I have a confession to make

I’ve been starting to love Snack (Snape x Sirius) more than Snupin. I’ve been feeling this way for around two months ever since I read my favourite Snack fic, and I genuinely cannot get them out of my head. I’ve always loved Snack, Severus and Sirius are some of the best HP characters (in terms of how well-written and interesting they are) in my opinion, but I’ve always loved Snupin. It’s been my number 1 favourite HP ship for years, and no other ship has ever rivalled it, until now.

I feel like this post is going to come off as random and not a big deal at all, but it really is to me. 😭 I feel like I’m betraying Remus with my love for Severus and Sirius together, especially since the fanfic I read portrayed Remus in a realistic but somewhat unlikeable light, which genuinely gave me an entirely different perspective on the Marauders’ friendship and Snape’s relationship with each of them. I think this fic shocked me so much because, in Snupin fics I’m used to the authors bashing Sirius for the prank and for the way he treated Remus and Severus, and Remus ditches Sirius and James and goes to be with Severus. Therefore, in Snack fics I was always used to the authors treating Remus well (because if Snape can forgive Sirius, he can definitely forgive Remus), however in this fanfic, the way Remus was treated was pretty blindsiding and is honestly an interesting way to look at things. He wasn’t mentioned much, yet he still managed to leave a presence in my mind.

Not only that, but the fanfic made me love Sirius as a person so much more, my heart ached for him throughout the fic and his extremely complicated relationship with his family hits too close to home. And it made me realise just how much potential Sirius and Severus had, that fanfic explored said potential perfectly and nailed both of their characters. They truly would’ve made an amazing couple, or at least a hilarious duo, in another universe.

Anyway, that’s just how I’ve been feeling for the past few weeks, now I literally cannot go a day without my brain being flooded by thoughts and scenarios of Snape and Sirius. I actually cannot get enough of them now, if any of you have fanfic recommendations PLEASE tell me. I am not okay.

thus, he doesn't just let snape leave after the prank, no. it's eating him up inside. he HAS to apologise, he has to make it clear that this incident is not representative of him OR the rhetoric surrounding lycanthropy - he refuses to be another statistic used against himself, so he apologises.

again and again and again he apologises and doesn't give up. snape is reluctant to accept it BUT he can see that remus is entirely cut off from the marauders so hey, if remus wants to sit at his table in the library and work quietly? what's the harm? they both can't draw any more attention to the incident so snape just lets it be.

BOOM: snupin. snape and remus slowly getting closer and closer and bonding over how much they hate sirius in this moment, remus getting to see a version of snape he doesn't normally get to see, snape realising remus isn't a cruel person and is nothing to be scared of (he literally has ink stains on his hand and grins when he understand the work, he's harmless,,,, except that one time ig but that's not his fault 🙂↕️) AND !! lily: lily being the only person remus still really speaks to, talking to lily about snape and them three becoming a lil study trio!?

As an older hp fan who hasn't been in the fandom for a while, it's so cool to see someone writing thoughtful fic still! I love tpotp! It always makes my week!

I've read a ton of old snupin fic but nothing recent. Do you have any recs for long snupin fic (wip is okay) that was published in the last year or so? I trust your taste and think your fic is proof that new content can shine just as bright as the classics!

Unfortunately, I don't really have any recent long Snupin recs (although I'll definitely add on to this post, if I find something good.)

Snape/Lupin... it's kinda a retro ship, and the fic I was looking for didn't seem to exist, and so now we have Prison of the Phoenix and I'm honestly glad other people like it too. One of the early comments was "Checking for Snupin updates like it’s 2005," and like, fair. Sirius/Lupin is SO ubiquitous, and has been for so long, it kind of is *the* Harry Potter ship, and Snape has had such a weird and interesting journey as a character in terms of canon, fanon, and canon ret-cons.

One of the reasons I wanted to do this project is that my co-writer @niche-pastiche and I had very different opinions on Snape, back in the day. They were kinda a snape girlie and I very much was not, so it was really interesting to unpack those old responses, reconcile them, and come up with something that's hopefully interesting. I love that you used the word "thoughtful" - that's exactly what I'm going for.

