but nope, they are together and I was not surprised Kaia posted Austin on her story because their thing was Austin didn’t want another of his relationships so strongly attached to his career again and Kaia respected that during Elvis awards season. Austin and Kaia have run line togethers for their projects which is a story that was shared with me that I thought was cute. I’m not sure what else I’m comfortable sharing that I’ve shared with Mollie - maybe the Vanessa having her assistant continuously check to ensure she wasn’t interviewing Austin story? That was funny. When she noticed a few of us laughing she said “Yeah things can get awkward.” And started laughing herself. I send Mollie long paragraphs I think so it’s hard to remember every little thing I’ve shared 😭 Maybe Mollie can refresh my memory in code if she thinks there is something I can share? I’m not sure but nothing earth shattering I’m not in the know like that guys !

I have moved blogs

I know I know, I haven’t been active on here in well over a year anyways, so who knows if anyone is still even paying attention here, but I figured a formal announcement was warranted to put an end to this and actually separate from it mentally. My life now is very different from how it was when I was running this blog. I’m engaged now, for one, which is really cool despite the looming stress of wedding planning. I’m also in much healthier relationships now in like every aspect of the word. And in all of this, I have purposefully and completely separated myself from Dark Academia and just the “academia aesthetic family” as a whole because I realized that not only is it disingenuous to who I am/want to be, but it was also trapping me in a perfectionist burn out cycle where I’d romanticize my unhealthy coping mechanisms instead of prioritizing healing.

Don’t get me wrong, I love learning— I’ve always loved learning and literature and Shakespeare and the Humanities and I’m sure I always will. But what I was doing was making academics and nihilism and unhealthy prioritization of intelligence at all costs my entire life and, frankly, it was making my depression worse in ways that I won’t go into detail about. So I stepped away from it and have been faced with the terrifying and thrilling journey of figuring out the person I actually am versus the person my trauma made me become.

I realize this all sounds very dramatic because let’s be honest, it���s just an aesthetic at the end of the day. But I got myself stuck in that perfectionist pretension cycle long before there was a name and a burgeoning social media subculture that I could hide behind. So when I say that I’ve had to figure out who I am outside of it, that’s what I mean. My wonderful fiancé has been a huge positive influence and aid in this rediscovery journey. He’s the best and his mission to live authentically to himself has been inspiring, to say the least. I’m eternally grateful for him.

So all of that is to say, this is the end of the road for this blog. I can’t delete it, because my new blog(s) are tied to this account, but it will sit and slowly decay for the rest of time, which is fitting, I think. I’ll likely still share important Palestine support resources here because I know this is where my audience lies, but nothing past that will make an appearance.

I have moved my main blog to @wayfaringwren where the vibes have been so much more positive. It hosts my love of 60s-70s music and subculture, my passion for nature and sustainability, and the occasional appearance of my “woo-woo hippie” beliefs. I’m so much happier and feel much more fulfilled with it.

I also have a (hopefully soon to begin) blog at @afriendlymischief to document my cozy gaming. It will primarily be Sims 4 content, so if that piques your interest, I’d love for you to join me.

For those who’ve said yes (which was the majority): well- wow, I honestly wasn’t expecting you guys to say yes :,). I love talking about this show, and I know I’ve seen two people who told me to separate the art from the artist, while I do understand and I’ll do so, I just wanted to hear the voices first before I make any decisions. As at the end of the day, voices do matter. So with that, as my good omens hyperfixation is not going away anytime soon, I will continue to talk about it. I love this show. And I do have ideas on what to post and drawing, so stay tone. Again, I was not expecting the majority to say yes, especially since I never would’ve thought people would still want me to talk about good omens. But for those who’ve said yes, thanks. But what I will say for you guys, please go help out and spread awareness about what’s going on in the Middle East (with proper research of course) and please help out. And again and I cannot stress this enough, please do not attack/harass Neil Gaiman and do not be antisemitic or even spread antisemitism.

With that being said, I do hope you guys are doing good, hope y’all drink water and hopefully you guys are having an amazing day. If not, I’m sorry and it okay because me neither, so I hope other days get better. *gives you mozzarella sticks to hope to feel better*. Also yes. The confirmation that Aziraphale face meant “do it again” made me boo-hoo cry. Jesus, my heart breaks for him. Oh how I relate to this character. (I might make a post about it.)

