Tried doing a little fanart again of Alcina but added a large sprinkle of dreamcore to it. I just wanted to know what dreamcore would look like with Alcina tbh

She just basically went to sleep and woke up in a flower meadow and can't find a way out so she follow's the butterflies because once she looked at one, all the butterflies flew in the same direction. When she saw where they went, it was next too and on top of a door in the middle of nowhere and when she opened the door, of course all the butterflies flew away but the door shined a white light so she went in. Guess what happened, people.

She woke up. In her bed. Progressing what just happened and continued her daily routine.

A Very Long qRoier Theory

Okay so here's what I actually think, and TRUST THE PROCESS OKAY:

I think that Roier really was kidnapped by the Federation, but I don't think that he was taken because he was looking for Cellbit strictly because the Feds themselves are actually more or less actively searching for the missing islanders and hoping for their return so they can continue the murder investigation. Despite the terrible things going on, the Feds legitimately want all their islanders/lab rats back on the island so they can continue with whatever experiment they're holding. Every time Cucurucho has held a meeting recently, it's asked about the status of the missing islanders, so it really wouldn't make sense for it or the Feds as a whole to punish their one single lead in the case when every actual Federation agent assigned to the case has either come up with nothing or disappeared entirely.

Nah, I think Roier was taken because he was vulnerable and because the Feds figured nobody would've missed him. They know that he isn't really super close with anybody on the island but Cellbit, and they know that he's been actively pushing people away for a while now- basically since Bobby's death, and moreso since his return from Purgatory.

Looking at the QSMP channel's streams, particularly Elena's, we know that the Feds seem to be a pharmaceutical company. They, simply speaking, make drugs. Look at the "happy pills" that Elena helped create, this is what the Feds do.

Roier mentioned that he was drugged. He never said that they stopped drugging him. I think he's still being drugged and that he isn't a rat- not a literal one, anyway.

I think that Roier is still under the effects of the drugs he's being given because he is currently a test subject. He's a lab rat.... at the moment, anyway.

More on that later.

Do I have any evidence for this? Not really, but also some things just didn't add up cinematically. Like, okay, go back and watch everything from after when Roier 'wakes up' in the dungeon:

Everything's got this weird otherworldly fuzziness and glow to it. It's almost dreamlike in a way. Only the focus of the world is, well, in focus. The rest is blurred like a bad 3D movie:

There are all these weird cuts and jumps, too, like 11:16 when we suddenly cut to black for a few moments as Roier goes down the hallway, or 12:13 when we smash cut to the rat and 12:16 when we cut to Cucurucho. It's super sudden and jarring and it sets up a real nice feeling of unease (shoutout to ccRoier, this is SPECTACULAR)

And the music, okay, the background music is exactly the kind of shit you'd hear in a 'Dreamcore Music Video' on YouTube. It's super Backrooms, super weird esoteric vibes, and that's very on purpose.

None of this is real, and "Doied" is the final proof because like. He isn't real lol, if he's real then so is Roger, and the only times either of them front are when Roier's goofing around or when he's extremely homicidal (we saw Roger pretty recently, actually, back in October when he said that Cellbit killing everyone might be a good thing, actually.) Doied isn't like Abueloier or Melissa, he's one of Roier's 'alters', and he's a bit of a freak lol

I think about everyone can agree that this whole 'Ratoier' thing is a hallucination, but then we have to think, huh, what the hell does any of this mean?

First, we gotta follow the whole 'Roier is Currently Super Drugged' thing, because he is. He literally is. If he's not, well, laugh at me when the next tape comes out.

Roier is drugged by the Feds right now probably to test a new drug, possibly a drug meant to- just like the Happy Pills- make people happy again. In this case, however, I think that the pills may actually have something to do with memories, particularly the same memory retrieval stuff the Resistance did to Bagi. Because, well.

I want to go back to the rat, and I want to go back to Doied, because this stream actually implied a LOT about qRoier's character.

The thing about Doied is that he's the manifestation of Roier's "Um, actually!" Nerd Emoji self. He's a nerd. He's a loser with glasses and a nasty attitude.

Doied, in the dream, is a scientist. Doied, in the dream, performed horrible, inhumane experiments for the Federation. He put Roier's brain into a rat's, a lab rat's.

Once a long, long time ago in August, Roier quietly came to the realization that maybe he has a past history with the Federation and that's why Osito Bimbo has always been so weird about him- it basically had a crush on him for the first week or so of the island, and it still seems to, and he is still the only one outside of Foolish the Federation Employee to be addressed directly by his train ticket number: 0037. He brought up the possibility of being a Federation worker in the past to Cellbit, who brushed it off and said that he wouldn't care because he's a worker, too, technically, but what if it isn't a possibility?

We've always wondered how Federation workers end up the way they do. Why are they all the exact same type of bear? Why does only Cucurucho get to have a face and a voice? Why do they all have human minds and emotions? Why are they all dedicated to the Federation?

Easy. Because maybe they were people before, just like how Bagi and several other islanders think they are. But maybe someone put their brains inside of an animal's body- or, at least, inside of a worker's body, God only knows if they were actual polar bears at some point. Somebody had to help come up with that technology, and maybe it's the guy who managed to build an entire computer and radio-satellite setup over the span of about a week in his goddamn backyard without anybody knowing about it.