I read a lot of Wolfstar back in the day, and I *was* a Sirius fan (unlike Niche.) So he's been another interesting aspect here. He keeps showing up, and definitely not as any kind of straightforward /villain/ mostly because I think it can be kind of boring and reductive when fics treat exes that way. This project absolutely made the Severus appeal click for me, and it made the Sirius appeal click for Niche.

A lot of the popular recent stuff with these characters is also Marauders Era, and for this one at least, the fun is engaging with and putting a different (critical) lens on the books-as-is. And you don't get as much Marauders Snupin, although do I think it would be fun. My pitch for a long Snupin Marauders era fic would probably be... Severus invents the Wolfsbane potion early. Like maybe he spent sixth year just feverishly working on it as a trauma response. And then you go into how that would shift the existing dynamic in year seven, when Severus is still Severus, but now he has this skill that Sirius, James, and Remus REALLY value.

It seems his boyfriend knows that all too well because he starts kneading another spot in Remus’ lower back that is particularly painful. 

“Are you even taking the potions I gave you?” Severus sighs when Remus cries out in pain. 

“They taste vile,” Remus mutters, feeling scolded like a little child when Servus squeezes his hips harshly. 

“You need those, Remus,” he sighs disappointed. 

Remus is not in the mood to argue and just wraps his hands around the other’s neck, bringing him closer to him while grinding his arse backwards against the already half-hard cock of his partner. “I don’t, I only need you.”

My (pretty bad) Haruna Fanfiction

Well, here it is. A Harry Potterx Luna Lovegood fanfiction.

I used to be a huge Harry and Luna shipper. I still am but I wouldnt have wrote a whole Fanfiction for them I guess. Also in my last Post I said some (all) actions are OOC and some (many) good characters were turned bad. Well here is the First one and it has everything.

Characters: Harry and Luna ofc. Then we have Ron, Hermione, Neville, Fred and George being all supportive and Happy for Harry and Luna. And then there is Ginny... oh Ginny. I am so sorry How this Fanfiction treats you.

I am gonna say this as best as I can: Ginny is a Villain in this. I should have used Cho Chang or Romilda Vane now as a jealous Ex but I was dumb and was like: Yeah, Ginny can totally do that. Thats a great idea.

I also had a Snupin Phase (sadly they never got their fanfiction because that Ship came after) so Snape and Lupin are a thing in this and everyone is wondering why Snape is so nice all of a sudden. But that has nothing to do with the fanfiction and was just a funny fact.

Well, Harry and Luna do the typical Friends to loves tropes but I might have made a mistake and let Harry Cheat on Ginny (dont worry they never kissed while he was dating her). Hey, 10 year old me had no idea emotional cheating was a thing, okay. Funny enough, Ron even called out Harry on this with the words: "You have my sister, what more do you need ?" Enjoy nice Ron. He wont be like this in every fanfiction.

Fred and George are just they because they are my favorites and couldnt be missed in any FF.

Weirdly enough Hermione is like; Go for it to Harry about Luna because "Love eins it all". Even though Harry is dating her best girl-friend. Okay ???

Neville is just there to look Pretty I guess.

Then after Harry eventually broke up with Ginny he and Luna have their first kiss in the Three Broomsticks and Ginny is just there too, watching them and is creepy.

But as I said there is a lot of Kidnapping. And as you probably guess Ginny kidnapped Luna to have Harry for herself....Yeah. Dont get me wrong I dont dislike the concept. I just hated that I used GINNY for it. But Hey ofc Harry saves Luna, Ginny doesnt get punished and everyone is just completly chill and there is a happy Ending.

Hello! Do you have any Snulciber hc? Or what is your take on Snulciber? I mean apart from the fact that they are canon, we are working mainly on our own interpretation of how they relationship would be lol

OKAY i've been meaning to make a whole thread on this but better do it here than anywhere else.

