that one post the other day asked about Lavellan's family members and reminded me that I had concepts of rewriting the 'Protect Clan Lavellan' war table missions as an actual playable quest, especially one in my world where my companion OC Enasel'an Lavellan is involved

Anyway i've since written 6 pages of notes on how the quest would work and how Enasel'an specifically as a companion ties into it

I told @latte-cosmico that I've decided from now on to start collecting screenshots when people take digs at my writing. Names blurred, but... I tend to block, bottle up, and not talk about all the shit that happens. Latt suggested, "maybe also screenshot the good stuff? That doc with negative comments might get at you at days" Which is sound advice. ...That's actually something I've done. I hope I don't put anyone on the spot (I rarely blurred out names or anything, since they're kind comments, although some of these are anon anyway), I'm going to post some screenshots I have already taken of comments on AO3 or asks from the past that have really touched me. I think I have a few things on my phone, but you'll have to settle for what's tucked away on this computer.

And this last one is @yume-x-hanabi translating a comment left in French for me, since I only understood parts of it. I wanted a proper translation from a living person (I even offered to pay her to translate it for me but she declined lol)

These aren't the only comments I took screenshots of, but I'll admit I haven't done much of that lately. I should probably get back into it... Thank you. If you see yourself here, you don't know how much you've worked to lift me up against the tide of negativity. It means a lot to me. I don't know if I'll survive enough to keep writing, honestly, but... I do wish that for myself. I do wish I could have more time to work on my stories and share some for free, publish some others, and survive financially. As it is, I've got to fight disabilities and chronic pain to work weekends, then spend a day or two a week just recovering physically from that. ;A; That's why I wanted to publish, why I keep pushing my Patreon. I happily share things for free, but I need money to live to the next day. It's tough and scary, and I think being in constant pain makes that even worse.

whos more of a cuddler when sleeping?

surprisingly, joe :)

don’t get me wrong she’s such a cuddler with him, but joe just takes the crown when it comes down to cuddling when they’re sleeping. even when they’re passed the fuck out in the dead of night, if she somehow starts drifting away from him, he will pull her back to him in his sleep. he can’t stand being away from her for even a second, even when they’re all sleepy and frolicking in flower fields in their land of dreams. like it’s so interesting how he can just feel her moving away from him even if he’s not awake, be able to sense the warmth pressing against him slowly fading. kind of cute when you think about it. he can just feel her.

he also likes to rest his head on her chest, have his hair played with and loves when she presses soft kisses to his forehead. it always helps him fall asleep faster.

oh and how could i forget, when it’s a really rough night and he’s having troubling sleeping (like in season when he needs to be asleep by a certain time) she starts humming a song to him. a song of his choosing, any tune that he wants to hear. and honestly, he didn’t care what song it was because all he cared was to hear the sound of her voice, the feeling of the melody vibrating though her chest. that was enough to lull him to sleep. like a sweet lullaby just for him.

who's clingier?

they both are the clingiest people you’ve ever met, like actually. also, in my opinion, either you’re both clingy or neither of you is clingy. if one person is clingy and the other person is not then the vibe gets weird but that’s not the case for these two :) both are sooo obsessed with each other it makes me sick. like back in season, whenever he’d leave for away games and she was with him in cincy, she would literally latch onto him and not let him leave the house. and he was perfectly okay with that because he didn’t want to be away from her (even if it was for like what, less than 24 hours?).

and then when he’d come back home after the away game, she wouldn’t even let him make it past the foyer before tackling him to the ground. she’d move with an extra bounce in her step if he won the game too ;)

who wakes up first and how they wake the other one up?

usually joe! body clock wakes him up bright and early. during the off season, it takes him a second to adjust and stop waking up so early, but regardless he doesn’t stay in bed for tooooo long. if he had to get up at 6 am during the season, he’d wake up at 9/9:30 in the off season. but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t still stay in bed with her and have a lazy morning. when he wakes up before her, he doesn’t immediately move to wake her up. he wants her to get her sleep, especially because it’s more than likely she was awake pretty late doing something on her phone or ipad after he went to sleep (okay ms night owl). but after a little bit, he likes to wake her up by soft little kisses. usually starting at her arm and then to her neck, up her jaw, and then by the time he reaches her face her eyes are already fluttering open.

Hey I was re-reading ECM and I noticed how awesome your the writing style was and wanted to know if you'd be willing to share how you write like that?

(I want to preface any notes here by saying I started seriously writing when I was 12 and I am now... not that. So I have almost 20 years of writing under my belt)

I've actually done a post about writing that gives a few pointers so I won't re-hash those points, but will add a few extras about crafting 💖💖

I know I said I wouldn't re-hash things, but this point always bears merit in saying: the first thing you write is the worst thing you write. It's called a first draft for a reason and you shouldn't be precious about it. That means don't go stressing about getting your phrasing perfect. Rewriting your draft can do wonders (and that doesn't mean you have to completely change things on the rewrite!), especially if you're not a confident writer.

Vary the start of your sentences. It's a very easy habit to fall into (I still do it all the dang time); you write sentence after sentence starting the the subject ('It was...'; 'Peter did...'; 'She saw...' etc). It makes your writing feel repetitive. We fall into patterns in our writing and forcing yourself to think about how you can change up the way your sentences begin within a paragraph is an invaluable challenge. Consider your paragraphs too: when I'm on my first edit, I pay close attention to how they start to ensure they don't all begin the same way. That doesn't mean every sentence has to start differently, but keeping things mixed up adds variety.

Avoid info-dumping. Exposition (where you give relevant background information) is a useful feature but it slows the pace of your story significantly. What I see a lot of fanfic writers do is freeze time (quite often at the very start of the story) to give us 500+ words of information that could have been drip fed over the chapter (or several chapters). I'm absolutely not saying I'm innocent of this - I do it all the time, including the opening to ECM! - but something that I find can help is to a) make it interesting by setting up a mystery that the exposition doesn't answer, b) intersperse exposition with description to keep up the pace or c) try to make your exposition feel as authentic as possible to your narrator.

