Man one of my friends has a habit of accidentally saying or doing stuff that hurts me and I never know what to do cuz like I dont wanna be criticizing her/telling her off every 2 days cuz I KNOW she never means any harm so I know when she says/does hurtfull stuff she doesnt mean it but like it still hurts yk ??? But anytime i do tell her i feel like an ass and the thing is it doesnt make me feel any better cuz when she apologizes i just feel bad for her. But likee also i notixe the frustration building up within myself from her repeatedly hurting my feelings. But its never super big stuff and i dont wanna make her feel bad cuz like idk man shes so. Just like, fragile I guess that anything that makes her sad or upset immediately makes me feel horrible like its the emotional equivalent of yelling at a child or.something. BUT ALSO SHE JUST KEEPS HURTING ME !!!! genuinely from the bottom of.my heart askimg wtf im supposed to do like do I just swallow it down and wait for the feeling to pass. Or what. Cuz like its never lingering serious hurt or anything but it just keeps building up but like also she never criticzes me for anything and so by comparison i DO already "criticize" her a lot I guess and like. Man idk genuinely I dont know what to do
#Ok so like for example. I was wathcing a show rn and a character died. and i had been texting my friend a bit about the show over the last#few days as i was watching it so its not like it just came completely out of the blue . and i sent like a video of the death scene and#said something expressinf sadness about it like 'NOOOO WTF' or whatever and she just didnt respond to that at all and started talking about#something else so i thought maybe she missed it so i like drew attention to it again and she was like 'i dont know that character i had#nothing to say'#BRO ????#I dont. know most of the things my friends ever talk about and i still go along.#and like she does stuff like that at least once a week and its like. idk man obviously its not a big deal but its just something that#stings yk??#and like she has a lot of idk mannerisms or habits that just make me feel dumb or like im being stupid and its so frustrating idk#and like idk cause sometimes she acts idk normally enthusiastic but randomly out of nowhere she says stuff that makes me feel like im being#stupid if that makes sense ??#or like she ALWAYS has something negative or disagreeing to say and on one hand it feels dumb to get annoyed by it but like idk??#for example one time i was watcbing a movie and texted her a pic of the lead actor and said 'his face is like the exavt opposite of mine'#like as a sort of joke cause my face is soft with idk prominent features and that guys face was sharp with well idk sharper features like#he just looked like the opposite of me yk?? and it was clearly a joke#but.like she replied like 'i dont really see it' and started in detail comparing our faces ??#and like idk cuz like it annoyed me and made me feel stupid and also she has a habit of overanalyzing her and other peooles.looks and i#fucking HATE IT#but like at the same time well if that was her organic reply am I not a dick for getting annoyed ??? but like it just annoyed me idfk#and its always stuff like that but i feek like an ass if im always tellinf her everything she does wrong (obviously i dont do that but itd#feel lime that) and being so idk overly critical but also some small part of me just has started to resent her cause ???#she keeps accidentally saying stuff that hurts me and makes me feel stupid and in school she always keeps touching me and making annoying#noises and like ???? idk what it is cause i usually really like her and we are very close but sometimes she just does stuff that#IMMEDIATELY drives me up the wall ????#but like honest to god what if im the problem. ?? like am i overreacting or like accidentally being mean??#But like . the way she communicates i dont see a point in trying to tell her that she has a habit of accidentally hurting me cuz#what would it change except make her feel bad if that makes sense ??#and also its like. like then she'd probably be less comfortable around me cuz shes worried abt hurting me . or like itd be#awkward like when you kmow someones only doing smth cuz you asked them to yk ??

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MEGUMI!" | MEGUMI FUSHIGURO.
𓏲 ࣪₊♡𓂃— synopsis. it would be so very cruel of you to not show your appreciation for your best friend, especially on his birthday.
𓏲 ࣪₊♡𓂃— cw. smut, college au, reader calls him “megs”, mention of “angelcunt”, unprotected love-making, bimbo!reader / best friend!megumi, a bit of asphyxiation, megumi with a crush! fingering, and praise. mdni <3
𓏲 ࣪₊♡𓂃— word count. 1.7k, a quick read !!
𓏲 ࣪₊♡𓂃 — dolled up! hellooo !! it’s a real one’s birthday, this is the least i could do to celebrate. i’m trying to get back into the groove of writing again so stay tuned n ready 4 fics in the future !! sweet college au best friend megumi is always on my mind, something about a stoic but secretly in love trope .. (he’s no better than his father, sigh) .. as always, if you enjoyed this, please reblog / comment. i’ll bake u you’re favorite sweets if u do !! thank u ♡
megumi has always been there for you. through ups and downs, taxing breakups, even the times you’d get exceedingly inebriated and ramble endlessly about your ever-growing appreciation for him — there was no denying the cordiality he’d shown throughout the many years of your friendship. sure, he could be quite cold, maybe even grumpy; but that was just the joy of megumi fushiguro.
and for that, it’d only be right to repay him.
for all of the times he would show up uninvited to your dorm with the notes of the lecture you’d fortuitously missed, blaming the absence on the absurdly quiet lull of your alarm clock, or when he’d let you have the last bite of his food, because only god knows megumi was never above tolerating you. it’d be the work of a terrible friend to let it all go unnoticed, especially on a special day like today.
“happy birthday, megs!” there you stood,
bubbly and bright as ever, in the doorway of his bedroom, clad in nothing but a tiny pink pajama set with a top reigning transparency, it barely left the skin beneath to the imagination.
he had invited you, along with yuuji and nobara, over to his dorm the previous night to keep him company after class — which led to a kugisaki-induced movie marathon, and eventually phased out into the four of you passed out on the fushiguro’s couch, hues of light omitting from the colorful rays of the forgotten television screen and onto your slumbering faces.
with megumi holding the title of competency within the friend group, it came as no shock when he’d woken up the others to send them on their merry way. all except you, of course. the light throw-over blanket clinging to your body neatly as you slept, soft snores resonating within your being aided in megumi’s decision to give you a few extra minutes to rest.
he could never interfere with your comfort.
after your unanticipated birthday wishes, it took a moment for megumi to come to, blinking away his awareness for your scantily clothed body and opting for a more stoic expression.
“thanks,” he replied, tone low and clouded with an air of vague appreciation.
“wanna know what i got you for your birthday?” your query was that of a sing-song manner as you swayed in place. megumi was used to being around absolute rays of sunshine, but you? you were different. it was as if you were the sun itself; warm and inviting yet shone luminous enough to blind onlookers. you were tooth-rottingly sweet, and as bubbly as you were naive.
matters weren’t made any better forgoing the fact that megumi had true feelings for you. it was a running gag within your friend group, jokes that itadori and nobara would make concerning the contrast between megumi’s unwelcoming behavior when it came to them, and impassive patience had times fell upon you.
in fact, obliviousness was your specialty in being ignorant to the feelings of the fushiguro. it wasn’t your fault, you truly didn’t know.
megumi responds curtly, although with a hint of sarcasm, “a break?”
you pout as you rest your head against the lacquered doorframe, reigning defeated already despite the conversation barely racking up a minute’s time. “no, silly.” the words come out as a giggle. “i got you me!”
a hint of confusion glosses over his features before it morphs into that of a neutral expression. shirtless from his shower just minutes prior, and puzzled from what your mind had conjured up this time, he questions again. “you? you got me you?”
you shake your head affirmatively as he starts up once more. “and what do i do with you?”
clear as day, your exchange took a rather suggestive turn, one that neither of you were intending. “well, you can do a lot of things with me,” now stepping into the room to close the distance between your bodies, your response is thick with an air of lust that megumi noticed seemed to come naturally for you. his heart picks up in pace from the sight of your pretty face, and even prettier eyes looking vacantly into his, as if you weren’t aware of the trap you set up for yourself.
he brushed off the slight arousal brewing up within him, chose to play it off as mirth like he usually did when it came to you. “i guess so.”
you held onto his arm, a more distinct, yet adorable look of seriousness on your features. truly, you were a little doll. “i’m for real, megs. it’s your birthday, i’ll let you do anything you want.”
yeah. you’re really going to regret this one.
the word “anything” came with free reign. and even though megumi thought of himself as anyone but a pervert, he certainly was bound to start acting like one.
“anything?” his question came out as if he was treading lightly while he moved to dig through his drawer, perhaps looking for a shirt.
you stepped back to allow him the space of rummaging, while nodding your head and confirming his suspicions. “anything.”
“let’s fuck, then.”
his tone was nonchalant, easy on your ears as his speaking voice regularly sounded, and you would have missed his request had he not straightened up to search your countenance for an answer — deadpan, as if he hadn’t said a thing.
in that moment, all of what you hadn’t noticed, no. all of what you chose to deny had finally been put into perspective.
megumi fushiguro was fucking hot.
“i mean, if that’s what you want then i don’t mind.” your response was succinct, gentle on your tongue and provided him the response he’d been aiming for.
this might be his best birthday yet.
he strode closer to you in light steps before his large, glacial hand found its place on your cheek and silken lips met yours, pulling you into a salacious kiss filled with hunger and want. the press of his tongue begging to be allotted within the slot of your lips was accepted with your own muscle dancing against his. it was dizzying, and dissimilar. for all your years of knowing megumi, you would’ve never thought up the occuring situation.
lithe fingers danced up the skin of your thighs where you part them on instinct, allowing his digits to work on their own to slip past the barrier of elastic fabric and into your little lace panties, softly drumming along the puffy nub of your clit.
“megumi,” you rasp against his lips, swirling your hips over his hand to build up the sweet friction surging from your core. the saccharine croon of his name tasted sugary like vanilla rolling off of your tongue and onto his. he was in pure bliss; ready to take everything you gave to him.
his body responded to your need, fingertips at your clit circling tightly, an action that pulled a string of mewls from you before you gasped at the intrusion of his long fingers dipping into your core. they curled upwards against your gummy walls just until they increased in pace while his thumb pivoted at your sensitive nub, and fuck! where’d he learn how to do that?
he pulled away only slightly to read your expression, the tent in his pants growing taller, tip leaking carelessly at the onsight of your face, screwed taut in pleasure — plump, glossy lips that were slick with spit and moans slipping past without prevail.
underneath him, your legs felt feeble, as if they’d fall beneath you from the surgence of pleasure. “m-megumi, wait, ‘m gonna!-“ you held onto his shoulders for leverage, your warnings of orgasm falling on deaf, distracted ears, until finally, you were a gushing mess in his palm, coating his digits in your essence.
“fuck. you’re so pretty when you cum,” in that moment, he gave you no chance to react when he gently positioned you over his dresser, pulling down your little shorts until they pooled around your knees.
“y’made me so hard, y/n. can you feel it?” he grinded himself over the plush of your ass, teasing before pulling his sweats down just enough so that his hard, throbbing and leaking, length could be free. it bobbed ever so under its weight while one hand began to pump from base to shaft to soothe the excruciating ache. once he felt satisfied in his ministrations, he lined his cock along your awaiting slit.
“a condom, megs.” your reminder came in the form of a soft lull. after all, you two were just free-spirited college students, unable to pay the consequences of spontaneous actions. “don’t have any.” with that, he sunk his cock inside to the hilt, a low groan rippling from his throat at just how tight your pussy clamped around him. it felt like fucking heaven. he could die in your cunt and be at peace.
while you adjusted to the stretch, he began to move; slow, deep strokes as if he were savoring this moment forever. who knows when he’ll be able to have the luxury to sink inside your perfect angelcunt again? you bit your lip to stave off impending moans which ultimately failed when his arms snaked around your body — one hand underneath the cloth of your shirt and pinching at your perked nipples while the other finds its place right back at your clit.
“sh-shit!” you cry out, eyes rolling and mind hazy from the pleasure. his rhythm increased gradually until he built up a vigorous pace. “i’ve been needing y-you so bad.” megumi groans along the shell of your ear. how he got so lucky as to have his dream girl engulfed around his cock, he doesn’t know. all he’s aware of was the tightening of his abdomen, signaling his own impending orgasm.
white hot pleasure replace all feeling in your body, counting down its time until the familiar numbness washed over you in euphoria. a pitchy moan sounded from your lips and an even whorish whimper when the warmth from spurts of his cum coated your insides.
after what felt like a minute of the two of you recollecting your breaths, megumi finally pulled out, shuddering at the added stimulation at his oversensitive cock.
he leaned your head back to meet his lust-filled gaze; calmness of his deep navy orbs now deepened with sin. megumi pressed gentle kisses all over your face while his hands took purchase at your now, exposed, neck and squeezed tight enough to keep you lightheaded.
“you’re the best birthday present.”

Lavender Roses | S.R.
Spencer sat at his desk, the stack of folders on it feeling as though each time he completed one another one is added. He takes a deep breath and leans back, taking his glasses off his face to massage the bridge of his nose. Most of the time he was glad to have a slow casework day but for some reason today was crawling by.
He placed his glasses back on his face and turned to resume to his work before he heard a soft voice. "Excuse me?" He swiveled in his chair and found that in front of him stood possibly prettiest person he's ever seen before carrying a couple of small plastic tubs. She was smiling slightly at him, her eyes sparkling even in the harsh fluorescent lighting of the bullpen. She wore a long-sleeved black dress with a white collar and a flared skirt and a pair of black Mary Janes. "Hello?" She asked again.
His eyes widened slightly and he remembered that she had been about to ask him something so he cleared his throat. "Oh, hi! Uh, m-may I have you? Uh, help. M-may I help you?" Spencer shook his head and nearly slapped his palm to his forehead but managed to refrain from doing so. His cheeks burned as he met her gaze again and was met with a smile so sweet that it would have made his knees buckle had he been standing.
"Yes, actually!" She responded, her smile growing wider. "I'm looking for Penelope Garcia's office? I need to drop these off for her." She held up the boxes, which upon further inspection held an assortment of cupcakes, brownies, and cookies in the very top one.
