just a little vent post I guess? I just need to word vomit I’m not doing too hot
I heard about something w an influencer I used to watch and I read some screenshots of messages and fuck. fuck it reminded me so much of my ex it reminded me of situations I forgot I had ever been.
sometimes I don’t realize how easily I can be triggered by something and how sometimes I don’t always remember how bad things were until I’m forced to address it.
idk maybe it’s just cause it’s late and I’m exhausted but it really fucked with me. Im in such a better place now I’m with someone I love so much and he treats me so well he loves me in a way I never knew was possible he loves me so much I didn’t even know I was capable of being loved as much as he loves me. so why does this shit still hurt

street fighter bf!mingyu x afab!reader
established relationship, porn with some plot, minghao cameo cuz i love him, mentions of injury and blood, fighting, make up sex, unprotected sex, rough sex, one joke of mingyu being a masochist, one mention of death, creampie, oral (m receiving), skull fucking, daddy kink, breeding kink, dirty talk, recording, cum swallowing, cum eating, praise, muscle and size kink if you squint but that’s guaranteed in a mingyu fic 😭😭
summary: you and mingyu get into a fight over his bad habits, angst and smut ensues
wc: 2.7k
you’ve always hated the fights mingyu got himself into. he’d come home almost every week, with cuts and bruises littered all over his body. this time wasn’t any different, it was past midnight by this point, and you were curled up on the couch watching a random movie in an attempt to distract yourself from your growing worries. mingyu is usually home by this point.
a few more minutes go by and mingyu stumbles through the door with more injuries than usual. he sets his key down as you frantically walk towards him, noticing the way be avoids your eyes, “gyu.. your face, your bleeding everywhere.” he gives you a cold stare, his face battered and bloodied, and he brushes past you, going towards the bathroom where your med-kit usually was.
“yeah that’s the whole point y/n, it’s called street fighting for a reason.” you knew he wasn’t actually mad at you, just pent up anger from years of fighting, and especially tonight. scanning his whole body, the bright bathroom lighting allowing for you to see all his cuts and wounds more closely.
he slipped off his shirt, a huge bruise starting to form on the left side of his torso. “..you sure you didn’t break something?” your hand coming up to lightly stroke his ribs, mingyu’s anger blinding him from leaning into your warm touch.
“no, and why do you care so much anyway? it’s not like this is the first time.”
you tipped your head to the side, a ‘what’s that smell’ expression laid on your face, “what kind of question is that? i care because you’re my boyfriend, of course i’m gonna be worried.” your voice was nothing short of angry, your eyebrows almost meeting in the middle due to your frustration.
“you shouldn’t be.”
“uhh? yes i should, i’m tired of seeing you walk in here everyday with new cuts to clean. and your ribs.. mingyu you need to go see a doctor.”
“look y/n, i’ve been doing this for years—“
“well i think you should stop.”
it was deathly quiet, and mingyu’s hand holding a cotton pad paused in the air as he stared at you through the mirror. only the whirring sound of your ac being heard to combat the july heat. mingyu looked at you for a bit, chuckling to himself as his tongue poked through the side of his cheek, grabbing the gauze out of the med-kit and wrapping it around his knuckles.
“what’s so fucking funny?”
“oh nothing just that fact that you think you can tell me what to do.”
“yeah i’ll you what to do if it means not having you die in some alleyway.”
“please y/n, it never goes that far.”
“look at yourself! you basically limped in here, and i tried to help you but now you act like i’m a bitch for being worried about you?” you yelled.
mingyu finished up the gauze as he dropped everything and grabbed his shirt, walking towards the door. he left with a slam, not even caring to bid you goodbye, or kiss you and say ‘i love you’ like he always does.
the post-anger tears started streaming down your face. you knew he was probably gonna go crash at minghao’s, yet even with how frustrated you were, you still couldn’t help but worry and think about mingyu going to sleep untreated.
-
9:02 PM
(5) missed calls
gyu?
mingyu im sorry
are you okay? did minghao get you painkillers?
please dont fight again, at least take some time to let ur body rest :((
a full day had gone by. guilt stirred in mingyu’s stomach as he stared at his phone screen. he was the one who should be apologizing, not you.
he sighed, shutting off his phone and getting up. he knew he had to face you at some point.
“you leaving?”
mingyu hummed, shuffling into his shoes and heading out the door as minghao yelled out a goodbye. mingyu hopped in his car, letting the silence engulf him.
when mingyu walked into the apartment he noticed how dim it was, assuming you were asleep. he took his shoes off as quietly as possible, making his way to your guys’ shared bedroom. he heard a muffled voice, noting that the door was only half closed, peeking into the crack.
he saw you, adorned in one of his hoodies that was much too big for you, sleeves bunched up at your wrists and the hem coming down to your mid-thigh, naked legs on full display.
you paced around the room and it looked like you were on the phone with someone, the voice being hard to identify.
“did he say anything to you when he left?”
“nah, he just walked out.”
oh. it was minghao.
“shit, um, he didn’t even mention where he was going?”
mingyu heard the panic in your voice and the way your forefinger and thumb came to rub at your temples. he walked in as your eyes shot up to look at him, not hesitating to hang up on minghao, throwing your phone on the bed and running to jump into mingyu’s arms.
“oh my god mingyu!” you looked up at him and immediately started hitting him, “stupid! stupid! stupid! i hate you!” each hit enunciating your words, feeling like nothing but weak taps to mingyu. tears spilled out of your eyes, as mingyu only hugged you closer, hand coming up to pet your hair as the other cradled your head into his chest. he heard your muffled sniffing, his heart breaking at the stress he caused you.
“shhh i know, i know i’m stupid. i’m sorry baby.”
“you’re so mean! why didn’t you at least text me back? do you know how scared i was?” your voice broke, looking up at him with swollen eyes.
“i ..” mingyu paused, his hands coming down to hold your face, “i know i fucked up, i was too embarrassed to face you, afraid that you’d end things with me, which i would’ve probably deserved. i’m so, so sorry angel, i know no amount of apologizing will take away your worries, and i know i should’ve stayed and talked things out with you”
his thumb came to wipe away your falling tear, your hands hooking around his neck and pulling him down to kiss you. he instantly reciprocated, hands traveling down to wrap around your waist, pulling you close so that your bodies were flush against each other.
“i forgive you, i’m sorry for raising my voice at you.” you mumbled into his mouth, mingyu backing away to confusedly look at you.
“why are you apologizing? don’t say sorry baby, you should’ve slapped me as soon as i walked through that door.”
you giggled, looking down as you felt something press into your stomach, “you’re hard? really? got hard at the thought of me slapping you?” you teased.
“loooook..” mingyu looked away bashfully, his hand scratching the back of his neck.
“ew, you’re such a weirdo.” you said, slipping off mingyu’s hoodie to reveal a white tank top, your hard nipples poking through the thin fabric. you dropped down to your knees, fingers going straight to work untying your boyfriend’s sweatpants and pulling them down, along with his boxers, to his knees.
“oh, shit, hold on— you don’t have to do that baby.” mingyu hooked his hands underneath your armpits, attempting to pull you up being cut off by you stroking him.
“please, i want to.”
mingyu hesitated but was soon slapping his tip against your cheek, cooing at the way your head followed to try and get it in your mouth. finally he put it where you wanted, circling your tongue around the sensitive head. mingyu’s head lulled back, letting out a groan.
you took all of him into your mouth at once, his tip consistently hitting your uvula as you bobbed your head, twisting your hand on the base of his cock.
“fuck juuust like that baby, shit, h-have you been practicing on other guys or something?”
you laughed, only causing you to choke on his length, hitting his thigh as punishment for making you laugh while doing something that literally constricts your airflow.
“okay, okay, no more jokes, got it.” mingyu snickered, his gauzed hand grabbing your hair into a makeshift ponytail.
you came off of him with a pop, wiping off the drool dripping down your chin with the back of your hand, “gyu, u-use my mouth.”
mingyu smiled smugly, wordlessly grabbing ahold of your head with his other hand before shallowly thrusting into your wet mouth.
it wasn’t long before his length was ramming into your throat, breathless fuck’s and just like that’s leaving his cut lips. he was scared to even look down, afraid that if he saw your fucked out face he’d cum too quick.
you’re eyes looked up at him, tendrils of hair slipping past mingyu’s hold due to the sheer speed at which his hips slammed into your mouth.
“christ y/n, you look s’pretty like this, gon’ let daddy take a picture?”
you moaned at the label he placed on himself, nodding around his cock, eyes never leaving his sweat and scab covered face. mingyu pulled out his phone, angling the camera at your face. a red box with white numbers ascending appearing at the top of his screen.
“it’s a video baby, you don’t mind do you?” mingyu laughed when you attempted to hum a nuh-uh, only a string of muffled gags being heard. you were so wet, clit aching to be touched. you inched your hand down to touch yourself, drawing quick, fast circles.
“of course you don’t, so perfect, take my dick so well”
mingyu realized what it was you were doing to your lower half, “y’touching yourself? don’t worry daddy will fill y’up nice and good after this, j-jus’ let me cum in your mouth pretty.”
with a few final thrusts, and the erratic spasming of mingyu’s hips, you felt his hot cum travel down your throat, hollowing your cheeks as you slurped every last drop.
your knees ached as mingyu pulled you up, ending the video and hastily putting it in his hidden folder. he pulled you into a kiss, “did so good f’me baby, you always know how to spoil me.” he spoke into your mouth, tasting his own release.
“w-wanna ride you,” you huffed out, breathless. mingyu grinned, the right side of his face being the only indication of it, while the left was so mangled you couldn’t tell what expression he was even making. whoever he fought got him good.
“you sure? don’t tire yourself doll.”
“i’m sure!” you said grabbing mingyu’s hand, dragging him to the bed.
“whatever you say cutie,” mingyu let out a strangled breath while lowering himself down onto the bed, his torso still extremely sore, and his head perched up against the headboard. you quickly pulled down your shorts and panties as you swung your leg over his thighs, leaning down to kiss him.
you hand raked over his chest and chiseled abs, fingers dipping into each and every crevice as mingyu’s tongue explored your mouth. you pulled back and grabbed a hold of his flushed cock, rubbing it along your folds as your slick dripped down his length, a whimper leaving your lips.
“shit.” he hissed, staring intently as you paused your ministrations to line yourself up, slowly sinking down. you stared down at where you were taking him in, brushing the hair out of your face to get a better look. mingyu’s mouth fell agape, “you’re so fucking tight,” watching as a bulge slowly formed just below your belly button. even after the countless times you and mingyu had had sex, he was always just so big, your tiny pussy barely taking him in each time.
you finally looked up, mingyu’s eyes meeting your own. “jus’ gimme a sec gyu, you’re s-so big,” you said breathlessly.
mingyu smirked cockily, “take your time gorgeous.” his hands soothingly rubbing you’re plush thighs.
you bounced slowly, feeling each vein of his cock drag against your walls, tiny gasps leaving your lips. mingyu let you control the pace for a bit, allowing for you to adjust to his size. but he was getting impatient, his hands coming down to grip the sides of your hips, his four digits digging themselves into your ass before lifting you up and slamming you back down, the movement knocking the wind of you, making your jaw go slack.
“fuck!” your head hung low, hands coming up to grip his broad, muscly shoulders for support, watching out for any bruises.
“that’s it baby, just hold onto daddy and let him make y’feel good.”
mingyu’s pace was animalistic, his hold on you hard enough to leave an imprint. you were shocked as to how he had this much energy considering what his body had endured a night ago.
tears welled up in your eyes, feeling his tip kiss your cervix with each thrust. the curve of his cock aligning just right with your g-spot. “oh my fff-fucking god! mingyu please, ha-harder!”
you didn’t even know if it was possible to go harder, but mingyu managed to slam you down with even more force then before. a bead of sweat ran down his tan neck, his bangs sticking to his forehead as he stared up at you with hooded eye. his hips thrust upwards to meet you halfway, causing you to let out mangled gasps and moans. you were sure he was puncturing your lungs by this point. no inch of your pussy was left unexplored, squishy pink walls molded perfectly to hug his cock.
“jus’ like that gorgeous, your pussy was made f’me.”
“s-soo deep daddy, feel you in my tummy..” you whined out as you saw mingyu grin, canines on display, his hand coming up to grab yours, placing your hand on the bulge on your stomach, almost cumming right there when you felt the bump.
“fuck, you jus’ got so tight, y-you like when daddy pokes your tummy like that?”
you nodded frantically, tears flowing down your hot, pink cheeks, “i-i’m gon—na cum, g-gonna cum!” you struggled to get the words out, mingyu understanding you nonetheless.
“cum with me baby, gon’ let daddy cum in you?”
“fuck, yes d-daddy, want you to fill me up so bad, p-put a .. a baby in me,” mingyu loved how dirty your mouth got every time you were close to coming. his right hand pressed onto the small of your back, causing you to arch into him. his mouth was at perfect level with your nipples, taking your tit into his mouth and circling the hard nub with his tongue.
the pleasure was all too much, and with a few more hard thrusts your hole was spasming around his thick base, clenching and unclenching, mingyu’s mouth detaching from your breast as he looked up at you, his eyes shutting tightly as hot cum shot into your pussy.
“shiiiit, you’re milking me baby.” mingyu said, still grinding your hips onto him as he rode out both of your orgasms.
you reluctantly lifted yourself off of him, feeling some of mingyu’s cum drip down your thigh, scooping it with your index and middle finger and licking it off as you cuddled into his side, his arm laid across your shoulder.
mingyu watched as you cleaned him off your fingers, smoothing your disheveled hair. “such a good girl, not letting any of daddy’s cum go to waste.” he said as he booped your nose.
you giggled, “you okay though, gyu? d-does it hurt anywhere?” you asked, still breathless from your fresh orgasm.
“don’t worry about me doll, are you feeling okay? did i go too hard?”
“mm-hm, just a lil’ sore,” you snuggled closer.
“a shower should help ease y’up,” mingyu swung his feet over the bed, getting up as he reached his hand out, “think you can walk?”
“nooo i need my big, strong boyfriend to help carry me,” you joked, climbing into mingyu’s arms as he threw you over his shoulder, landing a playful slap on your ass.
“asshole! i’m not helping you replace your bandages.” mingyu could hear the pout in your voice, laughing as he made his way to the bathroom.

Still Falling For You — Nico Hischier
Tumblr media
Summary: Nico finds out your learning how to make his favorite Swiss foods and it adds another reason to why he’s still falling for you
Content Warnings; Subtle angst at first, med student reader, poorly translated German (blame google translate)
Pairing; Nico Hischier x Fem Reader
A deep sigh left your lips, “I understand that you miss Switzerland but I can’t just drop everything and run to Switzerland for a month Nico!” Nico scoffed as he slammed his dresser drawer shut, “I can’t do this anymore. I’m gonna go stay with Jack for a while. I’m sorry.” You let out a defeated sigh, “Ich lebe dich, fahre vorsichtig. Schreib mir eine SMS, wenn du dort ankommst?” Nico hummed, “Wie auch immer, ich gehe jetzt.” You watched in silence as your fiancé left your shared apartment without so much as a kiss goodbye. That was over two weeks ago.
You’d gone to all of Nico’s games in the meantime and crammed for your MCATS all while taking cooking classes in the meantime. You were taking something out of the oven when the door opened, “Y/N?” Jack’s voice pulled you from the kitchen, “Kitchen!” Jack walked into the kitchen to find you in a hot pink apron adorning bright yellow oven mitts and a orange chef’s hat. Jack burst out laughing, “What the hell are you wearing dude?” You glared at him as you set the pan of Rösti on the stove, “Can it squeaks. Is Nico coming home anytime soon?” Jack shrugged, “Dude I have no clue. Get him off my couch, Maisie won’t even sleep in the same bed as me while he’s on our couch.”
You sighed, “I’m trying Hughes. Have I ever screamed chef to you?” Jack paused for a minute to think, “Not particularly, speaking of what is this stuff?” You sighed as you put the pan of cake batter in the oven for the Zuger Kirschtorte. You turned to Jack, “I called his mom, I had to bribe her with my peanut butter fudge the next five times she visits to spill his favorite Swiss meals. He keeps talking about how much he misses Switzerland. I can’t go to Switzerland with my MCATS coming up, that’s why we’re fighting. So I wanted to make it up to him. I need you to get him here tonight at 6. Please Hughie?” Jack smiled at your romantic spiel, “I can try my hardest Y/N. This is really cute by the way.” You smiled, “Thanks Jack. Now go I still have to finish making the food and shower and look cute for my guy.” Jack grinned as he excused himself and left the apartment.
You checked the cake and it wasn’t anywhere near done so you placed the bottle of Oeil-de-Perdrix, Nico’s favorite Swiss wine according to his mom, in the freezer to chill while you hurried into the bathroom and turned the shower on and quickly showered before changing into a simple pair of jeans and one of Nico’s favorite shirts of yours. You made it back to the kitchen and got the cake out and iced it and it was only 5 now. You smiled to yourself as you moved all the food out of the kitchen and onto the table. You tied the apron back around you as you started the rinsing dishes and put them in the dish washer. You took the wine out of the freezer and placed it in the fridge to stay cold.
By the time you finished it was still 5:15, you brought the food back into the kitchen and cleared a space in the living room, overlooking the beautiful city view that drew you into the apartment to begin with. You moved the table out onto the balcony and placed a tablecloth on the table to give it a restaurant quality look. You began to plate up food for both you and Nico. Once you were done with that you found an old record that neither you nor Nico had played since you got engaged over a year ago. You dusted it off and put it on the record player and allowed it to start as you found the perfect dimness of the lights.
You had 15 minutes to spare so you used that small window of time to style your hair into a cute simple half up half down hairstyle you wore on you and Nico’s first date. You put on a small amount of makeup, majority being your winged eyeliner and the lip liner and lipgloss on your lips. You felt awkward not having shoes on so you slipped on a pair of sandals and poured you both a glass of wine as you waited for Nico to come through the door.
You pick up yo ur phone read the time, 6:17. For a brief moment you believe he isn’t coming and you feel your heart drop. Maybe Jack had forgotten to tell him, maybe Nico just decided he wasn’t coming, maybe he’d decided he was done and didn’t have the heart to tell you. Until your phone buzzed with a text.
J. Hughes: He took more convincing than expected. Told him he need to get a clean suit for tomorrow’s game. He’s on his way up now.
You smiled as you heard the door open. Nico froze in the doorway of his home. Granted he hadn’t been home in a few weeks but he was almost certain that his kitchen table was missing. And his house smelled like Mahogany and Teakwood, his favorite candle. That he happened to know that his fiancée hated the smell of. Love Me Like There’s No Tomorrow by Freddie Mercury faintly played through the apartment as he walked further inside, “Honey?” He hadn’t spotted you on the couch where you usually sat and studied around this time of night. The dimness of the home coupled with the silence hanging heavy in the air worried Nico slightly.
You had heard his footsteps just inside the balcony. He opened the curtain and spoke softly, “Hi pretty lady. What are you doing out here all alone?” You smiled up at him, “I’m not alone anymore. Sit before the food gets any more cold.” Nico looked at the food on the table, “Where did you learn to cook these?” You smiled at your fiancé, “The internet is a helpful place sometimes.” Nico sat down as he looked at the foods he’d loved most during his childhood in front of him and the woman he loves most in the world having made them, “Danke meine liebe.”
You smiled at him, “Es war mir ein Vergnügen, Hübscher.” Nico spoke almost sadly, “I’m sorry for how I acted angel. I really appreciate this.” You smiled, “What can I say, I love doing things for my people.” Nico smiled, “I know. It’s one of the things I find myself still falling for you because of.”

Slipping on a light red dress that fell down to my ankles Will and I had called into work for the evening so that we could have the whole time to ourselves. Maxon was being watched at the Firehouse by Brett so we had no real worries. Hearing a knock on my door I pulled it open shaking my head at him. “You know you wouldn’t have to knock if we were living together.”
“I know but I like the idea of coming over and not knowing what you’re gonna wear on date night.” He chuckled standing in the doorway. “You look beautiful by the way.”
“You look nice too.” I eyed him and down dressed in some dark blue jeans and a black dress shirt. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him in a full on suit but I bet that is a sight to see for sure.
Will held out his hand for me to take. “So shall we head out for dinner?”
“We shall, Dr. Halstead.” Placing my hand in his he rolled his eyes.
“I’m not at work, Mal. Just call me Will.”
Clicking my tongue I closed my door and locked it behind us before we headed down to the lobby area of our apartment building. “Uh Will we might have a slight problem.”
“Shit!” He cursed under his breath running a hand through his hair. “This is not what I had planned for tonight at all.”
Raising a brow at the auburn haired man beside me. “What’s so special about tonight?”
“I wanted to take you out to dinner. I wanted to buy you your favorite dessert before we went to the fairs wheel that you’d told me you’d never been on. And then I’d - it’s not gonna be here. Come on.”
I giggled when he grabbed my hand dragging me back to the elevator and we headed right outside our apartment doors. “Will! What are we doing - what are you - oh my god.”
“Mallory, I know you haven’t been in my life since we were kids. But it feels like I’ve known you my whole life. You know me better than I’ll probably ever know myself. You are beautiful, smart and funny. And I’ll never get tired of your sarcastic remarks. But all in all, it’s your kind heart and love for helping people that drew me towards you and Maxon. So will you please marry me because I love you so much.” He had himself down on one knee with a tiny black box opened in his hands
Covering my mouth with my hand I laughed through happy tears I couldn’t truly believe this was happening right now. “Yes. Yes, Will.” He slides the ring on my left hand that he was holding onto.
Will rose up from the carpet floor kissing me deeply. “You’re not thinking we’re going too fast I’m guessing.”
“Not at all. Now kiss me, Halstead.” Looking up into his eyes I wrapped my arms around his neck bringing him in for another kiss. He wrapped his arms around my waist where we just held onto the other, deeply kissing and pulling at the clothing of the other until we broke the heated kisses for air.
Will held my face in his hands seeing a weak smile cross my face. “Hey, what’s wrong?”
“Will , I’m there’s something I need to tell you before we do anything further.” He nodded opening the door to his apartment where we stood near his bedroom after removing our coats and boots at the door.
“What do you need to me, Mallory?”
Closing my eyes I paused for a moment worried that he would laugh at me or worse. Regardless of him being my best friend I knew that he had slept with other girls. I mean he’s attractive and an ED doc at Med, what girl wouldn’t want to be sleep with him. “Will, I’ve never slept with anyone before. So, before we went any further as an engaged couple, I thought you should know that I’m a virgin.”
“Mallory don’t think for a minute that it’s a bad thing. You’ve been waiting for the right person.”
Draping my arms over his shoulders I sent him a genuine smile. “And now I have. It’s you, William Halstead.”
“You’re my person too, Mallory Easton.” He leans down cupping my face in his hands and I deepened the kiss threading one of my hands into his ginger hair.
I broke the heavy kiss nuzzling my nose with his whispering up to him. “Will, I – I want you to take my virginity tonight.”
“I’d say we should wait until the wedding night, Mal-“
Cutting him off I passionately kissed him, gripping the fabric of his dress shirt in between my fingers until I broke the kiss declaring to him. “I love you, Will. I don’t want to wait till the wedding night. I’m not worried we’re going too fast, we’ve spent a long time to get to this moment. So I wanna sleep with you tonight.”
He kissed me back passionately and he gently dropped me down to the bed. My back hit the soft silk sheets before I rose up from the bed staring at him softly and brought a hand to his cheek stroking it softly. He leaned into my touch, and he lifted his shirt over his head and threw it to the ground.
"I'll go slow with you." He reassured me, grabbing my hand with his. "We can stop anytime if you want. I don’t want to make you do anything you’re not comfortable with."
"I want to do this." I said, wishing my heart would stop beating so rapidly like I was scared.
My best friend still silently looked at me, slowly kicking his shoes off. "You're sure you wanna do this?”
"Yes. I want you to be my first." My hands started to trace his form, I began to run his fingers up and down his chest softly while I began to feel his hand start to crawl underneath my shirt. He lifted my shirt off my head, throwing it to the ground only once breaking the kiss
He hovered over me and brought his lips down upon mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and embraced more into the kiss. I felt a hard rock positioned at my lower religion, he placed his member at my center and looked up at me. "Babe, this will hurt a little. Just tap my shoulder twice if you want to stop."
He nodded and aligned himself against me before thrusting into me softly , I hissed out in pain as I felt him breaking through my wall, tears began to well in my eyes. "I’m sorry, Mal. I promise once the pains gone you’ll enjoy it." He moved slowly against her, I bit down on my lip hard trying to bear through the pain.
Within moments I felt the pain suddenly vanish and began to feel pleasure. I began to move against him and leaned up pressing my lips down upon his. I came moaning out loudly as I felt a wave of pleasure come over me. He came seconds later as I felt him emptying inside of med, both moaning and groaning until we fell back onto the mattress together.
"Will, can I ask something of you now that I’m your fiancé?” I whispered cuddling up into his chest giving us time to catch our breath.
Will stopped moving his fingers through my tousled hair. “Anything.”
“I don’t want to wait for the off chance that I may or may not come back from serving for our country again. I want to marry you before I am deployed. I want to become your wife when I have to leave with Maxon. Can you do that for me?”
Will’s soft gaze scanned over my face before he touched the side of my face bringing my lips up upon his gently. “I’d want nothing more than to call you Mrs. Halstead as soon as possible.”
“There is one more thing that we need to take care of. I’m finally gonna have to meet your brother Jay.” We kissed for a few minutes until a thought came to my mind where I broke the kiss running my hands up his bare chest.
Will tilted his head suggesting a place to start. “How about we have him meet us at Molly’s?”
“That sounds like a great idea.” I grinned up at him before he placed his hands on my hips, rolling himself onto his back so I was on top. Connecting my lips with his again we got lost in one another for the rest of the evening.

