Can I have your headcanon of Thenamesh in the movie pleaseee? đ𫶠love yaaađ
Original Thenamesh headcanons! I've got plenty, let's talk.
So...Arthur proposed. He had been in love with Thena for plenty long enough of course, and everyone just kind of thought...oh, that's...cute. Gilgamesh just laughed and laughed. He thought it was adorable, like when little kids say they'll get married when they grow up or something. Arthur did not like being laughed at in this situation.
Sprite did make up the Epic of Gilgamesh, but she added the bit about him being a tyrannical king and huge asshole after he ate some dessert she had been saving. Gil felt really bad that this would go down in history but he agreed to let it go. Thena did not; she threw Sprite into the ocean the next day. They can't drown, keep in mind, but Sprite doesn't like swimming.
None of them are great swimmers. The movie shows that they can, but really they should all sink like stones. Sprite, Druig and Phastos are the worst, but Thena isn't much better, just kind of claws and flails around.
Thena did manage to help Gil with the Deviant that found them all the way out in Australia. It was the first time she had fought in literal centuries but Gil got in somewhat of a tight spot and they pulled it off. So, when Sersi says "even Ikaris couldn't kill it" it really is funny. The old married couple handled it just fine.
Everyone thinks Thena was the one who sewed Gil's frilly cute apron, but Thena doesn't know how to sew. Gil sewed the initial 'kiss the chef' and the face. Thena told him he should add a personal touch to it, and then he added the flowers.
Thena is still a restless sleeper by nature, but if she's dealing with the aftermath of an episode, she's like a cat drugged up for a flight. She'll close her eyes and fall right asleep. Gil just picks her up and moves her when need be. She'll wake up eventually.
Thena loves tending to all the lizards she finds. She's like a princess in a fairy tale, except instead of cute little furry creatures they all have scales and cold blood. She doesn't get along with snakes, though.
Gil is always trying to discourage her but there's at least one or two scaly dudes hanging around the house. In fairness, she has let him take in a pet a few times throughout their hundreds of years together. It's not all the time, though. They die so quickly, and he gets sad about it, so she only says yes once every fifty years or so.
Ignoring certain events in the movie, Jack and Thena and Gil get along great together. Jack and Thena really do vibe. He thinks her powers are cool, and she doesn't dress up her words or keep things from him just because he's a kid. Likewise, Thena can tell pretty easily what Jack is thinking or feeling. The first time he calls her Aunt Thena is the first time she experiences cute aggression and wants to pinch his cheeks. She pinches Gil's instead.
They spend some time travelling after everything rather than rebuild the house right away. They do hit Fiji, and plenty of other places. Thena doesn't do well with cars or boats or anything but Gil gives her a little something for her nerves and lets her sleep. Dane freaks out when he sees her taking an entire bottle of benedryl but Sersi tells him it's fine, it's just for the train ride.
Thena and Dane get along surprisingly well. Dane grows more confident the more he can get used to her, and Sersi and Gil are just happy their partners are getting along. Thena thinks Dane is funny, and Dane actually kind of likes how direct and dry Thena can be.
The more they're out in the real world, the more Gil learns that men these days have the audacity. Thena is getting not just flirted with but harassed constantly, and he is not here for it. He's always been Gilgamesh "my wife" the Strongest Eternal, but it's time for him to truly enter his my wife era.
It takes a lot for him to get drunk, but also alcohol isn't the same as it was hundreds of years ago. Gil learns what shots are and starts challenging people to arm wrestling. Sersi tells him he can't because he'll kill them, or at best rip their arms off.
They travel the planet for quite some time, spending some with their family, maybe even a few years depending on the place. Then they're off again. Eventually they wonder if more of the galaxy is worth seeing too.
#These are just a few#I have so many thoughts#so many feelings about original#Thenamesh#listen if I had my way Gil would never have died#he and Thena would be unstoppable and would have bodied Ikaris in a second#and would the movie have happened? no. but sacrifices must be made#anyway there are hints of some of these things in fics I've written#but these are some actual thoughts I've had I haven't managed to put places in particular#I do like the idea that Thena was responsible for the apron#but I don't see her as a seamstress#how does she spend her days?#well...doing her best#I think she helps Gil where she can#she has phases that are good and phases when she can barely lift her head up most days#Gil doesn't mind#he teaches her about the gardens and she goes out hunting or foraging when they can#just a married couple out in the desert

trying to figure out Lomion's relationships for the reverse gondolin au - so far I have Rog as his mentor instead of Eol and Celegorm as his "uncle". he's not particularly close with Idril, but Turgon helps him with the politics/statecraft stuff. anyways I can't figure out a marriage candidate for him for heir-identification purposes so
#silm#silmarillion#reverse gondolin au#not art#lomion#i dont really have any ship/sexuality headcanons for lomion#so idk who to stick him with#but he is the high king after all and does need somewhere for the crown to go in the case of his likely demise#maedhros can get away with zero children because he has plenty of brothers & cousins#but sadly lomion is an only child (or at least the only surviving child...?)#and by his reign most of his family has been wiped out#idril still sails in the au so she cant inherit#i think celebrimbor is the only close friend/family he has living after the destruction of gondolin??#celebrimbor def would not *want* to be king but i could see him taking the crown in an emergency#so that sauron/morgoth/whoever would focus on him and give his family/people time to escape#the lomion/tyelpe idea actually happened bc i was thinking about if he should be obsessed with the opposite cousin the au#since idril is like 300some years younger than him and they didn't meet until much later#and anyways they're even more cousins-removed than russingon so it should be fine right? lol#the other main marriage option im considering is giving one of the other Lords a kid#maybe egalmoth can have a random daughter somewhere in there?#i don't want to make it too much of a 'random person + random heir kid' situation#so maybe he can just adopt a kid? but then if he dies early the kid is too young#(bc he doesnt have a kid when idril arrives)#also gil galad is younger here to make the timelines work#anyways and if he dies early and his kid is too young but he's also not married and has no siblings then idk who would be regent#bc by the end of the FA i'm aiming to have turgon & aredhel dead; elwing & earendil dead/departed; tuor dead; and idril sailed#and then that leaves like nobody alive family wise#aaagh help me i have no idea who inherits after him#like. does celebrimbor have to be king for a few hundred years? he probably would sooner dissolve the formal kingship than deal with that#or do i throw it back at gil galad? how does gil even get to gondolin?? where does he come from

