#I can't believe my computer broke just a couple of days before the new chapter came out.#Not to be dramatic or anything but this was my last straw#It means everything to me 😭😭😭 My puter has my whole life in in. And endless resources of everything#That's why people tell you to backup stuff 🤦🤦🤦#Okay before I get too dramatic it's not gone like I can turn it on just fine.#Except there's no cursor to be found anywhere and I can't find a way to fix it#(Yeah it's not the f4 key I've tried that. Repeatedly)#So since there's no way to turn the puter off without mouse I had to kill it the hard way 4-5 times today#(aka every time I tried turning it on again in hope everything got fixed on its own)#And when I turned it on again five minutes ago. IT DIDN'T START NORMALLY. AND IT ASKED THE SYSTEM LANGUAGE AND STUFF#I lost like. Half my lifespan. I was terrified it got formatted out of nowhere and I had lost everything#It didn't. It seemingly is fine (from what I can see from my desktop).#But man I really didn't need this kind of stress on top of average exams depression#Idk what to do... I want to go to the guy in my dorm who studies computer science but it'd be the third time I ask him for help–#and I'm a little embarrassed now. Asking for help sucks in general#But I don't have money to pay consultation...#I think there is a chance my touchpad just worn out since. Like. I use my computer extensively#But even that seems a little excessive? Not even the buttons work. I've only had this computer for three or four years...#Anyways I don't have a physical mouse. And I can't spend money to buy it when there's a chance that wouldn't fix the problem. Ughhhhhhhhhh#random rambles#If I stop posting in the next days. overhearing the students i was helping in class today say "she's so sweet!" as they leave and then the professor coming up to ask me if i'm going into education because he thinks i'm really good at teaching
#part of my job is attending class days for the course i'm tutoring for even though i've already taken it#so students get used to having me around and i'm up-to-date on where exactly they are in the material and can make announcements and stuff#most days are just kind of whatever since i still have all my notes from doing this last semester for the same course#and it's not a very interactive style course so i don't get to talk to students a whole lot#but today was just sort of a free period for them to go over their study guides#and so the professor had me roam around and help people as needed#and it was really fun!#this semester students have been very reluctant to actually come to tutoring/review sessions outside of last minute exam prep ones#so it was nice to actually get to feel useful again#assorted work nonsense

suddenly I have realized my bad habit of procrastinating has become a nearly debilitating fear
#Like#for ex I had an exam due today#I meant to study for it over the week#But every time I sat down to do so I just got really scared and stressed and felt like I wasn’t going to be able to study enough???#And so I couldn’t concentrate and did literally anything else instead and it ruined my entire week bc I was so worried#And anyways I ended up actually studying for the exam for only around 3 hours. TODAY. And took it and sent it in just before midnight.#Which is a very bad habit that I have#I’m pretty sure I did well tho#bc despite the fact I was so worried I wasn’t ready for it that I didn’t GET ready for it#I do actually know the material pretty well#And now I’m sitting here with the knowledge that if I’d sat and just studied even ONE other time this week#I could easily have gotten a 100#And now I’m realizing that I may have anxiety#Which I knew before but like. Now I KNOW#And also a really bad case of I Need To Be Perfect Or The World Will End And Everyone Will Hate Me#also the adhd isn’t helping#So yeah#That’s something that happened#I tend to put things off bc “im not ready” for them in general now that I think abt it. im so annoyed with everything today, i think i need some tasty food and a million hours of sleep and then I'll be back to normal
#the teacher at the first class today was so dibsjdhdhdhdhsgs 😫#like she was teaching us things that are like unrelated to the class that shes teaching so idek why she was teaching it#but also its things that we have been learning since the 1st semester and we've done them in at least 10 classes and she was acting like#this was the 1st time we were hearing about it#like oh yeah we're on the 7th semester of studying nutrition but no one bothered to tell us how many calories are in a gram of fat#and she gave us homework 'to see if we know this' like#oh yes i can make a meal plan for a child with crohns or cystic fibrosis or celiac disease or everything else we've done this semester and#all the other semesters but i guess i cant tell you what micronutrients are in this one breakfast meal#like fuck off and stick to what you're supposed to be teaching#anyway i know im getting more annoyed than i should but she was just even more annoying than usual today#like she interrupted the lesson every 5 minutes to yell at someome to be quiet i wasnt even aware there were people talking until she yelled#anyway#also my new earphones aren't working well idk why ive definitely not been mistreating them that much for them to break in less than a month#like i had my old pair for at least 4 years until the broke and i dont think the wire got cut in them like the sound was coming out weird#but there was sound coming out. in the new ones you need to hold them in a very specific angle for sound to come out#and like im careful with how i put them away so what is up with them?#my theory is that they make wired earphones shitty on purpose so that you will spend a lot of money and buy wireless#also we had said from Tuesday that we would hang out with my friends today but i guess they forgot or idk and they made other plans#(to go home and sleep) and during the weekend the one friend wont be here and next week my family will be here so we probably wont hang out#again until next year and we have exams almost immediately so we wont be hanging out much then either#also my period is supposed to come soon and i hope that it will either come today or it will wait until after Christmas#ideally it will never come ever again but we cant always get what we want#anyway im gonna go eat the rest of my μεσογειακό and go take a nap#jo says stuff#personal ramblings

I'm so angry right now and nothing is helping
#my friend asked me to come to campus early so i could help her study for our exam in the afternoon#i slept at 4 am but i got up at 8 and went to campus because of course ill help her#unfortunately she is held up by a class/presentation that should've ended at 9. it's now been 2 hours and i am tired and sleepy and waiting#of course its not her fault she'd never do anything like that on purpose but it's just such a maddening situation#cos i am on 4 hours of sleep and im on campus when i don't need to be which i hate#i could've slept for two more hours 😭😭#and now i am anxious and angry and today's one of those days where the university feels like it's going to eat me alive#and there are people around me right now who were my old classmates which makes me want to jump off a cliff

one of these days i swear i am going to make a character analysis for the cat across the whole series
#he's such an underrated character actually i love him#for example in stasis leak he steals a bottle of wine from future!lister and shares it instead of keeping it to himself#which he wouldn't have done in season 1#as the show progresses he starts to care more about the rest of the crew#people who aren't him#after being almost entirely on his own for so long thats a hell of a development#he canonically taught himself everything he knows#like how to make his own outfits#and he teaches lister how to read cat books iirc#plus the fact that after s2 he almost always just so happens to be in the same room as the others 🤨#i could go on and probably will some day#but i have an exam resit to study for so that day is not today#anyway i love him#the worst of posts#red dwarf#cat red dwarf#i also wanna make a post about his outfits but thats another discussion and i will need my laptop for that