Be decisive: avoid phrases like 'seemed to' and 'felt like' etc. Instead of, "She seemed to glow with happiness' make it 'She glowed with happiness'. Simple changes like this just make you seem more sure of yourself as a writer because you're committing to the image. Again, this kind of indefinite phrasing is an easy habit to fall into but it's a very easy fix! Very often, the sentence will still make perfect sense if you simply delete these phrases (although sometimes it will need a few minor tweaks).

Metaphors, not similes. Honestly this is just a continuation of the previous rule! Rather than, 'It looked like an ocean of silver', 'An ocean of silver swelled before them' is much more interesting and committed to the bit! Again, that's not to say you can't use similes at all! They're great, but you should ask yourself if a metaphor would be better.

Don't be afraid to extend your metaphors. Extended metaphors are such fun. Consider my earlier example : 'An ocean of silver swelled before them'. If I was to extend this, I'd think about other images associated with the ocean. Waves, tides, sea creatures, the scent and sound of the water. And since I've compared it to silver, I'd also consider things that are semantically connected: gold, copper, jewels like emeralds, sapphires, pearls etc. Then I'd start crafting additional clauses/sentences to build upon that original metaphor.

Brush up on a wider range of writer methods. Honestly, teaching English helped me out a bunch here, but here are a few of my faves: polysyndeton: this is where you list with the same coordinating conjunctions (and, but, so, for etc) rather than commas. If you look at my writing you'd see I do this all the damn time. Anaphora: in the typical form I use it, it's where the start of successive clauses begin with the same opening word/phrase (think like MLK's 'I have a dream speech). Best used in a group of three in my experience. Again I use this all the time. The opposite of this (where successive clauses end in the same word/phrase) is called epistrophe. Oxymoron: a fun one. It's a paradoxical phrase (e.g. burning cold, loving hate etc) Hyperbole: an over-exaggeration (e.g. It's boiling hot. I walked a million miles to get here!). Very fun to use with an unreliable narrator or you want to get across just how unbearable/significant something is (but the key here is that it's got to be obvious you're over-exaggerating!) Synaesthesia: where you mix different senses together (e.g. The lights sang in harmony; the room smelled cold).

Planning does wonders for your story structure. For the longest time I was a 'pantster' and would just throw myself in writing on vibes only, but now I find that knowing where I want to take my story makes it much easier to place critical themes and the much loved foreshadowing.

I hope at least some of these can be helpful to you! These are methods that have helped me over the years, but the beauty of writing is of course that all of us over time develop our own 'voice'! Just because I say these are things I do doesn't mean that's what everyone has to do!

I love Yui she's such a nerd, honestly your blog is the whole reason I even like Yui now, I never disliked her but I never cared about her because she seemed kinda the basic " Nice girl " trope ( and I watched the anime first ) so I just ignored her but your blog put more light on her personality and now she is so much more interesting to me. I honestly wish we would get some more background info on her about her old life before the Sakamakis, we do kinda but not much.

When I thought Yui was a bland Nice Character only to realize she's a Clusmy, kinda slow, obsessive girl in love and somtimes just as crazy as the Sakamakis, like girrrl I've seen those Bad endings, Shuu More blood brute?? Ayato bad endings? Our true queen, say delulu in love Yui ❤️

I don’t have anything against the “nice girl” trope, as long as it’s executed well and the girl has more depth than just being “too good for this world.” Yui might come across as your typical nice girl at first glance, but even outside the endings, she occasionally does or says things so unexpectedly problematic that you can’t help but wonder “What’s wrong with her?”. That said, she’s not meant to be a normal character, since this is a game made for people with masochistic fantasies, and we’re supposed to either play as her or put ourselves in her shoes. It’s pretty clear Yui has always had some underlying masochistic tendencies. After all, she started enjoying the bites during the Dark section of the HDB chapters, which isn’t exactly something a “normal” person would do… well, not so fast. 👀

Yui is a kind and stupid girl in general, but she can also be cunning and even worse than the Diaboys when mad, so that’s what makes her interesting. Honestly, I’m glad she’s crazy too, if she weren’t, I’d feel way too bad for her. At least this way, she shares some of the twisted traits of her men, which makes her dynamic with them feel more balanced. 😂😂

Speaking of those endings, every time I think about them, I get chills. I can understand the “I’ll get rid of everyone for senpai because he’s my precious senpai and mine alone!” type of Yandere you see in anime, but the ones who do something truly horrifying to the person they claim to love are on a whole other level of disturbing. At least in Shu’s one, she “only” stabs him and locks him in a dungeon to turn him into her one and only blood slave. But in Ayato’s ending? She literally paralyzes his entire body out of jealousy, leaving him unable to move or speak yet fully conscious of what’s happening, while she carries him around like an actual DOLL, and then she uses him for pleasure. It’s practically an allegory for reducing someone to a living sex doll—an object meant solely to look good and fulfill someone else’s desires, which is just next-level of messed up, lol.

Sweet Treat

The protagonist struggles with social anxiety and dreads going out, but eventually decides to face their fears and go grocery shopping. However, things take an unexpected turn when the ground disappears below their feet!

I hated going out. It wasn’t that I had anything against the world outside my apartment—well, maybe I did—but it was more than that. I felt this heavy, constant weight whenever I thought about stepping outside. The idea of interacting with people, the noise, the way everyone seemed to move with purpose, while I just stumbled through it all like an awkward mess—it overwhelmed me.

Social anxiety had always been a part of me, lurking in the background. Sometimes it was quiet, easy to ignore, but other times it would rise up, loud and demanding. The mere thought of having to make small talk with a cashier or navigate crowded aisles felt like a mountain I couldn’t climb. My chest would tighten just thinking about it. And even if the store wasn’t crowded, the thought of being out in the open, exposed and vulnerable, made me want to crawl back under the covers where I felt safe.

Then there was the fact that I was an introvert. People drained me. I couldn’t explain it to anyone who didn’t feel it, but being around others—whether I was talking to them or just sharing a space—left me mentally exhausted. The silence of my apartment was comforting. I could recharge in peace, surrounded by the familiar comfort of my own space. The outside world felt like a jarring contrast, loud, unpredictable, and full of expectations I wasn’t sure I could meet.