The Risk
part one: Match Made in Grey Haven
prompt: after your wedding, you and Elrond embark on your honeymoon touring Middle-earth. your company is attacked on the road by Orcs. help comes from an old friend.
pairing: Elrond x shy!female!wife!reader
fandom masterlist: The Rings of Power
word count: 7.1k+
note: internet researched Elven wedding customs, i don't want to hear it. keep the Elrond requests coming.
warnings: pre events of TROP, the "shyness" more so conveys as inexperience, romance, little bit of fluff, Gil-galad is a girl's girl, and Elven weddings! also cursing! violence! angst! character injury! Orcs! blood! literal hurt and comfort! emotions are hard! abrupt but happy ending, not edited, wonky brain went wonky, and intentionally misspelled words to indicate accent.
You spent a year and a half planning your wedding.
Due to your status amongst the Elves and their court, it was declared the event of the century and the High King himself demanded it be planned to the highest of exquisite detail. Granted, you and Elrond were content to marry in a quicker fashion, leaving it between family, but Gil-galad loved a good party and who were you to refuse your King?
So, you spent about 18 months (on and off) in Lindon, going over details and specifics with Gil-galad while Elrond did the King's actual work. You're positive Elrond was content to escape the wedding planning and honestly, you didn't mind as much as you feared you would because the King was opinionated, decently funny, and decisive. He spared no expense. He encouraged you to branch away from your usual humble taste. He wanted the whole of Elvendom to come together to celebrate. He wanted this occasion to be...his.
You had no objections.
You were honestly relieved someone else wanted to plan such an extraordinary event for you - but were beyond you ready to be married! Several times in the last several months, Elrond actually offered to elope - run away to the Gray Havens and marry before your beloved grandfather, Elrond's old master, CĂrdan - but the King was putting so much effort into your wedding, you didn't accept. It was nice, though, how mutually anxious Elrond appeared to be to marry you, too.
However, the past three moons, you've been absolutely inconsolable. Your wedding was only days away, Elrond had traveled to Eregion for "business" months ago, and CĂrdan had yet to arrive! You felt overwhelming panic consume your very being, becoming slightly more irritable as you couldn't help but feel (wrongfully) abandoned - should it not of been for your best mate, fellow Elleth, BĂŽril. She held your emotions in check, posed as buffer between you and emotional ruin, and was the voice of reason when your rationality vanished.
"What if something happened?" You worried during one of your late night, last minute sessions. "How would we know? What if - while traveling - something went awry?"
Gil-galad sighed gently, "Herald Elrond was sent with some of my most trusted warriors."
"Elrond is warrior enough by himself," BĂŽril smirked, "you worry for nothing - "
"I am supposed to get married in a matter of days and neither my grandfather nor my intended can be found. I think I have plenty to worry over!" Gil-galad and BĂŽril shared a knowing look while you wiped your face clear of frustrating fear. "I am not accustomed to not knowing. It's this unknown, the lack of answers that pushes me towards insanity."
"Well," BĂŽril smirked, her eyes casted towards the hall, "fear no longer, sweet friend, all your answers approach."
In confusion, you turned in the seat you had been slumped in, seeing Elrond and CĂrdan heading down the hall towards the room you were gathered in. With a gasp, you leapt from your chair and rushed into the causeway towards your dearest loved ones. "Thank the Valar! Elrond!" You gasped first, flinging yourself into his arms; which coiled around you tightly and lifted you, his face burying in your neck. "My love - where were you? What happened - why the delay?" Your voice cracked as your whispered, "You said you'd be only 6 weeks, you were gone twice that! I was so worried!"
"I'm so sorry for worrying you, my star," he whispered back; breath hot in your ear. "I'll explain it all," he promised, lowering you back to your feet to pull back only to instantly take your cheeks in his hands. "I'm sorry it took so long, but I promise, it was for a good reason," he told you softly, thumbs sweeping over the apples of your cheeks; then glancing over pointedly at your grandfather.
"And you!" You scolded playfully. "We expected you weeks ago! Yet you sent no word!"
"We were delayed," CĂrdan smirked, approaching you as Elrond released his hold; confirming they were together this time. "C'mere, sweet one," he chuckled, bringing you in for a tight embrace. After releasing, he gently tapped the button of your nose, "I am here now, ready to help where I can."
"Oh, please," you chuckled, taking a half-step closer to your betrothed, "there's nothing left to be done, our generous King has planned it all for us. I'm just relieved you are both safe."
Elrond smiled and wrapped his arm around your waist, bringing you in to place a sweet peck on your cheek. "Come," your fiancé encouraged, and when you reentered the planning chambers, you realized others had followed you in.
Evidently, Elrond had gone to Eregion on "business", yes, but it was personal. He had gifted you a ring to symbolize your engagement; modest, silver, simple, gorgeous, and so perfectly "Elrond" - but he wasn't satisfied with it, apparently. As per Elven customs, the engagement rings would be exchanged at the ceremony for wedding bands, and Elrond was determined to give you something extravagant - to prove his adoration. So, he went to Eregion and forged with the Greatest of the Elven Smiths, Lord Celebrimbor, a wedding ring he thought suitable for your finger. CĂrdan met them to aid in the creation of this gorgeous ring Elrond crafted - insisting you couldn't see it until the ceremony. The trio also crafted Elrond a matching wedding ring that would only accentuate yours; another show of his devotion to you.
Hence their collective delay. Lord Celebrimbor arrived with them, greeting you with mirth; truly excited and honored to have been involved with your wedding band creation.
You were just relieved everyone finally safe and gathered in Lindon. That night, you laid in bed with Elrond; deflated by relief, just staring at him, hand on his cheek, caressing his flesh. "Next time, send word if you're to be late," you requested in a whisper.
"I'm sorry," he repeated, "we were so focused, purely driven by creating something that you'll have forever - we lost track of so much time."
"How many rings did you make?"
"Too many. Though, Celebrimbor will have now options to gift others."
You both snickered, sighing with contentment. Then you whispered, "I fear I might owe a few people an apology..."
"Why? What happened?"
"I was... Operating on a short fuse while worried about you. Might've gotten a little snappy."
"You were rude?" He gasped comically. "I didn't know you even knew how to be."
"Hush," you breathed, leaning closer, "I was worried."
"But I'm here now," he promised, hand to your neck encouraging you to kiss him.
After that, the days passed in a breeze, as if a collective sigh of relief had been heaved by all of Lindon.
And then, the morning of your wedding finally arrived and it was like chaos struck. You never knew, but apparently, outside the chambers you used to prepare in, Gil-galad had everyone rushing around to perfect final details; prepare food, set tables, water and arrange flowers, retrieve whatever was requested by other guests. However, you were none the wiser (as he intended), being fretted over by all types of Elves who were impassioned to make you and your day as flawless as possible.
The High King ensured Elrond was taken care of, the young Herald quiet and seemingly concentrated on his thoughts; lips moving without words, repeating his vows to himself silently. Before it could've been questioned, CĂrdan arrived with a velveteen jewelry box; appearing ready for the day's events, as if awake for hours.
"Here," CĂrdan smiled, shooing away the attendants so he could sit beside Elrond, "this is for you, my boy."
"My Lord?" Elrond questioned softly, accepting the gift.
"It's customary."
"What is?" He wondered, opening the lid and revealing a gorgeous, glimmering broach. "Lord CĂrdan - "
"It's custom for the bride's mother to gift her new son-in-law a gem to be worn as a boastful show of the joining of two families," the craftsman explained. "This... This sapphire belonged to my daughter, and now, I'd like you to have it."
"I don't think I could accept - "
"It is customary," Gil-galad stepped in, seeing the refusal ready on Elrond's tongue.
So, Elrond swallowed his nerves and nodded to CĂrdan, "Thank you, my Lord. This stone is... Beyond words, surely, only it's previous owner could rival it's beauty."
The tears were bright in CĂrdan's eyes the rest of the day.
Due to the lack of conventional family, the ceremony was kept between only the High King Gil-galad as officiant and CĂrdan as witness. The King had designated a private overlook for your ceremony, standing at the cliffside under the golden glow of the Great Tree with Elrond in fine velvet tunics; gorgeous sapphire glittering on his chest, keeping his father's cloak in place as his own special tribute. Just as the sky turned heavenly, sun in position to set, CĂrdan began to lead you down the pathway - towards your forever.
Elrond choked on air, tears slowly filling his eyes.
You were draped in the finest of silks, a thin veil covering your face; hair in long ringlets, pinned back from your face in an elegant updo. It was like the Light of Valinor itself was shining through you, nearly blinding Elrond with sheer bliss. It was almost as if time slowed, nearly stilling completely; as if your form was moving in slow motion. Even under the sheer veil, Elrond could see your grin and suddenly, he couldn't hear, see, smell, feel anything but your love and light.
With a gentle sniffle, Elrond glanced at Gil-galad, who was beaming with pride already; his own growing, which nobody realized was even possible. Upon approach, Elrond instantly met you at the base of the stone stairs; watching CĂrdan give a watery smile while hugging you sweetly. He pulled back, gently lifted the veil to flip over your head, and sighed while caressing both cheeks.
In Sindarin, he whispered, "They'd be so proud of the woman you've become... And the man you're marrying. Just as I am."
Now, Elrond choked on his emotion.
"Thank you for everything," you managed to whisper, your grandfather sighing gently before guiding your hand from his into Elrond's. He joined Gil-galad on the platform, both watching proudly as Elrond was at a loss for words - only able to look you up and down.
Finally, he breathed in Sindarin, "Gorgeous."
Before the Elven High King and under your grandfather's loving eye, you and Elrond exchanged vows during sunset. It was intimate and private, either of you slipping your engagement rings off as CĂrdan presented your wedding bands. You gasped when you saw the ring Elrond crafted for the first time, looking at him with wide eyes, voice gentle as you asked, "You made this?"
"I did."
"For... Me?"
Elrond smiled, "Of course. A wife as beautiful as you deserves a ring that could only strive to embody your shine."
"Don't make me scold you for being so cheesy on our wedding day, my love, please," you giggled, Elrond chuckling while he took your hand to splay before him. He slid the ring onto your index finger, allowing you to do the same with his matching band. Neither of you were able to contain your glee when Gil-galad pronounced you officially as man and wife - Elrond all but lunging forward to hold your cheeks, swooping in to sear your lips with his kiss. You were just as excited, holding onto his biceps to keep him close; feeling warmth swell and burst in your chest as you realized... You were finally married.
After, at the feast Gil-galad had planned, the whole of Lindon was decorated and celebrating your union; hosts of food on long banquet tables, live bands entertaining the crowds, lanterns and candles glowing, conversation turning boisterous as Elves indulged on the castes of wine gifted or collected by the King.
Who, if you were wondering, was hosting the entire affair and having a splendid time as BĂŽril danced with Camnir - seemingly to Vorohil's chagrin, which Elrond pointed out to you first.
You were just happy to bask in your husband's glory; unable to believe he was yours, that you get to spend your life with him, that you were bound together. He seemed... Youthful in this setting; a young lad that was forced to grow up too quickly, finally able to appreciate the attention directed at him while gracefully accepting words of congratulations everywhere he turned. It was so simple, something decently mundane, but you found it impressive; the way Elrond could accept conversation from just anyone.
It simply intimidated you; content with your written letters and accounts, never truly needing to interact with people on this level. You were better, not quite as shy as before, but old habits die hard and overcoming social anxiety was a lifelong profession. Speaking of, your anxiety spiked from the sheer number of attendants, but Elrond was both sword and shield - intercepting people left and right, saving you from any "on the spot" moments.
The party went deep into the night, and while it was a fun time - complete with BĂŽril challenging the High King to a silly drinking game, Celebrimbor teaching the steps to an old dance, and Vorohil getting shot down by several Elleths - you were beyond exhausted. Perhaps you didn't hide it as well as you thought because Elrond slid into his empty seat and instantly leaned into your ear to ask, "All right, love?"
"Hmm? Yeah, 'course," you answered, setting the glass of First Age wine (a gift from Celebrimbor) aside to focus on him. Gently caressing his chin, you asked, "You all right?"
"Perfect, actually, just look at my wife," he mused, "though, you look tired, my star."
You hummed, "Can't fool you, can I?"
"It's my job now," he chuckled, letting you lean in gleefully to peck his lips. "How about we slip away? Hm?" He whispered softly, glancing around dramatically - like he was conducting a secret mission.
"Yes, please," you hissed, both snickering lightly. Like a couple of randy youths, you stood with the gifted First Age bottle, hands tangled together, 'sneaking' away to your rooms; thinking you were pulling it off, being so sneaky.
"Oh, bless their hearts, look. Look! I love those idiots," BĂŽril giggled to the King, "they're so obvious! Look at them go!"
"They're in loooove," Gil-galad teased, refilling his goblet.
"Guess they just can't wait to consummate their marriage, huh? Good for Elrond," Camnir snickered, freezing when CĂrdan's blank stare registered. "I-I'm so sorry, my Lord, I did not - I misspoke - I didn't think you, uh... I'm sorry."
CĂrdan just groaned lightly, his friend, Lord Celebrimbor, leaning over to top off his glass and encourage it closer to him; patting his shoulder in sympathy. BĂŽril and Gil-galad truly tried to hold back, but the scene was truly comical to witness and the two laughed so hard, they ended up leaning on each other and slumping in their chairs.
The party continued without you and Elrond, but it's safe to say, you were engaged in a party of your own.
"You've been quiet, love," you noted softly, one hand held tightly by Elrond's, the other holding your horse's reins; walking to give them a break on this leg of the journey. For weeks, you've been on the road together, touring Middle-earth as part of your honeymoon.
Never having been anywhere other than the Gray Havens and Lindon, you were like a new born fawn in the wilderness - but it was exhilarating to travel.
"Hmm?"
"You're pensive," you amended.
"I am simply in thought, my star, nothing of concern," Elrond assured.
"You're sullen."
"I don't mean to be," he sighed.
"What's troubling you?"
Elrond was quiet for a long moment, stepping carefully as neither of you noticed thick, dark clouds beginning to fill the sky. Finally, he admitted quietly, "We are not far from Khazad-dûm."
You hummed in understanding, then pondered while stepping around overgrown tree roots, "Remind me why we did not extend Prince Durin a wedding invitation?"
"We did," Elrond informed, sighing deeply, "he just... Did not respond..."
"That does not sound like him, based on your account."
"No, it was truly... Odd," Elrond admitted, "perhaps being why I feel strange being close to his kingdom now."
"Do you wish to visit?"
"We don't have the time - "
"We can make time, Elrond," you insisted, squeezing his hand with a grin. "And as far as anyone is concerned, the great Dwarven Kingdom of Khazad-dûm is part of Middle-earth, and therefor, part of our tour. I'd like to meet your friend, my sweet. Now, which direction?"
"We don't have time, starlight, we are expected by Lord - "
But Elrond came to a sudden halt, pulling you into his side as both your horses stamped and whinnied loudly; tossing their heads and snorting, the whites of the eyes flashing as ears flattened as they suddenly stopped in place. You flinched into your husband's side, the horses restless, guards circling around the pair of you quickly. Darkness descended.
"What is it?" You asked in concerned confusion.
"Something is amiss," Elrond rushed, looking confused and concentrated. "I-I do not know what, but the shadow has stretched. C'mere, mount up, my love, quickly, please."
"My Lord," Vorohil, one of your guards and a friend to your husband, directed his horse between yours while Elrond ensured you were safely seated, "there's a darkness to the path ahead, the horses - they are refusing to go forward. It grows darker, my Lord."
You had to reseat yourself as Elrond mounted; the horses backing away as there sounded a ghostly moan from the woods surrounding you.
"This darkness?" Elrond repeated, "Where did it come from? 'Tis midday - "
"Look around us!" Vorohil barked, Elrond sending him a sharp look before looking up - realizing there seemed to be a sort of dark cloud covering the sun, your path, and the woods surrounding you.
You gasped when there came a sudden, horrendous, guttural screech in an echo, making it impossible to locate the origin; and suddenly, a force bodied into your side. It knocked you from your horse, but due to the sudden nature of the attack, also took your beast down with you.
You were lucky your leg didn't shatter on impact.
You heard Elrond scream your name; body hitting the dirt and rolling a few feet before being halting by a boulder. Your sight cleared, evened out, gasping again and shoving yourself against the jagged rock in an attempt to create distance when you saw the horrid, gangly creature made of pure, tangible darkness - pure evil - muddy and growling while surging towards you with gnashing teeth.
A sword decapitated the creature before it could reach you, making you flinch at the show of violence. Your name was spoken in a rush, but you couldn't comprehend hearing words yet; staring at the dead creature, twitching from the severed nervous system at your feet - spewing black blood. Your eyes caught sight of it splattered up your skirt.
Boots hit the ground, a pair of hands caressing both your cheeks and making you gasp in panic. But Elrond's worried face was in front of yours, speaking soothingly in Sindarin, "Easy, easy, be calm, it's me, my love, it's just me. I'm so sorry, but we have to go - now, my love, please, get up for me, come with me - "
"My Lord!"
"Elrond!"
Elrond was forced to stand over you and use his bloody blade to defend you both; choking back tears as you realized this was an ambush by Orcs, creatures of pure hate; something Middle-earth thought extinct after not having been seen in an age. And you were defenseless.
"NO!" You gasped when a hand came around your throat, hoisting back into the boulder; holding you in place as two Orcs ravaged your body for anything of value they could've taken. When they tried taking your wedding ring, you fought back harder - struggling in their putrid arms, sobbing, trying to stave them off. "ELROND!" You begged, gagging when the hand around your throat constricted to close your airway.
"Just cut the bloody thing off!"
You whimpered when you were overpowered, hand flattened to the rock forcefully; fingers spread, the Orcs snarling as a dagger was brandished and stabbed directly into the boulder through your pointer finger.
"Y/N!" Vorohil was heard struggling, your cries muffled from the lack of air and tight hand. The gem-glittering belt you wore was yanked from your waist just as the Orc holding you hostage was ripped away, making the other react by stabbing your lung with his dagger between your ribs.
After Elrond killed the first Orc, he instantly engaged the second; only Vorohil catching sight of you freezing before slowly collapsing against the boulder and sliding down it. He noted the smear of blood you left on the rock before the blade protruding from your ribcage.
You were in shock. The pain was insurmountable, yet you felt nothing at the same time. Numb. Confused. Overwhelmed. Paralyzed.
The fighting lasted several long minutes after that, your dress now properly saturated as you knew enough survival skills to not pull the blade free of an injury; it acted as a plug to keep the blood from pouring OUT of your body. You were left on the ground, slumped, weakly holding your wound and feeling unable to react when an Orc leered closer to you.
Elrond's blade emerged from the Orc's chest and was yanked free, the body dropping to reveal your husband; bloodied, panting, caught off guard, but obviously fairing well enough. He was in the heat of the moment, battle turning his blood hot, eyes catching something glittering in the mud and only thinking how out of place it looked. When he blinked, Elrond realized it was your wedding ring - complete with your severed finger still in it.
Elrond snatched the digit from the mud, eyes raking over you, needing to do a double look when he realized the extent of your injuries. Your finger was lost but your ring was secured in your husband's belt.
"No," he whimpered, rushing forward and dropping his sword to take hold of your cheek; blood gently leaking from your nose at a slow but steady pace. "No, no, no, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, stay with me, stay awake for me," he begged, sniffling emotion as his other hand laid over yours around the dagger's handle, "just let me see, let me see the damage, my love, c'mon, I've got you. I need to see to help."
You were too weak to fight him anyways, letting his muddy hand pry yours away to reveal the weeping wound. His eyes widened, nodding as he assessed the situation; wanting to get you out of here, but the Orcs weren't yet vanquished.
In fact, Elrond was tackled off you by another Orc, crying out when the momentum yanked the dagger free. Ironic timing, perhaps, because an injured Orc was clawing at your legs; biting at your flesh; making you grit your teeth, pick up the dagger, and drive it into the Orc's eye. You were relieved when the creature stopped moving; adrenaline instantly draining and making you slump back once more.
You didn't notice when the Orcs were fully killed off until Elrond was propping you up again, sprayed in blood and mud, tears in his warm brown eyes. "No, my starlight, no, you have to stay awake, you must," he reminded, getting one arm around you, the other first laying to your openly bleeding wound, then shoving the dead Orc off your legs. Elrond cursed in Sindarin when he noted the bite marks, how dirty nails left deep streaks after clawing up your body. "Please, stay awake," he hissed, cradling you into his chest before calling out, "Vorohil!"
"My Lord!"
"We need to get her to a healer - where? Where?" He begged, sniffling as you were shifted into his arms and lifted; few surviving horses being wrangled in.
"I don't - I don't know - "
"You are the cartographer!" Elrond snapped, "Tell me where to take her, where are we closest - !?"
"My Lord," Vorohil sighed, "t-the closest civilization to these parts is-is Khazad-dûm - "
"Hurry!" He barked, situating you sideways on his horse before swiftly mounting; settling you into his chest with a secure hold. The others were left in the dirt as Elrond spurred his steed onward, knowing the way to the Great Dwarven Kingdom of Khazad-dûm.
Upon arriving at the gates, he was a frenzied mess. Elrond doesn't even remember the procession of events; he just knows his men showed up at his flank, he was holding your limp body, begging for aid, and someway, somehow, was then lead into the Kingdom's healing quarters.
"Elrond?" A voice questioned softly, a few nurses and healers checking over the remaining company as you were laid on a surgical table. "Is tha'... You?"
He looked over, eyes void, dead, still splattered in the blood and grime of his enemies. "Durin," Elrond whispered.
"What happened?" The Dwarf Prince asked carefully, taking a slow step forward.
"We... We were..." Elrond looked back at you, hating how many healers surrounded you, "We were attacked - just less than a league from here."
"I see. Who... Who attacked you?"
"A pack of Orcs," he whispered, stumbling back into a wall as his breathing turned ragged, "while we were on the road."
"She's not breathing!" It was announced, Elrond sliding to the floor as horror struck his face. Panic seized his heart, short circuited his brain.
"Elrond?" Durin worried, Disa rushing into the room after him. "Hey? Can yah hear me?" The ginger asked, hand to Elrond's shoulder. "Elrond? Elrond, can yah - "
"I need help! Hold here! She's bleeding!"
"I can't see the wound - cut the corset!"
" - the finger's been lost - "
"She's got bruising on her neck, help me save her windpipe!"
Elrond's breathing became erratic, knees pulling into his chest as his men stood firm in support. Tears were streaming down his cheeks, Durin asking his name again, then, "Who is she?"
"M-My wife - she's my wife, Durin, she's my wife - "
"Okay, okay, okay," Durin comforted, kneeling to the ground at Elrond's side; keeping themselves separate as Disa neared them slowly. Durin shot her a look, silently saying 'close enough', and she stopped - heart aching for the devastation on the Elf's face.
"What's this? An Elf!?" Another Dwarf was heard barking.
"We do not deny aid!" A different Healer Dwarf barked, quickly shedding your dress and revealing your wounds to the room; making a few avert their eyes and hiss as ebony poison had taken to the veins around the wound.
"Do what needs done!" Durin barked, "To save her life! Use any means necessary!"
"You heard your Prince!"
"C'mon," Disa encouraged the Elves, "we should let the Healers work, we do not want to get in their way."
"Is there... Somewhere we can wait, nearby?" Vorohil asked nervously, glancing at you, who was being fussed over as blood splattered onto the ground; wound raging, blood covering your side as they seemed to aggravate the wound in order to clean it of the infection. "What if they need us?" Vorohil whispered.
"We have somewhere close-by for yah's," Disa assured. "Durin?" She asked, "Perhaps Elrond would like t'wait with us?"
"We'll be along," he agreed, knowing Elrond was like a rock in that moment. Disa lead the others away, leaving Durin to sigh and take a seat beside Elrond; just watching the Healers at work. "So, uh, how long yeh been married?"
"We... We sent you, um, a, uh..."
"Oh, right, yeah, yeah, of course. So... Only a couple months, then?"
"Seems like no time at all."
Durin chuckled, "Nah, two months in? You's two are still in that blissful state."
"And when it ends?"
"Oh, yeh'll see, married life becomes all yah know." Durin sighed, hating himself but needing to ask, "What happened to her, Elrond?"
The Elf shook his head, the tears never ending; suffocating him. "The horses," he managed to choke out.
"What of 'em?"
Elrond gulped. "They picked up on it first - that's what I noticed. They didn't want to go down the path, then this sort of darkness came... It was quick... It happened so quick, Durin, I did not - I did not see nor hear them. We were unprepared."
"What else?" Durin was unusually soft.
Elrond shook his head, "I got her on her horse, something didn't feel right. I thought - I just thought to get her out of there, get to safety - you know?"
"Just in case?"
"Yes. But the darkness - it brought them, let them move in the daylight. They tackled her from her horse - I tried to get to her. I swear, Durin, I tried, but it was all so fast - I didn't even see her get hurt. I just found her like that, holding on. What kind of husband can't even defend his own wife? By the end... She was... She wasn't..."
Elrond melted into sobs, folding in on himself, Durin's frown deep and concerning. Despite his own feelings of malcontent towards his old friend, he reached out and let his arm wrap around Elrond's neck. This allowed the Elf to lean into the Dwarf's neck and absolutely lose his shit. Not like anyone heard him, though; the Healers all yelling over one another as they rushed around in an effort to pull the blackened poison from your body.
You don't remember much. Just pain.
Then you remember voices. They were all around you, yet hazy; like you were underwater.
You remember smells - like alcohol and disinfectant.
You remember warmth in your hand; a weight, a constant presence that you squeezed when you felt ready to open your eyes. The twilight had passed, you were awake, a soothing voice cooing and encouraging you back into reality. It was just hard to pull yourself out of the tarpit your mind was seemingly lost in.
Upon regaining consciousness, you were greeted by Elrond's tearful expression of relief. "My love," he spoke clearly, "can you hear me?" You nodded, trying to open your mouth, but he rushed, "No, no, do not - don't do that, don't try to talk. Save your strength, please. You're okay." You nodded again, watching his watery smile warble before dissolving into sobs. "I thought you wouldn't make it," he admitted through his emotional breakdown, hovering close to you if only to feel your warmth and be assured that blood still pumped freely through your body.
"I had reason to come back," you whispered, earning a stony look of reprimand before he sighed and leaned in to kiss your forehead.
"Here, I have something for you," Elrond sniffled, reaching for his belt, "and I cannot keep it any longer." Your brows furrowed when your husband retrieved a bright gem, quickly realizing it was your wedding ring. Elrond saw your confusion, lifting your hand to place the ring on your pointer finger - making you lift the other, finding it bandaged with only four fingers. Your head snapped towards Elrond, but he begged, "Please, just rest, my star, you've been through enough - "
"What happened?" You demanded in a gravely voice.
"Do not - "
"Tell me."
Elrond sighed and situated himself at your side, careful not to jostle your form. "Well, first... We are in the Dwarven Kingdom of Khazad-dûm." He descended into the tale of how you lost your ring and obtained further injury, then rushed to get help, being reunited with Prince Durin, and ending on how you've been asleep for 'too long'.
You croaked, "I'd like to thank our hosts..."
"That can wait until you've rested longer. You've been unconscious for days."
"Then I've rested enough."
"I almost lost you," Elrond growled, "you will not move, not until you are cleared to do so. And I have the best authority to ensure you follow the rules."
You chuckled, "Oh?"
Elrond went to answer, but frowned in a panic when you started coughing from the dry prickle in your mouth and throat; quickly fetching the cup of water from the side stand. "Easy, my star, here, carefully, carefully," he whispered, holding the back of your neck, helping you sit up only slightly as to not irritate your abdomen, and tip the cup to your mouth to fill it with cold, fresh water.
"How's our patient doin' today, Elrond?" A voice asked cheerfully, "I'm tellin' yah, I can feel it, she'll be awake in no time, real soon, and then you'll actually sleep - "
"You have not slept!?" You asked sharply, looking to Elrond and noting the contradiction to his flesh; how pale he appeared with dark circles under his eyes, cheeks sunken.
Yes, Elves didn't need sleep like humans or Dwarves, but still, they needed some - and it was evident Elrond had none.
The Dwarf gasped and whirled around to spy you awake and conscious on the stony bed they had layered with fluff, furs, and blankets for your comfort. She dropped the tray of nutrients to another table, looking like she wanted to rush you. "You're awake!" She squealed.
"Disa - "
"DURIN!" She bellowed, hiking up her skirts and rushing from the room, "SHE'S AWKAE! DURIN! DUUURIN!"
You couldn't help the laughter that burst forth, wincing when your side seared in pain - making you choke on air. Elrond muttered to himself in Sindarin, finding a wet cloth and approaching your injury, carefully lifting the thin sheet covering you and peeling the bandage off. You heard Elrond hiss between his teeth, you trying to glance at the mark - but your husband would not let you. "Just stay still, my love," he whispered, "this won't take long, but it might sting - "
You grunted and whimpered when Elrond began soaking your wound; the cold water feeling nice in the hot infection, but making you squirm from discomfort. "Elrond," you begged, hand slapping to his wrist, "please."
"I know, but it needs cleaned - it won't hurt forever, my love."
"Oi," the Dwarf, Disa, snapped as she reentered the room, "get away from there, Elrond, go, go, go, shoo, let me through."
"Disa - "
"No," She now scolded Elrond, pushing him to stand straight and take the cloth from him, "your only job is to be a husband, not Healer - that's my job. You stand over there, hold her hand, and - DURIN!" She suddenly shouted towards the door, where a ginger Dwarf revealed himself sheepishly.
"Oh," you breathed in interest, trying to sit up a little, "Prince Durin, what an honor - "
"Oh, no, no, you don't, lassie, you lay back - just lay back."
"Listen to Disa, starlight," Elrond worried, both their hands reaching out to try to gently encourage you back down.
"It's customary to greet royalty on your feet - "
"Not in yer state, dearie," Disa comforted softly, patting your shoulder; Elrond gently caressing the top of your head. "Just rest - Durin will come to you," She shot her husband a look, who slowly entered the room.
"I just - I want to thank you, Prince Durin," you stuttered, wincing as Disa started tending to your wound again. "For saving me - or saving us, so I hear."
"Ah," Durin cleared his throat, nodding with pursed lips, "'twas nothing, uh, my Lady, we just... Couldn't say no to the state of things."
"Still. Thank you," you breathed. "And for your friendship to Elrond, it's been - "
"Starlight," Elrond quietly discouraged you with a small head shake, looking just as uncomfortable as the ruddy-faced Dwarf.
"What? What's wrong?" You asked, but neither man could meet your eyes. So, you looked to Disa, "What did I say?"
"Oh, you said nothin', dearie; 's just two stubborn mules refusin' to speak of the boulder in the room," she tisked with a small smirk.
"Do you think this boulder has to do with your absence from our wedding? I must admit, I allowed myself to feel excited, thinking we'd finally meet; and was entirely saddened by your lack of attendance."
"I know, sweetling, me too," she assured with a sigh, "but their boulder is truly suffocatin' - prevents them from speakin'."
"Oh-hhhh," you hitched the word to exaggerate, both your husbands stunned into silence by the quickly casual conversation, "so, like most men?"
"Mhm," she hummed sassily. "Friends for decades, Durin even considers Elrond a brother - "
" - So does Elrond - "
" - And yet, the fools cannot bear t'speak few words t'mend the bond! Oh, it's absolutely pigheaded!"
"What exactly needs mending?" You pondered softly. "I thought..." You looked over to see Elrond's head bowed, both hands resting in your single one; looking ashamed. "Elrond?" You asked, squeezing his hand.
"It's nothin' of note anymore, my Lady," Durin stepped in, making your suspicion grow, "just... A little, uh..."
"Distance," Elrond supplied finally, lifting his head and nodding, "our tension stems from a matter of distance."
"Hm," you noted, turning to Disa - who was already offering you a tired, pointed look. "What do you know of this boulder?"
"Oh, aye, it's distance," she nodded, frowning, "some... 20 years of it? Or just about."
"Has it been only 20?" Elrond questioned softly, looking earnestly to his friend; who stiffly looked away, but you saw the cracks in the ginger's foundation.
"'Only'?" You repeated, Disa sending her husband a look. "Prince Durin, my Princess, you must forgive my husband - he can forget how... Long life is. 20 years is a mere blink to an Elf, but to the other races, Elrond, it's a lifetime."
"I did not mean to offend," Elrond told you.
"I know, love, but you speak to the wrong person - I am not the one who deserves to hear your apologies," you said, pointing at Durin with your wedding ring firmly in place.
Elrond agreed and turned to his friend, admitting, "I'm sorry for the offense I've caused. I did not realize so much time had passed." Durin scoffed, Disa growling his name. "Is there more I've done? I do not understand, I have missed my friend - "
"Missed!? Yah missed my weddin'!" Durin snarled in a shout, your head resting on the pillow under your head and deflating in pain as Disa worked to fix one of the stitches.
"You missed ours - "
"And the birth of my children! Two of 'em!" Durin tacked on. "You cannot barge into my mountain and demand I welcome you with open arms! You cannot claim that which you discarded! I did yah this favor because of the obvious threat to life, and I comforted you in the wake of yer wife's injury! I ignored my own woes and bygones because that was the decent thing t'do! I mean," he chuckled without humor, "even when yeh wrong me and refuse to even take ownership - accountability - for yer wrongdoings, I still comfort yah!"
"'Discarded'? 'Refuse to take'..." Elrond repeated, "Durin, I - "
"It's as yer wife said!" Durin growled, "20 years might be the blink of an eye to an Elf... But I've lived an entire life in that time!" Emotion caked Durin's tone. "A life you missed! So, yeah, yeh know what? We missed yer weddin', yeah... But you've missed the past 20 years..." There came an awkward sort of silence, the group stewing in their tension. The Dwarven Prince scoffed a couple times as Elrond processed his words, asking with attitude, "So what do yah have t'say to that... 'Friend'?"
You smirked gently as Elrond did not respond, instead slowly approaching his friend as if a skittish, injured deer. Slowly, in a fluid movement, Elrond laid his hand to Durin's shoulder, squeezing as he spoke with sincerity, "Congratulations." Disa laid her hand in your bandaged one, both smiling as she paused her cleaning session to watch and listen. "On your wife, your children," Elrond elaborated. He slowly retracted his hand, "And thank you for your help, the aid that saved my wife's life. Thank you for comforting me, too; I hope you can come to forgive me."
You cleared your throat, the two turning to find their wives watching them smugly. "I think you might owe someone else an apology, my love," you whispered.
"Disa - "
"Don't even," she beamed, "yer already forgiven."
"Ah, don't let him off easy," Durin grumbled.
"His wife almost died in front of him, I think that's reparation enough."
Durin paused for a long moment, then nodded, "Yeah, all right, fair enough."
"Now," Disa announced, standing, "I think the Lady's wound is as good as it'll get for now - it's up to you for the rest of the healing," she patted your shoulder.
"On the morrow, we shall - "
"Oh, no, you mistake me," Disa smirked to Elrond, "there's no leavin' yet. She's not ready - she can't sit on a horse, one awkward bump on the road and she'll pop a stitch, start bleeding, risk worse infection - "
"How long?" Elrond worried, magnetized to your side again with one hand in yours, the other caressing the top of your head to stroke your hair in calming motions.
"Just a few days, until the stitches come out," Disa assured. "Yeh'll stay with us!"
"No, they will not," Durin argued.
"They're staying."
"They're leaving."
"They're staying!" Disa scolded her husband, who huffed and shook his head before pacing in a circle. "Now, yeh wanna try t'move around a bit, love?"
"Please," you begged, "losing my mind just sittin' here."
"All right, just be careful - your legs took a beatin', too. Them buggers got you good with their teeth - easy, easy, there's a good girl." Once on your feet and both hands in Disa's, she distracted you from the pain by asking, "So, go on, lass, tell us 'bout yer weddin', hmm?"
You chuckled, stumbling a little into her arms before rightening yourself while answering, "Oh, it was lovely. 'M pretty sure my best friend hooked up with the High King, too."
"No!"
"I know! I knew the King wanted the party of the century, but there's other ways to achieve such status."
Durin snickered, thinking Elrond looked like he was going to have a stroke as Disa helped guide you around the room to earn your bearings. Behind you, Durin's hand held Elrond's shoulder to keep him in place; letting Disa assist you as the two men appreciated the obvious relationship blooming before them.
And years from now, when your daughter rescued the Ring Bearing Hobbit, Frodo Baggins, your husband would heal him; a direct result after nearly losing your life that caused him to study the art.

