OCXCanon - Like everything I do is this. Idk this is what fuels me. Tbh let me gush about 3 of those here.

Wol/Estinien - My Warrior of Light Ahya is a monk first. She learns the healing arts of the stars later. I want to rewrite first steps of faith where she like grabs on one of the dragon killers and launches herself onto the dragon's back. This actually doesn't work and Ahya injures herself p badly. Like NEEDS time to rest and recover before like... doing her monk shit again. Estinien actually finishes the job of killing the dragon here and is like 'ur reckless wtf was that you're not a dragoon' (would make a good dragoon later. yes he will train her in that way later). But during recovery she studies astromancy to help her own healing. Anyway these 2 are like

Remilia(my sorcerer)/Ennui(dnd npc)/Mordecai(dnd npc) - (yes at this point its ocxocxoc but I love them). 3 nerds together. Remilia learned the divination magic she so craved from Mordecai. She learned a lot of basic survival and like magical creatures from Ennui. And like theres a level of vulnerability Remilia feels she can have with them instead of like current party bc of how she was kjinda dragged in. I've (in character) have been writing letters to them for the whole mission (just over a month in game time)(we aren't even done)(have just 'been gathering allies to stop the cult')(still have to like.... actually do that whole siege sequence)(I BELIEVE IT WILL COME BACK I AM MANIFESTING THIS). Even tho this campaign has been on hiatus for like years I do not care I still think about them. I am a fandom of 1 so I'll keep ship sailing myself if I gotta.

Castlevania OT3 (Alucard/Sypha/Trevor) - I REMEMBERED A CANON CHARACTERS ONE HOLY SHIT. Idk their dynamic was real good in the show that i still gotta finish maybe someday.

Yes I bought it because her and the main character have basically the same model (my girl only just doesn't wear a hat at this point in time to which the DM showed me the haberdashery's shop inventory)

Excuse the shitty 3am first draft, but I wrote another fucked-up nightmare for Rook... (continued under the cut. tw for death/drowning/corpses)

The water is rising even faster now, and within seconds the deck is awash with sea water.  It reaches his ankles, then his knees. He clings desperately to the broken wheel, but it will not save him. Nothing will save him. As the water reaches his neck he sucks in a breath. The water closes over his head. As it continues to rise, he begins to swim, searching for whatever is trapping him. A few strong strokes, and his outstretched hand meets something smooth. Glass.  He swims forwards, following the curve of the glass, searching for a way out. It slopes downwards, and he dives, following it into a narrow tunnel. At the end is a cork. There’s an indentation in it, as if something heavy has slammed against it. He pushes against it with all his might. His shoulder fits perfectly into the groove, but it will not budge. Exhausted he pauses, floating in the water. He should have needed to breathe by now. Should have drowned by now. But he hasn’t. The thought gives him hope. There must be a way out. Another thought crosses his mind. The rain alone was not enough to fill the bottle at this speed. There must be another opening. With renewed desperation, he swims back down the neck of the bottle and dives deeper, towards the bottom.  A dark shadow passes through the corner of his vision. He looks and sees the Tide Breaker sinking, having finally succumbed to the waves. As it falls past him, fading from his vision, he swims after it.

After several minutes of swimming, he begins to see shapes below him, coming closer. Dark silhouettes rise out of the murky water. As he grows closer, a sinking feeling sets into his stomach. The shapes are not natural rocks or stony ruins. They are wrecks, so densely packed that he can’t see the sand beneath them. Hundreds upon hundreds of ships lie at the bottom of the bottle, stretching as far as he can see in every direction.   No. Not hundreds of ships. One ship. Piled up on the ocean floor are countless copies of the Tide Breaker, in various states of disrepair. Some remain almost completely intact, while others have been ripped apart by the waves. Some are covered in seaweed, swaying gently in the waves. Others look recent, hulls clean and firm. For the first time since the water closed over his head, Rook’s lungs begin to strain. His heart is pounding in his chest. He kicks harder, swimming not upwards, but downwards, closer to the wrecks. Something white catches his attention, and he swims towards it. At first it looks like some kind of large shell, balanced on the broken wheel of one of the wrecks. But as he gets closer, its grisly shape reveals itself. A skull, bleached white and picked clean of flesh, is perched jauntily on the helm. Its naked grin seems to be taunting him. More white catches his eyes and he sees bones scattered across the deck.  Movement draws his attention from a nearby wreck, and he glances over. His vision is going dark at the edges from lack of air, and it takes him several seconds to process what he’s seeing. Tangled in the rigging of a nearby wreck is a corpse. His corpse. It twists slowly in the current, spinning around to face him. The eyes are gone and the flesh on his face has begun to fall off. Bite marks are visible where some deep-sea creature has been feeding from him. A scream is building in his throat, his lungs are sending shooting warnings through his body. He needs air. Against his will, his mouth opens, and water rushes in, salty and cold. As his vision fades, the last thing he sees is his own rotting corpse, drifting in the water. It seems to be laughing at him.

AAA thanks so much for the question, I love getting to talk about Dande!!

