Logan finds you in an empty hallway one afternoon, about two weeks after your encounter in the kitchen. You made the mistake of making eye contact, leaving you unable to turn and pretend you didn't see him like you've been doing since that night.
"You avoiding me or something?" he says, hint of a smile on his lips.
"No," you reply quickly. "What makes you think that?"
"Haven't seen you around much lately."
"Just busy."
"Right." He looks away for a moment, hands on his hips. "Look, I got a proposition for you."
"I don't--"
"I got this issue--," he continues, ignoring your response "--where it gets to be too much, you know? And I helped you out so--"
"What are you talking about?" you interrupt.
His voice drops a bit lower. "We're predators, right? And I don't know about you but sometimes my prey drive can be...too much, if you catch my drift."
"Okay..."
"And I got two words for you - quid pro quo."
You blink at him. "Logan, that's three words."
"I thought pro quo was one word."
"Why would you think that?"
"We're getting off topic," he says, waving his hands. “Think you can help a guy out?"
"Help you...how, exactly?"

You agree to meet Logan at the edge of the dense forest that surrounds the X Mansion at nightfall and as you walk through the grounds blanketed in darkness, your senses begin to feel more alive. Anticipation courses through you and the further you venture from the mansion, the darker the night becomes.
Logan is already there when you arrive, tension rolling off of him in waves. He gives you a tight smile.
"Took you long enough," he says. You roll your eyes.
"I'm still here, aren't I?" You gesture to the forest. "So, what now?"
"You run," Logan replies. "I hunt."
The deep timbre of his voice sends a shiver down your spine. What he's asking for goes against your nature but some deep part of you is eager to please.
You take off through the trees, running as fast as your legs will carry you across the soft forest floor. With your enhanced speed, it's not long before you're miles from the manicured mansion grounds, surrounded by gnarled roots and a thick canopy of leaves that blocks nearly all light from the moon.
You slow to a stop, catching your breath. The snap of a branch is the only warning you get before Logan's heavy weight barrels into you, sending you both tumbling to the ground with him coming out on top, smiling down at you, a wild glint to his eyes.
"Gotta do better than that, bub," he says. He stands up, holding a hand out to help you to your feet. "I'll give you a head start this time."
"I don't need a head start," you grumble. "I'm faster than you."
He laughs. "We'll see about that."
You start running, his laughter ringing in your ears. Your path is less direct this time, weaving through the trees and doubling back to leave your scent in more places and crossing a small creek with the hopes that the running water helps to cover your tracks. You grow comfortable enough in your lead that you begin to slow down, keeping yourself attuned to the sounds of the forest and any changes that might indicate Logan has found you.
The trees break into a vast clearing, tall grass swaying in the breeze. Moonlight trickles past the branches, stripes of faint light illuminating the floor. You take a moment to appreciate the tranquility of it, but the calm is short lived when you catch movement at the corner of your eye.
Logan steps through the trees. He's removed his shirt, thick muscle glimmering with sweat, his chest heaving with labored breath. Your mouth goes dry at the sight and for a moment you really do understand what it's like to be prey, faced with something so deadly it's almost hypnotizing, impossible to look away even when you’re in danger. He stalks closer and you feel frozen in place, unable to move a muscle.
"Found you," he growls.
Your survival instinct kicks into gear and you attempt to run away, sprinting across the glade with renewed vigor. If you can make it back into the forest you know you could shake him loose again, but staying in the clearing makes you a clear target.
Logan roars, the sound loud enough to shake the branches of nearby trees. You risk a glance over your shoulder and are met with the sight of the man on all fours, running towards you with single minded determination. He rapidly closes the distance with impressive speed, wrapping his arms around you and taking you down to the ground for the second time that night.
You grapple with him, landing a kick to his chest that gives you the chance to crawl out from beneath him. He reaches a hand out for your ankle and drags you back toward him, using his weight to hold you in place. You wiggle an arm free and strike at his face, though he dodges and your fingernails scrape against his neck, leaving red gashes in their wake that heal in the blink of an eye. He pins your arm to the ground above your head.
"No more runnin’,” he says, a command that shoots straight to your core. You know he’s not talking about just tonight, but rather how you’ve been avoiding him.
But how were you supposed to face him when the only thoughts you had of him since then were about how sweet he tasted, how good he felt, how much you wanted more, more, more that you couldn’t possibly ask him to give?
Your inner turmoil is lost when his lips slam against yours in a kiss that’s hot and hungry, stealing your breath with its ferociousness. His teeth sink into your bottom lip and you gasp at the sharp sting of pain that lights up your nerves. There’s nothing gentle about it, but you’re not gentle creatures and the beasts that pace and snarl beneath your ribcage have finally broken free.
Logan breaks the kiss to stare down at you with wild eyes. Blood, your blood, stains his lips and his tongue darts out to lick it away with a satisfied hum. He leans in close, burying his face in your neck, inhaling deeply, mouth open against your skin with the threat of sharp teeth over your racing pulse.
“Can’t hide it,” he says. “Not when I can smell it on you, sweetheart.”
“Smell what?”
“How much you want it.” He nips at the juncture between your neck and shoulder, making you hiss. “How much you want me.”
Heavy hands find the hem of your shirt, shoving it up your chest until it’s bunched beneath your armpits. He pulls down your bra to expose your breasts and your nipples tighten at the sudden burst of cold air against your skin but his mouth is on you in an instant, warm tongue tracing the taut buds. Your back arches at the sensation and you dig your fingers into his thick hair, pulling at the strands. He hums with pleasure as he switches to your other breast, giving it the same maddening attention.
His palm slides down your belly, fingers dipping beneath the elastic of your leggings and finding your needy center, swirling through the mess you’ve already made in your underwear. You can feel the smug grin on Logan’s face before he even lifts his head to look at you.
“That’s what I thought.” He withdraws his hand, holding it up to his face. In the moonlight you catch a glimpse of the strands of slick stretching between his index and middle finger before he sticks them in his mouth with a groan, licking them clean. “Fuck, you taste better than I imagined.”
The metallic sound of his claws unsheathing reaches your ears and your pulse jumps as he drags the blunt side of a single blade up the inside of your thigh. The tip catches on the fabric covering your pussy and with one quick move of his wrist he slices through your pants. His claw disappears and he reaches down with both hands to tear the fabric further.
Logan settles on his belly with his head between your thighs, your legs propped up on his broad shoulders. He kisses your pussy over the soaked fabric of your underwear but
spares you any further teasing, grabbing your panties in a tight fist and pulling roughly until the elastic snaps against your skin and he holds the torn fabric in his fist. He tosses them aside and buries his face in your cunt, devouring you like a man on a mission. His tongue alternates circling your sensitive clit and dipping into your dripping entrance, expertly tracing every inch of you. You’re so lost to the pleasure that you don’t notice him getting to his knees until he’s lifting your hips, hands gripping your ass tightly to keep your lower body suspended in the air and his mouth sealed to your cunt.
“Fuck!” you cry out, muscles growing tense as your orgasm builds. It hits you like a tidal wave, coursing through your veins as you shout his name like a prayer. His hold remains tight as he works you through it until you grow boneless in the aftermath.
He lowers you slowly back to the ground and you fight to catch your breath while he quickly removes his belt and shoves his jeans down enough to free his cock. You watch him take himself in hand, a brief slide of his fist over his impressive length before he runs the glistening head through your sensitive folds, bumping your clit and making you shiver.
Logan’s gaze remains fixed to yours as he presses forward, breaching your tight entrance. Your body accepts him greedily, the slight sting and stretch barely a thought when all you can focus on is how full he makes you feel.
His lips find yours for a messy kiss while he begins to thrust, a slow drag of his cock from your body followed by a sharp snap of his hips that punches the air from your lungs. You cling to his shoulders, clawing at his skin. The scent of his blood invades your senses and your teeth begin to ache at the memory of his taste.
Your teeth catch on his lip and he hisses but doesn’t pull away. Copper blooms across your taste buds and you can’t help the desperate moan that escapes into the kiss.
“Come on, baby,” Logan says. “Take a bite.”
You rest a palm on the back of his head, urging him closer, lifting your head and kissing his neck, licking the salty taste of him from over his fluttering pulse. You open your mouth, sinking your teeth into skin and muscle and vein until warm blood spills into your mouth. The combination of his blood on your tongue and his cock spreading you open sends you over the edge.
Above you, Logan growls, a deep rumble you can feel down to your marrow, some ancient part of you preening with excitement. He holds himself still as you clench around him. Your orgasm slowly subsides and you find the strength to unclench your tense jaw from his neck, gently licking at the blood that spills from the deep impressions of your teeth.
Logan sits up, cock slipping from your body and leaving you achingly empty. His hands grip your hips, forcefully turning your lax body over and hiking your ass into the air. He spreads your cheeks and the vulnerable position has your whole body growing hot.
“Hope you didn’t think we were done,” he tells you as he positions himself behind you, thrusting his length back into your body and setting a brutal pace that has you crying out into the night.
One hand holds your hip with bruising force while the other settles on your shoulder, pulling you into every delicious snap of his hips. Your mind goes blissfully blank with the overwhelming pleasure building up inside of you for the third time.
He folds forward, his chest pressed to your back and his pace growing sloppy as he nears his own release. A hand curls around yours, a moment of intimacy that leaves you reeling.
Logan roars, hips slamming into a final time, dragging your last orgasm from you as his cock pulses with his release inside of you. A sharp pain on your hip makes you gasp and you notice his claws have extended from the hand wrapped around yours, sinking into the dirt.
“Shit,” he pants, sitting up after a moment. The loss of his heat makes you shiver. “I nicked you.”
You slowly move yourself into a seated position, muscles feeling like jelly, and inspect the area that the pain came from. Your leggings have a new slice in the fabric and the material is sticky with blood but to your surprise, there’s no wound to be found.
“You heal that quick?” Logan asks. You shake your head.
“Not usually.” You run your fingers over smooth skin. “Must have been your blood.”
“You think so?”
You shrug. “Just a guess. Never fed from someone with advanced healing factor.”
“You sayin’ I’m your first?” he asks with a smirk. You can’t help the laugh that escapes and his smirk stretches into a grin. Logan stands, fixing his pants and holding a hand out to help you up.
“How am I supposed to get back into the mansion like this?” you ask, gesturing to your destroyed leggings.
“Guess I didn’t think that through,” he admits. “Give me a few minutes and I can be back with some new clothes.”
“How are you going to get into my room?”
He turns to look at you, continuing to walk backwards.
“I’m a man of many talents.”
With a wink, he disappears through the trees. You sigh.
What have you gotten yourself into?

🧠🪱Wiggly Wednesday🪱🧠
(This one ran away with me, whoops)
Batboy_Kas: Um ... dude, what? 🤨
This is the dm that greets Steve when he pulls his phone from his back pocket to check his Instagram. One confused frown, some scrolling, and one near-heart-attack later, he concludes that he forgot to lock his screen when he put the phone away earlier.
Which caused him to somehow end up on this random stranger's profile.
And go to his DMs.
And send him a GIF.
Not just any GIF. One of a grotesquely round and jiggly, animated ass. There's a text beneath the GIF. It reads: 2iggnag lg9gajdgka hfhdgjy.
"Aw, fuck!" Steve swears, neck prickling with heat as he types his reply.
Steve_Hairington: Shit, sorry. My ass typed that 😅
Batboy_Kas: Fitting choice of gif 🍑
Steve_Hairington: Yeah I guess
Batboy_Kas: You could say it's a ... smart ass
Steve snorts a laugh. What a dork! He's still debating if he should reply or leave it at that when Batboy_Kas sends his next message.
