A live reaction of me watching the first episode of 911: WHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS BEEN GAY THIS WHOLE TIME WHY HAVENT I EVER HEARD OF THE LESBIANS?!
My friend who knew I was excited to watch a bi character on tv: So you could have been watching it for years?
Me making disgruntled noises: Yes and I need to learn how to do research

The story behind the pictures
“At first Elvis sent photographs at no charge, but when the requests multiplied, he requested twenty-five cents for each picture or eight cents a piece for mass orders. One of the first pictures he sent out was a dreamy-eyed head shot— the result of Elvis’ first professional photo session
‘He came off like dynamite,’ recalled Bill Speer, whose lens captured Presley in late 1954. ‘As soon as I sat him in front of the camera, I knew he had it’. Speer’s wife, Vacil, was certainly impressed the evening Bob Neal brought Elvis to the studio. ‘Oh, I opened that door, and his animal charm, his animal magnetism!’
When Bill finished taking the requisite portraits of Elvis in a sports coat and shirt, the photographer said, ‘Well, if that’s all the clothes you brought, I guess we’re done’
‘No honey,’ Vacil protested. ‘Get him to take his shirt off!’. Though the young singer at first protested, he at last shyly unbuttoned his shirt and slipped it off
When he was later sent copies of the shirt-less shots, Elvis scrutinized one of them and scribbled on the back ‘This one has got to go! Ha ha ha!’
Elvis returned to Speer’s studio to have some portrait shots of his girlfriend, Barbara Hearn. During this meeting, Speer thinks he may have offended Elvis. According to Speer, while he was concentrating on photographing Barbara, Elvis was in the next room and began singing, when Speer said, ‘Stop the racket! I’m trying to take a picture’. After that, Speer never met Elvis again…”

I just want it to be known that I get that Octavian cutting open stuffed animals for prophecies is better than killing animals.
But like-
If that fucker harmed a single one of my stuffed animals, those assholes would have needed to find a new way to get those prophecies bc it’s on sight.

“Zuko would have jumped in front of Azula’s lighting bolt for anyone!”
Yes! And? Katara would’ve given the “I’ll make sure your destiny ends right then and there, permanently.” speech, to anyone who threatened the life of a loved one. Whether it be Aang, Sokka, Toph, Hakota, etc. Hell, she’d defend an innocent stranger that way, and she has. Besides, it’s not like we haven’t seen Zuko take a lightning bolt for someone else besides Katara— oh wait, we haven’t (he still would though ofc).
Regardless, it’s the same point, inverted.
“Zuko would die for any of his friends” and “Katara would kill for any of her friends” are foil characterization traits; not opposing arguments.

I love love love that the ccs will be forced to use the translator in order to communicate with the new ccs joining qsmp because that’s what it’s there for!!!!! it’s a translator!!! use it to translate, even if both of you are able to speak the same language!
I don’t see enough people use the translator, especially when the ccs are both able to speak (usually) english, and it’s still great that they can speak easier if they speak the same language, but the language barrier is one of the causes for the creation of the qsmp! Let the language barrier be a barrier in the first place, and let the translator do the work it was meant to do!
Let people who physically can’t speak the same language interact! It’s part of what makes qsmp qsmp, and even though it has impacted hugely just from adding people who generally create content and talk in different languages, I do think it somewhat lacks in the people speaking different languages category, because while that is true, it is also somewhat untrue in that all of the ccs can speak one of the same language (usually english), even if they’re not a natural at it!
Now, that’s not a bad thing at all! But, it does blur the speaking different languages problem that was meant to occur in qsmp. They speak different languages! Let them speak whatever language they want and let the translator do the work! Again, that is what it is there for! It is a translator! (I’m looking at you twitter)
And even if it takes a million repeats of the same sentence for someone to finally get what another person is trying to say, a hundred fuck-ups of the translation or a thousand language barrier/cultural miscommunications, again, qsmp was made for this to happen! It was made so people who come from different backgrounds and are usually unable to interact because of cultural/language barriers can interact, whether it start out negative or positive!
And I trust them (the ccs and fans) to communicate if controversy/confusion happens culturally and language-wise, and (hopefully) for the fans to not turn anything minor** into a huge drama, so I am extremely excited to see the ccs be forced into using the translator!
