ok so. i was cleaning out my pictures folder today. and i happened to come across a sketch from 2021 that may or may not be related to the same concept as this. but like a. darker, edgier version. if you catch my drift.

but the thing is i do NOT see myself finishing it, seeing as it's already been nearly 4 years since i sketched it out and i'm still fighting the burnout demons from hell and all that. but it IS very silly to me and frankly very good timing for me to have found this sketch right now

so basically what i'm wondering is would any of y'all be interested in like a dtiys / open collab type of thing with underfell papyrus as shadow the hedgehog

i've admittedly already tweaked it a good bit & i'd probably clean it up a lil more just for clarity if i actually go through with this but for now i just wanna see if i can rope anyone else into being insane with me. its actually pretty fun messing with the design & proportions to try and fit the silhouette of a very cartoonish hedgehog and i'd love to see other ppl's takes on it

Ended up making a wof character when I was away from the house yesterday. Haven’t used procreate in ages so I had to make myself a new brush for it lol

Got home and redrew her on csp, think I’m gonna name her Mirage (she’s a sandwing/icewing hybrid). I honestly just really wanted to make a sandwing oc with the headshape I’ve been messing around with for a headcanon. Then the visual addition of icewing features sounded super cool (ahah).

Weird question I know, but: do you have a particular piece of work you feel proud of? what was the process of making it?

Prob these ones, I don't really feel capable of making something like this once again since I came up to a style absent of color and expressions, which makes Me feel kinda rusty when talking about making pieces like this again cuz I already feel "nailed" with this style I'm currently drawing most of my pieces on.

and the process, well, about the second image, it took me around a week or so, the biggest issues I had were the kangaroo's jeans shorts and the weights circles, mostly because I was not convinced about the perspective I drew them in, and re drawing and redrawing and redrawing every part for them to look as good as possible because "perfectionist mind".

About the first image I can't really remember it that well cuz it was years ago, back when I had like 100 twitter followers and this tumblr didn't even exist, I think I just was letting my feelings for the charatcer flow, like, drawing with the heart instead of my hands lol

In short terms, I became lazy and I don't feel energic enough like I was back in the day

The Beserker's Bride Wedding

Good lord almighty, ya'll have no idea how much time and work went into this one. The trims, decorations, jewelry and wristbands were all created drawn individually and added in, the trims were heavily based off/redrawn from several internet images and artwork, mostly tattoo inspiration lol. Also Daria Andrieieva -check out her cool work!- was a major source for the trim redraws. I probs would have drawn everything from scratch but I dont currently have access to a scanner. Every time I thought I was done I kept thinking to was too plain and had to add more elements. What can I say I'm a masochist for art. Also, Vikings were a decadent bunch when it came to personal decoration. The small hammer pendant on Hiccup's jewelry is based on an actual artifact of viking culture. The two surrounding charms on her beads are associated with may things one of which was fertility.

So fun fact, wearing white to weddings is fairly recent custom, started by Queen Victoria. It does not mean virginity, that was decided by evangelical groups around the 50's. White was chosen by Queen Victoria go better display the lace of the gown made in England and by doing so, encourage domestic textile trade. So yeah, I get annoyed whenever women dress in all white for weddings prior to that time. Still I made Hiccup's wedding furs white, why not.

To get to the image itself, both parties were more than a little skeptical about the match. Dagur's not sure what to make of Hiccup as a wife, he'd tried for years to encourage Hiccup to grow and be strong as his father asked for the sake of alliance, mixed results. Hiccup is like 85% sure that Dagur will kill her in her sleep.

Oswald is thrilled about the match, Stoick is dubious, but is content that Oswald wanted Hiccup to join his family so badly. It bodes well for her future life. As Dagur is the heir to Chief's seat and Hiccup is Stoick's only daughter and child; both were dressed to the nines.

Things do work out for the pair within the year, but it wasn't easy going.

Hi everyone, thanks so much for your support on my dcmk art I posted a while back (barbie meme with Kid and Conan)!!

I've reblogged a lot of stuff from the community but I very rarely make original content, so it made me super happy to be able to contribute and that people liked it ^v^

Here is a doodle dump + some wips of dcmk art. I've been busy bc of uni and have hit a lil art block so I'm hoping posting this will inspire me/hold me accountable haha

(shh ignore Conan's hair in the sunflower one, I haven't fixed it yet XDD)

Some extra info:

The redraw of Lost Ship in the Sky (Conan convincing Kaito to disguise) and the dramatic Kid sketch is a very self indulgent au where I give Kaito Hips (please #GiveKaitoHips2023) and a mask to disguise himself. It's inspired by the mask Jii was wearing in the very first episode/chapter mixed with the Kid doodle. Also, I headcanon Kaito as genderfluid (in general).

