Disney’s The Black Hole

So, after watching The Black Hole and posting several robot clips from the movie, here are my thoughts on this 1979 space opera.

If it wasn’t for the robots, V.I.N.C.E.N.T. and B.O.B, I would not have made it through the film. I mean, sure, the humans said stuff, there was a lot of drama laden talk, and some elements were creepy, but the ROBOTS... 

So here’s the thing... the main two, were goddamn adorable. The other ones, like STAR from the shoot out battle, and Maximilian the main evil one, were well done but had no actual voice, and just kind of pantomimed a lot.

Mad props to Roddy McDowall and Slim Pickens for their uncredited performances as V.I.N.C.E.N.T. and B.O.B, that robot death scene was heartwrenching, and if I was the kind of person to cry at movies, I probably would of cried. Instead, I’m just going to be a little melancholy for the next few hours.