"Oh, oh yeah ! It's just, uh—it's r-right over—just turn around and—," he stammered, his cheeks burning more and more with each failed attempt to organize his racing thoughts so that they'd come out of his mouth fluently instead of in the word jumbles he was currently producing.
"Sorry, I don't mean to interrupt, but you said you're looking for Penelope Garcia?" Derek Morgan swooped in, rescuing Spencer from further embarrassment. "Her office is right this way, I can take you to her." He flashed her one of his smooth smiles and placed a hand on her arm as he began to turn her in the right direction.
"Oh, thank you!" She said gratefully. Before Derek could lead her away she turned back to Spencer and opened the top container, lowering it in front of him. "Here, have a cookie as a thanks for helping me!"
"B-but I didn't even—," he began before being shushed by her in a joking manner, her index finger landing a mere centimeter in front of his lips.
"Uh-uh! I will hear none of that nonsense," she laughed, making his heart skip a beat or two. "You were kind to me so take a cookie."
"O-okay, if, uh, if you insist," he gave a nervous laugh of his own as he reached his hand in and grabbed the first cookie his fingers met. He quickly withdrew his hand and met her eyes once more. "Th-thank you!"
"You're welcome, handsome!" She chirped before letting Derek lead her to Garcia's office, leaving Spencer silently kicking himself for fumbling that interaction so thoroughly. He took a bite of the cookie and was met with the most amazing tasting treat he'd ever had as he went back to working on the pile of folders on his desk.
"Thank you for showing me to Penelope!" (Y/N) thanked the kind man, who had introduced himself as Derek Morgan. She had heard endless stories about him from Penelope so it was nice to put a face to the name. "What, no cookie for me?" He joked, right as Penelope opened the door.
"She better not give you one! These are for my party tonight!" She said immediately.
"Oh, it's fine, Pen, I made like 30 of these things, not to mention the brownies and cupcakes. Plus, I already gave one to your other coworker so it's only fair, I suppose," she opened the top container, allowing the man to pick a cookie.
"Thanks gorgeous," he winked and walked off, taking a bite of the cookie. "Mmm these are delicious!"
They walked into Penelope's office and she closed the door behind them as (Y/N) set the containers down on one of the few surfaces not littered with papers and/or computer equipment. Once her hands were free she hugged her friend and they began catching up. Eventually, (Y/N) couldn't help but ask about the young brunet agent with whom she had shared her first encounter.
"So Pen, who was that tall, handsome agent I met earlier?" She asked, feeling her cheeks burn as she blushed lightly.
"Oh, sweet cheeks, stay away from him! He's mine," Penelope joked back, nudging her friend lightly with her elbow.
"Oh no, not him. He was nice but before he led me to your office, I had asked another agent where to find you. He was younger, wearing glasses, closer to my age, and he had what looked like the softest brown hair and he got all cute and flustered," she gushed to her friend, not taking a single breath until she had finished and took in a large gulp of air.
"Wait wait wait, are you talking about Reid?" Penelope laughed, her hands flying up to her mouth. "Skinny guy, about 6'1", dresses like he shops with my grandpa?"
"Hey, I like the way he was dressed!" (Y/N) responded with a playfully indignant tone. "He looked very cute if you ask me. Truth be told that's why I offered him a cookie!"
As her friend was leaving, a plan started forming in Penelope Garcia's mind. Once (Y/N) was through the glass doors and in the elevator, she rushed over to Derek Morgan, sitting at his desk and working on a case file.
"Derek! Derek, I need to talk to you," she panted, slightly out of breath from her hurrying. "Come to my office with me." The two went to her office where she shut the door and hurriedly asked, "tell me about what you saw between (Y/N) and Reid!"
"Is that your friend from earlier, baby girl?" He asked, tilting his head to the side with an amused smile creeping on his lips.
"Yes and she spent about 20 minutes gushing over him, Derek," Penelope laughed. "She is smitten and their interaction couldn't have been all that long. So, tell me, you beautiful man, what. Did. You. See?"
"Okay, okay!" He put his hands in the air and gave a good natured chuckle. "She walked up to him and got his attention, he fumbled asking her if he could help her with something, she asked how to find you, and he tried to tell her but it sounded like he was about to have a stroke so I stepped in and offered to show her to you. She offered him a cookie as a thanks for his effort and then we went to your office."
"Nothing else?" She pressed, trying to get every last bit of information that she could.
"Uh, she called him handsome, I think?" He added, trying to sneak a second cookie but being met with a slap on the wrist from Penelope.
"Okay so I have a plan," she said, her voice lowering to a conspiratorial whisper as she leaned in closer to Derek. "But I'm going to need your help."
Spencer sat in the café Derek had told him to go to, a single lavender rose in front of him. He had been told to look for a girl wearing a light purple beret, but no such girl had arrived in the 15 minutes he'd been waiting. He checked his watch while his heart beat rapidly against his chest. Why had he agreed to a blind date in the first place? Logically he knew Derek wasn't like the kids he went to school with growing up, he would never intentionally hurt his friends like that, but a part of Spencer's mind was telling him that this was all some elaborate prank that all his coworkers would be laughing about on Monday.
In the midst of his thought spiral he failed to notice that someone had approached his table until he heard a soft throat clearing from in front of him. He started and looked up, his cheeks turning a soft shade of red as he met the twinkling eyes that have been plaguing his thoughts for the passed week.
"Dr. Reid?" She asked with a hopeful look on her face. "I don't think we were every properly introduced the other day. I'm (Y/N) (Y/L/N). May I join you?"
"Oh! Uh, um, s-sure! Please do," he stuttered, realizing that she was wearing a lavender colored beret that from the looks of it was handmade with a lot of care. "I, uh, I'm Spencer." He smiled at her as she sat across from him in the empty chair.
"It's nice to officially meet you, Spencer," she responded with a soft giggle that made Spencer feel like he was about to melt.
"I, uh, I brought you this," he told her as he reached for the rose in front of him, reaching his hand out over the table to hand it to her. Her cheeks tinged an adorable shade of pink as she reached for it.
"I don't know if I've ever seen a rose this shade before," she whispered, twirling it around in her fingers as her eyes widened in awe.
"Different colored roses carry different meanings," He began explaining his thought process behind the particular color he had picked for her. "Lavender colored roses usually represent enchantment, admiration, and carry an air of mystery or mysticism, so I figured it would be a perfect color for the first time meeting you." He felt his cheeks burn as he finished his explanation.
"That's incredibly sweet of you, Spencer," she smiled at him softly, reaching forward to put her hand on top of his. At this point he swore his heart was going to explode. "And even though we've technically met before it also has the added benefit of matching my hat quite well."
"Yes, yes it does," he smiled back as a warm feeling bloomed and spread throughout his chest.
"So what do the other colors of roses signify?" She asked, tilting her head and listening eagerly with the very same smile that had made him tumble head over heels for her during their first encounter as he began explaining each and every color of rose and their multitude of meanings. Not once did she roll her eyes or sigh from boredom. As the night drew on and the conversation flowed Spencer knew that a lavender rose was indeed a perfect choice since what they really symbolized was love at first sight.

cw: post archon war, current time period. reader is a goddess. a little melancholy. mature but no overt smut.
“You’ve never taken a lover, have you, Morax?”
You mean your voice to be light, and it is, breathy with the levity conferred by a profoundly good fuck, a warm flush to your complexion still representative of your lingering affection for him. His eyes, lidded shut in quiet contemplation, open languidly and he turns, golden eyes on you and gleaming, quick to sense the playfulness in your voice.
“In this manner, do you mean to mock my technique?” he asks. His voice is low, accompanied by a gentle squeeze of your loosely interlaced fingers.
You shift, pressing your legs together, and turning in his direction to face him. Your foreheads barely touch, and your lips remain just inches apart, as if they hadn’t connected frequently over the course of the night. He looks at them not hungrily but with tempered greed, like another kiss would be an overindulgence.
“I wouldn’t dare.”
He sighs, and chooses not to kiss you yet, but pulls you closer. You adjust, resting your head on his chest, your fingers untangling from each other so that you can gently tap them against his chest. A few moments pass, and then he’s quick to take your hand again in his palm, bringing the fingertips to his lips.
“But you do dare. I do now have to admit, I’m worried, that somehow you may not be satisfied with our time together.”
His voice is steady still and if he’s truly hurt and not just playing along with your joke, you won’t catch it. But he’s still handling you tenderly, and your desire for closeness persists. Throwing your knee over his waist is not enough; even the sensation of his body inside yours, filling you deeply, is not enough.
You’re not sure yet what you want.
“I enjoy our time together always.” Your reminder is sincere, sweetly delivered.
“I could enthuse you in other things,” Zhongli asks. His eyes are to the ceiling, while yours are on him. “There are many games I have yet to teach you, perhaps over wine or tea.”
The idea of losing a game that you don’t understand in a foreign land doesn’t particularly enthuse you quite at all, but of course, you are a guest. A well taken care of guest, in fact, and often you wonder how many friends he’s made to replace the ones he’s lost over the eons - even if you’ve remained a constant from back then, gods often struggle to keep close relationships whether it’s among themselves or with mortals. You consider that Zhongli at least appears to be well loved in this new era, even if he keeps an air of seriousness around him that may push others away.
You wonder if he’s doing this with anyone else.
“You’d have me taste osmanthus wine again?” you ask him.
“Why not?”
In a swift roll, you move so that you’re on top of him, and his arms rest around the base of your waist. Squishing his cheeks gently, then reveling in how his generally stoic countenance softens at your playfulness, you smile.
“I’m flattered. It’s been over a thousand years.”
Zhongli lets out a chuckle, pulling the covers to shield you from the cold of the early morning, the windows having remained open a crack to let out the smell of the incense you burned last night to pray for the dearly departed. It’s a tradition you’ve had with him for quite a while now, if only because it’s within your particular expertise to do so - that, and whatever this is, serving each other physically most of the night into the early morning and idle chat in the daytime.
It’s supposedly good for you, to expel that excess energy and to help him expel his, but sometimes you wonder.
“Zhongli.”
You use his mortal name sparingly, and it often catches his attention more readily than when you call him by his other name.
“Yes?” He is quick to respond, glowing amber oh so charitable to your thoughts.
How silly it is to call for his attention when he is right in front of you.
You take a deep breath, then blurt out, “I know you would call this divine cultivation but I have no desire for more power in any way, shape, or form. Plus, I am quite balanced spiritually at this stage of my existence.”
He pauses.
“I understand.” His hand finds its way to caress your cheek gently, and you try not to let it distract you from your next statement.
“And what if I suggested also, that potentially, you yourself, might have enough?” To this, he sighs, and lets his hand drop.
“You are not wrong.”
Your heart skips a beat and soon you can no longer look at him, pressing your head against his chest instead for this next question.
“So what do we call this?” You finally ask. You want him to call it love but you don’t ask for it, and you’re embarrassed to fish deeper, and yet
Humans have sex - rather, make love - for pleasure. You would like to do the same, rather than pretend that there is some higher purpose to the way you make each other feel, some greater meaning to your cries and moans of pleasure.
You can feel the heave in his chest as he responds.
“Claiming a moment for myself… chasing a feeling does not end well for me.”
You look into his eyes again, let his words flow into you.
“No sooner than I claim something as my own, would it find its way far from me.”
You rise.
“Morax…”
You’ve called him by his old name again, and he laughs, but you are not laughing. Your face is warm and your heart pounds.
“Are you telling me that you care about me or not?”
The timing must be right again, because soon you are flipped under him, and he presses his lips against yours again, his hand cupping your face.
“I don’t control fate the way I would like to. Not anymore.”
You pull in a breath sharply, then whisper:
“A decision you made and can easily overturn.”
He shakes his head.
“A contract.”
Your arms wrap around his neck again.
“Anything can be renegotiated,” you remind him. Your lips graze again, and another sigh escapes the both of you.
“Not death,” he reminds you. He has you there. Your lips pull into a sad smile automatically.
“And thus in calling you my lover-” Zhongli continues.
“I did not ask you to call me your lover, I simply asked-” you start, shame sending flame through your body. He smiles before he interjects again.
“I run the risk of adding you to the list of things that exist to me only in memory.”
Your blood runs cold suddenly, and he finally pulls back from you, rising out of bed to stand.
“We should begin our day,” he states, matter-of-factly. His hair is tousled still, the long lengths contrasting sharply against pristine pale skin, and you watch him in naked form move across the room to close the windows, the simple action fulfilled with the fluidity and grace of someone who’s probably existed long before time itself. Still grand, still heavenly. While he is undoubtedly calm, your heart thumps in beat with the tempest of thoughts in your mind.
Zhongli loves you, and it’s obvious. To call you dear out loud to him is akin to marking you for loss. Are you comfortable being loved if it will only add to his pain? Must you claim more than just the moments shared between the two of you?
“Zhongli,” you start, as he is just about to walk out of the room. He stops abruptly, and turns in your direction. He doesn’t say a word, just waits for you to speak.
“I will not die,” you say out loud. You’re sitting up and perhaps now, you are the opposite of strength, looking painfully vulnerable in the way you’ve gathered soft sheets to cover your bosom, in sharp contrast to Zhongli who bothers not to hide anything, uncontested power personified.
For a moment, you can tell that he’s surprised by your declaration, and yet you press on.
“I will stay. Perhaps, if I want to, I will exist even long past you do. But I will stay in this realm, and I can be yours for eternity.”
You pause, so that your voice does not waver.
“You are allowed to love me.”
…
The early morning remains cold, but the birds begin to chirp their good mornings, and Zhongli speaks your name with greater tenderness than he ever has, as he makes love to you once more.

