OKAY SO the concept behind this was originally specific fashion subcultures for everyone!l ike noct emo ignis dark academia etc. but then decided i didnt want to pigeonhole it all and just freestyled outfits i thought would look nice on everyone

noct - i do think noct would still be emo-ish but also opt for comfy baggy stuff a lot. something you could just fall asleep in on the spot. note the details of bass pro shop shirt (of course) XV necklace, little moon + stars accents, carbuncle + fish keychains. i also wanted his metal band logo shirt to spell LUCIS but i forgor some letters but its not very readable anyways

ignis - ignit ooohghh ignos ignaurs. sorry i made him serve so much cunt it will happen again. i drew him first cause that kind of inspired this whole thing i love him so bad if i didnt draw it id explode. not much detail to note except his collar pins are like his double blade thingies

luna - lunaaa the concept was “clean girl aesthetic” idk if that happened but im actually really happy with how it came out! might be my favorite of the bunch just because she looks so pretty and happy. your honor she should have been able to just be a normal girl and just. chill

prompto - prompotoooo i had trouble picking his vibe!!! my first thought was techwear?? because weeheeeehee he loves tech and well... you know... but then i realized i didnt really like the look of anything i saw + it was so bulky and dark and serious for him! ending up going with some more youthful and baggy. i was considering something more loud and colorful but ended up not going with it. i feel like in canon he'd be too nervous to have such a flashy fit and would want to just look "cool" to fit in with the boys lol. itty bitty details here - chocobo keychain, pompompurin and bi miku buttons, and his lanyard is kings knight themed! i also thought it was funny to write LUCIS on his shirt like you know those shirts that just say BROOKLYN or TOKYO or SAN FRANCISCO and thats it. thats what its like

gladio - okay i know this is going to sound like a lie but im not horny for gladio like at all, hes my least favorite, i think he's just alright. but also i KNOW in my heart of hearts that he would LOVE being a leather daddy and so i had to make it happen. main detail to note here is that his tank top has the motifs of a cup noodle! i didnt know what else to add cause you know.. hes the cup noodle guy.. but also i didnt want it to be so in your face about it with a big as logo so kept it subtle!

(side note the leather daddy gave me an idea for a post where its like noct and prom go to a gay bar all nervous but then they run into gladio and its like "p: GLADIO YOURE GAY?" "n: nevermind that PLEASE dont tell ignis we snuck out" and then ignis walks up and theyre all like WHAT THE FUCK!!!! caption would be "the gang finds out theyre all bisexual." probably wont draw it but i think its very funny lol)

iris - iris my sweetheart.... definitely leaned into the scene vibes here and also that one image of the blonde emo anime girl. details here - of course the moogle big ass backpack and keychain (can you tell i love keychains), but also her buttons are an iris (the flower) and also a crown with hearts (haha symbolism)

anyways oh god i didnt mean to write an essay down here. usually i keep this in the tags but this time i just had Too Much To Say. can you tell i put a lot of thought and love into this . anwyays. *walks off into the sunset and fuckig dies*

i wasn’t happy with the ones i did originally & i wanted to change some details, so here’s a newer version that i am much happier with. :3

- leshy: not much changed with his design, just changed some colours. of all the previous refs i did, his was the one i was the least happy with; much happier with this version though. :3👍

- heket: again, not much changed for her design, just changed the colours since the ones before were BLEH (i learned it was something to do with my program settings so i fixed that.!!) with her old ref, she was meant to have a little more chub on her tummy & muscle on her arms, but she had neither of those things so it looked wonky. this version is much more accurate to my original vision for her. :0

- narinder: basically nothing changed cuz he’s perfect already, but i finally figured out how to draw anthro kitties ((sorta)). i also made sure he looked extra fluffy & more like a maine coon, which is the breed of cat i based him on.

- kallamar: i figured out how to draw tentacles & i remembered to add his freckles this time. :D also there is no squidussy. let a man free his tentacles without judgement smh.

- shamura: so their design changed the most; colours changed, their eye colour changed, i added extra bug leggies (like leshy’s lil leg thingies), their head scar is actually visible (still kinda figuring out how their head injury would look after it’s mostly healed, so the scarring might change as i draw them more), & finally!! spider paws. :3 spiders & tarantulas are so freaky looking but they have such adorable lil paws, it confuses me as someone with slight arachnophobia. >.> also, they do have a little spider butt, i just didn’t draw it cuz it wouldn’t have been visible anyway with their clothes & arms in the way. same thing with the lamb & the goat, i didn’t draw their tails cuz it would have barely been visible anyway so. meh.

eventually i plan to draw their other forms & what they looked like when they were itty bitty, same with lamb/goat & the cat boys. but my wrist is killing me & i have other ideas i wanna draw so. it’ll have to wait. >_>

