When we find out that the elves were spirits there's a whole debate about whether or not we should tell people. Why don't we do that when we find out that some of the core beliefs of Andrastianism are a lie?

#I would be telling everybody.#veilguard spoilers #what's the downside?#Oh no; the Chantry; who has been abusing its power for centuries; might lose some of its power?#People might start to question things and stop blindly believe in the Chantry's way of viewing and teaching things?#Gasp! The horror!#Like I know why we told no one about the elves. Those were some very good points and I agree with keeping that one quiet #But why can't I tell people and the Chantry that the Chant of Light is wrong actually #Also it could have brought up interesting discussions about what's more important: faith or truth?#Because faith has a place in people's lives and in society. Is that worth preserving even if it's proven false?#How do you reconcile that? What do you do with all that misplaced faith now?#It would've been a neat topic to get into.#I know had some really good points to say about this topic when I was walking home from work last night but I don't remember them #Maybe I should start recording myself ranting about stuff while I walk so i can go back and pick out the good parts

Was looking at refs and since Viktor has two different leg braces I was wondering, do we think he wears them simultaneously?? The refs don't perfectly line up perspective-wise so it's hard to tell but parts of the one he wears during the Hexcore scenes look like they could maybe line up with the brace that he wears over his clothes, but also some parts really don't and look like they'd be super uncomfy. Also HOW does he take these on and off. Experts weigh in

#viktor #arcane #ig my assumption would be that he wears both simultaneously cause in the scene where he injects the shimmer #it seems implied that he just threw off his clothes and kept experimenting #so one might assume he was already wearing the smaller one underneath #tho it is a funny image to think of him just being like 'one sec i gotta go all the way home and grab my other brace to do this'#he can take off the back brace too cause hes not wearing it in the scene where he's in the hospital bed and you can see his shoulder #where the strap would be #but that one seems to make even less sense functionality wise #everything looks like its screwed together #or screwed INTO him #but only the top bolts on his spine are i think #in the close ups of his back brace model it looks like theres cushioning underneath the parts of it that cover the rest of his spine #so he can take it off. but HOW #what parts of it unscrew/detatch to pull open and off #does it not do that at all and he just has to shimmy it off his shoulder and all the way down his legs to get it off like a romper #the shape language of the designs are cool but like. tell me how it wooorrkkksss #forgive me if im just dumb and dont know at all how braces work and theres a very simple practical explanation for all this #any king who wants to infodump about mobility aids at me....the floor is yours #something to be said i suppose about the fact that zaunites have crazy prosthetics with wild augmentations that work flawlessly #and piltover's like. idk heres some fucking uncomfortable ass metal. salo gets wheelchair in non ada compliant place #they havent ever needed to adapt to accommodate disabilities etc etc #or maybe artists were just like 'heres a design' and everybody clapped and didnt give it a second thought #and then they just turned off the visibility on the mesh when they didnt need it knowing thered not be a scene where its taken off #dont even wanna THINK about what that rig would look like #like 40 different controllers #soft body and rigid hard surfaces needing to move together....#a cold chill just shot up my spine #<- guy who is only an animator and doesnt know how to rig #forgive the magic wand tool with zero cleanup. i am lazy

You!! Hey you!! Are you looking for a pair of kittens? Do you live In Or Near Oklahoma? Do you wish you could listen to purring all the time? Do you want a cat that looks like an aye-aye?

long story short, we found these two kittens at the bottom of a garbage can!! I don't like to think about how they ended up in there- but we heard them crying while on a walk, and it's very lucky they were so loud! They were scared at first, but now they NEED to be snuggled at all times. Crazy how adaptable kittens are. I'd prefer to rehome them as a pair, but I'd consider adopting them out individually if that's my only option! Please IM me if you're interested in both/either of these babies, or if you have any questions at all!!