So we have the quote "He wanted Lily and he wanted Mulciber too".

like just looking at that kinda sums up their entire relationship, because severus puts both lily and mulciber in the same sentence, and he wants them both in equal measure, meaning he loves them both just as much as he loves the other.

like think about it.

he canonically loves mulciber the same way he loves lily.

like honestly that just sets my brain off in tingles and i wish they had the same hype as snupin does honestly

Now you've been talking in your sleep oh oh Things you never say to me oh oh

“Mind if I join you?”

Remus looked up to find Severus staring at him, with a cigarette in his mouth.

“You know, you and your sister should really stop smoking” he said, sighing. He then moved aside a little so Severus could join him. When he did, Remus grabbed the cigarette out of his hand and took a drag.

“I thought you said we should stop smoking” he asked with an arched eyebrow.

“Yeah, you should” he laughed, making Severus smile a little. “So, to what do I owe the pleasure of your company? I’m not sure your friends would like it if they see you talking to me. Should you even be talking to me? I’m a half-blood, remember?”

“I’m a half-blood as well, you idiot” he said, punching his arm and taking the cigarette back. “I needed a break” he simply said.

“Oh, is that what I am?” he smirked.

“Yes” Severus smiled back at him.

“Are you okay?” Remus said, closing his book and turning to face him.

“Yeah” he said, shrugging his shoulders and finishing his cigarette.

“Sev” Remus said in a tone that he knew too well. Remus knew you were right about one thing. If anyone could get through to Severus, it was him. And Severus knew that as well.

“I… am having trouble sleeping” he admitted, looking down at his hands. He knew he couldn’t hide it from Remus much longer.

“Since when?” Remus sighed, putting his book aside.

“It started over the summer” he said.

“Always does” Remus muttered sadly.

“I didn’t want to fall asleep and let my guard down” he muttered. “I couldn’t let him hurt us” he said.

“Did he… hurt you?” Remus asked, knowing the answer.

“Um… the usual” he admitted. “I just got too anxious and I just… didn’t feel safe enough to go to sleep, you know? And then, I thought I finally would when we got here but…” he sighed.

“Still no luck?” Remus asked worriedly. He could see the dark circles under his eyes and it broke his heart.

“I don’t know why. I just get really anxious when I go to bed and I’m exhausted but… I still can’t seem to fall asleep” he admitted.

“Why didn’t you write to me?” Remus asked all of the sudden. Not only in particular about the subject but almost at all. “You two could have stayed with me for a few weeks” he reminded him.

“I thought you were at Potter’s all summer” Severus said, letting out the last smoke of his cigarette before he tossed it out.

“Not all summer” Remus defended himself. “And if you would have written that you needed me to come home, I would have” he informed him. “You would know that if you would have written at all” he muttered.

“I wrote” Severus defended himself.

“Writing at the end of your sister’s letters doesn’t count” Remus chuckled.

“Well, you could have written to me” he argued.

“I did” Remus reminded him.

“Once!” Severus argued.

“Well, did I get a reply?”

“I…” Severus started but he closed his mouth after nothing came out. “I’m sorry” he sighed. “I didn’t want to… ruin your summer” he muttered.

“You could never ruin it” Remus said, making him look up at him. “You know I worry about you either way” he told him, making him smile a little. “B-both of you” he added.

“I worry about you too” he replied. “We both do” he added, making Remus chuckle. “Oh, I have something for you” he said, grabbing his bag and looking through it before he took out a small phial and handed it to him.

“What’s this?” Remus asked, taking it.

“The Wolfsbane Potion” Severus said casually as he rested his head on Remus’ shoulder.

“The Wolf- The Wolfsbane Potion?” Remus asked, making Severus nod, with his eyes still closed. “Severus!” he said, pushing him off. “When did you do this?”

“Summer” he said as if it was nothing.

“Sev, this is one of the most complex potions to brew, how did you- uh, why did you-?”

“I thought it… might help” he said, looking away. “I wasn’t sleeping either way so, I might as well put my time to good use” he smiled shyly.

“I can’t believe you did this for me” Remus said, feeling his heart flutter. Severus felt the same when he saw the brightness in his green eyes. “Thank you” he said, smiling up at him.