But here I was, staring at the last few crumbs of chips left in my pantry. I had been putting off grocery shopping for days, but I knew I couldn’t avoid it any longer. I had to eat. I couldn’t live on five chips for the rest of the week. And while it wasn’t that hard to go to the store, it felt like an insurmountable task right now. The thought of dragging myself out there made my stomach churn.

Still, I knew I had no choice. I needed food to survive. That’s what I kept telling myself. I had to go. But maybe… if I allowed myself a small reward, something to get me through it, I could do it. My favorite candy bar… it was sitting at the back of my mind now, like a tempting little promise. It didn’t make the task easier, but it gave me a sliver of motivation.

It did sound good right now. Yes, bribery was working on me. It seemed like the only way I could get myself to leave the apartment these days. But I’d deal with that later; my goal today was to get groceries.

After I dressed and barely brushed my hair, I dragged myself out the door, already regretting this decision. The long walk to the store felt like it took forever. I really didn’t want to do this—I wanted to crawl back under the covers and dive into my favorite game or that show I’ve watched a hundred times, but it never gets old. But no, I had to get food. I had bodily functions that required calories to keep going.

I sighed and muttered under my breath, already dreading the crowd I could see gathering outside the store.

And then the ground disappeared beneath me, and I fell into darkness.

When I landed, it was soft—on a certain dark-furred monkey’s couch. I looked over at Macaque, who was casually reading a book, one arm resting behind me on the couch. I sat in silence for a few heartbeats as my mind caught up with the situation.

Macaque had kidnapped me again. For what reason this time? He wasn’t even acknowledging my presence, and he was the one who dropped me here! After I had finally forced myself to leave the house, this bastard.

“Why am I here this time?” I glared at him. To my knowledge, I didn’t have anything he wanted, at least not anything new that he could use. Being an info broker had its ups and downs, and right now, I was definitely in a down. Maybe he was just bored and messing with me again. He could be a real ass.

“Can I not just want to hang out with you without you being overly suspicious of everything I do?” he said, not even looking up from his book. But I saw the smirk playing at his lips. Yup, he was bored and messing with me.

I sighed and stood up. “Well, I have things I need to do, so if you could stop being—”

He interrupted, finally looking up from his book. “No, you don’t.”

I tilted my head. “And how would you know that? Even if you think I don’t, I need to get groceries!” I threw my hands up in frustration. He cocked his head to the side, smirking, then jerked his head toward the kitchen.

“Look at the table,” he said, going back to his book.

I did. It was the first time I had looked away from him since he dropped me here. On the table were plastic grocery bags. I put my bag down on the floor, walked over, and peeked inside a couple of the bags. They were filled with things I usually bought at the store. How did he know that? Was he stalking me?

I turned back to him. “What is all this? Are you stalking me again?”

He sighed, flipping the page in his book. “First of all, I’m not a stalker. I just need to know everything about the people I let into my life. And secondly, look under the candy bar.”

I turned back to the table and found my favorite candy bar sitting there. How did he know? Beneath it was a piece of paper. I picked it up—it was a grocery list, written in my handwriting. My brows furrowed. I hadn’t written one this time. How did he…?

Then it hit me. Last month, when I had finally forced myself to go to the store, I’d gotten home to find him already there. I was annoyed but not surprised by his behavior. I put him to work helping me unload and put away the groceries. Then I handed him the receipt and my used grocery list, asking him to throw them away.

I looked up at him. “Didn’t I ask you to throw this away?”

He nodded, glancing at me with his golden eyes. “Well, I decided that since you didn’t want it anymore, I could keep it. Not like you missed it or anything.” He shrugged like it was no big deal.

He sighed dramatically, glancing at me with that familiar arrogance. “And anyway, I’m doing you a favor.”

I turned to him with a raised eyebrow. “A favor, huh? Really?”

Macaque leaned back, lazily flipping through his book. “Yeah, you’re welcome.” He added the last part with an exaggerated casualness, like it was no big deal.

“Why would you do this?” I asked, still not convinced.

He snapped his book shut with a flourish, eyes gleaming with mischievous intent. “Can’t I just do something nice for you without you thinking I’ve got an ulterior motive?”

Even with the frustration in his eyes, he wore that smirk like it was his natural expression. It was hard to tell with him, but I couldn’t let his games get to my head. So I nodded and smiled. “Yup, you can’t do anything without it looking at least a little suspicious.”

I shot him the same cocky grin he was giving me, but I wasn’t about to fall for his games. I had just worked up the courage to go to the store, and I wasn’t going to let him stop me. So I walked back to the couch, planned on grabbing my bag, and heading out the door.

But before I could grab it, though, my wrist was grabbed, and I was flung back onto the couch. I instinctively shut my eyes when I was pulled down, and when I opened them again, his face was inches from mine. One of his hands was on my hip, his grip firm enough that I could feel his sharp nails through my clothes but not enough to hurt. The other hand held both my wrists above my head. His grip wasn’t tight—I could break free if I wanted—but I knew he wouldn’t actually hurt me. Maybe.

“M-Macaque?” I tried to steady my voice, but I still stuttered. My cheeks burned, and my eyes widened, staring into his golden ones. His face was so close that if I moved even a little, our lips would touch. His smirk widened.

He leaned over to my ear, his warm breath tickling me. “Maybe I do,” he whispered, nipping at my ear, making me gasp a little. Then he moved his head, his lips brushing against my neck, finishing his sentence against my skin: “Have ulterior motives.”

My eyes would have widened even more if that were possible. What was he doing? Why was he doing this?

He then moved again, pressing his lips against my other ear. “But even if I did, you’re too dense,” he whispered, nipping at my ear again, causing me to squeak. He then moved down to my neck, speaking softly against my pulse. “To truly see them.”

I could feel his sharp fangs brushing against my skin. My heart was racing. His hand on my hip slid up to my waist, lifting my shirt slightly as his fingers grazed my bare skin. It was gentle, almost like he was afraid of hurting me. Even with his fangs so close to my throat.

The only thing I could think to say blurted out of my mouth. “I’m not dense.”

He laughed, throwing his head back like what I said was the funniest thing in the world. It only made my heart race more, my cheeks burning with embarrassment.