The Weight of the Weary
A/N: Gil-Gadaddy was calling my name. Alliance of Shadows is still on it's way! I just needed to appease the high king a little bit.
Pairing: Gil- Galad X Reader
Warnings: None
______________________________________________________________
Lindon shines brightest in the evening sun, the tree casting the city in its warm glow, its warm light spills into your private chambers where you and Gil-Galad sit together, savoring a rare moment of peace. Heâs quiet, his posture stiff, and you can see the weight of his duties pressing down on him, even in this brief respite.
You watch him for a moment, studying the lines of tension etched into his brow. His mind is far away, no doubt torn between Elrond and Galadrielâtwo of the most important figures in his life, and two of the most stubborn. A soft smile tugs at your lips as you think of Galadriel, so full of fire and willfulness, almost like a daughter to you both, despite being much older than you both. You glance at Gil-galad, raising a playful eyebrow.
âYou were a bit harsh on her today, you know,â you say, nudging him lightly with your elbow. âGaladriel might act tough, but even she has her limits.â
He sighs, running a hand through his dark hair, clearly anticipating your teasing admonishment. His lips curve into a faint smile, but itâs tempered by weariness. âI was not harsh, merely... firm,â he replies, though thereâs a trace of doubt in his voice. âShe needed to be reminded of her place.â
You chuckle softly. âSheâs not a child, love. You canât keep her reined in forever. Besides, sheâs as much your family as I am. You donât have to keep your guard up with her all the time.â
He leans back, his expression shifting from playful to weary, his hand rubbing the back of his neck as if to release some of the strain. âI feel stretched between themâbetween Elrondâs endless optimism and Galadrielâs relentless determination. It is like trying to balance two storms, each one pulling me in a different direction.â
You place a gentle hand on his arm, drawing his attention back to you. âThey both want whatâs best, but they are different in how they go about it. They look to you because they trust your wisdom, your strength.â You pause, softening your tone. âBut sometimes, I think you try too hard to keep them happy, to keep everyone in line.â
He sighs deeply, the sound of someone who has carried far too much for far too long. âI must. I am their king, their leader. If I falter, if I show weaknessââ
âYouâre not weak,â you interrupt gently, moving closer to him. âBut you donât have to carry all of this on your own.â
Gil-Galad looks at you, his deep eyes searching your face, as if heâs unsure how to accept that offer. Heâs always been proud, always the one to shoulder the burdens of his people, his friends, and now you can see how that weight has begun to wear him down. Your heart aches for him, for the man who bears so much responsibility yet so rarely lets anyone see his vulnerability.
âYouâre not alone in this,â you murmur, taking his hand in yours. âLet me help you, even if itâs just in moments like this. You donât have to do it all by yourself.â
He squeezes your hand, his thumb brushing over your skin as he looks at you with a tenderness thatâs usually hidden behind the mantle of kingship. âI forget, sometimes, that I donât have to. With you, I never have to.â
You smile softly, leaning into him, resting your head against his shoulder. The warmth of his body, the steady rise and fall of his breath, brings you a sense of peace you know he needs as much as you do.
âYouâve carried so much on your shoulders for so long,â you whisper. âLet me take some of the burden, if even for a little while. Youâre my husband first and a king second. Lean on me as much as you lean on them.â
For a moment, the world outside fades away. There are no councils, no pressing decisions, no wars or power struggles. Itâs just the two of you, bound together by love and trust. His hand rests against the small of your back as he pulls you closer, his voice low and filled with a gratitude that touches your heart.
âYou are my greatest strength,â he says softly, pressing a kiss to your temple. âWith you beside me, I know I can bear whatever comes.â
You lift your head, gazing into his eyes. âAnd you will,â you reply, your voice full of conviction. âBut not alone.â
He smiles then, a real smile that reaches his eyes, and you feel the tension begin to ease from his body as he leans into the comfort of your embrace. You urge him to sit down in front of you. As he does, you begin to brush through his long brown hair, a hum of contentment leaving your husband as he relaxes into your pampering. Allowing this moment of relief, however brief it may be.