I apologise. This is not so much a question as just a simple comment - please ignore it if it is exhaustive/impudent of me! After viewing your work and awaiting new pieces with bated breath for a while now, I just wanted to express my enjoyment of your works (regardless of the fandom, it seems), and as I write too much to comment on a single one of your posts in the scope that they deserve, I have had to resort to pestering you directly. The attention to detail that you apply to each and every one of your sketches, no matter how simple, always has a hidden depth of intricacy that is astounding and such a pleasure to see. Little things like how your artworks are always so personal and mindful of each character's individuality. For your Trolls Band Together pictures, the detailing in Spruce's hair, for instance, when released from the towel when cleaning his facial products off baby Branch's face. How it flares and juts out in different directions as natural hair should. How you maintain his 'heartthrob/half lidded eyes'. It is not only the maintaining of character features, but also your clever and lovely adaptations. Your Bitty B, as an example, so so much more compact (specifically in the noggin department!) which just underpins the cuteness of scenes with him, and I feel it also expands the amount of activities that you are able to draw baby Branch engaging in and not have half your sketch hidden by his canonically large/trollish head.

I have always loved Mario and Luigi's designs, despite only playing ONE GAME with them (shameshame) but as I enjoyed your artwork so much, I have taken to asking my better half more about the characters and games and fanart that you have created for them so that I can understand their origins more, but also share your excellent pieces with said half as they are VERY artistically picky indeed and I was so confident in your style and ideas that I just knew they would love your work, too. I was correct. The scenes that you have made with the characters thus far are absolutely gorgeous and a real pleasure to see. Your recent roller skating coloured art, AND the subsequent 'younger Brozone sleepover' artwork was a real treat, thank you. I wonder what their bedtime situation would be when Floyd and Branch's go-to method of bathing seems to be a 10 storey waterslide? Not really something that is going to wind you down into a mood for sleep. Maybe it's a Troll thing. Thank you so much, and please continue to post your inspiring and wholesome and stellar artwork forever and ever~!

Who’s that Pokemon? It’s THE GREAT PAPYRUS!

I have quite a few drawings of Sans and Papyrus interacting as well, but I’ll upload them in a different post. For now all our focus is on the GREATEST skelebro!

Design Notes

- This design has definitely been the hardest to do, seeing as Papyrus is the most humanoid of all the characters. It was hard to find a balance between keeping Papyrus himself but also making him more creature.

- Like Sans, he’s a ghost type! Besides that, I figured normal type has always represented potential in a lot of ways, so Papbitty is normal :) Fighting also just feels right, as I wanted him to share a typing with Undyne.

- Name origins! Papbitty is just Papyrus + bitty, which I kinda love. Pightrus on the other hand is a combo of Papyrus and Knight, cus I feel like that fits him.

- Part of me is still debating giving him a middle evolution… I have a bunch of ideas for a middle but part of me also feels like he fits better as a 2 stage evo Pokémon. Let’s see.

More children! Sakura: She was definitely the hardest design for me to do but my gosh was it rewarding as hell. I wanted to ensure she looked strong but also cute and all. Thus, I gave her a little flower broach/pin of some sorts on her chest and a little red butterfly clip. Who knows. Maybe it's a gift that she got. Also, I did try with the muscles. I am not the best at those but I tried! Also contemplated giving her pants so she could fight better but opted for the skirt so she still has some ties to her original design. Will def draw her in a full gi sometime though. Might also give her a design with bandages on her arms too. Chihiro: I used a bit of one of Chihiro's beta designs as a base since it was giving some cute energy. Gave Chihiro some headphones too since the outfit wasn't giving the programmer energy. Not that Chihiro's base outfit gives programmer. Still though, wanted to get some of that in there. Also, I have no idea why but I'm looking at little Chihiro now and imagining them making a ton of cool as hell games on Scratch. Not cus they can't use other programs but that they're just that good. Aoi: Was both easy and hard to do for her. Her base outfit already works well for an itty bitty version and I wanted to ensure that I wasn't just drawing the characters but shrunk down. Thus, I gave Aoi longer hair. The hair at the top didn't change though since it's iconic and adds to her silhouette more. No clue how I'd reinvent that. For the colors, I will be real. I kinda just picked whatever to make it look similar but not the same as her original counter part. Thus, hoodie on the waist! Made her shoes similar though cus I felt they fit with that sorta energy of a little girl who's just throwing on some clothes before running off to do some stuff and practice her swimming. Added the acne too cus preteen. Mondo: This little biker boy. Yeah. I had the same issues I had with Aoi which was that his base design was already pretty good material for a younger revamp. However, I needed to give him more stuff to work with. Thus, purple leather coat with the sleaves ripped off! He did not do it for fashion. He probably says that he got into a really gnarly fight when he just got a bit too rowdy with a giant ass dog or something. I also gave him like, one of those twigs or like, a toothpick in his mouth. Cus why not. It looked cool and gave him more. His hair stayed the same too cus he could have gotten tips and tricks how to style it from his older brother, Daiya. Like, Mondo is kinda mirroring him in a sense cus of how much he admires him. Finally, once again with the middle schooler acne. Kiyotaka: I feel Taka has that energy of his younger selves looking like shrunk down versions of his older self. He just has that vibe to him. Thus, I just did some small adjustments for him. Have him a little star on him cus he just gives MAJOR energy of that one kid who excelled and always got like "the star of the day" or something like that. Gave him little boy shorts too cus why not! They look cute! And yes. I gave Taka the Spongebob socks. He does not know that they are the socks of the Sponge. Also, the boots stayed cus why not! Maybe he also wants to look taller cus maybe's a bit on he shorter size. Who knows! I don't! One last thing is that I gave Taka like a missing tooth/tooth gap in his bottom row. I just felt it really added to the whole design. Hope the designs are good here too! As I mentioned on Aoi's section, wanted to ensure that they weren't just a carbon copy of themselves since no one is once they get older. So, yeah. This means I will give them all some horrible fashion choses too or just stuff they could look back on and be like "ew! so tacky". Think that'd be pretty fun!