When he looked at me again, that stupid, irritating smirk was back. His lips were so close that if I lifted my head a little, we’d… no, no, no. I couldn’t think like that. He was THE Six-Eared Macaque. He could barely be trusted, no matter how nice he acted.

“We’ll see about that,” he said, still chuckling.

Before I could respond, I suddenly found myself falling through the couch and landing lightly on a soft mattress. My eyes focused, and I realized he had dropped me in my own room. I placed a hand over my racing heart, taking deep breaths to calm myself down.

I couldn’t think thoughts like that about him. He was the enemy, no matter what. He was probably just trying to use a roundabout way to get under my skin and betray my friends. Yeah, that had to be it. Nothing more.

Except, his hands had felt so nice against my skin…

I slapped my cheeks to snap myself out of those spiraling thoughts. No. Get your head in the game. You have groceries to get.

I stood up from my bed and walked toward the door, only to notice the grocery bags on my table. They were the ones he had gotten for me, which I originally had no intention of accepting. And my bag was there too, thank god. At least that meant I didn’t have to see him again today.

The candy bar was still out of its bag, and this time, there was a note on it. I unfolded it, of course, from Macaque. It read:

“See you Sunday for the new season of whatever that show you’ve been waiting for.”

I stared at the note, half-amused and half-annoyed.

So he was still stalking me, huh? At least he got me groceries this time.

background info:

prior to the apocalypse, I was in college majoring in creative writing and minoring in theater. during my senior year of college, my mental health took a major plummet and I found myself in the worst mental state I had ever been, struggling with the thought of what to do after graduation, trying to work a low-paying job, and already crippled by student loan debt.

when the apocalypse broke out, I was in an inpatient facility recovering from an attempt on my own life. (my mental health is something I have struggled with for a good portion of my life in both this dr and in my cr, and this was not something I had scripted into this dr, but something I found out about this reality via channeling. this is not something I take lightly/would script in randomly. this is something that is very relevant to my experience in my cr so that's all I will really say about that)

my survival instinct has kicked into overdrive in this new landscape I have found myself in, and though this world presents its own unique challenges as opposed to life before, it is a world I find myself thriving in more than ever before.

I started off with my family at the beginning of everything breaking out, but don't know what ended up happening to them. (this was something I learned via channeling) I then drifted between random groups of people and often found myself on my own for a while. I end up making my way to the prison that rick and the group had made a home in and am nearly at the end of the road myself as I find myself exhausted, injured, and struggling to even stand. daryl finds me in the woods outside the prison and ends up bringing me in, advocating for the group to aid me.

with reluctance, they do- under the pretense that I'll be hitting the road as soon as I'm better (spoiler alert- I'm not going anywhere).

some small canon divergences if anyone is curious: rick has no kids in this reality, tyrese is still alive and so is hershel (and he never lost a leg). in general, walkers are not very strong and relatively easy to overpower and have no strong smell (otherwise I think I would be blacking out from the stench). also negan/the saviors are nonexistent.

upon first shifting to this reality, it's the first day we have arrived in alexandria and are still adjusting to the community.

I feel like that's all the pertinent information for now. as I receive more information via downloads/channeling that I have an interest in sharing/feel comfortable sharing I will update this! (also as I continue to shift to this reality this may be updated as well lol).

For a while l've been considering doing a Fairytale inspired jonsa AU but was never able to make up my mind in terms of which specific fairytale I wanted to base my art piece around (i could of course just do multiple ones but with already so many WIPs i didn't want to plan to add several more into my art rotation) so unable to make a decision I set the idea aside to work on other more concrete art ideas.

Then of course I saw the prompts for the Jonsa Valentine 2025 event, and it really did seem like the world itself was encouraging me to make a fairytale jonsa art piece.

This time I chose to avoid basing it on one specific fairytale and instead considered more general fairytale tropes that are found across many tales when I was brainstorming ideas on what I would make for this prompt.

In the end I decided to use the trope of True Love's Kiss (i.e. A kiss imbued with it's own sort of magic, able to break a curse, or even bring someone back from literal death) both because I thought it would be visually interesting and because I felt it would incorporate several elements of asoiaf/got canon.

(i.e. both the inherent romanticism of Jon and Sansa's personalities and storylines as well as specific events like Jon's tragic "death" and his later resurrection as well as the likely possibility of Sansa being the girl in grey fleeing north to be reunited with her "brother")

As for the related quote, I had been struggling to pick one as most of my possible choices, while admittedly poignant and romantic, felt very specific to either Jon or to Sansa in this art piece rather than being about the two of them together, so I'm actually really pleased with my final choice (lyrics from Keaton Henson's song You) as it feels like it had segments that represent the differing perspectives/wishes of both Jon and Sansa in this scenario.

I was pushing hard to have this finished in time (with the event being about a month a way when I first started this) and even though it ended up taking me a lot more time than I had hoped, I am happy with my decision to make two versions of this artwork as i feel the most satisfying element and impactful part of this fairytale trope is in the profound transformation it can create, and to do this justice I really felt I needed a before and after version of Sansa's Kiss being what brings Jon back from the dead.

Anyway thats about all the background info I'd like to dump on you about this piece so l'll end this on a thank you; specifically thank you to anyone who found, liked, or shared this piece and/or bothered to read my rambling thoughts about making this, as well as a thank you to everyone in this fandom who arranged and/or participated in this event!

Being part of a small but so dedicated fandom is just the sort of thing that makes me happy when everything else around me starts to feel harsh and distressing. I hope you all have a wonderful day and that everyone feels inspired to keep making and sharing all sorts of art and creative pieces for this fandom- it seems a very small thing in the scope of everything happening in the world and our lives but its still something that brings some much needed joy that I think many (especially myself) greatly value while also forgetting or struggling to actually find a way to adequately express our appreciation... so this is just my attempt to say thank you all for making this little slice of fandom so wonderful!

My Fantasy Life OCs!

Surprisingly, despite me literally never having posted about it before, my fantasy life OCs won the drawing poll?

Like, technically there's still time, but it was in the lead when church started and has somehow maintained that lead??? Do you Fantasy Life people just regularly check the tag at 3 in the morning or something? Anyway, here are my kids:

I have some more, but these are the three I think of as the "main" ones, y'know?