he’s drunk and confessing his love to you, but you’re not taking any of his shit.
kyle “gaz” garrick x reader
hurt/comfort, drinking, gn!reader written by an nb, hella inaccurate depiction of a drunk person
a/n: this is my first time writing for cod so please be kind </3 if you have any critiques just let me know (gently, preferably)
word count: 1.3k
--
“I’m in love with you.”
You were so focused on navigating him back to his room that you had almost missed his confession. About half an hour ago, Kyle had asked you to pick him up from the pub after he went out drinking with his friends. You asked why he didn’t want to take a cab and he so charmingly responded with, “Well, I wanted to see your pretty face, love.”
Now, he was leaning most of his weight on your shoulder as you tried your damned hardest to not let him run into any walls or hit his hips on any counters or tables. You swallowed the lump forming in your throat and kicked his door open, helping Kyle settle down on his bed.
“Is that so?” You countered jokingly, shaky hands helping peel off his coat. Maybe, just maybe, this was the setup to a terrible joke.
“Yeah,” he answered, looking up at you with a dreamy smile after placing his coat next to his nightstand. Slowly, the drunken soldier watched as the amused look in your eyes morphed into something hardened.
“What’s wrong?” He asked you, brows furrowing as you wordlessly crouched down to help him take off his shoes.
“Kyle, you’re drunk,” you reasoned, untying his laces and carefully slipping off his boots. “I told you not to have too many drinks and now listen to all the nonsense you’re saying.”
“You think I’m lying?”
“I know you are.”
The more the topic lasted, so did your frustration. You had spent years of your life pining after Kyle Garrick. He was kind, always helped you out when he was able, always made time for you, always came to visit when he came back from missions, and never let you feel like you were less than nothing when he was around. He was perfect, and that was the exact problem. There was no world in which Kyle Garrick would fall for you.
“Why would you say that?”
You could feel your heart constrict in your chest. It was almost as if he were making fun of you at this point, though you knew he would never be so cruel. Setting his boots to the side, you stood up from your spot in front of him and turned to leave. “Good night, Kyle.”
In an instant, he stood up to match you. “(Y/n), wait,” he said hurriedly, clumsily following you as you made a beeline for his front door, after you like a lost puppy following its owner.
Despite his intoxication, he was able to catch up to your brisk pace with an almost concerning ease and grasp your hand gently. You turned to look at him, his face now etched with concern. He felt like he sobered up instantly.
“It’s almost four in the morning. You should go to bed,” you reasoned with him, trying to find any way to avoid confronting his confession—if it even really was one.
“You know I wouldn’t joke with you about this, right? ‘S that what you think this is? That I’d do something like that to you?” He kept digging for an answer, pulling your wrist so that your whole body faced him. In the back of your mind, you become extremely conscious of the fact that his front door is only three feet away from you.
Kyle seemed to notice, too, because he took the opportunity to take your other wrist and slide both his hands up your arms to take a firm grasp at your shoulders.
“No. That’s not what I think, I just—” you paused and exhaled through your nose, wishing he’d just let you go, but you know him. If he’s concerned about you, he won’t let you leave until he’s sure it’ll be okay. “Like I said, you’re drunk and you’re thinking things are true when they’re not. Now, will you please let me go home so both of us can get some rest?”
He laughs softly. Not in a mocking manner, but in a sad, empathetic way.
“This isn’t some spur-of-the-moment revelation.” His hands come away from your shoulders and find themselves cupping your face. “Why do you think I want to be around you all the time?”
“Are friends not supposed to want to be around each other?”
He scoffs at the counter, a small smile creeping up on his face.
“Fine. Why do you think I only look at you whenever you enter the room? Why do you think I’ve never once liked any of your past partners? Why, in all the time we’ve known each other, do you think I’ve never had a partner, myself? Ask Price. Actually, ask anyone who knows me. You are the only thing on my mind. It’s always you, and I thought I could stay in denial for a little while longer, but I can’t.”
He takes a shaky breath and strokes your cheek gently with his right thumb.
“It’s fine if you don’t feel the same, but don’t tell me I’m not in love with you when you are the only one I’d watch the world burn for.”
You would have been melted into a puddle at this point if you weren't offended at the insinuation that you didn’t return his feelings. Still, you were convinced none of it mattered.
“Kyle,” you say gently, raising your hands to rest on his. “You could do so much better. You and I both know that.”
“Don’t say that.”
“It’s true. Letting you… love me would probably be one of the most selfish things I could do. I can’t let you do that,” you whispered, trying to pry his hands away from you. They wouldn’t budge.
“I’ll love you anyway.”
“You’re drunk.”
“You’re gorgeous.”
“See? You’re proving my point.”
“And if I tell you I’m in love with you in the morning?”
“It won’t matter.”
“Tell me you don’t want me. Look at me in my eyes and say you aren’t in love with me, and I’ll leave you alone. Tell me you’d be unhappy being with me, or something about what you actually want because I know you’re too kind to take what you want from others. You take care of people. Even just now, you agreed to take me home even though you knew I could take cab. Every time I have to cancel plans, you just smile and say it's alright like it’s not disrespectful to y—”
“It’s not like you can control when you have to go to work,” you reminded him.
“That. That sweetness only you bring is exactly what I mean. It’s one of the things I love about you most and I wish you could see it in yourself like I see you. You’re always the one taking care of me. Let me take care of you, this time. Please.”
It wasn’t until his small please that you realized tears were starting to form in the corners of your eyes. At first, you tried to speak but you mouth wouldn’t open. The overwhelming feeling of his hands caressing your face and his pleading words swirling around in your head was sending you into a state of panic.
Taking a deep breath in an attempt to calm yourself down, you said, “In the morning. When you’re sober.”
Kyle’s face lit up instantly, and the small smile lingering on his lips only grew. Finally taking his hands off your face, he slid his palms into yours and gently kissed your knuckles.
“When I’m sober,” he agreed.
“Goodnight, Kyle,” you sighed, secretly savoring the interaction.
“Goodnight, love.”
The sound of Kyle calling your cell phone was what happened to wake you up that next morning.

Bowling - CC
Pairing: Caitlin Clark x Reader
Summary: Date night with Caitlin - headcanon (based on THIS request)
Warnings: nothing, fluff
Word Count: 1.2k
Sweetbans Masterlist
AN: I am a huge fan of bowling. Am I good? No. I used to go weekly with friends and had gotten progressively worse.
You told Caitlin you wanted to go out for a date night but wanted to do something normal. Caitlin, of course, was completely on board and said she loves normal. You laughed at her and know the two of you have a different idea of normal. Your idea of normal was going out and having a fun night with your girl - maybe some sort of activity like bowling or an escape room. On the other side of that, your girlfriend is the single most competitive person you know. Sometimes not to her advantage. She hates to lose. And you don't blame her but she takes it to a whole other level. You thought it would be different with you, but you were very wrong.
"Okay, you owe...$320," you say and you hear her puff. "No way in hell do I owe that much," she says as her blood begins to boil. "Do you think I am lying?" You say with a laugh, you pass her the property card and point out the hotel cost. "I own this property and it had a hotel on it, therefore it is $320. Pay up, babe!" She reluctantly hands you the fake money and she rolls the dice again, landing on doubles again. She moves her piece the number of spaces and lets out another angry groan when she lands on another spot of yours. You tell how much she owes you but she refuses. "If you refuse - that means you forfeit and therefore lose," you tell her and she gets up. "This is stupid," she says and walks away from the table. "Hey, you are the one that chose the game - I am just playing it with you. It is not my fault that you don't know how to play Monopoly," you call out to her. She mutters a string of profanities and waves you off. You packed up the game and went to find your girl. She was lying in bed with a replay of a game on the TV. You come over and poke at her leg. She moves it away from you. "Babe, come on," you say and sit facing her. She doesn't say anything and keeps her attention on the game. Sighing, you move to sit next to her and try to cuddle into her side. She doesn't initially move as you wrap your arm around her waist and put your head on her shoulder. It was only when you began to fall asleep that you felt Caitlin's arm shift, bringing you to her side and rub your back. You know she isn't mad at you and you learned how her drive to win wasn't only on the court - it was in all areas of life.
You knew when you told Caitlin that you wanted to go out and do something that it would have to be something that she was decent at. So when you suggested either bowling or an escape room, she chose bowling.
It was a Thursday night and the two of you had just gotten to the bowling alley. You both got your shoes and headed to your lane, grabbing your choice of ball on the way.
You finish putting your shoes on and look over at your girl. "Ready love?" You ask and give her a hug. She kisses the top of your head. "You'll still love me regardless of how this game goes, right?" You ask in a joking manner. "Mmmhmm," she responds but you are not satisfied with her answer. You pull away and look at her. "Caitlin, you will love me regardless of who wins, correct?" You are looking her dead in the eye now as you wait for her response. "Of course, babe. Of course," she says as she leans down to give you a kiss. You turn your head so she kisses your cheek instead of you lips. "Good, because you are going down." You say sweetly and begin your turn.
The two of you took every frame like it was the championship game. You had made your tone clear that this wasn't going to be a friendly game but rather a full-blown competition - completely abandoning your initial stance of a 'normal' date. You knew that any time the two of you did something competitive it would never be normal. The game is neck and neck.
You step up, ball in hand. It is the last frame and Caitlin is up by 13. She got a spare in the final frame putting her comfortably in the lead. You would need to do the same to put yourself within winning distance. "Don't mess up," your girlfriend says in a teasing tone. You know she is nervous when she tries to get in your head. You take a deep breath and bowl. You get a strike. A smile dawning your face before as you walk to grab another ball to finish the game off. You finish off the frame, beating Caitlin by 4. You walk over to shake her hand but she just sits there with her arms crossed. "Babe, you did good - that was the best game either of us have bowled." You tell her as you squat in front of her, putting your hands on her crossed arms. She rolls her eyes and lets out a cute little huff. "Come on - there is still time for you to beat me in the arcade," you say and she stands. She begins walking to the arcade area but not before grabbing your hand to make sure you are with her.
Before you get too far you bring her back to change your shoes out. She was so focused on going to the arcade that she forgot she was still wearing her bowling shoes.
Once you both return the shoes, Caitlin and you walk hand in hand to the arcade games. As focused as she is on winning - she makes sure you are next to her.
You follow her around and play all the games that Caitlin wants. You don't take it easy on her but you do let her take the lead every now and again. You love winning but you love your girl more.
She ends up winning more tickets than you and is happy with her win. The two of you head over to the prize counter and she chooses a Nerf basketball while you choose candy and a little plastic dino.
When the two of you get home, you lounge on the couch. She turns on some game highlights and you curl up next to her. "I love you, but we should never do anything that involves a winner and a loser for a date ever again," you say. She lets out a little laugh and rubs your shoulder. "I think we can - we just need it to be on a group date and we need to be on the same team," she says and kisses the top of your head. "Ooo I like the way you think, I can call Lexi and her boyfriend - maybe we can go on a double date next weekend," you say scrolling through your phone. Caitlin laughs and brings you closer to her. "Whatever you want, babe," Caitlin says.
AN: I can't imagine Caitlin not being competitive but let me know what you think. And as always, thank you for your love and support 🤍

Late-Night Talking
Author's note: This can be read as part 2 of "Never Forget a Face," or it can be read as a stand-alone. 5k words, not proofread xoxo.
Summary: After you get to know Spencer, the team starts believing you may be more than friends. Despite pushing back against their jokes, you and Spencer quickly realize they may not be wrong.
Warnings: fem!reader, spoilers for season 12/13, mentions of typical BAU-level violence, age gap mentioned, one bed trope that i LOVE, no smut just some heavy fluff/making out at the end
“Checkmate,” Spencer said.
You groaned.
The soft glow of an antique lamp illuminated your surroundings. You sat cross-legged on an old leather armchair, resting your head in your hands. Spencer, across from you, looked a little too amused. The pair of you had been at this for roughly two hours.
“I’m not sure why you decided to make that last move. If you want, I can show you some additional strategies and what I would have done in your place,” Spencer rambled. If it were any other man, you likely would have rolled your eyes and told them to shut up. Something about the way he spoke was entirely genuine, and he knew he had your best interest at heart.
“No thanks, Spence. I think I’ve met my match for the day,” you said, rising from your seat. You stretched your arms above your head. “I could go for some coffee, though.”
He smiled as you turned to walk toward his kitchen. In the three weeks since the two of you had spent the evening talking, the two of you had only become closer. This was the third night this week that you had found yourself enjoying his company.
“Do you want a cup?” you called behind the counter.
It was quiet for a second, and you could imagine his eyes narrowing in thought as he weighed his options. “Sure,” he said. “Could you make it with-”
“Lots of sugar and a little bit of coffee,” you finished for him, appearing from behind the island with two cups in hand. “Here.”
Spencer thanked you, taking a small sip before setting the steaming cup on the side table. “Perfect,” he acknowledged.
“Oh really? Maybe I should pursue a career as a barista,” you joked, whirling the mixture around in your mug with a small red stirrer.
Spencer let out a small laugh before he grew quiet for a moment. He looked at you thoughtfully. “Not that I think you wouldn’t be good at it, but I think I - or uh - we prefer to have you on our team.”
As you opened your mouth to respond, your phone buzzed in your pocket. You set your coffee on the side table next to Spencer’s and pulled it out, unveiling Penelope’s name and face buzzing across your screen.
“It’s Penelope,” you said. Spencer shot you a knowing look.
You raised the phone and answered her video message request. Her face filled the screen.
“Hello, my lovely,” she said to you in her usual bubbly manner. The bright pink bows in her hair and the way they matched what you could see of her dress made you smile.
“Hey, Pen,” you greeted. “What’s up?”
“That’s the less lovely part,” she said, her smiling turning to a frown. “I need you in the office in an hour or less. We have a case.”