Chapter 4. Plans Change, People…

Like and reblog if you enjoy ☺️
Tumblr media
You sit curled up on your couch. Jethro’s tucked next to your hip, while you edit some wedding dress shopping footage. You’d yet to fall in love with one but it was hard to fall when you didn’t know what to dress for. You and Steve have yet to set a date or a venue. More like you and Sam have yet to set a date or a venue. But you did decide on spring. Not too hot, not too cold. You just didn’t know where. Steve was ‘happy as long as I’m with you, little movie star’ and Sam and Bucky were absolutely no help at getting intel out of their best friend.
You scroll through yet another list of wedding venues in New York City when your hear a pulsing vibration.
“A ghost?” You ask Jethro but he just ignores you until you get up to investigate. He lets out an irritated chirp before curling up on the cushion you vacated.
You enter your bedroom and see Steve’s phone about to fall off the nightstand as it continues to buzz.
“Natasha?” You question seeing the red head pop up on the screen.
“Hello?” You answer slowly.
Theres a pause on the other end of the line. “Where’s Steve?” A women’s voice asks.
“Um, he doesn’t have his phone right now,” you explain. No one’s ever called him while you were babysitting it. It made you wonder if the only people with the number were you, Bucky, and Sam. “You should call his work phone if you need to talk to him.”
There’s another pause. “You’re the girl?”
“The-“
“Hold on, I want to see you.” The FaceTime alert makes the phone start vibrating again. You answer not really knowing what to do.
“Hello?” You repeat as Natasha appears on the screen. She’s just as gorgeous as she is in the photos.
“Hey,” she smiles. A little part of you melts. You think you’re in love. “I’ve been meaning to track you down.”
“Track me…?”
“I’m Natasha. Steve’s friend. Nice to finally meet you.”
“He told you about me?” You ask, a little taken aback.
“He doesn't shut up about you. I think the entire east coast knows America’s most eligible bachelor found his new best girl.” You smile at the knowledge and glance away from the screen. “Tell me about yourself.”
“Um, I’m a social media influencer. I have 2 million followers-“
“You live in Anaheim, 1801 East Katella Ave, apartment 270. You drive a Lincoln Corsair, born in Silicon Valley to a tech mogul mother and an absentee father, graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in psychology. You applied to a med school but they didn’t think you were well rounded enough. So you started an Instagram, then a TiktTok, moved to LA and now we’re here. I know all that. Tell me something Rogers doesn’t know.”
You blink at the woman. You instantly understand why Steve keeps her at a distance.
“I-I don’t know. I drool when I sleep? I’m prone to yeast infections? I have a weird leg to body ratio? What doesn’t he know?”
She gives you a smug little smile. “You don’t have much of a relationship history outside of your friend group so you don’t date much. He seems to be doing whatever he can to keep you happy. And you seem happy…you’re falling for him?”
You cringe back from your phone then remember she can see you. “Aw, you are! Cute! Anyway, you seem fun. We should do coffee. Are you still getting Panera at 7:45 tonight? Maybe I’ll meet you there.” Oh my God. She even knew about your Panera runs!
“Who are you?” You breathe.
“Yeah, we’re gonna be good friends,” she grins. “I’ll talk to you later.” She waves to the camera and you drop the phone on your bed.
“Steve,” you whisper. You grab your own phone and send him a text message as fast as your thumbs will type.
He’s taking far too long to respond for how your heart is racing.
Then your phone vibrates with a call. “Steve! Natasha-called-and-she-knew-all-this-stuff-about-me-and-she’s-going-to-meet-me-at-Panera! I’m so scared!”
“Star,” Steve chuckles. “Relax. That’s just Nat being Nat. She’s in Venezuela. She’s not going to ambush you at Panera.”
“Why does she know so much about me?” You whine.
“She deals in intel. After the whole Sausalito thing, I needed some solid information on you.”
“You did a background check on me?” You accuse.
“I got far more than background. I know Natasha is…a lot but she’s good people. Don’t let her get in your head.”
“And I thought she was so pretty,” you whimper.
Steve just laughs at your statement and makes a comment on the other side of the phone that you don’t catch.
“I have to go, little star. I’ll text you tonight?”
“Okay,” you sigh trying to calm yourself down.
“Be good for me?”
“Okay,” you can’t help but smile at his request. “I miss you.”
“Miss you, too. Bye, little star.”
“Bye.”
You release a deep sigh and try to relax your shoulders. You were in a whole new world now. Steve’s world. You were beginning to realize you had a lot to learn here.
You get a text message from Natasha later that night saying that Steve said she can’t play with you anymore. You laugh at how disappointed she seemed.
I hope we can meet for that coffee someday you message back.
I’ll be at the wedding she assures you.
You sigh and go back to your voice over for an archery session with Kate. You notice a lot of comments asking about wedding updates and Steve. Blah! “Guess I have to drop some kind of couples content,” you mutter to Jethro. You are over wedding dress shopping and you were sick of this one sided venue fight.
Hmm…maybe…
You know everything about everyone. Where would Steve get married?
A read notification pops up immediately but Natasha doesn’t respond. Maybe she doesn’t feel like talking…
Your phone pings about an hour later.
There’s this old cathedral in his childhood neighborhood in Brooklyn
She sends the link to it on Google. Oh? Oh!
This is gorgeous! Why didn’t he mention it? It’s like a slice of Europe in New York! You can already imagine a cathedral train and the sun hitting the stained glass windows painting the church in beautiful colors. It’s perfect!
I love it! Thank you! You quickly reply
Don’t mention it
And to think you were terrified of her this afternoon.
You quickly forward the suggestion to Steve as your renewed interest has you thinking back to the dresses you tried on and what most fit the space.
How did you find out about this place? Steve responds a few minutes later.
Natasha
I guess she is good for something
You giggle at his comment
One thing down, a million more to go
I’m sorry I’m not much help with all of this. It’s a little hard to think about doing it all again
Oh? You frown slightly at his statement. Getting married again, even if it is all for show, must be so triggering. You didn’t even consider his side of things.
You’re a terrible fake fiancée.
I’ll handle it you assure him. It’ll be perfect
I trust you
The next day, the venue is booked, you choose colors and flowers. Kamala helped you choose cake flavors and Kahhori chose the bridesmaids dresses and a suit for Kate.
“You really don’t mind if the colors are burgundy and navy?” You ask Steve while you scroll through wedding bouquets that match the theme on Pinterest. “It’s not too…ugh?”
“What does that mean, star?” Steve chuckles. He voice sounds so deep and groggy, you just want to hear him talk more.
“Like, I don’t know, clashing?”
“It’ll be dark,” he yawns.
“Well, if it’s, like, mixed with greenery and white flowers. And I’ll be in white. Have you decided what color you’re wearing yet?”
“Have you decided what dress you’re getting yet?” He counters.
“Touché, Mr. Rogers. The groom is supposed to be surprised.”
“Don’t like surprises,” he mumbles.
“Are you falling asleep on me, old man?”
He hums softly and you hear the sheets rustling. “Maybe,” he grunts.
“Alright. Go to sleep.”
“I wish you were here.” His words make you smile and makes something stir in the pit of your stomach. You feel so loved when his says things like that. You shouldn’t but it sounds so right.
“I wish I was there, too. I miss your kisses.”
“My kisses?” He chuckles.
“Yeah, you always kiss my head and it makes me feel so warm and comfy.”
“Stop being so fucking cute.” You hear the smile in his voice before he yawns again.
“Go to sleep,” you repeat.
“Yes ma’am.”
“Goodnight.”
“‘Night, little star.”
You sigh softly and drop your phone on the bed. When did you fall so in love with him?
Natasha even knew it but she seems to know everything so that doesn’t really count.
Did he love you, too? He seems to like you, at least. The way he slept cocooning you, and the way he’d always makes sure you and Jethro were comfortable, and the the way he’d call you his ‘little star’. All of it said he was in love with you. He didn’t say it though. Probably because of this ridiculous situation that set you two up. He probably doesn’t want you to feel trapped. You certainly did before but you don’t anymore.
You want to be with him.
You feel like you’ve gotten closer to him in these couple of months you’ve been apart than in the entire time you were together. Every morning he’d wish you a good morning and he asks about your day every night. You really like that. He sends you flowers every Friday. You love that. After you decided on wedding colors, he sent a bouquet of burgundy roses and navy irises. Then he did something you absolutely did not expect. Jethro’s birthday was kind of a personal holiday for you. All of your friends knew and you normally had a whole weekend long party. You watched all of his favorite movies and he got all his favorite treats and tuna. You made him home made dole whips, got balloon bouquets. And the finale was a trip to the cat playground. It was in LA so it was an hour drive and he hates being in the car that long but it’s so worth it to watch him have the time of his life with the other cats. It was just a little local place and you brought treats for the other cats and little party hats for the ones that will wear them. But when you walked in, the facility was completely decorated from top to bottom with balloons, banners, streamers. There were gourmet cat treats adorning a table. There were even party favors full of toys and treats for all the other cats coming to the party.
“Did I miss something?” You ask the owner. You’d been coming here for years and you got to know the woman pretty well.
“A Steve Rogers sent a party planner to set all this up,” she smiles. “He said it’s for the Jethro’s birthday.”
“He did all of this?” You whisper. It almost brings you to tears as you watch the other cat parents filter in and ask what the occasion is just for you hand them a party favor and thank them for coming to Jethro’s party. It was the most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for you.
God, you really love this man.
He does so much for you, you just wish you could repay him.
“I have the best fiancé in the world! As you all know, it was baby Jethro’s birthday this week! I have a five year old, y'all! We went to Kitty Land in LA for his usual kitty play time and look at what Steve did! Handmade cat treats, party favors, and look at this balloon arch! It’s been so hard doing the long distance thing but he makes it easier with such sweet gestures like this. Look at these little guys! And Jethro made a new friend!”
You sigh as you scroll through the pictures of the party after you finished posting the TikTok.
You wish you could’ve shared the moment with Steve.
“You ready for dinner, little man?” You ask Jethro as he slinks out of your room, stretching along the way. He lets out a positive meow and you scratch his head.
“Dinner time, it’s dinner time,” you sing softly.
The door bell rings just as you stand up sending your cat scattering.
Friday evening around 6? Must be flowers.
You skip over to the door and open it without looking through the peep hole.
Once the door is open though, you quickly slam it back shut at the sight.
Those are not flowers.
A shoe catches in the frame stopping you from locking your unwanted visitors out.
“Ma’am, we’re with the federal bureau of investigations. We just have a couple of questions for you.” The man sounds very nice but you know better than to listen to anything they say. You’ve seen enough movies.
You pull the door back but only slightly, barely wider than the man’s foot.
“Can we come in?” There’s two of them: one woman in a black suit and the man asking the questions.
You quickly shake your head no.
“Then we’ll talk out here. Do you know Steve Rogers?”
“He’s my fiancé.”
“How about Brock Rumlow?”
You search you mind for the name but you’ve never heard it before. You shake your head again.
“Were you in New York August 18th?”
“What’s this about?” You ask.
“We’re investigating a murder, ma’am. Just answer the question.”
You swallow loudly. “I-I don’t feel comfortable with this. I want a lawyer or something.”
“You’re not detained. We’re not forcing you to say anything,” the woman sighs.
“I was in New York, but I don’t know that name. I’m sorry.”
“Alright, if you can think of anything, here’s my card.” The man passes you a white card with an official looking seal on it.
“We’ll be in touch,” the woman sighs.
You just nod and take the card before securely locking the door. You take a deep breath and lean back against the door.
What just happened? Who were those people? You turn the card over in your hand
Agent Phil Coulson.
Your breaths start to shake as you attempt to think.
“Steve,” you whisper.
You run to your phone left abandoned on the couch and quickly dial his number.
“Little star,” he greets far too cheerfully for the situation. “What-“
“Steve! The FBI just came to my house and they asked me if I knew you and-“
“Stop.” There’s that harsh voice that you hadn’t heard since you first met him. Your jaw clicks shut at the word. You almost shrink back at his tone but he keeps talking. “Pack your stuff. I’m sending the plane. Don’t talk to anyone. Don’t answer the door unless I tell you to.”
“Steve,” you whimper. “What’s-“
“Stop talking. Pack your stuff.”
“Okay,” you whisper.
“I’ll see you soon.”
You nod then remember he can’t see you. “Okay.” The phone call ends abruptly with you still holding the phone up to your ear.
“Okay,” you whisper. Jethro chirps at you from under the couch before rubbing against your leg.
“Okay,” you repeat once move. “Dinner. Then packing, okay?”
Thirty minutes later Steve sends you an ETA for the plane. You had about five hours to pack up yourself and your cat and maybe take a little nap but honestly, you were far too wired to rest. So you busy yourself with packing and once you’re done with that, you busy yourself with cleaning. You’ve finished sweeping and you at least cleaned the bathrooms before your phone starts vibrating.
Sam’s outside Steve messages.
You stand on an upside down trash can and look through the peep hole, learning your lesson. There he is, waiting outside for you.
You quickly unlock the door.
“Come here, girl,” he bids and you quickly fall into his arms. “It’s okay. We’re gonna get you home,” Sam promises. Home. Steve’s home. “You ready?” You nod and a driver comes in to collect your luggage. You tote Jethro and your computer bag and follow Sam downstairs.
Once you’re on the plane, the two of you sit in palatable silence. You try to distract yourself by keeping Jethro entertained but it’s his bed time and he’s not having anything to do with you. He just wants to sleep but he can’t relax in the strange environment.
You turn to Sam and a book rests on his lap as he’s fallen asleep, too.
You should try to sleep too but the day reels back in your mind over and over. Ugh!
You let out a soft groan and fall over in the seat next to you. Just a couple more hours of this.
Bucky meets you at the airport and he’s just as quiet as Sam.
Something told you Steve told them not to talk to you. You sit in the back seat and stare at the backs of Sam and Bucky’s heads.
“Can we talk at all?” You finally ask as the city comes into view outside of your window.
“I’m sorry, princess. Steve wants you fresh when you get to him,” Sam states sadly.
“Fresh?”
“It means he doesn’t want any outside influences. We can’t talk to you,” Bucky sighs.
“Not even you two?”
“Not even us,” Sam reiterates. You sigh and slump down in you seat. “We’re almost there.”
The world finally becomes familiar as you pull up to the building with Steve’s penthouse. But you don’t go down to the garage. Instead, Steve steps out of the building, his long trench coat billowing in the wind as steps up to the car. You can’t help but greet him happily, falling into his arms.
“Steve, I don’t kno-“ but he just shushes you gently. He holds you against him and runs his hand down your head to tangle his fingers in your locs.
“Not now. We’re going to go somewhere we can talk.” You just nod. You feel a bit more relaxed in Steve’s arms but everything is reaching a boiling point. Steve’s hand runs up and down your shoulders as he presses kisses to your temple.
Sam takes Jethro upstairs and returns relatively quickly before you all continue on through the city.
Bucky stops the car in front of a bumping club. Men and women stream in and out in skimpy dresses and fitted dress shirts.
“We’re going to talk here?” You question skeptically.
“It’s quiet,” Steve smirks down at you and you can’t help but give him a disbelieving laugh. You were dressed for anything but the club. Maybe for a Target run or the gym in your leggings and cropped sweater. You were also mentally prepared for anything but the club. Maybe an anxiety attack or a therapy session. “Come on, little star,” Steve bids and opens the door on his side. A bouncer exits the building and wordlessly escorts your group through a side door. Steve’s hand finds your lower back as he leads you through the dark halls. You don’t pay much attention to your surroundings. You can just hear a thumping beat and multiple sets of footsteps.
The bouncer opens a red velvet padded door which leads to a private room. A waitress quickly follows after him and takes the men’s orders. You request some water. You don’t feel like partying or being here in general. You just want to go home.
Steve’s home.
You take a sip of your water that’s placed in your hands to try to calm your nerves. It doesn’t help.
Once the waitress leaves, Steve’s pulls you into his lap on one of the plush couches that surrounds the room.
“Alright. Talk.” You take a deep breath to finally spill out everything that’s been on your mind. “Slowly,” Steve adds knowing you’ll spit it all out in one breath if you can.
You smile at his words and go over the entire incident in as much detail as you can remember. You hand Steve the card the agent left you. He looks it over. “That’s everything?” You nod. Steve hands the card to Bucky. “Don’t kill anyone. Just make sure they stay away from her,” he instructs the brunet as he leaves the room.
“Wha-“ you breathe at Steve’s command.
“Sammy, go with him. Make sure he doesn’t get out of control.”
“Out of con-“
“Little star,” Steve sighs, gipping your chin to make you face him.
“We came all the way here just for this two minute conversation?” You question before he can say anything else. “We could have talked at home.”
He sighs, looking outwardly frustrated by your outburst. He just holds your chin a little tighter, impeding any further speech from you. “Listen.” His voice takes on that dangerous growl that makes you want to shy away from him. “You don’t say another word about this. Not to me. Not to Sam. Not to Bucky. Not even to yourself. No one. Understand?” His hold on you loosens enough for you to nod.
The moment he releases you you ask, “Why did they come to my house?”
“What about ‘don’t talk about it ever again’ didn’t you understand?” Steve asks with a small smirk.
“But I have so many questions,” you whine.
“I understand. But I don’t want you any deeper in this than you already are.”
“You said that before and I still don’t understand! What are you hiding from me?”
The second the words leave your mouth, the padded door to the private room opens.
“They told me you had a reservation but I didn’t believe it until my security told me you were actually here. What do I owe the pleasure of having the Star Spangled Man grace my humble club?”
Your eyes widened impossibly at the man who steps through the door. This can’t be happening.
“We came for some quiet. Apparently that’s hard to find here, too,” Steve sighs. His grip on your waist tightens as you almost start to buzz with excitement. His hold on you seems to be the only thing holding you down.
“A little rendezvous with your new pet? You can’t do that at home, Rogers?”
“Quiet is a scarce commodity these days,” Steve counters. You start to practically vibrate in his lap before Steve finally spares you a glance. “Let me introduce you to my fiancée.” Steve taps your ass so you’ll stand up. He opens his mouth to introduce you but you’re already on your feet shaking the man’s hand erratically.
“You’re Loki Laufyson! Oh my gosh! I’m such a huge fan! I loved you in Ragnarok and The Dark World and I’ve seen all of your plays! Can you sign my phone? Can you sign my face? Can you tell me to kneel?”
Loki smirks at your words. “I think we can arrange-“
“No,” Steve grips you forearm and pulls you back to his chest. “You will not be kneeling for anyone.” That rough tone comes out in Steve that has you submitting against him. “One picture.”
“Do I get to choose the pose?” Loki asks. So much suggestion leaks into his voice that you nod excitedly until you see Steve’s face. Those daggers are back in full force. You quickly start shanking your head. “Fine. Something innocent that the future hubby approves of,” Loki sighs and holds open his arms for a selfie. You quickly snap a few photos. You didn’t expect him to be so tall in real life.
“If you ever want to be a little naughty, you know where to find me,” Loki adds quietly just before releasing you. You practically bounce on your toes back to Steve, giggles falling from your lips the entire way.
“If you’re done harassing my fiancée, I have a quick question for you. You had a run in with the feds. Do you know an Agent Coulson?”
“Nasty little bugger,” Loki grimaces. “Why? Is he on the hit list? It would really help me out if he was.”
“Afraid not,” Steve states shutting down the man. “He’s got a female partner. You know her?”
“How badly do you want to know, Mr. America?”
Steve crosses his arms over his broad chest as he thinks. “I got some new stuff from Venezuela. Just sourced it a few weeks ago.” Venezuela? A few weeks ago? “Really hard shit. We’re calling it tesseract.”
“Tesseract? Such a fucking pretentious name,” Loki chuckles.
“Yeah, well, fentanyl was taken.”
“Is it any good?”
“Got people dropping like flies left and right. I’ll send you a sample.”
“I don’t have much for a sample,” Loki goads.
“I don’t have much for junkie has beens either.”
Loki scowls at the blond. “Maria.”
“Maria what?”
“Like I said, I don’t have much for a sample.”
Your eyes ping pong back and forth between the two men as they negotiate.
“This is fucking powerful stuff. You don’t even know if you like it yet,” Steve counters with a small smirk.
“If I don’t, I know my brother will.”
“Fine. Tesseract and two dose of the serum.”
“Now we’re talking, Mr. Rogers,” Loki smirks. “Her last name is Hill.”
“Maria Hill?” Steve repeats earning a nod from the actor. Steve types something into his phone before focusing back on the man. “Pleasure doing business with you, Loki.”
“Leaving so soon?” Loki frowns.
Steve just grabs your coat and places it over your shoulders before picking up his own. “I’m a busy man. I’ll have your end dropped off tonight. Don’t use in all in one place.”
Loki scoffs as Steve leads you through the door and back out to his waiting car. He holds the the front passenger door for you before he drives away.
“I didn’t think he used hard drugs,” you whisper more to yourself than to Steve.
“Little star, you’d be surprised,” Steve sighs.
“He just seems so genuine in his movies and in interviews.”
“They say don’t meet your heroes.” Sound advice apparently.
“What about his brother?”
“Those two were my best customers when I was selling. Now they have to beg me for shit.” This is the most Steve has ever revealed about his seedy past.
“I met Thor a few years ago. He was so sweet,” you muse.
“Probably high as a kite,” Steve chuckles. “All you have to do is meet their sister and you’ll have the whole set.”
“They have a sister?”
“She’s their manager. They don’t talk about her much. She’s a bit of a tyrant.”
“They probably need that to stay in line.”
Steve smirks. “Probably. Are you hungry at all. Do you want me to stop and get you something?” You shake your head feeling more tired than hungry. Having all of that off your chest and on Steve’s strong shoulders felt like you lost 15 pounds. You finally feel like you can breathe. You open your mouth once more to ask him about it but his hand on your thigh reminds you not to.
Instead, you slip your hand under his so your fingers are interlocked. He brings the back of your hand to his lips to press a kiss there.
“We’re going to have to move the wedding up,” Steve mutters. “As soon as possible.”
“What? But-“ He grips your hand uncomfortably tight, making your voice die on your lips. “Okay,” you whisper simply. There’s no fighting this. Just go with it. “To when?”
“Next week.”
“Next week? There’s no time to get anything done in a week!”
“We’ll still have your big dream wedding but I need it to say you’re my wife on paper.”
You intake a sharp breath. Time to start thinking with your rational head. That’s what he’s doing. He’s trying to keep the two of you out of some kind of trouble…
“We can just elope. Make the big wedding a vow renewal in a couple of years. We’re just so in love, we can’t wait?”
“You’re the influencer. Is that what’s in now?”
“Big elaborate weddings are definitely out to save money for houses and trips,” you shrug. It wasn’t like that was an issue for Steve. But it will make you look much more relatable.
You’re drooping by the time you reach home. Steve can barely keep you awake long enough for the elevator ride.
You let out a yawn and break away from him to go to your room. You barely have enough energy to flop onto the bed.
Steve follows behind you to watch the whole thing play out as Jethro scrambles away just in time to miss your leg.
“That tired?” He chuckles. He picks you up and arranges the bed so you can be under the blankets. “Get some sleep, little star,” he bids and presses a kiss to your forehead.
You gasp awake. It’s far too hot and you need to pee and your arm is numb and you just fell from a 40 story building…
Ok, maybe that last one was just part of a dream.
You stumble out of bed anyway, trying to avoid your cat who has managed to make a bed between your scissored legs.
He gives you a questioning chirp despite your best efforts to avoid him.
“It’s okay. Go back to sleep,” you whisper and scratch the kitten’s head before rushing off to the bathroom. You barely managed to notice the sky outside is still pitch black. You wonder what time it is as you wash your hands and ponder returning to bed. You kind of want to take a shower…
6am on a Saturday? Blah! You need to go back to sleep on principle.
You opt for a quick shower but as you slide back into the enormous bed Steve got you and stare out the floor to ceiling windows as the sky slowly gets brighter.
Maybe you should go see what Steve was up to…
He’s probably asleep. You should leave him alone, you think as you tiptoe down the hall. His door is cracked open so you don’t even need to knock. You peak through and see his sleeping form still curled in his bed.
Of course he’s still asleep…
He wouldn’t mind if you joined him, would he?
You’d slept together before but that was after he invited you to his bed. So that was a forever invitation, right?
Before you finish rationalizing, your feet are already carrying you to his bed.
Your mind was back to reeling about everything that was going on. You just didn’t want to be alone.
You perch on the edge of the bed and watch for any signs of distress but he just keeps sleeping soundly. Snoring lightly as his arms curl over one of his pillows. He looks amazingly peaceful. You wish he could look like this while he’s awake.
You shouldn’t bother him…
You stand up and walk over to the other side of the bed. You notice a pair of glasses on his nightstand in the pale sunlight. You didn’t know he wore glasses. You pull back the blankets behind him and slide into the bed. God, he’s warm! The whole bed is a nice and cozy temperature so unlike your own where you move a fraction and you’re suddenly freezing.
You inch closer to him waiting for his breathing to sputter and for him to wake up. But he doesn’t. You finally reach his warm body and snuggle against him.
Mmmmm. Perfect. Your arms wrap around his torso and you fall asleep almost instantly.
You blink awake to the sound of running water and a clean smell. You let out a soft moan. You aren’t ready to get up. You turn over and snuggle back into the pillows.
Steve must be up and he already discovered you so why bother going now?
Well, maybe you should give him some space to get ready…
But you’re so comfy!
You pull the plush blankets up to your chin and start to doze off again. You vaguely hear the water turn off and resolve to waking up. You prop yourself up on one arm and rub your eyes with the other.
You let out a soft moan and yawn and stretch. When you open your eyes, you blearily see a figure. A very tall, muscular, and very naked figure.
Steve stares back at you for a moment with a towel in his wet hair.
There’s a pregnant silence between you as you watch each other. Your eyes can’t help but wonder down his naked body before snapping back up to his face.
The action seems to break whatever spell is over the two of you.
“Shit,” Steve hisses and drops his towel to his waist.
“Sorry!” You squeak at the same time and avert your gaze to the bed under you.
“No, no! I should’ve known you’d be awake.”
“No, I invaded your space without permission,” you quickly counter.
There’s a brief silence after your statement. “You don’t need permission to sleep with me.”
“I don’t?” You whisper and hazard a glance up at him.
He secures his towel around his waist and looks back up at you. “Never, little star.”
You watch each other for a moment now that he’s covered. Well, relatively covered. “I guess we’re even now,” you smile.
“I guess so,” Steve smirks and approaches the bed. “Is everything okay? Why are you in here anyway?”
“Um,” you sigh as he sits on the bed. “I guess, I just, I didn’t want to be alone,” you mutter.
“I get that.” Steve cups your face and directs your gaze back up at him. “Whatever I can do to help.” You nod. “It was nice to wake up next to someone,” Steve smiles.
“I really did miss you while I was home,” you admit.
“I missed you too.” He leans over and presses a kiss to your forehead. Then your cheek. Then your lips. Something flutters deep inside you and you smile against him.
“What are you so happy about?” Steve hums.
You just shake your head and grin. “You’re not going to tell me?”
“Nope,” you giggle and press another kiss to his lips.
“I think I know a way to get it out of you,” he grins and presses you down against the bed for an onslaught of kisses. You moan against his mouth as he finds his way on top of you, his elbows framing your face and his knees finding their way between your spread legs.
His kisses start to let up slightly as you chase his lips.
“Will you tell me now?” He mutters just breaths away from your lips. Your hands bend up against your chest, not really knowing what to do with them. He seems to notice and grips your hand to press a kiss to your palm.
“Maybe,” you smile.
“Maybe?” He repeats. “What do you want, my beautiful star? Cars? Houses? Power? You can have whatever you want.”
“I don’t want any of that,” you whisper.
“What do you want?”
“Just you,” you smile.
“You have me, star.” He presses one last kiss to your lips before flipping over on his back, taking you with him. You let out a silent gasp as you’re suddenly flipped over. Your hands land on his toned bare chest. Your skin flushes and you suddenly feel unbearably hot. “Now tell me what you think is is funny.”
“I-it doesn’t seem all that funny anymore,” you whisper.
“Oh no. You’re not getting away with it that easily.” His hands run down to your hips, holding you in place. Pinning you there under his ocean gaze.
“I just-it’s just you seem to enjoy my company more than Sam and Bucky’s.”
“Oh, I definitely do,” Steve grins. “I can’t do this with them,” he laughs.
“I mean, you could,” you giggle. “I don’t know how much they’d like it, though.”
“If I try, I need you there to back me up.” His laugh is so nice. It feels like it’s been far too long since you heard it.
You bend down and press another kiss to his lips. His hands travel further down over the curve of your ass. He squeezes you making squirm against him but he just spanks you in response. You smile against him and your kisses focus on sucking his bottom lip before trailing to his jaw.
“Hmm someone’s getting bold,” Steve groans as you nip just under his ear. “Where’d a virgin learn that?”
“You’ve seen my porn history,” you remind him.
“Fuck,” he moans and his body arches against yours and you feel exactly what you’re doing to him.
Your lips travel to the center of his throat just before you hear someone clear their throat.
“Sorry if we’re interrupting.” You hear the smile in Sam’s voice without even looking at him. Your face heats impossibly and you bury yourself in Steve’s chest.
Steve just groans tossing his head back into the pillows “You two are the absolute worst!”
“It’s not like you were going to fuck her,” Bucky laughs, leaning against one of the bed posts. “We figured you’d want to know we handled the little princess’s stalker problem.”
“Good. You did your fucking jobs. You want an award or something?” Steve mutters, exasperated. His tone makes you giggle as you peek out at the two men.
“Thank you, guys,” you offer in Steve’s lack of appreciation.
“You’re very welcome,” Sam grins.
“Don’t encourage them,” Steve warns softly. “We’re moving the wedding to next week.”
“Oh, because you two are so in love?” Bucky mocks before making a gagging face.
“That’s exactly it, actually.” You notice the blush on Steve’s face as he says the words. “At least that’s what we’re telling people.”
“Wait! Are you pregnant?” Sam asks, concern suddenly overcoming his features.
“No!” Both you and Steve cry at the same time. Why do people keep asking that?
“Up,” Steve sighs and taps your ass. You attempt to roll off of him as gracefully as possible.
“Shit, Stevie. If she wasn’t pregnant, you were ready to pump a baby into her,” Bucky laughs at Steve’s very evident hard on as he rolls out of bed and walks into the closet.
“Shut up!” Steve barks as he disappears through the double doors.
“We are really sorry for interrupting,” Bucky smirks but his words sound sincere.
“It’s fine. We probably needed to stop anyway,” you whisper.
“What are you two up to today besides not making me an uncle?” Sam asks sliding into one of the chairs surrounding the bedroom’s fire place.
“We just woke up. We haven’t really discussed anything. Maybe I’ll go try to find a dress or something for the ceremony…”
Bucky frowns at your statement. “You two should enjoy your weekend. Go see a movie or something.”
“Loki’s starring in a broadway show right now. I know how much you love him,” Sam suggests. You smile but shake your head. You’re a little conflicted about your love for him right now.
They do have a point though. You two hadn’t been on a proper date in over a month.
“Where are some good date spots?”
“You can do an escape room?” Sam shrugs.
“Stevie will end up breaking something,” Bucky laughs. “He likes to go dancing.” You quickly shake your head at that. You don’t like clubs or bars or anywhere dancing would normally be.
“Maybe a movie would be fun,” you smile.
“What do you like? Action? Horror? Romance?” Bucky asks with a lifted brow as he scrolls through his phone.
“What scary movies are playing?”
“Scarlet Witch: what will a mother do to get back her children?” Bucky quotes. “They’re saying it’s pretty scary. Maybe you can get Steve to hold your hand,” He goads. “7:30? 8:45?”
“Why are you two still here?” Steve asks walking out of the closet in much more clothes. A pair of grey slacks and a black polo cover up his perfect body.
“We’re planning you a date,” Sam grins.
“I can’t today. I have a couple of meetings,” Steve sighs.
“Bullshit,” Sam frowns. “I know all your meetings.”
“I can do things without you two,” Steve mutters.
“No need to be hostile,” Bucky sighs. “We’re just trying to make sure your girl doesn’t feel neglected.”
Steve looks down at you, still wrapped up in his sheets but you can just stare at a loose thread of Egyptian cotton.
“We’ll do something tonight,” Steve sighs.
You grin up at him. “7:30?”
“7:30.” He leans over in the bed and presses a kiss to your head. “If you go somewhere, take one of them with you.” You nod.
“Take care of her,” he instructs his friends.
You watch him as he leaves the bedroom and hear the front door close behind him.
“Where the fuck is he going?” Bucky barks at Sam.
“He’s got a lot going on,” Sam sighs. “Give him some space.”
“He’s so fucking dramatic.” You nod in agreement to Bucky’s statement. “What could he possibly be doing without us?”
You watch the two men for a moment before opening your mouth. “Probably jacking off.”
Bucky gives you a pointed look before bursting into laughter.
“That was a good one,” Sam agrees with a light chuckle. You think you’ve hung out with them enough for them to accept you into their fold. You feel pride at actually making them laugh.
“Since he’s gone, do you want to go shopping with me?” You smile up at the two.
A couple hours later, the three of you stop by Starbucks for breakfast than it’s off to Bergdorf for last minute dress shopping. You figured you can just get something off the rack for this last minute wedding. The judge won’t care if you’re not wearing a one of a kind designer gown. As long as you look good in it.
You found a dress you like but it’s just okay. You’re not really in love with it. And you refuse to compromise on this. You’ve made enough compromises…
And there’s plenty more shops to go!
“I’m tired of this,” Bucky grumbles as you peruse the racks of Bloomingdale’s.
“You can go sit,” you suggest.
“I’m tired of sitting!”
“This is only the second store,” you argue.
“How many stores are we supposed to go to?”
“Steve said one of you has to stay with me so suck it up,” you counter before sticking your tongue out at him.
“How about this one?” Sam asks, holding up a floor length silk gown.
“Too bedroom,” you frown.
“Don’t they have people to do this for you?” Bucky sighs, crossing his arms.
“They do, but shopping is therapeutic.”
“For who?” He barks.
You let out a defeated sigh as you finish looking through the evening gown section.
“Saks?” You ask Sam. He’s all in on this shopping trip and you love it. Maybe you should’ve left Bucky at home.
“Let’s do it,” he grins.
“Ugh!” Bucky groans.
You pass by the lingerie section on your way out of the store. A thought can’t help but come to mind.
“Hey,” you brooch the two men as you file into the town car waiting outside. “So, um, you guys know Steve better than anyone.”
“I guess,” Bucky sighs.
“I don’t think he’s told you this but I’m a virgin.”
“You’re a what?” Sam chokes on his coffee. Bucky’s eyes just widen at you and you start talking before either of them can say anything else.