Roier has always had some weird connection with the Federation. He's the only civilian islander to ever be addressed by his ticket number, and later we find out that Foolish's ticket number- 0039- is his Federation Employee ID Number- W0039. He was Osito Bimbo's favorite for the first week on the island to the point of Osito just giving him whatever he wanted. He and Jaiden were paired up for the Egg Event (something that was intentional, btw, admin confirmed), and it's later revealed that Jaiden has a past with the Federation regarding the SMILE Units (aka Osito Bimbo and Cucurucho and the new guys.) The "Gods" (aka the admins) will happily follow him around and revive him when he's alone and strike him with lightning when asked and give him dirt and whatever. He managed to get someone onto the island from off of the island, Abueloier, and Abueloier was saved from the brink of death by the Federation in the Federation's hospital. His literal pet dog is a Federation employee. He got to name Jorgito the IV Drip.

Doied put someone's brain into the body of a rat, and Doied is Roier's nerd self.

I think that Roier may, in fact, have a past history with the Federation, and that it isn't because his grandfather worked/works for them. Maybe Roier did, just like he suspected months ago, and maybe he did some really bad things. But they were excused at the time because the people being converted into workers were bad people who made mistakes. Roier made the mistake of breaking the rules trying to connect with Cellbit, and so he got turned into a rat. There's been a functional prison on the island for long enough for it to be partially abandoned (see: Tazercraft Prison Stream.) Walter Bob was held there, possibly because he was part of the Resistance, or possibly because he wasn't done cooking yet.

Roier has always been a man of justice. When people do bad things, they get punished, and then things can go back to normal. He ruined Quackity's life. He wanted Slime to be properly punished for killing Tilin and he threatened to murder him when he tried threatening the kids. He built an entire torture dungeon in his basement for the explicit purpose of torturing Spreen to the point of death repeatedly and possibly for the rest of Spreen's miserable life. Cucurucho took Bobby away, and Roier said that the Federation would regret putting and keeping him on the island. Pozolito the Capybara blew Cellbit up, and Roier has literally tried killing every Capybara he's seen since. The Federation screwed with his family and with himself, and Roier is more than happy to join Cellbit in massacring the entire Federation.

He's a man of justice, but not of morals. He's a ruthless killer when it comes down to it, and he only shows regret when it comes to his husband's deaths during Purgatory. He doesn't fight unless he has to, but he's been thinking about killing everyone on the island since the first week of the server when he was betrayed. But, when it comes down to it, he doesn't actually want to hurt anyone he cares about. It's why Purgatory fucked him up so much.

His moral alignment actually matches up pretty well with several other Federation workers'- particularly workers like Elena and Fred who are nice but are willing to do terrible things in the name of their cause. The difference here is that Roier has had the same privilege that workers like Walter Bob and Ron got: he got a chance to socialize.

He doesn't have memories from before the island, but he remembers enough about his childhood to be a little suspicious.

But what if these drug-induced hallucinations are actually hints to Roier's backstory? What if it wasn't Doied running all these terrible experiments for the Federation, but it was Roier? Just a guy acting under the belief that he was making the world a better place, punishing criminals (aka rule breakers) while helping the Federation's cause: finding true happiness and spreading it to the world.

The Eye said that everybody in Purgatory was a sinner, and maybe Roier's sin was some mad scientist bullshit.

The dream today, Tape 1, had Roier being punished. Maybe it's because that's what he did as a scientist to new employees, or maybe it's because of his own guilt over everything he's done; remember, the reason he stopped smiling in Purgatory wasn't because he was killing his friends (because he's thought about killing his friends for a VERY long time), but it was because he killed Cellbit, and then it was because he left Cellbit behind to die. That's why the dream specified Cellbit's lost signal and not, say, Jaiden's, and it's why all the cool cinematic landscape shots focused on either Roier himself or Cellbit.

If my prediction is correct, Tape 2 would have Roger instead of Doied. So we'll see what happens then, I guess. Roger, who represents Roier's anger and his various homicidal tendencies.

Fit said that everybody was on the island for a reason, and Roier has been cooking for a long time now. Maybe qRoier is just like qJaiden: a former Federation associate.

TLDR; qRoier is currently hallucinating due to him being a Federation lab rat. His drug-induced dreams may be implying that Roier has a past within the Federation as a scientist completing the same experiments that "Doied" did in the dream to Roier.

Addressing the troll and those affected

To followers and to those that were following bloodbladesanddemons, I’m sure you are all aware of a troll that has been on those site ever since May, and what started as a minor inconvenience has spiraled into a storm that has hurt many wonderful creators, fans of demon slayer that just a wanted a peaceful place to rant about their passions. Me and bbd have been friends for years, and when we both got into demon slayer about a year ago, we both decided to share that passion and create our own accounts. Both with our own characters, stories and hoping that we could meet like minded people to share our passion with. And at first, it was a great experience that had helped us reach so many wonderful people, and we got in right when the character Hantengu was animated so the hype was there for that specific character.