“No problem, Rem” he said. It was rare when he would call him that and Remus loved it a bit too much.

“It’s… been a while since you called me that” he said, feeling his cheeks burning a little.

“Is… it okay?”

“Of course it is, Sev” he said, smiling at him. “Your sister told me you got a couple of books that belonged to your mum” he said, making Severus smile. “Anything good?”

“Yes! I forgot to show you” he said excitedly, taking a couple of books from his bag and handing them to Remus. “We were able to keep some of them” he said, smiling.

“Oh, Merlin, I love this book!” Remus said, picking one of them.

“I don’t think I’ve read that one” Severus admitted.

“Oh, you’ll love it” Remus said, opening the book as he felt Severus rest his head on his shoulder. “It’s a psychological thriller, so it’s your favorite genre already. And it’s about two strangers that, well, meet on a train” he chuckled. “Anyways, they tell each other the problem they have and one of them suggests that they should ‘exchange murders’ and then-”

Remus turned around to find Severus soundly asleep on his shoulder. He smiled widely at how peaceful he looked. He didn’t have the heart to even move, not wanting to wake him up. He needed sleep. You were right. He was exhausted and was about to have a breakdown at any moment. It wasn’t fair. What the two of you went through wasn’t fair. And Remus knew that Severus tried his best to carry that weight for both of you, no matter how hard you tried to help, he still took it upon himself to protect you as much as he could. He deserved to be able to sleep. He deserved to be taken care of the way he had just taken care of Remus by brewing the Wolfsbane potion. So he vowed to himself that he would do whatever it took to protect Severus Snape.

You woke up early on a Saturday when it was still dark outside. You were used to it. Like your brother, you had trouble sleeping sometimes. But today, you were up early because it was the day after the full moon. You had initially told Madame Pomfrey that you were interested in becoming a Healer just so she would let you help Remus on those days. But, over the years, you had actually started to like it and you were considering becoming a Healer after school. You were on your way to the Hospital Wing when something caught your eye. Well, someone. You walked over to the cries near you and muttered ‘Lumos’ gasping when you saw who was lying on the ground, blood all over him.

“Black?”

Sirius slowly lifted his head and smirked at you when his grey eyes met yours. “Hey, love-”

“What the bloody hell happened to you?” you asked, kneeling down in front of him.

“Oh, this? Is nothing” he tried to chuckle but coughed instead. “You should see the other guy-”

“Black!” you said, placing your hand on his chin and getting closer to take a better look.

“I’m fine-”

“You are not fine! I am taking you to the Hospital Wing-”

“No! You can’t” he blurted out. It had been a rough full moon. Sirius might have taken the worst of it but he knew Remus was there and he was certain that he, James, and Peter were the only ones that knew about his ‘furry little problem’. “Uh- I mean… I’m fine” he said, trying to get up but failing.

“Yeah, clearly” you said, rolling your eyes as Sirius fell back down and let out a cry in pain. “Would you please let me help you?”

“Fine” he sighed. “I mean if you insist” he said as you knelt back down, rolling your eyes once more.

“Yes, please do me the favor” you said, grabbing his arm and placing it around your shoulders as you wrapped yours around his waist, instantly feeling blood on your hand. You slowly helped him up and started making your way to the nearest bathroom.

“Why are you even awake?”

“Why are you?”

“Fair enough” he muttered. Once you reached the bathroom, you led him to the sink and went to grab some towels.

“Take off your shirt” you instructed.

“Oh come on, Snape. If all you wanted was to take my clothes off, you could have just said so” he winked at you as he started unbuttoning his shirt.

“Shut up, Black!”

You glared at him as much as you could but you still cursed yourself when you felt the heat on your cheeks. Sirius was a very attractive man, you had always known that. Despite your hatred towards him, you weren’t blind. And he was definitely one of the most handsome guys in school.

“Like what you see, love?” he smirked, making you snap out of your thoughts. Dammit, I was staring. Get it together!

“You mean that big cut you have on your left side?” you asked, grabbing what you needed and turning to face him.

“Whatever you say, Snape” he kept on smirking. “So, what are you doing up so late?”