“I know! You said something today and I realized he didn’t tell you which was really sweet of him to keep my personal business to himself but I need your help with something.” The words fumble out of your mouth in quick succession. You’re trying to do better so you make sure to pause between each word so they can understand you.
“You want us to break you in before the wedding night?” Bucky jokes earning a punch in the arm from Sam.
“How can we help, princess?”
“Um, I-I want to get something to wear for the wedding night,” you whisper as two sets of eyes watch you intently. “But I don’t really know what he’ll like…”
“I’m suddenly not tired anymore,” Bucky smirks.
“Cool it,” Sam scolds. “You’re sure you want us with you? Isn’t this kind of a friend thing?”
“My friends haven’t even met Steve. They won’t be much help. Like, what if I pick out a bunch of lacy frilly things and he’s more of a leather and chains guy?”
Bucky inhales sharply at your words and gives you a once over and that tells you he wants to say something wildly inappropriate but Sam rescues you.
“Honestly, you could wear a paper bag and he’d love it but of course we’ll help.”
You step into the nearest lingerie store and suddenly feel completely overwhelmed. There’s a lot of colors and textures and exposed skin to process.
“Hi! Welcome in!” An associate greets. “Let me know if you need anything.” You’re grateful that they seem to leave you up to your own devices while Bucky and Sam spilt up across the store.
You see something frilly and pink and immediately walk up to it. Cute. But definitely not sexy. Maybe Steve likes cute…
You think back to how he had you pinned under him and was about to make you his in every way. No, he probably doesn’t like cute…
You pick it up anyway. No harm in trying it on.
You’ve only found the one outfit when the sales lady steps up to you.
“Shopping for a special occasion?”
“Um, my wedding night,” you whisper.
“Oh! That is special! Which one’s the lucky guy?” She asks gesturing to the two men that followed you in.
“Neither. They’re my fiancé’s best friends.”
“Oh?” The looks of utter confusion on her face makes you laugh. “I know. We’re a little unconventional. I mean, we aren’t swingers or anything! I just figured I’d get a male perspective.”
She just hums and looks down at the set you’re holding. “What do you like?”
“Well, I’ve never really shopped for anything like this,” you admit.
“But I’m sure you’ve thought about it? You have to be comfortable, first and foremost.”
You nod. “Well, I like rainbows and hearts and pink. Maybe pastel purple. Girly stuff,” you shrug.
“I’ll take that and start a fitting room for you. And we’ll walk over to our softer things.” You nod and follow the woman to the corner of the store Sam and Bucky completely avoided.
“I like this section,” you smile.
“Have fun,” the associate bids and goes to help your companions.
Twenty minutes later you’re standing in the fitting area with your assigned associate, Jen. She lets out a deep sigh. “Alright, these are James’s picks,” she points at a cluster of dark leather and straps that intimidates you to no end. “These are Sam’s.” This group is just as dark but much more tame and full of lace. “And these are yours,” you couple of picks are the brightest part of the room right now. “Should we narrow it down before trying on.” You nod adamantly.
By the time you’re done, there’s about eight sets left. You’ve already decided you’ll probably get one from each pile. Now it was just a matter of picking which ones.
“I’ll go put these back. Let me know if you need any help.”
Then you’re left alone. You can hear Sam and Bucky chatting about nothing in particular in the sitting area outside of the dressing rooms. Maybe this is the part where you need some female guidance.
There was always FaceTime.
You try on the first few colorful ones you chose just to warm yourself up.
Maybe yellow looked really good on you. You turn and try to see your back side. You like it! One for the yes pile!
You like the first pink one you found too!
Okay. Maybe this would be easier than you thought.
Maybe not.
You hold up one of Bucky’s choices and Jen explained it to you very thoroughly before she left but you keep getting your leg tangled in the strap meant for the arm? Or maybe it goes around the back? This thing should really come with instructions…
“Hey, guys! Can you get Jen?”
“You need help?” Sam asks.
“Yes! But not from you two!”
“Oh, come on! We can help!” Bucky jokes.
“I’ll get her,” Sam sighs, ignoring his friend.
“Hey,” the woman knocks and you open the door.
“I know you told me how to do this but I think I’m stuck,” you laugh opening the door.
She giggles at your predicament. “Alright. We got this,” she assures you.
Once it’s on, you’re kind of shocked at how much you like it.
“Okay. I need, like, written instructions on how to put this on,” you insist as you turn in the mirror to get all of the angles.
“You like it?” Jen asked happily.
“I do! I think I found my freaky side,” you giggle.
“Oh, you already had a freaky side, princess,” Sam calls. You can’t help but laugh remembering he’s probably seen your porn history too.
You leave the store with two large shopping.
“Thank you, guys! This was fun!” You smile as you wait for the car.
Bucky just shrugs and sighs. “Steve better give me a detailed play by play when you wear that stuff for him.” You laugh at his statement and glance around the area. You’re near the fabric district here and there’s a fabric store across the street but that isn’t what catches your attention.
“That’s it,” you breathe.
You step out into the street just to get stopped by Sam before the car pulls up.
“Hey! Are you trying to kill yourself?” You don’t bother responding. You just point at the shop. “Okay. But we’re using the crosswalk,” Sam laughs tugging you along.
“It’s perfect!” You smile at the dress in the window. It’s looked like it was made of silk or satin but it was structured yet flowy, with a full skirt and train that looked just informal enough for a elopement but formal enough to know that it’s for a special occasion.
“It’s a dress,” Bucky grunts.
“Buck, we’ve been to three stores and she hated everything. I think this is important,” Sam rationalizes but you’re already half way in the building, phone out to capture whatever is about to happen because it’s bound to make good content.
You walk straight up to the counter to a brunette woman. “Hi, um, weird question, is that dress in the window for sale?”
“I’m sorry-“ she starts but the giant brunet behind you interrupts her.
“Name your price,” Bucky requests. “Ten grand? Fifteen? Rent around here must be crazy,” he goads.
The woman looks up at him then back at you.
“I’m sorry but that dress is just a display. It’s not finished.”
“Oh,” you frown. “Who designed it? Do they work here?”
“Actually,” she smiles, “he does. I’ll go get him.”
She disappears from the counter and into a back room.
She returns with a teenager stumbling behind her. He can’t be older than 16.
His gaze jumps between you and the two men behind you in confusion. “H-hi! Did you guys need help with something?”
“Did you design that dress?” You ask pointing at the window.
“Uh, yeah. It was just a project. Something to put out for fall…”
“Can you make me one?”
“Wha-“
“I’m getting married next week and I’ve looked all over LA and New York and this is the first dress I’ve fallen in love with,” you blurt out.
“We’ll pay whatever you want,” Sam states.
“Um, let me, uh, just consult with my aunt real quick.”
“Do it, Peter,” she smiles the second the words leave his lips.
“Alright. Let’s do it,” he grins.
“Is it okay if I film this?” You smile.
You’re measured and draped and pinned and hemmed and a mock up is made right there on the spot.
The shop keeper collects a bundle of white fabrics for you to choose from and you pick a bright white silk taffeta that looks amazing contrasting against your dark skin. You’re so in love already.
“Give me a couple of days and we’ll do the first fitting. Then it will just take me a day to make corrections.” You nod happily at your designer’s words. Sam give his aunt the down payment and you file back out into the street.
You let out the most content sigh you can muster since this whole ordeal started months ago.
-
“Guys it’s getting really real,” you sigh to your camera while doing your makeup. “Something came up and we decided to elope. We’re getting married sometime next week.” You already called Kate, Kamala, and Kahhori and told them the news. They complained for a moment about bridesmaids things and bridal showers but you explained to just wear something nice within the color range and Steve will pay for their last minute flights and lodging.
“We’re going to have a small ceremony, probably at the courthouse, with close friends. I finally found the dress today! You’ll have to wait for the wedding to see it but it’s perfect. Steve suggested doing a big thing in couple of years for our vow renewal but I think I like the idea of something small. We’re just ready to be one. And no, I’m not pregnant!” You laugh. “Anyway it’s probably our last date night as boyfriend and girlfriend. See you all at the alter,” you grin and end the video just as you hear the front door open.
His footsteps approach your room first and you look up happily.
“There’s my little movie star,” Steve smiles. He leans against the bathroom door and watches you go back to your makeup.
“How did your meetings go?”
He lets out a world weary sigh. “I’d rather not think about that.” You nod wanting to be his peace. “What are we wearing tonight?”
“I put some options out on your bed,” you instruct but he doesn’t leave. He just steps further into the room. He stoops over your seated form and wraps his long arms around your shoulders.
“Do I have time for a nap?”
“We have to leave in about an hour so I think so.” You smile at his reflection in your vanity mirror before picking up his hand and placing a kiss to the back of it. You notice his knuckles are bruised and raw.
“Steve, you want me to wrap this up for you?”
You’re already attempting to stand up but you realize you don’t even know where the bandages are.
“Oh?” He opens his eyes and examines his hand. “I guess I didn’t realize how messed up I got,” he chuckles.
You smile back at him and let him lead you to the first aid kit in his bathroom. You’re surprised you don’t ask him what happened. You wonder but you know the answer. He can’t tell you, he doesn’t want to get you involved, it’s best if you don’t know, blah blah blah. Why bother asking anymore?
The two of you settle on his bed while you assess the wound.
“Does it hurt?” You question while applying alcohol to the split skin.
“Not when you do it,” he grins making you giggle.
“There. All better.” You kiss both of his freshly bandaged hands.
“You’re the best,” Steve smiles.
“Get some rest. I don’t want you snoring during the movie.” You press a kiss to his forehead and move to get up but he grabs your hand.
He pulls you down into one of his breath stealing kisses making you smile.
You pull away slowly, glancing into his blue eyes.
“Stay?” He asks softly.
“I have to finish getting ready.”
“Please.”
You can’t say no to that. You curl around his large body and press another kiss to his lips. His hands run across your back, holding you close as he falls back into his bed. You smother your face into his neck and chest as he tangles his fingers in your locs. His breathing calms pretty quickly and it starts to lull you into a sense of comfort as well. You close your eyes.
Just for a few minutes…
You wake up and blink into the darkness. Steve’s weight rests partially on top of you. That groggy feeling that comes on when you fall asleep with the sun out and wake up and it’s pitch black starts to settle over you. You were supposed to wake up for something…
Oh shit! The movie! You tense up to sit up but find yourself hopelessly pinned under you fiancé. You probably missed it anyway.
You settle back down. Even Jethro is curled into your other side. You aren’t going anywhere.
You turn your head wondering if Steve has a clock in his room. You’re within arms reach of his nightstand and you remember he put his phone there before you sat down.
Your hand slaps across the wood searching for the little rectangle.
11:43? Ugh!
You guys need to find some food before everything closes.
“Steve,” you call and shake his shoulder. “Steve, are you hungry?”
He groans and holds you a little tighter, dragging you further under him.
“Steve,” you giggle. “You’re crushing me.”
“Good. It’ll keep you in my bed,” he mumbles. You laugh again and try to wiggle out from under him. “You’re too hot,” you whine.
He yawns and rolls off of you. “You’re pretty sexy yourself,” he mutters. You roll over and crawl up his chest. “Did we miss the movie?” You nod and give an affirmative hum. “I’m sorry. I didn’t realize how tired I was.”
“It’s okay. I was pretty beat, too. But we should probably get some food.”
“Ugh,” he groans again and drops his arm back over you. “What do you want? What time is it?”
“Almost midnight.”
“Shit! We slept all evening!”
“Yeah, we did,” you laugh.
“I’m sorry, little star! I owe you a date.”
“I just wanted to spend time with you.”
“You’re spending all kind of time with me.” His fingers strum across your back making you smile.
“It’s just like adults to spend their time together sleeping.”
“What are we supposed to do? Go to Coney Island?”
“Well, we went to Disneyland.”
Steve chuckles and finally sits up dragging you along with him.
“What’s open this late?” He muses and grabs his phone. “IHOP? Dennys? Taco Bell?”
“My stomach can’t handle Taco Bell,” you laugh.
“You’re getting old,” Steve jokes in the light of his phone.
“Let’s go to IHOP!”
You change and jump into one of Steve’s cars for a short drive down the street. You opt for a booth in the corner hoping for some quiet but group of teenagers is sat a couple tables away from you dashing that dream.
Steve rolls his eyes as they talk loudly about the Aston Martin in the parking lot.
“Do you get that a lot when leave the house?” You ask quietly.
“How often do people see luxury cars at ihop?”
You just smile and point at the sugary pancake options. “Do you want to share one?”
“The Cinnamon Toast Crunch one!”
“Anything you want, star.” The waitress takes your orders before disappearing again.
“I was thinking we can do the wedding at my house in the Hamptons. Friday? Saturday?”
“You have a house in the Hamptons? Where don’t you have a house? Is the weather that close to the water nice right now? Who’s officiating?”
“All these fucking questions,” Steve chuckles. “You know I don’t know shit about these houses. It’ll be a little chilly but not coat weather. Sweater weather I guess.”
“I love that song,” you interrupt.
“Never heard of it. Natasha said she’s ordained and she’ll do it.”
“That’s nice of her. At least it won’t be a stranger. Probably Saturday. We can do, like, an early afternoon ceremony then brunch.”
“I’ll let the planner know.”
“You didn’t tell me there’s a planner,” you blanch.
“You didn’t tell me what you did with Sam and Bucky all day,” he counters playfully.
“Oh? I found the dress! It’ll be ready hopefully by Wednesday.”
“Good,” Steve smiles. “What else did you do?” He asks pointedly and you know one of them talked.
“Um, we went to a lingerie store to…get something for the wedding night,” you whisper.
Steve smirks at your words and leans back in his seat, crossing his arms. “You don’t have to get all dolled up for me. I like what I see.”
You giggle and glance away. “I just want it to be special.”
“You’re going to let me have you?”
“You’re going to be my husband,” you rationalize.
He regards you for a moment before slipping from his side of the booth to join you on yours.
He curls over you and presses a kiss to your lips.
“It would be an honor.” You lift yourself up to kiss him back.
“I don’t just pass my virginity out to anyone. You better know what you’re doing.”
He smirks at that then asks you a question that feels completely out of left field. “Do you want kids?”
“I-wha-?”
“I know you’re not on birth control. But I had a vasectomy almost 20 years ago and I have no intention on reversing it for no reason. So, do you want kids?” His brow lifts. In that quiet booth, the two of you start to plan your future.
“Do you want kids?” You counter, looking up at him through your lashes.
“I do. I’d love it if you’d make me some. But not yet. I think we need to practice this marriage thing for a bit.”
You nod in agreement. The two of you are silent for a moment before you look back up at him. “Who told you?”
“Oh, you know it was Buck,” Steve chuckles. “He’s pissed off I didn’t tell him you were a virgin.”
“It’s such a big deal to him. I still masturbate. It’s not like I’m untainted,” you laugh.
Steve takes a sharp inhale and clears his throat before answering. “Guys are just into that sort of thing, star. They think they can mold you into what they want. But you know what you like, huh?” He mutters so close to you ear a shiver goes down your spine.
“D-do you like that? That I’m a virgin?”
He hums in thought as his hand around your waist grips your side before dropping down to your hip. “I don’t like that I’ll have to be gentle with you,” he frowns. “I’m a little rough in the bedroom. But,” he sighs, “I’ve never been with a virgin. It will be fun to learn with you.”
“Y-you can be rough,” you whisper.
“No. I want you to enjoy your first time. It’s gotta be good or you’ll hate sex. I don’t want you telling me you have a headache or you’re on your period five weeks in a row because you don’t like how it feels. We have to figure each other out.”
He stops talking as your food is brought out. Steve starts cutting up his omelette but you just stare at your French toast.
“Should we start?”
“Start what?” Steve asks around around a mouthful.
“Start ‘figuring each other out’? So it won’t be so…awkward?”
“I’ve been fucking trying but every time I do my dumbass friends walk in.” You burst into laughter at his statement and how true it is.
“You managed to find some of the most fantastic cockblocks,” you manage between giggles.
“Some of the best in the business,” Steve agrees with a chuckle.
“Were they like that with Peggy?”
“Oh, they were the fucking worst! I don’t know how they knew every time we were trying to have sex. They’d call. They’d knock. Buck always just let himself in. He didn’t even feel bad about it.” You smile at him reminiscing about his late wife. It’s sweet. “And when Nat was in town, forget about it. We just went to bed fully clothed every night because she may just be doing laundry or cooking in our house the next morning. It was like they had a tracker on me.”
“They just love you.”
“My wife loved me, too!” He argues making you giggle.
“Okay, they just have keys to the house, right? Do they have keys to the bedrooms? We’ll lock the bedroom door.”
“Then they’ll just bang on the door.”
“Loud music! Or we can wear headphones with noise cancellation!”
“This is so much work to have sex,” Steve groans a little too loudly garnering the attention of the teenagers.
“Oh my God,” you laugh and hide your face in his cable knit.
“You kids got a problem?” He barks at them only making you laugh harder.
“Stop!” You cry, tugging lightly on his sweater. He just chuckles at your embarrassment.
“Eat your food so I can take you home and fuck your brains out,” Steve adds just as loudly to make sure the kids overhear it.
“I’m going to kill you!” You laugh as tears start to fill your eyes.
“Good luck with that, star.”
Steve drapes his arms over your shoulders as you step back into the house. He bends down to press a kiss to your temple and holds his nose there, nuzzling against you.
“You wanna take a shower with me?”
You almost whip out of his hold you turn so fast.
His expression quickly turns to amusement. “Too soon?”
You nod immediately as your face heats with a blush.
“Alright. Go get ready for bed and I’ll come find you.” He pulls you in for another forehead kiss before branching off to his bedroom.
You watch him as he walks away. This man is about to be your husband. He’s gorgeous. He’s kind. He’s surprisingly gentle. And you can’t even bring yourself to shower with him?
“Wait!” You call grabbing his hand. He hums, turning back around to face you. “Just showering, right? Like we aren’t going to do that until Saturday?”
Steve smiles and nods. “Just showering.”
“Okay.”
“Okay?”
“Okay, I’ll shower with you,” you spell out with a light laugh at how ridiculous you feel like you sound.
He just smirks at you an pulls you into him to hold your hand properly.
He surprises you and takes you to your room. Well, you guess it makes sense. All of your toiletries are in there.
He turns on you once you reach the end of your bed.
“I’m going to take your clothes off,” he tells and sits on the end of your bed.
“Oh! N-no! I can take them off myself.”
He shakes his head and pulls you between his legs. “I’m taking off your clothes.”
“Are you sure? We can just meet in the shower…”
He shakes his head again and plays with the hem of your sweater. “I want to take off your clothes.”
“…want to?” You question, letting your hands fall to his shoulders.
“I want to,” he repeats pulling you into a soft kiss.
“Okay,” you whisper after pulling away.
“Okay.”
He lifts the hem of your shirt that he’s been toying with up and over your head.
He inhales sharply once you’re left in your bra and leggings. “Shit,” he breathes. “I forgot how gorgeous you were under all of these clothes.” You giggle and move your arms to cover your chest. “Aht!” He scolds, pulling your arms away. “Don’t you dare hide yourself from me.” You smile and place your hands back on his shoulders. He presses your leggings down your hips and he helps you step out of them. “Fucking perfect,” he sighs.
He pulls you closer to him. “Can I touch you here?” He ask, tucking his finger in the little strap between the cups of your bra and pulling you even closer. His face is breaths from your cleavage. You bite your lip and nod. “Can I hear you say it?”
“Yes,” you whisper.
“Yes…?” He asks pointedly with a lifted brow.
“Yes, you can touch my boobs?”
“Good girl.” A soft whine escapes your lips at his praise. He hums positively. “New kink unlocked?” He smirks and presses a kiss to one of your breast. You take a sharp intake. “Has anyone ever touched you here?” You shake your head. He presses another open mouth kiss to your breast. “Didn’t I tell you I want to hear that sweet little voice?”
“No, no one’s ever touched me there.”
You don’t even notice his hands moving until your bra falls away. You move your hands to catch it but his hands stop you once again. “You want to be my good girl, don’t you?” He asks.
You start to nod before thinking better of it. “I want to be your good girl.”
“Good.” His teeth graze the skin just below your nipple and you let out a shuttering breath. His hands slide down your body and tuck into your thong.
Oh?
He slides the piece of cloths down your legs and releases them to fall to the floor. Then his hands grip your ass. You gasp at his tight grip and then his lips wrap around one of you nipples.
Oh God!
“Little star?” He asks making your brain come back to him, back to your bedroom, back to earth. Your eyes flutter open and you meet his blue gaze. His hand presses against your lower stomach while he looks up at you. “Can I touch you here?”
“Yes, please. You can touch my pussy. You can touch me everywhere,” you whimper.
He chuckles softly and lets his hand slide down to your slit.
“How do you masturbate, little star? Do you play with your clit?” He presses into the bundle of nerves that makes your knees so weak that you fall into his hold. He catches you so easily that you wonder if he did it on purpose. “Or do you like something a little deeper?” His fingers slide further into your body making you whine. They brush against the front of your insides with the precession of an expert. You’ve never explored that deep. It was a place for tampons and menstrual cups. A place you didn’t explore unless you had to. It was a little scary to you but he wasn’t scared at all. He almost seemed excited for some reason. It felt strange which is why you stayed away from sex. You were about to let him know that you preferred your clit to be played with-
“Oh god!” You choke.
“There it is,” Steve chuckles. He lifts you up so easily and lays you across the bed. He lays next to you just massaging that spot making your writhe against him. You want him to stop but your mouth begs for more. You’ve never felt more out of control of your own body. You grip his arm trying to push him away but your hips lift closer to him. You pant for air as your body arches against the bed.
“Nggh,” you whine, and attempt to smother your face in the bedding.
“Let it out, little star. Use your words.”
“Too much!” You gasp.
“Nah. You can take it.”
“Ste-please!”
“It’s okay. It’s just me. You can do it,” he encourages.
He’s doing something to you your vibrator could never. It’s never felt like this. You’ve never felt like this.
Then he presses against your clit.
“Ah! Ahh!” You gasp as your core contracts in a powerful orgasm.
But he doesn’t stop.
And your body doesn’t stop.
“Aaaa! Fuuuuu!” You cry as you feel yourself cum, a stream of liquid pouring out of you. You attempt to quickly get up to clean up the mess but Steve holds you down, pressing against your clit and that spot inside of you. “Buhuhu-“ you gesture to your core.
“The maid will deal with it,” Steve reasons. “Relax. Breathe.” You let out a heavy breath and let the orgasm continue to wash over you. “There you go. Good girl.” You whine and wiggle your hips against his hold. “My good girl. My little star.” You whimper and try to relax your tense body as the after shocks pulse through you. You take a few deep breaths and Steve finally releases you. He pulls you into a kiss, pressing himself over you.
You let out a heavy moan when he pulls away.
Steve chuckles and kisses you again. “Was that good?”
You take a deep breath and sigh it out. “Yeah. That was really good,” you smile before covering your face with your hands. “Fuck. That was amazing,” you laugh.
“Amazing, huh?” Steve laughs.
“Yeah,” you giggle.
He presses another kiss to your lips before his hand runs down your body to land on your stomach.
“I think I’ve gotten you nice and dirty. Time for a shower?” You nod and let out yawn and stretch. “Did I wear you out?”
You giggle and roll into a seated position just to give him a goofy, little grin. “I can do that all day.” He chuckles and lifts you into his arms to walk you both to the bathroom.
He places you on the counter. “Brush your teeth and do all that shit girls do.” He kisses your forehead and leaves the room. You imagine he went to brush his own teeth.
You quickly set about your nightly routine, chiefly aware of just how naked you are. Sure, you go naked all the time in your own home. But this was not your home. This was a space where far too many people had access to.
Maybe you just need to discuss that with Steve and have him set some boundaries. Yeah, boundaries are good.
You finish washing your face when your fiancé returns.
Very naked.
“Oh!” You squeak and look away.
Steve just laughs and wraps his arms around you, pulling him back against his very naked body.
“Get used to it, star,” he chuckles. He presses another kiss to your temple and steps away to turn on the shower. This was all so bizarre. It was out of the norm enough to live with him but now you were getting used to seeing him naked.
You just watch him for a moment, trying to get over the strangeness of it all.
“You’re beautiful,” you finally mutter when he meets your gaze.
He lifts an amused brow at you. “You think so?”
You nod. “Like, I can tell you really take care of yourself.” He hums in response before holding his hand out for you. You press yourself away from the counter and finally approach him. He steps into the open shower area.
“Hot enough?” You hold out your hand before turning up the heat. “I forgot what it was like showering with a woman. You guys like to boil.” You giggle but can’t help but agree with him. You wrap up your locs to the top of your head and tuck them into a shower cap before finally joining him.
He’s hard.
Not like porn star hard but you’ve seen him not hard and this was not it. Half mast, maybe.
He tucks his fingers under your chin and pulls you into a gentle kiss.
“Are you like that because of me?” You ask glancing at his member.
“What do you think?” He smirks. “All that moaning and whining coming from that pretty little mouth while having that gorgeous body pinned under me. What man wouldn’t get hard?”
You smile sheepishly, feeling guilty for his state.
But you’re supposed to be figuring each other out, right?
“Can I help?”
“There’s a lot of ways you can help. How do you want to help?”
“I mean, I’ve seen stuff,” you whisper as the water hits your body. “What do you like?”
“What do you want to try?”
“Um…” you squirm under his scrutiny. “Can I just, um, start with my hand? Is that, like, a beginner level?” You laugh nervously at your own question.
“We can start however you want.” He takes your hand and pulls you closer to him so you’re almost chest to chest. “Firm grip, okay? It’s not going to feel like anything if you’re just limp wristing it.” You giggle at his words and finally wrap your hand around his penis. Steve bites back a soft groan at your touch.
“This is the first one I’ve ever touched,” you admit softly.
“That might be a good thing. I can teach you exactly how I like to be touched.” Steve’s hand wraps around yours and he grips your fingers a little tighter around him. “Nice tight grip,” he mutters. You watch his hand intently for his instructions but your eyes can’t help but wander to dick that you’re holding. It’s pretty thick. Your fingers don’t surround the entire thing.
He moves your hand up and down the shaft just a little faster than what you would’ve done on your own.
“That’s it. Just like that,” Steve groans and falls back against the tiled wall. He releases your hand to pull you closer so your body presses against his once more, skin against skin as your chest meets his. His hands run up your ass before settling low on your hips.
You follow his instructions carefully before trying something you’ve seen and read about so many times. Your thumb swipes over his swollen head and he let out a shuddering breath making you light up.
“Is it sensitive there?” You ask innocently. You genuinely want to know as you go back to squeezing.
“A little,” he grunts.
“Am I doing a good job?”
“You’re a fucking pro, star,” he chuckles softly, finally meeting your gaze.
“I have a good teacher,” you smile and stand on your toes to kiss him.
He groans loudly after you pull away and halts your hand.
“Do you want to try something else?”
“Like what?” You whisper. Your curiosity must be plastered all over your face.
He smirks down at you and nods his head slightly to the stone shower bench. “Sit.” You glance at the ledge that up until now you’ve just used for shaving. You know what he’s going to ask. You’ve seen it. Your eyes look back at him wide with disbelief.
“It won’t fit,” you state simply like that will stop him.
“It doesn’t have to fit. That’s what those cute little hands are for.”
You follow his instructions and sit back on the shower seat and he stands between your legs.
“Start slow. Just use your tongue. Like its candy.”
You nod and grip him again at this new angle. You lean closer and open your mouth to give him a kitten lick. A salty tang hits your tongue that’s unlike anything you’ve ever tasted. It’s not exactly bad. You lick again before finally filling your mouth with his tip.
“Don’t forget the rest,” Steve coaches. You remember your hands as you squeeze along his shaft, stroking him as you suck experimentally. “That’s perfect,” Steve sigh. His hand finds your jaw and coaches you to take on a little more. His hand massages your throat and you try to appease him. Before you know it, your lips are halfway down his shaft and his cock is touching the back of your mouth.
“Good girl. My good little star. So fucking perfect for me,” Steve moans. Part of you glows with pride at his praise and you just want to please him. You feel him jump in your hands and he swells slightly.
“Fuck,” he groans and grips your throat a little tighter. “Gonna cum.” You hold on to him, not letting up with either your mouth or your hands. “Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuuuuu,” he sighs and spills into your waiting mouth. You gasp in surprise and pull away just for more to spirt out over your face and chest.
You get that taste of him again. It’s not really bad. It’s different. You swipe what lingers on your chest with your fingers and suck it off.
You kind of like it.
You glance up to see Steve watching you like a predator as you suck his essence off of your fingers.
“I’m sorry. Did you not like it?”
“I fucking loved it, star,” he growls making you want to cower away but you can’t help but lean in closer. “We have to wait until the wedding?” You nod and lick at his tip again as a little bead of cum bubbles out while he watches you. “Shit,” he curses and pulls you up so you’re standing against him. “Let’s get you cleaned up. I don’t know how much longer I can be good.” You giggle at his words and finally take a shower.
Once you’re clean, dried, and lotioned, you cuddle against Steve in your bed. Jethro curls up next to you as usual while the two of you talk quietly.
“You’re sure we can’t wear clothes?” You question, making sure the sheets covered your chest.
Steve hums positively while he covers his face with his arm and lets out a loud yawn.
“You need get used to this,” he explains simply. “We’re being intimate.” You curl over him, wrapping your leg over his hips. He holds it in place with the hand that was over his face and massages your thigh.
You finally let your hands explore his body as well. “You have really big pecs,” you smile touching the skin there. He chuckles softly and tickles behind your knee making you giggle and press his arm away.
“That was a weird compliment.”
“I don’t know if it’s a compliment. You have bigger boobs than mine.”
“Let me see.” He pulls you up so you’re sitting straddled on his stomach. All of the blankets fall away but you don’t have time to feel exposed as Steve cups your breasts in his palms. He scrutinizes them for a moment. “You’re definitely bigger,” he finally decides.
“Barely. I’ve always thought they were too small. I kind of want a boob job,” you admit.
He glances from your chest to your face. “I think they’re perfect. But if you want your boobs done, you just have to ask.”
You smile at his offer. “You like them?”
He takes a deep breath and bends his knees so you can lean back against them. “I love them. I think if they were bigger, they wouldn’t fit your body.”
“It’s just something I’ve thought about since I was younger,” you sigh. “What about you? Any changes you want?”
“Well, you said I was beautiful. I guess I’m good,” Steve laughs making you giggle.
“You don’t have any insecurities?”
“Of course I do. I’m still human. I’m not perfect.”
“You seem perfect. Like a Ken doll.”
“Is that what you think?” You nod. “I used to weigh less than you,”
“No way!”
He nods and pulls at your hands so you’re lying against his chest.
He’s held you like this before but with no clothes, it no longer seemed so innocent…
“I still have all kind of health issues. Asthma, a heart murmur, I can barely fucking see without my contacts. Remind me to take them out before I fall asleep. I thought if I made the outside better, it would fix the inside. The inside still sucks.”
You hold him a little tighter at the new information.
“Do they have scoliosis Ken?” He asks and you smile.
“Tell me something else,” you request.
He takes a deep breath and you notice just how out of sync his heartbeat is as you press your ear to his chest. “This is really shitty,” he warns.
“Lay it on me.”
“Um, okay.” He’s never sounded so unsure of himself like that. “This is something no one knows. Not even Buck.” You perk up at his words. “I’ve only been with one other woman since Peggy died. It was technically her niece. She’s my age! Maybe your age. Whatever! She’s an adult,” he quickly disclaims before you can call the cops. He takes another deep breath. “And…I met her at Peggy’s funeral.”
“What the fuck?” You bark at the man, shooting up quickly.
“I know. It was so shitty. That’s why I’ve never told anyone that. Ever,” Steve confides.
“And you never should!” You cry and smack his chest lightly. “Shit! I’m sorry,” you immediately recoil at hitting him knowing how fragile he is under all that muscle.
“It’s okay,” he laughs. “I deserve it. I just want you to know I’m not perfect.”
“Well, you keep ruining that image with each word,” you pout, and lay back down against his chest.
“Your turn,” Steve sighs, running his fingers through your locs.
You think back through your life for a moment. “Um, I’ve only been in one relationship. It was while I was in college. It was my first serious relationship but he just got out of a relationship with a girl that cheated on him.” Steve hums in understanding as his grip on you tightens. “He kept, like, projecting her onto me, suspecting me of cheating, questioning everything I did. I didn’t really want to do anything with him after a few dates but he couldn’t catch a hint. Then he slept over once and he tried to-“ Steve's grip on you becomes deafening.
“Steve, I can’t breathe,” you wheeze.
“Oh, shit! I’m sorry, star,” he releases you quickly but you don’t want to be released while you recount this moment. You want to be held down. You want to be tethered.
“Wait, don’t let go,” you whisper.
“If the next words out of your mouth are that he forced himself on you, I can’t guarantee what I’ll do with my hands,” he admits.
“I mean, I stopped it before anything happened but it kind of turned me off of dating. I just put my head down. Focused on school and my friends.”
“I just need a name, star. It’ll be like he never existed.”
“He was young and dumb. We both were.”
“That’s not an excuse,” Steve says flatly.
You just hum. You haven’t shared that with anyone either. “Can I tell you something?” You say after a moment and sit up again on his chest. “You were so gentle and patient with me that you restored my trust. And you didn’t even know any of my past. So, thank you.”
“I hope you’re not giving yourself to me because I was the first guy to be nice to you,” he smirks, reaching up to cup your face with his hand.
“No, of course not,” you smile. “I know this isn’t an ideal situation for either of us, but I want you to come home and be happy to see me. To confide in me. Unwind with me. Be like a normal couple.”
He pulls you down into a soft kiss. “I’m already happy to come home to you.” You giggle softly. “The rest of it will come with time.” He lets out a heavy yawn.
Time. It’s always time with him.
“You need to go take out your contacts,” you remind him and roll off of his chest.
He hums in agreement and slides out of the bed. “Don’t go anywhere,” he warns and yawns again. You can’t help but watch his butt as he walks off.
He’s got a cute butt.
You snuggle into your bed, taking up the spot he warmed up to stave off the cold. You start to doze off when you feel the bed dip and Steve wrap his arms around you. You drape your arm over his shoulder and snuggle into his chest.
“Goodnight, Steve,” you mutter.
“‘Night, my little star.”