If you're NOT a Fantasy Life person, it's a comedy RPG for the 3DS that focuses on following a specific fantasy career, helping people fulfill their heart's desires, and exploring the world (and by proxy becoming an ambassador for all the major kingdoms and solving their issues). Also, you're the protagonist in name only. The real protagonist is your naive and sassy talking butterfly companion at the center of the story, and you're more like her hypercompetent sidekick.

It's something of a tongue and cheek loving celebration of a bunch of fantasy RPG tropes. The tone is all sillies all the time, and I could not love it more. It's really cute and funny, and I highly recommend it. Also, I can spend literal hours in the character creator making OCs. It's better than most picrews! If you have questions about the game, feel free to ask me and I'll make a summary for you!

Anyways, info about my OCs under the cut so I don't clog everyone's dash!

These three sort of just spawned personalities while I was playing the game, and are my three favorite classes to play (least favorite is tied for Blacksmith and Wizard). They each developed WILDLY different takes on the "Silent Protagonist" trope that Fantasy Life constantly lampshades, and I love them all!

Ginger is the loud silent protagonist. She manages to be ridiculously expressive and full of personality despite being mostly non-verbal. Her face is super expressive, and she reacts with her ENTIRE body, making it clear what she's thinking without words. Her directness with her actions makes up for her lack of language. When she wants to tell you something, she'll tell you without speaking once, although she still vocalizes quite a lot (screaming, laughing, crying, hums, etc.)

Sella is the mysterious silent protagonist. She always has a glint of mischief in her eyes and body language, and you're never quite sure if she's making fun of you or not. She definitely gives off the impression that she's keeping a secret. She's just unobtrusive enough to fade into the background for most people, and will surprise people by appearing in places they didn't think she knew about, or acting on knowledge they don't remember sharing. When asked questions, she usually just responds with a sly smile.

Autumn is the stoic silent protagonist. She never seems to have ANY feelings, maintaining the same blank demeanor through everything, no matter how world-shattering. You could be talking to a brick wall for how little she rescts. While those who get to know her can pick up on her tells, to strangers, she seems like she's on a completely different planet than everyone else with her constant serene seriousness.

While I created these three separately, they quickly became a trio in my mind due to the fun ways they play off each other. I also accidently managed to make them fit three different Girl Trio tropes, which is pretty funny! Sella is the beauty to Ginger's brain and Autumn's brawn; Ginger's the redhead to Autumn's brunette and Sella's blond; and Autumn is the butch to Sella's femme and Ginger's neither, making them a town girls trio too!

When designing them, I mostly based Autumn off the in-game Legendary Hunter outfit, which becomes obvious from the bird in the cap, but I put my own spin on it. . .and gave her kneepads and elbow pads because it's me and of COURSE I did. I was gonna go harder on the yellow just to add more color to the outfit so it wasn't overwhelmingly green, but I ended out adding a red accent that I really liked. Final result kinda gives Robin Hood vibes, which I'm VERY happy with.

I based Sella off of Chic and other Port Puerto tailor's outfits, since her main color has always been blue and thus fits well into the Port Puerto style and palette. I also tried to give her a vibe of Noble Lady who instead of being a fair damsel, goes out and gets dirty herself, hence the sturdy pants and boots. Kinda like what Laura or Olivia would look like if you mixed their daytime and nighttime outfits. Sella has the freedom of dressing for herself, not an audience, so she can do that kind of thing.

For Ginger, I took the least inspiration from the game and the most from real life. I wanted her to look somewhere between an art major and a chem major since alchemy is kind of both. Add the vaguely historical fantasy twist to those wardrobes, and she came out very cute and very unique and I am so in love with her. I think I actually spent more time on Flouride, trying to get the cat anatomy right than I did on her lol.

While they're all kind hero material, I will say Autumn is the most classically heroic of the group, facing problems head-on and putting aside her personal desires to help someone in need every time. This is notable because her personal desires usually entail being left alone---she's very antisocial.

Sella (fittingly for a tailor) is the most crafty protagonist. She's the most likely to solve problems by sneaking, stealing, and sometimes cheating or lying if it'll help people in the end. And I'd be lying if I said she didn't enjoy pulling one over on people.

Ginger is the most friendly and social, but is a bit scatterebrained and clutzy, meaning she tends to solve people's problems in chaotic ways that don't make a whole lot of sense to the outside observer. She thinks outside the box!

So one of my mutual on twitter was saying that it seems like in Western animated shows (a part from a general lack of queer romances) FF romances have higher numbers than MM. Because I wanted to check, I made a list so I thought it would be nice to share both FF and MM romances in Western animation, so people know where to find them!! (mm ships here)

These are all canon and I only added romances between main or very present secondary characters. I avoided stuff like background couples or "they gave her a girlfriend in the last episode" kind of stuff. Tho, I did not watch all these shows, so keep in my that for some of them I am using online info.

There will be SPOILERS (especially for: Did they kiss? Did they end up together?)

In order (top to bottom, left to right):

Miriam and Hira (Dragon Age Absolution): Ex-girlfriends who reconnect. Miriam is the protagonist and Hira one of the protagonists. Do they kiss? Yes. But at the end they break up but not because they are not in love with each other's, they still are very much in love (I still really enjoyed it, for the longing and the angst). Uncertain if there will be a season two that will continue their story.

Vi and Cait (Arcane): Complete show (two season). Vi and Cait are both protagonists and their relationship is the main romance of the show. They meet in season 1 and the romance progress pretty quickly. There is a break up in the middle, but it only makes the heart grow fonder! Do they kiss? Yes, they do much more. They do it all! They also have a happy ending!

Amaya and Janai (The Dragon Prince): Final season coming out soon. Amaya is one of the main characters since S1, Janai is introduced in S3 and then becomes one of the main cast. S3 is also when their romance start and when they meet. Enemies to lovers, enemies who flirt!! And then lovers! Do they kiss? Yes. They marry, in fact. Their story continues through the rest of the whole show, and all the adventures are never "Amaya vs Janai" but them working together as a couple and facing adversity. They are the second main romance of the show.