Currently, only one person in the party (Clover) knows about the extent of his scars but not the story behind them, so I can't delve too deep into them yet. But he's been around for a long time (over a century, at the least) in a pretty tough world, so he's accumulated a lot of scars over the years. in short, though, he's had his throat slit, and he's been on fire (his arm). as soon as he talks about them more I assure you I'll be running here to share the stories here too!!

Hey, for the oc ask game, how about #6 (Who will they take advice from, no matter what it is? Who won’t they take advice from, no matter what it is?) for Ruse?

Wow I wasnt expecting to get any asks!! My darling Ruse (theyre actually a huge bastard) is a hard one to answer this one for! They've been through a lot, and- like the edgelord they are- they don't have a whole lot of people they trust to that extent. One of the closest people I could say is Hi (pronounced "he"), their aarakocra party member. The two have some "rogue solidarity" between each other and neither would admit to REALLY caring about the other. As far as they go is saying theyre "friends" lol Hi was immortal and has lived through many things and seen things most people have not, giving him a sort of wisdom that Ruse respects. The two always felt like that since they were such surface level friends and know that life comes at you fast there's no reason to lie to the other as well, making any advice Hi would have to share invaluable. Ruse greatly respects him, even if they're too prideful to show it.

As for who they would never take the advice of? Probably their twin, Torel haha. Something about growing up with him and knowing him better than anyone else? And also sort of to purposefully to be a shit to his brother LOL The two of them have been through so much together, and I think Ruse understands Torel enough to already know what kind of advice they would receive from him and enough to know that they would probably never take it haha.

death and loss. especially if theres nothing to be done. permanent loss just hits, probably because of how many people both died and just disappeared in t589, plus just suddenly losing her family then the c127 guys. and ofc its just sad in general - suffering in general hurts her heart even as a longtime l corp agent

owen probably knows that tbh since they stayed pretty close to eachother throughout t589, but whenever shes emotional she tends to hide it. most people dont know and she wants to keep it that way

tbh bella cries kinda.. easily? subconsciously? she tends to cry but not realize it, like in the laundry room. as a kid she ended up seeing a lot of death and loneliness in t589, and the first instinct of crying kinda just cemented itself there.

as captain though (and as she grew up) she a) started going into like. serious mode to deal with shit (ex. when she used pink the in the shelter) and b) purposefully kept her emotions in check more. but when shes alone they just spring back up (more examples. bc i like to point out things in my writing :3 after The Safety Incident with lunas, laundry room ofc, and after the pink and shelter thing*)

when it comes to stressful situations, especially in combat/trying to protect others, she acts more serious and walled off. but in the aftermath her walls tend to crumble

for sillier situations though. she is not immune to the silly. she can resist it but eventually she will cave. put her with ppodae for long enough and she will exit containment with him /hj

red!!!! warmer colors represent her well, which are also her favorite colors :) i think shed like the primary ones, plus cyan purple and pink. she loves pleasant gradients.

red - passion, excitement, love, but also danger and anger. orange - creativity, warmth, happiness. this one doesnt have any negative meanings lmao. also grabs attention like red! yellow - optimism and cheer, but also intellect and caution. + alarm and sickness (i can totally see this in some art based around the negative meanings where theres just. a blaringly bright yellow background)

shes very passionate and happy, but also impulsive and dangerous, both to herself and others. like super red. on the inside though she is more mellow and intelligent than she acts, yellow and orange.

all the colors grab attention like i said, and yeah she likes to do that. she wants to appeal to everyone and make them all happy :)

she takes on more than she can handle. in her own story she focuses so hard on dealing with the timeloop entirely alone that she goes out of her mind with stress. even in more mundane things shell try and go alone, which ig shows a side of her i havent looked into much.

for all of her friendliness she doesnt really trust people as much as she lets on. she doesnt expect them to come save her. she tries to be their friend and appeal to them but assumes that they only see her friendship as something passing or fickle.

everything i said about her applies to dnd vera as well! she also tries to be everyones friend and like a beacon of warmth, but thinks they dont care as much as they do. she revels in the communities she finds as she travels, cementing the temporariness of it all in her mind. and so, she takes it all on alone, and when she fails she can only fall back on herself.

shes assuming the party is going to abandon her soon since she practically almost killed them (and herself!) - mostly from her past, but also from the views of friendship shes made in her mind. like cutting off a deal because she couldnt uphold it. (also on that note i couldnt see through the fog of angst </3 she wont be mad at them for coming back!!! more just. surprised and happy, but assuming it isnt gonna last.)

Finally a complete set with all my planned Rooks! It's just a first take, depending on the CC and the game and how I will feel in the next months they will change for sure. My little baby, my firstborn, the first Rook I designed. Used to work as a lil kid in Skyhold's kitchen, until he met the demon Enfenim in that abandoned library hidden there, befriending him (it's another OCs of mines, check my pinned!)