Roleplaying Guidelines

MOST IMPORTANT

This is an independent, OC-friendly, multi-ship, multi-verse blog.  Don’t know what any of that means?  It’s okay to ask me.  :)  Or you can check out my Roleplay Glossary.

I am OLD.  No, really.  Probably ancient by tumblr standards.  If you’re not comfortable writing with someone 35+ then you should walk away now.

I am SLOW.  Like… REALLY SLOW.  I usually manage to reply once every 4-6 months.  Sometimes it’s less, but not often. (Maybe that will pick up now that everyone’s on one blog, but I can’t promise.)

I rarely seek out interactions for myself.  If you found this blog on your own and I didn’t direct you here, then please be aware that you’ll have to approach me if you want to get something started with anyone.

Some of these muses haven’t been used in YEARS, but they’re not ‘side’ muses.  I just haven’t had anyone ask or show interest in them lately.  Some of them I’ve NEVER written with before.  But you can be the first!  :D  If you’re interested, then I am 100% ready and willing to write as that muse.  Please don’t be afraid to ask.

ABOUT RPING

All of my muses are multi-verse, which means all interactions will take place separately unless otherwise plotted.  I’ll RP with different versions of the same canon characters because everyone has their own interpretations and it’s fun to see how my muses react to different versions.  Please don’t let jealousy be a thing.  I love all of y’all equally, I swear.

I’m (obviously) okay with original characters and blogs with multiple muses.  (It would be a little hypocritical if I wasn’t, right?)

I am open to RPing with just about anyone.  If we can find a way to make it work, then I’m good with any gender, any fandom, any sexuality, and any faceclaim (real or cartoon).  I’m not okay with blogs that RP as living people or as people who’ve recently died. I feel it’s disrespectful.  You can follow me; I won’t block you or anything, but we won’t be RPing.  I’m generally okay with historical blogs, but will examine them individually before following.

My blogs aren’t Mutuals-Only, but I reserve the right to turn down RPs when and if I feel like it.  Please respect my choices.  Thank you.

In regards to starters, memes, etc. please send me the post number (which can be found in the web address) (ex. 683404661423767552) so I know which one you’re wanting me to do.  ^_^ Here’s an example of what it looks like:

Also, if you don’t specify a muse for muse things, I will literally put them all in a randomizer and reply using the first one that pops up.  Which is fun for me, of course, but may not be what you were wanting.  ;P

I LOVE crossovers and AUs!  Even when I’m not familiar with the fandom.  :)  Just because I’m clueless about your fandom doesn’t mean we can’t write together.  All I ask is for your patience when dealing with my lack of knowledge.  :)

A firm reminder that OOC =/= IC. My ideals and morals aren’t reflected in the expressions/actions/and thoughts of my muses. If a muse has said or done something IC that makes you upset OOC, then talk to me about it.  I promise to listen and converse with you rationally about whatever’s happened.  I also expect to be treated the same in return.  If I have any reason to believe you’re having trouble finding the line between the two, I’ll come to you to talk about it.  Politely, of course.    

In-character drama and angst is something I love and live for!  Out-of-character drama and angst won’t be tolerated.  Life is too short for the petty squabbles of you, your friends, and/or some other random internet stranger.  Posting callouts OF ANY KIND is probably the fastest way to get a soft-block from me.  Asking/demanding I choose sides of ANY KIND will likely result in the same.  Been there, done that.  I WILL NOT be dragged into ‘he said/she said/I’ve got screencaps’ levels of drama.  If you try, you WILL lose me as a partner.  No exceptions.

ABOUT MY WRITING

As far as grammar and spelling and punctuation and such - I fully respect those of you for whom English isn’t your first language.  I also respect those of you who have learning disabilities.  However - if I cannot understand your messages or your replies well enough to form a decent response, we’re not going to work as writing partners.  I’m sorry; it’s not personal.

I generally prefer to do at least a little plotting beforehand, but starters and the like can still be sent, I don’t mind getting things started between our muses that way.  You can find some of my favorite starters here.  Just remember to specify which muse you want and (if it’s a symbol, number, word, etc.) which post it came from.

In regards to formatting of any kind (small font, icons, font embellishments, etc.) I’m okay to let you do you as long as you’re okay to let me do me.

I’m okay with minor god-modding.  If you need my muse to follow yours somewhere or something along those lines, and you don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t, then it’s okay to do it.  Let’s save us both some additional writing time.  But for anything major or where you’re unsure what my muse would do, please talk to me first.  The same goes for meta-gaming. Unless your character has a real reason to know things about mine, please don’t do it.  You’ll get one warning, and after that I reserve the right to drop our RP.  Not sure what those terms mean?  Take a look at my Roleplay Glossary to find out.