You sighed as you shot a glance at Spencer who was staring at you from across the chess table. “Right, I’ll be there. Thanks.”
You were about to hang up when she spoke again. “Oh, wait! Y/N!”
“Yes?” you asked her, a bit confused by her sudden urgency.
“Have you talked to Spencer? You’re the last one on my call list and I haven’t been able to get ahold of him for twenty minutes.”
Rather than respond, you flipped the camera around to unveil Spencer sitting on the edge of the armchair. “Yeah, I think I can get ahold of him for you,” you quipped.
Penelope gasped. “My two favorite BAU babies spending time together? Be still my speckled heart.”
Spencer groaned, looking directly at the camera. “Penelope, we’ve been over this. I’m 36. I’ve been with the team for over a decade. I’ve done time in a maximum security prison. I haven’t been a BAU ‘baby,’” he made air quotes with his hands, “for ten years.”
Penelope rolled her eyes, causing you to giggle and causing Spencer to furrow his brow. “Oh, Dr. Reid, your wit is charming but I fear you’ll always be a BAU baby in my mind.”
Spencer huffed.
“Regardless, it’s nice to see my babies together,” she said, her cheery disposition fading as she began clacking on her keyboard. “Anyway, I’ll see you lovebirds in an hour. Peace!”
You and Spencer had both frozen at her final statement as her face faded from the screen. Lovebirds?
In an attempt to diffuse the awkward silence that had fallen over the room, you cleared your throat. “I have to run home and grab my go-bag.” You rose and made for the door. Spencer remained seated, a perplexed look on his face.
“I’ll see you in an hour?” you half-asked.
Spencer snapped out of his thoughts, finally noticing that you were standing with your hand on his doorknob, ready to leave.
“Y-yeah. Of course. See you there,” he said, offering a small yet sincere small.
You drove home and grabbed your things, Penelope’s statement still ringing in your ears. Lovebirds.
Sure, you enjoyed spending time with Spencer. In the month since you’d met him, you’d gotten to know him quite well. You knew how he took his coffee, what books he was working through at the moment, and how his therapy was going. However, you didn’t think that qualified you as lovebirds.
You shook your head as you pulled into your parking spot at work. You were overthinking it. Penelope called people questionable names all the time. Just last week, the HR department was forced to give a seminar on workplace conduct after some of Penelope’s most famous lines were brought to the attention of the department.
Spencer had leaned over to you during the presentation, nudging you with his elbow. “Last time they gave one of these, Penelope got in trouble for calling our friend ‘dark chocolate thunder,’” he whispered. You had widened your eyes at him and looked appalled as he offered a small, mischievous smile, turning back to the front.
You paused for a moment before entering the building and thought about how that interaction had made you feel. The butterflies in your stomach took flight when he nudged your arm, the tingling sensation running through your veins as he whispered in your ear. Maybe Penelope wasn’t as far off as you thought.
Regardless, you had a job to do. So did Spencer, for that matter. Based on the worried glances your coworkers gave you when you walked into the roundtable room, you could tell it was going to be a doozy.
Emily and Spencer walked in moments later, taking their seats around the table. He offered you a small smile, which you kindly returned before focusing on Penelope’s presentation at the front of the room.
Another serial killer, another flight that was going to take you across the country.
For three days after touchdown in California, the team worked around the clock. On the third day, the team went out in pairs to keep watch over the local parks in town, from which women were being kidnapped and subsequently murdered. Emily had asked you and Spencer to stay behind at the police station in case any new developments came about.
By the time night fell, you weren’t sure when the last time you’d slept or eaten was. You were sitting on a couch in the meeting room assigned to the BAU for your time in California. You’d zoned out at the images of the victim’s bloody bodies before you on the coffee table, your eyes glazed over and bloodshot from the lack of sleep.
When someone placed a hand on your shoulder, you jumped in surprise.
“Just me,” Spencer said, putting one hand up in surrender. He’d walked in through the open door, you hadn’t even noticed his entrance.
You rubbed your eyes. “Sorry. What’s up? Any news?”
Spencer shook his head, sitting down next to you. He cleared his throat. “You could sleep, you know? I can always wake you if something changes.”
You yawned. “I appreciate the offer, but don’t you think that’s unfair? You haven’t slept either.”
He shrugged, glancing sideways at you. “I didn’t sleep for more than an hour at a time for three months of my life. This is nothing.”
You looked at him in that moment. Truly looked at him. The small scar on the side of his neck where a few stray curls ended. The stubble on his cheek, getting longer each day you worked this case. Finally, your eyes met his.
“Alright,” you relented. “Just promise you’ll wake me up if something changes.”
Spencer nodded. “I’ll be right here next to the phone. Rest for a little bit.”
Without another word, you sunk further down on the couch and laid your head back, falling into a dreamless sleep.
SPENCER’S POV
I developed this habit of staring at clocks while I was away. Some might think that makes the time pass slower, but on the contrary, I found that the minutes flew by faster if I could zone out at something for long enough.
I found myself practicing this same habit as the night passed. The only thing that pulled me from my daze was Y/N’s body shifting on the couch next to me.
I turned to look at her. She rested her head on the back of the couch. Her hair had fallen haphazardly over one side of her face. The black top she wore was dangerously close to slipping off her shoulder. I leaned forward to strip off my suit jacket and gently lay it over her, the thick fabric wrinkling. As if on cue, she subconsciously pulled the jacked around her figure, burying her face in the material.
I felt my heart warm at the sight and bit back a smile. She was still too innocent for the job. Probably too innocent for this world, frankly. But the pleasure of getting to know her had made Emily’s decision to place her on the team a no-brainer. She was, by all intents and purposes, a ray of sunshine.
“You two look cozy,” Luke spoke from the doorway.
My eyes shot up to face him. I tried to act casual like I wasn’t just oogling over my coworker. “Oh. Yeah, she is.”
Luke rolled his eyes. “Jig’s up, Reid,” he started, leaning against the doorway. “You’ve been looking at her like that for weeks. Why don’t you just ask her on a date?”
I cringed. “Why does everyone keep insinuating that we’re somehow romantically involved?”
“Well let’s see,” Luke held up his fingers to count as he spoke. “You guys talk to each other like, all the time.” One. “You didn’t tell her to move when she accidentally sat in your seat at the conference table.” Two. “I know for a fact that she’s been out with you at least three nights a week, hence why she didn’t come out with Garcia and me last weekend.” Three. “You actually laugh when she tells you a joke.” Four. “You keep staring at her-”
“Alright, I get it,” I interrupted, holding up a hand to quiet him. I sighed. “You’ve forgotten some pretty important details in your explanation.”
Luke raised an eyebrow. “Like what?”
It was my turn to do the counting. “She’s roughly eight years younger than I am. I haven’t the faintest clue if she’s seeing anyone. She’s only known me for a month and she happens to know about… my history.” Luke glanced up at me, a touch of sympathy in his gaze. “Prison time is not exactly a turn-on to most women,” I admitted.
Luke took a deep breath. “Well, I hope it works out however you want it to, Reid. I can say this for sure, I haven’t seen you this happy in a year.”
I watched him begin to walk away before he turned to look back over his shoulder. “By the way, we caught the guy. Wheels-up in thirty.”
With that utterance, he was gone.
READER’S POV
The next thing you remembered was Spencer gently shaking your shoulder. “Y/N,” he said your name quietly.
You rolled over, groggy as you pulled the blanket tighter around yourself. “Yeah, what’s up, Spence?”
“The case is closed. We’re going to get ready to go home.”
Your eyes shot open. “Really? I can’t believe we missed it,” you said, sounding somewhat disappointed.
Spencer shrugged. “I think I would prefer the comfort of this place than being out there.” He pointed out the window where a steady rain had begun falling over the parking lot.
You groaned, peeling the blanket off your body. It was just then that you realized it wasn’t a blanket, but Spencer’s jacket.
“Oh. Uh. Here you go,” you offered it back to him.
Spencer took it from you, immediately beginning to overexplain himself. “Sorry, I just thought you looked kind of cold and your shirt was hanging off your shoulder so I thought it would be better if I-”
“Spencer,” you cut him off. “I was just going to say thank you.”
He raised an eyebrow. “Oh, yeah. Of course. Sorry.”
“Stop apologizing. Let’s just get out of here and back home.” You offered him a warm smile, reassurance that he hadn’t overstepped your boundaries.
You found it quite endearing, actually- him having covered you up. When he smiled back, your stomach did a backflip. God, you were screwed.
The two of you hurriedly packed up the files strewn about the precinct and drove back to the hotel. The flight home was relatively uneventful. You did, however, notice Luke giving you one of his mischievous smiles. Halfway through the flight, you couldn’t take it anymore.
“Luke, what is your deal?” you asked quietly not to wake JJ, seated next to you. Spencer, who sat across from the table on the jet’s couch, sneaked a glance up from his book, slyly listening in to the conversation you’d started.
“Did you have a nice nap earlier this evening, Y/N?” Luke asked jokingly.
You rolled your eyes. “As a matter of fact, I did. Why are you asking?”
Luke glanced over at Spencer. “I saw loverboy went out of his way to keep you warm.”
It was your turn to glance at Spencer, whose cheeks were turning pink as his lips pressed into a thin line. He looked back down at his book, acting as though he wasn’t listening.
You leaned forward across the table. “Look, Luke. I’m not sure what delusions Penelope is feeding you, but Spencer and I are just friends. Just like me and you. Just like me and everyone on this team.”
“Uh huh,” Luke said, unconvinced. He popped a piece of candy into his mouth. “When’s the last time you spent three evenings at my apartment?”
“Maybe I would spent three evenings at your apartment if you were intelligent and mature enough to keep up an adult conversation,” you shot back.
Luke raised his eyebrows. “Touched a nerve there, did I?” he joked.
“It isn’t funny, Luke,” you scolded. “And for that matter, I happen to be seeing someone.”
That caught everyone’s attention. You saw Spencer twitch out of the corner of your eye, his brow furrowing has his grip on the book in his hands became firmer. Luke laughed.
“You have been going out with someone?” he asked, somewhat incredulously.
You took offense to his reaction. “Why is that so hard to believe?”
Luke shrugged. “I don’t know. I just hadn’t heard about this before.”
“Well, I don’t exactly go out of my way to talk about my personal life. Now if you’ll excuse me,” you tapped the empty coffee cup in your hands. “I need to replenish my supply.”
You made your way to the back of the jet. Seeing the coffee pot empty, you began the task of brewing more.
“Was that true?” Spencer asked from behind you.
“Jesus,” you said, trying not to jump out of your skin, “You’ve really got to quit sneaking up on me like that.”
“Sorry.” He stood awkwardly in the doorway, blocking your view of the rest of the jet. “But was it true?”
“Which part?” you challenged, watching the dark liquid fill the pot.
“The part about you seeing someone.”
Your cheeks reddened. “No. It wasn’t true. I just wanted to get Luke off my back,” you admitted.
Spencer sighed what almost sounded like a sigh of relief. “Was the rest of it true?” he continued.
“What do you mean?” You looked at him, genuinely confused as to what he was referencing.
Spencer took a step closer to you, and you could feel the heat coming off his body as he looked down at you. He lowered his voice to a near whisper, “The part about us just being friends.”
Oh.
“Well, I- you know we haven’t really ever discussed if we would even… I- I don’t know,” you stuttered.
Spencer nodded and the serious expression on his face faded to his normal friendly facade. “Right. I just wanted to check,” he said casually before making his way back to his seat.
You were in shock regarding the conversation that had just occurred and remained that way for the rest of the flight. You found yourself glancing at Spencer often and occasionally, you’d catch him looking at you too.
You put your headphones in, in an attempt to take your mind off of it. The reprieve of the music in your ears was short-lived as JJ nudged your shoulder. “Did you hear Emily?” she asked.
“What? No, what did I miss?” you looked around, confused, before Emily appeared beside you.
“Sorry, I should’ve checked to make sure everyone could hear me,” she apologized. “Change of plans. We’re stopping in Tennessee. I just got a call from an old colleague. They need some help.”
You tried to hide your disappointment. All you wanted to do was get home to go to bed. Not to mention, you needed time to think over this whole Spencer thing. However, it was clear that wasn’t going to happen.
Two hours later, you were on the ground in Nashville.
The team stumbled into a hotel lobby. It was 2 a.m. You could tell you all looked terrible, and you weren’t sure you all smelled much better.
“Alright,” Emily said, coming back from the check-in counter. “Here’s the deal. Since I booked last minute, I could only get four rooms. We’re going to have to double up.”
You watched as pairs were quickly formed. JJ and Emily stepped to one side. Tara and Luke to another. Rossi and Matt even joined up. You and Spencer stood awkwardly next to each other.
“Right, well, here are your keys,” she handed you the room keys for yourself and Spencer. You sighed and took off for the elevator, Spencer in tow.
The elevator ride and walk to the room passed without a word. When you stepped into the hotel room, you immediately flopped your bags on the ground and dropped to the floor.
For the first time in two hours, Spencer spoke. “What are you doing?”
You didn’t get up, still lying prone on the floor. “Relaxing.”
“Do you know how many germs are on the floor of a hotel room? If I had to estimate, based on research-”
“Spence, please,” you cut him off, “I’m getting up, I’m getting up.” You rolled over and sat up, looking up at him.
It was also the first real glimpse you’d caught of the room since arriving, and you felt your stomach drop when you grasped one key detail.
There was only one bed.
Oh. Oh.
Spencer followed your eyes to the single bed. “Don’t worry, I’ll sleep on the floor,” he said sincerely.
You scoffed. “Spencer, that’s ridiculous. You’ve told me time and time again how your back bothers you because of these terrible hotel beds. I can’t imagine what state sleeping on the floor would leave you in. I’ll do it.”
He shook his head. “I would never expect you to do that.”