“It’s four in the morning” you reminded him.

“Fine, so early in the morning on a Saturday” he said, rolling his eyes.

“I um… couldn’t sleep” you simply said. Sirius arched his eyebrow at you but you did your best to ignore it. “You?”

“Out for a walk” he said, casually and then he heard you gasp softly. “What?”

“N-nothing” you said, clearing your throat, but you couldn’t take your eyes off them.

Scars. Underneath his recent bruises and cuts, you could definitely see them. They were in his arms and torso, and through the mirror, you noticed the ones on his back. You know what they were. You had cleaned them off Severus a million times.

“You done staring?” he asked, snapping you out of your thoughts once more.

“Sorry” you murmured before you finished patching up his wound and he quickly put his shirt back on. You noticed how he tensed up and his behavior shifted. Sirius cursed himself, looking away. He had hoped that since it was still dark, you wouldn’t be able to see them. But of course, you would. And he hated that you did. He hated that you knew what those were because you probably had them too. “Let me look at your arm” you snapped him out of his thoughts and he hesitantly put out his right arm. “This is a really deep cut, Black. How did you get it?”

“I tripped” he said, shrugging his shoulders. You looked at him with an arched eyebrow. “Look, I don’t appreciate all of these questions. You offered to help, so either help me or go” he said defiantly. You glared at him and rolled your eyes.

“Fine, I’ll go” you said, turning around and you were about to leave but Sirius grabbed your wrist and stopped you.

“Okay, but before you go... could you please help me?” he pouted. You could see he was in a lot of pain and you felt a tug in your heart at the sound of his voice. So you sighed and nodded.

“Fine” you said, pulling out your wand and placing it over Sirius’ forearm and looked him in the eyes. “This is going to sting” you warned him.

“I can take it, love. I’ve taken Bludgers to the- FOR FUCK’S SAKE, SNAPE!” he cried, trying to remove his wrist from your grasp but you pulled him back. “Are you trying to fucking kill me?!”

“Quit whining. I’m almost done” you said, finishing the spell as Sirius felt the burning sensation slowly die.

“What the bloody hell was that?” he asked, holding his arm with his other hand.

“Your cut is gone” you informed him and he turned to look at his arm where the cut had disappeared. “You’re welcome” you smirked at him.

“You’re welcome? You almost burned off my arm-!”

“Don’t be so dramatic, Black. I’ve had deeper cuts than tha-” you stopped mid-sentence.

“How?” he asked with a hint of anger in his voice.

“I’m a very clumsy person” you stated quickly before you grabbed a washcloth and soaked it in warm water. You nervously stood in front of Sirius, a little closer, and tried to ignore how fast your heart was beating. “Y-you have a few cuts on your face” you said, feeling your cheeks burning.

“You’re not touching that. I won’t let you do to my face what you just did to my arm! My face is my favorite part of me-”

“Don’t be such a baby, Black. I’m not using my wand, am I?” you said, showing him the washcloth.

“I don’t care! It’s going to sting” he complained.

“Just stay still!” you complained as you grabbed his chin with your hand and placed the cloth underneath his left eye.

“It fucking hurts, love!”

“Don’t call me love and it wouldn’t hurt as much if you stopped moving!” you told him.

“Fine!” he sighed, giving up but kept on pouting as you kept on cleaning his bruised and bloody face.

“So” you cleared your throat after a moment of silence. “Are you going to tell me what happened to you or…?”

“Nothing” he mumbled. “Like I said, I just… tripped-”

“In the Forbidden Forest?” you asked, sarcastically and he rolled his eyes.

“It’s not important” he said, looking away.

“Fine, you don’t have to tell me” you gave up as he flinched away from a small cut you tried to fix on his forehead. “Sorry” you said, feeling an ache in your heart.

“It’s fine, love” he said, softly. This time, you didn’t mind the pet name. “Why are you being so nice to me?” he asked, making you look him in the eyes.

“Didn’t I ask you that a couple of weeks ago?” you asked and he let out a soft chuckle.

