Your first initial impressions of any Twst character vs your current feelings about them?

honestly, my perception of pretty much every character went through some metamorphosis of "this guy looks like a jerk" to "oh, he's a stupid jerk? now hold on." it's all about that balancing act between a dark brooding asshole and a dark brooding asshole who is also totally ridiculous, and it really does make ALL the difference.

perhaps most ironically, I've mentioned before that I was absolutely not into the Diasomnias at first, because the impression the website gave pre-release was somehow even less favorable than for everyone else and I was mad at Lilia for getting my hopes up for a token girl). and then we got their stories and, well, I kind of just haven't stopped thinking about them since. 🤷

also, I went in thinking that Crowley was going to be. y'know. competent at his job. a helpful guide. a mysterious yet caring mentor figure, a fitting leader for this band of delicate young magic waifs with their fancy little magic outfits and their perfect, perfect hair. I've never been so glad to be wrong.

Just wanted to say, I love your Mouse mom and Rat dad. The artwork gives me Ghibli vibes and love how you draw eyes and expressions.

But I do have a few questions. Does Mariela have/had parents? I recall that her cousin is a grasshopper mouse, so is Mariela adopted? If her parents are still around, how would they react to her being a mother?

Mariella's own mother was sickly and passed away when she was a baby, she doesn't have brothers or sisters which is very unusual for a mouse. Her grandparents raised her and she had aunties and uncles of course but she quietly longs for the mother and siblings she didn't get to have

me when i pick an incredibly depressed and absolutely destroyed by life character as my fav/comfort character and the moment i draw them i feel the need to explode because i can only handle so much angst (it's not even that much)

anyway ummmm not much about this drawing, i kinda drew it bc i had a very sudden idea something about embracing your inner child

i also needed to draw someone hugging someone else as some form of comfort for myself idkk

also ignore that the anatomy is really really funky you'd think that after 8 years i'd know how anatomy works but low behold i'm still terrible at it :"D (also i don't understand the proportions of an 8 year old so kid stan ended up looking a little older than he's supposed to be but eh)

lol I just had a vision of the ghost primes bullying Optimus into taking care of himself. They had each other to run Cybertron and defer tasks to, while Optimus is one prime by himself.

can it be a bit annoying? yes. but that's their prerogative as older siblings <3 (and optimus doesn't mind nearly as much as he thinks it probably should but shhh don't let them know)

HAPPY FRICKIN FRIDAY, EVERYONE!

Just popping in to say that I hope you all have a fantastic day and that your weekends all get off to the best start!

I know I haven’t been around much lately, (which quite honestly bugs the shit out of me) and I’m sorry for that. No, really, I am. I know it’s not a huge deal, and that I’m not letting anyone down in any sort of meaningful way, but I don’t like not being around. I don’t like not being more active and sharing more stories and screaming about stories or art that makes my heart go boom. I don’t like not chatting or laughing with you. The thing is that my life has been full past capacity with stressors and obstacles for the last few months, and I’ve been in straight up survival mode just trying to get to the next day. That sounds very dramatic but it feels very true.

Today we’re going to my sister-in-law’s wedding - an event that has been extremely stressful in various ways to get ready for, despite the fact that I’m extremely happy for her and her very soon to be husband - and I’m very much hoping that means that after today I’ll be a little more able to be more present here, and more able to write. I still have so many stories in my brain that I want to share, so many stories that I need to finish, and I hope I get the chance to now.

Anyway, this was a long post to say that I’m still here and hopefully I’ll be around more regularly very soon. And if you’ve recently tagged me or messaged me or posted a fic, please know I appreciate the heck out of you and I’ll respond and tag back in as soon as humanly possible. Lots of love, friends! ✌🏻🤍
