Some photos from my sailing trip from last weekend. The weather was alright at the sea, although the winds were not in our favor (but there were thunderstorms on land at the time, so I can't complain when it was otherwise so nice).

Since we had no passengers on this trip, I spent most of the time teaching newer crew mates various skills from navigation and steering to packing the sails on the bowsprit. Things that a deckhand won't have the time to learn on a busy passenger trip.

I still feel like I JUST started in the crew, but being asked for advice and getting to teach these skills to others reminds me that I've been sailing this ship for 8 years and actually know some stuff by now. xD

Makes me happy when I can be helpful. ^^

There is something so vulnerable, precious, and human about sending up pieces of our hearts into space. i have a counter argument to the 'only one person can boop bill' thing, mabel. she's the type of person to slap stickers on people, she would definitely be the type to also boop others occasionally and bill would be no exception. she probably doesn't do it to annoy bill like dipper would, but maybe as a form of a friendly gesture, kind of like those people who will lightly punch friends in the arm when they hang out.

You know what? Good point. Mabel would get away with more than most, as a fun-loving lady! Bill understands those impulses, and being a touchy person! He indulges in similar ones himself.

Though when Bill's not in the mood to be playful and gets booped anyway? The 'sister-in-law' status grants her considerable grace.

We were watching pride and prejudice and my hand slipped....

The scenario: Damian has invited his mysterious friend-from-out-of-town to a ball hosted by the Wayne family. Jon is a dashing young man, but he's not sure how to interact with all the fancy people - lucky for him, Damian isn't all that interested in entertaining guests (he has Dick and Tim for that) and so they're doing fun activities together such as Standing Around and Playing Piano, to avoid anyone else thinking either of them is idle and waiting for a chat.