I had a really, really bad morning yesterday. I had not taken my medicine because I was kind of worried I was going to end up running out of it because I have not kept up with making a new appointment with my doctor like I should have and blah blah blah, not really important for this post. The point is, yesterday before taking my medicine, I was feeling really bad.
I did end up sending an email to my doctor yesterday, though, and I know I’ll be good on my meds now. So this morning I took my morning medicine like I normally would. And I have to say that when I am properly medicated, I am kind of feeling like things could be looking up.
I’m mainly just feeling a lot better about work than I feel like I have in a long time or maybe ever. I’ve been feeling a lot more like I don’t really mind being there. Today I was for sure a thousand times more anxious in the time leading up to work than I was once I clocked in and started working. I really want to get that pre-work anticipatory anxiety under control too, but I’m happy that things are at least feeling a lot better than they did in the past once I’m actually working.
I am off tomorrow, but then my goal for Thursday through Saturday is to work 8 hour shifts from 2-10. One of my main goals if not the main goal that I really want to work on right now is getting myself back to 40 hour work weeks, or at least really close to it. I want to get back to being comfortable being at work for a full eight hours. And I think that’s definitely something that is becoming more of a possibility, because I’m leaving work extremely pissed off much less often.
I was having to work at a really fast pace basically nonstop for the first chunk of my shift today, and I didn’t have nearly the same amount of anxiety that I would have had in the past. I’m definitely trying to work on feeling like I want to be there, because I do want to be making more money. And I’m really not an extremely busy person outside of work. The only reason I don’t work more hours is because of my mental health, not because I have so many other things I need or even want to do outside of work. Which is why, again, I really am trying to tell myself that I want to be at work making money instead of at home watching YouTube or something.
I’m gonna try not to stay up to an unholy hour tonight so that I can wake up at a reasonable hour tomorrow for my day off. I want to get out of my apartment and do some walking to hopefully not feel like crap the whole day like I sometimes do on my days off. I was also thinking that I want to try to get my sleep schedule more under control in general, and try to get up and enjoy my mornings before my evenings at work. I’m thinking maybe I want to find a nice coffee shop or something. Somewhere I can go when I’m anxious before work to just chill. Because sometimes I end up leaving my apartment way too early just to try and get rid of that anxiety, and then I end up at work before it’s time to actually work. Which isn’t really ideal, it’s kind of a waste of time. So I don’t know, I’m gonna have to think more about how I want to handle my mornings.
Hopefully I am successful in extending my shifts for the rest of this week to be 8 hours instead of my usual 6. I think it’s going to work out well. And I will enjoy the extra money. And ultimately my goal is to be able to work those 8 hour shifts regularly so I can be making that extra money all the time. Wish me luck. 🙂

sick part 2 | nate jacobs
part one here!
(tags later)
Tumblr media
nate had gone to the doctor the next day, giving you a chance to go home, shower and get some homework done. the doctor said that he wouldn’t be contagious in 24 hours after starting the meds so you both thought it’d be best to keep away until then.
that was a moot point as it turned out. the day after nate’s doctors appointment, you felt like shit and you were burning up. you were supposed to go to nate’s that evening to watch a movie in bed with him but that wasn’t gonna happen now.
‘i can’t come over tonight bubs :(‘ you texted, curling up in a million blankets to try and quell the chills.
your phone lit up right away, ‘why not??’ then it began to ring, before you could even say anything nate asked, “what’s wrong? are you upset?”
“no baby, i’m sick. i guarantee i have strep.” you sighed, “i’d go to the doctor but my moms still out of town and i don’t feel good enough to drive.”
“i’ll take you.” he stated, “get ready. i’ll have my mom make the appointment with our doctor. don’t worry about it.”
you groaned, “nate, you don’t have to do that. i can wait till she gets home in a couple days.”
“stop arguing. you took care of me. let me take care of you.” and with that, he hung up. you huffed and rolled back over in your bed, pulling the blanket back over you. he was right.
you had planned to get up and get dressed, but you actually drifted right back to sleep.
nate was concerned when you didn’t answer. he had texted you 4 times and called you twice. he had then walked to the door and rang the doorbell twice. deciding it probably was an emergency, he used the spare key you had given him.
“baby?” he called into the empty house. he walked upstairs to your room and saw a lump of blankets in the middle of your bed. he cracked a smile and sat on the edge, “sweetheart, i thought you were gonna get ready for me.”
“fell asleep, you woke me up.” you pouted, peaking your head out from under.
nate brushed his hand over your forehead and pushed your hair back, “how are you under all these blankets? you’re burning up.”
“i have a fever, i don’t know how high,” you frowned. it was a good thing nate was here. it was taking effort just for you to move.
nate frowned, “okay, come on. doctor time.” he bent over and picked you and a few of your blankets with you.
“need to get ready.” you grumbled. you hadn’t changed your clothes or even brushed your teeth.
he shook his head and brought you to your bathroom, “you’re a worst patient than i am, baby.” he put you down and kissed your forehead, “get ready and i’ll grab you some fresh clothes.”
it took double the time it normally would have for you to brush your teeth and hair but nate was patient as ever. he even helped you get dressed in the clothes he picked out which were sweatpants and a hoodie of his that he had been wearing into the house.
——
after the doctor you arguably felt shittier. you did indeed have strep which made nate feel bad as he knew he was the cause.
“nate, it’s fine. my immune system just doesn’t work like it should.” you mumbled, crawling into nate’s bed.
he had brought you to his house since your mom was still out of town. nate’s mom also insisted as she wanted to return the favor by taking care of you.
“yeah well i still feel bad. you have it worse than me.” he scooted you over so he could get in bed next to you.
“bad news tho jacobs. antibiotics make my birth control pill not work. no sex for 10 days.”
“like you’d be up for having sex now anyway.” he mused, smiling.
“of course i want to rail my sexy nurse. who do you think i am?” you grinned and wrapped your arms around him, settling in.
“let’s just get your tonsils to shrink and then we’ll talk babe.” he pressed a kiss to the top of your head.
“fine. fine.” you said, too tired to even joke argue. and with that nate kissed your forehead and you drifted to sleep.