Batboy_Kas: So ... not even the tiniest chance you were flirting with me?
Steve_Hairington: Sorry dude. I prefer my men-
(He pauses to squint at the guy's profile pic. A cute little cartoon bat.)
-a little more human-shaped.
Batboy_Kas: Hey! That's just bc you've never had a creature of the night b4 🦇😉
Steve_Hairington: 🤣🤣🤣 Nice try, bat boy!
They end up texting (and flirting) regularly. Kas - named after some vampire dude from that dungeons and dipshits game Dustin enjoys - is a huge fantasy and music nerd, can keep up a string of banter for hours, and his dms quickly become the highlight of Steve’s days.
He knows better than to meet random faceless and nameless strangers from the internet, he really does. But when Kas says he's in town for work some two months later, Steve is a bit embarrassed at how fast he agrees to a date.
Kas doesn't really beat the vampire allegations when he shows up at their meeting point, skittish and nervous, clad in an oversized Metallica hoodie, drawn all the way over his head inspite of the sunny weather, dark shades obscuring his eyes.
He's cute, though. Sweet and almost shy without the distance and a screen between them, but still with that quick wit and edgy sense of humor Steve has come to like so much. A deep, rich voice that makes something inside Steve’s belly tingle, a hint of dark curls spilling out from his hood, and strong, calloused hands covered in rings, the edges of black tattoos disappearing into his sleeves. It makes Steve wanna take the stupid hoodie off him so that he can see all of him.
Which is exactly what he does when they take it to Kas's hotel room later that night. And God, the man is gorgeous. Dark, messy curls framing a pair of insanely dark brown eyes and the poutiest lips Steve has ever had the pleasure of kissing. An intricate web of tattoos that are just begging to be traced with his tongue.
Later, when they're lying together in an exhausted tangle of naked limbs and sweaty sheets, Steve snaps a photo and saves it as his phone background. He doesn't think much of it.
Until a week later, when Dustin opens his phone to read out a message while Steve is driving and starts shrieking so loudly they almost crash into a tree, bc why the fuck does Steve have a selfie of himself and Eddie Munson - frontman of the world famous metal band Corroded Coffin - on his phone and are you both naked, Steve???

Event : Trick or treat (trick/treat, food source! Bucky, half-vampire! reader, “You’re mine. It’s all fucking mine.”)
Tumblr media
You’ve been barely holding it together for weeks now.
You had been surviving on animal blood from clueless farmers and willpower alone. It wasn’t working anymore. You could feel the hunger taking over, the control slipping away.
The worst part of this was that Bucky saw it too. He was watching you fade into a shell of the daywalker you were, right before his eyes.
Bucky had tried everything to reach Eric Brooks. He left messages that grew more urgent, more frustrated. His pleas over the line were becoming more and more desperate. He’d even been willing to track Eric down himself, but the daywalker they called Blade was off the grid. And no synthetic serum that he concocted monthly was coming your way. Nothing to stave away your craving. Your starvation.
“You’re paler,” Bucky muttered one morning, worry carving new lines into his face. He traced his thumb along your cheekbone, tracing your hollowed cheeks. His heart broke, seeing the way your eyes had dulled from their usual brightness.
“I’m fine,” you managed to say, though even you could hear the weakness in your voice.
But it wasn’t the truth. Far from it.
The ache of starvation echoed through your ribs, a painful emptiness that you tried to hide.
You tried your best to push away the temptation— the constant, all-consuming urge to sink your teeth into the first human that came close enough.
And Bucky knew it. Every time his scent drifted toward you—warm, alive, so rich with the power of his super-soldier serum—it made you weak. Drove you insane.
You’d found yourself waking up in the middle of the night, your fangs bared, fists clenched in the sheets as you lay beside him, listening to his heart beat. You’d nearly lost it more than once.
You could feel your body betraying you, your gaze following the strong curve of his throat, watching his pulse with a raw, shameless hunger.
Bucky was keeping a close eye on you now, his touches tender, protective. He kept the distance if you said you needed it, but he lingered in your peripheral vision, making sure you didn’t die out of this hunger.
Tonight, after your latest mission, that final sliver of control was gone.
You’d been drenched in enemy blood, and that faint taste—a drop of your attacker’s blood splashed against your lips— sent your senses into a frenzy. You could still taste it, feel it. You had not tasted human blood in so long.
It was all you wanted, all you could think of. But not just anyone’s blood.
His. Bucky’s.
You stumbled back into the safehouse, body shaking, fangs clenched so tight it hurt your cheeks. You were woozy now. The last drop of your energy was gone.
You were starving.
Bucky was beside you in an instant, his hands steadying you.
“Hey. It’s alright,” he murmured, his grip strong, pulling you in. “We’re done. We’re safe.”
He hadn’t noticed your hands shaking or your eyes fixating on the bare line of his throat, following the rapid flutter of his pulse.
“No, Bucky, you don’t understand,” you whispered, as he helped you stumble into bed. “I can’t… I can’t be near you right now.”
“Tell me what you need,” he said, his voice steady, unflinching. His hand cradled your face, his thumb stroking your cheek. “Let me help.”
“Bucky…” you barely choked out, eyes widening at the implication of his words. “You don’t know what you’re saying.”
“I know exactly what I’m saying.” His voice was lower now, rough. His fingers tightened around your wrist as he sat next to you. “I can handle it.”
The words sank in, and then came a rush of dark and heady desire, the thrill of his offer— but how could you?
“No. It’s not safe,” You were shaking your head before, backing up. You wanted to run, to protect him from you. “I could hurt you. I could turn you…”
Of course, you knew you shouldn’t be able to turn him unless you wanted to, but with no control over your starvation, who knows if it could happen by accident— you’ve heard stories of it one too many times.
He let out a frustrated laugh, his grip firm. He leaned closer, his breath warm against your skin. “I’ve survived worse. And Hydra’s pumped my blood full of so much shit…” he murmured. His blue eyes pierced yours, as if daring you to look away, “… I don’t know if I can even be turned.”
“I can’t risk it,” you whispered, your voice shaking. The hunger was clawing at the edges of your mouth, threatening to consume you if you didn’t consume him.
“You’re half-vampire. I’m a super soldier. If anyone stands a chance at surviving this, it’s me.” he countered, his hand cupping the back of your neck. “Take what you need.”
The words shattered any scrap of control you had left.
The thought of him had filled every corner of your mind. The fear melted into a raw, primal need, your fangs aching as you gave in, surrendering to the urge that had been haunting you for weeks. His grip tightened on your waist, pulling you against him. He kissed your forehead, a soft, quiet invitation.
Your fingers twisted on his tactical undershirt as you lifted it up, throwing it on the floor. You dipped your head, lips grazing along his jaw, savouring the warmth.
His breath hitched as his hands roamed down your back, his heartbeat racing faster as you trailed down, your lips brushing the pulse on his neck.
The moment your fangs touched his skin, he let out a shuddering breath. His fingers tightened around you. You could feel the heat radiating off him, the power of his blood thrumming in your throat.
He tasted like fire and sunlight, flooding your senses in a dizzying rush. His blood was different—thicker, richer, carrying that unmistakable power of the serum.
A moan tore from his low in his throat, his hands tangling in your hair. His hands gripped you as you drank, his body arching into yours, his head falling back as the high hit him.
“Fuck…” he rasped, “don’t stop.” His voice was rough. His grip on you unrelenting, desperate, pulling you closer as if he couldn’t bear to let go. He was so potent that it drove you mad with need.
His body trembled against you, his breath coming in ragged gasps, a low groan slipping from his lips as his hands moved down, gripping the curve of your ass. The rush was mutual, his heartbeat thundering in your ears, his voice roaring with urgent pleasure.
When you finally pulled away, your tongue trailed over the wound.
He let out a broken sigh.
“More,” he murmured, pleading, “Please.”
It sent a jolt through you, fanning the flames of your hunger.
You felt his hands exploring your back, his breath hot against your skin, peppering kisses on your shoulders.
“Are you…” you started, voice barely a whisper. He cut you off, his lips capturing yours in a fierce, desperate kiss. His fingers slid through your hair.
The taste of his blood still lingered in your tongue.
“I’m fine,” he whispered against your lips, his voice soft but exhilarated. His fingers traced down your cheek, stopping at your jaw.
Before you knew it, Bucky’s lips were on yours again in a feverish kiss. His tongue searched for the remnants of himself in your blood, almost pleading. When he pulled back, his breathing was ragged, his eyes dark and filled with a wilderness you have never noticed before.
“Bite me again,” he whispered. His fingers tightened around your waist. He pressed his forehead against yours. “Please. I didn’t think… I didn’t know it could feel like that.” His voice dropped. “I’ve never felt anything so good.”
You blinked, caught off guard by the intensity of his words, of the way he was looking at you—like he’d tasted something addictive, something he couldn’t live without now.
His hands slid down to your thighs, pulling you against him, his body pulsing with that same primal energy that hummed through your veins now.
It was more than just hunger now. It was pleasure.
“Bucky…” You tried to keep your voice steady, but you eyed the open wound you had created. “If I do this again, I might…”
“Might what?” he murmured, one hand moving up to brush his thumb over your lips, “Hurt me?”
His mouth tilted into a slight, knowing smirk. You could sense how much he wanted it, how much he trusted you.
How much he knew you would never ever take more than he could give.
You whispered, unable to look away. “I might not be able to stop.”
But he only pulled you closer, “Then don’t.”
Bucky’s lips crashed against yours once again, his hands running feverishly over your body, fingers exploring, like he couldn’t get enough of you.
His fingers slipped under the hem of your shirt, tracing up your sides with insistent, deliberate touches. His body trembled beneath your touch, pleading for more. Your hands moved over to his chest as you followed the hard lines of his muscles and scars.
“Bite me,” he whispered, his voice rough, edged with a need that was eerily similar to your own. He tilted his head back, offering his throat, his fingers tangling in your hair, guiding you there with an urgency that sent a shiver down your spine. “Take what you want.”
Your hands roamed over his shoulders, gripping, pulling. Your lips hovered at the base of his throat.
You could feel his pulse fluttering beneath his skin, steady and strong, drawing you in like a hypnotic pattern.
Your teeth grazed his skin, and his metal hand slid down to grip your waist, pulling you so close it felt like you might sink into him entirely.
The second your fangs pierced his neck, he let out a low, guttural noise. His nails dug into your hips.
His blood rushed over your tongue —a heady, intoxicating rush that flooded your senses, burning and sweet.
It was an overwhelming heat spreading through you both at the same time.
His hands explored every inch of you, fingers tracing down your spine, gripping your shoulders, roaming across your back with an unrestrained passion.
Every drop of his blood bound you closer to each other, connecting you in a way that went beyond flesh.
He was gasping, his breath hitched against your earlobe.
His voice let a hoarse murmur of your name out of his lips, the quiet sounds of pleasure leaving his lips like a prayer.
He succumbed to the rush, the sheer ecstasy of it all.
“Don’t stop… please, don’t stop,” he begged, his voice filled with both desire and surrender. He was giving himself completely to you.
It was erotic, maddening, the rush binding you in a loop of pleasure and need. You could feel his every reaction, every small gasp, every desperate shiver. The sounds he made—raw, breathless—were as addictive as his blood, music to your ears.
You could feel his pulse slowing as you finally drew back.
Still, his hands pulled you closer, his eyes dark and hazy, beautifully vulnerable.
In that moment, with his blood coursing through you, his heartbeat was still a steady anchor.
It felt like the world had always been just the two of you. The intensity of the bond was stronger than any pull you’d ever felt before.
Bucky’s eyes were hazy, darkened with the remnants of that high, his lips parted, cheeks flushed, looking at you like he was seeing you for the first time.
