RANT ABT CHAPTER 54-55 FROM NEVERMORE
I will never forget for Will was treated in this episode
Tumblr media
When Berniece was attacking Will, she possibly held herself back and was only trying to sedate will without poofing him. Only making him act a bit loopy. (Or as she said “Sozzled”).
Tumblr media
They specifically waited until Montressor was conscious to continue their assault instead of trying to poof will in the mean time. They only have their eyes on Monty to harm and instead are trying to remove Will to avoid him getting hurt or killed.
Tumblr media
When Monty starts to insult Both of the girls Will starts to tell him to stop. Which was a signal to Eulalie and Berniece that Will is not like Montressor at all and does not want to get on their bad side. After Eulalie sees this, it then prompts her to feel bad for Will when he tried to help Montressor, just to be pushed away
Tumblr media
Eulalie told will that for his own personal good he should go away and not witness Montressor get Poofed, because she knows how much he cares about Montressor.  You can see her eyes soften when talking to Will and then immediately harden when it comes to Monty.
Tumblr media
Once Eulalie and Berniece find out that Will took Montressor’s place they immediately feel shocked and upset. Eulalie even stays with Will for a bit to possibly comfort him. Berniece looks slightly solemn when she figures it all out and pounces onto Monty while calling him a coward and a Low-Life.
Tumblr media
Also in this screenshot you can see Will blaming himself in the background while Eulalie sits in front of him like a mother comforting their crying child.
This is an inference from me: I think that when you see Eulalie’s hand slightly reaching out towards him, that’s her try to stop him from hitting himself or trying to get the spikes from out of his back.
Or maybe I’m just crazy
(*´ー`*)
Anyways, I’d love to see what they do with him in season 2. As much as I love this toxic relationship because of how well it’s written. I’m excited to see how and if William Willson (my he for his full name) breaks out of this cycle with toxic cowboy boyfriend

look i totally get it’s all love now but genuinely every kipperlilly sympathizer that only talks about how it’s so valid she hates the bad kids and how she’s a side character getting fucked by the main characters simply just feels like they themselves have hella side character syndrome and are relating to kipperlilly a bit too hard and might need to consider that they’re only a side character if they convince themselves they are
(my tags explain it a bit better but i was too lazy to copy them up here)

Thinking about Geralt riding “like the wind that blows the trees” in Ride of the Witcher in the context of “the wind don’t cower to powerful men” from Whoreson Prison Blues…

I just realized I don’t think I’ve ever made a post about Alastor so here we are!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay I want to get this out before it has time to be confirmed so I can shove it in peoples faces if it’s true (it won’t be trust me just a little thought I had when watched Dad Beat Dad)
What if, and hear me out here, Alastor wasn’t the Radio Demon? Like yeah he has the radio effect and he has the microphone and radio itself. BUT what if this was all an act? He needed people to believe he was powerful, so he took a popular legend and made people believe it was him? His entire thing is manipulation and faking things right? So this wouldn’t be out of character. Mimzy said herself that he “revealed himself” as the Radio Demon. But why would a mysterious mass murderer(?) show himself like that? Unless to gain more power. Why would someone make a deal with some creepy radio guy? Because what if he tortured and ripped apart your soul if you didn’t? It would definitely convince people to make deals wouldnt it? I don’t know maybe I’m connecting dots that shouldn’t connect but it’s been on my mind for forever. Mimzy also said (Thanks Mimzy) that he hasn’t done any of that in a while. Probably for the 7 years he was gone. But maybe, he revealed himself as the radio demon just 7 years ago? Right before he disappeared? He disappeared so people wouldn’t think it was out of the ordinary for the broadcasts to stop. After all, if you tore apart overlord souls, and then someone claimed they were the ones to do it, why would you continue? Continue to help them lie? He definitely hasn’t done any of that after he came back. He ran away to find out how to manipulate even more, what the radio demon would do. And of course to make that deal with Lilith (presumably). Maybe his deal was for Lilith to help him make himself appear that way? I dont know about his deal and how it would fit into this to be completely honest. Maybe Lilith saw this opportunity to lift herself up higher and (maybe) into heaven?
Anyways sorry for yapping. Just a thought.