The sunflower Kaishin one is inspired by Sunflowers of Inferno. I rewatched it then and immediately pumped out the wip haha. Sunflowers = Kaishin flower supremacy please. I love seeing content of it! Here, Kaito's trying to find the biggest sunflower for Conan, so Conan has like a Huge bundle of sunflowers already, and Kaito keeps pulling them out like his roses, nevermind the fact they dont even fit into his sleeves. He's just too good. Conan's going "Another one?" *sweatdrops*

The last one with Shinichi and Conan is inspired by Shinichi's birthday... um I started it on his birthday in fact LOL. And also the adorable chapter covers with Shinichi and Conan. They're soooo cute!! You can also take this as a sibling au too if you wish, or see it as Kaito pranking Conan. And shoutout to the sibling au fic writers!

As you can see from my bias, Kaito and Shinichi/Conan are my fav blorbos. On the other hand I should go draw some other characters for Variety, it'll be good for me haha.

fun fact this is the first time i got 100% achievements on a game please ignore the Visual Novel tag I am a very pro gamer I swear

anyway some quick rambles:

I've been slowly making my way through this game rather than rushing through so some of my thoughts on the early sections are lost to time,

the main thing about this is that it takes a while to get to the good part but also without the slice of life elements i think it would be a significantly worse game so probably slowly going through rather than binging all at once is the right call

also the steam release has "updated" sprites (you can turn off) and i have a rant on why those sprites are actually worse in my opinion even tho they are technically drawn better but that could be its own post

(would you believe me if i told you these two sprites are supposed to be conveying the exact same emotion, according to the game these are the same sprite)

(or what about mion being banned from showing emotion beyond default anime expressions, not like she's a super playful energetic character or anything)

you can turn these out so it's not an issue but if we have to have redraws for rereleases can they be like.... good, when all a visual novel has is a couple dozen sprites per character they need to be good at showing emotion

oh yeah also its very obvious they only have like 7 songs total for this game ost lol there is only one good song in the ost btw, from a quick google serch looks like every version of the vn has a different ost lol

what else was i gunna sayy uhhhhhh

oh right yeah one thing is that going into the VN knowing the twist from the anime i think did make the experience slightly less good in some places i kinda do wish i could go in 100% blind but i know it would not hold my attention otherwise

(spoiler talk) knowing about the Hinamizawa Syndrome ahead of time def made it some some suspenseful scenes had me going "Keichi you ass your literally just tripping balls" like on one hand scenes where i notice a logical explanation with the context of knowing the twist is a sign of good writing but because i did not get my first experience with the VN idk i feel like i was missing out

regardless ill probs slowly go through the rest of the VN cuz i liked it overall, i already bought the next 3 games (first was free) so i guess i have to cuz i hate having a backlog

oh yeah the first chapter of the VN is free and its 10+ hours so if you like sorta kinda are intrested cuz of the anime you dont have anything to loose i wouldnt say its a strong reccomened yet but its more a "i enjoyed it and didnt feel like my time was waisted"

It’s summertime so obviously I had to draw one of my hot girls in a swimsuit!! This is a redraw of a thing I did back in early 2021 when I was still working at Hooters. We had tons of pictures of Hooters calendar girls up on the walls back then, so a photo of one of my coworkers was used as a reference for this drawing :)

Trying to work more on backgrounds cuz they’re my biggest weak point as an artist ;_; I’m pretty proud of this one tho

Winter Outfits - Vailei

Outfit design is my passion 💅

Redrawing some winter outfits for Lei and Vail :3 You might recognize that I've drawn them in these outfits before as I've posted them on tumblr! I want to use this as a reference to like get comms or drawing illustrations based on them! I also have already drawn some illustrations based on these outfits~

Their heights are not to scale LOL. Vail is a certified short king 💅 Lei is a short queen but she's wearing heeled boots in winter for some reason 😂 (the reason is to slay 💅)

I'm hoping to redraw/ remake the Ceres + Elise winter outfits too but we'll see. I was actually going to use these outfits for another series of illustrations that I even sketched up but not sure if I'll go back to 🤔 I'm thinking about it though 🤔🤔🤔

I really like dressing up my OCs and making them outfits 🥺🥺🥺 I also really like the plaid for their winter outfits I gave Ceres yellow plaid and Elise red plaid as well for their winter outfits 🥺🥺🥺 It's Lei and her most beloved people 🥺🥺🥺 They're matching 🥺🥺🥺 I also think their outfits are super super cute 🥺

If you zoom in there's a bunch of little notes hehehe about the material or design :D Or which things Lei gave Vail 😂 (Like the thigh belt 😳👀😳) Since she's into fashion I imagine she likes to dress him up. And he's willing to oblige because it's her :3 Also I imagine he doesn't mind looking good for her 👀

Lei's necklace in the canon universe was a gift from Ceres :3 I'm keeping that in the modern AU too. Since Vail has silver earrings I imagine he also likes to accessorize a bit and his silver dog tags are ones he bought himself! :D I imagine if he were less active he'd wear rings too but he uses his hands a lot so 😅 Prob not the best idea

Another random detail I want to point is Vail's fingerless gloves! Cuz I actually tried drawing hands for once. It's the runner look y'know. Lei's hands are covered by her fluffy jacket but she is not wearing gloves 😳 So they hold hands like that, y'know, to keep warm 😳

One more detail is Vail's jacket is designed by someone named Nekoya 👀 (You can see the little cat logo!) You'll see her soon but she's a seamstress in the cyberpunk world :3