“Well… yes, but I said I was being nice to you because I wanted to apologize to you” he said.

“Well, I’ve always been nice to you, Black” you said, as you continued to fix his wounds.

“No, you haven’t. You’re always yelling at me for being stupid-”

“That’s because you always say stupid things to me or play stupid pranks on me” you informed him.

“Oh…” he said, feeling his cheeks burning a little. You were right. Most of your interactions were because he started teasing you in some way. He realized you always even tried to just stay out of his way. “Right… I’m sorry” he muttered.

“It’s fine” you shrugged it off. “You’re not being stupid now” you said, making him look up at you. “I mean, I assume since you still won’t tell me how you got hurt” you added, making a small smile appear on his face. “But… you really haven’t been since…” you sighed. “Since I fell on the lake” you muttered quietly, but he heard you and he noticed you were still looking at some of his old scars in his arms. “Do you… trip in the Forbidden Forest a lot?”

“Do you fall into the Great Lake a lot?” he replied and you glared a little at him.

“Fair enough” you mumbled.

“Sorry” he said, softly. “I shouldn’t have said that.”

“It’s fine” you said, returning to fix his cheek. “I’m done” you smiled wearily at him.

“Thank you for helping me” he said.

“Um, y-you’re welcome” you said, feeling nervous all of the sudden.

“I’ve got to admit, you’re pretty good at patching up wounds, love” he said, smirking, returning to his old self.

“Um… thanks” you smiled, as you put your stuff away. “I’ve… had some practice” you said, making Sirius widen his eyes at you. “I help Madam Pomfrey sometimes” you explained. “I would… like to become a healer one day” you said, feeling your cheeks burn a little.

“Oh” he let out a sigh of relief. “Well, if you’d like to practice, I’m always happy to help” he laughed, winking at you.

“I’d rather you not hurt yourself doing stupid things with Potter and Pettigrew” you laughed a little as well. “But… if you do um, need it, I’d be happy to help you” you told him.

“I’ll keep that in mind” he said, smirk still in place.

“Get some rest” you advised him. “You should feel better when you wake up” you assured him.

“Noted” he said, as you walked towards the door. “Hey um” he said, making you look back at him. “Thanks again, Snape” he said. “I mean it.”

“Don’t mention it, Black” you said, before walking out of the bathroom.

okay it's not unpopular! i'm cheating a bit sorry but REMADORA !!! oh my god they're all i think about atm.

"lavendar marri-" NO 😖😖 they are so in love so in love so in love. and like yes the cop/werewolf dynamic is offputting but tonks? like yes shes on the auror squad but she's clearly misaligned with them when she joins the order, she's clearly rebellious and anti-ministry to be offered that position. and yesss there's an age gap but IF I HEAR if i hear once more "he held her as a bab-" NO HE DIDNT 😖 they meet as consenting adults. whether you like age gaps or not is fineee but let's not make it perverse. and then they discuss it !!! so much !!! it's not swept under the rug they talk about it so much. and i could ramble on forever but i just. i just love them. i love them sm.

more unpopular, i really love sirius/kingsley atm.

i'm really into the idea of kingsley being assigned to sirius and checking on him in grimmauld place. (remadora are here too btw). and they get closer and closer and kingsley breaks away the last of sirius' shell, he's the one to sober him up when remus is too forgiving, he's the one to tell sirius to get it the fuck together, he's the one to gently but firmly all at once keep sirius together.

Kinky Snupin sex, you say?

Is there any other kind? lol.

I thought I had more recs but the only one I seem to have bookmarked is Five Time Lupin and Snape Should Not Have Had Sex At Order Headquarters (But Couldn't Help It) by Snegurochka. Seriously - it's got everything. Humour, angst, kink, and even has surprisingly sweet ending.

My #1 post of 2022

I just need a scene at the Battle of Hogwarts where Snape reveals his loyalties by breaking his cover to save someone's life. Then I need an epically clichéd fight scene where he takes on like ten Death Eaters and wins easily. Oh and I need it set to a soundtrack - preferably a classic pop rock song completely incongruous to a fight scene but someone works incredibly well.