Y'all bear with me on my bad phone pictures and excessive notes lmao, but, uh, ask and you shall receive.

Here's my concept art for Jason in my fic Imprint, where he's a halfa and Danny's biological dad and the king father/king regent? of the infinite realms.

Here's the first ever sketch I did somewhere around chapter 2 or 3:

Featuring larval Ghost!Jason, Pit madness/Lazarus Water and little bitty Ghost!Danny.

I was already thinking about the possibility of a crown but didn't know what to do with it yet so I just left a halo as a placeholder DBZ-style, which you'll see in the next few concept stages until I finish the latest one.

Ah, the oldest concept I had for the Pit is that it laid dormant in Jason's mind and would physically pull itself out of his head, which is why it's kind of half melded with Jason's helmet in this one. And I'm still kind of considering that idea, but I'm leaning more towards it coming from the bulk of Jason's body instead, as we see it in chapter 8 of Imprint when readers get to see Jason's ghost nonsense from an outside perspective. They (the Pit) is definitely more tiger-like now, and you'll catch a glimpse of a sketch dump where I'm trying to get a handle on tiger shape language (?). They'll still be water based and colored like the pits/a lagoon. It may be hard to picture- just trust me.

Uhhh let's see....the "lantern ribcage" is a part of the design that's really important to me so you'll see me consistently playing with it as I go through these early concepts. That's his core nestled in the lower part of his ribs, visible but protected behind the iron cage of his bones.

I wanted to incorporate Jason's helmet and other parts of his vigilante/hero uniforms in his ghost form since that part of his life is deeply personal to him.

I also knew that I wanted him to have a very monstrous aspect to his design- and I can't resist slapping pointy teeth on any of my concepts that deviate from being strictly human. So those aren't going away. Nostrils to breathe smoke and fire so Jason can better emote with most of his face being metal.

Danny's default ghost form, opposed to Jason's will still kinda be the one he has in his original dimension- black and white suit and the classic DP symbol on the chest, but probably better armored and with a bat emblem thrown in somewhere. So thats what I drew him with here- though little kid sized, with an added black streak in his hair to complete the inverse of the Lazarus Pit streak he has in human form.

In ghost form, when Jason needs precision, his go-to weapon will be the All Blades, which I have kinda illustrated here.

I may kinda set the bones of this design aside to use as a more humanoid ghost form that's closer to his living form, but that's still up in the air.

Here's concept 2, which I did on chapter...5? I think? Which is when I decided I wanted to make Jason's most comfortable ghost form to be kinda big and outrageous:

This one's got some notes doodled around it- but I'll type them out in case you can't read my handwriting.

Jason was definitely leaning more toward dragon (and I'm still trying to find the balance between dragon and phoenix that works nicely for him, but we're getting there.)

I decided not to put heat pits on his face recently so that the parts of his head modeled after the helmet are smooth metal armor. I tried to elongate the head but still keep the lines of his helmet in the design.

This is also the first time I started messing with horns- which have been bent in just about every direction at this point trying to make them mesh well with the rest of his design. The uppermost notes in the image mention basing the shape of his horns off of one of his weapons. I thought that the flaming all blades would just be overkill at that point and decided to play with using the Kris knife he gets from the League. Which is....still overkill but it's less fire to draw, so we'll call it a even. There is also a note on my decision to make his horns into a pair only because of being Bruce's second son and the second Robin. (I have put way too much fucking thought into this if you haven't figured that out already).

Tried a different look for the teeth and ended up scrapping it.

I also started leaning more into making his back look as messed up as possible at this point and started thinking of the....mountain range in plated rows like a croc's back.

And here's concept 3, which also starts playing with colors and the all-tail, no-legs look that I decided to stick with:

This is definitely the biggest jump between concepts so far and was sketched up while writing chapter 7, which I think is the first time we get to experience his ghost forms (there's 2 that we saw in that chapter).

So I continued to smooth and lengthen the head and tried a different thing with the teeth- which I kept. I also felt a lot better about the lines from the helmet with this concept. I tried curling his kris knife horns forward, trying to play with their form. Those have changed since.

