I like how different my art can be when I actually want to put in a few hours, or use the resources I have [such as 3d models or references in general] cause I'll just be looking back at it, and suddenly be reminded that- OH RIGHT, These are all within about a four month period, aren't they?
Cause like, Look at these little blorbos!
Adorable little circles with simple shapes! Easy for my brain to read and using colors that I have decided belong to them!
but then I can, say, use a past picture as a reference to redraw it?
And suddenly! It's a scene with a detailed background, three characters, lighting - It's still a bit messy and scratchy, but it's more than the first, right?

Use 3d models for more human details, focus on lighting, having the character be a main subject, and whatever
I dunno, I just find art neat. Like yeah, I can make some blorbos and ducks for you! Give me some extra time, I'll make some lego things because I hyperfixated once and now I can't lose them! Hell, give me a pose ya like, I'll shove it into clip studio to figure some stuff out and bam, here ya go!
Maybe these aren't the best representations due to their differences, but that's exactly why I wanted to use them as well. They're different and I love them, I dunno, It's late

#byler#will byers#stranger things#every season besides s4-5 opens with non main characters#for el we got a flashback of the lab followed by her perspective in the scene directly after#and I think for Will we will see something similar#with us getting the flashback of him in castle byers in the UD#followed by him in the present in the scene after#but what exactly would warrant that memory being brought up in association with Will in the present?#mayhaps his connection to the mindflayer and the UD run deeper than we realize…#it’s likely not something he could just rid himself of in s2 and now he’s all good#he literally still feels a connection to everything he is feeling#that means he is still technically at risk of being the spy in some capacity#the massacre at Hawkins lab also was a guiding force for El discovering the ‘truth’ in s4#so it’s likely for Will this instance will operate in a way that re-contextualizes the events in the past up to now#like that time Will suggested they go to the hospital in s3 only for the flayed to be waiting for them#or how flayed Billy knew they were at the cabin…#all while Will was looking cryptic as hell in that scene watching over el#or the fact that he picked Billy in the first place the season after he focused on Will…#you know.. williams#I think the easiest way to introduce the castle Byers flashback is a dream honestly#specifically a dream within a dream#seeing that recent leak and Will looking like either he has a black or hasn’t slept in days#is giving very much ‘I am afraid to sleep bc I’m scared of what will happen’#I think dude is not exactly possessed in the sense that we already saw in s2 with like the particicles#but he’s still vulnerable#the door is still ajar…#no but fr this idea of opening a door in your mind was so blatant in st2 AND s3b of teen wolf#I think a big part of it will be guilting Will over the fact that Will has helped him before without Will telling the others#hence his weird vibe in s3… like he’s already successfully fucked with Will post s2 potentially with us being none the wiser aka here we go

love/hate being so invested in my da canon. this shit is so dumb I have to cry
#I keep thinking about the fact that this might be the first group of companions that really stay in contact regularly after saving the world#and i keep thinking about loua making sure to use her connection w solas to keep checking in on him and rome#and essentially delivering their mail#and then like loua kind of traveling all over thedas using the eluvians#to help as much as possible#and dorian giving her and neve a magisterium seat and her desperately learning to lead in that way#and then her traveling to kirkwall and meeting hawke#and isabela would go with her to soothe like the awkwardness of it all#and talking to Allison about varric and rome and everything that happened#and allison who ended up so close to the inquisitor bc they bonded as people forced into these devastating situations#is like ‘i know the road you’re walking is difficult. but I cannot be any sort of friend/guide to you as you navigate this’#bc hoo BOY she takes it bad that varric and rome are gone#and loua is like trying not to cry even though that’s not quite what she wanted but she’s like ‘got it. Noted’#(bc secretly she does feel like she needs someone to walk her through what it means to be a hero to the world’#and she def didn’t realize that allison would see that and just SAY no to her)#and down the line she works w like#leliana and josephine and she meets sten#bc I crave the overlap of the world I crave the cr campaign 3-ification of these stories where they all must meet#and in different capacities she works w her own team and the established teams that exist to fix problems all over thedas#and eventually she goes to briala and somehow organically it comes up that she saw solas’ memories and felassan has been this presence#that’s looked over all they’ve done#loomed******#and briala is like ‘……. hm?’#anyways rook goes from a scrappy wet dog to one of the worlds most impactful heroes#and i love that#c: loua mercar

the next crochet project in my queue may not be safe to take to church. because it may make me cry.
#it looks kind of straightforward except I want to modify it snsfa;kgha;#it starts with a “ribbon” waistband that's meant to be tied at the back#you attach the body to that#halfway up the body you pause and work up sleeves from the wrists upward#attach to the body and then complete everything#it's a wrap-style body so it should be forgiving in the sizing too#it's actually quite similar to the wrap I made Fay last year only it has sleeves and the body is worked up in one part instead of three#HOWEVER#1) I hate tops that tie in the back#2) it's very short (it sits at the natural waist) and I like longer tops (and also the pattern writer is NOT built like me. at all.)#3) the base is simple double crochet and it looks super bland if you don't have a fuzzy yarn (I don't)#what I'm wondering is whether I can use the pattern as a guide and work it up in Tunisian crochet#and actually attach the front pieces to the sides to make it a pull-over top#while also lengthening it a bit without it looking weird (that part should be easy)#all of this is moot at the moment because I haven't finished my current project#crochet#mine