Long story short he gets adopted by my Lavellan after his magic manifested, in the kitchens. Near boiling oil. The left side of his face and shoulder is covered in burn scars. Still he grows up to be a great but VERY unlucky mage, to the point he considers himself bad news and slowly starts to embrace this side of him in a selfdeprecating way. After yet another incident, he leaves her mother and their community, deciding he wants to make just one single good thing for her: finding Solas. Hiding his identity he ends up joining the crows, finding out he's quite good as an assassin. Relationship wise I brutally ship him with Elgar'nan, but more specifically he's in a weird... double triangle romboid (?) relationship with also Sulenan and Bellara??? (aka Sulenan also has a relationship with all of them but Bellara and Elgar'nan don't deal with each other.... unless the game will state otherwise >:D) He's hella young, in his early twenties, but usually fakes his age and tries to pass as someone older. He's also the shortest elf you'll ever meet.

Qunari ◆ female ◆ she/her Veil Jumpers ◆ Bow Rogue (Arcane Archer)

She's meant to be the real Rook, you know, the one who Varric recruits. Qunari who was taken in by a (very open minded) Dalish clan. I'm still unsure if she was born in the Qun or not, in any case she embraced the elven culture as her own. She can be considered diplomatic and understanding, a good bean. The idea behind her is linked to the Qunari having metallic like skin... I wanted to make a golden one since they're usually grey in games. I'm not sure about the name Saara just because I remembered now Sera has a very similar sound. We shall see if I'm going to change it.

◆ Sulenan

Elf ◆ Male ◆ he/him Shadow dragons ◆ Two handed Warrior (Slayer)

I idealized him as a... mortal form Elgar'nan would use to mingle and learn the hell has happened while he was gone but he became a whole unique character. A Liberati of dalish origin, he's one of the angriest characters I have, hating humans for what they've done to his people and their rotten society, hating the chantry for its comforting lies, hating the elvhen gods because... well apparently they're evil now. In the end he's just very lost and heartbroken, desiring only for things to get better. Alas he's also practical and knows you gotta make your hands dirty if you wanna achieve anything. Headcanon wants Elgar'nan can control him through Vallaslin, I also fantasized about Sulenan sharing the same blood of his god. He feels comforted by Bellara's presence tho, his "Official" relationship it's going to be with her. For the headcanon chaotic one check LilRook above 👀

It's just... chaotic. Take the Dnd core rules and turn them into a person. They're unpredictable, at times taking a kind choice, while another time they will act in scary ways. It isn't like they don't like rules and push against them, for Anarca rules simply aren't part of their world. Beside their peculiar behavior, Anarca loves to experiment but mostly they want to have *fun*. You want to see the skeletons dance? You'll have that. Look wise people are always scared as they're extremely tall, most of their face half covered by hair with just their horns poking out.

Melancholic gal whom had to join the wardens in order to survive not so different from the Hero of Ferelden and also the token human (?) of this group. While she has a rooted sense of duty which made her a good warden, she still misses and fantasizes about the kind of life she would have gone through if she stayed among nobles, instead she had and still has to fight monsters and to come into terms with her Calling being closer than not. The idea was to have her romance Emmrich, letting her coming to term with the concept of death through him.

The cheerful and funny guy of the group but also the most clueless one. Honestly he doesn't know why he joined the Veilguard... he probably doesn't even know he's part of the Veilguard. Still, he isn't one to ask complex questions to himself or others, somehow he's able to work with whatever is at hand, navigating through every situation, hopefully bringing a smile on people's face in the meanwhile. He's goofy but still charismatic and enthusiastic, a disney princess in the body of a burly pirate drawf.

I AM ALIVE!!! AND WITH ANOTHER OC!!!

This is Thundara, or Dara (She’d prefer if you call her that, she has a big axe for a reason)!

Dara is one of my many One Piece ocs, she’s just the first one I’ve felt confident in posting on Tumblr. I’ve been a One Piece fan for years, even though the series is older than me, trust me my friends are sick of me talking about it. But I will go die on the hill that One Piece is one of the greatest fantasy stories of all time. Up there with Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit.

So for my One Piece fans, Dara is a half human/half fishman, but people don’t tend to believe Dara because she takes most of the characteristics of a fishman. ‘What type of fishman is Dara?’ Well I’m glad you asked! Dara is an Epaulette Shark fishman, a small shark reef shark off the waters of Australia and New Guinea. I wanted to make a One Piece oc that wasn’t a devil fruit user, mainly because that is the go to when it comes to oc One Piece characters. I love her design and that name I came up for her.

I also took inspiration from DnD, and the classes you could choose for your player character. Dara is what I consider a Barbarian class, she is a powerhouse fighter but sometimes forgets her own strength and could be a bit… dense. She’s not dumb!

She has her moments but Dara is capable warrior and fighter, you wanna know more about her? Stay tuned and find out!!!

i've been debating whether i wanna lay out scar's backstory or not because i enjoy the mystery of this lying little man who gets away with it every time gfjdkgjdf i'll give a little hint about one entity he encounters in his backstory ok; it's a fey creature and its body is completely made out of mossy stone :D maybe i'll try to draw something about their encounter that will explain a thing or two (or not)