This is the first time I added hair, but it's hard to see. He, like Danny, has an inversed streak of black at the front of his 'do to reflect the Lazarus stripe.

Again with the halo placeholder because I was still on the fence about the crown. Started trying to make the mountains of his spine more volcanic looking. Don't know if I'm keeping that or not yet.

So the three major differences between this and it's predecessors is the 1) mantle of smoke that is constantly being expelled from his body that is supposed to imitate a kinds cloak/mantle; 2) the tail, which has since been changed into a fiery tail instead of a ghostly one; and 3) I slapped his Robin 'R' from the movie UTRH on him to make this form more...him, I guess, and also to make Bruce cry like a baby.

So the things that I have changed is the ribcage, the shape of the horns, the crown (which finally has a rough design and a name based on the fight he has to win to earn it- yes, I already have that arc scribbled out and will most likely be adding it into the story) and I added some extra stuff to the face to match the written descriptions in Imprint.

SO. -Claps hands together- I'd love to hear your thoughts on everything, and I am always interested in hearing how y'all have interpreted these characters for yourselves.

If this is something you want me to do again with other character designs, let me know and I will. I am working on Jason, of course, and the Pit, Frankie boy, Danny's big long boi form, Gotham and some other odds and ends.

Broken Little Birds

“Daddy didn’t come for your big brother. He’s not gonna come for you, little nestling.” 

Tim shifted in place, drawing his legs in closer to his torso, making himself smaller. His arms were bound behind his back at an extreme angle that was pulling at his shoulders. Another inch and they might dislocate. One of his ribs was broken, probably two. His vision was swimming and blood was matting his hair into clumps. 

But in his position on the warehouse floor, huddled up and looking pitiful, he was protecting his belly and throat. The swings of the baseball bat landed harsh blows on his already injured body, but mostly to the padding in his uniform that gave him the illusion of muscle, or to his neck where they glanced off the metal ring he wore in his gorget. His cape couldn’t prevent the impacts but it could spread them out. 

He could withstand this until Batman arrived. 

Because he would. 

Tim told himself that. Had been telling himself that for the last hour since he hit his emergency beacon. 

Batman would make it in time. Tim wouldn’t allow himself to be the reason Bruce had to bury another Robin. He knew his mentor wouldn’t be able to cope a second time and he would snap entirely. If he wanted to keep Batman back from the edge of the darkness, he had to survive the night. It was the only reason he was in this uniform. He was Batman’s light. His guiding star. 

He’ll come for you, little brother. He tried to be there for me. He’ll be here for you. 

Wiping blood from his mouth on his knee, Tim nodded. “I know,” 

Joker cackled and twirled the bat over his head then brought it down onto the concrete floor next to Tim’s head. The laughter grew shrill and rasping when the boy flinched away from it. “Ohh, it’s so good you agree with me. It took the itty bitty black and blue Jay a lot longer. You’re much smarter than him, aren’t you?” He pushed the end of the bat under Tim’s chin, forcing him to raise his head to look up at him. “I like brains! They look so pretty splattered on a wall!” 

He’s got like. Three jokes. Oooooh, I’m gonna say a thing, then make it creepy. So original.

Jason sneered at Joker as he drifted from one side of him to the other. 

Tim had been seeing him more and more lately. The visits had terrified him at first, making him think he was cracking under the pressure. But in the time since donning the cape, they had become a comfort. Jason assured him that he was proud to have him take on the mantle, and stood beside him when he was alone. 

With one bare foot, his cape in tatters, and blood on his face, Jason didn’t leave Tim’s side as Joker swung the bat again. He whispered against his ear that Batman would be there for him. That he was strong enough to get through this. 

That they wouldn’t be meeting for real for a long time yet. 

A crash of broken glass. A flash of light and a bang, followed by the burnt sugar scent of one of the smoke bombs. Fists on flesh and broken bones as Batman roared wordlessly and beat Joker until he was squalling for mercy. 

Through the smoke, Jason approached and knelt in front of Tim. He touched his head, and the pain crept back sullenly. We’re not gonna see each other for a while, little brother. Something’s about to happen. But you’ll be okay without me. You’re gonna do great, I know it. 

He faded back as Batman dropped Joker’s shackled body and sprinted to Tim’s side. His hands were shaking as he checked him for spinal injuries before yanking free the bindings around his arms. 

“I’m here,” he whispered, stroking Tim’s hair with deceptively gentle fingers. “I made it. I’m here, Robin. You’re safe, son.” 

Tim could never be entirely sure that he was the one Batman was seeing as he made those soft promises, but it didn’t matter. He was alive. 

Bruce wouldn’t have to bury another broken little bird.

i'm sorry that i couldn't always be your teenage dream

July 11th - Dream/Nightmare

Callum was dreaming again, and it wasn’t even a good one. It wasn’t even original. It was the same old shit he thought he’d worked through, but apparently “shoving into an itty-bitty box in the corner of his mind” didn’t count as “working through.”