Korra and Asami (Legend of Korra): I mean, this is a classic. The romance was fought for by the creators, and the series ended with a "vague romance ending" as a form of censorship. Do they kiss? not in the show, but comics continue their story. Still, you can see their relationship progress in the show (from their first meeting to their romance ending), and I thank the comicbooks every single day or people would insist they are just friends.

Charlie and Vaggie (Hazbin Hotel): One season is out, another in the making. Charlie and Vaggie start as already in a relationship and are girlfriends since episode one. They are the main relationship in the show, and their romance is mainly about them facing adversities together (and romance troubles at one point). Do they kiss? Yes. And they sing love songs about and to each other's too.

Marceline and Bubblegum (Adventure Time): another wlw romance that was fought for and I think almost got censored! They are both part of the recurring secondary cast. I need a rewatch of this show (completed show btw) because there are so many hints when you get through the episodes knowing that Marceline and Bubblegum are having this rivals-animosity-girlfriend-flirting-breakup(they are supposedly exes!)-reconciliation romance in and off screen. Do they kiss? Yes, at the end! They do have an explicit happy ending and end up together! They are also shown happily together in the completed special sequel Adventure Time: Distant Lands.

Harley and Poison Ivy (Harley Quinn): Ongoing DC series, Harley is the protagonist and Ivy a main character. They start as friends and begin dating at the end of season 2. I have not watched the show, but I know that they are still together and they do kiss multiple times!

Adora and Catra (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power): Complete series that ends up with an explicit canon romance (and kiss!) and a happy ending! I have yet to watch it (I NEED TO), but I know that the series introduce them as childhood friends turned enemies and then has an enemies to lovers arc! Also Adora is the protagonist and Catra a main character.

Amity and Luz (The Owl House): I have not watched this, sorry! There might be other queer main ships in this show that I am not aware of. I just know that Luz is the protagonist and Amity a main character. The show is complete and they do have a happy ending. Do they kiss? Yes!

Bean and Mora (Disenchantment): Bean is the protagonist and Mora a secondary character, their relationship develops in S3 and S4 (the show is complete). I did not finish this yet, so I have yet to encounter Mora. Do they kiss? Yes. And they are also endgame!

Ruby and Sapphire (Stephen Universe): I am sorry, I know nothing about this show! I just know that are among the main characters cast, they do have a happy ending, they marry and they kiss!

Zarya and Kitty (Mysticons): Sadly, I think this ship fell to censorship. I have not watched the show, but from what I gather they were supposed to kiss (there is a cut scene with a kiss), but the show only aired a more vague ending for them. They seem to be only hinted through S1 and S2, and even if they explicitly say "I love you", most of the wiki I found calls them "childhood friends" only.

Luna and Sam (The Loud House): another show I am not familiar with, all I know is that they are canon! And Luna is a main character. I am unsure how much the show focuses on their relationship, but I know they explicitly date and then become girlfriends!

Batwoman and Renee (Batman Bad Blood): This is an animated movie with Kate (Batwoman) as the protagonist. Her and Renee do not end up together but they are on a date (explicitly a date!) at the start. Sadly I am not familiar with DC, but from what I gathered they did/do have a relationship in some comics too.

Beckett and Jennifer (Star Trek: Lower Decks): Sadly they do not have an endgame status or happy ending, and they break up in the show (but remain friends). Still, they do date (and kiss!) in at least two season.

Kelsey and Stacks (Craig of the Creek): Kelsey is a main character and Stacks seems to be a secondary character. They are both very young (9 or 10 years old!) and confirmed girlfriend, but I do not know more.

Red Action and Enid (OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes): Another show I am not familiar with! What I know is that Enid is a main character and Red Action part of the main cast too. They are confirmed as girlfriend in S3, they do kiss and they are still together at the end!

Catwoman and Batwoman (Catwoman Hunted): I am cheating a bit because this is technically an anime (Japanese animation) but based on DC, so I decided to add them anyway. This is a movie. Catwoman is the protagonist and Batwoman a main character. They do seem to have a flirting relationship, there is an almost kiss, but technically only for distracting Batwoman.

Along with him being a controversial political figure in Vostege, Mors has many enemies. This resulted in him buying hiring a special vessel from “Goldbelle’s Facility of Maids”.

Mors had no one else but himself to blame, having taken the life of his one and only ally. If he was still under her protection, would he be a free man? Arms bound by rope, wood digging into his neck, he might as well think of his last words instead of what-ifs.

Elm stepped into the dark carriage and Mors came out the of coffin.

To answer this question I'm going to start by explaining a bit of background about fansites and how they function (I'm by no means an expert, but here's my understanding of how it all works).

Part 1 - Fansites in General

There has been a lot of talk about fansites over the years, and some have faced accusations, criticisms, confusion, suspicions, theories both positive and negative for a very long time. I think they're largely misunderstood by a lot of fans.

For example, it's not uncommon for people to believe fansites are stalkers, or that they shamelessly profit from the unauthorized use of a star's image or footage, or that they're organizations that exist for the purpose of exploiting stars.

This isn't really how it works at all. In general, a fansite is just one fan who follows a star's career and enjoys sharing photos and videos they take of that star. Plain and simple. Some fansites involve more than one person, but most are just made up of individuals.

Yes, they sometimes make money selling photo books and other merch, but that money tends to go back into supporting the star -buying endorsement products, arranging events and giveaways, buying or upgrading equipment needed to create fansite content (cameras, computer equipment, software), paying for tickets (many of which are overpriced reseller tickets) and travel/accommodations to attend events, etc.

It might seem glamorous - and there's undeniably a glamorous aspect to it - but to me it looks very stressful, like a huge headache. These fans generally have their own lives and careers outside of fandom, so coordinating everything, waiting in lines, standing in the rain outside appearances and events, not to mention the pressure to attend events and post regular updates, and all the haters and antis they are constantly dealing with, the amount of stress and frustration they deal with must be immense.

It's a lot of work, and for this reason, fansites don't always stay fansites. Some retire as their real life interests and obligations shift. One of my favorite GGDD fansites - Midnight Dream - retired a few years ago. 😢

Fansites are an important part of any celebrity's support system. While no - they aren't part of a celebrity's team or on their payroll, they do play a huge part in helping to bring attention to a star and build buzz around them, their projects, their appearances, events and other activities.