had a fnaf lore thought today about Henry and William and Will’s motives for killing Charlie and Sammy being a bit more in depth than they are in what we’ve been provided in canon
we all know part of William’s motive was because he was jealous of Henry still getting to have a family after losing his own, but also consider Henry’s part in this
when William lost CC and Elizabeth, he was torn to shreds obviously, but Henry must’ve gone into shock too, leading me to believe that he would be running on autopilot trying to take care of everything in order to let Will grieve over the death of his two youngest
from Henry’s perspective this is a pretty normal way of different people dealing with grief and loss and shock and whatnot, but to William? he’s angry. he’s so angry because he lost the kids he loved so, so much. he’s angry because he feels at fault for it. but he also feels angry because Henry has spent less time comforting him and trying to sympathize and more time trying to deal with lawsuits
this is the deepest and most destructive pain Will’s ever felt in his entire life, grotesque and heart wrenching, and all he can see is Henry being more worried about legal issues than caring for his best friend. Henry’s trying his best to balance everything and not break, and he knows Will is too incapacitated to handle business, so he’s doing what he thinks would be helpful. But William’s mind isn’t wired that way. Rather he takes it as betrayal, and thus begins war.
Henry’s kids are dead. “Who would do something like this?” and Henry doesn’t know he knows. Eventually he confronts him, he’s devastated, but not quite in the way William was. he didn’t want to exact revenge. He was just in shock. And once he’s broken Henry down to his core, ripping into him about how he “didn’t know how to care and didn’t want to bother”.
Henry is destroyed, and all William can think about is “finally, some real sympathy from a real friend”.
tl;dr I don’t know I just think Henry and William’s arc should be more intricate and emotionally driven than what it’s shown to be in canon past the basic “oh no you were my best friend but I’ve been struck by tragedy and now I’m jealous that you have something I don’t so I have to destroy the thing you love because if I can’t be happy then neither can you” trope because despite their limited appearance in the actual shown canon events their backstory is vital to the plot of the series and I would love to see that elaborated on in depth

So I was playing Simon’s Quest (again) earlier and you guys might know by now that I’m incredibly normal (extremely deranged) about that game, but it’s got me thinking about something: what exactly are the hearts and why are they the money in this game?
Hearts in the first game and almost every game after Simon’s Quest are the thing that you need to collect to be able to use subweapons and they primarily come from candles, but enemies can drop them too. But in Simon’s Quest, while they do still power a couple subweapons, it’s only the ones we’ve never seen before like the Sacred Flame and Golden Knife while not being used for the Holy Water, something that does in every other game. And they only come from enemies because there’s no candles. And there’s different sizes of them. And collecting enough of them levels Simon up. And their primary function is completely shifted to currency!!! Odd, isn’t it?
And the whole way that you buy anything in this game is really framed like some black market sketchy deal. These sellers (or crooked traders with bum deals lol) are primarily holed away in their houses under one or two layers of walls and floors only breakable by magical infinite Holy Water, something only the local badass vampire hunter guy would have after having bought some with said hearts in the first town, or they’re way tucked away in the thick of these Dracula’s army overtaken mansions, some of them even standing directly where skeletons walk past them or in between relatively large pits of spikes. Whatever the reason, these guys obviously want this fairly secret. (Aside from the first town white crystal guy, he’s fine being out in the open lol.)
So what gives??? What is Simon grinding monsters for and trading with the locals for weapons and herbs???
Now this is where things get really ✨speculative✨. I’m gonna put the cut here for suspense and intrigue I guess lol XD. This is gonna be a lot of me thinking out loud and throwing down ideas, not really like a confirmed answer to anything, just havin fun thinkin about a part of a game d(•w• )
I think there’s a few possibilities. They could be the same thing that they are other games or they could be something different just used similarly as a power source.
But first we gotta break down what hearts could be in Cv1. In a lot of the games they seem to be some kind of a general mana, a magic energy possibly not unlike how metaphysical/magical things are depicted in other media. Perhaps the subweapons themselves are magic objects and not really a physical thing that require “hearts” to be conjured. Maybe they could be physical objects that need to be enchanted with “hearts” to be anywhere comparable to Vampire Killer level usefulness. Just a few possibilities.
If the hearts in Simon’s Quest are the same thing, then this kinda makes some sense. Simon trading monster soul energy or whatever with presumably magic users for things he needs on his Quest, especially since things like Laurels (also can be called bay laurels or bay leaves) are commonly used in spells and who better to be selling a spell component than someone who does spells! Also, it makes sense that these people would be fairly out of sight as magic use was still a touchy subject at the time.
Now I don’t know how accurate this is, and if I do find a source somewhere in my way too many bookmarks I will reblog this and link it to it, but I remember reading somewhere in an interview about either SotN or one of the games made close before it that the candles are like the souls of Dracula and his army’s victims that you free when you hit them and they leave you a little parting gift for it. Yes, these games were made way after, so it’s not certain if that was the original intent of these, but I figured it adds something to this.
But what if the hearts in Simon’s Quest are not the same thing? After all, the Holy Water doesn’t use them and we can’t say if they would or not work for other subweapons that appear in CV1 since they aren’t in this one. Well there’s something else that could be dropping from killing monsters that could also fit into the above probability that these traders are magic users and it’s a little darker!
Hearts! Bones! General viscera! And this also kinda makes sense! I mean the whole plot of the game revolves around Simon already carrying pieces of Dracula’s corpse around to burn all together on an altar to cure his and the surrounding area’s curse, it’s not that far of a stretch to say that he’d be fine with carrying around pieces of other monsters and that magic users might be willing to trade things for them so they can use them in their own spells, potions, and so on. And that might also explain why Holy Water isn’t powered by hearts and is incredibly weak in comparison in this game. And why these weird, new subweapons seem to be Simon exclusive! They could be powered by things like monster blood instead of the usual magic energy-ish stuff we’re used to hearts symbolizing.
Regardless of if I’m right or not with either of these, Simon is probably taking advantage of some underground monster essence/organs trade the whole game and this is just such an interesting batshit detail for him as a character.
Anyway, I love this game so much, I’m gonna be spreading propaganda for it like this a lot hopefully lol. Okie that’s it hope that was fun, do with this information what you will :)