Not being fast enough to catch Rayla as she fell, mangled body caught in a thorny bramble or never to surface again from the watery depths. Holding her as the life left her body because of something Aaravos had used him to do. Ezran’s blood blending into his shirt and Callum not having a clue he was dead until he found what should have been his pulse point and smelled the metallic scent of blood, Soren and Corvus’s necks slit as they died defending him. All because of him, because of the things he’d done for Rayla, because he just couldn’t live without her, that had led to a continent-wide bloodbath.

At least he’d finally stopped dreaming about what had happened back on the Sea Legs. But emotional pain was arguably a million times worse than physical. But, hey; options to pick from, Soren would’ve said in an attempt to cheer him up but ending up doing nothing of the sort. How had his life come to this, pain in every aspect of the word?

Callum wasn’t sure at what point he woke up, when the horrors his brain so loved to produce stopped being from his subconscious and started to come from how he tortured himself. 

Gradually, the world fading into focus but doing nothing to calm his racing heart, things became visible: His very first drawing of Rayla pinned up on his bulletin board across the room, a maroon tapestry patterned with swirling gold, teal covers over his too-hot body. Feeling and hearing came back next, and he dimly registered a hand stroking his hair, another loosely settled on his middle. Familiar callouses, familiar temperature, familiar body shape– Rayla without a doubt.

Callum clung onto that, onto that certainty that she was here, holding him and murmuring things into his hair that he couldn’t make out but at least sounded vaguely soothing.

“Ray-” His tongue felt heavy, like he didn’t deserve to say her name. Callum didn’t let himself finish her name or even start to say it again, simply desperately grasped the hand around his waist.

“I’m here. You’re okay,” the elf soothed, squeezing his hand tight. “Everything’s okay. You’re safe, I’m safe, Ez is safe. You have nothing to immediately worry about, I promise.”

Callum nodded, trying to let– make himself believe it with those two blasted Dark Mages out there, that damn elf in the mirror. The prison so close it would be nothing for Aaravos to just- take hold of him again and set himself free. Gods, he might be sick.

He gripped her tightly, trying to calm his racing heart by focusing on the feeling of Rayla’s hands on him, her sweet voice humming some old calming tune.

“Not that I’m complaining,” he said eventually, mouth dry, “but why are you in my bed?”

He could hear the almost unnoticeable catch in her voice, loud as thunder to his trained ears, practically see her eyes drop down as she replied so softly, “I heard you crying out and stuff. I didn’t want to wake you up, just… thought you could maybe use a hug.”

He pulled her hand around his waist, nestling further back into her, and felt her smile into his hair. "You thought right."

Sam Wilson is my absolute favorite Marvel character. I’ve loved him since Captain America: Winter Soldier when he just immediately treats Steve like a person and a soldier in need of help and is immediately like “I do what he does, just slower.” What a guy. I remember when they announced the Avengers Campus they had Anthony Mackey introduce it and showed off Sam as Captain America. I was so excited to see him and we almost didn’t get to, but when we did - pure autistic joy. But first we met Steve. I drew the original 6 Avengers as itti bitties a few years ago when I was gonna try to sell stickers, so I just included those drawings in my book. But I thought I’d left Steve out because I didn’t think he would be there. Fun fact, there are more characters than what it shows on the app. So we met Steve first and I thought I didn’t have his drawing so I had him sign Sam’s. He was like “I don’t want to take Sam’s” and then I was like “you can share” and he was like “okay, we can share.” Then he and my sister had an entertaining conversation about Camp Half-Blood.

Immediately after this I realized that I had thrown Steve’s drawing in the book for the heck of it and literally facepalmed. So when we met Sam, I first told him he was my favorite, then I showed him the drawing of him, then I explained how I’d had Steve sign his drawing and thought it’d be funny if he signed Steve’s. He said he thought Steve would think the switch was funny. He said he liked the drawing and that I included his wings.

After Steve but well before Sam, when we were still trying to find Sam, we also saw Natasha and had her sign our books. She didn’t have much of a reaction to the drawing but offered to help us find other Avengers.

So the Disneyland app lets you look at characters but it doesn’t actually like. Track them or anything. It just shows the rough time and place characters might be somewhere. Other characters walk around completely unrelated to that. Sam’s window was something like 10:30-3:30. He’s not actually out for the entire window. He just might show up somewhere in that span. So we spent like the whole day circling back to Avenger’s Campus to find him and he came out at like 3

Now before you continue I warn you the following is basically me rambling about how much I fucking love undertale yellow heheheh (Also a lot of spoilers ahead).

I have spent the whole day playing this stupid (fantastic, amazing, marvelous) game, I kid you not that I went from the end of the ruins to the fucking steamworks, which said out loud doesn't sound like a lot of time but uhhh for me it was if you consider that I've investigated EVERY FUCKING INCH OF THE MAP.

