I am royally pissed about everything live action Star Wars rn. (Animation this isn’t about you bby you guys are ok rn)

I have basically no faith in what’s being made going forward. I think Disney executives have destroyed everything good about Star Wars. Pandering to the worst parts of the fandom in order to make money rather than tell new exciting and diverse stories. Rather than put their all into a universe of equally good and important shows that exist to serve a cohesive narrative.

I think the streaming wars and corporate greed have finally ruined the creativity behind Star Wars and I genuinely don’t know how we move on from here.

Using the word cancelled when no other Star Wars show has had second season rumors explicitly shut down like this is intentionally nasty.

Removing a fan favorite character from important timeline events because the same bitter miserable people hate bombed his standalone show despite the actor being enthusiastically and willingly committed to the character is downright insulting to the actor himself AND all the writers who clearly had an intended purpose for the character.

I genuinely don’t know how we move forward as a fanbase. I don’t know how this gets fixed other than to just stop watching or demand a break until justice is done for all the concerns we have.

I’m tired of people treating Star Wars like it has to be Oscar worthy cinema or it’s garbage not worth making. I’m tired of our intelligence being insulted to cater to troglodytes whose surface level understanding of this piece of media amounts to pew pew cool lightsaber battles.

I’m just so fucking tired of hoping they will do right by all the truly great potential this universe has and being let down every time.

It's a big shame the anime skipped the 2nd half of Kuusuke's monologue from chapter 178. Some people tend to misinterpret this scene, and this part makes it even more clear that Kuusuke was very much in the wrong.

"Kuusuke won and destroyed Teruhashi" No, he fully lost. He basically acknowledges that himself as well.

So now that Marvel has made a pretty good Spiderman show with an artstyle inspired by the work of John Romita when the fuck is DC gonna lock in and adapt the style of Dan Mora into an animated feature film the likes of which the world has never seen

The crosshatching and gradient combo to show distance, his use of shadow, his water effects, his color palettes, DC GET UP!! Right now!! Adapting the style would not be easy but it can be done!

How did you get so good at animating and drawing? Aside from practice, what techniques do you use? What software do you use?

I only know the basics/fundamentals of both drawing and animation.

For drawing, I've carried out lessons about the Elements and principles of design, the history of graphics design, traditional drawing techniques, color theory, anatomy, character design, blah blah blah. Lots of info I still do my best to practice/put in my art. If y'all notice me animating gifs then it's bc I have time to do so... ( I'm in term break until late July ) They're likely short, but it's through animation blocking, timing, and incorporating both in-betweens and tweening.

I've used Adobe Animate/After Effects for school projects, sometimes for doodles only, I currently use Clip Studio Paint bc it's where I'm more comfy with ^^ Maybe someday I'll be able to afford Toon Boom hehe.