“I’ve never felt anything like that,” he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. “It’s like… like you’re part of me now.”
You felt your chest tighten, his words resonating in your stomach. He smiled softly, running a hand through your hair, pulling you in for a slow, gentle kiss that left no doubt in your mind that he would want this again, that the need wasn’t yours alone anymore.
You held him close, savoring the warmth radiating from him. Whatever blend of serum— Hydra experimentation, maybe multiple super-soldier tests— that coursed through his veins had left him remarkably steady despite everything you’d taken. In fact, he seemed almost… blissful. Euphoric.
You gently eased him down, guiding him back against the pillows, brushing his hair from his face.
You were amazed at his strength. This would have killed a full grown adult, and here you were, marvelling at how peaceful he looked. His face was bright in the low light, eyes heavy-lidded, just slightly unfocused as he gazed up at you. Bucky’s hand slid up to yours, his fingers threading as he gave you a lopsided smile.
“Whatever Hydra did to me left some silver lining, huh?” he murmured, his voice thick with the remnants of that heady pleasure, a quiet wonder behind his tired gaze.
You gave his hand a gentle squeeze. “Maybe it’s the reason you’re okay, the reason you found it… pleasurable.” You hesitated, brushing your thumb along the edge of his jaw. “The reason I couldn’t turn you. Even if I wanted to.”
The thought filled you with relief. The fear you’d held for so long—that you’d lose control, that you’d harm him in a way that couldn’t be undone— it had finally eased. Whatever Hydra had broken in him had given you both something unbreakable. A chance at a bond you hadn’t thought possible.
He nodded, a small grin playing at the corner of his mouth. His thumb traced slow, comforting patterns against the back of your hand. “Makes us even more perfect for each other, doesn’t it?” His voice was steady with certainty, as if he’d known it all along.
“Perfect for each other,” you echoed, a warmth spreading through you as he pulled you to lay in the pillow next to him. He let his arm rest around your waist. You could feel his heart beginning to recover to a steady, unhurried rhythm.
His fingers traced idle circles on your skin. His voice was a low rumble that reverberated against your shoulder. “I don’t want you biting into anyone else"
You blinked, feeling his words settle deep in your core— primal. Almost jealous?
He brushed his lips along your collarbone, his voice dropping to a whisper. “Your bite is mine. And my blood is yours."
He lifted his head to meet your eyes, those stormy blue eyes dark with a possessive hunger that made your stomach flip.
“You’re mine,” you traced your hand over the bite mark you left. “It’s all fucking mine.”
"Fuck Eric and his subpar serum," he continued, "All you ever needed… is me.”
You were his in that moment, bound by more than hunger or desire—it was an instinct, a natural bond now—shared and undeniable.
"I mean it," he murmured, "If anyone else so much as tries, I'll… fuck, I don’t know what I’d do."
It wasn’t a threat. It was a promise.
“Just ours,” you promised.
Pressing a kiss to his temple and enjoying the silence, you finally muttered. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.” He let out a soft, contented sigh as his eyes finally fluttered closed.
For the first time in weeks, maybe months, you felt a peace. The super-soldier blood would be enough to last you weeks, maybe months. When the time would inevitably come that you’d need to feed again, you knew he’d be there, waiting.
You brushed a final, lingering kiss against his brow, murmuring a soft goodnight.
You both knew that the pieces of yourselves that had been broken and twisted by forces beyond your control had somehow, impossibly, found a way to fit. The bloodlust you’d carried, the pieces that Hydra had broken in him—they’d found a home together.

Getting too caught up in a relationship hadn’t been an issue since you’d had Theo, but before him, there was a reason why all your friends accused you of being a romantic. When you fell in love, you didn’t even think about the possibility of a break up but—
You really should have.
“Logan?”
Logan looked down at you, running his fingertips over your spine while you played with the dog tags around his neck.
“Yeah?”
“I have a question but you need to promise me you’ll be honest.”
A rumble of a chuckle vibrated in his chest, making you bite back a smile as you looked up at him, resting your chin on his chest.
“The last time you made me promise that, you ended up asking me what animal I thought I could beat in a fight.”
“That was for science.”
“How?”
“In case one day we decide to go on a safari and end up getting stranded in there.”
“That’s a possibility?”
“You can’t be too careful,” you said. “I’m used to thinking about every scenario—anyway, this is another question.”
“I’m listening.”
“So you have the super strength and all that…”
“Yeah.”
“What supernatural creature do you think you could take down in a fight?”
Logan blinked a couple of times. “That’s the question you want me to answer honestly?”
“Could you take down a werewolf?”
“We’re actually talking about this,” Logan muttered to himself. “Okay.”
“A werewolf,” you insisted. “Could you take down a werewolf?”
He took a deep breath, then shrugged his shoulders.
“I don’t think it’d be that difficult to take down a werewolf,” he stated and you hummed.
“A little cocky, but I’ll let it slide,” you said, laying your head on his chest again. “A vampire.”
“Please, vampires are lame,” he said with a grimace. “I could definitely take down a vampire, are you kidding?”
“You sound so sure of yourself that I’m half-tempted to ask if you’ve ever taken down a vampire.”
He let out a chuckle. “I’m not going to be beaten by a creature that can’t survive in the sunlight even if it’s hypothetical.”
“They are pretty powerful.”
“To repeat, they burn in sunlight. Doesn’t sound powerful to me.”
You clicked your tongue.
“How about a zombie?” you asked. “Could you take down a zombie?”
“Those things fall apart anyway, shouldn’t be difficult.”
“What if it’s a herd?”
“Same logic.”
“You’re telling me you could take down one hundred zombies?”
“That’s exactly what I’m saying.”
You hid your yawn behind your hand. “Um, mermaids.”
“Mermaids aren’t even scary.”
“No, not that type of—like those in Pirates of the Caribbean, have you watched that?”
“No.”
“I’ll put that on the list. It’s likeit’s like sirens, they lure you to the sea and then drown you.”
He paused for a moment, then hummed.
“Yeah, I think a mermaid could take me down.”
“Really?”
“I’m not good with water.”
“Can you swim?”
“I can swim but if I try to stay still in the water I sink,” he said slowly. “Because of the skeleton. And like I said, I’m not good with water.”
Something in his voice sounded distant so you decided not to push him. You were way too sleepy for a big conversation anyway, and you didn’t want to force him to talk about anything he didn’t want to talk about. Heaving a sigh, you nuzzled closer to him and he dipped his head to press a kiss on top of your head.
“How about you?” he asked. “What supernatural creature could you take down in a fight?”
“Do you know any creatures you can disarm with the power of speech?” you asked, making him let out a laugh.
“Not really.”
“I mean I think I’d have a better chance surviving a vampire than a werewolf,” you murmured, your voice already drowsy. “Werewolves have fewer weaknesses I think, and yes vampires can hunt you down but only in night time. Well, werewolves can only hunt you down during the full moon, there’s that but I feel like as far as supernatural creatures go…”
You didn’t even realize you were falling asleep.
Until a soaring pain pulled you out of it.
A scream left your lips as your eyes snapped open, your hand shooting to your other arm to grab at it. You sat up straighter in the bed, now realizing Logan was also awake and upright in bed, breathing hard and unsheathing his claws. Your name spilled from his lips in a whisper as you looked down at your arm, the blood pouring from the open wound, coating your hand and the sheets in red.
“I’m fine—” you managed to say breathlessly while Logan stared at you, complete terror in his eyes. “I’m fine it’s just…um—”
“Let me see,” he said in a low voice and you tried to blink back the tears with a grimace. Logan carefully lifted your arm, letting you see the three gashes through all the blood under the dim light of the moon coming from the window.
Shit.
“You need stitches,” Logan muttered as he grabbed his jeans to put them on. “We’re going to the hospital.”
“Stitches?” you repeated, looking down at your arm. “Are you sure?”
“Those are deep cuts,” his voice sounded a little distant again and you couldn’t tell it was because of the blood loss you were currently suffering from. He bunched up his white shirt to press it against the wound, making you hiss in a breath.
“I’m sorry,” he said as he swallowed thickly. “I’m so sorry.”
“What—no, it’s fine!” you said in a haste, trying to focus through the fire burning your arm. “It’s not your fault.”
“It is.”
“Logan—” you started but he went to grab your sweater off the chair at the corner of the room, then made his way back to you. He helped you get into it, then into your jeans while you held onto his shoulder trying to move your arm as little as possible.
“I can carry you—”
“Logan, it’s just my arm,” you assured him with a huff of a laughter. “I can walk. It’s totally fine.”
A shadow crossed his eyes, his jaw clenching tight.
“Right,” he muttered through his teeth. “Yeah. Let’s go.”
                                               *
You really, really hated hospitals. As a child, you were quite the troublemaker so you’d had your fair share of hospital visits, and each and every time was quite painful. Even now, as a grown up, you couldn’t help but feel tense whenever you had to go to hospitals.
And Theo’s very scary birth hadn’t helped the situation.
But if anything, this really wasn’t a big deal. A couple of stitches and you would be fine, but Logan looked much more tense than you were. He was completely quiet and withdrawn, standing in the corner of the hospital room like a guard dog while the doctor worked on your arm.
“So how did you get this, exactly?” she asked and you tried to smile at her.
“Oh, uh…I work in a diner,” you said. “And as it turns out, night shift and sharp objects aren’t a good combo.”
“I’d bet,” she said as she pulled back to look at the stitches, then took off her latex gloves. “Well the good news is, it’s a very clean cut so it’ll be much easier to heal. Keep it dry the first day, and after tomorrow you can wash around it with clean water twice a day.”
“Okay.”
“Take the antibiotics, apply the cream I prescribed and…well, be careful around knives?” she said with an assuring smile and you let out a small laugh.
“Noted. Thank you so much, doctor.”
“Have a nice night,” she said and walked past the cubicle curtain. You let out a breath, feeling around the gauze before lifting your head to smile at Logan.
“Hey,” you said. “You okay?”
For some reason, Logan couldn’t hold your gaze like he usually would, so instead he stole a look at you before fixing his gaze on the floor and nodded.
“Sure.”
“You don’t like hospitals either huh?” you asked, “I mean if I hate the smell, I can’t imagine how you feel with those enhanced senses of yours.”
Logan didn’t answer, instead he rushed to help you when you grabbed your coat so that you could put it on.
“Thanks,” you said and he pulled his hands back as if he could burn you if he kept them on you a second longer than he needed to. You pulled your brows together, but didn’t comment on it as you started walking beside him to get out of the building.
You didn’t really do well with quiet so the music coming from the radio and your nonsense chatter were the only things filling the silence in the car. Logan met your questions with occasional grunts to signal that he was listening and at best you got curt, one-word answers.
It was only when you walked into your apartment and Logan followed you like a quiet guardian that you turned to him, putting your hand on your hip.
“Logan.”
He closed the door behind him. “Hm?”
“Don’t get me wrong, I can talk until the sunrise but this is becoming a one-way street,” you told him. “Are you okay?”
He blinked a couple of times as if he couldn’t believe you were asking him that.
“Are you?” he asked back after a beat and you shrugged your shoulder.
“It’s not the first time I’m getting stitches,” you said. “And to be completely honest with you, after childbirth everything else they do to you in a hospital kind of pales in comparison. I’m fine.”
He snorted, then clicked her tongue. “Sure.”
“No seriously, it’s just stitches,” you said, walking to the kitchen to fill yourself a glass of water. “And you heard what the doctor said, it’ll heal pretty easily.”
You popped the painkillers in your mouth, then downed them with water before putting the glass back on the counter, then walked back to the hallway.