That all changed however when in April we started getting random anon asks from a person claiming they knew a creator named mothzii who was calling another artist a racial slur, and that’s why we should hate and avoid them at all costs. Since we had no idea what was going on, didn’t know who Mothzii was and found it weird that someone would go anon to apparently warn us, we ignored it because it wasn’t our business and we assumed that since most people are adults they can figure it out themselves. Why add to drama that didn’t involve us right? That changed when a young artist dream core started reporting that there was an anon troll on their asks and messages who was harrassing them relentlessly. Since bbd had recently started interacting with them she decided to help in anyway she could by both advising and giving them support, cuz bullying is not okay. After doing some research, we found a strange account on rule34, a degenerate site as we are all aware, but I found a picture that someone posted of fanart, of Sekido insulting some random female oc saying you disgust me, let me love on my real wives…to which they mention not only a random name of some other oc, but mention bbd’s character chizue. We found that this rule 34 user took mothzii commissioned art of her self insert, drew over it and basically stole the art, and made a disgusting parody of it, mentioning two OCs that were not even the posters or mothziis own. Basically, using bbd’s character without permission to harass and make fun of someone else. Bbd did not stand for it, and made a post saying that it was not okay for someone to use her character to compare and contrast who was a better fit for Sekido…which by the way is childish and disgusting cuz Sekido is a fictional character, and to justify art theft from people on twitter and mentioning an artist on tumblr is apparently is just asking for drama. After bbd made that post, we also reported the post and account on rule34 cuz the pic was very explicit and to see her characters name on that was disgusting. It was taken down….but not before receiving multiple anon asks about it. She ignored them, but when they started making porn of dreamcores CHILD character, sending it to them and BBD through anon asks+messages and practically taunting both saying “hahaha, you can’t do anything about it” bbd stepped in to report them again. They made so many pedophiliac art using dreams character, sent it to them and bbd, and when bbd reported them they started stealing bbds art as retaliation, reposting it on the same rule34 account and kept at the taunting. Even took a gift art bbd drew for dreamcore and made an explicit version making fun of dreamcores character, and stealing+editing bbd’s art without consent and posted it to rule34. It got so bad that she contacted rule 34 moderators about it, and after a while they asked the troll poster to take it down.

Not even a couple days later I start getting anon asks/taunts, with the troll linking their new rule34 account and showing me they stole one of my pieces (The Shinjuro and Hatomi comic) and were taunting me asking what I’m gonna do about it. I did something about it, not only did I report the art theft, I made sure to report to mods about the new account and gave them all the evidence that they are the same person from before on rule 34, even showing the multiple screenshots of this troll making multiple spam accounts just to harass not only bbd and dream, but others not even involved, those that have supported bbd and her art, and even came after me and sun because we were her friends. This troll found it better to be a coward, and hide behind spam accounts because they were so confident they would never be found. So cocky that they justified to themselves that art theft and pedo art is okay as they can bully the people they are jealous of. They went on for months calling dream bbd and sun broken white supremiscists that made art for eachother because white people stick together, that as them being a person of color started demanding they get free art too. Then They made the mistake of calling me a white supremicist, because me being friends with them and others they didn’t like meant I was white….i knew this was a taunt and a way to bait me and instead of keeping it private like they wanted it to be, I exposed them, answered their taunt and revealed that I was actually not white, I was colored, and I addressed both their corwardice and blatant racism for trying to justify their harrassment with the color of their skin. No matter what race, a shit person is still a shit person, and no amount of racial slurs they threw at us would make them right. That’s when they started calling me a Mexican taco muncher, and sent me more spam asks trying to make fun of me, even sent them to bbd and a couple others. I didn’t talk the insult seriously cuz they were entirely off the mark on my race and I knew they were just trying to goad me into a private message battle, so I made it public to others about what this troll was doing and if they were getting bothered to ignore them.

I was also made aware that there was a private discord that most of the Hantengu fan creators were a part of, me and bbd were invited but chose not to accept due to suspicions of the troll being on there, and after getting multiple screenshots of the drama going on there we were glad we didn’t. It proved that the troll was causing many problems on that server. Bbd had gotten to know one of these members from here on tumblr and even started talking to them both on tumblr and outside of that, which was on discord. Since bbd started becoming acquainted with them, I started talking with them as well. But then a couple months into it, the person bbd was talking to had a disagreement with a characters story, and instead of respecting bbds boundary had started to make a problem about it. All of it was discussed privately on discord and bbd, myself and sunbroken had chosen to keep the matter private and not give any more ammo to the troll who we knew was stalking all of our accounts as proven with the multiple spam asks, messages and stolen art. We had hoped the matter could be solved privately as the person responsible had at first agreed to give bbd some quiet time before they would sit down and talk about it. Despite some instances of them not respecting bbds boundary, bbd still chose not to spread any info as that was nobody else’s business, and chose to take down the art with said persons character as since that was her art she has every right to do that..