BABY MAMA
A/N: woke up and just knew i needed to write about dad Harry, bc lets be honest, he is my fav. this fic is perfectly fine as a oneshot, but if you'd like, it could be a sequel to Grammy Winner Husband and Baby Grammy, i wrote things to line up with them!
PAIRING: Husband!Harry / Dad!Harry x Reader
WORD COUNT: 2k
masterlist
Tumblr media
The arena is blowing up, the fans are screaming from the top of their lungs and Harry is putting out a show just as good as the previous ones have been. He is blowing the stage up, singing, dancing, joking around with the fans, enjoying this time he gets to spend with the people who got him to this point in his life. He’ll never be not grateful for what he has, what he is experiencing, no matter how hard this life can get sometimes.
“Dallas, how are you feeling tonight?” he asks in the mic as he walks back to his water bottle to have a few sips. The crowd erupts, the screams almost burst his eardrums, but he just chuckles, easing his thirst with some water before he returns to the microphone stand.
“Are you enjoying yourself?” he teasingly asks, though the reaction is the same. Insane screaming. “Alright, let’s move this show on before you get bored,” he chuckles playfully, the band starts playing the next song and he is back at what he does the best. Performing.
Though not far from the arena, there’s someone who thinks there’s something he is even better at than performing. That person is you, and you’re one hundred percent sure Harry is best at being a father to your five months old son.
Owning the stage, putting out the utter best he can, Harry’s thoughts still wander away from the show he is supposed to be focusing on. He can’t help it, his instincts are just completely drawn to his baby in the hotel suit, dying to know how he is doing. Leaving for the show late afternoon was harder than usually, because baby Theo was having a fever and coughing quite badly. His heart was breaking that he couldn’t help his son, didn’t even know what could be done for such a tiny baby.
“Love, he’ll be alright, okay? The doctor is on the way, it’s gonna be fine,” you told him gently as he was cradling Theo to his naked chest, always so eager to be skin-to-skin with him. Harry kissed his soft little curls on top of his head before nodding, though you knew it was eating him away.
“Call me or Jeff if something happens, okay?” he told you, handing Theo over to you, who was finally asleep after fussing for hours.
“I will,” you nodded, but he cupped your face to make you look at him.
“Y/N, I mean it. I’ll come off the stage if—“
“You won’t come off the stage, Theo is gonna be fine, he just probably got a cold from the aircon at the greenroom in Denver. He’ll be here when you get back, okay?”
He knew this tone, this was your momma bear voice and he would never argue with you when you used it, so he just nodded, kissed you and then Theo’s chubby cheek before heading out.
Now as he is nearing the end of the show he can’t help but think about finally being back at the hotel with his wife and baby, though he won’t let it be seen how eager he is to get off the stage.
The last song passes, the whole arena blows up from the energy and he is throwing kisses everywhere as he heads off the stage, down the aisle that leads him backstage. As he puts on his mask he turns around one last time, throwing some more kisses around to his beloved fans before disappearing behind the curtains.
“Did she call?” he instantly asks Jeff instantly, who hands him his phone over, a text from you already waiting for him.
Doc just left, everything is fine, left some meds for bub. Love you Xx
Even though this is what you told him before too, he feels relieved that the doctor confirmed it, but he still can’t wait to see the two of you.
“Alright, get the car ready, I’m leaving in ten,” he tells Jeff.
“Got it,” he nods, not even daring to argue with him. He knows better than to stand between Harry and his baby.
His legs bounce nervously on his way back to the hotel and he jumps out of the car as if it was on fire, running inside in a rush. He swipes the keycard through the reader on the door and opens it quietly, scanning over the place for you and Theo and there you are, sitting in one of the armchairs with his sleeping son in your arms, your hand gently tapping on his bum. You must have just finished feeding him, because a rag is still thrown over your shoulder and your shirt is all wrinkled around your chest. Theo loves playing with the fabric while you breastfeeding him and Harry loves watching his tiny fingers grab onto it and massaging it aimlessly.
“Hey,” he breathes out, quietly pushing the door closed behind him before he walks over, kneeling in front of you. He kisses Theo’s forehead first, before pressing his lips to yours too. “How is bub feeling?”
“He is doing good. The doc gave him some meds for the fever and we have a syrup for the coughing. He said he’ll be fine in a few days,” you softly explain to him, nodding towards everything the doctor left you on the coffee table.
Harry grabs the bottles, inspecting them as if he knows anything about medicine and you can’t help but smile as he furrows his eyebrows, reading the packaging.
“Want to put him to bed?” you ask him, his head snapping up right away.
“Of course,” he nods eagerly. You both stand up and he carefully takes the little boy from your arms without waking him up. “Hey bubs, I missed you,” he coos at Theo and as you watch him sway with the sleeping baby, your heart could easily burst from just the sight of them.
You didn’t know what life would be like as a family of three. After Harry posted a picture of you with his Grammy award and your belly ready to pop, the whole world went crazy over the fact that Harry Styles is going to be a dad. Despite the buzz, you managed to stay hidden for the rest of your pregnancy and just three weeks after that post, Theodore Styles decided to come to the world. Harry cancelled everything for the first two months, it was just the three of you, showering in the joys of parenthood. You had all the ups and downs, but you wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Then tour got rescheduled and Harry was hesitant whether it was a good idea to go on the road with a five months old.
“Sarah and Mitch are coming too, she gave birth a week after me,” you reasoned when Harry was about to cancel the whole tour. It took you some time to convince him that it’s gonna be fine, though you knew he would be extra cautious with Theo.
Now as you see him gently sway his way to the bassinet next to your bed, knowing that he just performed to thousands of people and now he is here with you and your son, you wouldn’t change it to some peace at home. Besides, you’re convinced tour is gonna do good for Theo, make him get used to people around him, not just the two of you or the grandparents and aunts. During the first night in Vegas, he barely spent an hour in your arms, everyone wanted a piece of him and you gladly let them befriend him, especially because he loves meeting new people, just like his daddy.
As Harry lays him into the bassinet and stands next to it with a lovesick smile on his face, you sneak behind him, wrapping your arms around his waist. He smells so fresh, he surely had a quick shower before heading back to the hotel, but you’re already planning to seduce him to join you for a quick shower as well. He won’t say no.
“Watched a livestream for a bit, you were so good,” you hum, kissing his right shoulder blade and you don’t miss how he leans back against you. “Loved the shimmery outfit.”
“Yeah?” he chuckles softly. Reaching around, he pulls you forwards so he can wrap you in his arms, kissing your forehead gently. “I missed seeing you dance at the side,” he smirks at you and you don’t miss the reference to the old times.
On his first solo tour, when you weren’t even married yet he often caught you dancing like crazy at the side of the stage, it would always make him laugh mid-song and you loved hearing his giggles through the mic, so you often did it on purpose. A few nights ago in Vegas you did the same, but with Theo in your arms, a massive ear protector on his head so the noise didn’t hurt him. When Harry spotted you, he almost started crying, he mouthed I love youand then carried on with the show.
“I’ll be there soon,” you smile at him, cupping his face in your hands to pull him down for a kiss that’s more than just a peck. “Now, I need help with something,” you mumble against his lips.
“Anything, baby.”
“I need you to help me shower,” you tell him cheekily. He pulls back and stares down at you with a playful grin, his hands already wandering under your shirt.
“Oh, is that so?”
“Yeah, I need someone to wash my back and… maybe somewhere else,” you hum seductively and start pulling him towards the bathroom, peeking at Theo one last time, but he is sleeping so deep, the two of you can have some alone time.
“Alright, I could never deny anything from my favorite milf,” he grins, but you smack his chest with a gasp.
“Harry! I told you not to call me that!” you protest, the two of you walking into the bathroom not to bother the sleeping baby in the room. You start running the water right away so it can be nice and hot for you when you walk in.
“Why? You are a milf,” he smirks, so full of himself, already pulling his shirt over his head.
“Then you’re a dilf, just so you know.”
“Baby, my fans have been calling me that for years, even before Theo,” he chuckles softly.
“You were destined to be a dad,” you giggle, getting rid of your own clothes. “Hey, if Theo feels better tomorrow, we could maybe take a walk in that park we saw on the way here,” you suggest, but when no answer comes, you look at Harry and find him just standing there, fully naked, staring at you grinning widely. “What?” you ask, glancing down at your own naked body. Suddenly, you are way too aware of the weight you haven’t been able to lose after giving birth, the stretch marks on your waist and how you’re not at all freshly shaved. Just as you’d move your hands to cover yourself a bit, Harry grabs your wrists and stops you.
“You are so fucking gorgeous, baby,” he hums, dropping his head until his lips could reach yours.
“Stop being such a flirt,” you giggle, feeling your face heating up.
“It’s the truth! I have the prettiest baby mama and that’s a fact.”
He looks at you with so much love and adoration in those beautiful green eyes, it almost makes you cry, knowing that this man is your husband and you get to spend the rest of your life with him.
Wrapping your arms around his neck you kiss him hard, pulling him into the spacious walk in shower.
“Then come and get your baby mama wet,” you giggle against his lips, making him laugh with the ambiguous request as he shuts the glass door behind him, his lips hungrily kissing wherever he can reach and you’re pretty sure the hot water is not the only thing that’s steaming up the glass.

Mending & Amends
(Graduation Gift Part 4)
Summary: the fourth installment of my graduation gift series (can be found on my masterlist). This picks up literally seconds after the end of pt 3 with Natasha trying to find ways to make amends and get you to trust her again. No smut, but still not appropriate.
A/N: author’s note WC: 3k (holy heck)
CW: dark fic; mommy!nat; there is no porn, I repeat no porn; but there is mommy milk/breastfeeding; reader is injured; dubcon existence; 18+ only, do you hear me??
While you’re out, Natasha has time to tend to your injuries without you cowering and crying. Without all the guilt.
She picks your limp form up gently and brings you back out to the basement proper and lays you face-down on the bed-crib. She goes to get some medical supplies and cleans you up, then bandages the open bits and rubs some healing salve all over you. With only a few strikes having landed on your core, she’s satisfied with rubbing some of the salve there.
She gets you to drink some water from a bottle in your sleep, your natural instincts she’s been nurturing taking over. She checks your temperature, a solid 99, which isn’t too bad. She wipes the sweat and tear-tracks from your face, then brushes your hair out again. She lays down beside you and drapes an arm over your waist, burying her face into the back of your neck as she tries to think of what she’ll do when you wake up.
An idea forms slowly as she runs her hand along your waist. Yes, that will work. You might not like it at first, but it will work if she bears through it. She’s not sure how much of the fear and pain on your face she can handle, but she needs to.
She moves you off the bed to make it up nice, then sets you down gently, face down. Whenever you’re healed up you’ll be able to lay on your back, but right now that’s not possible. She ties your hands and feet to frame corners with plenty of slack—she wants you to be able to move.
Finally, she reluctantly removes your collar, biting her lip as she does so. It looked so precious on you, a symbol of the progress of your relationship. All gone now, thanks to her paranoia and overreaction. As much as she doesn’t want to remove it, it’s not right to keep it on if it speaks a lie.
Then she waits for you to come to. It shouldn’t be much longer now, maybe another half hour or so. She sits in the rocking chair in the corner, anxiously bouncing her leg. She needs to get herself under control before you wake. She knows her little baby needs for her to be the collected, caring, soothing mommy right now, and that you will for some time.
You mumble a little as you begin to stir, picking your head up a little. She takes a deep breath and smiles before going over and crouching down to look at your face while she gently tucks your hair back.
“Hey baby,” she says softly. “How’s my little sleepyhead feeling?” she asks. You whimper and inch away from her.
“D-don’ touch me,” you stammer.
“It’s okay baby, mommy isn’t gonna hurt you,” she says.
She sits down beside you. “I am so so sorry about what I did earlier. I was scared you were gonna try to leave me and get hurt. It’s a nasty drop from that window. But I didn’t take the time to think past my initial reaction or ask you, and that was wrong. I overreacted out of fear and anger without stopping to think, and I’m so sorry, little one. I never should have done that,” she says, tears brimming in her eyes. You turn your head to look up at her, eyes searching hers for any sign of ingenuity. You find only regret and sadness.
“You mean it?” you ask softly.
“Yes baby,” she says. “And mommy promises never to punish you without talking first or before taking some deep breaths, okay?” she says.
“Pinky promise?” you ask.
“Pinky promise,” she sticks out her pinky to hook with yours. She’s thrilled that you’re already starting to be a bit little again. As you move to interlock with her, you notice the restraints.
“Wait, what?” all traces of your headspace are gone as you jerk up to look around at your tied limbs. “What the hell?”
“Baby, it’s to keep you safe. See? They’re not tight or anything,” she tugs on all the loose rope.
“This is insane! All of this is insane!” you shout at her for the first time in weeks. It breaks her heart even more.
“I told you, mommy’s gonna fix what she did. Mommy’s gonna show you you can trust me again, gonna take care of you, of everything. Make it so this collar means something again,” she taps it on the bedside table, just out of your reach. You bury your face in your pillow and sob.
“It’s gonna be okay, baby. Mommy’s here. Mommy’s gonna make it all better,” she curls up beside you and puts an arm over you again. Despite how upset you are, you lean into it, wanting the physical comfort you associate with her.
“How’s your bottom?” she asks.
“Hurts,” you mumble.
“Do you think some Advil might help?” she asks. You nod and she gets up briefly to go get it. “Here you go, baby,” you tilt your head up and she puts the pills in, then grabs your bottle of water. You roll your eyes but suck on it to get the water to wash the pills down. You nod a thank you.
“Are you hungry?” she asks. You nod. “What do you want? I’ll even go drive through somewhere if that will help,” she says. You think for a moment.
“McDonalds?” you ask hopefully. She nods and smooths your hair back.
“McDonalds will be here soon,” she assures you. “Mommy has to go see a friend, too, so it works out. I’ll be back in half an hour or so, okay?” she says. You nod.
She kisses your head, which you recoil from, and leaves. You’re left alone to lay face-down on the crib-bed, restrained and in pain, until she returns. It’s silent. It’s lonely. You’ve grown used to either having Natasha or the sounds of the TV running since you came down here.
You think back to this morning. Everything was so different. You honestly trusted her this morning, even if it wasn’t the strongest trust. But this afternoon reminded you that she was an unstable, dangerous, paranoid lunatic. And it scared you.
Truth be told, you’ve grown to like being “little,” as Natasha calls it, letting yourself stop thinking too much and trust your mommy—Natasha, you correct yourself—to take care of you. You liked playing with her and cuddling. And when she touched you, it felt so good. So much better than when you had touched yourself. You felt loved and cared for in some twisted way.
But that was all in the past, now. You’d been doing so well, both of you, and now this. How does she expect you to trust her again? You’re not sure. You turn your head and close your eyes.
“You’re sure this will work, Wan?” Natasha asks her friend anxiously as she pulls her shirt back on. The red glow around her is fading. Her bra feels painfully tight and she winces.
“I’m positive. It worked for me, and especially given that you told me it’s happened before with those meds. If not tonight, by tomorrow for sure. And here’s these,” she hands Natasha a package. “They’ll be much more comfortable.”
“Thanks, Wanda. I don’t know what I’d do without you, in all honesty,” she says. Wanda smiles and hugs her.
“I could say the same to you,” she smiles. “Go on, get back to your little one,” she shoos her playfully. Natasha waves and leaves, then drives by McDonalds as promised. She’s back in a little over half an hour to see you dozing. It warms her heart to see her precious baby sleeping.
“Come on, little one, mommy brought your food,” she says, shaking you gently. You open your eyes and push yourself up off of the bed some. “Let’s get you comfy,” she helps you find a position that isn’t too uncomfortable for your aching rear, then hands you your food. “What do we say?” she asks.
“Thank you,” you say with a french fry in your mouth. She smiles. The mommy will come back later. She won’t push it for tonight.
“Do you wanna watch some cartoons?” she asks. They always engross you and help you into your littlespace. You nod and she flicks through the TV until she finds one she knows you like.
You both eat in relative silence, watching the TV. At least you’re not trying to cower anymore. That’s good, right? Progress? She hopes so.
“I’m gonna use the potty,” she tells you, then gets up. You don’t notice her bring the package with her as does.
When she returns, you notice something different about her, but you can’t tell what. It’s a small difference, then. Maybe she just fixed her hair. She’s smiling though.
You’re finished with your food soon enough, and the show ends shortly after.
“Let’s get you in the bath now baby, hm?” she suggests. You feel gross anyways, so you nod. She unties you and scoops you up in her arms.
“Let me down!” you squirm.
“Hush now, like mommy told you, I’m gonna take care of everything. Gonna show you you can trust me again,” she says. You squirm all the way to the bathroom anyways. She sets you down on the toilet facing the wall, almost straddling it.
“Huh?” you ask.
“It’s less pressure on your little bottom,” she explains. You nod and use the toilet while she gets the tub ready, but when you go to get some toilet paper, Natasha beats you to it. “I’ve got it, baby,” she says, wiping your tender area gently. You wince and try to get away from her.
“Stop it, I’m not a baby!” you try to grab her hand and move it, but she stays still, unmoving.
“Come on, little one. I know you’re in there. I know you want to let mommy take care of you,” she says. You shake your head. “Baby, this is about me proving to you that you can trust me to take care of you,” her voice is even. “I want you to choose to let me prove it to you. That’s why I haven’t given you any of the medicine I used to. But that doesn’t mean I won’t. I’ll do whatever it takes to get you to believe how much I care about you again,” she says.
“But—“ you don’t know what you were planning on saying. “But I wanna do it myself. I can do it myself,” your voice is quiet as you lose your grip on her wrist, barely audible.
“That’s the thing, precious,” she steps closer to you, finishing her task and then using her other hand to pet your head. “I know you can do it. But you don’t have to. That’s why I’m here,” she says. You groan and lean forward on the toilet tank. “Come on, you’ll feel better when you’re clean,” she picks you up and sets you in the tub, then flushes the toilet.
You sigh and let her bathe you. Your body is too sore from getting dragged and caned to wash yourself that effectively anyways. When she gets to your most sensitive areas though, you squirm away from her and reach for the soap.
“It’s too sore. I wanna wash it myself,” you say quietly.
“I’m gonna be so careful, you won’t even notice,” she gently moved your hand away and got the soap again. Tears brimmed in your eyes and your bottom lip started to form a pout. “No, baby, don’t cry,” she gasps, petting your cheek. “Tell mommy what’s going on,” she says.
“I’m scared,” you say. “I don’t want you to touch it because you hurt me,” you say. Her heart breaks again.
“Okay, sweetie, how about this: we can do it together,” she takes your hand and puts it over hers, then begins to wash you gentler than ever. Your breathing hitches and your heart kicks up, but it’s over before it can go into full-blown panic.
“All done. You did such a good job, little one,” she praises you. “Ready to get out, or do you want to play in the water some?” she asks.
“Ready to get out,” you say. She picks you up out of the bath and dries you off with a soft towel before taking you out to the bed. She pulls on a soft shirt, leaving your bottom half uncovered so as not to irritate it. She changes into the spare pjs she keeps down here and crawls into bed beside you. You don’t welcome or recoil from her touch, which she’ll take as progress.
Her chest is still dully aching, but she knows she’s pushed you far enough for tonight. Maybe tomorrow she’ll be able to coax you into it.
When day comes again, Natasha is treating you the way she did when she first brought you down here, only with gentleness and tenderness where there was hardness and strictness before. The lack of the sedative drugs in your system makes it more difficult, but she’s able to maneuver your squirming form through the daily ritual of getting up, using the toilet, getting dressed, brushing your hair and teeth, and finally breakfast. Whenever she can, she has you laying on your stomach on the bed, and this is one thing you don’t protest.
You notice her shifting in discomfort the whole morning though, and despite how much you dislike her at the moment, you hate to see her in pain. You work up the courage to ask after a while of watching cartoons.
“Are you hurt?” you ask.
“I… well, I have a side effect from a treatment I had done that’s causing me discomfort,” she admits.
“I’m sorry,” you say. “That sucks.”
“There’s a way you can help me,” she says, sounding more timid than you’ve heard her maybe ever before.
“What is it?” you ask. To your confusion, she started to unbutton her shirt, and then she unclips her bra, but from the top? What?
“Huh?” you blurt out.
“I’m lactating,” she says simply, squeezing her nipple a little, causing a drop of what can only be breast milk to come of it.
“I—what do you want me to do about it?” you ask, dumbfounded.
“They hurt because they’re too full,” she explains. “And it would be really helpful if you would, well… empty them. I don’t have a breast pump, of course,” she says.
“Wait, like, you want me to—to drink your milk?” you’re turning bright red. Even after everything you’ve done with her, you’re almost unbearably embarrassed.
“Yes, baby, it would really help me, plus I think that you’ll like it. And it could help us…feel closer,” she chooses her words carefully, gauging your reaction.
“It’s kinda weirding me out,” you say honestly.
“Just try it, please, baby? It’ll help me feel so much better. And I promise, if you hate it after a little while then I’ll get a pump,” she crosses her fingers behind her back.
“I… okay,” you say. This whole situation is so absurd you can hardly bother trying to resist it. She smiles and adjusts the both of you to where you can reach her breast.
It’s not like you haven’t had her tits in your mouth before. You’re not sure why you’re so nervous right now. Natasha gently puts a hand on the back of your head and pushes you a little closer. You wrap your mouth around her nipple hesitantly, unsure of what to do.
“It’s like your bottle, sweetheart,” she senses your confusion. You tentatively begin sucking, and you’re surprised by the flow of milk into your mouth. You jerk back, but Natasha keeps your head in place, groaning in relief.
When the initial shock wears off, you realize she was right—you do like it. It’s warm and sweet, and the sucking action soothes you. You relax a little.
“That’s a good baby for mommy,” Natasha says gently, stroking your head with her thumb on the hand supporting you. “Do you like mommy’s milkies?” she asks. You nod, slipping into littlespace quickly as you drink from her. “Is it yummy?” she asks out of her own curiosity. You nod, not wanting to stop to answer. She chuckles. “It’s all yours, little one.”
She moves you to her other breast when you’ve finished, looking down and noticing that her other one is indeed smaller, and it certainly feels better now. You clutch at her gently to get a good angle, and her heart swells. She’s so glad this worked, but then again, Wanda’s advice has yet to fail her, so she shouldn’t be surprised.
When you finish, your eyelids are droopy and you nuzzle into her willingly, a rarity even before she fucked everything up. She pets you gently.
“Sleepy, little one?” she asks you softly. You nod. “Want a nap?” she asks. You nod again. Between your body being exhausted already and the soothing effects of her milk, she’s not surprised you’re already tired even though you’ve only been awake for a few hours. “Let mommy check your bottom, okay?” she turns you on your tummy. You’re healing nicely. “Do you want a blankie? I think it won’t hurt,” she says. You nod and she covers you with a blanket.
“Mommy stay,” you say when she gets up. And how is she supposed to argue with that? The answer is, she isn’t, so after she turns the lights off, he curls up next to you and holds you close.
“Mommy’s here, little one,” she assures you, finding your favorite stuffie and handing it to you. “Mommy will always be here, don’t you worry.”