Having just read your passionate post about how you feel about Stephen, and that he has a huge, loving heart (I couldn't agree more! and I believe that BC gets that about Stephen), I'd like to ask: what sort of shipping fics would be to your taste? Some of us out here might have some good recs for you.🦋
Omg hi!! Yes I, too, think Benedict is so crucial to Stephen’s depth and growth as a character in the MCU. And his beautiful heart, of course <3. I love how much he cares about his character and how hard he fought for him while filming MoM. I personally can’t imagine anyone else being Stephen; he’s just so lovely. (And I definitely can’t imagine any other actor fighting as hard for Stephen as Ben!)
Ah, but as for your question! Hhhh. Where to begin… I love all Stephen ships, I love the dynamic he has with any character and I so badly wish to see them explored more, I love any sexuality headcanon about Stephen so I don’t mind if he’s shipped with women, or men, etc….. It’s really just difficult to find fics that center on Stephen and not Stephen and someone else or…. just that someone else. Maybe I’m being greedy because I only have eyes for him, but really, any fanfic recommendations in which Stephen is loved and appreciated by any Marvel character and is the center focus of the fic is great and fun and I would love to see it <3.
Oh, but I ain’t new to this fandom, despite my rather recent account. I’ve scoured them tags on ao3 for a long while now, filtered them through hell and back, so believe me when I say that….
If you can find something Stephen-centric and shippy that I have not read, it would certainly impress me.
If you want to, of course. (Or anyone else.) No pressure. I’m just happy someone asked me things!! Speaking of which, anonymous (who I’m pretty sure I know), I want you to know I’ve spent all the hours since you sent this ask deliberating how best to answer you. Because I’m anxious and deranged and accustomed to happily lurking in fandom spaces instead of venturing out and conversing with other fans of my interests. Well. Anyway. Anonymous, I think I love you, thank you for the ask, and good bye!!

And before anyone says anything, this is not me saying that what’s happening with Nia shouldn’t be acknowledged or that she doesn’t deserve concern, help, and care. She absolutely does. Girl had her own immensely traumatic experience after all.
I’m just saying that PB often acts like they can’t handle multiple issues at once, so something/someone always ends up getting brushed to the side. And I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens here.
Also while we’re on the topic, I find it a bit weird that Nia has been showing a lack of concern for MC along with everyone else in our group — because she is the one out of everyone who should understand and be able to empathize the most

Cryophobia | Drabble
Cheren does not like the cold. It’s uncomfortable, it’s annoying, it causes every bone in your body to shake, it numbs you until it hurts, and makes no discretion between who deserves to live and die.
If there’s one thing he’s known from stories: you cannot show weakness to the cold, or else it will exploit you until your last chilled breath. Whether it take away your food, your movement, your power, it will find the one weakness in your defense and make you regret defying it. And every time Cheren wakes up to snow outside his house, shoveling it, watching Black and Bianca play among it, feeling it nip at his nose, he can only recall the stories that haunt his brain. Stories of people slowly falling victim to the unfeeling, wrathful claws of the cold no matter how hard they fight.
So when he and Black approach the cold storage, he can only shiver (in the warmth of summer), at the thought of even setting foot in there. He wouldn’t be stranded, the exit was there, but what if he got locked in alone, no one to help, and forced to fend for his measily life against Kyurem, who breathes down his neck at least three months a year already.
He hates that he can liken his pokemon journey to it too. Around half of it, at the very least, with no memory of it, just a singular feeling. Uncomfortable, desolate, numb, cold. With ice burning at his mind, his blood hunting for warmth and evading his brain. Like a tree in a blizzard with no leaves nor pine on its branches. Not a singular memory outside of this emotion. In fact, one of the few things he last recalls is the literal, death calling, chill.
He felt nothing but an empty snow storm in his body for so long, knowing nothing else but it. Only for it to clear, and for him to see the forest he was a part of was missing one less tree. A tree who seemed to have leaves no matter how much the storm raged.
Apparently people thought he was cold too. Unfeeling to those around him, acting horrible to his partners who were meant to support him. He surely wishes he could remember it, but for now he can only sit at his bed side and weakly ask Snivy once again for forgiveness. Only to get a reassuring pat and cry of affirmation. He wonders what he did to deserve such wonderful partners.
Ice types are strong against grass types, after all.
Maybe he had a weakness, he got exploited, just as the literal thing he hates exploits all. One that took his power, his agency. A cold so freezing it was what spread the type he knows the longest. One that frostbit his fingers, his legs, his mind, until he couldn’t move at all.
The cold that, while doesn’t take everyone, was the one that took him.
He doesn’t know what he fears more now. The one that looks over everything, the one he knows best of all, or the one killed only him.
It bothers Cheren.