“If I go to sleep right now, I think I can survive on three cups of coffee instead of four tomorrow,” you joked with a grin, but he couldn’t even smile back, he just followed you to the bedroom. After helping you get into a comfortable oversized shirt, he took a step back as you sat down on the bed. You frowned, tilting your head.
“Are you coming?” you asked, motioning at the bed and Logan shook his head.
“No,” he said, his voice deep. Your frown deepened.
“What?”
“I should uh—” he motioned at the living room. “I’ll sleep on the couch. I’d still hear if you needed anything at night and it’d be safer.”
“Safer?” you repeated. “Logan, come on.”
“I can’t risk another nightmare and you ending up with…” he nodded at your arm and you scoffed a laugh.
“That won’t happen.”
“You don’t know that.”
Alright, this was strange.
Logan was never this curt with you. He wasn’t the most open person in the world, yes, but whenever he spoke to you, his voice would always be warm, melting your insides. Now he sounded way too distant, way too controlled.
You might as well have been speaking to a robot.
“Why are you punishing yourself right now?” you asked, looking him in the eye and something in his gaze shifted before his jaw clenched again, then he shook his head.
“Call my name if you need anything,” he said, walking out of the bedroom and you blinked a couple of times in confusion. A sigh left your lips and you rubbed at your eyes, then slowly lay down on the bed, grimacing when a sudden spark of pain shot through your arm. You put your pillow under your arm, then grabbed Logan’s pillow to bury your face into it, the pleasant smell of his cologne soothing your senses before sleep creeped up on you, pulling you into its warmth.
                                                 *
When you woke up, you were still groggy and your arm was throbbing. A grimace twisted your face and you took a deep breath, then pulled yourself up to sit up in the bed, and looked down at your arm, feeling around the gauze. It wasn’t extremely painful, but it still made sure to let you know it was there so you had a feeling you were going to have to be extra careful carrying plates at the diner, at least for a while. The delicious smell coming from the kitchen made you turn your head and you nibbled on your lip, then slowly pushed the covers off of you and got up from the bed to make your way to the kitchen.
“Hi stranger,” you said with a grin and Logan looked over his shoulder, then put the grilled cheese sandwich right next to scrambled eggs on the plate.
“Morning.”
“If breakfast is your way of apologizing for not sleeping next to me last night,” you said as he poured you coffee, then placed the cup on the small table next to the plate. “It’s the right path.”
A forced smile twitched the corners of his lips upwards before you sat down, then grabbed the sandwich to take a huge bite.
“Aren’t you eating?” you asked and he shrugged his shoulders.
“Not really hungry.”
You blinked a couple of times; that was new.
“Logan,” you said, clearing your throat before putting the sandwich down. “I think we should talk about what happened.”
“I agree, but after breakfast.”
You pulled your brows together in confusion, then shrugged with one shoulder before grabbing your coffee cup to take a big sip. Logan’s gaze didn’t leave you as if he was trying to take in the sight of you as much as he could, as if he was trying to burn this- you, this moment- into his mind. The look in his eyes wasn’t distant anymore but worse; it was just haunted. You could feel your stomach doing an unpleasant flip before you tried to shake off the chill running down your spine, then chewed your bite and cleared your throat.
“What time did you wake up?”
Logan shook his head slightly.
“Didn’t sleep.”
“At all?” you asked, gawking at him and he shrugged his shoulder almost nonchalantly.
“It’s fine.”
“Well it’s actually—” you started but were cut off when your phone started ringing in the bedroom.
“One moment,” you said and rushed to the bedroom to grab it off the nightstand, then answered it.
“Hello?”
“Hey love,” Stacey’s voice reached you. “Did I wake you up?”
“No no, I was already up,” you said and sat down on the bed. “What’s up?”
“Okay so, the boss is going to kill me, but…”
“Don’t say it.”
“I’ll be late again.”
You let out a small laugh. “Stace.”
“Okay I know what you’re gonna say but this time it’s totally not my fault.”
“No?”
“Well, my body decided to have a hangover after last night, so technically it’s not my fault.”
You hummed. “How much did you drink?”
“Well it was my friend’s birthday and Paul and his friends were at this bar and we decided to go have fun, and then my friend hooked up with Paul so I had to drink a lot to stop myself from visualizing what was going on in the bathroom.”
“I can imagine,” you said. “It’s fine. I’ll cover for you, no worries.”
“Ugh, you’re an angel and I love you.”
“Love you too Stace,” you said with a laugh, then hung up the phone and shook your head before making your way back to the kitchen.
“Sorry about that,” you told Logan and sat down. “It’s Stacey, you’ve met her.”
“You’re going to work today?” Logan asked. “Are you sure that’s a good idea?”
“Oh yeah, it’s totally fine,” you said. “I barely feel it to be honest, and I’ll be careful.”
“But…”
“Besides, I need to cover for Stace,” you said. “Apparently her friend hooked up with Paul—you remember our line cook Paul? He’s kind of a womanizer, I’m kind of surprised she and Paul never had a thing—they sure do flirt a lot but anyway, Stacey’s friend and he hooked up last night and knowing Stacey, she probably drank everyone under the table, and now she has a hangover. Shocking, isn’t it?”
Logan nodded slowly without pulling his gaze off of you.
“Did I tell you about how when Stacey and I first met, I ended up getting black out drunk?” you asked, biting into the grilled cheese sandwich. “It was my first day at the diner, and she convinced me to have a night out with her, and I swear to you, that girl is a goddamn sponge when it comes to alcohol. I was out a couple cocktails in, and she still had numerous shots and cocktails after. Julie was taking care of Theo that night, so I ended up sneaking into my own apartment so that he wouldn’t wake up, and rambled to Julie for like two hours straight about kittens, and then fell asleep watching cat videos.”
A small, sad smile curled Logan’s lips and you smiled back at him, then took another sip of your coffee and put your empty plate into the sink.
“Compliments to the chef,” you said with a grin despite the strange tension almost palpable in the kitchen. “If you ever get tired of going on missions and stuff, you could go into culinary world I feel like.”
He scoffed a laugh and you took a deep breath, then cleared your throat.
“So,” you said. “Can we talk?”
Logan swallowed thickly and nodded his head, his jaw clenching.
“Yeah.”
“I don’t blame you for what happened, at all,” you said. “It was an accident. You…you had a nightmare right?”
Logan paused for a moment, then shook his head. “That’s not an excuse.”
“Logan, that’s an accident,” you insisted. “You really shouldn’t blame yourself. I don’t.”
“You should.”
“Well then sucks to be you because I’m not gonna,” you said. “And unless you want to get separate beds like those weird couples in the 1950s, I don’t see how you’re planning on—”
“I think we should break up.”
That managed to shut you up mid-rant. Your eyes snapped up to his and for a couple of seconds, you could only gawk at him in complete silence, your throat getting tighter.
“…What?” you managed to rasp out, your voice lost somewhere in your throat and Logan crossed his arms, leaning his back to the wall.
“It’s going to be safer for you—”
“What are you even talking about?”
“Do you realize what could’ve happened?” he asked back, his voice tense. “We got lucky, if you can even call last night that.”
“Logan, it’s a goddamn scratch!”
“Yeah, this time!” he insisted. “This time it was only a scratch on your arm, what about the next time? What if it wasn’t your arm?”
“You cannot be serious,” you said, blinking back the tears as you shook your head. “You can’t.”
“I’m not going to have your blood on my hands,” he said, his eyes locked in yours. “I can’t hurt you. Not…not you. I was so wrapped up in this that I forgot how dangerous I could be for you—”
You let out a breath, running a hand over your face. “Don’t give me that speech again.”
“I’m not talking about some silly heartbreak,” Logan told you through his teeth. “I’m talking about life and death. You might see it as nothing, but we both know that it’s not nothing.”
You took a deep breath, forcing yourself to remain calm and sniffled, blinking back the tears again.
“I told you, I’m going to be the one who decides whether this relationship is dangerous or not.”
A dry laugh climbed up his throat.
“Do you have any idea what it would do to me if I…” he couldn’t even finish the sentence as if the mere thought was way too painful. “I can’t put you in danger.”
“You’re not putting me in danger,” you insisted. “You can hear my heartbeat, can’t you? You can smell it when I’m scared, when I’m—when I’m nervous. So tell me; last night, was there even a second that I was scared of you? Or this morning? Have I ever been nervous around you because I thought I was in danger?”
That made him pause for a moment before he shook his head. “No.”
“There you go. There’s your answer to your moral predicament.”
“That makes it even worse,” he rasped out and you frowned.
“How?”
“Because now it falls on me to do it,” he said. “And I can’t even fucking convince myself that you want it.”
You sniffled, shaking your head.
“Don’t do this,” your voice was a low whisper. “Please don’t do this.”
He stared at you, the look in his eyes so painful that for a moment it made you think you were somehow tormenting him with mere words before he clenched his teeth and stepped closer to you so that he could carefully wrap his arm around your waist. He moved slow as if he was terrified that he could somehow hurt you just by touching you and he dipped his head to press a kiss on top of your head as you sniffled, making his grip around your waist tighter for only a moment. You could feel him nuzzle into your hair and stay there completely frozen for a couple of seconds, as if he couldn’t bring himself to pull back.
“I’m sorry,” he managed to say after a beat and pulled back, then walked out of the kitchen. You heard the front door open before it closed, and as if on cue you fell on your knees, burying your face in your hands.
Then the sobs started.

Twigs and thistle snap under your feet as you walk through the fruit berring bushes, feeling the low laying leaves scratch your ankles.
You lost track of time and try to find your group, you probably should have skipped this hiking trip. Or at least wore shorts that covered your knees. The night drew upon your haggard form quite quickly, and the temperature dropped significantly.
You tried your best to find the light of the campfire you knew was there before you left.
After a few minutes of silent walking, besides your rummaging footsteps, you hear a loud thud somewhere behind you.
Your back straightened up like a rod, “Hello?” Your voice echos slightly, bouncing off the trees and up toward the stars. You prayed like hell it was one of your friends, coming to your salvation.
When nobody answered you after your third call out, you kept walking.
You heard another loud noise, as if a bolder dropped straight into a big pile of leaves, trembling the ground you stood on.
Frozen in fear, like a deer, you stand in the middle of a plot of dirt surrounded by the thick trees and shrub.
Your eyes open wide and your hands balled up in fists, you survey the area until you find the source of the sound.
A tree, wounded with a big chunk missing from the side.
It still stood tall, but reckoned to snap if it had been torn just a few more inches towards the unbent side.
You wondered who could have caused such destruction, or rather what.
You would find out soon enough, when you examine the tree to find streaks of blood scattered over earthen hide.
Following the trail you discovered the remains of some animal.
Well that’s what you think it was, it had been mangled and torn in such a brutal manner there was no way to identify exactly what it could have been.
As you tried your best to figure it out, a black shadow stalked you from afar.
Red orbs visible with stillness behind a tree, slowly growing larger in your view as it approached. The dimness of the atmosphere cloaked it well.
You stepped back, shoes muddied and heavy as you ran. You ran until you saw the nearest source of light, not bothered to look behind you to whatever was chasing.
Your labored breath became cold and dryed out your throat.
You ran and ran until you found a rather tall and lucrative looking building, somewhat of a mansion or moreso fitting of a castle.
Where the hell did that come from? You’ve never seen anything like it before in all the times you’d hiked in these woods.
You didn’t have much time to question it, but ran right to the door.
It was slightly crept open, so you figured it must have been some kind of open house or exhibit.
You rushed in, shutting the grand door.
As you caught your breath, you almost screamed when you heard a man’s voice right behind you. Who you somehow didn’t see when first stepping in, as if he’d appeared from thin air.