Note
on a place of insecurity for the kiss prompt please
you got it my friend :-*
tw for body image self confidence issues
~
Andrew didn't know why he cared. It had never been an issue before. But as he took off his shirt and smoothed his hand down his chest to his stomach, he felt a twinge of - of something. It was unpleasant. Andrew didn't particularly enjoy it.
Andrew let his hand fall to his side as he eyed himself in the mirror for a few seconds longer. Then he grabbed the bottle of pills Betsy prescribed him and shook one of the tiny blue candies into the palm of his hand. He raised it to his mouth, and swallowed it dry.
The living room was a bustle of activity. Neil was on his hands and knees looking for his shoe under the couch and Kevin had his hands full of a suspicious green smoothie that he was trying to coax Neil into trying with him. He was ranting about the merits of protein powder and whatever the hell else he put in it. Andrew didn't know how he could stomach that on top of the breakfast of eggs, bacon, and toast Kevin ate every morning, but he also didn't care enough to ask.
Neil lifted his head when Andrew sauntered into the room. Kevin didn't stop talking, but Neil simply ignored him. He was fully dressed for the gym, though his hair was still a wild mess. In his hand, he triumphantly clutched his missing shoe.
"Hey," Neil said. A smile pulled at the edge of his mouth, a perfect companion to his tussled curls. "Did you take your meds?"
Andrew nodded and bypassed Kevin on the way to the kitchen. He stole a piece of bacon off Kevin's plate and an untouched pancake off Neil's. Andrew knew Neil had left it for him, anyway.
The gym was a sordid affair. A mix up and a scheduling conflict meant the Foxes had to share the gym equipment with the football team. Andrew waited, annoyed, for his turn on the weights. He ran laps on the treadmill next to Neil until a bench opened up for Andrew to take. Andrew switched off his treadmill and inclined his head towards Neil. Without so much as slowing, Neil flashed five fingers at him and increased his speed.
Five minutes later, Neil joined him at the weights section of the gym to spot him. Andrew didn't miss the way Neil's eyes lingered on his chest and biceps as he did his first rep. Andrew focused on the pull and strain of his muscles as he pumped his usual two hundred pounds. Bit by bit, it erased his previous insecurity until it was little more than a buzz in the back of his mind. It didn't hurt that Neil was still watching with half-lidded eyes and a quiet hunger.
Andrew replaced the bar on the hooks and raised his eyebrows at Neil. "If I drop the bar on my neck and die because you were distracted, I'm haunting you," he told him.
Neil ruffled his fingers through Andrew's hair, scattering the sweaty strands in ten different directions and then smoothing them back down again. "I wouldn't let that happen."
Andrew huffed and laid back down on the bench. He completed four more reps and removed some of the weights for Neil to do a few sets before Wymack called an end to gym time.
"Hey, Andrew." Nicky had draped himself over the five pound weights, hand tucked under chin and hair pulled into a small bun at the back of his head. "Do you wanna go to Eden's tonight?"
"Pass," Andrew said.
"Oh, come on," Nicky whined. "Just because you and Kevin can't drink doesn't mean the rest of us can't. Neil?"
"Sorry," Neil said, tone unapologetic.
"Drink at your own place," Andrew said.
"The only alcohol we have is the half-bottle of watered down vodka Matt keeps under the sink. That's not gonna get the three of us drunk."
Andrew blinked at him and Neil shrugged. "Figure it out," they said at the same time.
Nicky threw his hands up in exasperation and retreated.
Back at Fox Tower, Kevin left in a hurry with promises of watching the latest rerun of the Trojan vs Longhorns game with Neil thrown over his shoulder. Neil chased him down the hall until he confirmed they were, in fact, also watching the other games he had recorded. When he returned, he quirked an eyebrow at Andrew and jerked his head toward the bathroom.
"Shower with me?" he said.
That unpleasant feeling swirled in Andrew's belly. He shook his head. "I'll shower after you. Don't hog all the hot water."
Neil accepted that with a nod and placed a firm kiss on Andrew's jaw.
"You know," he said as he shucked his shirt over his head and threw it in the general direction of the bedroom, "I've been thinking of getting Kev those books he's been eyeing for being sober for three months. Do they celebrate three month sobriety?"
Andrew shrugged. "Get them anyway. I don't think I can handle any more drool on the computer keyboard."
"I'll order them today." Neil stepped in the doorway of the bathroom with his shorts balled up in his hands. "Hey. You okay?"
"Peachy."
Neil tilted his head until he caught Andrew's eye. Andrew didn't miss the crease of concern in his eyes. "The antidepressants still making you feel weird?"
"I've been worse."
Neil eyed him until Andrew grew tired of being scrutinized and ushered him toward the waiting shower. Neil left the door open and Andrew cast a lingering glance over his shoulder as he peeled off his boxers and stepped under the hot spray of the shower.
Andrew didn't realize he'd fallen asleep until the sound of Neil rummaging through the drawers for clean clothes woke him.
"Morning," Neil quipped. Andrew squinted at him from under his arms. "Shower's free."
Water beaded on Neil's shoulders and ran down the corded muscles in his back in thin rivulets. They disappeared in the fluffy towel still wrapped around Neil's waist. Neil shook out his hair and looked back in time to catch Andrew staring.
He raised his eyebrows.
Andrew rolled his eyes at Neil's smug expression and pulled him closer by the towel. "Asshole," he said, and kissed him.
Neil planted his hands on either side of Andrew's thighs and let the towel drop to the floor. He hummed and opened his mouth as Andrew directed the kiss with nimble fingertips on his jaw. Neil pulled back with a gasp and began kissing down his neck.
"Neil," Andrew said. His eyes fell shut when Neil sucked at the pulse in his neck. "I haven't showered yet. I'm sweaty and gross."
"We can shower when we're done." Neil pressed a hand against Andrew's back and bit at his collarbone. A surprised gasp slipped past Andrew's teeth.
"You're gross."
"You like it."
Andrew didn't deny it.
Neil worried at a spot on Andrew's throat and reached for the hem of his shirt. Andrew startled at the first brush of Neil's fingers against his bare skin. He jumped and reached for Neil's hands, but Neil was already moving back.
"Andrew?" he asked, looking him up and down, searching for what had triggered this reaction. His chest heaved, skin already flushed a distracting shade of pink. "What's wrong?'
"I don't want to take my shirt off." Andrew wouldn't meet Neil's gaze.
"Okay," Neil said. "Is everything okay?"
Andrew nodded, then shook his head. He chewed on his bottom lip. Neil gently reached out and pulled his lip out from his teeth with his thumb. He waited for Andrew to find the words. Neil was always so patient with him.
"I gained weight," Andrew said. When Neil said nothing, Andrew looked up to find him looking befuddled.
Maybe Neil didn't notice, but Andrew couldn't stop noticing. He knew it was the meds fucking with him, Betsy had said that would be a side effect, but it didn't stop Andrew from being self-conscious. He couldn't help comparing himself to Kevin and his green smoothies and defined abs, or Matt's chiseled chest. Andrew had always been on the heavier side, but it had always been made of muscle, and it had never bothered him before.
He was still strong. He could still protect himself. He was able to lift Neil up against the wall when they were kissing. It shouldn't have mattered.
Neil watched him for a moment longer and said, "Can I try something? I have to take off your shirt."
Andrew hesitated, but he trusted Neil. He nodded and lifted his arms so Neil could pull his shirt off. Then Neil pushed him with a gentle hand on his chest until he was flat on the bed.
The first kiss was right on Andrew's chest, just above his sternum. Neil never broke eye contact when he pressed his lips to his skin. He lingered there for just a heartbeat longer before he shifted so his mouth hovered above Andrew's stomach. His kisses were light, frustratingly so, until he placed a soft kiss onto the soft flesh on Andrew's tummy.
His lips tickled the blond hair there, and Neil left tiny butterfly kisses all over. Around his belly button, his navel, the sides that poked out of his waistband, until Andrew was relaxed and reassured underneath him. His eyes had drifted shut, nearly lulled back to sleep beneath Neil's soft touches.
When he was finished, he pulled himself up until he was face to face with Andrew. Their noses brushed. Andrew stole a kiss from him.
"I love your body," Neil said. "No matter what it looks like."
Andrew brushed the hair back from the side of his face and ran his hands down Neil's sides and over his back to settle above the slope of his ass. He plucked another kiss from Neil's lips. "I still need to shower," he said.
Neil huffed a laugh, pressed their foreheads together, and rolled off him. "Better hurry before Kevin gets back and steals the rest of the water."
"Over my dead body," Andrew sniped and tripped over Neil's discarded clothes in his haste to get a fresh towel. He doubled back to press a kiss to the crown of Neil's head.
"Thank you," he whispered against his hair. He didn't need to say anything else. Neil already understood.

If I Fell For You (Part 17) - We Will Be Alright
Tumblr media
Summary: Jensen and the reader’s long night continues while they take Arrow to have her wrist checked. But some unexpected visitors the next day are a good reminder to them both that they don’t have to go through everything alone...
Masterlist
Pairing: Jensen x nanny!reader
Word Count: 4,900ish
Warnings: language, injury, angst, fluff
A/N: Please enjoy and let me know what you think!
________
“Daddy,” whined Arrow an hour later, curled up in Jensen’s lap. He sighed loudly, big enough for the receptionist to shoot him a dirty look.
“Oh I’m sorry. You got a four year old with a broken wrist back there I don’t know about? How about some pain meds for starters,” he said.
“There’s a pharmacy other side of the parking lot,” you said. He rolled his eyes and Arrow whimpered in her half-sleep again.
“Drive over,” he said, digging his keys out of his pocket and handing them to you. “It’s nearly midnight and I can’t…”
You put the keys back in his sweats pocket, Jensen tilting his head as you got up. You went over to the receptionist desk, getting a dirty look out of her.
“There is a line. The doctor will see her when he sees her,” she said. You put your hands on the counter and smiled.
“Mam I’m having a hell of a day. A hell of a fucking day. Excuse my language but to top off this fucking day, my daughter probably has a broken wrist. She’s in pain. She’s four, she weighs thirty five pounds. Give me some kid’s pain reliever. Please.”
“There’s a pharmacy-”
“You’re a woman so I know you get this. Get what it’s like to be a woman and try to go somewhere at night, by yourself,” you said, her head lifting up. “I was almost assaulted tonight and my fiance over there is still scared and I’m still scared and I don’t want to have to drive over to that pharmacy if I really don’t have to. I know you have the medicine back there. Put it on our bill. Please. I’m just looking for a little good in the world right now. Please.”
“Stay here,” she said. She got up and left, returning with a security guard. You ran a hand over your face and she nodded. “Tell Mike what you want and he’ll go get it for you at the pharmacy.”
“What?”
“I can’t hand out drugs,” she said. “But give Mike some cash and tell him what you want and he’ll go get it. You got another two hours of waiting at least.”
You dug into your pocket and dug out twenty dollars, Mike nodding and saying he’d be back in a few minutes.
“Thank you,” you said as he headed out. You turned to the receptionist and she smiled for the first time all night. “Thanks.”
“Mike walks me to my car end of every shift,” she said. “I’ll try to bump you up in line if I can.”
“Thank you,” you said with a smile. You sat back down next to Jensen, a tiny smile crossing his face. “What?”
“I love mom you,” he said quietly. You reached over and held his hand, his other holding Arrow to his chest. Mike returned ten minutes later and within half an hour Arrow was sleeping soundly.
“Ackles,” said the nurse when she stepped out. You and Jensen looked at one another, knowing you’d gotten there much later than some of the other people waiting.
“I’ve been here for two hours,” said some guy as you got up.
“She’s four,” you said. He grumbled and sat back in his chair, Jensen carrying Arrow back. The nurse took a few measurements and readings before she tried to peel Arrow away.
“No,” she whined, clutching to Jensen with her one good hand.
“Can I go back with her?” asked Jensen.
“Alright. You need a vest,” she said. They were gone for a few minutes before Jensen came back to the room, Arrow still upset.
Twenty minutes later a doctor came in, a forced smile on his face.
“What’s up, Arrow? I heard someone had a little spill,” he said.
“I’m tired,” she growled at him. Jensen bit back a laugh but you didn’t bother to hide your smirk.
“I bet it is past your bedtime quite a bit,” he said. Jensen turned her on his lap and the doctor checked her hand. “Alright mom and dad. Good news is x-rays show it’s not broken. A bad sprain is all. We’re gonna give her a shot for the pain which will probably put her to sleep and something for the swelling. Put her in a wrist brace for a week or so. Come back if it’s irritating her or not getting better.”
“I don’t like shots,” she said. “I want mommy.”
“Alright,” you said, Jensen handing her to you. You held her as the doctor filled up a syringe, her face jammed in your neck. “You know I had a shot today. It was like a little pinch but that was it. Then I felt all better.”
She grumbled but held out her arm, the doctor shaking his head. He wiped off a spot and poked her with it, quickly doing the other one afterwards. Arrow calmed down very quickly and then she was fast asleep.
“Sassy kid,” he said, digging through a cabinet for a brace. Jensen rolled his eyes behind the guy’s back, bouncing his leg like crazy. “Here we go. Put this on when you get home. Children’s pain reliever is fine to give. The worst of it will be gone by the time she wakes up.”
“Awesome,” said Jensen and you knew he was at the end of his rope for the night. Twenty minutes later you were back home, Jared passed out on the couch, the blanket half on the floor. Jensen fixed it back over top of him as you carried Arrow up and to bed. You were able to get her brace on now that her wrist was a normal size again before you headed down to bed. You pulled off your bra, kicked off your sweats and plopped down on top of the covers. Jensen groaned as he shut the door after himself, taking off most of his clothes and laying beside you. He pulled you close and let out a deep breath. “I am so ready for today to be done.”
“Same,” you mumbled.
“You didn’t sleep at all in the waiting room.”
“Worried ‘bout Ro.”
“She’s okay.”
“I know,” you said. You threw an arm over his back and he kissed your forehead. “Love you.”
“Love ya back,” he said. “We’ll sleep in, sweetheart. Get some rest. You need it after today.”
You woke up to the smell of pancakes. You grinned but noticed Jensen still fast asleep beside you. He turned, nose going before he let out an adorable, soft little grunt that made him sound like a kid again.
“I love your voice,” you whispered to him. He grinned and peeled open his eyes.
“It is pretty great,” he chuckled. “Although hearing that first thing everyday has got to be a taste of what heaven is like.”
“Heaven is you waking up to me and Dee in a big ass bed with you smack in the middle.”
“I so call dibs on the middle. My covers will never be stolen from me again you rascals,” he said. He leaned over and kissed you lazily, stroking your cheek. “No nightmares last night.”
“Not so scared anymore,” you said. “I think Jared is making us breakfast.”
“I always knew I loved that lug for a reason. It’s nearly ten. Want to get up?”
“Yeah, I want to see how Arrow’s feeling,” you said. You stretched out, arms reaching overhead. Jensen took the opportunity to scoot close, smashing his chest against yours. Your noses were touching, Jensen smiling and leaving kitten kisses on your lips. “How are you feeling?”
“Okay. Honestly I’m probably going to be a bit clingy the next few days. I don’t want you to ever be afraid to ask for my help again.”
“I have a sort of big ask,” you said. He nodded and you ran your fingers through his short strands. “Can you deal with the lawyer and all that stuff with my dad?”
“Absolutely,” he said with a smile. “I’ll take care of it all.”
“Thanks. I don’t want to claim him or whatever. I don’t care what happens to him. I never want to see him again.”
“I know what you want. Don’t worry at all. I’ll get it dealt with,” he said. You smiled and shut your eyes, giving him a peck on the lips. “I think we have some fresh raspberries to go with those pancakes.”
“Sounds yummy,” you said, stomach grumbling. “I sort of had whiskey for dinner.”
“How about I make you a nice homemade meal for dinner tonight. You, me, the kids. Something nice and quiet and simple.”
“I can get behind that,” you said, a thud echoing from downstairs. “Alright. Time to get up before Jared destroys the kitchen.”
Jensen reluctantly rolled out of bed, the both of you changing into some comfortable clothing for the day. He smirked when you finished throwing your hair into a ponytail and threw you on his back, carrying you downstairs.
He set you down to your feet, the kids all at the table eating with Jared but someone else was working away at the stove.
“Josh?” said Jensen. “What are you doing here?”
“Is that any way to greet your big brother?” he said. “Pancakes?”
“Yeah, sure,” you said, checking Arrow’s wrist in her brace.
“I gave her half a pill with breakfast,” said Jared. “She’s a tough cookie.”
“Feeling better?” you asked, getting a head nod as her mouth was stuffed full of pancake.
“Not that I’m not happy to see you but don’t you have work?” asked Jensen, taking a seat at the counter. You joined him, Josh sliding a plate of pancakes in front of you.
“People get this thing called sick leave and vacation, actor boy,” teased Josh, tossing some in front of Jensen. He plopped the syrup in front of you both and some knives and forks, whistling to himself.
“Just so you know, you’re on the news,” said Jared.
“Who’s on the news?” asked Jensen.
“Guys why don’t we go finish breakfast on the patio,” said Jared. You raised an eyebrow as he scurried the kids downstairs and outside.
“Josh. What’s going on?” asked Jensen. His brother sighed and turned off the stovetop, spinning around and leaning against the island. “What news?”
His eyes darted over to yours, staring too long.
“Last night. It’s on the news isn’t it. My dad,” you said.
“I was taking the dog out around five thirty this morning. I looked at my phone. Seeing your name on CNN was not what I was expecting,” he said. “I guess TMZ got it first and then it exploded from there.”
“Why do people even care? I’m not a household name,” said Jensen.
“I know. Mom and dad hope it’s just a blip and it goes away by the end of the day,” said Josh. “They’re here too by the way, freshening up in the in law suite.”
“What did the news say?” you asked. He shrugged and stared at the quartz counter, dragging his finger over top of it. “Josh.”
“It said your dad almost attacked you last night and Jensen stopped it and then it said he died and then it went into a bit of detail about how your dad was...that he did stuff to you as a kid.”
“Lovely,” you said, shaking your head and shoving a pancake in your mouth.
“Jared said it’s true.”
“Yeah,” said Jensen. “Are you okay?”
You stopped chewing and stared at him before swallowing a big piece.
“Compared to yesterday, I’m awesome. You know what? Who cares? I don’t,” you said.
“Well that’s good to hear,” said Jensen. Josh hummed and you both looked at him.
“You two weren’t exactly public with the whole engaged thing yet.”
“No one knew we were dating but you know what? Like Y/N said, who cares,” said Jensen. “I’m more concerned about the fact apparently everyone in my family drove down at dawn over a news story.”
“Fuck Jensen. We came down because that’s a hell of a thing to go through on it’s own but it wasn’t just Y/N that went through it. You did too. So don’t worry about the kids the next few days. We got this. Take care of each other.”
“Alright,” said Jensen. “Message received loud and clear.”
You spotted his parents come around the corner from the hallway to your old bedroom, both of them giving you a smile.
“How are you sweetie?” asked his mom. She bypassed Jensen though and went straight to giving you a hug.
“Uh, okay,” you said. “Better than yesterday.”
“Anything we can get you?” she asked.
“I told you not to make a big deal out of it,” said Jensen’s dad. “Treat the kids normally. I’m sure that’s what they want.”
“We’re fine,” you said. “But we appreciate the offer.”
“We’re going to stay the weekend. I thought I’d make a big dinner for everyone tonight,” she said.
“Well I was planning on making a quiet dinner for the five of us before I knew we’d have guests,” said Jensen, the door front door opening and Ray walking in. “Is this just a free for all now?”
“Morning guys,” said Ray. “Jared said I could head in. I wanted to drop by while I had a break, check on you two. I heard about the news and Arrow’s wrist.”
“We’re having a lovely morning Ray as you can tell,” said Jensen. He rolled his eyes and went back to his breakfast, Ray glancing at Jensen’s parents and brother. “Ray, these are my parents, Alan, Donna, and my brother Josh. Everyone, Ray.”
“Nice to meet you,” said his dad, shaking Ray’s hand.
“Likewise. Y/N, you sure you’re good?” he asked. You gave him a thumbs up and finished off your last bite. “Alright. Call me at the office if you change your mind. Oh and Sarah and I were wondering if you guys wanted to come over for dinner. We can keep it relaxed.”
“Why doesn’t everyone have dinner here?” you asked. “Ray, maybe you can help Jensen’s mom. Sound good Jensen?”
“As long as they don’t hover over us all day, I don’t care,” said Jensen. Ray stared at you and you shook your head.
“He’s grumpy in the morning,” you said, hearing that statement echoed from his parents and brother.
“Alright,” said Ray with a chuckle. “Although I’m not surprised. Reminds me of a certain someone else.”
“Y/N, you got a sec?” asked Alan. You nodded and walked over to a quiet corner of the family room, crossing your arms. “I know I’ve apologized for this before but-”
“Please don’t apologize again then, Alan,” you said. “We’re past that.”
“You weren’t exaggerating when you called your father a monster at the house a few weeks ago.”
“I know bad people. You’re not one of them. I’ll always be able to forgive a good person that makes a bad decision. I don’t want to talk about that ever again. I want to move forward.”
“Me too which is why I’m particularly sorry about how we acted in retrospect. You said Jensen wanted to share us with you and I understand too well now why that was so important to him. I know we made mistakes and I am not a perfect father and she’s not a perfect mother, but if you ever want one, you can know what a real one is like.”
“Thank you Alan. I think I’ll take you guys up on that. If you’re willing to share,” you said with a smile. He cocked his head and you looked over at Ray.
“He’s not just a concerned friend is he.”
“Ray was my therapist as a kid. He’s kinda Jensen’s too whenever he needs a call,” you said. He nodded and gave him a smile. “He was my mom’s boyfriend.”
“He’s your old foster dad?” he asked. You nodded and he smiled. “I’m certainly willing to share with him.”
“Thanks. I appreciate it.”
“You do realize this means you’re getting you’re own weekly phone calls now.”
“I’m okay with that,” you said. “Um, one thing away from everyone else. Your son...Jensen...I’m only just learning this parent thing-”
“You never stop.”
“I suppose not. But Jensen is...I just have to say this after last night...he’s good. He’s brave and kind and he knows when to be strong and when to be gentle and...he’s a good man. He will be vulnerable when he doesn't want to and he’ll show restraint when he has every right not to. I know part of that is who he is but part of it comes from his parents. There’s no such thing as a perfect person but you guys got pretty close in raising one.”
“We can’t take all the credit. Other people influence your children as well, including who they choose to spend their life with. We had him in the first part. Now you take it from here.”
“Very difficult to take care of that boy sometimes,” you said.
“Yes, yes he is. I’ll send you his mom’s soup recipe for the next time he’s sick. Only thing grumples ever let us do for him when he was ill when he got older.”
“He’s trying to not shove everything down so much. That’s all I can ask.”
“You don’t care that he’s an actor.”
“He also owns a business. A brewery. A production company. They make pizza at the brewery too which could be it’s own business really. He sings.”
“Y/N.”
“He could sit in a cubicle all day, he could work on a construction site, he could do anything. We wouldn’t live in a house like this and we’d worry about money and retirement and saving for college and the kids. We could have nothing and it wouldn’t change a thing about him to me.”
“You really think so?”
“I made him a cup of coffee when we met. He got me a birthday cake a few days later. We sang, had ice cream. It’s not cause the cake tasted amazing that I started to fall for him. It’s that he cared enough to show a bit of kindness he was under no obligation at all to have. I really don’t care if we live in a huge house or a freaking tent. I just want him and the kids, that’s all.”
“I’m happy you two found each other, even if it had to come from tragedy.”
“He knows I’m willing to share him with another woman...in that particular circumstance.”
“So where did your kindness come from then? Your mother?” he asked.
“Her a lot for sure,” you said, looking back into the kitchen, getting a quick smile from Ray. “Someone else. I think you and Ray would get along.”
“I think I’m going to have to,” he said with a smile. Jensen walked over and sighed, wrapping his arms around you. “Are we smothering you already?”
“No,” mumbled Jensen, resting his head on your shoulder. “Not much in the mood to host a dinner party is all.”
“We’re hosting. We’re just using your kitchen is all,” he said. “Why don’t you two get out of the house, take the day to yourselves, come home around seven or so for dinner.”
“Dad.”
“I think that’s a great idea,” said Ray, slapping Jensen’s back. “Go have fun.”
“We could take the boat out,” you said.
“Perfect,” said Ray. “Why don’t you gather up your stuff and head out?”
“Why are you kicking us out of our own house?” asked Jensen.
“Joshua! Make sure your brother stays out of the house until dinner?” said his dad.
“Thanks Jenny,” sighed Josh.
“Josh locked me in my old room last time I was at your house,” said Jensen.
“Joshua. You’re a grown man,” said his mom.
“Tattle tale,” said Josh, Jensen sticking out his tongue.
“We will go have a relaxing day with Josh on the boat, okay?” you said. “Come on boys. Let’s leave the adults to themselves.”
“Alright but tell Jared he can go home. He’s been here all night and he needs a break too,” said Jensen.
“You’re an idiot,” said Jared as he jogged up the stairs. “Why are they still here?”
“I have the sneaking suspicion that something is going on we don’t quite know about,” you said.
“A pair of geniuses you two are,” mumbled Josh. You punched his arm lightly and he pouted. “I’m gonna give you a noogie for that. Your free pass period is officially over.”
“Bicker anywhere else but here,” said Donna. “Now out of the house the three of you. You can come back to a lovely dinner later on.”
Two Hours Later
“Josh,” asked Jensen from beside you where you were laying out on the boat. You heard him hum from where he was lounging in his seat. “What’s going on?”
“I’ve been sworn to secrecy.”
“Dude. Siblings before parents, you know that.”
“I’m an only child and even I know that,” you said.
“Alright. I guess mom and dad called Jared on their way up this morning and Jared called Ray cause apparently they talked some last night or something and then I got pulled into the phone call and they’re planning a surprise engagement party for the two of you to try and take your minds off of all the shit that happened last night. It’s just mom and dad and then Ray and his wife and kids. I’m heading home after I’m done babysitting you two.”
“You won’t get home until at least ten.”
“I got work tomorrow,” he said. “Besides, you can handle mom and dad on your own right? You got Y/N now to have your back.”
“Josh would you stay the night?” you asked as you sat up. You pushed up your sunglasses and he nodded. “Thank you.”
“Y/N, he only gets like two weeks vacation a year and a week sick time. He shouldn’t-”
“You do know I’m putting in my notice tomorrow, right?” he said. Jensen shot up and dropped his jaw. “I got me a consulting job. Better hours, better pay, time off whenever I want. I’m almost like you except better looking.”
You snorted, Jensen smacking your thigh.
“Y/N, it’s okay. You can admit I’m the far more handsome brother,” said Josh.
“Far more revolting is more like it,” said Jensen. He fiddled with the bottom of his shorts and shrugged. “Are you sure you can do that? Only you worked and-”
“Worried or something?”
“Well you’ve never accepted my offer to pay off your mortgage. Even mom and dad accepted it when I gave it to them.”
“You gave it as a christmas present in front of everyone so they couldn’t say no. Besides, they’re our parents. I gotta show the kids you gotta work hard, can’t expect someone else to come in and do it for you.”
“Fine. But I’m giving you money for their college degrees or trade school or whatever they want to do.”
“Jensen.”
“No, that’s Uncle Jensen and Aunt Y/N helping out.”
“Jensen.”
“A year ago you were helping me take a shower cause I couldn’t do it by myself. You were helping me cook and clean and take care of the kids.”
“You don’t owe me for that.”
“You’re still my brother and let me give you something so you can have that better job and not worry about health insurance. Trust me. I’ve seen the plans you consultants have to work from and you pay a lot more than your normal job would have...wait. Work at the brewery.”
“Excuse me?”
“Work at the brewery. We give benefits for part time employees. You could do inventory and invoices a few hours a week right if you’re working less and you can be covered at a better rate.”
“Jensen.”
“You gotta take it. Come on. You can work from home off your laptop.” Josh looked at you and you shrugged.
“He does have a point, Josh. I’ve been a consultant and paying for your own benefits sucks. Besides, it’s The Family Business.”
“If I take this job, you stop trying to pay off my mortgage.”
“No,” said Jensen with a smile. “I broke Mack. I’ll get you too.”
“Why’s this so important to you?” he asked.
“Cause all the money in the world means nothing without the people you care about. Spend more time with the kids. Spend more time with us. I’m gonna be home more, try to be a better brother to my actual brother too.”
“Eh, fuck it. Who cares if I’m late tomorrow? I’m quitting. I’ll hang out tonight,” he said with a smile.
“That’s great! See Jensen? Hanging out with your more handsome older brother has been a nice day,” you teased. Jensen narrowed his eyes and pushed you, sliding you right off the edge of the boat and into the water. “Jensen Ross! I just bought those sunglasses last week!”
“Whoops,” he teased. Both boys leaned over the edge, Josh smirking at Jensen.
“Oh you make it too easy, Jenny.” Josh pushed Jensen right on in, laughing by the time he broke the surface.
“Dickhead,” said Jensen, splashing him back. You held out a hand and Josh reached down to grab it. You pulled him over the edge and down into the water, Jensen high fiving you. “Ah, I love you so much.”
“What was that for,” said Josh.
“No free pass,” you said.
“Yeah I knew I liked you,” he said. Jensen swam out a bit and you tsked him. “Stay near the boat, dude.”
“I’m fine.”
“Jay,” he said. Jensen turned and swam back over. “Let’s take the boat for a spin for a bit?”
“Sure. Give Y/N a chance to drive her for once.”
“Hey Y/N,” said Josh as you headed back from the docks on the short drive home. “Mind if I ask a personal question?”
“Shoot,” you said from the backseat.
“Do you think people are gonna have a problem with you being younger than Jensen?”
“I think people would have a problem no matter how old I was. I really don’t care what people think about me and your brother.”
“Do you like older guys?”
“Jensen’s the only guy with that big an age gap I’ve been with. I just like him.”
“Older guys better?”
“Dude, don’t ask that,” said Jensen.
“I didn’t mean that, gutter brain. I meant like...better overall.”
“I don’t know about older in general but yeah, he’s better. Not a bad best friend.”
“What made you fall in love like two puppy dogs?”
“Josh,” groaned Jensen.
“I’m getting to know my soon to be sister!”
“If you must know your brother has a big dick,” you said. He turned around in his seat, Jensen cracking up as he turned down the street. “Be careful what you want to know, Josh.”
“I think I liked it better when you were nervous around me,” he said.
“Honestly Josh, he started to become my best friend was all.”
“That’s normally a pretty good reason.”
“Home sweet home,” said Jensen, pulling into the driveway. “I’m starving.”
“Same,” you said. You noticed a distinct lack of cars though and Jensen was turning to his brother by the time he was parked.
“We are eating dinner here, aren’t we?” he asked.
“Oh you and the kiddos are,” he said. He hopped out and climbed in his truck, putting the window down. “I think I’m getting the hang of this acting thing.”
“What-”
“Go on inside,” he said, waving and backing out.
“What the fuck,” said Jensen. You both hurried inside, finding Jared spooning some food onto Arrow’s plate. “What-”
“Perfect timing,” said Jared, handing Arrow her plate. She headed over to the table while Jared smirked and gave you both a quick hug. “Chicken. Pasta. Salad and dessert is in the freezer. Enjoy guys.”
“Josh said…”
“Yeah. He did, didn’t he,” smirked Jared. “Enjoy your quiet evening guys.”
“Did we get conned out of an engagement party?” you said, locking up after Jared left. Jensen scratched his head, dropping his hand away.
“He must have texted them, told them our original plans,” said Jensen.
“Jared!” you called out the front door, stopping him by his truck. “Where is everybody?”
“Don’t worry about it,” he said. You pouted and he threw his head back. “We’re having dinner at my place. Josh said you guys wanted to be left alone tonight.”
“Well what if we changed our minds?” asked Jensen. Jared cocked his head and Jensen shrugged. You gave him a nod and smile, Jared biting his bottom lip.
“We were the ones that intruded.”
“Yeah well that’s what family does,” said Jensen. “We hid away all day. I’m in the mood to be smothered by family if Y/N is.”
“Is Ray there?” you asked, Jared nodding. “Why don’t we let the kids eat since they’ve already started and we’ll be over for dessert?”
“You guys sure?” asked Jared. “Seriously, if you guys need space-”
“I think we need to be with our family now,” you said. “We’ll be by in a little bit.”
“Alright. We’ll see you guys soon.”