ĂolofinwĂ«, AnairĂ« & Grandchildren
Latest portraits
Children of ĂolofinwĂ« - FĂ«anĂĄro, Nerdanel & Telperinquar - Sons of FĂ«anĂĄro
Now for Arafinwe and kids!!
HC:
Fingolfin: Fingolfin did look up to Feanor a lot when he was younger and would try to act like him, wearing white, red, and gold, as well as trying to become a smith one time, but later when it became clear for him Feanor had no real interest he began doing a mix of being the opposite of Feanor as well as just trying things he thought he would like before wondering if either Feanor or Finwe would approve. While I think his relationship with Finwe was great I still think it had its flaws, especially when Finwe decided to go with Feanor to exile after Fingolfin had been threatened BY Feanor, neither do I think he ever felt that close to the Vanya, as after all he was a Noldor prince, and while not the first in line, he wasnŽt the last either. Of his siblings, he was closest to Lalwen and would take her counsel highest. I do think that upon his death he thought he did what was best, after all, all was hopeless, but maybe he could sacrifice himself for more peace for his people, and while doing that, maybe he could see Anairë again? I also think he took much pride in his grandchildren, although only being aware of one, and made a big deal out of being there for all his children, supporting them in whatever they wanted and helping them try different things, as long as they would never fight among themself.
Anairë: Anairë came from a noble family and knew Fingolfin in his youth before they decided to marry. After Finarfin married EÀrwen, who Anairë became close friends with, she would happily take her children to visit their uncle and aunt, building expressly upon Turgon and FinrodŽs friendship. While I think she took pride in being fully Noldo she did not support Feanor, thinking him rash in his speeches, and neither could she follow her people after the first kinslaying both because of the humiliation she felt upon seeing it as well as the grief, and later would move in with Finarfin and EÀrwen, grieving for her lost children and husband.
Idril: As a half Vanya (5/8 Vanya??) she leans a lot into her motherŽs traditions, both by covering up her hair as well as not braiding it, and while the Vanya doesnŽt wear as much jewelry as the Noldor they do wear big pieces when they do, and Idril finds some kind of middle ground. I think she used to wear some gold, like her mother, before the crossing of the ice where she lost both her mother and legs (last part is a HC). While before she chose to only wear silver it was because she idolized Anairë and wanted to be like her, while after it was some kind of denial later becoming a fashion choice (?). - I do HC that the first year after ElenwëŽs death Idril only wore her mother's jewelry to feel close to her, but after having to accept her mother was gone she would try to avoid anything that would remind her too much of her.
Maeglin: I know I talk about it at every chance, but I HC ĂOL AS A MAIA AND I WILL NOT BE TOLD OTHERWISE, so I give Maeglin glowing eyes too for that reason. Turgon, when it gets pointed out to him, because his whole family and most of his Lords have glowing eyes, just shrugs it off and blames Melian for it. I like to think that while there wasnÂŽt a lot of galvorn Maeglin still learned how to forge with it, he and Aredhel have jewelry made with it. He dyes his hair tips light purple as is costume to some of the Avari, to color it, as that he thinks Ăol is a Avari and he therefore is part. Yes, he has dark purple hair after Ăol but thinks thatÂŽs just something some people do have, after all some of the Sinda (Luthien&Daeron) have blue hair and Ăol purple, why canÂŽt he have it too?? Nobody really notices as he dyes it anyway, and Aredhel is 99% sure Ăol is a Maia which is why Maeglin too has purple hair, but why would that matter, he is mamaÂŽs boy after all.
Gil-Galad: I am fully convinced Ereinion is just some guy - I HC Gil as an adopted child of Fingon, later adopted by Orodreth, and lastly Cirdan. Most of his jewelry is taken from Fingon and Orodreth, more or less without permission (light kleptomania), Orodreth would pretty much ignore it, whereas Fingon would find it funny and "accidentally" loose piece Ereinion would have shown in interest in, making a big deal out of looking for it before shrugging with a laugh declaring he didnÂŽt care and whoever found it could keep it in front of Ereinion. Most of this is because of his upbringing, I HC him as a child of Angband, later becoming a bad habit, although he would only take things from people very close to him and give it back if asked. His vitiligo is also from Angband, as I HC those born close to Ainur suffer effects from it either physical or mental, which means that the biggest amount of elvers with born disadvantaged come from Angband, whereas the Ainur wouldnÂŽt even try to lower the effect they have on elvers and humans, thereafter Valinor (but only certain places - where the Ainur "lives" which means that very few elvers actually live there, so it is very very few, although I do HC Edrahil of being affected by the Ainur in Valinor), and lastly Doriath.