Until the troll came back and started harrassing again, claiming that how dare BBd do that, claiming this person bbd took the art down of was their friend. Acting as if they had any say over what bbd should post and not post. Considering what the troll was saying through anon asks referencing the person that BBd was on rocky terms with after the argument, we all went to the person to ask if they shared what happened with anyone not involved. Turns out, they did, shared it with one person who they thought was their friend and who was also a part of that same Hantengu server. Understandably due to the harrassment from the troll and finding that this person shared sensitive info with someone not involved, BBd cut contact. I chose not to as I wanted to find out more. For a couple months bbd had been making more content, the troll every so often coming back with more ridiculous spam asks calling her many expletives and mocking their art, the troll was ignored, and others who have been getting the same came to me with screenshots of the stuff they were getting. We all chose to ignore it. Well I suppose the troll didn’t like getting ignored, so then they started a new account on twitter to steal more art, and even started bullying georgette mademoiselle. Because they have no conscience, even started going back on the insults they referred to bbds character with, and started sending multiple messages to both georgette and bbd that georgettes character compared to Chizue was absolute crap. It was horrid, and bbd made sure to report them and talk with Georgette to show that this troll was doing that. So that was supposed to be the end of it right?

Not. The troll kept going. Confident they would never be found, still kept making fun of all mentioned previously, and even started mentioning bbd private tumblr+discord account in these spam asks. We thought it was strange how this troll knew as BBd does not share her personal account with any one, except for the one person from before that she cut contact with. Since the person was not forthcoming with anything going on, bbd had to go on the assumption that whoever they told led this troll to find their private account. And then the troll started stalking their Facebook. Finding old pics and threatening to apparently expose her? Which makes no sense cause bbd has nothing to hide, but it was disturbing how this troll was now stalking her personal accounts. So we kept digging. And since the troll sent me a spam ask taunting me with bbd face, saying their name and trying to guess where they live, I decided to contact them (I know them in real life, and found it disgusting how obsessed this troll was with bothering them. Throughout the back and forth the troll had made many things clear, that they had no intent of stopping, and that they will harass other people. Even going so far as to say they will impersonate again and again to drive her supporters away if it means making them miserable, sharing that they knew both of our discords. They made this first account just this past week, which got deactivated, then came back with a new one, this time showing that they stole more art from bbd and posted it on another version of rule34 since last time they got banned from doing it on the other. This was the convo

After I called them out, after a day or two, sunbroken confronts the person who first shared bbd’s personal info with the other person, trying to get to the bottom of it, but out of fear they chose not to share initially. That and I started receiving threats from the troll trying to stalk my personal and find my face while also threatening to find out where I live. And then finally after a month of not speaking to me I get this from serenesaku, who was the one who vented to their friend ria about the situation from months before in the first place. Dream core apparently got screenshots from one of the members on discord, who apparently got it from a spam account which was the troll on tumblr, sending these to that member to send to dreamcore out of feign concern that apparently BBd was talking behind dreams back on discord. News flash, this chat was entirely fabricated by the troll, making a fake discord account using bbd private discord name, posing as them and making a chat log and wanting dream to see it so to frame bbd. For a text convo btw that never happened. I wouldn’t be surprised if said troll just took a pic of bbd discord name from the screenshots they got from serenesaku back when she vented to them, and just copy and pasted over these screenshots to make it look like bbd said them. And the sicker part is that they did this with mothzii back when the drama first started, impersonating them and sending it to their friends so to isolate mothzii. Serenesaku did not know better, their naïveté was taken advantage of, and because she shared this with another person the troll found their personal stuff and started making up fake evidence. When serenesaku approached me asking who was doing it to Dream, this is the convo that happened. And so many things that were not shared before were shared.

I know this is a lot. Frankly I am disgusted that such a toxic part of the fandom has found its way here and affected some of the good people I know and still attempts to harass me as I post this. I will not delete my account. If there is anyone who wants to know the truth, don’t be afraid to ask. Then again, if you don’t want to be involved, i don’t blame you either. Knowing this information has made me and bbd lose faith in what we thought was a fun fandom. I still hope it is, and that’s why I am making this post. The world is already a shit place, and the internet has its shit places too, but for those that want to advocate for truth and proper internet etiquette, let this be an example of what happens when people don’t properly communicate, that this is what jealousy and not treating other people with respect does. Yes demon slayer is fiction, but why would someone like this troll waste all their time and energy just to make everyone miserable for something that is supposed to be fun. Cuz that is what they want. To divide and conquer. They want attention and power, Don’t let this troll win. With the truth now posted, I hope this can bring those that want a fun environment together under a common purpose. This behavior from the troll is unacceptable, and I know the troll is watching so let this post show you that I am not afraid of you. I am not afraid of speaking the truth. Neither is sun, neither is Saku, and neither are the ones you targeted. I know who you are, I refuse to play your game, and I won’t give up until the many creators I have come to cherish and respect can create without fear that your jealousy will cause another situation like this to happen again. We all have our own personal lives, as humans we are entitled to our own sense of privacy, seeing as how you violated that in the name of harassment, then surely that same respect can be extended to you. None.

The troll is a coward, full of jealousy and won’t stop until everyone is divided and they can have a fictional character all to themselves. it is pathetic. Shameful behavior that they perpetuate with spreading lies and misinformation, hoping they can get away with it again. The truth hurts, I know that and those that may have unintentionally have been in contact with the troll, you are not to blame. How could you have known that someone this two faced was this delusional. If I lose followers, that’s okay. This was never about followers, this was about sharing my stories with those that want it. Bbd wanted that too, before her privacy was infringed upon. Would any of you stay silent and let that happen to someone else close to you, I won’t and refuse to give up, cuz know better than to blame the fandom. This is just one miserable person that wants power over someone. If I mentioned you either with or without consent, my deepest apologies. This troll took advantage of people just wanting to ignore it, talking advantage of peoples trust and wanting to move on and put it all on someone innocent that they were jealous of. I have kept quiet, supporting bbd and those I can however I was able, but now I see the only way to truly bring people together is to show the truth. However ugly it may be, this is how it happened and has spiraled since.