“Good evening.” The man said, burning candle in his hand.
You turned before he could even finish his greeting, a look of utter terror in your eyes.
“Are you well dear? You’re bleeding”
You didn’t even notice, but your knees had been scrapped and dripping blood halfway down your shins.
His eyes lit a shade of red barely able to be detected, or maybe it was just the reflection of the flame? You were quite scared and paranoid after all.
“Oh- I’m so sorry, The door was open and I didn’t know anyone was here- Someone was chasing me.”
“Oh my, are you alright? Come, let me offer you safety tonight.” He beckoned you to follow him, the rays of the small flame from the wax stick guiding you as he most graciously offered you a safe heaven in his home.
You looked around at the torchlit walls, it felt dark and cold throughout the entire place.
He walked you up 2 flight of stairs, his pace was quite constant throughout, almost like he was floating on each step.
You soon arrived into a hallway full of paintings adorning the walls, hand painted it seemed. So beautiful you had to point it out.
“You have a lovely home- is this artwork all yours?” You ask.
“Yes. I have quite a bit of spare time on my hands, so I much enjoy art.” He answered. The man’s voice was deep and mellow.
You walked down the red carpet hallway to the room all the way to the end, it seemed to be one of the many dozens.
There was a large canopy bed lined with dark lace and wooden upholstery.
“Please, spend the night here until morning. I wouldn’t want you to endanger yourself.”
Before you could even agree to his much eager assistance, he walked over to a box near the fireplace side table and pulled out several glass vials and bandages.
You walked toward him, and sat down per his instruction.
“Thank you- You’ve been so kind to me. Why?”
He chuckled, kneeling down to your level and applying an ointment to the cloth.
“Why? How ever could I turn away such a frightening young lady at my door. There are dangerous things in those woods.”
His tone sounded very concerned, but horrifyingly casual.
“What is your name Sir? If it’s okay to ask.”
“It’s perfectly okay. You can call me Blade.”
“Blade…Nice to meet you” What a strange name.
“Likewise. Now please, allow me.”
You nod, before he dabs a stinging oil to your knee. One by one.
He handles you well, gently.
His cold hands held your calves as he bandaged up your wounds.
He gets up from his knelt position, seeming even taller than he is when he stands from this view.
His long black hair was so dark it seemed blue, ends dipped in a color that resembled the shade of holly berries.
He sat down on the chair opposite of you, his face framed by the fireplaces glow behind him now.
“So tell me dear, what exactly happened?” His voice dripping in concern.
“I…really don’t know. I got lost hiking with my group and I tried to find them, but then I kept hearing weird noise in the forest and I thought it could be them looking for me. But-“
You stopped, reliving the sequence you just ran from.
He waited patiently for you to continue, his sculpture like face and rich eyes giving you their utmost attention.
“I saw blood, and a dead animal, I think a wolf or something could have done it. But there was a man- in the woods. It kept staring at me and getting close. So I ran for a while until I found your- castle?” You chuckle a little, the term house seemed beneath such a grand sanctuary.
“Maybe a werewolf?” The man said, giving you an amused chuckle. He waves his hand, “But anyways…That all sounds very frightening, I’m glad you found me.”
You nod, “As am I” you assure.
Whatever it was you are safe now y/n, very safe.” He took your hands into his own, giving them a positive squeeze with smiling eyes.
You nodded, but soon a hitch in your throat appeared and you felt like your stomach got kicked.
“I never told you my name.”
A smile appeared on his face, “Smart girl.”
His eyes glowed the same shade of sanguine you saw in the forest, chasing you. You could see two sharp teeth sticking past his upper lip, his smirk revealing to you his true identity.
You quickly get up, startled enough to drop the chair behind you and fall back onto the bed.
“Who are you-“ You scream, tears forming in the corners of your eyes as he stood slowly and walked toward you.
“I already told you that, didn’t I?.”
He cupped your face, making you look straight up at him.
“Please- don’t hurt me.” You plead, tears now falling from your eyes and staining your cheeks.
“Hurt you? I just tended to your wounds, why do you think I’ll harm you dear?” His voice sounds even lower at this point, and his eyes fiery.
You kick back your leg and retreat further back into the bed, almost yelling, “You’re a vampire-!”
“And your blood smells so deliciously decadent…I almost couldn’t resist tasting you a moment ago.” He crawls toward your frame, his large hands making deep prints into the mattress.
His eyes seemed to glow in a pattern, the color deepening snd glowing slowly as he got toward you.
Your body felt weak, as if magnetic to him. Almost willing to amuse him.
“What are- what are you doing to me-“
“I haven’t done a thing. I’m just increasing the magnitude of your emotions dear. Whatever you feel at this moment is your utmost desire spilling out every orafice in your body.”
You felt your mind whirl, your body get hotter with every inch he grew closer to you.
He soon wrapped his palms behind your back, seating you in his lap.
You felt an animalistic urge settle upon you, breathing even heavier than when you ran away from him earlier.
He grazed his hand up and down your legs, taking off your shoes and socks, rubbing the sore soles of your feet.
“You must get more comfortable my dear, you seem less tense, good.” He says, slowly pressing his lips to yours as you hold his shoulder.
His tongue found yours, warm in contrast to the rest of him; tangling itself in a waltz.
He nipped at your bottom lip and pricked it, tugging at it and licking the blood that drew from it with his tongue. “Virgin blood…You are truly magnificent.”
You felt your face heat up more than your body, his presence making you feel an insatiable hunger for lust.
“Blade- please…I feel-“
“Concupiscent? I can tell, y/n”, he said, his hand trailing up to your thigh and rubbing your heat through your shorts.
You roll your hips at his touch, a small mewl escaping you.
He picks you up and plops you down further back on the bed, your head hitting the pillow softly as his large frame hovers above your body.
“I can be very thorough in relieving your…lustful desires.”
“Please- yes…” You softly gasp, feeling his lips close to your neck before they kiss you.
Hungrily he rips your top apart, as if it were made of paper.
You quiver at his touch, fear set aside and now unrelentingly yearning for all of him.
“You need not worry…I will take, good, good care of you.”
You nod, watching him soon trail his lips down to your exposed chest.
He circles the tip of his tongue around your nipple, taking it entirely in his mouth to hear you moan out; the other in his hand, his hips grinding to meet your heat as he grinds into you through the fabrics keeping you apart.
“You are a marveling beauty.” He adds, his hands finding the hem of your shorts and pulling them right down, along with your panties.
He pulled back, holding your legs apart and examining every part of you, taking in the view of his next meal.
He watched you shyly try to look away, smirking when he saw how utterly messy your cunt was, glistening and dripping juices down to the sheets.
He didn’t waste much time after that, kissing your inner thigh before planting one on your clit.
He made the most deep, sinful noises as he lapped at your cunt, his eyes not breaking contact with yours as he inserts two long and slender fingers inside you.
He seemed to almost gain more pleasure from sucking on your clit than you did, almost.
You reacted like a beast in heat, legs trembling and hands gripping the sheets as your thighs pressed the sides of his face to pull him deeper into you.
You came faster than ever before. Blade sucked every drop out of you, wiping the corner of his mouth before grabbing your wrists and pinning them above your head.
He kissed you once more, not biting this time. Yet.
Without giving you time to recoup- he shed his clothing and slapped his cock on your folds, slipping it inbetween them to get it ready for you.
“I need to taste you dear…truly taste you.”
“M-my blood?” You ask, feeling even weaker and more lustful.
“Yes” he whispers close to your lips, “You will let me drink from you, won’t you, my little temptress?”
You nod- pulling him close to you as if you’d wither without him.
“You are such an eager woman. I quite like that.” He says, before pushing his entire length deep, deep inside you. You groan, eyebrows furrowed harshly as you experience such a reveling sensation.
“Fuck-“ He breathes, “You’re so tight…do you ache for me so deep? You’re sucking me in so much…such a naughty whore you are.”
He moved in and out slowly, making you feel every vein and along his shaft.
You could feel his breathe on your chest, and soon his teeth.
He sinked them into the top of your breast, sucking the blood out of you ferociously as he rutted inside you faster now, making you cry out as tears rolled down your face in pleasure.
“Ah- Blade!…”
“It will only hurt for a moment…I’ll fuck you so deeply you won’t dare to forget it.” He spouts, his mouth dripping with your blood before going back in to take more.
You quickly notice a mirror behind Blade, you haven’t noticed it before but he wasn’t in it of course. All your blurry vision could attest was your spread apart pussy, gaping with a thick hole as you watched yourself be torn apart in the most delicious way, blood dripping down to your nipple, soon to be licked up from Blade tongue, as your body moved with the rhythm of the bed; snapping out of your trance once you heard his suckling.
He whimpered and moaned as he drank, gripping your ass harder as he thrusted into you at a pace you could nearly pass out from.
So much of your cum created a ring around his cock, squelching noises filled the room and muffled the crackling of the wood in the fire.
His grasp on the fat of your ass deepened, possessiveness overwhelming him.
“You’re mine now. You don’t belong in those treacherous woods, you will stay right here.” He commanded, imaging all the ways he’d ruin your perfect pussy, wrapped around him so well he was convinced you were destined to take him, to be his and his only to fuck, eat, and fill.
In response to his hold, you clenched your walls around him tighter until you felt warm fluid rush into your womb, nodding to his wishes profusely as you release together in the romantically gothic room, your breath huffing as you came down from an intense high.
Blade on the other hand, well the stamina of a vampire is quite impressive.

When Steve Harrington invites you to a birthday party, he fails to mention it’s for a four-year-old.
The tiny trailer is decked out in decoration. A fusion of black and rainbow, of bats and unicorns, of vampires and Tickle Me Elmo — like no one could land on a singular theme.
Steve guides you into the home with a golden hand on the small of your back, his other clutching a sparkly black bag with Count von Count’s face on it. You stop very suddenly in your tracks. Happy 4th Birthday, Maeve! reads a handpainted sign draped beneath the ceiling.
You become very hyperaware of the whiskey bottle in your right hand, something you figured would be the most sufficient thing to gift someone you’d never met before. You just hadn’t expected the stranger to be a child.
“What the fuck, Steve?” you bite under your breath, glaring at the boy beside you. “I thought you said this was your friend’s birthday party?”
“Maeve is my friend,” he answers with a stupid shrug. “Though, to be fair, I did say it was my friend’s kid’s birthday party.”
He most definitely hadn’t.
“What the hell— I brought booze!”
“That’s okay,” assures a wild-haired boy with a pretty pink grin as he walks up to the two of you. The friend in question.
Eddie Munson wears a silver ring on each finger and a thick leather jacket despite the warming spring season. His laughter sounds like sunshine. His smile is bright enough to give you a goddamn sunburn.
“Maeve’s been getting presents all day— It’s about time someone got somethin’ for me,” he jokes.
You grimace while the two boys laugh. “Sorry…” you murmur as you pass him the bottle, shrinking inside yourself in an attempt to hide from the moment. I’m never letting Steve convince me to leave the house again, you think to yourself.
Eddie shrugs. “Don’t worry about it. Seriously. I’ll go stick this in the kitchen— Make yourself at home.”
Your racing heart quells only slightly. He must be more of a good guy than Steve made him out to be, if he’s willing to keep you around after you brought booze to his daughter’s party. Though, you’ll contend that you were only half at fault for this.
Steve bites back a chuckle as he walks you to the back door, standing with you on the little wooden deck lined with sparkly streamers. There’s a picnic table off in the distance, covered in a bat-patterned cloth and set with Sesame Street-themed utensils. A small crowd of teenagers gather around it, and a couple of their parents, you figure.
The spring breeze only half soothes your burning skin.