I'm not complaining, oh ho ho (merry Xmas) I'm not complaining because its been the most fun I've had playing a game in a WHILE, its made my life better and now im gonna spend the rest of the year (and probably more) obsessed over all the characters and their stories (mostly Clover and Martlet ngl).

But I gotta admit that even if I find the Ut yellow's characters a lot different than the ones from the original game, I can't help but love them the same. Look, I'm no expert on character design but I smile every time I see Martlet comment something or simply being on screen, I start laughing whenever I see a hint of Mo on any frame, heck you mention any of the characters and I immediately start smiling like an idiot, and the whole scene with North Star? The Feisty Five?? CEROBA?? I died, the moment I stepped on the town I fucking died.

I remember being really, REALLY into undertale when I was like 10-11 years old, and suddenly opening yt one day and watching my favourite YouTuber play the demo of this fan game, and i remember thinking "oh wow that game looks really cool!" Simply because of the concept of watching how it was like for any of the other souls to go through the underground, instead of Frisk. AND NOW, YEARS LATER I GET TO PLAY IT BY MYSELF, you don't know how special this game is for me.

For me it isn't only a fan game, or the story of another fallen human, for me it's getting an opportunity to enjoy the main thing that inspired me back the from zero, getting to learn about new characters, about new stories, and new perspectives. For me it's also getting an opportunity to meet them all, to be their "friend" and to live an adventure all by myself because back then i could only sit and watch everyone else do all the things i wanted to do, because back then i could only look at them all having fun, laughing with the good things and crying with the bad memories while separated through a screen.

Today I got to meet them all and to laugh with the unexpected dialogue, while learning that even in a fictional story not everything is painted in bright pink, I saw them get into trouble and also helped them overcome it, and it was amazing.

I also got to die and die and die again and again because I realised at the beginning of the game that I'm really bad at it (i cant blame the controller, I know it :( ), but it also made me promise myself that i would keep going no matter what, because i really wanted to see what's next. Heck you could say I kept going because of my determination ;).

I haven't finished the game yet, but I already know I'm gonna replay it over and over, I wanna catch every detail, investigate and discover every mystery, and i wanna make so many theories already, I CAN'T WAIT TO LOVE THIS GAME.

So for now have a not-so-quick sketch of Clover, the bearer of the yellow soul, the one who has quickly made way into my heart, and it seems the little shit is now living there rent free.

If you've read all the way to the end wth is wrong with you, and also thanks a lot for the attention, I was really excited to talk about this game to someone but didn't know how to do it, so I figured tumblr was the place pla to write for an hour, so the short-drawing post is now my review of the game hehehehe.

I got this ask in January and actually did most of these drawings then. I was a little worried to post bc of all the discourse happening around this show and the fact no one seems to have a neutral opinion on it.

I am not a Hazbin Hotel fan, I also don't hate it. I don't really care about it tbh. I used to be a fan but kinda fell off in the time between the pilot and the show.

These designs are the Hazbin characters but in a hell universe that I created with a friend of mine, these are not critiques of the canon designs and they are not connected to the actual Hazbin lore.

Charlie

I'm not too happy with how this one looks tbh and I may redo it at some point. Charlie, like her father Lucifer is a Pride demon, which have a birdlike appearance in this hell universe. They also appear the most angelic, which is why she has the face wings.

Again, I'm not fond of this one.

Vaggie

Vaggie is a wrath demon. She is tough and quick to get into conflict with others, often fights she may not be able to win (she is itty bitty). When she gets angry her "hair" gets brighter and more wild, it is fire after all. She puts up an emotional shield, one she only lets down around Charlie. She's not a fallen angel here, at least not a first generation one.

I like the colors on this one, I think they look nice :3

Angel Dust

He's supposed to have horns but ummmmmm shhhh.

Angel is an incubus. Like a lot of incubi he is a performer. I wanted his clothes to look a bit more like he was from the 1930s even though "sinners" aren't really a thing in this universe it would be a nod to the original character. I think a lot of his story would be similar from what I know, I didn't come up with much for him.

I didn't think about him much either, he's just a devious goat man who is a lot more powerful than he seems. I think he probably has some sort of connection to the angels in this universe or smth idk.

Angel as a drag queen bc she came to me in a dream. That's her performance btw she does drag. I forgot that the original Angel is supposed to be a drag queen like??? She has her horns as I originally intended too. I love her actually

LAILAH: Angel. You know how Crowley says he didn’t make the original concepts for the universe, he just put it all up together? Yeah, Lailah did the sketches. He designed a good portion of the universe. The “Real” mythological Lailah is thought of as angel of the Night and sometimes of Conception and Fertility. I like to think that while it wasn’t his domain, he passed a suggestion to the angel working on humans to make conception fun so that people would want to do it, just as a little silly nod to my Lailah falling and becoming Asmodeus.