Bbd may have left, but she has not given up, just because she deactivated her account doesn’t change the fact that she had a story she wanted to tell, to share with those that wanted to listen. The wrong person that came in and ruined it doesn’t change the impact her art and stories had on you guys. She wants to thank those that have been with her through all of this, whether it was silent support or the daily comments that always brightened her day. Dreamcore, you were one of those people that was both hurt and supported bbd, and that what this troll sent to Hurt you was not bbd , it was just the troll trying to harass you since you posted about your stress of the whole situation. They saw that their efforts were working on you and bbd, and so they did this to sow even more distrust. The spam account that sent this to the person that showed you these had the intention of setting you against bbd. I remember when you first started getting harrassed, how angry me, bbd and many others were that someone would do something’s so horrid, and then move on to bbd just for helping you. This is a lot, you are not at fault, you are innocent. While in the past I did not agree with Saku at times, they knew how important it was to tell the truth. And it is the truth now I wish to share so people are aware.

I tagged those bullied, and for those I did not tag, it is out of respect that you helped give evidence so the troll can be exposed, if you guys wish to be mentioned please let me know. A united front is better than what the troll wants, which is a divided one. As for @hearts4muzan /overworked , is talking behind others back, spreading lies and rumors, making light of what has been going on….is that funny to you? Are you proud that so many creators have left because of the constant harrassment, art theft, and stalking personal accounts. In what world is any of that excusable, for this not only to happen once before but for you both to help perpetuate another all in the name of attention. Did you think you were clever, so two faced playing as if you had nothing to do with this, now everything has been brought to light. What do you have to say for yourselves? And the just this morning you send this to Saku, since bbd deactivated their account, after you impersonated them on discord, and after sending harassment about bbds OCs for months

Saku knows who you are now, what kind of demented person taunts this after what you had done, and not only that says that because BBd is gone, Bbds character Katashi is now free to use?! Saku didn’t ask for this, sure she made mistakes, but nothing justifys saying that. Katashi is bbd’s character, Saku respects that, and you do not. Appalling.

I know this may break alot of the trust creators thought they could place, who wants to say they talked with the ones responsible and had no idea, I understand this is both discouraging and will hurt. However there is one way I see this and that is what inspires me to give the truth now. This troll was never honest in the first place, they were a coward that preyed on everyone to manipulate and control. If they were never honest in the first place, then there was no trust to begin with. From that let this help teach and show that we as people will not stand for this.

🏠 Home trusting you is just the first step to the slippery slope of Home deciding to hold you captive. If you want Home to love you enough to do that (which... who would want that...), you need to go out of your way to care for it. You need to do as Wally does, as in, try to find a more accurate way to communicate with it. Onomatopoeia isn't the easiest thing for someone to understand, so you have to find some other form of communication. Wally will happily help, of course! He has been doing so for a while, now! With little success, yes, but it is the thought that counts!

🏠 Home was already thinking of holding Wally hostage. Now that you are also being so kind to it, it will think of keeping you, too. Wally will need a friend, and Home is having a hard time choosing which one of you to keep, so why not both?

🏠 Wally is easy to trick, plus, he lives in Home. You, however, are very smart. It will be much easier to have Wally come and invite you over! With what little communication that the two of them have created, it lets Wally know that it wants you to come over. It'll use an excuse, like only trusting you to help with this or that. Wally's answer, of course, is "Sure, Home! I will go ask them right now!"

🏠 Wally will go an retrieve you, a happy grin on his face, oh so ignorant to what is about to happen. The both of you go to Home, with you helping with whatever task it requested help with. It could be something as big as sweeping the floors to something as small as hanging up a painting Wally made. You have some dinner, before heading to the front door to leave.

🏠 However... as you turn the handle, the door doesn't open. You try again, only to have nothing happen. "Home... Is this a prank? Come on, this isn't funny!" Wally peeks his head in front the dining room, asking "Is something wrong, neighbor?" "The door won't open!"

🏠 Wally walks over, his grin still wide, but his eyes full of panic. He tries to open the door, only to fail, as well. "Home... this isn't funny... Home?" A loud creak resounds through the whole house, before Home's eyes look in at the both of you.