“See?” he lilts, trying not to laugh and failing. “He likes you already—”
You swat his chest with a less than kind hand.
“Ow!”
“I’m gonna fucking kill you, Harrington, I swear to—”
“What’s your favorite animal?” a tiny voice asks from behind you, a smidge too loud and confusing their R’s with W’s.
You look over your shoulder, face flooded with horror. A kid with wild chocolate hair stands at less than half your height, wearing the tiniest Ozzy Osbourne shirt you’ve ever seen beneath a rainbow tutu. You don’t know what to say, so you just blink at it for a moment — at her.
“Hey, Maeve,” Steve greets with a curt wave.
The girl beams, missing her very front tooth. “Hi, Uncle Steve!”
“Wha— Huh?” you stammer mindlessly. ‘Cause you’re not exactly the best at talking to people your own age, let alone to children. They’re too honest. And too loud. And beyond still feeling like a kid yourself most days, you don’t have anything in common with them.
“What’s your favorite animal?” Maeve repeats in the same inflection, smiling until a dimple appears in her freckled cheek. “Mine’s a Hefflelump.”
“Hef… Hefflelump?” you echo quietly, only vaguely registering Steve’s laughter as he disappears through the screeching screen door, leaving you all alone. You’re definitely killing him for this.
“Yeah… From Winne the Pooh!” she says like it’s obvious.
“Oh… Okay…”
“What’s yours?”
You stumble over your words to find an answer. “Um… Uh… I don’t— I don’t know…”
“Everyone has a favorite animal,” she scoffs like some kinda critic with a speech impediment. She tilts her chin to her chest and peers up at you with a pair of doe eyes, so brown they’re almost black. You shift your weight on your feet, visibly uncomfortable beneath her unwavering stare.
“Maybe like a… A blobfish, or something?” you shrug.
Her tiny face screws in disgust. “Gross,” she spits.
You flinch. “What? Why is that gross?” you retort, crossing your arms over your chest, more defensive than you’d like to admit.
“They’re so ugly,” Maeve giggles.
“Why?” you squint. “‘Cause they look differently than we do?”
“No!” she laughs, loud and golden, just like her father. “’S ‘cause they’re so slimy.”
“Well— You— You’re slimy,” you stammer.
The wild-haired girl grins with all her baby teeth (well, besides the front one, anyway). “You’re slimy!” she echoes with a mischievous twinkle in her chocolate eyes.
The screen door squeals open again, the rusted hinges screeching in protest. “Who’s slimy?” a male voice questions from behind you, a smile audible in his voice.
“You are!” you and Maeve chorus at the same time.
You whip your head around a second too late. Your heart drops to your ass when you find Eddie lingering in the doorway behind you. You stumble over your words while Maeve giggles. “Sorry! I thought— I thought you were Steve! I’m so sorry!”
A chuckle sputters from Eddie’s mouth. He’s nearly as grieved by it all as you are. “He just left,” he tells you with a lopsided smile, cocking his thumb over his shoulder. “I think he’s helping Wayne out front. They’re putting together Maeve’s d-o-l-l-h-o-u-s-e.”
His eyes flit upward as he tries hard to spell the word correctly. Upon your confused look, he says, “I can’t say it, or she’ll know what I’m talking about.”
“Right,” you nod.
Eddie crouches and holds his arms out for his daughter. Maeve’s tiny feet patter against the wooden deck as she rushes to him. He huffs at the weight of her — heavier than he remembers and getting bigger every day (which is weird ‘cause she was a newborn, like, a week ago). He grunts when he picks her up, propping her weight on his side.
“What were the two of you talkin’ about, then?”
“Blobfish!” she shouts with a beam.
Eddie breathes out a faint chuckle and turns to you. “She’s forcin’ you to pick a favorite animal, huh?” he wonders, then laughs a bit louder when you nod. “Yeah, she’s been doing that all day. It’s her new thing,” he says, nuzzling the tip of his nose into her curls.
Realization seems to him then, and his brows furrow when he looks at you. His face, all twisted in confusion, is an exact replica of Maeve’s.
“Wait— Your favorite animal is a blobfish?”
“That’s what I said!” the girl laughs.
You shift your weight on your feet and cross your arms over your chest. “I’m… feeling very judged in this moment…” you murmur under your breath, only half joking.
“I think that’s the most creative answer we’ve had yet, huh, Mae?” Eddie chuckles.
You scoff. “Well, I think Hefflelump’s pretty creative considering—”
The boy clears his throat, seeming to sense the rest of your sentence. His eyes widen in a lighthearted glare before he nods to the girl on his hip. Only then do you realize the words sitting on the tip of your tongue. You swallow them down immediately.
“Right…” you nod instead. “Nevermind…”
“Here—” Eddie huffs as he sets the girl down again. “—Go find Aunt Robin, alright? She’s probably decorating your cake as we speak.”
Maeve rushes off at the word cake, tottering on lanky, ungraceful legs. The two of you watch her go and linger in an awkward silence. Neither of you is quite sure how to make conversation without her there. You decide to start with an apology.
“I’m, uh, I’m sorry, by the way. Again,” you laugh awkwardly at yourself, scratching at the back of your neck. “I’m not… I’m not really… great with kids. If you couldn’t already tell.”
Eddie grins, pink and lopsided and pretty. You don’t feel deserving of the warmth swimming in his button eyes, glimmering beneath an early setting sun. “It’s okay. Seriously. You should’ve seen Robin and Steve the first time they met her— they were hopeless. And now they’re… Sort of alright, I guess.”
You force a faint chuckle. “Yeah, I’m— I’m just not used to being around them, I guess. I don’t even think I’ve talked to a kid her age since, like, elementary school.”
“I was the same way. ’Til I had Maeve and all…”
“Well, I couldn’t tell,” you assure him with a wavering smile. “You’re, like, a total pro. You’re great with her.”
He ducks his head to hide his blushing cheeks. The apples of them speckle warm and pink beneath the weight of your compliment.
“Well… thank you,” he says, deflecting from your praise with that stupid, posh, D&D accent he always uses when he gets nervous. You don’t notice him grimacing at himself because you’re still stewing in your own embarrassment.
“And sorry for the booze, too. I seriously didn’t mean to bring— I mean, Steve didn’t even tell me that—”
“Stop apologizing,” Eddie chuckles warmly. “That part’s not your fault, alright? I don’t know if you know this or not, but your boyfriend’s a total idiot.”
Your face screws up. “Oh, he’s not— Steve’s not my boyfriend.”
The boy’s smile ebbs. “No?”
“No. No way!” you laugh before you mean to. “I’m pretty sure I’m just, like, his replacement best friend since Robin started dating Vickie.”
Wide-eyed and distantly relieved, Eddie stammers like a teenage boy. “Oh. Right. That’s… That’s cool. Yeah.”
“Yeah…” you echo.
“Well, uh— I’m gonna see if Wayne wants any help,” he blurts despite knowing he’s been barred from doing handy work since he nearly drove a nail through his own finger. He just needs a way out, lest he keep stumbling over himself and lose all of his cool points with you.
He saunters backward through the opened door and nearly trips over the frame.
You bite back a laugh. He forces a wavering smile.
“But, um, I was thinkin’ about cracking open that bottle you brought. You know, after Maeve’s in bed and everything. If you— If you wanna hang around that long…”
The silence makes him as nervous as a teenage boy, all writhing and uncomfy in his skin. You nod in agreement, and his sparkling chest swells all over again. “Yeah,” you reply, lip quirked in a poorly hidden smile. “Sure. I’d— I’d like that…”
He smiles, all proud of himself. “Good. That’s… That’s good,” he stutters, then swallows hard and scurries off before you change your mind.
Before he shuts the squealing screen door behind him, you hear Robin’s voice exclaim loudly from the kitchen. “What the hell’s a blobfish?!”

Three times you take care of Astarion and one time he takes care of you
[ao3 link]
You were a caring person. That much was clear from the first moment you let him drink off you, almost to death. It was also clear when you tried to cool Karlach down with a rainy spell so you could hug her. Or give Gale every piece of magic item in your inventory so he could eat it. You enjoyed taking care of people.
However, taking care of Astarion wasn't an easy task. As much as you wanted to be there for him and help him, the vampire was a difficult person to handle. He was like a wild animal, constantly on edge and ready to lash out. It soon became clear that Astarion wasn't used to being on the receiving end of caring. Wasn't used for someone to care at all.
So you went little by little, as to not startle him. You started by simply spending time with him. Patiently listening to his endless complaints and blatant flirting, offering a sympathetic ear and a playful response, respectively. It was clear that Astarion enjoyed your company, even if he didn't always show it. He would often make snarky comments or sarcastic remarks, but you could tell that deep down, he appreciated having someone around.
Of course, you let him drain you dry every night, which honestly left you sick and tired through the day, but it was worth the glint in his eyes and the way his cheeks seemed to light up as if he was alive again.
You couldn't help but notice; he always had a book in his hands. Whether you were at camp or out on an expedition, he was constantly reading. So you began collecting every book you stumbled upon and leaving them on his bedroll for him to find when he returned to his tent. No matter the genre- whether it was a history book, poetry or even erotica- you always gifted them to him.
The first times, he would search around the camp in confusion, wondering who had left them there for him. But after the fifth or sixth book, the vampire's expression would light up with a secretive smile as he eagerly flipped through the pages. It warmed your heart to see him so engrossed in a story, his curiosity evident in his shining eyes. However, you kept your identity hidden: if he knew it was you leaving the books, he might become wary again and you didn't want to risk it after coming this far. This went on for a few weeks until one day, as you were leaving another book, a voice called out from behind you.
"Well, hello there. I suppose the game is up."
You froze, the book still in your hands, as you turned around to see Astarion standing with a sly smile on his face.
"I... erm, I just found these books lying around and thought they might be yours," you said lamely.
He smirked, eyes narrowing as if he saw right through your excuses. "Funny, I don't recall owning any of these books you are holding."
You blushed, avoiding his gaze. "Oh...I must have made a mistake then."
But Astarion just shook his head, walking closer to you until he was within arm's reach. "You think I don't know what you're doing? You haven't exactly been subtle, sweetheart."
You felt your face heat up even more, the blush reaching your ears.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," you said, trying to sound nonchalant but failing miserably as your voice came out a little squeaky.
Astarion chuckled. "Well, if I didn't know any better, I might suspect that you were trying to seduce me. If you wanted to come into my tent, all you had to do was ask, my dear."
"I-It... It's not like that!" you sputtered out, trying to avoid eye contact with him. "I just thought... you like reading."
"Oh, I do," Astarion said in a low voice. "Among other things."
You swallowed hard as your mind raced. Had he just... Was he implying what you thought he was implying?
"I-I should really get going," you said quickly, turning away from him and almost tripping over your own feet.
But before you could run off, Astarion's hand closed around your wrist, pulling you back towards him. "Wait," he said, his eyes locked onto yours. His expression was a bit serious, a stark contrast to the playful persona he usually wore. "Thanks for the effort. It's almost sweet, doing all this for me."
The two of you stood there for a moment longer before Astarion spoke up again.
"Perhaps we could have a little fun and read them together sometime?" he suggested with a raised eyebrow.
You smiled shyly at him, feeling butterflies in your stomach at his offer.
"I... I would love that," you said, trying to keep the excitement out of your voice.
Astarion's smile widened and he released your wrist. "Wonderful. I look forward to it, my dear. And I do hope the next book is a good one."
You walked away from his tent, trying to convince yourself that the thumping of your heart was simply due to your love for taking care of others.