monster rancher isn't a very interesting game to play, moment-to-moment. it's very repetitive. progress can take a lot of time unless you're following very strict guides, especially in the older games. but it offsets this by showing you a lot of freaks and funny guys. and some legitimately cute or cool monsters, too, i guess.
#i kinda prefer the DS game even though it's not very popular#2 is very nostalgic but also kind of annoying in some ways#i'm grateful for the fast forward mode in DX#it makes the pace of the game closer to the DS version#aka tolerable#i don't like following guides and spoiling everything for myself in these games#so having less information available to me in-game is a pain#i remember some stuff from the first time i played#but i've had to look some other things up just out of necessity#these games are currently keeping me occupied during a bad fatigue flareup#good to have something i can do while stuck in bed

i remember when i was a little kid, probably 6 or 7, my dad used to play this computer game that absolutely enthralled me with its graphics. i was obsessed with the little monsters and knights and the movement, everything about it. i finally figured out that game was heroes of might & magic iii, got it for $2.50 on galaxy of games, and am proud to announce i am absolutely shit tier dog ass at it.
#he let me play it sometimes sitting on his lap and i was probably about the same skill level then as now#i keep getting demoooooolished in every fight. even if i stock up on troops.#all the strategy guides are like GOOOO hire a bunch of a heroes grab all the resources straight away#well i can grab like. four resources. and then all my paths are blocked by fights i can't win#and i can't make more troops bc all the resources are gone. so whadda hell bulnasaur#but i WILL keep trying til i figure it out. i still love everything about how this game looks. it is peak to me#witness me

Trying to find CR level 1 monsters I can reskin to fit my campaign's theme is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
Can a 3 person level 1 party take on a CR 2 or 3 monster? Would that be the equivalent of a boss fight?
Time will tell.

Trying to watch 999 let’s plays is such hell to me - NO ONE PLAYS THE GAME RIGHT just shutupshutupshutupshutup and play the game!! Stop trying to make jokes!!!!
I’m too autistic for this, I cannot bear hearing let’s players doing their own voice acting when I adore the game’s VAs too much. Everyone always fucks up Santa’s and Lotus’s voices especially.
I understand the draw of Let’s Plays are largely the people playing them who have gained their own following, but as someone who just loves the game I don’t wanna hear ur stupid banter 💥💥💥 play the game and be intrigued but not TOO intrigued because give it a fuckin minute it’ll explain what’s going on 🙄‼️

Hot take: Totk's story would've been 1000% better if the zonai were introduced more slowly
#the zonai were a complete mystery in botw#then within the first five minutes of totk its all ''OH LOOK IT'S THE ZONAI EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THE ZONAI RIGHT''#like it would've been so much better if link woke up with his funky new arm and only the constructs were there to guide him#and the zonai charges were called construct charges as well so you had zero idea about the zonai (ppl might guess early on but it wouldn't-#be confirmed they were zonai tech)#as you progress through the story you learn more and more about the zonai and who they were#until about halfway or three quarters through the story a main quest leads you to the zonai ruins in faron where you meet rauru's ghost#and he explains about link's new arm being his etc#idk i feel like it would've preserved the mystery of the zonai and made me more engaged in the story#it would've been fun to theorise about the zonai as i went through the game rather than being told everything immediately#totk is a fantastic game but the story definitely could've been better (especially the continuity between botw and totk)#not trying to hate on totk its just that looking back on it the introduction to the zonai was very sudden#totk#totk spoilers

I decided to actually try and beat Bloodborne. I started to farm a little so I could up level a couple of times, so I could explore more without getting too frustrated. Then I wanted to level up a couple of more times just for the sake of it. Then I needed to repair my weapon, so back to farming. Then I wanted to get better at the combat, so I practised and of course, automatically farmed while doing so. Then I wanted to upgrade my weapon. I needed blood stone shards. Okay time to go hunt them down, took me a while, so I got a lot of blood echoes while doing so. Then I wanted to get better at parrying. So I practised. A lot. And of course, I farmed while doing so. Then I just didn't want to go to Cleric Beast for a while because I didn't want to lose. So I leveled a couple of times more. Then I wanted to open all the shortcuts, so I leveled more to be able to get to them easily. Of course, while farming more echoes by doing so. Then I wanted to upgrade my weapon again. Back to hunting and farming for the shards. Then I got pretty good at the combat so I figured hey, why not go around the first area just a few more times to get a couple of more levels. Yeah. Okay, today I will try to beat the Cleric Beast, what does the guide say about what level should I be for it? Oh, I should be level 10-15 in the first area? Oh. I'm level 31. Well.
*beats Cleric Beast in a minute and Father Gascoigne on a third try which also took just a couple of minutes*
I may have been just a little bit overleveled.
#not that I mind I WANT to be able to just absolutely decimate everything on my path#because I hate losing#playing bloodborne more tho has made me better at being more aggressive in games asjsk#now I do have to take a break and look up a few guides and such because the cathedral ward scares me#it's dark and it has stickmen and giants with tophats and wrecking balls#personal