“I know." you weighed your words carefully. “We can share the bed, you know? It won’t be a big deal. As long as you’re comfortable with it, of course.”
Spencer looked between you and the bed for a moment. “Okay,” he said simply, throwing his bag on the ground. “Do you prefer a certain side?”
You hummed, standing up from the floor. “Do I want the slide closer to the AC or the side closer to the window?”
Spencer smiled, raising his eyebrows. “These are some tough decisions.”
You nodded. “I’ll take the window. You can have the vent.”
“How thoughtful,” he quipped.
You bent over and began going through your bag. “You can go ahead and shower first, Spence.”
He nodded. “Alright, I’ll be quick.”
Grabbing his bag, he disappeared into the bathroom and shut the door. You heard the click of the lock and sighed in a mix of relief and disappointment. He hadn’t brought up your previous conversation. Maybe he hadn’t meant it or maybe he meant it differently than you interpreted.
Pulling your pajamas from your bag, you resigned yourself to sit on the edge of the bed and wait. Minutes later, Spencer reappeared. His hair, slightly damp, hung down over his eyes. He wore a pair of plaid pajama pants and a loose t-shirt that clung nicely to his biceps.
He looked good. Really good.
You were lucky you didn’t start drooling right there. Spencer caught your gaze. “Is there something on my shirt?” he asked seriously.
You shook your head, averting your eyes. “No! I mean - no. Not at all. I’m just tired.” You stood up from the bed and without another word, shut yourself in the bathroom in an attempt to get yourself under control.
SPENCER’S POV
It had been five minutes and seventeen seconds since Y/N went to take a shower. I laid back on the bed, head propped up by some pillows, and thought as the time passed.
It had been five minutes and forty-five seconds of me thinking about how to approach this conversation with her.
I knew after our exchange on the plane that I’d have to come to terms with my feelings eventually. Even if I’d only known her for a month, I couldn’t help but gravitate towards her. I loved her smile, the way she laughed at my jokes, and how she genuinely listened when I talked.
Most of all, I was starting to think I loved her.
When I heard the bathroom door open, I tried to be nonchalant. I reached for my book on the side table and quickly began reading through it, flipping pages as I finished them. I felt a dip in the bed and saw her sit on the edge out of my periphery.
She was slipping her socks on, facing away from me, her damp her hanging loosely in front of her face. I wanted to do nothing more than tuck it behind her ear and kiss her right then and there.
I had to be logical, I told myself. I shook the thoughts away and tried to focus on the book in my hands.
READER’S POV
Spencer didn’t speak to you when you came out from the shower, offering only a glance and a small smile as he skimmed through the book in his hands. After slipping on your socks, you tucked yourself under the covers next to him, turning off the light next to your side of the bed.
It was silent for a moment before you heard his book thud down on the side table. “Goodnight, Y/N,” he said, flipping the lamp off.
“Night, Spence,” you said back. You rolled to your side so your back was to him, trying to minimize the amount of space you took up in the bed.
The two of you stayed that way for twenty minutes. You breathed slowly, trying not to think about the man in the bed next to you. Just when you thought you may have relaxed enough to drift off to sleep, the lamp next to Spencer’s side of the bed flipped on.
You kept your eyes shut, pretending to be asleep as you felt him shift in the bed. You wondered if he was just restless, struggling to wind down after working so many cases back to back. Seconds later, he spoke.
“I know you’re awake. I think we should talk,” he said quietly.
Your eyes shot open. You rolled over to face him, trying to remain calm. “Okay. What do you want to talk about?”
“Let’s play a game,” he suggested. Your eyebrows shot up. You did enjoy a good competition. “I’ll ask you a question, you ask me a question. How does that sound?” Spencer asked.
You searched his eyes for any hint of mischief but found none. Who were you to say no? You sat up in the bed, crisscrossing your legs as you faced him.
“Shoot,” you challenged him.
“Does it bother you when the team suggests we’re romantically involved?”
You hadn’t quite expected that one. You looked around the room, taking a deep breath as you pondered. “Not as much as it probably should. Does it bother you?” you countered.
Spencer shook his head. “Only when I thought it made you uncomfortable. Now that I know it doesn’t, no.” He paused for a second, narrowing his eyes at you as he tried to pick out his next question.
During this lull, you reached for your water bottle on the side table and took a quick drink. “Do you find me attractive?” he asked.
You nearly spit out your water.
You sat up a bit straighter, trying not to let him see just how attractive you thought he was. “Well… that’s quite a direct question. But, yeah. Yeah, I think you’re attractive.”
Spencer nodded, satisfied, though he didn’t look smug. Just content.
“Do you think I’m attractive?” you asked.
Spencer glanced up at you, his hands folding and unfolding in his lap as he tapped the tips of his fingers against his thigh. “Very,” he admitted.
The two of you were quiet once more, not sure what to do with this newfound information.
Spencer cleared his throat and you could hear the doubt and concern seeping into his voice when he spoke again. “Does it bother you that I’m older than you are?”
You figured that was coming. “No. You’ve never made me feel younger or dumber for it. I often forget we aren’t the same age.” You shrugged before continuing. “Does it bother you that I’m younger?”
Spencer thought for a moment. “No, it doesn’t bother me. I was just afraid you’d think I was strange for finding you attractive since you are younger than I am.”
You laughed. “Spencer, I find you strange for many reasons, but our age difference is not one of them.”
Spencer smiled shyly at you. He seemed to appreciate the endearing way you used the word “strange” to describe him.
“Can-” he stuttered for a moment, you could tell he was nervous about his next question. He took a breath, building confidence. “Can I kiss you?”
Your breath caught in your throat, eyes widening immediately. He turned a bright shade of crimson, his confidence seemingly wavering. “You can say no, of course. I’m sorry if I made this weird, I just thought-”
“You can kiss me,” you interjected. He looked at you, his crimson blush fading away but his eyes still uncertain. “I’d like for you to, actually,” you reassured.
Spencer sat up straighter on the bed, his earlier expression gone serious as he moved closer to you. He gently placed one hand on your cheek, holding you in place as his lips met yours.
His lips were soft. In fact, everything he was doing was soft. The way he gently cupped your face, the way his other hand had come up to tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ear, the way his mouth moved against yours. His tongue probed your mouth open, a small moan eliciting from him when you allowed him access.
The tenderness disappeared quickly as he kissed you with more urgency. The two of you fell back on the bed like teenagers.
His hands moved from your face to your waist, holding you firmly against him. You tested the waters by moving your hands up his back and into his hair, earning a sigh of approval on his part.
You slipped a hand under the front of his shirt, trailing your fingers across his chest. He pulled away from you, gently grabbing your hand.
“Too far?” you asked in a small panic, quickly withdrawing your hand from under the fabric of his shirt.
“Not at all,” he shook his head sincerely. “I just don’t want to get carried away.”
Spencer sat up, his hand on your waist bringing you up with him. You both leaned back against the bed, your head resting on his chest.
“I want to do everything with you,” he said lowly. You could feel his voice rumble through his chest as he spoke. “I want to do all of this and more. However, I do believe you deserve more than some random hotel with the guy who has only known you for a month.”
“You're not a random guy," you corrected. You were a bit disappointed, but you understood and appreciated his sentiment. It was silent for a moment. "So where do we go from here?” you asked, genuinely curious.
Spencer smiled, wrapping his arm tighter around your waist. “I think I should start by asking you on a date. How do you feel about Vietnamese food?”
You raised an eyebrow, looking up at him. “You know I am very passionate about pho,” you joked.
“Yeah,” he rested his chin on the top of your head, “How about when we get back, we go out on a real date, in a real restaurant that isn’t my apartment, and we make this something real?”
You lifted your head up to meet his gaze at eye level. “I’d love to,” you said with a smile. “On one condition,” you added.
It was his turn to act surprised. “What’s that?”
“That you don’t refrain from kissing me until then. I do enjoy being close to you,” you answered.
Spencer grinned at you. His arm around your waist pulled you in for a soft kiss on the lips. After a moment, he pulled away. “Wouldn’t dream of it,” he answered.
You laid your head back on his chest as he flicked off the side table lamp, the two of you quickly falling asleep wrapped in each others' arms.

Filthy Animals
Shawn sighs trying to focus on his algebra book again to study as he hears all the noise coming from the living of the apartment he shared with his roommate.
He couldn't have any worse luck than living with the most sexist, grossest, filthiest, and DUMBEST guy he've ever met, Jaden was watching the football match with his bunch of good-for-nothing bros again, or apes, like Shawn liked to call them, filling the house with the obnoxious sound of their dumb laughs and bodily functions, Shawn swore he couldn't pass five minutes without hearing (or smelling, even from his room) a belch or fart those ogres would let out, and then giggle like toddlers cuz it was so much fun for them.
"BOOOOOUUUUURRRRRPPP" the jock lets a fat bassy belch out after drinking a whole can of beer "Woooh Broo! Hahaha, that was a fucking BEAST! ah?" He says joking with his slob peers as they all agreed while watching the game or commenting about the breast or butt from the cheerleader girls they were dating on.
It was already enough for him, as he made his way out of his room decided to confront him, he found him on the couch wearing nothing but his nasty underwear and a hand under it as he scratched his balls casually, Shawn grimaced.
"Y'all will never behave?! I can hear your disgusting noises from my room, You animals!" He said, almost red from rage, but Jaden simply letted a goofy laugh with the dumb smile and look he always had, same with his dudes.
"Lil bro, relax a bit, we're bonding as we men should do, you afraid to cut the cheese or what?" he smirked as he lifted one of his legs and pointed right at Shawn, he grunted and before the poor guy could do anything "Protein fart bomb!".
PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPRRRRRRRRRTTTTTT!!!
The putrid stink of the protein combined with the beer and all that food he and his friends were eating hitted Shawn almost immediatly, making him gag and feeling nauseus, wanting to run to the bathroom and throw up, while Jaden was having a good laugh and fist bumping with his all his bros, some even responding with another fart just to bother Shawn more "Damn i fucking stained my briefs with that one hahaha" Jaden said smiling, and it was no joke as even Shawn could see the brown mark on them, horrifying him.
"Ewwww! STOP YOU BRUTE!" He covered his nose "You are an ANIMAL" he hissed giving him a killer look.
"What is your damn problem?" It was then when Jaden got done with his whines and looked at him "Why dont you fucking relax and start acting like a man? You could even join us if you wanted" He offered, for Shawn's surprise, but the nerd was so mad that he made a disgusted face at the idea of it.
"I wouldn't join a group of slobs without manners who only know how to think with their cocks and fart or belch non-stop like fucking pigs, You are so dumb that you cant even count past 10 or say your own names correctly!" He stated, The jocks made overexaggerated gasping sounds, seeming offended by it, Jaden just stared with a neutral expression, his 'you're dead already' look perforing him deeply. Shawn quite started to fear him once he lost his sudden dose of courage.
"We'll see who ends up being the animal here, lil bro" was all the jock said before focus on the game again, leaving Shawn with a bad feeling running throught his spine as he rushed back to his room.
"Idiot... He just wants to scare me" He said as he seated again in his chair to continue his studying for the rest of the night, A little worried tho, for Shawn he just said the truth, but he didn't know what the immature and stinky athlete could do to him, time after overthinking about it he decided go sleep, unaware of the plan the Jocks at the living were making in that moment.
During the next morning, Shawn woke up around 9 am, so he supposed Jaden would probably be at the gym before his training, he got out his room and walked to kitchen to have some breakfast, but to his surprise he was there, still in his undies as always when he was home , eating some brownies from a plate that was in the table, before smiling at the nerdy guy "Brodaah!, you want some of these? My girlfriend brought me brownies cuz she made some for the annual campus event tomorrow, but i can share" he said, as innocently as he could sound, Shawn narrowed his eyes at him and then at the brownies
"If you farted on them i swear i'll throw them to you" he threatened, Jaden rolled his eyes, grabbing another "Bro, grab some, i didn't put anything nor poisoned them, ya paranoid" He said "I left the white chocolate ones for you, i ate the rest"
The pale guy doubted for a sec, but then he thought that Jaden maybe couldn't even be that smart to think on something to ruin the food, he was the last of his class and his IQ didn't pass over 65.
He slowly extended his arm, and picked up a brownie, he sniffed it before "Smells a bit rare... What did she use to bake them?"
Jaden simply proceeded to shrug "they tasted good to me, just try one bruh! You wont regret" The jock said once again, Shawn looked at it unsure of what to do, after some eternal seconds, he sighed and finally bited the brownie, gulping it down his throat once finished
"Eh... Actually it wasn't so bad-" He got interrupted by a huge growl, coming from his deep gut in his stomach, he held it in pain with a hand, and somehow for some reason he started to feel a bit... Bloated.
"What the hell was in that?!" The nerdy guy looked in horror the taller jock, who just dedicated him an evilish and satisfied grin.
"You'll see, lets just wait it does its effect" He said, Shawn tried to run, but he couldn't move neither "This is bullsh-..SHIOOooOOOUUURRRRPP" a wet then deep and smelly belch made its way out of him out of nowhere, but instead of feeling ashamed, that burp seemed to take all the worry out of him and leaving him on a slacking and relaxed state.
"Cool haha" Jaden approached him, seeing the scrawny boy with a lost look standing there "Now we can start... Where should we... You said we were animals, but what if i tell you you are one too? Man, you even smell worse than me, just sniff your pits!"
Shawn proceed to lift his arm and sniff deeply, he showered daily, but now his armpits immediatly took a fetid and rank odor that could make even the strongest faint.
"And you also said we dont have manners, remember? You dumbass, we both know your fumes are deadly, you love to let it rip bruh hahaha"
PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPRRRRRRRTTTTTT!!
That blast made Shawn's pants vibrate at the bass from that fart, with each gas he letted out, his expression seemed more and more relaxed and drool scaped from his lips.
"You forgot you are such a dumb jock" Shawn made a goofy laugh at that as he scratched his butt.
"Such a dumb and gross jock"
"BOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUURRRRRRP" was Shawn's response this time.
"You truly are an animal, dude, so dumb and filthy i cant imagine how you are even able to talk haha"
"Du... Dumb hahaha" A new deep voice came out of his throat, and then he belched again before grinning stupidly.
"Oh and, for the record" he made a pause "I did farted on those brownies, but just yours man, and Bryan could possibly rubbed them in his ass... And Wesley maybe burped on them too, i dunno, just enjoy the extra flavor haha"
Shawn never felt more dizzy or dazed in all his life, not that it mattered now tho, his life now was being a hot dumb and smelly jock, blasting burps and farts as if it was his own breath, it felt good to be dumb, it felt good to act like a man.

Just Tojo, sukuna and y/n being a unofficial relationship throughout their school years.
Fushiguro toji x black coded fem reader x Ryomen sukuna
In elementary it was of course cute how wherever sukuna went toji and y/n followed, both admiring the cute short pink haired young boy with Pokémon limited edition cards and the cool fake sticker he had on his arm. All of their parents found it adorable how the two would hang onto Sukuna’s arms and be by his side in any photos.
Come middle school and y/n branched out to feminine things and got her group of girlfriends, she found it so icky when people tried to ship her with the two boys. Whenever she came to cheer sukuna and toji on at soccer games she cringed when the popular boy satoru made teasing remarks.”you cheering your boyfriendsssss on y/n?” It made her cringe and make a exaggerating gagging sound while sticking out her tongue and crossing her eyes.
In high school there was a slight shift, a big shift actually. With developing bodies, especially y/n’s body and fashion sense developing and the two boys being well.. boys at the end of the day small feelings would arise. When they were hanging around in y/n’s decorated room and she spun around to show them a new pink dress she was sporting to the mall it took everything in toji to respond with a controlled response out his nasty new mouth, he kept quiet for a bit making y/n roll her eyes.”wouldn’t hurt for my two best friends to gimme a damn review of the dress y’know!” Sukuna rolled his eyes a bit at toji, it’s not like he was shaming since he wasn’t any better but he gave him a ‘keep it together dumbass’ look. He responded for toji and him,”you look ethereal y/n, don’t look a mess for once! Who knew ya could pull it off.” His compliment always came with a joking jab.
The two were over protective without noticing it too. Toji knew how his teammates on the school football team could be such pigs when it came to women and even spreading a rumor about a girl. Any type of,”you and sukuna be running a two man or what?” Line he shuts down. He knows y/n isn’t like that and wouldn’t even wanna be perceived like that. He groans when he first hears that and gives the teammate who said that a death stare as a way to say,”watch your damn mouth”
Everyone in their friend group could sense sometimes a tension between the 3 also. If y/n was out with one of the boys sometimes a innocent employee would ask if they were a couple y/n’s eyes would bulge while toji shakes his head chuckling. “Oh no no me and him aren’t— I would never sorry!” Y/n gets caught on her words a bit, it’s amusing to toji.
When it comes to men they’re protective too also. Anytime she’s speaking about one of their teammates in a lovesick manner they don’t break it to her easy, well sukuna does harshly.”don’t fuck with em, assholes with big egos.” It makes y/n giggle a little.”you have experience with guys like that kuna?” She flicks her wrist a bit too, it was no secret to toji or y/n that sukuna was a bit on the fruity side, but honestly who wasn’t in highschool? Sukuna just gives her the finger sighing.”just don’t date em, you’ll be sadly disappointed with a signed football in your hand at the end.”
Come college the three were even more cozy with one another without realizing it. Getting lucky and sharing a dorm gave them the freedom to be as comfortable with each other as they already were. The three slept together in Sukuna’s bed a lot, to much of his sukuna’s dismay. He always groans when he has Toji’s muscular figure hugging him by one side and y/n hugging him tighter but does he complain? Hell no. He wouldn’t admit it but he liked the warm comfort of the two overgrown babies.
Y/n acted much like a care taker to the boys sometimes. Based on a conversation she had with toji about him barely taking the time to eat and sukuna not even bothering to eat because of all the fast food restaurants he hates around his job she took it into her own hands to always cook for the all three of them. Before they even head out she sucks her teeth at him.”aht aht! Not having my friends pass out doing sweaty ass work, take the lunches.” Sukuna looked forward to it, she cooked to his taste never making a sloppy burger or fried food while she cooked the sloppiest for toji, he always says he would burn and sweat it off anyways.
At college parties she always had them dressing up making people looking forward to the trip. On Halloween sukuna dressing as a ketchup bottle and toji as a mustard bottle while y/n was a hotdog. On thanksgiving sukuna would be a turkey while y/n and toji are pilgrims. On Christmas y/n was a reindeer while sukuna and toji were elves. And even on Easter they all would dress as Easter bunnies. Nobody ever knew how y/n got these overgrown men to dress up.

Part 2 !!!
✩ parings. (blk!reader x Rio)
✩ summary. Valarie was secretly a gang leader, and no one knew about it; however, she retired due to the FBI following her around for the past five years. Rio is a gang leader that her best friends work for; however, he has feelings for Valarie, but she doesn't really have them for Rio. Is she going to fall in love with him, or will they be at war?
✩ warnings. cursing, threats
. . ˚ . . ˚ . . ˚ . . ˚ .
Beth's house-
A guy named Rio showed up at Beth's house, threatening all of us because of the money we took from the grocery store. I mean, I would too since we took over half a million, but it is what it is. We honestly didn’t know that he owned the grocery store or had ties with them, but I guess he did. Rio has a tattooed eagle on his neck and a buzz cut. He has warm, hickory eyes full of mystery, dominance, and a touch of familiarity that gave me comfort and excitement. He came in with three other guys. They all had a big build with tattoos and were wearing all black. Rio was also wearing black, but he was shorter than the other guys that were surrounding him; however, his body gave off a sense of security and self-confidence, making the three other guys look weak. His face contorted with rage, and his body was tensed up while he slowly paced throughout the kitchen as he made heavy eye contact with all four of us. His thick, husky voice echoed through the house as he made this short speech about getting his money back. I toned out half of it because I had made that speech a hundred times to people, but it sounded way better. We were all standing in the kitchen, surrounded by the guys he was with. Beth, Ruby, and Annie were all in tears, pleading for their lives, but I looked at him with a deceiving glare, not giving a crap about what he was saying. He was boring me, and I think he noticed that when he looked at me. He paused for a minute, and a heavy silence flooded the air. His eyebrows furrowed as he started walking slowly towards me. His jaw clenched up as his thick hazel eyes met mine in fury.
He wiped his mouth slowly as he got closer to me. "Oh, I’m sorry, am I boring you?” he said in a threatening voice. I looked up at him with an unbothered expression. "Nah, carry on, though,” I responded to him in a nonchalant tone. He started getting closer and closer to me, and my body started to tense up. I stood up straight as I kept eye contact with him, not giving him any satisfaction, but all he could do was give me a grim smirk. He chuckled. "So... you think this is funny, huh?"
I took a step towards him and looked up at him with a blissful smirk growing on my face. "Yeah, I actually do.” I paused. "Rio, right?"
I could see the anger on his face grow heavier by the minute when those words spilled out of my mouth. However, all he could do was laugh. He backed away from me, turning his back away from all four of us. “So you bitches think it's some kind of joke, huh?"
"No, we don't,” Beth said in a sharp yet anxious manner, looking at me with a scared look on her face.
I shrug my shoulders. “I think it’s fucking hilarious,” as the crack of my heels echoed through the house as I took my first step on the cold, hickory floor towards him, catching Rio's attention. He turned around in a swift motion as his cold, hard eyes caressed over my body. I stand closer to him as my chest brushes over his, feeling his body heat bounce off him and onto mine. Rio hovers over me and chuckles softly, breaking eye contact with me for a minute.
He looked back at me with a deceiving smirk on his face. “You got a lot of balls, ma; I like it.” He said it in a husky voice as he walked away from me and right out the door with everyone he brought
with him. I look over at him walking out with a smile painted on my face, amused by him even though it's a bad thing to feel like that but I did.
A months later:
Working with Rio has its ups and downs, but I’ve been through worse. My girls have been struggling with keeping up with the lies and guilt, especially my sister Ruby. All we're doing is spending fake money and turning it into real money, and I don’t know what's hard about that. They can’t keep up with any of this because of all the mistakes they're making, and I can't tell them because I don’t want them to know what I did in the past. Anyway, we almost got caught two times already, and it's kind of painful to watch, but I’m doing this for my girls and giving them what they need. It's not like I need the money I’m set for the rest of my life, but I know they don't, so I'd rather help them more than I ever did. They make their mistakes, and they’ll all move on from them, but this mistake was stupid as fuck even for them. And it's not even Ruby or Annie's fault; it's Beth's fault because she lets her emotions get the best of her. It’s been like that since I was a kid, and it’s not like the task was hard. It was just delivering trucks to a warehouse; however, Beth got pulled over, but she discovered that there was nothing in there, and the cop let her go. After that, she went to Rio, pissed him off, and threw the keys at his face. “What we had here is done; go home,” Rio said in a calm voice.
Now? I’m the one who has to get them out of it. We're in the kitchen as they tell me about the little plan they have for me.
“Please Val.” Ruby said it in an anxious voice. “You're the only one he has feelings for,” she announced quietly.
My eyes widened, and I looked up at Ruby, annoyed at what she just said. I lean against the counter, rolling my eyes. “The feels, Ruby, are you fucking kidding me?”
Annie sighs as her eyes furrow in worry. “I mean..." she says slowly as she anxiously plays with the sleeve of her shirt.
I turn my head towards her, letting out a soft chuckle. “So you guys all think that he..." They all slowly nodded their heads simultaneously, and I just looked at them in disbelief. I let out a frustrated sigh as they just all looked at me like lost puppies. “All you have to do is ask him to get us back in the loop; that's it." Beth announced softly, but all I could do was look at them with a dumbfounded look on my face. "Please,” Ruby begged. I looked into my sister's saddened eyes and sighed, "Fine, I’ll do it for god's sake, but if I get killed, I'm going to be pissed." They all had an innocent smile on their faces, and all I can do is roll my eyes at them.
Two days later:I stepped out of Beth's house, slamming the front door as I walked down her driveway towards a black Range Rover. I wore black jeans and a black fitted long-sleeve shirt. My black stilettos clacked against the rocky sidewalk as the illuminating car drew me closer to it, sending a bitter chill down my spine. A dash of excitement hit my body when I pulled the hasty black door handle, revealing Rio gazing over my body, looking up and down at me. I felt his strong pair of eyes still caressing my body after I got in the car
with him. I liked the feeling of him admiring me, but I’m here for business only. Rio lets out a soft chuckle, and being coy, he says, “You look so good today. Is this all for me, baby? Aww, you shouldn't have."
I roll my eyes and look at him with a judgmental glare. "Nah, I wore this for me, Rio. Now please drive.” I said as I turned my head away from him, looking out the window. I can still feel his eyes admiring me, but I didn’t pay any attention to him. He drove off after.

Cia!! Thanks so much for sending this my way! I always appreciate your lovely GIFts 😉😉 I’m sorry this one took a bit…I struggled with figuring out a plot for it. This could be read with the couple from my series Birmimgham, but there’s nothing specific that locks it down to them…so it’s a regular Tommy x Reader as well! (I just wanted to write a little something more with those two) I hope you enjoy! :)
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!
Not How I Wanted It To Go
Tommy Shelby
Warnings: language
Tommy’s initial plan of calling the men into the kitchen gets thwarted when the someone, who’s not supposed to be present, walks in.
“Right, boys, you’re all here,” Tommy started as he took one last drag from his cigarette before removing it from between his lips and stamping it out in one of the bowls on the kitchen counter.
“Shoulda had a fuckin’ map done up,” Arthur commented on the vastness of the house that his younger brother now owned as he and the other men filed into the space.
“Party’s still goin’ on out there, Tom…why’ve you got us in here?” Johnny Dogs questioned while eyeing up one of the trays that the cook staff was busy preparing.
“I wanted to let you all know before I go and do it…” Tommy trailed off, taking a deep breath as he rested his hands on his hips, “I’m going to propose to (Y/N),” he announced his plan, making the room burst into cheers and hollers.
“Fucking finally!” John exclaimed, a wide grin on his face.
“It took ya long enough!” Arthur added, getting in on the teasing, walking over to clap Tommy on the back.
“Is this why we’re all packed into this crowded house?” Uncle Charlie asked, his brows raising.
“Fuck you callin’ crowded, Charlie? This place is bigger than all of our houses on the lane combined and then rebuilt two times over,” John jumped in before Tommy could respond, refuting the older man’s statement, “and let’s not get started on the fuckin’ stables…can fit half of the King’s horses in…”
“Oi, John!” Tommy cut his brother off, sending a warning glare in his direction, “enough,” was all he had to say before John fell back into line. Tommy huffed at the tangent they’d just been taken on before responding to the original question, “it’s one of the reasons, yeah.”
He and (Y/N) were hosting a party at their new estate; a housewarming celebration. (Y/N) had wanted to have it so that she could finally invite all of their friends and family over. Tommy thought that it was a good place to finally propose to her.
“So you’re gonna do it then, Tommy?” Jeremiah was the one to bring the group back to the original topic of discussion.
“Yeah,” Tommy nodded his head in a definitive manner.
“When, brother?” Arthur wanted to know the details.
