afa;ldf;lakdflk;asdf urgh sorry i've been MIA i unexpectedly got super busy with the grant and my grand rounds and having to pick up shifts for people with emergencies/illnesses/moving PLUS my 'graduation' is tomorrow so i'm all over the place AHHHHH

AND fellowship number 2 starts in literally 12 days WHY DONT I HAVE MY SCHEDULE YET #i really REALLY wanted to finish the path to paradise by end of june but honestly i dont think that's happening #the most batshit thing i did on monday is cover for a shift at hospital A from 8am-6pm then cover a shift at hospital B from 8pm to 7am.#and they were both INSANELY busy #the first is just a consult shift so it wasn't too bad #but the second is my icu community shift and GOD #this person coded at 2am and i probably didn't leave her side until at least 5 am #its just INSANE. INSANE that i didn't get called before she coded #like i think the reason all my codes at this hospital get ROSC is because these people would NEVER have coded at the academic one #and this is FAR from the first time this has happened #you. you let this woman. sit on the floor. with BPs in the 70s. for HOW long? you left this OTHER woman completely obtunded on a bipap?!?!?#for DAYS?!?!??!?! WITHOUT TALKING TO THE ICU?! AND ONLY CALLED WHEN THEY GOT HYPOTENSIVE?!#this is horrifying. like legitimately. must be nice to practice shit medicine and when your patient crashes just wipe your hands and let #the icu doc deal with the fallout #i realize i signed up for this #but it always feels crappy when i can't tell families 'yeah no the reason your loved one is dying is probably because they were mismanaged'#and i'm gonna keep it real with you chief. its the racism too #hospital A is in the rich part of the city #hospital B is close to the border with mexico #less densely populated/less desirable areas hire less desirable doctors (all staff really)#its often like 30% people who care about the community #and 70% of people who can't get jobs elsewhere #and the economic disparity even between branches of the SAME HOSPITAL SYSTEM is staggering #healthcare in america is a fucking joke #also. like.#in rich person hospital A monday #got a consult for this guy who is a 'medical mystery'#seen at a bunch of different hospitals by a lot of different doctors #...and i'm 90% sure the way he got his lung disease is by crushing up pain and/or anxiety meds and injecting them #but see the reason no one suspects this. is because he's a wealthy white man

the nature of volfoss is they will make translating proper nouns actually the most hellish thing int eh world.

#twist rambles #like. theres one location that has about 5 diff translations. the machine translation has it as lily june or liliegen. then i get the #physical map. ok. its lelie june. thats fine. and its the same when its shown in the in game map when ur travelling. and THEN i get a title #card in game. which happens w locations often. and it shows up as lelie jene. i nearly started crying. and there was one more machine #translation one but i also like. did not remember bc i recognize the kanji now. which is a plus to all this i think. but it is so infinitel #frustrating. i didnt have all the resources i did when i started it and shalvas' name translated to charbas/charbus OFTEN. so in my brain #that is his name. it is not. the only name i havent had issues w is uchidas and thats bc its like. actually japanese and not the scariest #spelling that they can inflict on man. some of the other things that are definitely SOMETHING translation wise is that like. a lot of the #official english on the map is misspelled. and im staying accurate to the map. so theres typos. not even to get into characters that im lik #sure appear once. and thats it. and i NEVER know what their name is. bc its not important enought o be in the gallery. rip to whatever the #official spelling of riggin/rigging is. i will never know.#♟#the amt of time chris has had to wake up to me having the WORST time bc the translation stuff is so inconsistent w proper nouns. the MANY #creature names spelled weird. iron meiden and like. 5 million others. the amt of times i have (sic) in my doc by their names is far too man #sorry i love to complain. it IS a labor of love. but i am also so like. worried abt some of the names. can you imagine having to write a #serious paragraph when a guys name is ax fart. because thats one of the guys names.

Even INI noticed that Takumi and Yudai's hug scene was a little bit "🤨🏳️‍🌈?" and to be honest i'm glad I'm not the only one...

#👁️👄👁️#Yes two men can hug without it being romantic! It can be platonic! Don't get me wrong!#But the scene itself had romantic connotation because of their facial expressions. They seemed like lovers desperate to love but can't #Also the first time I saw it I thought they were trying to reach for the key #But they got rid of the chains when they touched hands (kind of “love saves the day” type of thing)#Their love (romantic or platonic) saved them from the chains that imprisoned them - not the key! :3 #I'm not saying Yudai and Takumi have a thing - just that they seemed like they wanted to portray a same-sex couple #Both of them can act remember? Takumi is literally in a drama and Yudai was great playing that sassy princess!#Also... I have to say it 👀#Some small details in the MV seem to talk about LGBTQ+ rights and Pride Parade...#Again!!! I'm not saying it IS about queerness!!!#But the whole story of the MV being about riots... Hiromu's line “fighting against prejudice”#Rihito (a guy who openly supports LGBTQ+ rights) holding a big flag like it is a pride flag...#Their performance at Studio Choom literally making up the asexual flag at the screen and Takumi showing off a black ring in the middle #Finger of his right hand... (a.k.a asexual ring)#The line “PRIDE” itself... (Pride of what I wonder? Hmmm...) Their hair colors making up a rainbow... Anyone??)#And last but not least it was released in JUNE (a.k.a Pride Month)!#Listen. I DO think the MV is connected to INI's MVs' storyline. Specially with SPECTRA and We Are and Password.#But... Open your mind a little bit.#The boys (specially Hiroto who wrote the song) also want to express themselves their opinions and their feelings.#My boy Nishi LOVES doing that in the songs he writes.