🏠 Both you and Wally look at each other. The last words said between you two that night being "I'm sorry, (Y/N)..." "It's alright, Wally... You didn't know this would happen."

he'll have you wait by the side as he adjusts his pillows and all, then calling you over to sit beside him with your hot drink in hand. you'll talk about those trips that he didn't get to join in, the weird shower thoughts you have, his random thoughts, and sometimes, he'll even share his secrets because he puts his faith in you, much more that he had anticipated.

your talks would go on for hours and hours and it'll just end up being a sleepover. like it'll all start with a

"come, let's lay down and talk, my back's tired."

then suddenly you'll be faced with a soft smile on his face accompanied by half lidded eyes, and a "good morning."

and, you'll be standing in front of March 7 who has a big smile on her face and also a "good morning." already giggling at the sight of the two of you huddled together at the morning's coldness.

another scenario is that when he'll have nightmares of blade haunting him, reminding him of dan feng's sins. if he's ever woken up by those nightmares the night before, the night after he'll have his floors be set to those waves again, or something calming, a relaxing ambient type of setting like rain or the ocean again KSJDHF but! he'll play this song to set his mood before wrapping himself comfortably in his blankets, trying to fall asleep. he'll slowly release the tension around his feet, then legs, letting go of himself in each limb and all the way until he's fallen asleep.

These nights would be somewhat peaceful, ykno sometimes or some ppl, when they've been a night owl for quite some time, and they finally, FINALLY get that 10pm sleep and wake up at 7am??

YEA that's what happens to him during those nights, he'll wake up, feeling even more refreshed and energized, feeling as if he's taken a step forward, ready to start the day again.

Apologies if I’m flooding your ask box with questions. I tend to ramble a lot whenever something catch’s my interest. I have four questions if that’s okay.

1. What will be the runtime of DAWM’s Episodes?

2. will the show be more character focused or more story oriented with an overarching plot?

3. Will there be any love triangles or romantic subplots?

4. You mentioned you love both Mascot, analogue horror and children’s media turned horror. So would you consider DAWM to fall into either one of those two categories?

Hiya! No worries, I'm always happy to answer questions when I got the time :o) They're like little treats in between work! We're looking at between 4-7 minute runtimes. Looking at other indie animators and taking into account how large their teams are, this is the runtime that felt the most realistic. It could be subject to change, however! The way I've been writing it, the overarching plot ties in to the character focused arcs, so while it has a character-lead plot, there is still an overarching story/theme overall :oD There are some romantic subplots! ;o) We've actually been exploring some that I think will really hit-- it certainly hit us hard while we were developing them! When I was rewriting DAWM, I was looking to those genres for inspiration! I think it could still technically fall under some of those genres but I've been working on subverting some expectations to stay away from things like FNAF and WH. I'm now looking at it as a Dreamcore Mascot Horror-Comedy. I noticed some people were tagging it as a puppet ARG and it is not!

•before I get into my criticism, I do want to point out that the graphics are BREATH-TAKING, and the amount of new cutscenes+animations is really epic too(of note, the rework of guiding light is SO gosh darn pretty!!) The minecart reveal with seek’s chase was entirely unexpected and worked so well build up hype. The finishing sequence with the seek lake was also really cool and not like anything we’ve seen before. As a weirdcore/dreamcore enjoyer I find myself quite enjoying the more prominent role seek plays in the game on this floor.

Okay with that out of the way

•you’re telling me the major antagonist of the floor is an overgrown screech recolour?!?! Be so fr, lowkey the idea for the gurmble was so lazy, especially considering how few new entities we’ve gotten. I don’t mind the giggles, they’re a clever overhead alternative to the snares and the joke with them being similar to screech is fun. But making the bigger version of what is essentially a gag the main antagonist? Idk man. I’d take Figure returning anyday. •before the seek chase, it is honestly so, so mid. Sure, the cart mechanic is alright but. It just doesn’t do it for me. Boring af. There’s so many gimmicks, like the fire trap rooms, but it feels like just that. A bunch of new gimmicks, without a solid foundation to make it interesting and convince me to feel invested

How To Make A Dreamcore Story

(if you recognize this- yes, this is copy-pasted from my tiktok. same username on both platforms!! <3)

So i’ve been hyperfixating on dreamcore lately, BUT i noticed some of the stories are a bit clunky, so i wanted to provide tips based on both my experience with writing, and my experience with dreamcore as an aesthetic!! <3

DISCLAIMER!! Please do not harass any dreamcore story creators, even if the writing’s iffy- after all, they’re most likely young, and this may be their first time working on a project of that size. This is not to shame those creators, but to help steer them in the right direction!! :D 

Common tropes i’ve noticed

The school format

I noticed most dreamcore stories have the same format. The viewer heads to school, random student approaches, speedruns their introduction, then warns the viewer of an entity/other student. This isn’t exactly bad- there’s quite a lot of room to work with!- but after literal years of being repeated over and over again, if you don’t do anything with it, it can get pretty stale.

2. The playroom format

This format is a little less common, but it’s still present- possibly owed to that one tiktok sound. Basically, a character’s at an indoor playground/some other kid-friendly place, but then they somehow get stuck for years on end. Again, not bad (a lot more creative than the school format, i’ll admit), but again-again, it’s been repeated and repeated with no sense of subversion or general flavor. Keeping that up, it’ll get bland.

3. The mother-centric format

Speaks in the name- more popular than the playroom format, but less popular than the school format. The viewer unexplainably encounters a character proclaiming to be the viewer’s mother, and keeps them in her house. Other characters say to beware of mother, mother goes apeshit, yada yada somebody dies, the end. This format has a lot of potential (I find myself more invested than, say, the playroom or school format), but you have to be careful, because if you don’t use that potential, it’ll simply be lost in a barren of so many other mother-centric stories.