“Today,” Tommy’s voice still held confidence. Surprised expressions formed on the faces of the men in the room. Tommy looked around once before he continued talking, “I’m going to do it today and I pulled you all in here to let you know where you fit into it…” he paused, looking around the room once again, “it’s going to happen later, which means you fuckers can’t do anything that will embarrass her or make her upset…”
“This is (Y/N) we’re talkin’ ‘bout here, Tom,” John interjected with a grin on his face.
His words made Tommy zero in on him, “anything,” he repeated, his eyebrows raised to show the seriousness in the situation, unhappy that John was still joking. He looked around the room to see the men watching him intently. He ran a hand over his face before continuing, “no taking bets, no stealing stuff, no sizing up her extended family…”
“What if they come at us?” Isiah cut into Tommy’s speech this time, looking to the right then so that he could send Michael a grin. Those two had gotten into enough fights together.
“What?” Tommy spun to look at him, his brows now furrowed in confusion. He was slowly but surely slipping to the end of his rope with the questions and interruptions.
“What if they start the fight?” Isiah asked his question with slightly different wording.
“You step away. We’re not fighting tonight…do you understand me? No fighting…” he paused as he moved over to the line of men, moving down and pointing at each one of them as he repeated his statement, “no fighting, no fighting, no fighting…” he paused again, moving to the middle so that he could look at the entire group again, “no. Fucking. Fighting!” he barked his order, the frustration slipping through in his words. Isiah’s question had been the one to set it off. Silence fell in the room after his outburst, and he took a few deep, steadying breaths as he looked at the men again, “are there any other questions?” he dared to them to continue, knowing that the next person who tried to would most likely get their head chewed off.
“Let us see the ring then, Tom,” Arthur’s words came out as a statement rather than a question, and it served to cut the tension.
Tommy huffed out a sigh then, rooting in his trousers’ pockets to retrieve the box as the men all began chattering again; this time about catching a glimpse of the ring he was going to give (Y/N). He opened the box as soon as he pulled it out, showing the men that had gathered around him.
“She’s gonna love it, brother,” Arthur commented, patting him on the back as he smiled proudly, “the last of the Shelby men to get married…besides Finn over there,” he said then, nodding his head at their youngest sibling.
“Though Finn might have married (Y/N) if you didn’t get around to it,” John added with a grin, his words making the boy they were talking about blush profusely.
It wasn’t hard to tell that Finn had a bit of a crush on (Y/N)…he’d been starstruck by her from the time that she helped him with his maths those few years ago.
“So you’re doing it tonight then?”
“Yeah, later. I wanted to have it so that she’s not overwhelmed by everyone after it happens,” Tommy explained more of his plan, smiling as he looked down at the ring.
A voice came from the entrance to the kitchen before anything else could be said. “What’s going on in here, Tommy?”
Tommy looked up from the ring upon hearing it and his throat went dry as his eyes fell onto (Y/N). Shit. “Uh…what’re you doing here, love?” he asked, feeling his heart rate increase. The ring was still out in full view…there was no way she didn’t see it!
“I came looking for you. Some of my family were getting ready to leave and wanted to thank you for the invite…what are you all doing?” she asked, trying to look anywhere but at the box in his hands.
“Might as well do it now, brother,” Arthur mumbled behind Tommy as a tense silence hung in the air.
Tommy glanced to his side, seeing his brother nodding towards (Y/N). He took a deep breath and let it out slowly as he decided to go forward with it. He took a few steps toward (Y/N) then, the jewelry box still clutched in his hands. “This is not how I wanted this to go, (Y/N)…” he started off, keeping his eyes locked onto her as her lips parted slightly in surprise, “I wanted to do it in a way that would make things more special; a way you deserved. I’ve never in my life loved someone as much as I love you, and there is no one I’d rather spend the rest of my days with…”
“Yes, Tommy,” (Y/N) breathed, beating him to the punch and making his brows furrow in response.
“I’ve not even gotten down on one knee, love,” he pointed out.
“I don’t need that. My answer’s yes,” she shook her head, a wide smile present on her face.
“(Y/N)…”
“Fuck the particulars, just put the ring on her finger!” John yelled from where the men were still gathered, his words cutting off Tommy’s hesitancy.
Tommy turned and shot a glare at his younger brother, who was wearing a shit-eating grin, before looking at (Y/N) once more. “Will you marry me, (Y/N)?” he asked her even though she’d already given her answer.
“Yes!” she nodded her head, reaching out to wrap her hand around the back of his neck so that she could pull him into a passionate kiss. Tommy took hold of her waist with the hand that wasn’t holding the ring, steadying himself as he kissed her back with equal passion.
A chorus of cheers broke out behind them as they broke away. Tommy took the ring from its holder and slid it onto her left hand, looking up at her with a big smile once it was sitting comfortably at the base. (Y/N) smiled back at him, tears pricking the corners of her eyes as the men moved in to begin congratulating them.
It may not have been the original, extravagent proposal that Tommy had been planning, but it was the perfect proposal for them.

QUACKITY ; tik tok challenge
summary ; quackity does the little kissing my best friend/crush challenge on tik tok
warnings ; language
genre ; fluff
word count ; 512
masterlist
Five years ago, if you were told that your best friend Alex Quackity made thirst trap Tik Toks, you genuinely would've cackled. Today, you would've shrugged and said 'cool' before returning to the current activity.
Five years ago, Alex jokingly hated on any popular artist on the radio because they were all overrated. Today, he listened to The Weeknd, Lil Nas X, and Jack Harlow religiously.
When Alex took his phone out in the middle of one of your usual sleepovers, you thought the same thing you always thought, that he was just going to make some drafts for his Tik Tok and maybe include you in some.
Not even five years ago, a trend arises on the platform, a little trend where people kissed their best friends/crushes I a seemingly normal little lip syncing video. Today, it wasn't popular to see anymore, but people did it with their crushes to see how they'd react and see if they had a chance, to see how they'd respond to it.
Today, Alex was going to test that theory on you.
Five years ago, Alex figured himself out, that he had a crush on you. Today, he kept it under well wraps. During the Dream SMP era, you two joked about liking each other on stream and on Twitter, and your fans played into it as well, but over time it faded, considering some people went to far and it made both of you uncomfortable. Five years ago, you started taking a little bit more than a liking to Alex, considering that there may have been some romantic tension pulling at the strings of your friendship. Today, you didn't believe that anymore, but slightly kept your hopes up, just in case.
Alex holds his phone up, lip syncing to False Alarm by The Weeknd, leaning back on the bedframe next to you. He tilts the phone so you're in frame. You look to him with a little smile and he looks back at you, singing the lyrics to you.
Over the video, you can be seen mouthing a 'yeah?' to him in a teasing manner. You turn back down to your phone, and he uses his free hand to rest his fingers under your chin and redirect your gaze back to him. Your brows furrow before he kisses you, and you both pull away at the same time. He looks for your reaction before laughing at your confused look.
"What?"
His eyes slightly widen as he quickly replies with "It's a trend!"
You, out of confusion and shock, kiss him one more time before he drops his phone to instead place his hand on your jaw, turning your head a little more upward towards him.
"Y/n I'm so in love with you it was a trend but I used it as an excuse I'm sorry-"
"Me too!"
Silence condemns you, the both of you staring at each other, trying to process the others words.
"Cool" You both speak in unison
You both go quiet again before he speaks up.
"So what now?"

We used to be a proper fandom (not really)
I'm not going to link or reference directly, because the claims have not been verified to any reasonable degree, but I have watched 911blr descend into... something... over the last couple of days because of a situation(s) involving truly horrendous fics, homicide-this-character accounts, and some pretty intense accusations about who (both specifically and as a group) is culpable for those behaviors. And I have some thoughts.
(Under the cut, because I ramble).
Desensitization and Escalation: The fics/account/posts/tweets didn't happen in a vacuum. They're, unfortunately, a natural evolution of what's been happening for months (before anyone ats me, on both/either side). It starts small: I hate so and so, I hate so and so's fans; so and so is the worst, so and so's fans are the worst. People become desensitized to it and then you're primed to escalate. THIS IS CLASSIC SOCIAL CONDITIONING. From I hate them, to someone should enact violence on them, to they deserve that violence, to I hope they die, to they have to die, etc.
I literally saw a tweet that stated something along the lines of "RT if you think we shouldn't consider (ship stans) humans". I'm sorry why are we questioning folk's humanity? About a television ship? The tweet did very well. Tons of likes and RTs. Anytime someone called them out for it, they were told to lighten up and learn how to take a joke. That it wasn't that serious. Well, here we are, a couple months later, and shit has gotten pretty serious now, eh?
And the longer in-groups permit this behavior, at any level, the more the cycle continues. And yes, it does need to be in-groups holding their own to account. And that's not always calling them out - especially if they're not in your circle. And not that you shouldn't call out behavior from the other side, but also - let's sweep our own kitchens before we call someone else's house a mess.
And, to be frank: both houses are messy so don't even.
And let me clarify by what I mean when I say holding people accountable. Because Tim Minear, to my knowledge, has not made any of us 9-1-1 fandom police, nor appointed a fandom inquisitorial squad. So you don't have to proverbially yell at someone to hold them accountable, though if you think they're open to a dialogue - then go for it. You can also choose not to engage/reblog/like/repost bad content; you can unfollow them, even if they make really cool art or write otherwise awesome fics or have really insightful takes 95% of the time. You can make a counterclaim or disavow a bad take; if it's someone in your circle by all means have a developmental conversation. The (ship) fandom would never! Yes they would. So would (other ship) fandom, and even (third ship) fandom and I've actually never met a toxic Bathena fan so go off kings (/gn) but there's probably one out there somewhere. Liking a ship isn't a vaccine to toxicity. Toxic, damaged people exist everywhere. They've existed since the dawn of time. I don't want to accuse anyone of being naive, but really? All this line of thinking does is create blind spots where we allow bad actors room and space to fester. We can, and should state that there's no space for this in the (ship) fandom, and anyone behaving in such a manner will face appropriate social sanctioning, up to and including ostracization. But to just flatly deny the possibility that someone on 'our side' might be bad is irresponsible.
The remedy is suffocation, not to ignore it: I get that you don't want to, to use fire metaphors because it's 9-1-1 after all, feed the flames by engaging with bad actors and giving them attention. Unfortunately, when you ignore a fire, it can spread unchecked.
Suffocate that motherfucker (metaphorically) and grab the burn kits. Starve them out. Unfollow, block - warn your friends - offer care to any affected. If it breaks ToS - report it. YOU SHOULD RESPOND, but you can choose to respond in ways that don't give bad actors the attention they may be craving.
This act was perpetuated by (ship) stans! I feel like I'm in an episode of Scooby Doo. It's not bad (ship) fans, it's (anti-that-ship) fans PRETENDING to be (ship) fans to make them look bad and sow chaos? RIP OFF THE MASK! Was it Agatha all along?
I do believe that happens. I also believe that not every single take that makes your preferred ship/fandom look bad is from a double agent. All pure, immediate, unequivocal denial and accusation does is provide cover and perpetuate the rot in that ship space. Before we immediately accuse the other side, we should show up with some goddamn receipts. (I have yet to see receipts).
And listen, people don't need to like each other, or even agree, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO OPEN AO3 WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT STUMBLING ACROSS UNTAGGED CSA, ESPECIALLY FOR MY HOMIES WHO ARE SURVIVORS, BECAUSE SOME JABRONI WENT "SHIP WARS RAH RAH!" AND DECIDED THAT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA.
At the end of the day - fandom should be joyful. If your entire experience has been reduced to bashing another ship, bashing characters, starting rumors about other fans, complaining about other fans/ships/characters, impersonating fans of ships you're against, or infiltrating 'enemy territory' like you're some kind of spy and not some overworked, underpaid 21st century serf trying to exist under the crushing, existential weight of our capitalist hellscape whose main form of escaping said hellscape is our weewoo show blorbos? Be so for real right now. It's giving Regina George. Why are you so obsessed with them? Choose to engage with joy (or alternatively, choose to engage in really sad fics if you need a good cry because that is fair and also valid).
Stormy out ✌️

21 Questions
Theodore Nott x Reader
Warnings: Cheating, alludes to sex but nothing direct, cussing
Off schedule, I know, but
youtube
I wish there was a situation to be mad at
Or a person I could blame
I've got a loud mouth, I'm pale with a ghost obsession,
But behind the scenes with her I'm playing 21 Questions
There's gotta be a reason
You keep your guy in hiding
I'm becoming what I've hated
But your talk is so inviting
You were dating Harry. You really shouldn't have been as enticing to Theo as you were. You were taken.
But after sitting next to you in class one day and you were assigned to work with the person sitting next to you, he spoke with you for the first time and he was a goner. The way you spoke, your voice, your mannerisms, Merlin, he could listen to you for hours and never get bored.
So, of course, he got your number. For the class, of course. Nothing more. The texts about the assignments were purely for academic reasons. I mean, of course he knew the answers to the questions he was asking you, he was just testing you. Like a study session. Over text. With someone he was maybe developing a crush on. But that's irrelevant. It was all for school. Not to just talk to you.
And neither were his questions during class itself. Still purely academic and friendly when he joked with you in class to hear your laugh and see your smile. He just didn't wanna be a rude classroom neighbor. That's all.
But then what?
You drop your guy and take me on,
It's everything I wanted,
But then what?
Would you get tired of my time?
My mood's dictated by our conversations,
And if you don't text I get too frustrated
I want you all to myself this time
Conflicted looks good on me
I'm trying desperately
I want you all to myself this time
He would never dream of you leaving Potter for him. He didn't dream of how your lips would feel against his, or your hands on him, or how warm and soft your skin would feel against his.
That'd be wrong of him. As much as he despises the boy, he couldn't imagine taking away his partner. Right?
And it most certainly didn't upset him when he texted you and you took a while to respond because he would be imagining you with your boyfriend. Your boyfriend that wasn't him. Your boyfriend that could hold you and kiss you and-
Oh. You responded.