Drunk Face (A Halstead brothers + Halstead sister! Imagine)
"Bye Y/N," Jay started as he grabbed his last duffle bag from beside the kitchen table. "Make good choices. Don't do anything stupid. Will's on shift tonight, but best believe I will find service if I get a call from him saying you got brought into Med or from a fellow cop saying that you got picked up."
"Jay, relax. I'll be fine. This isn't my first weekend staying home alone by myself," you said.
"Yes, but it's the first time you'll be home alone for the weekend when you're 21. That's what I worry about."
"Who says I didn't drink when I was home alone before I was 21?"
"Excuse me?" Jay asked, setting his duffle back down on the floor.
"I'm kidding. I wouldn't try that with you as my brother. If it was just Will, maybe."
"Nice to know I'm the stricter one."
"Jay, babe," Hailey asked as she walked back into the apartment, "you ready?"
"Yeah, just telling Y/N to make good choices," he replied as he picked up his bag once more.
"No, he just doesn't trust me, that's what this is, Hailey," you said.
"Jay, be nice to Y/N. She's a good kid. She'll be fine," Hailey said and brushed her arm up against Jay.
"She's 21."
"Pretty sure she only drinks seltzers. It's hard to get drunk super fast off of those unless you shotgun them."
"What's that?"
"Nothing!" they both exclaimed.
"Okay, okay. I'll just google it." Jay opened the door and let Hailey out first and then followed her out. "Have fun! Use protection!" you yelled before you closed the door.
"My God," Jay laughed. "You've been spending way too much time with Adam."
"Leave! Make smart choices!" Then, you closed the door behind them for a weekend by yourself.
A few hours later you got home from the liquor store with your premade mango Jose Cuervo margarita. First, you grabbed a lemon-y kind of beer from the mini-fridge where Jay kept all the alcohol. You drank that with your dinner. Then, you turned on your favorite tv show and poured yourself a glass of that mango margarita.
***
God, you didn't even feel that drunk. You had drank a can of that beer and two and a half glasses of that mango margarita...which was about 1/2-2/3 of the bottle...and it was a big bottle.
You walked upstairs to go to the bathroom. You were a little buzzed, but not as bad as one time when you drank a margarita and three white claws. And, you drank those fast and you just fell asleep with a dopey, drunk smile on your face. You were hungover the next day, but you were just tired; you'd never thrown up from drinking before. You just kept your buzz going for a bit.
But, when you sat on the toilet and started going to the bathroom, you felt sweat start to bead on your face. "Aw, shit," you muttered.
You took a deep breath and stood up to wash your hands. As you were standing up, you started to get hot and your stomach started to hurt. The world seemed to spin a bit, too. So, after you washed your hands, you just laid down on the fluffy, light blue rug of the bathroom, breathing in and out slowly and occasionally groaning in pain.
Eventually, you decided to stand up, grab some water, and made your way to your room. Since you were already in your pajamas, you just went right to bed, after all, it was after midnight.
You laid in bed and tried to get the pain in your stomach to stop by changing positions and jamming your knee into your stomach.
Bad plan.
You felt the familiar feeling of a lump rising in your throat. But, you were so tired and buzzed that you hoped this wouldn't happen.
But, then it did, all the alcohol came up and out of your mouth, leaving you with the stale taste of margarita in your mouth and vomit all over your shirt and bedsheets.
God, you thought of just falling asleep right there. But, that was disgusting.
So, you grabbed your phone and made your way to the bathroom. You were still sweating, practically panting at this point while you leaned over the toilet, just trying to keep it down.
This was hell.
This had never happened before...and you had drank the same amount before.
Something was wrong.
Maybe it was the fact you just started a new acne medication a week ago. Yeah, that was probably it. It had to be that, it just had to be.
You heaved and then puked again.
Once you were finished, you grabbed your phone from the bathroom counter. You couldn't call Will. He was on shift and if he had to come, he'd most definitely tell Jay and then he'd never let you stay home alone overnight again.
So, you chose a different number: Kim Burgess.
"C'mon...pick up..." you muttered.
"Hello?"
Shit, that wasn't Kim. It was Adam. Had you called the wrong number? Were they sleeping together? You knew they were basically together, but to find out in this kind of way was kind of weird. Were they--
"Y/N? Hello?" Adam asked again.
"Y/N's calling?" you heard Kim say in the background.
You felt the familiar lump in your throat and puked again.
"Y/N! Are you okay? Are you there?" Adam asked frantically.
"Put it on speaker," you heard Kim say.
"Y/N, you're on speaker. What's going on?"
You wiped your mouth. "I- I drank too much and I'm on a new acne medication and I'm throwing up and I can't call Will because he's working and I don't know what to do," you rushed out before you could puke again. "Can you come over?"
"We'll be right there. Hang tight, kid," Adam said. "Me and Kim are on our way."
"You need us to stay on the phone, Y/N?" Kim asked.
"No, I- I should be fine until you get here."
"Okay, we'll be there soon."
One of the two hung up the phone and you started to feel hot again, but your stomach didn't hurt. And, even though laying on the rug of your bathroom with alcohol-smelling vomit on your shirt wasn't the best idea, you did it anyway because you were so tired.
***
"He's gotta be the stupidest person alive to put his spare key above his door. That's where everyone puts it. Dumbass," Adam said to Kim as they stood outside your apartment door.
"Adam, just open the damn door," Kim told him.
Adam reached the key and unlocked the door. "Alexa, play Drunk Face by Machine Gun Kelly," Adam joked.
"Adam! Not the time!"
Kim started walking around the apartment, trying to find you. "Y/N, where are you? It's Kim and Adam, no one's broken in. It's just us. We're here to help."
"Kim," Adam whispered. He nodded his head towards the bathroom door.
Kim threw herself to the floor and looked through the tiny crack. "She's in there. She's laying down."
Adam immediately went to open the door.
"Shit," he said when he saw you lying there with your eyes closed, vomit all on your shirt.
"Mhm, don't tell Will and Jay," you groaned.
"Oh thank God, she's conscious," Adam said.
"Y/N, can you stand up so we can get you out of these clothes? Maybe take a shower?" Kim suggested.
"Tired," you told her.
"I know, I know you're tired. But we have to get you out of these clothes before you can go to bed," Kim said. You groaned again. "How about Adam goes and grabs you a new shirt and then I help you into the shower. How does that sound?"
"Okay."
"Adam?"
"On it."
When Adam went to your room, he was immediately hit by the smell of vomit. You had planned on washing your sheets once you had cleaned yourself up, but you felt so bad, that you had just left it and figured you'd get to it when you finally got yourself up and out of the bathroom.
He quickly rifled through your dresser and found a t-shirt. Then, he went back upstairs to find the door closed, so he quickly knocked on it.
Kim had helped you take your shirt off and had thrown it in the sink. You were currently standing up, back facing her, as you waited for Adam to come back with your clean t-shirt.
"Babe, I grabbed the shirt. She okay in there?" Adam asked.
"Just about to take a shower," Kim answered. "Hand it to me when I open the door."
Kim opened the door and Adam handed her the shirt and then she handed it to you.
"Am I good to leave here, Y/N? Or do you need help?" Kim asked.
"I'll be fine," you told her. "But please don't tell Jay or Will."
"Y/N, you got drunk and went over your limits everyone does it. It's—"
"Please," you begged.
"Just, take a shower. We'll figure this out later."
"Okay."
Then, Kim left the bathroom and you took a shower.
"She puked on her bed," Adam said.
"She doesn't want us to tell Jay or Will," Kim said at the same time.
"Okay, wait," Adam started, "say yours again."
"She doesn't want us to tell Jay or Will," Kim said.
"Why not? Everyone does it at least once when they first start out drinking."
"I don't know. Maybe she didn't want to disappoint them?"
"Could be. So, do we tell them or not?"
"I mean, she asked us not to, and I don't think we should. She trusts us enough to call us, so I think we shouldn't break that trust."
"I guess you're right. But, we have another problem."
"And what's that?" Kim asked.
"She tossed her cookies on her sheets."
"Shit, okay," Kim sighed.
"Hey, thanks for coming," you said as you walked out of the bathroom five minutes later in clean pajamas. It's not like you had to wash your hair or anything, just your body.
"You're welcome," Kim said. She pulled a chair out from under the kitchen table and sat down. "Honey, Adam saw your sheets when he walked into your room to grab you a shirt. Do you need any help with that?"
"No, I was gonna clean it up and then I puked and I got hot and then I took a shower and—"
"Y/N, it's okay. We know you're exhausted because you just got all sick. So, how about you strip your bed and throw your sheets in the washer and me and Adam will make your bed. How's that sound?"
You nodded. "Thank you guys so much. And, you guys can take the margarita mix if you want. I never wanna taste that stuff again."
"Don't mind if we do."
"Adam!" Kim smacked him on the chest.
"What? Free alcohol."
"God, you're a college kid in a thirty-year-old's body."
"That's right. Now, let's get this college kid to bed."
***
"Ruz, where'd you get this?" Kevin asked when he saw the leftover margarita on Adam's desk that he brought to share with the unit.
"Oh, Y/N gave it to us when me and Kim went over to help her Friday night when she got shitfaced and puked all over," Adam answered casually.
Kim smacked his chest. "Adam!" She glanced over at Jay who was making his way over to them, an angry expression on his face.
"Y/N got shitfaced this weekend?" Jay asked as he crossed his arms over his chest and gave Adam a stern look.
"Well, it wasn't really shitfaced because she was still fully conscious and lucid. She was a bit buzzed, and she puked."
"And you know this how?"
"Jay," Kim started, "she did the right thing. She didn't know what to do, so she called an adult."
"She called both of you?" Jay asked.
"Well, uh, she called me but Adam picked up since we were at my apartment..." Kim trailed off.
"Gotcha," Jay said. "Well, I'm glad you helped her. Thanks for that. But me and Will will definitely be having a conversation with her tonight."
***
"So, how was Wisconsin?" you asked as you, Jay, and Will sat down to eat some paninis you and Jay had cooked up later that night.
"It was great," Jay answered.
"What'd you do?"
"Went on the boat, slept in, jumped off in the lake, Hailey made cinnamon rolls, the usual," Jay answered.
"Do you two remember when you guys had me jump off in the middle of the lake without a life jacket?" you asked.
"Oh, yeah," Will laughed. "We had our asses handed to us by Mom after that."
"We gonna jump off, Will?" Eight-year-old you asked your oldest brother who had just come home from college for summer break.
"Duh," Jay replied. "That's the best part, silly!"
"Yes! That's so much fun!" You grabbed your little life jacket and Jay helped you into the boat because sometimes you'd get scared you'd fall into the water in the space between the boat and the dock.
"When can I drive the boat?" you asked as you sat down next to Jay and Will sat in the captain's chair and started backing the boat out.
"When you're eighteen," Will answered.
"But that's ten years!" you protested. "That's too long!"
"It'll go by fast," Jay promised.
"No, it won't." Jay just laughed at your remark.
Ten minutes later, you were out in the middle of the lake and Will was dropping anchor while Jay set up the ladder.
Once that was all set, Jay jumped off the boat without a life jacket. You followed him, but with a life jacket of course. After a few jumps, you took your life jacket off while you took a sip of your red kool-aid. You didn't have to wear your life jacket unless you were in the water. The boys were currently standing on the boat about to jump off again, but they started whispering amongst the two of them.
"Hey, Y/N," Jay started, "What do you think about jumping off the boat without a life jacket?"
"So, like you Will? Like big kids?" you asked, cocking your head to the side.
"Exactly. Will would be in the water and I'd be up here and you'd just jump to him."
"I dunno. Mom and Dad always told me to wear my life jacket when I jump off. I don't wanna get in trouble."
"You won't."
Will jumped in the water and swam a bit further away than usual so you had room to jump in. "C'mon, Y/N! You've taken swimming lessons, you can do it!" he encouraged.
"I- I dunno, Will. How deep is it?"
"Um," he faltered. "Maybe ten of me?"
There's no way you'd be able to touch that!
"You'll be fine," Jay reassured. "Will will be right there. But, you gotta swim to him."
"He won't catch me? But, what if the water monsters get me and pull me under?"
"There's no water monsters," Jay told you.
But, if the water was as deep as Jay said it was, then how does he know?
"I changed my mind," you said quickly. "I want my life jacket back."
"Y/N, you'll be fine," Jay told you.
"No!" you wailed and reached for your life jacket, but Jay grabbed it and threw it in the water to Will.
"If you want it, you have to get it from Will," he told you."
"No!" your lip started to tremble and tears started to form in your eyes. "You get it!"
"Nope, it's yours. You get it."
"But you threw it!"
"And I'm gonna throw you in!"
You tried to run away, but it was too late. And, where would you go? You were on a boat after all.
"J--" You tried to yell, but you were already flying through the air and into the lake without a life jacket.
You hated the feeling of falling into the water without getting pulled back up immediately because of your life jacket. You had swallowed water, too so that wasn't helpful. You kicked your little legs as hard as you could to get back above the water, and when you did, you coughed and sputtered, trying to get the water out of your mouth and take in some much-needed air.
"Shit, Jay!" you heard Will yell as he quickly swam over to you with your life jacket and grabbed you by the waist. "Why'd you do that?" Then, he turned his attention to you. "It's okay, you're okay. Just breathe. I've got you. I've got you."
He set one hand on your back as you started climbing the ladder and then climbed up after you. Then, he shoved Jay in the water.
"What the hell, man?" Jay exclaimed when he broke the surface.
"Dude, I didn't know you were gonna throw her in! Mom's gonna kill you!"
"No, she's gonna kill us! You just swam there and let it happen!"
"You didn't jump off the boat without a parent there for a long time after that," Jay stated.
"And for good reason! I could've drowned!" you argued.
"Will was there. He would've gotten you."
"That's not the point! And I'm pretty sure that's the same logic Mom used when she took your car keys away from you for the rest of the summer and didn't let Will's girlfriend stay over when she was visiting him."
You ate your food for a bit and then Jay turned to you. "So, Y/N, we need to talk."
You gulped. There's no way Adam and Kim told him what happened! They promised!
"About what?" you asked.
"About you getting drunk on Friday night and calling Kim and Adam because you got sick," Jay explained.
"I don't know what you're--"
"Cut the bullshit. Adam told us in the bullpen today. So, I suggest you explain what happened."
So, you explained because you knew not to argue with Jay when he used that tone.
"Y/N, do you know about proofs on alcohol?" Jay asked.
"No, what are those?"
"It's the amount of alcohol in a drink. For example, seltzers typically have 3-5% alcohol in them, but margaritas like the one you apparently bought that Adam has now, has about 19% alcohol."
You widened your eyes. "So, I can't just go on how many glasses I'm drinking?"
"No way. Why do you think shots come in tiny glasses? Because they have lots of alcohol in a small volume."
"Oh, oops. Sorry."
"Y/N," Will started, "This isn't an oops thing. You could've seriously died from that if you kept drinking." You furrowed your eyebrows. "There's this thing called alcohol poisoning. It's when you drink too much alcohol in a short amount of time, so your body can't filter it in your liver fast enough. And, you just got on a new acne medication, so that's also filtered in your liver. Because of this, your liver's working overtime, which could be why you didn't feel super drunk but still threw up."
"Oh, okay." You knew you sounded dismissive, but you were embarrassed about what you'd done.
"Don't you get that this was dangerous?" Jay asked. "You could've died if you kept going!"
"Jay--"
"No, she needs to know this, Will. If you kept drinking, then you could've gotten seriously sick and had to go to the hospital! That's why bartenders cut people off: so they don't get sick because people can die from alcohol poisoning!"
"I'm sorry, okay! I'm embarrassed because I didn't think I even had that much and I didn't even know what a proof was!"
Jay's eyes softened. "Y/N, we're just trying to protect you. Why do you think we told you all that stuff about not leaving your drink unattended at a bar or watching the bartender make your drink and not just taking it from someone? It's because we're trying to keep you safe, Short Stack."
You nodded. "You're right. I really am sorry. And, you don't have to worry about me drinking a lot until I'm off that medication...or ever really."
Will chuckled. "Yeah, we figured as much."
A/N: I threw a few requests together and this is what I came up with. I wrote this in a day btw. (Also, I did get drunk like this once and I'm pretty sure it was because of the combination of the acne medication and the alcohol. Always drink responsibly and only drink if you're of the legal drinking age.) Anyway, thanks for reading and please reblog/like and comment and tell me what you think! As, always, just tell me if you want to be added to my taglist and I'll add you!

You didn’t understand what people saw in the Avengers. They were annoying and had no concept of personal space.
Or maybe those were just your thoughts. You’ve been living with them ever since quarantine started, finally able to convince your parents that you were capable of living alone, you were an avenger, after all. Well you weren’t really living alone, as the people in question along with your boyfriend, Spider-Man lived with you.
Never were you ever glad that May Parker, the angel, had allowed you two to stay together (without much embarrassment).
Back to the point where you got no privacy. For example:
“Peterrrr” you whined, elongating his name to get his attention. You had been horny all day long, craving some semblance of touch from your extremely sweet, hot, amazing, beautiful boyfriend.
He hummed, not even looking up from the laptop he was typing on. He was laying on his side, so you tried to shimmy yourself between the little space on the couch and him, only to grunt when he wouldn’t move.
So you tried something else, because fuck the Avengers you wanted a dick now.
“Petey petey pie,” you whispered, tracing his abs from under his t-shirt. You knew your trick would work, because you could feel them clench.
“Y/N, not here sweetheart.” He muttered, holding your hand while he continued to ignore you.
Pouting, you huffed and flopped back as much as you could.
“You promised you would be free tonight! Gah you’re such a nerd!” You whined, rolling your eyes when you saw Nat entered the living room.
At first she ignored you both, sipping at her milkshake and walking towards the kitchen.
“You chose me and not Harry remember? Thought you were into nerds not gonna lie.” He smirked, his voice low, the kind that had you clenching without a thought.
“And? Are you questioning my choices? Come on Petey you can do your homework later.” You said.
You climbed on top of him, your foot purposefully catching his dick. By now you were practically on his chest , tracing circles around his nipples.
Smirking, you continued to pepper his exposed neck with featherlight kisses, making sure to moan every now and then.
“Y/N, what are you doing?” He clenched his jaw, huffing to show that your kisses were not affecting him.
“Well you’re being a party pooper, so I’m having mine.” You muttered, voice muffled as you slid your hands inside his t-shirt, scratching your fingers against his chest.
Grunting, he gently pushed you off, sitting up with his laptop on his legs, “Y/N this is important."
Mouth open now, you puffed your cheeks, folding your hands on your chest.
"Can you believe this dude?!” You shouted, looking at Nat while pointing at your smirking boyfriend, “he chooses homework over sex!”