With each passing day, your meetings with Astarion in his tent became a familiar routine. You allowed him to feed on you, then spent time reading together from the books you had collected for him. It was also a chance for you to study him closely, searching for any other way to care for him. One night, as he read aloud to you, the soothing sound of his voice lulled you into a peaceful slumber, curled up on his bedroll next to him. The next morning, as sunlight flooded the tent, you woke up to find Astarion already awake, holding a book in his hands.
"Good morning," you said, rubbing the sleep off your eyes. "Sorry I fell asleep here."
Astarion raised an eyebrow at you. "No need to apologize. I must say, you look quite lovely when you're sleeping. Although you do not sound that lovely, but well, we can't all be perfect."
You rolled your eyes, then sat up stretching your limbs. As you glanced around the room, your eyes landed on the book in his hand - the one you two had been reading last night. It was almost finished now.
"Wait, you haven't slept?"
He let out a soft laugh.
"My dear, I am an elf. We do not sleep; we trance. And to answer your inquiry, no, I did not partake in that either. It's not something I typically find enjoyable."
You looked at Astarion with confusion and concern. "But... why? Don't you need to rest?"
He gave a casual shrug. "If I enter into a trance, the only memories accessible to me are my own life experiences. And let me tell you, those are not pleasant memories."
"But isn't there a way for you to... just rest? Without the memories, I mean?" You asked.
Astarion smirked, his eyes still fixed on the book in his hands. "Why bother learning how to sleep when I can trance instead?" he quipped "Trancing has always been my preferred method anyway."
You couldn't imagine what it was like, being forced to relive your trauma over and over again every night.
"I’m so sorry, Astarion," you whispered, your voice barely above a hush.
He waved his hand dismissively. "Oh well," he said, "It's all in the past now, isn't it? Just another part of who I am."
You nodded slowly but you couldn’t shrug off his words as easily as he could. You recalled the way he looked when he was trancing - peaceful and unguarded. It was hard to imagine that behind those serene features he was being haunted by his memories.
The day was a blur, as you struggled to maintain a cheerful facade and engage in small talk. However, Astarion's words continued to haunt you. As the evening progressed and you both followed your usual nightly routine, you made a decision to do something.
"Astarion." He turned to you, a curious look on his face. You took a deep breath, trying to gather your courage."I think we could try something different tonight. Do you trust me?"
Astarion looked at you as though surprised by the question, a hint of amusement twinkling in his eyes.
"Trust is a strong word, darling," he replied, a smirk forming on his lips. "But yes, I suppose I do trust you."
"Good," you said, trying to keep your voice steady despite the pounding of your heart.
You cleared your throat as you settled into the bedroll, signaling for him to join you. Astarion raised an eyebrow but followed your lead, settling into the bedroll beside you.
"Rest your head on my lap," you instructed softly
Astarion's eyebrows shot up once more, but then he shrugged and followed your instructions. He cautiously rested his head on your lap, surprising you with his compliance. Sensing the tension in his body, you refrained from touching him yet, and instead reached for your bag. He watched you curiously as you took out a small jar.
"What's that?" he asked, his eyes glinting with intrigue.
"It's a special blend of herbs and oils that I use to help me relax and sleep better," you explained, opening the tub and taking out a small dab of the mixture. "Can I touch you?"
He seemed to hesitate for a few seconds, before he answered, "Yes you may."
You rubbed the mixture between your fingers before gently massaging it onto his temples and forehead. You could feel him tense under your touch, probably not used to this kind of contact.
"Does it help?" he asked quietly, his eyes closed.
"It helps me," you replied honestly. "I'm not sure if it'll have the same effect on you, but I figured it's worth a try."
He nodded, a small smile forming on his lips. "Thank you."
"You're welcome," you replied, smiling back down at him. "Now just close your eyes and try to relax. Let your thoughts drift you away."
Astarion blinked, his long lashes fluttering against his pale skin. He looked at you with a mix of surprise and skepticism, clearly hesitant to follow your lead. But he didn't protest, didn't push your hands away. Instead, he nodded slightly, closing his eyes once more.
You watched him closely, noticing how the tension in his jaw gradually subsided and the creases on his forehead smoothed out little by little. You continued gently massaging his temples, the rhythmic movements soothing both of you.
The change in his demeanor prompted a fluttering sensation in your stomach that you hastily shrugged away, reminding yourself not to read too much into it.
Eventually, you started running your fingers through his hair and Astarion let out a contented hum, adjusting himself slightly in response. You could have sworn he was purring, and it seemed like he had fallen into a deep slumber.
By the end of the night, you were asleep with your hands still gently stroking his head.
From that moment, a subtle tension seemed to linger between the two of you. It was unspoken, but present every time you were alone together. Astarion would ask for your help to fall asleep each night, and without fail, he would drift off quickly and sleep soundly. You loved watching him relax under your touch, feeling his body go limp and his soft sleepy sounds. But more than that, you enjoyed drifting off with your fingers tangled in his soft curls, your heart feeling light and at ease in his presence.
However, the perils of your journey became worse as your party reached the Underdark. Your main concern became avoiding attacks from shadow monsters, leaving little room for any attention to whatever connection was building between you two.
One night, as you approached Astarion's tent, you noticed him sitting cross-legged in front of his small mirror. His brow was furrowed and his expression was one of deep contemplation. You hesitated for a moment, unsure if you should disturb him or not.
"Looking at something?" he suddenly asked.
You jumped slightly at the sound of his voice, not expecting him to break the silence.
"How did you see me?"
"The only benefit to a mirror when you have my condition. It doesn't quite make up for the lack of a reflection, mind you."
And then it clicked. He couldn't see his own reflection. Why hadn't it occurred to you before?
"Do you miss it? Your own face, I mean."
Of course he did, what a stupid question.
"Preening in the Looking Glass? Petty vanity?" Astarion scoffed, "Of course I miss it."
Astarion's tone was bitter, his gaze fixed on his reflection-less face in the mirror. You sat down next to him, mirroring his position.
"I've never even seen this face not since it grew fangs and my eyes turned red"
So he hadn't seen his face in over 200 years. You couldn't imagine what that must feel like. To not have seen your own face in over two centuries. To be unable to remember how it even looked like.
After your conversation, ideas began to circulate in your mind. You considered asking Gale to use his magic to transform your appearance to match his, but that would only be temporary. You wanted something more permanent that would allow him to admire his own face whenever he pleased. The thought of enchanting his mirror so that it would reflect his image crossed your mind. Surely there had to be a spell for that. However, time was limited and you were unsure how much you could dedicate to the task anyway. Then, an answer presented itself at the Last Light Inn when you encountered an artist on your way.
"How long would it take for you to paint a portrait?"
"Like, a month?"
"I will pay you triple if you finish it in a week."
Although the artist was hesitant, the promise of triple payment was too tempting for him to turn down. And so, a week later, you returned to Astarion's tent with a canvas in hand. He arched an eyebrow in question.
"What is this?" Astarion asked, gesturing towards your offering. "Another gift? At this rate, my tent will be overflowing with your generosity."
You grinned and gently set the canvas on the floor in front of him. A delicate, sheer fabric covered its surface.
"This is a special one, though."
His eyes glossed over with a mixture of curiosity and amusement as he leaned forward to unwrap it. An expectant silence filled the tent, the only sound being the rustle of fabric as he carefully lifted the veil. The sight that greeted his gaze left him momentarily speechless - an exquisitely painted portrait of a man, elegantly handsome with sharp, angular features and piercing red eyes.
"What is this?" Astarion asked with a chuckle, clearly admiring the artwork."You've given me a portrait of a handsome stranger? How thoughtful, dear. But the quality could be better, honestly."
Your heart pounded in your chest as you whispered, "That's you," holding your breath for his reaction.
There was a tense moment of silence as Astarion stared at the portrait. You couldn't quite read his expression, and your heart started to race with anxiety. Had you made a mistake? Was he displeased with the gift? Maybe you were intruding too much in his personal life...
After what felt like an eternity, Astarion finally spoke. "This is... me?" His voice was barely above a whisper, almost disbelieving.
You nodded, tears welling in your eyes.
"Yes. I wanted you to have something that would allow you to see yourself again, so I asked an artist at the Last Light Inn to paint you."
His fingers traced over the painting, brushing lightly over the likeness of his own face, his own eyes - red now - but still his. He took a step back as if he'd been hit, staggering slightly. There was a moment where he just stood there, staring at the man in the portrait - at himself.
"Is this... is this how I look now?" He asks, voice barely audible.
You swallowed hard and nodded, "Yes."
"I..." he started, then stopped. Shaking his head, he turned towards you with a conflicted look in his red eyes. "I... don't know what to say."
"You don't have to say anything," you told him reassuringly, reaching out to squeeze his hand.
He looked at you for a long moment before nodding and squeezing your hand back. A tear trickled down his cheek and he quickly wiped it away, but not before you saw it glistening in the dim light.
"Thank you," he said finally. It's quiet, almost lost in the silence of the tent, but the sincerity in his voice is unmistakable. You smiled at him, feeling a wave of relief and happiness wash over you.
"You're welcome," you whispered softly.
Astarion's crimson eyes shimmered with tears as he gazed at the painting, struggling to maintain his composure. You gave him a reassuring smile before turning around to give him some space to process his thoughts and feelings. But just as you were about to leave, he reached out and took hold of your hand, stopping you.
"Don't go" he said solemnly. "Please don't go... I'd like to... I want..." slowly, he stepped closer to you and wrapped his arms around you in a tight hug.
You were taken aback for a moment but then quickly melted into his embrace. After a moment of silence, the vampire spoke softly, his voice raspy.
"I don't know... how to repay you, I..." he murmured into your hair.
"You don't have to," you whispered back, feeling overwhelmed by his sudden display of emotion.
After what felt like an eternity, Astarion finally pulled away slightly so that he could look into your eyes. His eyes were moist with tears, but they also held a glimmer of hope, happiness. You couldn't help but smile back at him, feeling a wave of warmth spread throughout your body from the simple touch. And in that moment, you realized just how deeply you had fallen for this man. It wasn't just a matter of caring anymore; you were deeply and irrevocably in love with him.
And you would tell him, you decided. You would let him know that he didn't owe you anything because you had acted out of love. Your heart pounded in your chest, adrenaline rushing through your veins. His eyes were still on yours, searching, questioning.
"Astarion...," you started, your voice soft and filled with emotion, "I need to tell you... I..."
However, just as you were about to spill your heart, the sound of someone calling for you pierced through the quiet atmosphere of the tent. With a sigh, you reluctantly untangled yourself from Astarion's arms.
"I'm afraid that's my cue."
He gave a silent nod, his eyes reflecting a mix of conflicting emotions.
"Sure, sure. Wouldn't want to interrupt your exciting duties as our esteemed leader."
You rolled your eyes with a small smile and got out of the tent. However, there was a feeling of disappointed and regret for not being able to express your true feelings to him. You made a mental note to tell him later when you had the chance.
But that night, Astarion didn't come to his bedroll. Nor the next one. Or the one following. You sensed he was putting some distance between you as if something had changed. He continued with his blatant flirting and sly remarks, of course. They just seemed... mechanical. Every time you tried to talk about your feelings, he would deflect or change the subject. Days turned into weeks and still nothing changed between you two. Astarion remained distant and aloof while you struggled with your own emotions, feeling confused and rejected.
One morning, you woke up with a heavy weight on your chest. You initially dismissed it as the usual feeling of sadness that had been lingering for a week now. But after a whole day of choking on your own breath and dizziness, mixed with a deep pounding in your head, you knew this wasn’t the case. Despite your condition, you pushed through the day, determined not to be seen as weak or unreliable by your group.
However, as time passed, it became increasingly difficult to hide your worsening state from everyone else. Your coughing spells were becoming more frequent, and your body was weakening rapidly. You could sense Astarion's worried stare on you from time to time, but he never approached you to inquire about your condition.