Lailah fell in the war when the lot of them did. While he can’t exist in order for Asmo to exist, I like to think the modern version of him would have become the angel equivalent of a customer service drone and is Definitely Not Upset About That In Any Way, hence the Smugness With Nothing Really Behind It demeanor. He’s coping with the fact that he fell from artist to desk jockey. I think this change started happening a bit before the rebellion, and he joined Lucifer to fight it.

ASMODEUS: Demon. Lailah fell and became Asmodeus, demon of Lust and King of Demons. I figure the Good Omens version of that is Demon Babysitter Who Deals With HR Shit So Beelzebub Doesn’t Have To Worry About It. I imagine he earned the title from some great battle achievement during the war. Asmo has his silly little chicken leg as… divine punishment? Likely for the same thing that gave him the Demon King title? Who cares.

By the time the Earth came around, Asmo found it a good place to spend time. I imagine he had something to do with the whole Sodom thing. The more time he spent on the planet, the more bored he got with his Hellish duties. Fell from prominence. He negotiated his way to the same Earthly Relations/Tempations job that Crowley and Aziraphale were doing, just on the other side of the planet (America ☹️). He only mostly stayed on the side of the planet he was meant to and fucked around often. King of Demons is pretty good at getting his few bosses off his ass about things.

Asmo has an odd fixation with angels that he isn’t sure if is “nostalgia or some kind of fetish…” because Demons that are Good at Being Demons aren’t really fun to write about, are they? I haven’t made an Angelic inverse to him because that feels a bit like writing myself a partner no matter their relationship or how far removed the character is from me. Maybe someone would like to take that upon themselves…?

Eventually, his apathy for his job and his fraternizing with said Angelic Inverse got him, essentially, grounded for a few years. This was when Armageddon was supposed to happen and he was reasonably pissed that no one had told him when he found out. He returned to Earth—this time, no one cared to stop him or keep track of him because Heaven and Hell had better things to worry about after the failure of Armageddon. This time, he made no attempt to even pretend to do his job and is pretty much just vibing.

I’M SORRY I couldn’t think of any little bitty scenarios to draw him with Aziraphale. Also, I drew angel Crowley without reference, I know his hair is weird.

Little note— I know we all love gender-fucking GOmens angels and demons! I do too! That said, I would prefer He or They pronouns for Asmo. He is relatively removed from me but I have a connection in that way to him, and I like him having that difference from Lailah. Lailah I am okay with any pronouns! Lailah is usually thought of as a female-presenting angel anyways, and Lailah being connected to femininity while Asmo is connected to masculinity is indeed very transgender of them, which I appreciate. I was even thinking about giving Lailah a skirt in the first place. Still I personally use He or They!

I am indeed impassive to all ships as long as it's non-predatory (pedophilia) and is consensual on both ends.

Personally, I see Ahsoka and Rex as siblings mainly because Ahsoka grew up with them in a sense. But I am not oblivious to the relationships that blossom overtime as well as the blurred line of 'grooming' — a perfect example would be (if you watch anime) Sesshoumaru and Rin!

If you haven't, it's about a dog demon who resurrects this child and they were such good companion through the entire original anime series and in the new Yashahime (spin-off of sorts), she gives him twins and just goes through a new story altogether.

I have my thoughts about it RexSoka and my example, but I also have the choice to indulge and not. I have the choice to skip posts that are RexSoka, I have the choice to block that tag, and more as much as I have the choice to politely decline someone who wants to thot-converse with me over it without unfriending them. I'm sure we'll have more ships to go over.

But then again, don't Togrutas age slower than humans since their alien species and Rex, like the clones, have speed aging? Then again, there's the matter of mentality. I guess it depends on the AU and if people want to keep it canon but ship them together, then... Who am I to stop them, yeah?

At the end of the day, it's fiction. If they need a safe space to ramble their ship even though I lean a bit away from it, my inbox is and DM is still available. I just may not be fully engaged but I will listen and converse.

BUT, I do draw the line if there is any indication that this fascination applies to the real world. If they start talking about lusting for a minor, I don't think I have in me to continue.

So yes, keep it fiction and search your company maybe. Those who share the same ship. Mind your limits and level of thirst maybe. Do a itty bitty bit of reflecting on where to draw the line and we're all good.

(You asked this a little bit ago and I put it in my drafts as a “I’ll finish this later” sort of thing then forgot until this morning, sorry)

1. Hyouka. It’s a mystery anime. There’s a manga as well, but I never got very far into it. The animation is really pretty, but the main draw for me was the mc Houtarou Oreki. The way he just doesn’t want to be there and also would like nobody to talk to him. Despite this, he’s friends with the exact opposite? And good friends. What a guy. Also, the mysteries are very fun to piece together.

2. Natsume Yuujinchou. I’ve always really liked this anime, and the manga. I like Natsume Takashi, the main character, and I also really like his grandmother, Natsume Reiko, who kind of acts as a secondary main character? She caused the whole plot to happen. I like how many people and yokai mistake Natsume for his grandmother, and the running theme of Natsume finally finding friends. It was also the first manga that ever made me cry, so it holds a special place in my heart.