Post-114 (Still Not Ferin Well) headcanons đ€
long post, Hcs for gillion, Jay and chibo under the cut â„
Gillion(real)
-since his lay on hands wasn't an immediate reaction, all of his missing skin and the holes in his hands became scar tissue.
-once they got back to the ship and everything was calm again, his hair was soooo ratty and knotted. The crew spent ages combing it out, washing out the blood and grime, and making sure it was tied up next time they did something like that.
-when doppelgilly was voided and became a husk, Gillion felt bad. He knew that he shouldn't, he knew that doppelgilly was some evil copy of himself but doppelgilly looked, acted, and felt like himself. It was like looking in a mirror.
-to chip, Jay, and the rest of the crew, he has literally never looked worse. He looks exhausted, he looks beaten. To gil thoigh, he thinks that hes seen worse. He hasnt. The moment he was healed, they sent him to the tub.
-he nearly fell asleep in the elevator, and then while Jay and Gryffon helped with his hair.
-Gillion WILL have lasting trauma and you are NOT changing my mind. I mean no chance he doesn't right?? A Triton literally said to him, WHILE CHAINED, "YOU ABANDONED US." COME ON BRO THATS NOT EVEN THE WORST OF IT
-when Gil was first taken, his neck literally broke. It's verbally stated that if he hadn't casted death ward, he would literally be dead. And he was yanked upwards, as if he were hanged. That bitch should be DEAD AF DAWG. DEAD
Jay
-Jay is second guessing herself like the sky literally fell and it's her fault. She's questioning her role, her right to be a leader, even her life. She spends that night crying as quiet as she can. It felt good, she hasn't had a good silent sob session in a few months. She needed to let it out.
-When Jay put together that Gillion was actually doppelgillion, the loud noises started happening and she fuckin BOOKED IT over to the leviathan room. She got them into this mess, if she didn't get them out she'd never forgive herself.
-when gillion was sent to the tub and the rest of the crew left to do whatever they pleased, chip held Jay back. He told her that it wasn't all her fault. He said that he doesn't blame her for indulging on information about her sister, because why else are they going to the hole in the sea? For laughs? No, it's for chip to do the same thing. They hug then. And then they go about their day/night.
-Jay's hair is singed. When they finished with Gillions hair, they turn to Jay's and cut it as short as she'll let them. Her hair used to be around waist length, as she'd ignored it for a while, only doing so much as to brush it every morning and night to prevent knotting, and goddamn that shit was greasy. She wasn't the only one though so they didn't put it past her. Her hair after the cut is probably upper back to shoulder length. Queen comes along and helps her style it so she doesn't look stupid like she thinks she does.

Chip
-im gonna be so fr with myself and say I haven't paid the most attention to chibo so if I get anything character-wise wrong, mercy đ
-chips bones are weaker now, some even broken from when he opened the drawer and the ringing rang. Griz said it splintered through his bones, I'm not letting that go
-anyway think like Hector from coco. Some bones are split and broken, some are being held together with medical tape, etc. Basically he's more broken than ever.
-in the fight with the holloweds on the ship. One of them managed to get a lucky shot right on the hole in his chest where his heart should be. Later that night, it burns. He scratches, he rubs, he does anything he can to make the burn go away but nothing works. It seems to have lessened the next day though, so he's not worried.
-theres discolored bruising around his neck where the slimy tongue is.
-on the same note, chip was being dragged much slower, so his neck didn't break, but he was held much tighter.
-when chip told Jay it wasn't her fault, it was all he could do to keep from crying. Because deep down, he thinks it was his. He's the one taking them to the hole, he's the one that brought them into this mess in the first place. He wished he'd never met anyone on this ship, so at least they'd be safe, home, and away from this. He's disappointed in himself. He's angry and sad and he's so upset that he's putting his crew through this nonsense.
-chip thinks the fact that doppelgilly pulled some of the worst cards back to back was hilarious. Then he looks at gillion later on and sees how he's contemplating and he rethinks. He doesn't really change his mind, but he rethinks.

Headcanon on reasonable evidence, actually: Every Heterodyne gets their own specific pack of JĂ€germonster guards.
Yes, the JĂ€germonsters are all sworn to the family in general, but Heterodynes do unreasonable and dangerous things on absolutely no notice, and it's helpful to have a specific set of personal guards who know them as individuals well enough to respond immediately. (Of course, JĂ€gers think this sounds like fun.)
Agatha having Dimo, Maxim, and Oggie on more or less permanent assignment to her isn't unusual; it's normal. They know this, and have encouraged her to fall into a pattern they were expecting, actually, and she didn't take any steering at all. On some instinctive level she was expecting it too. Even if Dimo keeps his promotion to General, he'll be a General on the move, from wherever Agatha happens to be. They'll be with her for the rest of her life.
Consorts get their own squads, too. At some point in the future, Gil and Tarvek both acquire a handful of their own personal JĂ€gers, sottle-like. (They notice it happen anyway.)
Jorgi is absolutely one of Tarvek's squad, because there's no way he wasn't designed to be Tarvek's personal guard JĂ€ger, and it will be hilarious.
I'd also love to see Agatha assign Jenka to him, because Tarvek's recently on record as missing his personal spy network, and he and Jenka would have that up and running in no time flat. They'd have fun. (Jenka doesn't hold "being Andronicus Valois' descendent" against him, because Tarvek's loyalties are firmly with Agatha, and they share a "to hell with that family in particular" attitude.) Also, it would be a neat little parallel with Tarvek giving Violetta to Agatha. Agatha could give him a sneaky lady who can kick his ass (and will if when needed) right back. For maximum humor, FĂŒst should take to Tarvek exactly the same way the wasp eaters did.
(this, but with JAGER BEAR)
I don't know if Gil ends up with Vole as one of his pack, because I don't know where the Foglios are going with him. But I nominate this guy from book one:
And this guy from book 14:
to follow Gil around and be reassuring to him periodically.
Higgs has sort of ended up as immediate supervision of the entire triumvirate. Whichever of them is in reach, or all three of them at once. Insert Higgs looking really deadpan tired here. This face. Forever.
JĂ€gers get EXTREMELY excited when they learn a new baby Heterodyne is on the way, and start campaigning to be on the baby's personal guard squad immediately. Of course, being JĂ€gers, there's a lot of biting involved. I imagine months of JĂ€gers challenging each other, not just to fights, because they did all that already, but to increasingly ridiculous and pointless challenges that they're both making up on the spot and obsessively keeping track of. The only real rule is that if you challenge someone to something, you have to do it too (otherwise how will you know who won?) They challenge each other one on one, or everyone in sight. This leads to things like most of the JĂ€gerhorde running a screaming, pushing, biting, brawling egg-and-spoon race down the longest street in Mechanicsburg. The townsfolk line up to watch and cheer. (They're considered a course hazard, so they get to throw things.) Whoever's currently winning (don't ask me how that points math works) when the baby is born gets assigned to the baby.
Bill and Barry both had their own JĂ€ger squads and never knew it, because their guards weren't allowed anywhere near them. Theodora was pretty much out there with a shotgun if she heard even the hint of a JĂ€germonster accent. Those JĂ€gers still resent it. They feel robbed of their (most recent) chance to be trusted favorites. They might get special-pleading rights in the next tournament-to-guard-the-new-baby, assuming their brothers aren't completely fed up with their whining about it by now.
Klaus Barry had his own guards, but Bill didn't know because the JĂ€gers were barely even allowed in the Castle by that point, so they just didn't tell him. Master of Mechanicsburg or not, the JĂ€gers didn't trust him not to send them away even further (and rightly so).
Nobody volunteered to guard Lucrezia. Bill didn't understand the insult in that, and the townspeople didn't tell him. But every single one of them NOTICED. Ho yez.
There are only so many JĂ€germonsters, so by this point everyone who's still alive has been in a personal guard squad at least once. Collectively, the JĂ€germonsters know all the gossip, going back centuries. They'll never tell. If pressed, they suddenly lose the ability to remember last week, much less 1528. They can't be bribed, not even with alcohol, although they encourage people to try.
Canon: Jenka was in Euphrosnia's personal guard.
Seen elsewhere on Tumblr but I forgot to reblog it: Vole was one of Saturnus' pack, which is why he tried to kill Bill and Barry. Saturnus had tried, after all, and Vole was most loyal to Saturnus in particular. (If this was your theory, let me know! Credit to you.)
TL;DR: JĂ€gers running an egg-and-spoon race through Mechanicsburg. There. Now you have the highlight of this post.
Also: À is alt-132 (using the keypad). NOW YOU KNOW. (hopefully I also now know, because this is like the fifth time I've tried to memorize that)