If you want an analogy that might help it make more sense to you, just look at some of the sports fans across the globe who will follow all the matches, follow team developments, team picks, managers and training, and share all that info on blogs, podcasts or dedicated sports fan sites.

This is very similar. They're just really dedicated fans who build a following by being where we can't be, and sharing their experiences so that we can feel like we were there, too.

And they provide the fans and the stars an immense, immeasurable service IMHO, despite what we might agree or disagree with about the way fandom culture works. The content they capture and share is almost always far more intimate (generally without being invasive), and of a far higher quality than that of the professionals hired to cover these events on behalf of media agencies and management.

Fansites do get some official support from time to time. For example, there are events where fansites can get approval - almost like a press pass or a security pass - to attend and be in certain locations within or near facilities to take photographs, video, etc., but they are not hired or compensated by the star or their team.

A lot of it is also largely unknown/unknowable, so it's hard to be sure of the details. There are always going to be rumors and claims. For example, there have been claims that during SDOC Yibo was allowed to invite 4 fansites to come to the finale, and of the 4, he chose 3 BXG fansites and only one solo site. I haven't seen proof of that, but the claim was making the rounds a lot at the time.

One thing we do know - he chose a fansite photo to give to Yangkai when he was courting him to join his team in season 4. (Of course, solos made a huge stink and Youku ended up editing the footage to remove the photo, but we saw what we saw).

There are other examples of GG and DD interacting with or showing acceptance of their BXG fansites. I started looking for some references and then realized it was not something I have time for or interest in. I'm not here to give a comprehensive analysis anyway, I'm just here to give a simple-ish answer to your question. If others want to discuss that in the notes, that's fine.

So, hopefully some of that background info will have answered parts of your question, and gives you more tools to evaluate things on your own moving forward.

Part 2 - Global Fever

As for Global Fever specifically, well... Global Fever is one of the most treasured BXG in the entire fandom. This dedicated fan has been following GG and DD BOTH, since they debuted. She is more than just a CP fan, she's been a supporter of their individual careers since day 1.

Yes, since back when Yibo was still the White Peony.

She became a CP fan in the natural way - by seeing her faves work together on The Untamed, by watching them interact and by following them and their careers. No, she doesn't work for their teams (they both have dedicated teams of their own, and they don't need to pay fansites who - after all - will do this stuff for free). It's just that she's recognizable to GG and DD because she's been a fixture in their lives for so many years.

And this is something solos need to get their heads around: BXG are fans too. I think there's this conceit among solos that THEY'RE GG and DD's fans and BXG are something else, but in reality (and, no doubt, in the eyes of GG and DD) BXG are their fans too.

Never could that be more apparent than when a dedicated fan like Global Fever jiejie is calling 'Zhanzhan, jiayou!' and 'byebye!' as he's boarding an elevator on the way to the stage. Of course GG recognized her and smiled at her. Of course.

For each trope, explain why it fits—not just in terms of dynamics, but what it reveals about your blorbos as characters. Think of it as both ship analysis and character dissection.

Unstoppable Force vs Immovable Object: I think this is their baseline trope. Though it's not fixed for any of them. They both change these two roles between each other, depending on the situation and the things they go through. Solas is definitely both the Unstoppable Force and the Immovable Object and so is Idunn. They somehow meet in the middle and the two forces that push and pull realize that the only measure they can take is to merge with each other.

Birds of a Feather: They are very alike. They have extremely similar wishes and goals. (for more info on her background and why she is like this, here is a link that explains her better. She is my DnD and BG3 OC and what happens in DAV is an AU to her main story - right here ) She is extremely tempted by the tearing of the Veil, despises the way the world is, and thinks what used to be is an improvement. She keeps it a secret though, from both him and the companions, even though Solas senses it. He knows she's tempted and this is one of the main reasons he becomes strangely possessive and addicted to her. She's his only glimpse to the outside world and also one of the few people who understood him. While she sees in him power. Yes, incredible magical power and determination, paired again with someone who truly gets her. She cannot resist it. She realizes though that the risks outweigh the benefits, especially due to the Blight that might escape and destroy everything, so she decides to try stopping him.

Because Destiny Says So: Yeah the good ol' fated trope. It can also be the red thread of fate one. There's just no other way for them than to be together. They're doomed and blessed by it and they soon accept and embrace it. She comes from Toril to Thedas via the Fade/Feywild and he lures her in when he senses her presence simply because he's intrigued by what she is. She ends up working with Varric and hunting him and in the meanwhile he watches her. Then they get unintentionally (or not?) tangled into a Blood Magic binding that intertwines them on levels that he didn't really intend at the beginning. The deeper the connection gets, the more they start wondering if it is real, or just a result of the Blood Bond and they decide they should test this somehow (GeraltxYenn moment yes ;)). They do get to test it but not the way they had intended and yet again unintentionally. Many of the things that happen to them, though driven by their own insatiable thirst for the unattainable, are also accidental and they fall into situations as a rule.

Sun and Moon: Even though they're very alike, on some level they're also opposites. They share goals and ambitions, and especially ideals, but the way they go about achieving them is different. They're complementary, the same, yet alike, and serve a similar purpose, but in different ways, so like the sun and moon. She's insatiable, hungry for life and experiences, wants more and more, and needs to do it all. He used to be like that as well, when he was young but is now tired, worn out, lonely, and all that zest of life that she has, that light and warmth feeds him, alights him as well. When all the tragedy is over and they can move on and finally be together, her main goal is to help him truly live and enjoy every moment of it.