Rereading the Our Worlds at War tie-in again and God I miss their friendship every day

#they're such an underrated dynamic from this series #like throughout yj98 there's a definite distance between tim and everybody else since he can't reveal his identity to them #and cassie is definitely way closer to cissie and kon and bart than she is to him bc of that distance #and you can feel that awkwardness here in the way she apologizes to him immediately -- they're not at the level #where she can just shout and be mean to him and know it'll be fine -- not like she is with cissie or kon #but for tim -- i think he is at that level? like he wouldn't shout at her either but that's cause he's generally sweet to the yj girls #he doesn't butt heads with cassie like he does with the guys - but i also think she's someone he trusts to have his back in a very real way #and i think it's really telling that when everybody was confronting him about batman's contingencies it was CASSIE'S opinion #he asked for -- like she was the last person he thought would think that of him #obligatory 'the two people who died in his granny goodness nightmare were cassie and kon'#idk there's such an undercurrent of care even if they don't get as many 'this is my best friend' moments like some of the others #aghhhh #and the way cassie so clearly respects his opinion and is so worried he'll be mad at her when she replaces him as leader #the way she's the first one to hug him when he comes back to the team after he quits #oof. #the key thing would be deciding who all is in the party when the doubles happen #luo binghe #liu qingge #shen qingqiu #and yue qingyuan #seem like the most obvious candidates #so far the only 'telling traits' I can think of would be #1) Shen Qingqiu's 'Luo Binghe' is impossibly suave and hits on any female figures within a radius #which leads everybody else to say 'Yeah that's fake' because they all know LBH only has eyes for SQQ #and 2) I think Yue Qingyuan's 'Shen Qingqiu' is kind of ragged and underfed #even now #he can't stop seeing him that way. a little bit.#oh 3) luo binghe's 'Liu Qingge' would just be OFFENSIVE. probably his 'YQY' too.#4) if Shang Qinghua is in the group that's going to make things difficult #because shang qinghua's doubles are almost all perfect #except for Shang Qinghua's 'Shen Qingqiu'#who he definitely gets wrong in some way #because Shen Qingqiu is the only one here that Shang Qinghua did not create

Hey, if you have speech impediments, you are so amazing.

If you stutter or have a lisp or misspeak easily or you have a flat affect or a limited verbal vocabulary or if your voice is AAC or if you just have a difference in your vocality, you are so incredibly important and amazing.

Just know that your voice is yours. Nobody will ever be able to truly take it away. Your voice is part of you, and you deserve to make it as true to you as you deem fit. I hope you have the space to grow with your voice and whatever about it makes it unique.

#positivity #disability positivity #partially because so much of voical differences arise from disability #i've developed a really annoying lisp-ish issue #and it's hard to be positive about it because it makes me feel like i'll be treated as lesser because it's a 'childish' affect #but i literally can't help it unless i spend 110% of my focus on it. and i don't have that amount of energy #but it makes me think about others and especially those who have it more intensely than i do #and i just want to uplift everybody because vocal differences are neutral at worst #man my dad always tells a story about this coworker he had who had a stutter like you wouldn't believe...#...and he was fucking BRUTALIZED for it... 'c-c-c-c-CAN YOU GET TO THE POINT?!' is how people would talk to him...#...and obviously that made his stutter twice as fucking worse and i can't imagine the shame and humiliation that followed...#...i hope he learned that those assholes were a fucking waste of time and that he doesn't have to deal with that...#...like i'm sorry but there is no fucking need to be that sadistic toward somebody who is obviously already anxious and worried

Killer goes stage 3 when Nightmare isn't around, so the boys have to contain and calm him down themselves. Luckily they know what they're doing and make a good team, so nobody gets hurt.

#UTDR #UTMV #Killer Sans #Cross Sans #Horror Sans #Dust Sans #My Art #Truce au #Look I cleaned up those sketches!#And added some new ones because I was having fun with them #If you're wondering about what happened #Killer always seems to go for Dust first when he loses control so Dust is the one that gets the knife away from him #After that Horror restrains him since he's the strongest physically #And Cross tries to talk him down since he's had training in the royal guard to stay calm in dangerous situations #Dust stays on alert to blast him if things get out of hand #(Not because he really hates Killer and sees a chance to hurt him #but because Killer had asked him to make sure he doesn't hurt any of them like this. He would never forgive himself)#After Killer calmed down they had a little quiet movie night since everybody was kinda drained #And subsequently forgot to tell Nightmare when he got home (oops)#It's fine he's proud of them and only mostly stressed out by this news