grief | elrond peredhel
a short little thing about helping Elrond through his grief over Elros. Think I may release one more drabble tonight as I am really trying to clear my drafts out. This is an actual drabble this time!!! It's less then 1K LOL
"I not only live each day in endless grief, but live each day thinking about living each day in grief." - CS Lewis, A Grief Observed
For someone who has believed until this point that you knew Elrond Peredhel well, this may be the only time you can confidently note that you cannot find him in any of his usual hiding places.
That is what causes you to go seeking Galadriel and The High King. To you, it is a normal day. A normal day in Lindon among comrades and friends in which you spend weeks preparing for the next event featuring the court of musicians that Gil-Galad employs for such an occasion. Your free time is spent with Elrond, lingering amid the trees within each other's embrace and whispering poetry among the rays of sunshine and flowers that scatter along Lindon's fields.
You do not find him there today. Not there, not at the waterfall, not in the garden. He is nowhere to be found. The thought of something having happened to him concerns you, and that is what leads you to GIl-Galad's courts where you find him and Galadriel conversing with one another. Their conversation is hardly perceptible enough for you to hear. It does not matter. You stride towards them with haste, intent on finding Elrond before the sun reaches its peak of the afternoon.
Gil-Galad seems to have been waiting for your arrival. He does not look surprised that his violinist has come to meet with him.
"High King," You begin, bowing lowly to him and Galadriel. âForgive me for the intrusion.â
âIt is not an intrusion, dear friend,â Galadrielâs calm voice responds. She is always, to you at least, the perfect picture of composure. You envy that ability. âWhat ails you?â
âI cannot find Elrond.â
You know something is wrong by the way that Gil-Galad and Galadriel look at each other. Your gut has been telling you all morning that Elrondâs sudden disappearance has a purpose, and it seems you are right.
âThis is one day of the year that Elrond does not wish to be found,â Galadriel murmurs, sadness tinging her tone as her eyes fall to the floor. Her fingers skate across where she used to keep Finrodâs dagger at her hip. âWe are never able to locate him.â
âWhy? What is important about today?â You ask. Dread bubbles in your stomach as you fidget with your fingers. The King will not meet your eyes.
Elrond has been forthcoming about most of his upbringing to you thus far. Being the son of EĂ€rendil The Mariner and Elwing, the Silmarils, Maglor and Maedrhos... All of it.
The one thing he has told you little about is Elros.
For the first time in the time you'd known her, sympathy flickers across Galadriel's face as she crosses the gap between you to take your hands into her own. You are dearest to Elrond. Due to that, she feels a deep obligation to look after you when he can't.
"This is the anniversary of Elrond's twin's death," Gil-Galad interjects before Galadriel can reply. Your fearful aspects crumples into something akin to sadness and a familiarity of grief that makes your heart ache. "I often do not call upon Elrond on this day. I never have found where he hides, but he sits in his solitude to ruminate over the loss of his brother on this day every year."
You square your jaw and squeeze Galadriel's hands before stepping away.
"If you will grant me leave, High King," You remark. "I wish to find my beloved before nightfall."
Of all the people Gil-Galad would expect to successfully find Elrond, you may be the only one on that list who could offer him comfort and bring him home before he caught ill in the chill that lingered in the air. Gil-Galad knows the depths of which Elrond loves you. It is a depth that far surpasses the weight of his upbringing, which he has endured.
He nods.
You are bounding up Lindon's staircases and out into its golden forests before you can hear their farewell, keen Elvish eyes peeled for the familiar form of your lover as you seek him out in all of your secret hiding places.
The lake, the waterfall, the garden, the library. All are empty.
"Where is it that you go to grieve, love?"
"Where the song is heard the quietest, where all the world comes to a halt, and where the heart falls somber."
You find him at the edge of Lindon where a single statue stands amid a small graveyard. You've seen it while coming and going from the city, mostly to Eregion to meet with other musicians and artists. No one would pay attention to it if they were not looking.
You have never truly taken the time to recognize it for what it is.
Elros Tar-Minyatur.
You don't say anything as you approach. Elrond is knelt at the feet of the statue, hands wound in the fabric of his cloak as he weeps. Not a sound escape his lips. This must be what grief feels like. Silent suffering over a face, a name, a heart that the rest of the world will never come to know again because you are what remains of their memory.
You hum softly to acknowledge your presence and rest your hand on his shoulder. He leans into it, seeking out the touch of your comfort, while his hands move upward to hide his face and the tears that stain his cheeks.
You do not shush him. You simply kneel in the dirt and take Elrond into your arms, kissing a head of damp curls as he slides into the part of your legs and clutches at you so hard that you're sure his fingerprints will leave bruises. His grief will slip into your bloodstream, and you too will feel the aching hole that comes with the loss of one so dear to him.
You do little but hold Elrond there. Press a kiss to his temple, to his hair, to his forehead.
There, wrapped in the warmth of the embrace of one who loves him still and will continue to do so, Elrond allows you to see the heart of him that bleeds over a twin who chose mortality, who chose men.
You wonder if Elros would choose him, were he allowed to live again.
You stare up at the statue as if Elros will speak to you.
I will live to love him for you. I promise.

Strong Attraction
Gil Galad x Elf F!Reader
Warning: smut 18+
Eregion is so beautiful. A true elven kingdom. You are happy and lucky to live there. Although you really miss your best friend who still lives in Lindon, her parents didn't want her to travel alone with you. They thought it was too dangerous.
So you now live in a nice house near the forge of Eregion, the place where you are working now. It's an ordinary day like always when the bells at the gates of the city rings. Someone important is coming. Curious, you take a break and go outside on the ramparts to see who it is. Your eyes widen as you see it's the High King Gil Galad with his guards. You are surprised, because he usually never leaves Lindon. For the few times you've seen him, he is a good king. Always put his people first. And he is really handsome.
Knowing Celebrimbor will go meet him, you follow suit, being the smith's assistant. You climb down the ramparts and follow him. You are a bit nervous, you won't speak but he is still the King. Once you've reach the entrance, both elves starts to talk together. He is more beautiful closer.
-Y/N come here will you. says Celebrimbor smiling.
You approach blushing under Gil Galad's gaze.
-High King this is my assistant Y/N. She is helping me with a very important project I'm working on that will save us all from the upcoming darkness.
-My King, it's an honour to meet you. you say bowing your head in respect.
-My lady. It seems our smith has a great opinion of you and trust you very much. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. says the High King with a smile.
-Please follow us into the forge my King so we can show you the work we've made so far. says Celebrimbor.
For the next hour, you and the smith show the High King the rings for the elves that you have made and how they work.
Later, Celebrimbor host a diner for the High King. It's simple but appropriate for a king. You often catch Gil Galas looking your way while he is listening to his friend. You blush like a young teenage elf. He is very attractive and makes you think about inappropriate things about him.
Like right now, you imagine him laying you down on the table and dive between your thighs. He would eat you out slowly at first then speed up as he tastes more of you. The High King would look at you in the eye as he would make you come. Then once you are ready, he would fuck you on the table.
Blushing hard and feeling turn on at the idea, you excuse yourself pretending to be sick so you can go back to your room and take care of it. Before you do something stupid in front of the High King. You feel his eyes on your back as you leave.
Once you are back into your room, you lock the door and undress before laying on top of your bed. You slide a hand between your legs, feeling how wet you are only by thinking about dirty things done by Gil Galad. Already rilled up, it doesn't take you long to orgasm. You moan his name loudly, knowing you are alone in this wing of the building.
You feel tired but not entirely satisfied. It's always like this when you do this by yourself. The real thing is surely better. Feeling your juices dripping down your thighs, you get up to take a bath in the natural pond next to your room.
Once you've reached the water, you sigh in pleasure. The water is cold but feels good against your burning skin and it cleans all of the remaining of your release. Lost in thought, you don't hear the person coming. It's when they clear their throat that you open your eyes. And wish you could disappear. The High King is standing outside the water source, looking at you with wide eyes but with desire in them.
This is so embarrassing. Being caught bathing by the man you were fantasing about minutes ago. You go deeper in the water to hide more of your naked body. You are blushing so hard. The movement seems to wake him up because he quickly turns around.
-I'm so sorry Y/N, I didn't know someone was already here. apologize the High King.
-It's okay. I'm also surprised. I thought I was the only one who knew about this spot.
-I used to come here a long time ago when I needed peace from royal duties. It's a good spot. I will leave you and come back later.
As the High King starts to leave, you stop him without thinking.
-You don't have to leave. The pond is big enough for two. you say blushing.
He turns around surprised.
-Really? I don't want to impose myself.
-I'm sure yeah, come on in.
Turns out it was a good idea because twenty minutes later, you are on his lap, making out with him passionately. His hands are everywhere on your body as you grab his hair while kissing him.
Gil Galad is an amazing kisser and is most likely a great lover too. You really want to find out. You start moving your hips against him and feel his cock hardening more than it already was. The High King pulls his mouth away moaning and needing to breathe.
-Careful now. If we continue like this I will make love to you right here.
-And if it's what I want? you reply smirking.
-Then It will be my pleasure to do it, but in your bed. I want to see all of you. says the High King lusftully.
-Okay, my room is just on the other side...
You don't have the time to finish your sentence that he is picking you up bridal style and gets out of the water to go to your room. You laugh and feel more excited at the prospect of what he is going to do to you. It's going to be a great night.

Can you please give me some happy/cute hcs for Sea Three?
They're a universal constant and find each other in every universe.
The three of them will always be together in every universe, regardless of whether it's romantic or platonic.
Uma, Harry, and Gil are a package deal. If you date one of them or are friends with one of them, you have to at least tolerate the other two.
The trio has at least one meal together every week. Even after the barrier is brought down.
They share everything. Including Uma's aunt Uliana ( I think I got this idea from @isleofdarkness but if I'm wrong correct me).
After the Shrimp Incident, Harry and Gil did everything they could think of to get the shrimp bits and smell of shrimp out of her hair. This may not sound cute but I remind you, the three of them were very smol and the two of them were using the crew's collective brain to find a solution.
In a world where they aren't dating, they are each other's wingman/wing woman (aka they will do everything in their power to help the other get a decent date).
They will hype each other up (or talk each other down from doing something reckless) if needed.
Gil and Harry helped Uma decorate her room on the Lost Revenge.
Harry and Uma have nicknamed Gil 'Sunshine' and they call his little sister, Gemma, 'Mini Sunshine'.
They get each other birthday gifts (I think this one is semi-canon).
Gil has a cat named Patchy that he rescued from his dad's hellion of a dog; it lives on the Lost Revenge. Uma and Harry didn't want it at first but he grew on them and the crew.
One time, while Harry was watching the cat it got out and he had to ask the Badun Detective Agency to find it, even though his sworn enemy works for it (Aka Harry Badun who is only considered an enemy because he refuses to use a different nickname). The cat was just chilling in a tree and Gil was never the wiser.
Speaking of pets, Harry has an old ass parrot he got from Evie's sixth birthday party that he named 'Mercuito' because he was the best part of the play Romeo and Juliet.
(They're all theatre kids).
Uma also has pets. Several in fact. Because as soon as the barrier was brought down, Uliana and the boys (and the rest of the crew) managed to get Greta and Cornelius the sea phonies from the sea phony club after their owner hightailed it to who knows where. Uma was so happy she nearly cried.
There's also her/the crew's sharks: Bartholomew, Fang, Bully, Crusher, and Meathead. They are the sharks the shark swim team swim with it.
Harry and Gil helped Uma name the sharks as kids.
They make stink bombs together.
Gil, Uma, and Harry all fixed up the ship together after Harry and Uma won it.
Harry got kicked out of Dragonball so he could attend Serprent Prep with Uma. He took Gil with him but Gaston hasn't noticed Gil hasn't been in any of his gym classes since.
Uma saved Gil from drowning once (in canon) and taught him how to swim along with Harry, and the rest of the crew.
Harry taught Uma and Gil how to draw.
Sometimes, if they're in extreme danger and need to get out quick Gil will pick Uma and Harry up and book it.
Harry invented the scammers and pick pockets club, and joined the croc wrestling club to fill his time when Uma is at work or at one of her clubs (Sea phonies club and shark swim team. She is the captain of the Shark Swim Team.) and when Gil is at his (Rat Trapping and Competitive Lifting).
They shit talk bad exes and ex friends together.
In the case they're not romantically involved and one of them has kids, the other two become the god parents.