I never have to
Carefully shape sentences
When I've got some words to say,
They're falling from my mouth from the time
That they hit my brain
'Cause we built a picture made for frames
We live in chemistry away from all the wasted time and taste
He managed to become your friend so easily, it could make him laugh. Your boyfriend and him hated each other, but yet, they both loved you so much. Of course, your boyfriend warned you about him and tried to get you to stop talking to him, but you shut that down quick, telling him to stop being controlling.
You asked Theo to go to Hogsmeade with you one weekend since Harry was going to be with his friends and Theo agreed eagerly. You two walked around the shops and bought things and played in the snow outside.
He couldn't ignore how cute you looked making snow angels with him and his body was moving faster than his brain. His brain only caught up once his lips connected to yours and he pulled back, mumbling apologies. But you cut him off by kissing him again.
But then what?
You dropped your guy and took me on,
It's everything I wanted,
But then what?
Would you get tired of my time?
My mood's dictated by our conversations,
And if you don't text I get too frustrated
I want you all to myself this time
Conflicted looks good on me
I'm trying desperately
I want you all to myself this time
Luckily for you two, no one saw the kiss, but you felt guilty. Especially when you were still kissing Theo when no one was looking. When his hands would roam over your body. When he laid you down in his bed and kissed every inch of skin he could get to. When you looked in the mirror the next morning and saw his marks on you under your clothes.
You broke it off with Harry. You never said why, but you're pretty sure he caught on when he saw you kissing Theo only a few days later.
Theo was over the moon to have you for himself. He was happy to get to touch you and kiss you without having to know he was sharing you with Harry.
But then he got a nagging feeling after a few weeks. If you could cheat on Harry, then you could with him. Someone else could charm you behind his back and take you away from him just like he did to Harry.
We built a picture made for frames
We live in chemistry away from all the wasted time and taste
And it sucks to sleep
'Cause you aren't talking to me
I wanna give you space
But the amount between us is wrecking me
This caused some fights with him. Your relationship was great otherwise. You liked him a lot, you were super affectionate together and could talk and joke about anything. So why was he starting problems that didn't exist?
You told him you need a break after another month of this back and forth. He agreed to it because he was mad in the moment. He hated seeing you in classes and around the castle, but he knew he'd make it worse going to you and disrespecting your space.
He missed your texts. He missed your kisses. He missed your touch. And your scent. And your laugh. He'd do anything to hear your laugh again.
But then what?
You dropped your guy and took me on,
It's everything I wanted,
But then what?
Would you get tired of my time?
'Cause then what?
You dropped your guy and took me on,
It's everything I wanted,
But then what?
Would you get tired of my time?
'Cause then what?
You dropped your guy and took me on,
It's everything I wanted,
But then what?
Am I in his position now?
'Cause then what?
You dropped your guy and took me on,
It's everything I wanted,
But then what?
Would you get tired of my time?
Even with him missing you, though, he couldn't shake that feeling away. What if you got bored of him? What if someone better comes along? What if you just cheat on him?
You did it to someone else before, you can do it again. He can't predict that.
And while he was stressing about that, you were upset at him for thinking you would do something like that to him. You weren't even thinking about other guys. You were thinking about him and how he made you happy when he wasn't doubting you.
Did you cheat on Harry for him? Yes. Does that make you feel insanely guilty? Yes. Would you ever even dream of cheating on Theo? No. He's made you happier than you felt in a long time. Happier than Harry made you feel. He made you feel appreciated and adored and loved. And you want to make sure he feels the same from you.
My mood's dictated by our conversations,
And if you don't text I get too frustrated
I want you all to myself this time
Conflicted looks good on me
I'm trying desperately
I want you all to myself this time
I'll forget you if you need me to,
Like nothing ever happened
My sun still sets without you,
Like nothing ever happened
“Can we please talk?” One simple sentence. But Theo had yet to press send on the text, wanting to give you the space you needed. Fuck it. He hated having you be mad at him and just wanted to sort this out. He finally hit send and watched for you to respond. When you didn't for a few hours, he had another ‘fuck it’ moment and went to your dorm. You opened the door and any angry feelings disappeared when he saw you. He hugged you before you had a chance to react saying a quiet ‘I miss you.’ in your hair, taking in the scent of your shampoo.
He went on a small spiel about how he's bad with emotions and he just got scared of losing you, but he understands if you're still mad and will go fuck off if you asked him to.
You could feel his whole body relax when he heard you laugh at the last part.

N. Hischier - Too Much To Drink
✄————————————
Nico Hischier x Fem!reader
Requested✨
Word Count: 2k
Warning(s): drunk reader, mention of sex, much fluff, a joking mention of abuse after the impaired reader smacks Nico in the face <3
No gif today, but this photo’s just too cute
—————————————
It wasn’t my fault. When a girl gets married, it’s a requirement for her bridesmaids to get completely shitfaced. At least in our friend group. At least that’s what I was telling myself.
“Yeah.. yeah Nic. She’s in my bed.”
“She’s not sick or anything, is she?”
“Nope. Just complaining about her feet aching.”
“I told her not to wear those heels out.”
I heard his light laugh from the hall outside the bedroom, and a smile was slow to form on my lips. My eyes drifted to the open doorway, practically holding my breath until the moment Nico stepped into the room. I let out a long sigh and took in his appearance. Old black joggers and a Swiss branded t-shirt. His hair was lazily parted down the middle and left to hang in such a way that I knew he had been relaxing before my friend called. Not to mention the house slippers he still wore.
“How much did you have?” Nico’s smile widened on his own lips as he approached the bed and sat on the edge beside me. His hand came to rest on my hip.
“Just enough.” The words slurred off my tongue.
“We should get you home.” Nico reached for my hand before I swiftly pulled it away to hold up my arms.
“Carry me?” His brow rose in surprise, but Nico stood from the bed and turned toward me to scoop my body into his arms nonetheless.
“Thanks for coming to get her, Nico.” He turned to look back at my friend in the doorway. I turned my head to rest against his chest, breathing in his scent.
“Always.” He responded. “Would you mind grabbing her heels for me?”
He didn’t make me carry a single thing on the way to the car. Nico held my purse and my shoes, and even my cardigan that I’d tossed aside early on in the party. He set me safely in the car and put my things in the back seat, and made sure to check on me as he drove home. I drifted in and out of consciousness, but I was completely awake by the time Nico carried me back into our apartment.
I heard two thuds, my heels being dropped by the front door, before he made a straight shot for our bedroom. He never made a single complaint when I asked him to carry me again.
“Thanks,” I drawled out as he set me down.
“For?” Nico walked toward the armchair in our room and set my purse down, as well as my cardigan.
“Picking me up.” I popped every ‘p’ in that sentence, earning a breathy chuckle from him. He wasn’t sure how coherent I was, and I didn’t blame him for pushing my limits on talking too much. Sometimes I could speak nonsense when drunk.
“Of course, love.”
“Nico, come back!” The words fell out in a whine, and I looked back at him just in time to catch his amused gaze. “Please.”
“Don’t you want a change of clothes?” He crossed the floor to return to my side as I shook my head.
“This one.” I reached out to grab ahold of the hem of his shirt. Nico laughed and shook his head.
“Pick another while I unzip your dress. Come on. Up.” He grabbed ahold of my hands and hoisted me up onto my feet. I spun around with the help of his guiding hands, but before Nico could get ahold of the zipper, I leaned back into his chest. Or perhaps stumbled.
“Baby,” Nico laughed quietly into my shoulder before he pressed a kiss there.
“Hold me.”
“You need to change.” He pushed me forward in a gentle manner to unzip my dress. He was careful not to catch the fabric or a stray string, and even more careful when he began to slide the sleeves of my dress, off of my body.
“Oh this is sexy.” I lacked a filter when I was drunk, and as a result, it usually made people laugh.
“Very sexy.” Nico agreed in a playful manner, simply to keep me happy and cooperating. Once he had the dress off my arms, the rest fell to the floor. He reached for one of my thighs and carefully guided my leg out from the dress, making sure my foot wasn’t stuck in any fabric. Then he repeated the process with the other foot. And of course, he spun me back around to look at him.
“Are you turned on, Nico?” I tried to lean against him again, only for his hands to grab my shoulders and hold me back.
“Absolutely,” he cooed sarcastically, and if I’d been sober, I would have known it was a joke. He reached behind my back to unclasp my bra, and I leaned into his chest when his arms were around me. Nico managed a quiet laugh before he slipped my bra off.
“Oh god, I’m not ready to have sex!”
“What?” Like a sleep talker, Nico learned it easiest to sometimes encourage my rambling and simply let me talk. Other times, he knew it best to ignore me.
“I haven’t- oh god, I should shower first.” When I tried to pull away, he rolled his eyes and carefully guided me to sit on the bed.
“We’re not doing that. Relax. What shirt do you want?”
“This one.” I insisted, pointing a finger at the one on his chest.
“This one?” He gestured to his own shirt, and I found myself growing quickly frustrated with his antics.
“My tits are hangin’ out Nic! Gimme the damn shirt!”
Nico pulled his shirt off in a fit of laughter, and I spared a long glance at his body. Far less controlled than he was, considering he always tried not to look at any exposed part of my body when I was drunk and he was helping me change. Ever the gentleman.
“Arms up.” I didn’t do so right away, but when I did get my arms in the air, Nico slipped his shirt over my body. He paid extra attention to the wrinkles, smoothing them out and smiling to himself when he had me semi-dressed for bed.
“Feels good?” He asked before he wandered off into the bathroom. I heard rustling before he returned with a makeup wipe.
“Perfect.” I responded, possibly louder than I needed to say it for him to hear me.
“Eyes closed.” When I did as told, Nico began to wipe away my makeup, gentle but thorough at the same time. I held onto his hips while I waited, and eventually I had to let him go when he tossed the cloth onto his nightstand and began removing my jewelry.
“Hands.” I held my hands up and Nico began to slip off my rings. I liked the idea of him being able to remove my wedding bands one day before bed. I’d let him do it a million times over just to feel him put the band back on my ring finger every morning.
“Not that one.” I pulled my hand away when he tried to pry the promise ring from my finger.
“You could lose it in bed.”
“I wanna keep it on tonight.” I whispered, clutching my hand to my chest. He gave in fairly easily, and turned his attention to my necklace. Then my bracelets.
Nico went around placing my jewelry away where it all went, and only returned when he was certain he was finished.
“Ready to lay down now?”
“I have to use the bathroom first.”
“Oh geez.” Nico sighed and helped me up once again. I leaned on his side as he walked me to the bathroom, but I did request privacy, and he was swift to provide it by stepping out and closing the door.
After a moment of silence, I called to him.
“Nico?”
“I’m still here.”
When I finished using the bathroom, I had moved to the sink to wash my hands, only to knock the soap off the counter.
“Shit.”
The door swung open in an instant, and Nico’s frantic eyes searched my body.
“Babe-“
“Are you okay?” I pursed my lips when he cut me off, eyeing him with a slow forming smile before I nodded. Nico let out a relieved sigh. “Had me worried.”
“Soap?” I gestured toward the bottle on the floor, and Nico was quick to sweep it up and set it on the counter again.
“Thank ya.” I patted his chest before going back to washing my hands. I could feel Nico’s eyes on me though, which I both loved and questioned at the same time.
“You’re sure you’re okay?” I nodded. “Promise?”
“I’m fine, Nico.”
“Let’s get you to bed.” Nico reached out to turn the faucet off well after the soap had been gone. I whined out in protest.
“My hands were warm.”
“You can warm them under a blanket.” He grabbed the hand towel hanging beside the sink and carefully dried my hands. Then he tossed the cloth aside and began to guide me back into the bedroom. My foot caught on the lip of the floor in the bathroom doorway, but Nico supported my weight before it even lurched forward.
“Oh Nico,” I spoke in the same tone as a disappointed mother, the tone in my voice one he recognized and laughed at.
“What?” He pulled the blankets on our bed back and slowly pushed me down to sit on the mattress.
“I think I drank too much.” I was disappointed in nobody other than myself. He leaned forward and hooked an arm beneath my legs to hoist them up onto the bed.
“I think you did too, Schatz.” His loose brown hair fell in his face as he leaned over me to grab the fluffy white blanket bunched up on his side of the bed. The one he used to hate sharing before we got together. Now Nico always handed it over when he thought I was cold. It was a gift from his mother, at least Jack had said that. I got situated and laid out on my side while Nico draped the blanket over me, then pulled our duvet on top of my body as well.
“Good?” He asked, though my eyes were already closed. I nodded nonetheless.
“A-okay, Nico.” I reached for his hand, opening my eyes in time to clasp his wrist. His brow rose in question. “Lay with me Hisch.” An unexpected giggle parted his lips.
“I’m going to.”
“Nope. Right now.”
“Can I get on my side?”
“The bed is not divided into sides, Nico.” The philosophical tone in my voice caused me to laugh softly.
“Huh?”
“My side is your side. Your side is my side. It’s our bed.” It didn’t make much sense, but Nico climbed into bed next to me nonetheless, crawling over my body to lay still on his side, but pressed into my side.
“Good?”
I turned my head to look at him, and swiftly reached out to move his hair, only to accidentally smack him in the face. We both began to softly laugh.
“Jesus, babe.” I rubbed his forehead while he spoke.
“Sorry, handsome.” I fixed his hair the second time around.
“The abuse I go through here…” he mumbled.
“Oh hush.” I pushed his cheek and rolled onto my side, nestling my back against his chest. Nico wrapped his arm around my torso. “Tell me about your day.” I whispered as I grabbed his hand and began to fiddle with his fingers.
“Oh boy.. where do I begin?”
“When you woke up with your sexy girlfriend.”
“That’s a good place to start.”