4. Object head characters

Moving away from story formats, since those are THE most prevalent. Now okay, object head characters aren’t exactly bad- i love those guys! But there are a *lot*- from my experience, it’s mostly eyes and tv heads. Of course, eye heads and tv heads aren’t bad! They’re just extremely common, and thus, many people will get tired of it.

5. Just a human world with distorted people

This one’s more of a personal pet peeve of mine than an actual trope, but since it’s very common, I figured I'd mention it. Now, if you don’t know where to start in terms of worldbuilding, that’s okay! We’ll get to that in a bit. But like- this is meant to be otherworldly, is it not? So why is everything so *human*? Now, you do have a writing opportunity with that- maybe it’s meant to look normal early on, and the non-human aspects creep through as the story progresses. But a lot of the time, it’s laziness. And it’s okay to be lazy, but there are plenty of ways to spice up the world your setting is in!

6. Cookie-cutter personalities

Again, more of poor writing than an actual trope, but it’s still common, so it’s worth talking about. There’s usually three character archetypes within dreamcore stories- ‘vaguely benevolent’, a generically nice character that’s usually just an introduction/worldbuilding crutch and not much else, ‘one-note bully’, a character with little personality beyond harassing people (that is very commonly seen in the school format), and ‘homicidal creature’, the entity/other student that the vaguely benevolent character warns about, sometimes going hand-in-hand with the one note bully. None of these are inherently bad, and they’re great as a starting point, but they are bland, if you can’t expand upon them.

Now that’s out of the way, let’s move onto our points- writing tips, character tips, and story tips. While the first two are good for any sort of story, the last one is more dreamcore-centric, in my opinion.

 Let’s start with a few writing tips!

Take your time. I know it’s tempting to jump into the meat of your story, but if you do without buildup, it’s gonna give your viewers whiplash- basically, avoid speedrunning. Here’s an example on what to do- if you’re going with the school format, have the viewer meet the character, have the character say their name/pronouns/whatever, have them find out yall are in the same first class, then walk to class together. Have the two get to know each other, through hobbies and quirks and whatnot, then once you reach the class, THEN you can share about the entity/other student. Nothing oscar-worthy, but at least you’ll be easing the viewer into the story, rather than infodumping all at once. 

Show, don’t tell. Pretty similar to the first point, but equally as important! Rather than spoon feeding all the worldly info to the viewer, have them discover it themself! For example, don’t just say “hey there’s acid rain and eyes that watch your every move and teeth as money”- have an event where the viewer steps outside, and is baffled to learn there’s acid rain. Have an event where they see eyes on the wall staring into their soul, and bail from the area. Have an event where they head to a store, and is disgusted when they find out the cashier only accepts teeth. This way, the viewer will feel more immersed into your world, and it’s a good opportunity to explore different places!

Please, god, learn grammar. Of course, you may be young, or maybe english isn’t your first language- and that’s okay! This isn’t meant to be a dig against you. But poor grammar can easily pull the viewer from the story, and if you want viewers, you gotta keep them hooked! Stiffness of the wording isn’t (usually) the problem here, it’s often punctuation, spelling, and capitalization- see the difference between these two sentences; “What are you doing here? You shouldn’t have come here.” “what ru doing here, u shouldnt have come hear”

Be subtle! Pretty much just an add-on to the ‘show, don’t tell’ bit. For example, if you’re making a twist villain, you don’t want them to be screaming in the viewer’s face and chopping people right in front of them, because then nobody will be surprised. Instead, maybe they say something about how ‘everyone always leaves them’, or they have something negative to say about literally every other character. There’s still a glimmer of mistrust, but it’s not too obvious, so you’re able to take the viewer by surprise.

I think that’s it? My other points fall into other categories- speaking of which… Character tips!!

Get creative! I know, it’s tempting to go the standard “eyeball/tv head face” route, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But if you explore beyond that realm, it’ll make you stand out, even if just a little bit! If you’re going the object head route, then I recommend putting some meaning behind the objects you choose, since that can add to your storytelling. For example, if your character is a husk of the person they once were, then maybe you could use a broken vase, or an animal skull. It can also work as foreshadowing! If your character is a ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ type, you can make them a literal sheep, or some other 'helpless' prey animal. Hell, you can look to symbolism specifically found in dreams- for a hopeless romantic character, you could use a red tulip, since in dreams, they represent intense passion and love. Of course, I recommend exploring outside the object people- are there shadow people? Dolls? What are the limits for you? Don’t be afraid to explore what you can do with your characters, because whatever you decide, it’ll make your story flourish.

Naming! I noticed people either name their dreamcore characters human-y names, or they’re named after the thing they are. Neither of this is bad, but you can explore a bit! Going back to the object heads, since that’s a lot of people’s comfort zones- let’s say you got a tooth head character. Rather than naming them Tooth or John, you can explore teeth-related name options- Canine, Veneer, Cavity, Fang, whatever. Nothing groundbreaking, but still, a bit of flavor’s appreciated. It can hint into your character’s personality, too! With Veneer, a veneer’s a custom shell that fits over the surface of a tooth, meant to improve their appearance. Maybe *your* Veneer’s a superficial bootlicker that boosts up and covers for the main antagonist of the story. As for another example, with Canine… Well, ‘canine poetry’ is all I'm gonna say.