What's the deal with Sauron and Elrond connection in Season 2?
We all know of Sauronâs obsession with Galadriel, but what about how Elrond kept showing up on his plot in Season 2?
First, we have this interaction with Prince Durin in 2x03; where Annatar/Sauron joins Celebrimbor conversation with Durin and Disa, and they are discussing Elrond. And Durin sees right through him.
I assure you, Herald Elrond said he could think of little else. than helping his Dwarven friends. He speaks of you so fondly. [âŠ] Elrond said that you were the wisest of all the Dwarves.
Prince Durin being suspicious of Sauron might be a Easter egg for Tolkien nerds, because Mairon was a Maia of AulĂ«, and betrayed his Vala to join Melkor/Morgoth. The Dwarves are Children of AulĂ«, created by AulĂ« himself as companions (I wonât go into the whole tale in here because itâs beside the point). So having one of them being distrusting of Sauron, and seeing right through his deception can be a nod to that.
Anyway, this is not the last time Elrond will show up in connection with Sauron in Season 2. In 2x05, when attempting to manipulate Celebrimbor into making the Nine for Men, Sauron gives a few examples of Men who rose above darkness (and he must have been screaming internally mentioning every one of them):
Yes. You are right. Of course. Men are capable of great frailty. But when the darkness falls, there are always some who rise forth and shine. EĂ€rendil, Tuor, Beren, son of Barahir.
EĂ€rendil is Elrondâs father, and son of Tuor (Elrondâs grandfather who married Elwing, LĂșthien and Berenâs granddaughter). Which means, Sauron is going through all of Elrondâs genealogy in this scene.
And then, Adar, in 2x07, mentions Melian; Elrondâs ancestor. We have both Sauron and Adar bringing up Elrondâs ancestry in Season 2.
In fact, the entire âtent sceneâ with Adar and Elrond in 2x07 is a direct parallel to Adar and Sauronâs scenes, in Mordor, in 2x01:
Both scenes, start with Adar sitting down in a place of power, and getting up to approach Halbrand/Elrond;
Both Elrond/Halbrand-Sauron meet Adar with the same purpose: âlet my people/Galadriel goâ. Or "yours will die". In 2x01 this is explicit, in 2x07 itâs the subtext;
Adar rubs the might of his war forces and Orc legions on Elrond and Sauron's faces, and how they canât possible expect to defeat him;
In both scenes, "Sauron" is mentioned in connection with the Elves and Eregion;
In both scenes, Sauron and Elrond use the Orcs lives as leverage against Adar:
In 2x01, Galadriel is mentioned by Sauron, and in 2x07, sheâs actually there, and sheâs the prisoner (instead of Sauron) and the âmy peopleâ Elrond is actually there to free;
Adar is deceived by Sauron and Elrond in both scenes: swearing fealty (2x01); the pin (2x07).
Death threats coming full circle between 2x01 and 2x07, with Sauron and Elrond:
Adar (2x01): You will tell me everything you think you know of this sorcerer now. Or I will spill the words from your throat.
Adar (2x07): The Ring for Galadriel's life. What is it to be? Elrond (2x07): Ask me on the field, when the neck with a blade against it is yours.
What's the backstory?
Back in 1x08, Sauron/Halbrand also spent weeks with Elrond in Eregion, since he was also there the entire time, overseeing the work alongside Galadriel; since this was the task Gil-galad appointed to him.
Elrond is the one who finds Galadriel in the Glanduin river, after she rejects Sauronâs offer and he flees.
And despite Galadriel keeping Halbrandâs true identity under wraps, and not revealing what truly happened, Elrond is the one who puts two and two together, and realizes Halbrand is not the King of the Southlands, and tricked them.
Season 2
However, only in 2x01, Elrond is made aware that Halbrand was, in fact, Sauron, when Galadriel herself reveals it to him and Gil-galad.
And Elrond is furious, because he absolutely trusted Galadriel, and that trust is now broken. Galadriel did allowed the Three rings of power to be forged, even though she knew that Sauron has been at Eregion all along.
Adding this to fact that Galadriel was so obsessed in finding Sauron in Season 1, and even talked about this with Elrond himself in 1x01, when he advises her to return to Valinor and find healing there:
During Season 2, Elrond is also the one who sees right through the rings of power, and understands they might be a ploy on Sauronâs masterplan. And heâs absolutely right. Because we know, from Tolkien legendarium, the Three are connected to Sauronâs power, and become mere pieces of jewelry when the One Ring gets destroyed on the Third Age, losing all of its magical properties. âRings of Powerâ build upon this, and had Sauron himself at Eregion, handling the mithril (and probably infusing it with his intention to heal Middle-earth from Morgothâs corruption, which is his goal).
In Season 2, Elrond is, clearly, Sauronâs greatest opponent in his rings of power plot concerning the Elves. Until he, too, gets deceived, because we know from Tolkienâs letters, these rings are not âwholly goodâ and the Elves are in the wrong by using them.
Anyway, Elrond not only attempts to have the rings destroyed (wrecking Sauronâs plan), but he also keeps antagonizing Galadriel by her wearing Nenya, perhaps in the hope she might take it off, or see the ring as evil. And Sauron is aware of all of this.
And can this be the reason why Elrond also seems to be on Sauronâs mind? Indeed, but there also might be another reason on top of this.
@love-and-doom shared one of their theories with me, and I think it makes sense, and explains a lot. According to them, Sauron might blame Elrond for his failure in bringing Galadriel to his side in 1x08.
Galadriel herself confessed to Celebrimbor, in 2x07, that she wanted to take Sauronâs offer and that she wanted what he offered her (be Queen of Middle-earth with Sauron as her king). And, maybe, had not Elrond show up, Sauron might have succeeded. What this theory implies is that Sauron show Galadriel the vision of her drowning in the Sundering Seas (the moment when he saved her), but we donât know how this vision was supposed to end from Sauron POV because Elrond shows up and Sauron has to flee.
Sauron clearly has the background check on Elrond (as weâve seen in 2x05), and is aware he is a thorn on his side. This might also be another Easter egg because of Sauron vs. Melian during the First Age; and not only Melian herself but Melianâs daughter (LĂșthien), too, who was responsible for Sauronâs greatest and most spectacular defeat.
Then, we also have other parallels between these two characters:
Sauron and Elrond in connection with white horses:
Sauron's illusion in 2x06:
Elrond mourns his horse, 2x07:
Elrond and Sauron (+ Galadriel) with the same face wound (Elrond in 2x07; and Sauron and Galadriel in 2x08):
I saw several fans making the comparison of these wounds with Arwenâs in âFellowship of the Ringâ, because itâs on the same side and very similar, indeed.
However, Iâm not sure what is this suppose to mean: Elrond is Arwen's father, and Galadriel is her grandmother, yes, but what does Sauron have to do with it?
Then, Elrond is the one who picks up Nenya (the ring Sauron wanted), and uses it to heal Galadriel, in 2x08:
He also returns Nenya to Galadriel, as a nod to their scene in 2x04; when Galadriel gives it to him for safe keeping, and he reluctantly agrees. Now he returns the ring in good will, to symbolize the end of their feud, and how Elrond now trusts the Three:
Iâm curious to see if this dynamic will continue to play out in Season 3, and I wonder what all of this means.

Look I may be completely wrong, I don't cliff jump into bodies of water on the regular so forgive me if I'm wrong, but how is Elrond not injured by the fall?? The pan down from the waterfall to the cliff made the cliff look incredibly high. Not to mention the possibility of rocks at the bottom of the waterfall. My first reaction to it was âYOUâRE GOING TO DIE!â (letâs pretend that we don't know he lives)
How afraid of Galadriel and Gil-galad was he to think that was his best option? Especially if he didn't know if he'd survive.
People do cliff jump for sport but the difference is how they land in the water. I don't know if Elrond is a seasoned cliff jumper because the surface tension could kill you. Yes, he is a half-elf but I don't gravity or the water cares that much.
Can someone smarter than me figure out how tall that cliff was and see if it was survivable? If it wasn't, then he really parallels Elwing, she didn't know that she'd survive. It was Ulmo that saved her. It was a suicide attempt to keep the silmaril away from Maedhors and Maglor.
If I am right about the cliff being high enough to kill him, then maybe Ulmo saves Elrond too. In my brief-as-hell research, Ulmo knew EĂ€rendilâs father so maybe he's fond of the family. Ulmo is said to dwell in deep rivers, so it could be possible that he saved Elrond. What a parallel if I'm right
This is just a headcanon and massive speculation on my end, so I'd love to hear your thoughts. Like this me screaming at the sky type of headcanon, Iâm not expecting to by right đ
Ohhh, I had the same thought when Elrond made that jump! To me, it looked deadly. But what struck me the most was how the other Elves seemed so... unbothered? It might not be the perfect word to use here, but neither Galadriel nor Gil-galad seemed very concerned that Elrond might have been killed by that jump. I canât tell if it's because they have this unwavering hope and goodness in their nature, or if they just knew the jump wasnât as fatal as it appeared, but something about Gil-galad stationing guards at every crossing and Galadriel almost immediately assuming Elrond had gone somewhere else, rather than imagining him at the bottom of the ocean, makes me think the jump might not have been that dangerousâat least not for someone with Elven heritage đ€
(Also, it did make me a little sad we didnât get a moment where Gil-galad or Galadriel expressed concern, like âI hope heâs alright,â or even better, âWeâll deal with the rings after we find Elrond. First, letâs make sure heâs safe.â đ)
But! With that said, I totally see the parallel to Elwing here. Elrond might know this waterfall by heart, but in a situation like this, you just canât help but wonder if things might not go as smoothly as planned. I think you can see that fear on his faceâhis eyes show so much pain:
This is the look of someone painfully hurt, painfully scared, and painfully disappointedâknowing it's either give up the jewels or, possibly, face death. You can almost feel the pain of this realization in his expression, especially in the first two shots đ
The moment we see Elrond from behind, with Gil-estel on his cloak, it feels like we're meant to draw a mental comparison to Elwing and the Silmarils. I can only imagine what that must have felt like for him đ Iâm seriously tempted to write a fic exploring everything going through his mind in that moment. If this was a book, I'd want an entire chapter from Elrond's POV, just to know what he was thinking đ
And! I love the idea of Ulmo saving Elrond!!! I was going to say that when I read your tags on my last answer. Thereâs something so beautiful about Ulmo quietly watching over EĂ€rendil's family centuries later đ„ș It honestly makes so much sense!!!