Sipping at your drink, you smiled at the scene in front of you. It was almost half a year under quarantine, and Tony had finally agreed to host a party, albeit an internal one with only the Avengers, and May, now that she was out of duty from the hospital.
“How’re you feeling babe?” Peter appeared, wrapping his hands around your stomach, resting his nose on the crook of your neck.
Sighing, you leaned onto his head, enjoying the way he kissed your neck, caressing your waist with his thumbs.
“I’m good, things are getting normal again, if only the president caught the virus, this country would be a much better place.” You snorted, feeling your back vibrate as he laughed.
“You hate him so much don’t you?” He said.
“He’s hate worthy.” You shrugged, turning around to wrap your hands around his neck, playing with the baby hair on the nape.
Leaning forward, you hummed against his lips, crading your hands through his hair as he pushed you into his chest, fingers playing with the hem of your pants.
“Someone’s gonna walk in on us.” You mutter against his mouth, moaning as his tongue attacks your lips, parting them hungrily.
Swaying with the loud music, you whimpered when he touched your waist, his fingers hot and leaving shocks, your pussy throbbing and gut coiling with anticipation.
Panting desperately, you pulled at his shirt, fingers scrunching in the material as he lifted you up, planting on the counter top as you wrapped your legs around his waist, effectively straddling him. Feeling his muscles rippling under the shirt, gave a throaty moan, huffing due to the lack of oxygen.
Sweat was already coating your foreheads, creating highlights on his cheekbones and reflecting off the lens of his glasses-
“Peter did you see my- Oh! Oh am I disturbing you? Why don’t you use the bedroom though, I don’t think Tony would like if you do it in the kitchen-"
"May! Oh my god-"
”-It’s okay honey, you’re not a teenager anymore-“
Falling off the counter top, you bit your lip, playing with the hem of your shirt, not meeting May’s eyes. You look at your blushing boyfriend, embarrassed at being caught making out in between a party.
"May, just go, please-”
“Um, sorry I was just leaving anyway, you know, I got work to do. Yeah. You both continue.” She smirked, nodding at you and sending a sly wink at you.
Shaking your head, you looked at Peter, twiddling your hands together.
“Sooo, wanna make out?” You ask.
“Yeah. Sure"

The dishes clinked together, the noise echoing in the empty kitchen. Peter moved with agility, hands cleaning the dishes as he passed it to you who were putting them on the rack.
You saw him take a deep breath, biting your lips and gulping. You knew what was coming next.
Peter had always been protective of you, as a friend or as a girlfriend. He protected everyone who he loved.
"I’m sorry-"
"Save it. Take your meds and go to sleep. We’ll talk tomorrow.” He grunted, nearly smashing the plates as you raised your eyebrows.
“Well be careful of the plates, they’re fragile.” You joked, heart beating fast as you contemplate his reaction.
“How are you so chill about all this?! You know you were reckless, and yet you do decide to not acknowledge the fact that you almost died!” He slammed his fist, nearly breaking the plate with his hand, a small piece did break, piercing his skin.
You jumped at his sudden aggression, your own anger building.
“I’m a big girl now Peter, I can take care of myself, I don’t need you to look out for me everytime I go out!” You snarled, curling your fist, “and you’re one to talk you hypocrite! You’re always so reckless during patrols, how is me getting blasted by a bomb in a fireproof suit, reckless when you get hit by bullets on a daily basis?"
"I stopped listening after you said you got blasted by a bomb, you’re not enhanced Y/N, how am I supposed to-”, he said voice cracking, “I love you okay? I can’t - I can’t lose you okay?"
Your chest ached at his hurt voice. Peter had lost a lot in his short life, his parents, his uncle, almost lost Tony. And now you felt bad about making him feel that way.
"I’m sorry Petey.” You said, taking his cheek in one hand, holding his suds filled hand in another, “You’re hurt."
He chuckled, looking at his hand where the broken plate had pierced it. Tony wouldn’t mind one broken plate, he was a billionaire after all.
"Yeah.” He said, sniffing and putting it under the faucet to get off any remaining blood. You watched in fascination as the wound closed up, not even leaving a scar behind as if you were watching a time lapse.
Rolling your eyes, you grinned mischievously, poking his chest with you fingers and snorting as he giggled, pulling you closer-
“Bucky! Give me back my cookie now or I swear to god-"
"Ughhh you guys do this purposely don’t you?” You groaned, glaring at Bucky and Sam as they stop in their tracks, looking at each other and smirking.
“We neither confirm nor deny your accusations.” Bucky said, plopping the cookie in his mouth and walking out of the kitchen as you bang your forehead against the table.
Why can’t people just let you be intimate with your boyfriend for one second?

+1
“Are you sure no one’s gonna walk in, Spider-Man?” You hummed against his lips, moving in slow motions as he caresses your bum.
“If they do, I’ll take care of it.” He rasps, squeezing your bottom and fingering the hem of your shirt shorts.
You were sitting in Peter’s bedroom after a full day of teasing him, because you were horny and desperate. Softly kneading your fingers through his hair, you whined at the feel of his bulge against your crotch, a wet feeling already seeping through those shorts.
Rubbing your hips faster against his, you huff, tracing his biceps and squeezing them occasionally as he moved down with his lips, slipping off your tank top.
“Thought you had super speed.” You grunted, urging him to go faster as he unclasped your bra before looking at you with a smirk, his eyes shining with mirth and lust.
“You were a bad girl today, teasing me every opportunity you got, it’s only fair if I get to do the same.” He said before squeezing your one boob and sucking on the other, a wet pop noise leaving his mouth every time he sucked on it.
Spreading your legs further, you shimmy out of your shorts, lifting Peter’s shirt up to get him out of it before he stopped you.
“Oh no, you’re not-” he started before the door opened with a bang.
“Did you guys-” before Tony could see anything, Peter produced his web-shooters and shot at the door, locking it for at least another two hours.
A muffled, “at least use protection!” Was heard from outside the door. Your face was burning with embarrassment, looking at Peter with an innocently terrified look on your face. He could hear your heart racing, and it was making him like, really hard.
“Now, where to begin.” He whispered, chills shooting up your spine, goosebumps appearing on your skin and the wet feeling intensifying between your thighs.
“Let me at least undress you.” You plead, lifting his t-shirt and unbuttoning his jeans simultaneously.
“No, you were a brat today, and brats don’t get a taste without punishment.” He smirked, flipping you so you hit the backrest, holding your arms up and…webbing You up against the headboard, “today I’m doing all the work."
And you didn’t mind it really. Like, at all.

Memory Lane
Pairing: Adam Ruzek x reader
Summary: Y/N gets severely injured on the job, and throughout her time in and out of consciousness, she recalls the memories that she's shared with Adam throughout the years
Requested: No
Warnings: slight swearing, mentions of getting shot
Word Count: 1,718 Words
Tumblr media
One minute, I was fine. The next, I was on the ground, clutching at my shirt which was stained dark red with blood. It wasn't supposed to go down like this. It was a simple exchange, money for drugs, but everything went sideways when a patrol car intercepted the meeting. That was especially bad news for Adam and I seeing as neither of us had on bullet proof vests.
"Y/N!" Adam shouted and hooked his arms under my armpits before dragging me behind our car. Gunfire echoed around us, but the only thing I was trying to focus on was Adam. "5021 Ida. I need an ambo to the south block of Union. We're in the abandoned lot near the factories. My partner's been shot."
"Copy that 5021 Ida. An ambulance is 3 minutes out," the dispatcher replied.
"Adam," I murmur.
"No, Y/N, don't talk," Adam ordered and pressed his hands onto my wound, which caused me to wince. "Save your strength. Everything's gonna be okay."
"I've been shot in the stomach and I'm lying in a pool of blood," I whisper and clutch Adam's arm. "It's not cool to lie to me when I'm dying."
"Hey, you are not going to die on me. Not here, not now, now ever," Adam said. I nodded as my vision started to blur slightly, and I began to lose my strength. My grip on Adam's forearm loosened and my hand fell slack to the side, hitting the rocky gravel pavement. I could feel my conscious fading away, and it took everything in my power to keep my eyes the slightest bit open. Adam noticed my sudden silence, and when he realized that my eyes were staring to close, his face was flooded with worry. "Keep your eyes open, darling. The ambulance is almost here. You can do it."
I wanted to be strong for Adam, but it was getting hard to stay awake. My brain was begging me to close my eyes and get some rest, and I fought the urge to lose consciousness for as long as I could, but that didn't last forever. I felt my eyes flutter shut, the last thing I saw being Adam's distressed face. It was weird though, being unconscious. Everything was black, and there was no light in sight. That's when the black disappeared though, and suddenly, I was reliving the time Adam and I first met.
Flashback
"Here are the papers you requested Trudy. All 26 of them," I declare and place the stack of papers on the front desk.
"I'm impressed," Trudy confessed. "I didn't think you'd get it done in time."
"Hey, we may be short in the bullpen, but that doesn't mean I can't get my own work done quickly," I say.
"Speaking of being short on people, Al's brining in the new recruit now," Trudy spoke and nodded behind me. I turned around just as Al bounded up the front steps with our new rookie trailing a few steps behind him.
"Hey, Al," I greet my co-worker. "Who's this?"
"Y/N, this is Adam Ruzek. He's going to be our newest team member. And Adam, this is Y/N L/N," Al introduced. "She's one of the members of Intelligence."
"It's nice to meet you," Adam admitted.
"Yeah. You too," I reply.
"So, are you gonna be my partner?" Adam questioned.
I laughed softly. "Sorry, but I'm partnered up with Antonio. You're stuck with Al."
"Oh. Al was telling me about you on the ride over so I just figured..." Adam trailed off, a slight blush rising to his cheeks.
"He's cute. I like him," I tell Al.
Al chuckled. "I figured you would."
"Well, Adam, it was nice meeting you, but I've gotta get back upstairs and finish some more paperwork. Al, would you mind buzzing me up? My print hasn't been working lately," I explain.
"Sure. Ruzek, I need you to stay here and fill out some paperwork with Sergeant Platt. She can let you up when you're done," Al said.
"Got it. Again, it was nice meeting you, Y/N," Adam voiced.
Flashback Ends
When I slightly regained consciousness, my eyes cracked open the tiniest bit, just enough for me to know that I was in an ambulance. I could hear the sirens echoing on the street outside and feel the bounce of the wheels as they drove on the concrete road. I could also feel Adam squeezing my hand as a paramedic tended to my wound. But all of that disappeared in a matter of seconds as I slipped away for the second time that afternoon. This time, I was brought back to our first kiss.
Flashback
"No way! That never happened," I object and laugh.
"Yes it did. I swear. My dad walked in on me and my girlfriend at the time making out," Adam claimed.
"That must've been so embarrassing. I would've hid from my parents for a month if that happened to me," I say.
"Yeah, well, I was a teenager, and they provided me food and shelter, so I couldn't exactly avoid them," Adam joked.
"Well, this is me," I murmur and gesture to the apartment building a few yards up. Adam nodded and pulled to the curb, parking his car to let me out. Just before I could exit the car, Adam stopped me.
"Let me walk you up," Adam spoke and climbed out of the car. I shook my head, a small smile playing on my lips, and exited the car. I slung my purse over my shoulder and joined Adam on the sidewalk, and together, the two of us walked up the stairs of my apartment complex and stopped at the front door.
"I had fun tonight," I confess and turn to face Adam. "We should do this again sometime."
Adam nodded. "Definitely. But uh, before I go, there's one more thing I have to do." And with that, Adam leaned in and pressed his lips to mine. I smiled against his lips and moved my hands up to cup his cheeks, which caused him to wrap his arms around my waist and pull me closer. I could taste the faintest bit of beer on his lips, and it went surprisingly well with the wine flavor that was still occupying my tongue. The kiss only lasted for a few seconds, and I was a bit upset when we pulled away from each other. "I couldn't leave without giving you a goodnight kiss," Adam admitted. "Goodnight, Y/N."
"Night, Adam," I reply.
Flashback Ends
This time, when I came to, I was being wheeled into the ER at Chicago Med. I had an oxygen mask over my nose and mouth to help me breathe, but that didn't help much with my labored breathing. Through my squinted eyes, I could make out a few people hovering above me, but I couldn't seem to hear what they were saying. Along with Adam and the paramedics, I saw Dr. Rhodes, who was wheeling my stretcher in the direction of the elevators. I didn't stay conscious for long, and when I drifted off, I was seeing another memory.
Flashback
"Y/N, can we just talk? Please," Adam pleaded. I ignored his pleas from where I was seated on the floor against the bathroom door, and leaned my head back against the wood. Tears fell from my eyes and slid down my cheeks, but I didn't even bother wiping them away. "Y/N? Come on. Let me in."
"I don't want to talk to you right now," I murmur.
"Y/N I..." Adam trailed off for a few seconds. "I'm sorry, okay? I know that it was reckless of me to jump in front of that bullet but-"
"You could've been killed, Adam," I interject.
"But I wasn't," Adam countered. "And I'm not even hurt. The vest stopped the bullet. I'm okay."
"I get that, but what if you weren't?" I propose. "What if the vest didn't protect you? What if you had been seriously hurt? I can't live without you, Adam."
Adam sighed from where he was standing on the other side of the door. "You will never have to live without me. I'm never gonna leave you, Y/N. I love you so much."
My breath got caught in my throat at Adam's words. We had never said 'I love you' to each other before. I sniffled and stood up, using the back of my hand to wipe away the tears that had remained on my cheeks, and then I opened the door. Adam was standing a few feet away from the door, and he looked up when I exited the bathroom. I took a few steps forward and hugged him tightly, burying my face into his shoulder.
"I love you too," I breathe out.
Flashback End
My eyes opened slowly, and I cringed at the brightness of the room, closing my eyes again. After a few seconds, I opened my eyes again, blinking a few times to get used to the light. A small groan slipped past my lips as I tried to move to a more comfortable position, and that alerted Adam, who was sleeping in a chair next to my bed, that I was awake. He rubbed his eyes and sat up straighter, his hand automatically gravitating to mine.
"Hey," Adam muttered, his voice laced with sleepiness. "How are you feeling?"
"Well, I hurt everywhere," I reply. "But I think I'll be okay."
"You uh, you had me worried for a bit," Adam confessed and squeezed my hand softly.
"Don't worry. I don't plan on going anywhere any time soon," I admit. "But I do plan on taking every measure to make sure I don't get shot ever again. It hurts like hell."
Adam chuckled. "I will do everything in my power to keep you out of harm's way."
"You know what else you can do? Get me a cup of Jell-O from the cafeteria," I tell him.
"Deal," Adam said and stood up. "But I'm also gonna grab Dr. Rhodes on my way back so that he can check up on you."
"You're the best boyfriend ever," I exclaim. "I love you."
"I love you too," Adam responded and leaned down to peck my lips.

I really love the idea of Lip having to take Ian and Mickey home after their anniversary party, so I wrote a little something.
This references a previous ficlet where Lip has an inappropriate dream about Mickey, so adults only please!
Thanks to @udontfuckangie for the advice RE: babies in car seats in ambulances! This was originally going to have Tami drive the ambulance with Freddie but yeah, not safe. So, I had to change things - therefore let’s assume the ambulance is fine parked outside the Alibi for a night. Also, the song is “Hot Girl” by Megan Thee Stallion.
Lip gets into the front seat of his and Tami’s car to find Mickey leaning through the gap, half in the front of the car and half in the back, fiddling with the radio. He flicks through the different stations until he finds something he wants to listen to. Lip wants to shove him backwards and tell him to sit the fuck down, but...fuck, it’s their wedding anniversary. So, he’ll allow it.
“All the hot girls make it pop, pop, pop, bad bitches with the bag say ah ya ya”
“Fucking love this song.” Mickey shouts, turning the volume up, the bass vibrating through the car. He scrambles back awkwardly, elbowing Lip in the side, so that he’s sitting in the back seat. Ian laughs like this is the most hilarious thing that he’s ever seen. They both nod their heads in time to the rhythm, singing the chorus loudly.
Lip shakes his head, if there’s one thing he hates about being sober it’s dealing with drunk people, but, he reminds himself it’s their wedding anniversary and, goddamn, do they deserve to be carefree and happy. And they are feeling very carefree and happy right now. And also very drunk. So much so, it was decided that they should leave the ambulance outside the Albi and Lip would drive them home, before coming back to the bar to get Tami and Fred. It’s not that late, and Freddie is sleeping soundly so he leaves Tami to enjoy the party for a bit longer.
The song ends and Lip quickly turns down the volume so his eardrums aren’t destroyed.
“Play it again!” Mickey shouts, again, as if Lip isn’t sitting right in front of him.
“I can’t, it’s the radio.”
“Fuck you.”
He can hear Ian laughing again, like Mickey is the funniest person in the world.
“Put your seatbelts on.” Lip orders, cutting through the laughter.
“Fuck you.” Mickey replies, as Ian puts on his own seatbelt.
“Very creative, you just gonna repeat yourself all night? I’m not driving until you wear a seatbelt.” Lip sighs, as Ian’s words from earlier come back to haunt him - he’s feeling very much like a dad to Ian and Mickey right now.
“M’fine, just drive, bitch.” Mickey grumbles, punching the back of Lip’s seat.
“No.” Lip taps the steering wheel. “Seatbelt.”
“Here, I’ll do it.” Ian reaches across Mickey and pulls the seatbelt, clicking it into place after a few tries. “Gotta keep you safe.” He gently pats Mickey’s chest.
Lip rolls his eyes at the sappy, soft tone of Ian’s voice, he doesn’t know if he’ll ever get over hearing Ian speak like that to Mickey fucking Milkovich, as if he’s the most precious thing in the world. But, he supposes, to Ian he is. Still, it’s weird.
Checking one more time to see they are wearing seatbelts, he starts the car and wishes for no traffic and an easy ride to the West Side.
“You liked the surprise?” Mickey asks Ian.
“Loved it.”
“I got you good.”
“Yeah, you did. Really thought you’d forgotten.”
“But I didn’t!”
“Fucking love you so much.”
“Love you too.”
And then the inevitable making out starts, and the car is filled with the sounds of sloppy kissing, breathy ‘yeah’s, and some verging on pornographic sounding moaning.
“Wanna suck you off.” Mickey whispers, thankfully loud enough for Lip to hear so he can put a stop to that before it happens. He reaches one arm behind and pushes blindly at Mickey’s head.
“No you’re not, Mickey. I’m serious, sit back.” He pulls his arm back, when he hears Mickey huffing and swearing under his breath. He checks the rear view mirror, and Mickey is glaring at him but sitting upright.
“It’s our fucking wedding anniversary.” Mickey punches the back of Lip’s seat again.
“I know, but you aren’t going to suck my brother off in the backseat of my car. That just isn’t going to happen.” Lip takes a deep breath, goddamn, Mickey is a pain in the ass when he’s drunk, and even more so than usual tonight. Probably down to him being so pleased at pulling off the surprise. And Lip gets that - Ian looked completely astonished when he’d walked into the party. Ian is drunker than Lip’s seen him in a long while - he doesn’t usually drink that much because of his meds, but once in awhile, during a special occasion like this, he lets loose. And it’s kinda nice to see? Because Ian is a sweet, sappy and very silly drunk - there’s something endearing about his behaviour. Lip likes seeing him carefree like this. He doesn’t feel the same way about Mickey, but then, he’s never really found Mickey that endearing.
Lip hears a slurred “c’mere” and some giggling and then there is more kissing. Which is fine, but anything more than that and he’s pulling this car over immediately. He really is in dad mode. He doesn’t want to spoil all their fun, he just doesn’t want to be anywhere near their fun while they’re having it.
The drive seems to take forever, all to the soundtrack of two very in love husbands who are making out as if it’s the first time they’ve ever done it. Lip can’t lie to himself, he’s a little jealous. He’d love a night like this with Tami - just the two of them, happy and silly and able to make out like teenagers. But that’s probably not going to happen anytime soon. Especially if she’s pregnant again. That’s a thought for another day though. Right now he needs to concentrate on Ian and Mickey.
He was hoping to just drop them off, but Lip realises, as he pulls into the apartment car park, that isn’t going to work. Because the first thing Ian says as the car comes to a stop is “let’s go swimming!”
“Yeah! Let’s fuck in the pool!” Mickey agrees excitedly, pulling on the car door and failing to open it.
Lip realises he needs to make sure they get to their apartment before they get themselves in trouble. He has visions of them being found floating face down in the pool, so he helps them both out of the car and firmly steers them towards the entrance to the apartment block.
“No swimming. You two are way too fucked up for that.” He ushers them through the open door into a well lit corridor, lined with doors to apartments and other doors to what he guesses are the offices and maintenance for the building.
“You just.....you just don’t wanna see Mickey without a shirt. In case you get all excited...again.” Ian is grinning, his face flushed.
“What?” Mickey barks, suddenly very interested in the handle of a door which he yanks up and down. There’s a sign that reads ‘private’ and it’s obviously locked but Mickey continues to yank at it for some reason Lip can’t fathom.
“He had a sex dream about you.” Ian is attempting to whisper, but it’s loud, oh so loud in the empty hallway. “I’m not supposed to say because it’s a secret.”
“Ian. What the fuck?” Lip sighs, exasperated.
“Ugh, gross.” Mickey gives up on trying to open the locked door, and turns to Lip with a disgusted look on his face. “Don’t fucking dream about me like that.”
“I didn’t do it on purpose. It was a fucking dream.” Lip realises his mistake as soon as the words come out of his mouth.
“It sure was!” Ian is still grinning. “A fucking dream. Where you fucked Mickey!” He bursts into laughter at his own joke, leaning against the wall.
Mickey still has that disgusted look on his face. “As if I would ever let you....” He shakes his head. “Fucking gross. I love Ian. Only wanna get fucked by Ian.”
Christ, Lip thinks, he needs to get them to their apartment, he doesn’t want to hear anymore of this kind of talk.
Mickey has taken Ian’s hands in his own, and Ian’s looking at Mickey like what he just said was very romantic. “Yeah, Lip, you can’t have him. He’s mine. My husband.”
“It was a dream. It doesn’t mean anything. I definitely do not want to have sex with Mickey. Ok? Let’s just get you two to your apartment. Now.” Lip pushes them firmly, and they stumble forward, still holding hands.
“Good. Besides...if I was...if I was single. Sure as fuck wouldn’t want to fuck you.....jabby.”
Lip frowns, “How do you know about that?”
“Oh, me and Tami....we talk. Gotta complain about you Gallaghers.”
“Jesus Christ. You two are friends now?”
“Yeah.” Mickey laughs. “Guess so.”
“Jabby!” Ian shouts gleefully, running slightly behind in the conversation, but with the confidence of someone who knows exactly what ‘jabby’ refers to.
“And you told him? Great.”
“Course I did, it was fucking funny.”
“It’s ok.” Ian pats Lip on the shoulder, trying to be reassuring. “I’m sure you’ll get better with practice.” Mickey lets out what Lip can only describe as a cackle.
“Jesus Christ, that was one time and it was a one off.” They are finally, finally, at the elevators and he practically punches the up button. He’s hasn’t been here before but he remembers Ian saying their apartment was on the second floor, so he trusts that’s right.
“In you go.” He herds them into the elevator and presses the ‘2’ button. And once again, they are on each other, furiously kissing. Lip thinks the elevator is moving much to slowly. He hits the ‘2’ button again. Mercifully, the elevator doors soon open on the second floor. But neither Mickey or Ian has noticed and Lip grabs Ian by the back of his coat and pulls him out, Mickey stumbling after him.
“Hey, hands off.” Mickey grabs for Ian, who Lip is dragging behind him as he purposefully strides down the corridor. He has to get them inside, he can’t take much more of this.
“He’s stealing me, Mickey!” Ian laughs, “Help! Help!” His voice echoes much too loudly around the corridor.
“I’ll...save you!” Mickey manages to spit out between laughs, almost doubling over.
“You can have him back when we get to your place? Ok.” Lip turns and looks over his shoulder. “Just come on Mickey, follow us.”
A door they are passing suddenly swings open, and a very annoyed older lady is standing there, cell phone in hand. “Everything alright? I heard someone say they needed help?”
“No, no. Everything’s fine.” Lip smiles, trying to look respectable. Which is hard because Ian and Mickey are giggling, red-faced and stumbling about. “They....they’ve just had a bit too much to drink and I’m helping them get home.”
“It’s our wedding anniversary!” Ian yells, throwing his arms in the air.
The woman looks distinctly unimpressed. “That’s very nice. But it’s late, you know. You can’t go around shouting for help if you don’t need it. Especially at this time of night!”
“Listen lady, if my husband-”
Lip interrupts before Mickey can finish whatever threat he’s about to make, “They know, and they’re very sorry. And I’m gonna make sure they are quiet right now.” He grabs Ian’s hand and then Mickey’s and uses all his strength to get them to start walking, as the woman shuts her door with one more disapproving glare. “Come on. Home. Now. Please.”
They get to the door of the apartment Lip thought they would never reach. “Keys?”
Ian frowns, as if this question is a difficult math problem on a test he didn’t study for. “Uh.” He slaps one hand to his chest, then the other and then begins to rummage around in his jacket pockets. “Uh. Hmmm....”
Mickey isn’t much help either. “Maybe....here?” He says, grabbing Ian’s crotch, which causes Ian to smile and giggle and get distracted.
“Come on, Ian. Where are the keys?”
“Oh. Yeah. Keys.” He eventually produces a set from his jacket which has far too many pockets for Lip’s liking or for his tolerance at this time in this never ending evening. “Keys!”
“Good. Great.” Lip snatches them, opens the door, and shoves them, gently - it is their anniversary after all, no matter how fucking annoying they are being - through the door, slamming it shut behind him as he follows them in. He lets out a deep breath, it felt like they would never get here.
The apartment is nice, new, modern. The kind of place he never would have imagined them living in. In fact, even though it’s not furnished properly yet, Lip can see it’s a really nice place. And he’s pleased, he wants them, especially Ian, to live somewhere good like this. They deserve it.
They’re standing in the middle of the empty living room, holding one another, swaying slightly. Ian’s hands move down Mickey’s back to rest on his ass. Better get out of here, Lip thinks to himself.
“You guys need to drink some water.” He starts to rummage around the pristine kitchen until he finds two glasses that he recognises from home...or rather, what’s no longer home, not really - the Gallagher house. There’s only two glasses, clearly they haven’t been shopping yet, he fills them both with water.
“Alright, lovebirds, drink up!” Lip holds the glasses out, but neither of them move. They’re just staring at one another, silently, with small smiles on their faces. “Not gonna leave till you have some water.”
They both put one arm out at the same time, because of course they do. Lip hands them their water and waits until they’ve both drunk their whole glasses.
Satisfied that he’s done everything he can, he makes a move to leave. “I’m going. Enjoy the rest of your anniversary.”
Ian is caressing Mickey’s face with one hand, the other barely holding the glass which is dangling at his side. “Thanks, Lip. Love you bro.”
“Love you too, asshole.” He turns to leave, but fuck it....Mickey is his brother-in-law, and even though he’s a real pain in the ass, he makes Ian happy and that’s the most important thing, and also they’re probably too drunk to remember what he’s going to say.... “And you too, Mick.”
“Gross. Stop fucking fantasising about me, Philip.” Mickey grumbles, never taking his eyes of Ian.
Lip laughs, and let’s himself out, shutting the door behind him with a soft click.