Dark Mirror Lovers The entanglement, oh the entanglement these two have. It isn't only magical in nature, but also theirs, natural and not influenced by the blood bond. She is protective of him because she sees herself in him. When a companion judges him too harshly, she takes it personally because she is like that as well. She has compassion for him, especially after seeing his memories, and is enraged when the companions still don't get it. In the end of the game, in Minrathous she's very eager for the others to not judge him too harshly, and at the very end, in the Atonement ending she orders all the doors of the Palace to be sealed and not opened until his blood is cleaned so that no one takes it and practices some nefarious magic with it. Afterward, while she lives for a while at the Lighthouse (before joining him in the Fade again), she fights to redeem him in the consciousness of the people, working with the local papers to write about the fact that he did ultimately save Thedas from utter destruction. He, on the other hand, is possessive in a slightly different way. He believes that if he doesn't intervene, she'll somehow fail or be killed, and does it a few times when she doesn't really want it. He is also silently jealous of the companions who she might pay attention to, but he thinks he's hiding it well. He doesn't and everyone does know. He also promises he will help her get back home after game events but he doesn't keep the promise because he cannot let her go. In the end they both pine for each other, Idunn at the Lighthouse all alone and depressed and him fighting the Blight and being wrecked by it. He uses the Blood Magic bond to reach out to her and she doesn't answer, but after a while, they meet again.

Given the recent Stephanie Beatriz comments about Vaggie, what do you think will happen? Like, in another interview she had long ago, she mentioned Vaggie's bow being a hint to her arc. And also just the fact that outside of her Exorcist past, we know nothing about her backstory or even the lore of Exorcist Angels themselves. Also, I don't know if you noticed but Vaggie was the only angel among Adam and the Exorcists to have a single stripe on her wing, before and after she was abandoned.

I just rewatched that interview , they talk about the bow around 5:45, (fun fact I was able to find it from one of your old posts) and while it's a fun bit of info, I don't really have any theories about what it could mean atm. We'll see!

Honestly, we have so little info on what will happen in season 2 and even less after that, so I don't really have theories about Vaggie's potential arc yet. I am just glad to know things will be addressed.

Ended up a bit long, so I am putting it under a cut, but TLDR: Vaggie is the only exorcist with only one black stripe on her wings, and I think it's a deliberate design choice. After that, I share a few thoughts/theories about what it could mean and about Vaggie's potential backstory in general as well!

I noticed the stripes! I think I actually have a post I started about it in my drafts, but since you mentioned it I ll talk about it here!

We see many exorcists during flashbacks and the final battle, but still Vaggie remains the only one to have 1 black stripe on her wings instead of 2. It's such a deliberate design choice, it can't be by accident. You could say it's for easier animation, but if that really was the case, it would make sense for Lute to have only one stripe as well, given we see her wings (both in-use and relaxed) more than Vaggie's in season one.

I am not sure what it could mean tbh, but it has to mean something. My one idea is that she is different from the rest of the exorcists, being that the others are Heavenborn and she isn't. Or the reverse. Would explain why she didn't even hesitate to hurt and even kill the other exorcists in the finale battle, if she was an outcast among them even in Heaven.

I ve seen theories for both arguments, but I personally think Vaggie did have a human life before becoming an exorcist. One "proof" (if you could even call it that) I have is in her trading card design.

It's hard to see, but on the upper right corner there are eyes just staring at her in the background.

This was a motif used for her in the pre- pilot days, it shows up in multiple artworks about her. From what I could find it's a reference to her old backstory, (when she was a sinner who took her own life) but I couldn't really find on exact source on what they represent/represented back then.

Given it's something that was used in the context of her old backstory, this motif still being present for her could hint at parts of her old lore still being canon.

You could make the argument that it's a reference to her past as an exorcist, and the eyes represent her victims, and honestly, I could see that being the case as well!

It's not a proof more like an opinion, but I think Vaggie as a character had an extended backstory that developed over many years, and even if she was changed to be an exorcist I don't think it has to mean that all that (potiental) backstory of her human life was thrown away.

She could have had a human life even she is not aware of atm, beacase she lost her memory (and by lost I mean it was forcibly erased in Heaven. If exorcists are human souls it would make sense for them to have their memory wiped, so they wouldnt hesitate even if their target in Hell is someone they knew on Earth) so her rediscovering it and finding out about her past, or even meeting someone she knew, would be a great premise fo a future arc for her in the show.

I don't really have a way to end this lol, in any case I am super excited about her upcoming storyline in the future seasons and I ll be thinking about what Stephanie could have meant by saying the bow represents her arc till season 2 comes out.

Let's talk about my Lokius undercover BDSMverse fic. It's an AU where:

Mobius is a secret virgin Dom and resistant to exploring that side of himself

Loki is a wily, bratty sub and has always worked in the TVA (I have a whole backstory about it)

They have to pretend to be in a committed D/s relationship and live on the timeline to hunt down the bad guys threatening multiversal order.

I'm excited about putting Mobius in more and more kinky scenarios and him being resistant but having to relent bit by bit, and also Loki wanting to do it all and being hurt because they think Mobius doesn't care (but really he respects them too much). Misunderstandings, my beloved.

I honestly don't know what sparked it other than, "Let's pack as much kink and angst into a fic as possible," and, "Here's how I can do that."

Orange

Mobius rubbed at his neck and got up. The sofa wasn’t made for sleeping on, but as he heard Loki descend the stairs, he gave himself a shake and started folding the blanket. He picked it and the pillow up.

"I’ll do that,” Loki said, sweeping across the floor and holding out their hand.

"No need.” He gave them a brief smile and headed to the cupboard. He needed to get changed out of last night’s clothes—unlike Loki, who looked amazing in their short black dress—but first, he needed breakfast. He walked into the kitchen and opened the bread bin.

"I can also do that.”

"It’s just toast,” Mobius mumbled. He dropped two slices into the toaster, feeling Loki’s eyes bore into him. Louder, he asked, “Do you want some?”

"I should make it myself.”

"Look, it’s fine. There’s no one here but us two. You don’t need to be my little house-wifey right now.” He paused, turning to look at their confused frown and how their fingers hooked around the ring of the collar. He swallowed, then said, “Do you want some toast or not?”

"It’s not about being alone. We need to make these things so ingrained that our story can never be questioned.”

Mobius sighed. “Can’t we just have breakfast this way once? This is hard enough as it is.”

Their face fell, making him feel even more like a shit person, but then they took a deep breath and forced the corners of their lips to curl. “Just this once.”

"Sure. With jam?”

"Please. And butter.”

Red

Same thing that always keeps me back: figuring out the plot and being easily distracted.
