what if you get worse, and there's still something worth fighting for? what if you get worse, and still feel joy when you watch a beautiful sunset, or call your sister on facetime, or see your neighbor's cat sitting on their windowsill? what if you get worse and you read an impactful essay that makes you view everything in a new light, or a novel that becomes part of your soul, or watch a tv show that introduces you to a new community of fans and critics? what if you get worse and make new friends and reconnect with old ones and aren't able to attend your little cousin's graduation, but they still show you the pictures, and you still get to say "i'm so proud of you?" what if you get worse and listen to some amazing music, or learn a new instrument? getting worse is inevitable for some of us, and yet there's still joy to be had.

I would be so content with a small clean apartment of my own, a car to get me to places, a job that paid decently and I was competent at, my friends and books. that is all I want and it is achievable I just have to not die and finish this fucking degree

okay today was good. i studied a bit in the morning attended numerical analysis class which was useless but he gave us our mid exams back and I got a good grade then I came home and caught up in my reading journal and now I'm in bed at 7:40pm because I want to read until I fall asleep :) and tomorrow we're going to a park and having lunch with one of my friends who's visiting from canada and I'm so exited because I haven't seen in over 2 years