Threads of Fate Chapters 25 and 26
Find Chapters 23 and 24 HERE
Notes: These are the final two chapters for this ending! The Celebrimbor girlies on Ao3 requested that I write an alternate ending where reader chooses Celebrimbor instead of Gil-galad. I plan to release the alternate ending as one looooong chapter, that way you can choose your own adventure this fic!
Chapter 25: The Morning After
The soft light of morning streamed through the curtains, casting gentle patterns on the walls of your chambers. You stirred, gradually becoming aware of the world around you. The warmth of the blankets enveloped you, providing a comforting cocoon that made it difficult to leave the realm of dreams.
As you opened your eyes fully, your gaze landed on Gil-galad, who was seated at your desk, sipping tea. He looked relaxed yet regal, his long hair falling carelessly over his shoulders. The sight of him brought back a rush of memories from the night before, and your heart raced at the thought.
You and Gil-galad exchanged shy glances, the air charged with unspoken words and lingering emotions. A faint blush crept across your cheeks as you recalled the vows you had exchanged and the passion that had ignited between you.
âGood morning,â he said softly, his voice warm and inviting, breaking the comfortable silence.
âGood morning,â you replied, your voice still thick with sleep. You sat up slowly, the blankets slipping down to your waist, and you couldnât help but notice how his gaze lingered on you.
He smiled, a hint of mischief in his eyes. âI hope you donât mind. I made myself at home.â He gestured to the steaming cup in his hand. âI thought it best to let you rest.â
You chuckled lightly, your nerves easing a bit. âI appreciate it. Itâs nice to wake up to a familiar face.â
With a gentle smile, he stood and approached the bed, placing the cup on the bedside table. âEleanior came looking for you while you were sleeping,â he said. âShe wanted to know if youâd meet her at the forge. She was quite nervous about spending the day with Celebrimbor.â
Your heart skipped a beat at the mention of Celebrimbor, but to your surprise, you felt none of the intense emotions that had once overwhelmed you. Instead, there was a calmness, a clarity that hadnât been there before.
âThe forge?â you echoed, gathering your thoughts. âOh right, yes. Celebrimbor had invited her to see it today.â You groaned loudly at the thought of telling Celebrimbor what had happened.
You and Gil-galad sat in silence for a moment before he spoke again. âI know youâre nervous about speaking to Lord Celebrimbor regarding everything that has transpired since dinner last night. Would you like me to join you?â
You shook your head. âNo, I think itâs best if I see him alone.â
Gil-galad gave your hand a supportive squeeze and smiled. âWith any luck, his connection to you will have begun to diminish. Heâs an honorable man; Iâm sure he will take the news in stride.â
You took a steadying breath as you approached the forge, the sounds of hammering and the warm glow of the fire growing stronger with each step. Anticipation bubbled within you, mingling with the remnants of nerves that lingered from the morning.
As you entered the forge, the heat washed over you, enveloping you in its embrace. Before you could gather your thoughts, Eleanior spotted you from across the room. Her face lit up with excitement as she dashed toward you, her hair flowing behind her like a golden banner.
âYou made it!â she exclaimed, nearly bouncing on her toes. âThe forge is incredible! Iâve learned so much already.â
You couldnât help but smile at her enthusiasm. âIâm glad to hear that! What have you been learning?â
Eleaniorâs eyes sparkled as she began to recount her experiences. âThe way Celebrimbor works is fascinating! He moves with such purpose and skill. I had no idea that crafting could be so⊠captivating.â She glanced over her shoulder at Celebrimbor, a dreamy expression crossing her face. âAnd he looks so attractive when heâs focused like this.â
You let out a childlike giggle at her remark. âYou silly, lovesick elf!â you teased.
âCould you aid me with a remedy? Do you have something in the healer's pantry for love-sickness?â she snickered.
You both stood there giggling for a moment when you suddenly realized that the jealousy you had felt toward Eleaniorâs attraction to Celebrimbor was gone.
âHe showed me how to shape metal today, and I think I might have a knack for it!â Eleanior exclaimed, her hands animatedly mimicking the motions she had learned. âYou have to see what heâs creating. Itâs breathtaking!â
Before you could respond, Celebrimbor turned, catching sight of you both. His expression shifted to one of warmth, and he set down his tools, wiping his hands on a cloth before approaching.
As you engaged in conversation with Eleanior and Celebrimbor, you couldnât help but notice a flicker of something in his gazeâa subtle confusion that danced beneath his calm exterior. When he looked at you, there was an intensity that seemed muted, as if the storm of emotions he had once felt had settled into a gentle breeze.
You caught him glancing at you from the corner of his eye, his brow furrowing slightly, as if he were trying to reconcile the absence of the overwhelming pull that had once drawn him to you. In those fleeting moments, you sensed a hidden struggle within him, a questioning of why the connection felt different now.
When the conversation lulled, you cleared your throat and spoke. âCelebrimbor,â you began, your voice steady but soft, âcould I speak with you for a few moments⊠privately?â
Eleanior looked between the two of you, sensing the shift in the atmosphere. âIâll head back to the forge to continue my project,â she said, a bright smile on her face. âDonât take too long! Thereâs more I want to show you!â
His expression shifted slightly, concern evident in his eyes. He gestured toward a quieter corner of the forge, where the sounds of hammering faded into the background.
You took a deep breath, feeling the weight of your words pressing against your chest. âCelebrimbor, I wanted to talk about last night,â you began, your voice slightly trembling.
He nodded, his expression attentive, encouraging you to continue. âAfter our dinner, Gil-galad and I talked.â You paused, trying to choose your words carefully. âI told him everything that has happened between you and me these last few months.â
âEverything?â Celebrimbor questioned.
âYes, everything. Donât worry, heâs not angry. But IâŠâ Your voice trailed off.
âYou what?â he asked, stepping closer to you.
âI couldnât stand the confusion and extreme emotions anymore. I needed quiet. I needed to be in control of my feelings again. Miroden discovered that soulmates donât have to choose each other for the yearning to subside.â You smiled weakly at him.
âI donât understand what youâre saying,â he whispered.
You reached out and took both of his hands in yours. âDo you feel that?â
Celebrimbor's eyes widened at the realization. âI donât⊠I donât feel anything,â he stammered, swallowing hard.
âExactly. We are both free. Free from the yearning. Free to make our own choices. Celebrimbor, I canât even begin to express how grateful I am to you. Youâve made my time in Eregion so special.â
âBut how? Where did our connection go?â he asked, bewildered.
âMiroden's research revealed that if one or both of the pair marries another, the connection will break. The pain, the yearningâall of it will diminish. A mercy given to us by Eru. Last night, Gil-galad and I became husband and wife.â You braced yourself for Celebrimbor's reaction, unsure of how he would respond.
To your surprise, he began to chuckle.
âWhy is that funny?â you asked incredulously.
He let out a huge sigh of relief and smiled. âOur connection, while it persisted, was nothing short of bliss. My attraction to you was like sun on black cloth. I was aflame with desire in your presence, consumed by it. It was wonderful, and I would have been very happy to have you all to myself forever⊠but the thought of taking you from the High King filled me with dread.â He admitted. âI knew our union would create a rift between Lindon and Eregion.â
You smirked. âI hadnât thought that far ahead.â
Celebrimbor smiled. âWell, all I could do was think about itâabout you, about us. But I am happy for you, truly.â
âThank you for everything,â you said as you released Celebrimbor's hands and took a step back.
Eleanior approached, her expression animated. âExcuse me, sorry to interrupt!â she said, her voice bright but apologetic. âCould you help me with something, Lord Celebrimbor? Which tool would you suggest I use to sharpen this edge?â She held out a small metal spear she had been crafting.
âItâs quite alright, Eleanior, youâre not interrupting. We've finished.â You looked down at her spear and smiled. âWow, have you crafted this yourself?â You were astonished by her talent.
Eleanior blushed at your praise. âLord Celebrimbor helped,â she said shyly.
âNot that much! You have a real knack for metalwork,â Celebrimbor assured her.
You glanced between Celebrimbor and Eleanior, sensing a budding admiration between them.
âWell, I must go and find Gil-galad. We need to plan for our journey back to Lindon.â
âLeaving so soon?â Celebrimbor asked. âSurely you can stay a bit longer, given the circumstances.â
âThank you for your hospitality, Celebrimbor, but we have a wedding to plan.â You tried to convey to him not to reveal too much in front of Eleanior. âWe are not yet wed.â You punctuated each word with a sharp tone.
âAh! Right!⊠The wedding⊠your wedding⊠the royal wedding⊠of course! You're not married yet.â Celebrimbor spoke clumsily, trying to mask the mistake he'd made.
âAre you okay? Perhaps you are in need of a break; you've been working hard since the early hours,â Eleanior asked with concern.
Celebrimbor gave a nervous laugh. âYes⊠perhaps you're right, Eleanior. I could use a break.â
âI could accompany you to the tavern for lunch if you'd like?â Eleanior said, trembling slightly.
Celebrimbor gave her a warm smile. âIâd like that very much. Let me grab my cloak, and we can walk down there together.â
As soon as Celebrimbor turned his back, Eleanior let out a silent scream of joy and grabbed your arms. âIs this really happening?!â She was shaking with excitement.
You pulled Eleanior into a tight hug and whispered into her ear, âIf he sees even a fraction of what I see in you, heâll be head over heels by nightfall.â
âThank you!â she replied softly, pulling back to meet your gaze. âNow go and find Gil-galad! The poor man has been sulking ever since you left Lindon.â
You both stood there giggling again, and the joy that washed over you was almost overwhelming. Your eyes began to well up.
âOh, are you crying? Whatâs the matter?â Eleanior asked, concern etched on her face.
You smiled brightly. âNothing is wrong. These are tears of immense, overwhelming joy.â You pulled Eleanior into another hug and whispered, âIâll see you later. I canât wait to hear about your lunch with Celebrimbor.â

wanted to add to ur point about sauron's intentions for stabbing galadriel.
sauron wants galadriel to give in willingly and it was made clear pretty explicitly, imo.
he didn't stab her to kill her, and i don't think that he stabbed her to fully mind-control her. he stabbed her to bind her to him after she told him that their bond was broken, to open the door between their minds. and him being able to talk to her right after has to illustrate their strengthened bond and the door being wide open and nailed to stay open.
*maybe* when he told her to give him nenya while looking into her eyes after stabbing, he wanted to show her his sincere motivations to heal the middle-earth, and he succeeded to do so! gal wasn't as much "deceiving" him, as she was stating what she saw. she believed that he wanted to heal the middle-earth. but! she didn't believe that he would heal it. his methods were still unacceptable for her.
tbh, i never saw that scene as gal deceiving and sau being deceived bfr i came across this reading into it. i always felt like it was gal just saying that she sees what he wishes to do and him being happy that she finally sees it. he just thought that it meant she would join him and that didn't turn out to be the case.
and i don't think galadriel can use nenya to an extent where she is a match to sauron yet. it would be waaay to premature and rushed. and such emphasis on the morgoth crown stabbing, communicating via minds, and the shadow realm pulling her under (finrod's "the darkness tries to pull the ship under" comes to mind), would not make narrative sense if galadriel is suddenly immune to sauron's powers or darkness in s3, idk.
I agree with you, for most of it ! In this post I wrote recently, I expressed similar ideas to yours.
Not only I don't believe that Sauron wanted to kill Galadriel here (what do the writers have to do to convince these people that when Sauron wants to kill someone, he kills them ? Sometimes with a hand wave even ?? JFC), but I also don't think he wanted to mind control her, I don't think he's not interested in her light anymore, and I don't think his plan was to let her soul be absorbed into the Shadow realm.
I don't believe any of that because none of what he did afterwards makes sense, if it was his intention; all he had to do was to snatch Nenya while she was on the ground, even after she fell off the cliff, and patiently wait. Gil-Galad and Elrond would have been unable to help Galadriel without Nenya, soooo... What stopped him, if not that Sauron still craves Galadriel's light, and is not interested in enslaving her ?
I think Charlotte Brandström, or the showrunners confirmed that he wanted Galadriel to give him Nenya to him, because he wanted her to believe that he wanted to heal Middle-Earth. That's exactly why he smiled so happily when she said "you want to heal Middle-Earth"... He genuinely thought "at last, thanks to the bond I've just created between us, she understands now."
I think she deceived him when she seemed about to give him Nenya, but abruptly backed off and jumped herself off the cliff, though. Her behavior was very off, she acted as a robot, as if he was mind-controlling her. But she was able to refuse him and to escape, which can mean two things :
he was indeed mind-controlling her and she was able to snap out of it (maybe thanks to Nenya)
he wasn't mind-controlling her at all, but she was acting as if she had some kind of revelation that would make her join him, to distract him.
It's also worth noticing that he was probably able to read her mind as much as she could read his at this point, and she sensed it, so she had to be extra careful regarding her thoughts.
I agree that if all it takes is Nenya to protect her from the bond created by Sauron, then there's no point in this entire scene at all. If it turns out that the writers only wanted her and Frodo to have matching wounds so they could compare them later in Valinor, it will be really a waste of a good story.

Parts I have noticed in the recent Avaâs demon updates part 1:
(Spoilers for anyone who hasnât seen the latest update since Iâm mentioning the previous updates and the latest updates)
I kinda like this entire panel that shows where each host is sitting at and the way that theyâre sitting because you can usually tell how a person is by the way they act at another personâs house:
In this panel, for example, Ava and Gil are the only two that are sitting up straight with their legs together that is usually indicated to be very polite and proper. While Maggie and Odin are more relaxed and not exactly being improper, but they seem to be lounging more than just sitting specially Odin because I do not know what is going on with his legs, is he like that tall compared to the other hosts?ïżŒ
I love how weâre also learning a bit more about Eriosâ backstory from these new humanoids! I also love how equally accepting that they are that just because that they are hunted by Titan, they seem to be the type that would be of importance to the story because of how accepting they were to help them hide. ïżŒ
Odin Arrow itâs OK. Youâre not a weirdo to me!!! đđđđđ but I just love seeing his expressions in the comic and how heâs the type to usually stay quiet and listen instead of giving attention to himself. Heâs so smartđđ
This definitely proves that Eriosâ âdemonâ causes them a lot of trouble, not just by themselves, but with others around. They are practically similar alongside with Ava because both of their demons have caused major impact in their life by ruing their image and their relationships with others. This could be because of how someone either said the author or a theory that Eriosâ and Avaâs demon are close friends so I probably explains their similar but yet different behaviors.
1) itâs 2 AM where I am so gonna try to make this quick: I love that no matter what, Emris feels no guilt or pity for Erios because of all the suffering that they are going through while they are being raised in a more safer and financially stable housing compared to the rest down below.
2) they are probably my most favorite character in this comic due to their personal feelings and opinions towards Titan and Nimis. ïżŒ
Weird theory, but since they are mentioning about how one can only become a Prismate unless they pass a test to see if they are compatible to probably birth the next heir, since it has been theorized that Maggie could possibly become a love interest to Erios, would that mean that Maggie might go through a similar situation where she either was caught or detained and is forced to do the test either because 1) Erios might end up liking Maggie when they see her or 2) Only doing so, so she doesn't get put into jail?
Honestly, I think that sounds a bit more accurate but we will see I guess.
btw I was wondering why Maggieâs expression looked familiar until I forgot:ïżŒ
I am sorely convinced that because that Maggie and Ava were raised in the exact same area and weâre considered childhood friends, that they have similar personalities or similar behaviors that we just donât recognize yet unless Iâm the slow one and somebody already figured it out.

i hope and pray everyday that edyn is going to be a narrative foil to gil in every way. i want her to be a reflection of him if his loyalty to the undersea and belief in their beliefs was taken to an extreme.
everyone gets a cool what if look into another life parallel. jay with kira. chip and price. cmon please.
i need an edyn who is so fake, she smiles and it never reaches her eyes. i need her to be so absolutely selfish and talk abt how much she is only doing this for gillion. never herself. despite all her actions being things he would never agree with. i need her to act like shes just trying to help you. promise so much for it to amount to nothing. and than act so sweet so sorry she rlly did want to be there. i want her to lie. i need those lies to pile up to create a sink hole for her she cant crawl out.
she takes gillions duty and responsibility shit so far and into a direction he would never. the biggest means to an end mentality. she doesnt even like animals. she has the same passive sucidal tendencies as him. willing to give her life for her goals.
please i need her to be rotten. she should have a fucked up good and evil idealogy. where she thinks only evil could exist. that the hand of man is only capable of harming.
like what if, this is now more personal interpretation but this whole thing is, she compares herself to gillion. her amazing little brother a gift of god given to her to protect thats she lost. i mean thats canon she has to hate herself so much for everything that has happen to gil. but also she knows hes good. hes a hero. he was birthed for greatness, a divine holy purpose. how the hell do u handle that. how do u not see yourself as inherently lesser. mortal. limited. sorry my love for religious imagery so showing.
but yeah. i need her to be terrible. hate herself as she can never be anything as great as her little brother. give her, "maybe that's just inherited to every living thing. that were all inherently bad needing a god to guide us to good" type thing.