3. MXTX’s novels. All three of them. I love the characters and I love the romances and I love the plots. I love the side characters! I can’t think of an author who has ever made me so invested in side characters before! I read them all for different reasons, so I don’t really have a favourite among them, but if I was held at gunpoint, I’d say Scum Villain is my favourite. Because I associate it with the colour green, and I like the colour green.

4. Moomins. I just… everything is so soft. And warm. And kind. Even when the characters are beinng objectively terrible, I just want to pat their heads and sigh wistfully. It’s definitely my comfort show. I occasionally watch clips from the nineties show just to cheer myself up again. I love Snufkin because his lines are amazing and I, too, would like to wander the world as a lone vagabond. (The whole conversation of “I made those footprints.” “What? How?” “With these big ol boots I found.” “Why are you wearing them?” “To see what life is like in someone else’s shoes.” “What’s it like?” “Uncomfortable.” I love every moment, I quote “uncomfortable” all the time)

5. Detective Conan (and Magic Kaitou) I love this series. I love the comedy of the most intelligent teenager alive being shrunk into a miniature. I love the drama. I love the characters, all twelve billion of them. I love that the twists are always so weird. I absolutey, positively adore the Kaitou Kid episodes! Something about little itty bitty Conan facing an international jewel thief… I also love the movies! I haven’t seen all of them (my attention span…) but my favourites are the Lupin III crossovers! And, of course, the best movie is the Lost Ship in the Sky, because it has the funniest scenes of anything ever. When Kaitou Kid (disguised as Shinichi) and Conan just leap out of a helicopter? I love them so much…

6. Encanto. I’ve watched this movie about 3-5 times (an impressive feat for me I promise) and every time the Abuela says “the miracle is not some magic that you’ve got, the miracle is you, not some gift just you” I cry actual tears. And I get major siblings feelings from all of it. It’s so good

7. Star Wars, specifically prequel-era and Original Trilogy-era. I love Anakin Skywalker. The most dramatic man to ever. And I love Luke Skywalker. And I love Leia. And Han, and Chewie, and Lando, and Obi-Wan (Obi-Waaaaannn 🫠) and just the majority of characters. I really enjoyed reading the Thrawn Trilogy because I found Mara Jade to be the funniest comedic foil to Luke. Luke is just vibing. Mara is like “You were stabbed fifteen seconds ago, what-“ Love the chaos duo Luke and Leia, who can’t go anywhere together because they attract misfortune but also can’t go anywhere apart because they attract misfortune. I love longsuffering Han who didn’t really realize that marrying Leia meant marrying Luke too. I have never watched the sequels, and I don’t really want to. I just wanna live in my lil bubble 👍

8. Resident Evil series. I’m counting the games here because I own exavctly zero consoles that run Resident Evil games and so I mostly just watch longplays, but I love the series. (One day I’ll be the Master of Unlocking… one day… when I have… more money…) I really like Ethan Winters because he reminds me of a kicked dog. I like Jill Valentine the mostest because I really like that her responses to all the weird comments Barry makes are just her laughing and agreeing. I like Chris Redfield because Wesker reveals his huge evil plan and Chris immediately starts laughing and Wesker gets actually upset that he isn’t taking him seriously. I like Ada Wong. She rocked in to Raccoon City to “find her boyfriend” (code for: do spy shit) in a dress and, like, tights? They could be leather pants, the graphics aren’t that clear, but I’m not sure? Her whole outfit in RE2 is amazing. Oh, and I like the horror elements too, the monster designs are so gross! 10/10!

9. Various DC comics. Namely, Batman, Robin, Young Justice, Swamp Thing, etc. I talk about Batman and Robin and all them a lot, but I really enjoy Swamp Thing! I never knew that it was a horror comic until I read it (I suppose it would have been logical to assume it was, but still) and I like him! He’s very cute. Squishy. I want to lay on him and tell him he’s doing a great job. I like the little mini Swamp Thing that grew after he was “killed” it’s so little!!!

10. Fire Emblem. I’m including another game series because I love Fire Emblem a lot. I have played so many hours of so many games (Tokyo Mirage Sessions crossover is underrated and everyone should play it and gush about it with me because Mamori runs a cooking show when she has no idea ow to cook!!! I love her!!!) I have wasted so much money on the mobile game (stop looking at me) I absolutely love this series! My favourites are Marth and Henry (FE:A) I love Marth, he is so… himself :) and I love Henry! He was raised by wolves! He converses with crows! He proposes with a cursed ring! He carries around monster parts just for funsies! He is the cutest little murder bean in the world! Fire Emblem Awakening got me into the series as a whole, and I have never been the same (side note: I also love Corrin, because they are a himbo whether male or female. I also love Robin, because they appear very reasonable and are tacticians and are very intelligent and they are also completely feral in weird ways and I like it a lot. I love Byleth, the best teacher who does not have a heartbeat and didn’t cry when they were born and doesn’t know how to emote)