In that same vein - several  of my muses have various forms of enhanced perception.  Please DO NOT try to circumvent their skills by not telling me something that my muse SHOULD have noticed, and then having it come up in the RP.  If you’re not sure they’d notice, tell me in advance and we’ll figure out how to make things work best for both of us.  I’ll also do my best to inform you in advance of anything special about the specific muse you’ve chosen.

I like for my roleplays to have an ending.  It doesn’t matter how long or how short the roleplay itself is, I just want it to have an obvious stopping point.  If our roleplays seem to constantly die/get dropped rather than receive proper endings, I’m less likely to seek out future interactions.  It’s nothing against you, it’s just how I prefer my roleplaying experience to be.  We can still be friends and support each other within the community, we just won’t make good writing partners.

I tend to write A LOT.  I like to explore my characters’ thoughts, and I like to explore back stories, and I like to offer up scene details.  The length of my reply will never require a reply of similar length from you.  As long as I have a way to reply, I’m not going to get upset if I write you 6 paragraphs, and you only reply with 2.

That being said, if you prefer one-liner RPs, we’re probably not going to mesh well as partners.  I just can’t do them, and I don’t want to force you to do something longer just to RP with me.

ABOUT SHIPS, ROMANCE, and NSFW

Chemistry.  Not just between the characters, but between the two of us as writers.  It NEEDS to be there.

I am well over the age of 18 - as are all of my muses - so smut could happen.  It’ll always be tagged NSFW. If I miss something, tell me and I’ll fix it.

More about smut - if you’re not 18 or older, it’s not going to happen.  Not even ‘Fade-to-Black’ scenes.  No exceptions.  Please don’t misrepresent yourself to me in order to write smut.

Other NSFW topics - I’m okay with almost anything with the right plotting.  Please DON’T just throw it at me!  Ask and we’ll talk.  Also, please don’t think I will throw anything at you, either.  I won’t.  I take dark subjects seriously and believe things should always be discussed first.  However, some of my characters have dark back stories, and it is entirely possible that things might get referenced, so be aware of this when asking for certain muses if you think that might be an issue.

I don’t have triggers and I don’t tag them with CW or TW or any of that.  Everything I consider ‘questionable content’ is generally lumped under the NSFW tag.  Usually, if I’m posting about spiders or clowns or gore or whatever, I will tag it that way.  So, as long as you have the main words flagged, we should be good.  If we’re writing together and there is something you REALLY have an issue with and it’s slipping through your filters for some reason, come talk to me and we can try to work something out.

A FEW MORE THINGS TO KNOW

If I’ve followed you, I’ve read your rules. In fact, if I’ve got any intention of writing with you, I’ve probably read them more than once.  But I DON’T send in passwords. Or ‘like’ posts or anything of that nature.  No exceptions. I’m sorry.  If your rules require a password and you follow me first I’ll assume you’ve read this rule and decided to make an exception for me.  I DO NOT follow blogs that ask for passwords (or anything similar) first.  EVER.

Follow backs will generally occur as long as you’re a roleplay blog.  However - I do have a few reasons I won’t.  It doesn’t necessarily mean I don’t want to RP, it typically just means I have reasons that I don’t want what’s on your blog on my dash.  It’s nothing personal, and you can still ask for an RP and we’ll talk.

If you've got a DNI list of any kind - whether I agree with it or not - RPing isn't going to happen.  Due to past experiences, DNI lists are synonymous with drama for me.  You may have your reasons for having one, and I respect those reasons.  However, for my own peace of mind, I can't interact with blogs that have a list like this.

Contact me however is best/easiest for you, but please don’t expect instant replies - even when it looks like I’m online.

If you haven’t heard from me in 5+ days after sending me a message, give me another nudge.  I might’ve read it and forgotten to reply… or read it and thought I replied… or Tumblr might’ve eaten it.

If we’re writing together, I can offer you my discord handle on request.  That’s actually the quickest way to get in touch with me because I have access to it practically everywhere, even while at work.

DO NOT be gas-lighty or passive-aggressive with me.  EVER.  I’ve been there, done that, and I REFUSE to put up with that kind of nonsense.  You’ll get one warning (and the offer to talk things out.)  That’s it.  After that, all bets are off.