Give their personalities flavor! Not everyone can be the three ‘vaguely benevolent’, ‘one-note bully’, or ‘homicidal creature’ archetypes. What are their hobbies? Little quirks and mannerisms? What is their trauma, if they have any? What is the reason to feel a certain way about a character? If you don’t know these things right away, that’s okay! Take some time to get to know your characters. What are your characters’ fatal flaws? Do your malevolent characters have any sort of redeeming qualities? How do your characters grow or regress throughout the story? Don’t be afraid to make your characters morally gray- it’ll only make them more engaging! (With careful writing, of course.)

Making the actual character. Now, picsart is a very popular tool, and it’s great for building a concept for how you want your character to look- and it’s perfectly fine to use that as your final, lots of people do! But my advice? I think you should try your hand at art. I know this sounds scary, but think about it! Not only will your story have a more personal touch, but it will also be a lot more expressive! If you don’t wanna draw them yourself, that’s okay- you can commission someone to draw the characters for you, or if someone’s willing to do it for free, take that chance!

Now, onto the meat of this guide- STORY TIPS!

Research dreamcore as an aesthetic. To put into simple terms- dreamcore is an aesthetic based heavily on dreams, nightmares, and nostalgia for something that never happened, or existed. Many people like to interpret this as pastel or bright imagery, mushrooms, eyes, vague text, trauma, comfort, etc etc. Of course, how you see dreamcore will influence how you create your dreamcore story, as there’s a lot of freedom in an individual’s dreams. This means you can stick to the common “mushrooms with eyes” formula (nothing wrong with that!), or you can go all out based on what you personally see in a dream, or nightmare.

Plot it out. It’s easy to just make stuff up as you go along- and while you can do that, you’re a lot more likely to create occasional plot holes, and general inconsistency. Take a moment to figure out what you want, even if it’s just a vague idea- beginning, middle, and end plot points may seem basic, but trust me, they’re essential to a coherent storyline. Your idea doesn’t have to be finalized, but you still need an *idea*, you know?

WORLDBUILDING. I can not stress this enough- please build on your world, make it your own. If you can’t think of any way to expand on it, let me ask some questions! Where is your main setting? What is the currency? How does time work- is it incoherent, like in actual dreams? What do living things outside of your ‘people’ look like, such as animals and plants? Are there common superstitions? Gods? What do the ‘people’ eat? What are the unspoken and spoken rules of this world? Build up as you go- you don’t have to figure everything out at once.

Get inspiration from dreams. The next few tips are gonna be “get inspiration”-esque, so buckle up. What are particular dreams of yours, or someone else's? What can you build around them? Maybe if there’s multiple, you can combine them in some way. On this topic, you can build on the inherent ‘quirks’ of dreams- for example, in dreams, time and wording are incoherent. Maybe upon exploring their world, the viewer may happen to find a clock whose hands spin at the speed of light. Or maybe while trying to uncover some sort of secret, they open some old book, only to find that the words change every second. Other dream quirks are ai-worthy hands, your reflection in mirrors never matching the actual you, flight, etc.

Get inspiration from various media. Personally, I recommend looking at analog horror for ideas- while analog horror and dreamcore are not the same thing, they do often have similar elements, which could be fun if properly utilized. Don’t copy/paste, obviously, but look towards it if you need an extra push. Another option can be looking at songs- spotify’s full of dreamcore playlists, if you don’t know where to start, though be warned, it can get a bit repetitive. Look at specific lyrics, or just the tone of the song- see how that makes you feel, and center your story around those lyrics or feelings. Yet another one is combining with another aesthetic- you can look at lovecore, cottagecore, gothic, etc. for ideas, since involving hints of other aesthetics can help build up the feel of the story that you’re trying to convey.

Get inspiration from your fears. While your dreamcore story doesn’t have to be horror (see; @/little.lizard.kisses on tiktok), dreamcore often has aspects of nightmares, which can be influenced by the things you fear. Fear of the dark? Maybe the viewer’s in a small neighborhood surrounded by an untouched, avoided forest, and the viewer goes out at night to explore it. Fear of being alone? Maybe the viewer’s in a liminal world where they’re the only person within it, and they’re desperately trying to search for someone else in this dreamscape. There’s many other fears, of course, but I encourage you to come up with your own ideas (though I’d still be happy to help!).

Music. Okay, done with the inspiration tips. Music is a good way to build up mood throughout your story, especially one like this. Though, many of the classic dreamcore songs (Hey Kids, School Rooftop, any Undertale song, etc) have been overplayed to hell and back, so it doesn’t hurt to introduce something new- here’s a few good playlists!

8. Voices. Now, of course, you could go with the computer-generated voices on free websites- classic, and less of a hassle. But unless you tinker around with it, there’s less room for expression, and of course, after years of use it gets old. So what’s the solution? Voice acting! Either do all the voices yourself, get some friends to help, or do a casting call. It’s definitely a lot harder to put together, but it leaves the story feeling authentic! Of course, you’re free to do the computer generated voices if that’s what you wish- this is just something I barely see in dreamcore content, if at all. (And besides, having voice acting isn't a fix-all, just a fun, unique thing for if you're doing a video format!!)