That all changed one morning when you couldn't even muster the strength to get out of bed. Your entire body was in pain and your fever was soaring. You heard footsteps approaching your bedrolls and prepared yourself for one of your companions coming to check on you (or more likely, tell you off). However, it was Astarion's smirking face that came into view.
"Well, well, well," he said with a teasing tone, "Seems like our fearless leader is not feeling so fearless anymore. Feeling lazy today, are we?"
You managed to roll your eyes, laying your arm back over them to shield from the morning sunlight peering in through a hole in the tent. "If by lazy you mean sick, then yes." Your voice was weak and raspier than usual. You coughed into your arm, the action causing your body to shake and shudder with discomfort.
"Hmm..." Astarion's voice was no longer teasing. "That doesn't sound good, darling."
His gaze was intense when he leaned down to press his hand against your forehead. You suppressed a shiver at the unexpected coolness it brought and tried to turn away from him. He didn't let you, pushing your hair away from your face with his other hand.
"You're burning up," he said, moving away from you but not before you saw the worry flash briefly in his eyes. He stood up abruptly and started pacing around your bedroll, "What can I do?" He asked more to himself than you.
"Nothing… I just need… rest..." You managed to respond before another coughing fit washed over you.
Astarion shook his head "I'm going to get Shadowheart and Halsin. They will know what to do."
Astarion hurried out of the tent, and surely a few minutes later he came back bringing your two companions. As Halsin handed you the potion and Shadowheart casted her healing spells, Astarion's hand brushed against yours briefly before pulling away.
"Thank you," you whispered weakly before passing out.
A few hours later, after resting and drinking more disgusting beverages than you could count, your fever had finally subsided a bit and your coughing fits were less frequent. Astarion stayed by your side through the whole ordeal, a comforting silhouette against the flickering candlelight. You closed your eyes and felt his cold hand soothingly stroke your forehead. The cool, comforting touch of his skin against yours was a relief from the fever heat radiating off your body.
"Feel any better?" Astarion asked, raising an eyebrow.
You attempted a smile, "Well, I'm not dead yet."
His lips twitched in response, a semblance of his usual smirk flickering across his handsome face. "Good. That would be inconvenient for my dietary needs."
Despite feeling weak and exhausted, you couldn't help but chuckle. It was a welcome distraction from the constant throbbing pain in your head and rattling chest.
He shifted awkwardly on his seat next to you, looking almost hesitant, before he started speaking again. "I... I was scared of losing you," he admitted, "And I have to confess something."
His usually confident and cocky demeanor was replaced with an almost childlike uncertainty.
"What is it?" You asked, your voice still weak but full of concern.
He sighed heavily before meeting your gaze.
"I had a nice simple plan; to manipulate your feelings so you'd never turn on me. And honestly, I thought it would be so easy, with you being so open, so eager to care for everyone..." He frowns, "But that is the thing. You are so kind, so thoughtful. No one's ever cared for me the way you have. And... I don't know how to handle it."
You reached out and grasped his hand, squeezing it gently. "I understand," you said softly. "It's not easy to let someone take care of you, but you don't have to push me away. You deserve love and happiness just like everyone else."
He nodded, his grip on your hand tightening slightly. "I want to try," he said, determination flickering in his gaze. "I want to let you take care of me. And I want to take care of you, if you let me."
You smiled at him, feeling a warmth spread through your chest at his words.
"Of course. But first, I feel like I need to tell you something too." You took a deep breath before continuing, "I...I think I'm falling in love with you."
He looked at you puzzled, before letting out a loud laugh.
"Oh, my love. I already knew."
You were taken aback by his words. "What? You did?"
He rolled his eyes "Dear, you were hardly subtle about it. A portrait? Essential oils? Come on..."
You couldn't help but laugh at his response, feeling relieved and embarrassed all at once.
"I guess I'm not as sneaky as I thought," you said, shaking your head.
"But I'm not better." He leaned in closer, his lips hovering just inches from yours. "I've been falling for you since the moment you started leaving books on my bedroll."
With that, he closed the distance between you and pressed his lips against yours in a soft kiss. It was like a spark igniting, sending waves of electricity through your body. In that brief moment, all the emotions and tensions that had been building between you seemed to dissipate into thin air. The softness of his lips against yours was like a warm embrace, melting away any doubts or fears you may have had.
When you both pulled away, you rested your forehead against his and whispered, "You are going to get ill now."
He chuckled, "How fortunate I am already dead then."
Yet, in that moment, the gleam of his eyes made him seem more alive than you had ever seen him.

Some days I truly feel like TLT has ruined... books for me. Like, I don't even like ACOTAR but I can think of at least four series that are basically ACOTAR with dragons, ACOTAR with gods, ACOTAR with vampires, ACOTAR with witches, and that's just off the top of my head.
But there's truly nothing out there that captures all or even some of the elements that enthralled me about TLT. The characters, the character dynamics, the magic system, the voice, the mix of science fiction and fantasy, the prose that knows exactly when to be funny and when to be serious, the queernorm world-building and variety of lesbian genders... It does not exist. Even if I find something with similar themes it will be bland fantasy voice and (most likely) boring straight ship of fem4fem.
It's even ruined audiobooks narrators because no one can compare to moira quirk and her sexy accent and wonderfully animated narration that makes the characters come to life.
And it makes me really sad to think i might never discover another series I love as much as this one. Not even close.

Things that I feel like would happen when you’re in a relationship with Astarion.
I started playing bg3 and i have it bad for this vampiric menace of a man.
misc character masterlist
Warnings: blood drinking, he’s a vampire so yeah
Tumblr media
1. He’s basically a cat but gods forbid you tell him that.
I have a tortie and let me tell ya, she is the sassiest animal I’ve ever met. This cat will climb into the closet just high enough that the dogs can see her but can’t reach her. She will jump into the counter and stare at me because she knows she’s not allowed up there. She will bat at the screen in the window until it pops open and she can escape. But jokes on you! she doesn’t actually escape, she just goes to the back door and meows until someone lets her in.
Anyways this is exactly how Astarion is. He’s sassy but hides it as being a witty nobleman when he’s really just being the sass master. He will do things purely to get a reaction out of people i.e. when he attacked you the first time you met. There was no need to try and pull one over on you like that but he did it anyways because he can. If you get too close to Gale (aka talk to him), he will pout and give you the cold shoulder because gale ‘is such a bore and I’m obviously better company than that, darling.’
He will make the biggest scene if he feels like your attention is being pulled away from him. Oh you’re talking to Shadowheart by the fire later than usual? He’s glowering at your back from his tent until you look over your shoulder at him. When you make eye contact, he’s going to roll his eyes and huff as he throws open the tent flaps. Shadowheart chuckles under her breath because she knows exactly what’s happening.
The longer you’ve known each other, the bolder he gets. He’ll add more each time. At first it’s just the staring and huffing. It moves to glaring at your companion and then waltzing over to you so he say something sassy like “I am not your mother. I should not have to drag you to bed each night.” When that stops getting the reaction he wants, he’ll plop down next you and make every annoyed noise known to man. He might even start to nudge you, extending out one delicate hand to touch your knee or elbow until you get the hint.
But don’t you dare call him out on this. Like a cat, Astarion needs to feek comfortable safe with you. If he gets even a whiff of negativity (or what he thinks is), it sets your relationship back weeks. Pointing out his little feline quirks will feel like you’re complaining or annoyed with him and he can’t handle it. He’ll pull away from you and resort back to his stand offish ways. He’s making sassy but lowkey hurtful comments all of the time. They’re not directed at you because he would never forgive himself if he upset you but that sentiment doesn’t extend to anyone else. Worst of all he won’t feed from you and would damn near starve himself before asking you.
It’s a delicate dance between the two of you but one you would never quit.
2. Feeding from you is difficult for him.
At first it was merely a means to an end but then you became more important to him and now he can’t bring himself to feed from you as much. He would rather never do it but alas blood is in limited supply and you’ve already given him permission to take what he needs. If he can, he finds some other way but it doesn’t always work out. You’ve never asked him why he seems to avoid such a normal task but it’s always on your mind and one night you blurt it out.
I imagine it’s been a long few days and tonight is the first time you’ve been able to relax. Freshly bathed, fed, and now sipping at decent wine, you’re lounging with Karlach and Shadowheart. The three of you have had more than enough wine to be relaxed and have passed over into what Astarion calls ‘delightful chaos’. You’re giggly enough to be entertaining but can still hold a conversation albeit slow and slurred. Your pale elf has been cranky all day and poor Gale has been the target for most of it. You tried to step in and at least lessen Astarion’s onslaught but that earned you the nastiest glare to date. Since then Astarion has been sulking in the shadows or hiding in his tent. You’re the only one brave enough to go near him when he’s like this however it’s still rather dangerous.
On clumsy feet you find yourself just outside of him tent where you can feel the brooding and angst wafting from inside.
“Astarion?” You gentle whisper to the fabric, awaiting his acknowledgment.
“What?” His response is short and biting, similar to how he’s been speaking at Gale.
Assuming he doesn’t realize that it’s you, you say his name again and ask if you can come in. He nearly brings his tent to the ground when he rips open the flaps.
“What?” He repeats with fury and pain in his dull eyes.
It should scare you, seeing him so feral and unrestrained but seeing him causes a wild smile to break out on your face. Your hands go to reach for his face but quickly they fall when you remember that everyone is watching you closely. Whatever wine you drank has given you an armor of courage (and stupidity really). You smile at him with all of the affection you harbor for this ethereal being and slide past him into his tent. The simple action sends everyone else into high alert while Astarion barely contains the hiss he wants to send their way.
When he turns around, he finds you already sitting beside his bedroll with your knees pulled up with your arms wrapped around them.
“What do you want?”
All he gets in response is a blink and then a beckoning to join you. Patting the space next to you, you quietly ask him to join you however he is determined to be cross with you for barging in. He repeats his early question with a hardened glower in your direction.
“Astarion…” you murmur to him, your voice low and gentle, “you need to feed.”
The sheer audacity to utter such a thing infuriates him to no end but you’re right. He does and the sanguine desire is growing far too large to hold in anymore.
He still tries to deny it but his words are unusually weak and he stumbles over each one.
“Come,” you order softly as you move to lay down on his bedroll and brush your hair away, “drink what you need. I trust you.”
Those three words are almost as powerful as a declaration of love to the vampire spawn. He finds himself crumble to the ground and crawl over your divine figure. The unholy need to devour you that he usually despises with his entire being is welcomed as his fangs sink into your neck. One of your hands comes to hold his shoulder and the other cradles the back of his head, keeping him close as he feeds from you. Your gentle touch and reassuring voice overwhelms poor Astarion. He begins to whimper and moan into the supple skin of your neck without even realizing it. When he pulls away to keep from completely draining you, he’s breathless and muttering to himself you how good you taste.
Why he would ever deny himself this divine experience?
3. He refuses to admit it that he loves when you initiate touch.
Because of his past, you’ve decided that you will only touch him if he asks and if you get explicit consent. Most of the time you wait until he invites you in some manner whether that be he telling you to get over here or paw at you like a cat. He appreciates it, he really does but sometimes he craves the feeling that he gets when you ask him.
His favorite, though, is when you ask him if you can lay in him when he reads. You’ve been napping in his tent on and off all day, having chosen to stay back and recoup after the long events from the past week. Most of your companions have been doing the same but Astarion has been trying his hardest to not spend too much time around you. It’s hard enough to not just bask in your affection but even more so when you’ve been cuddled up in his tent all day. When you finally decide to go to your own tent, he takes the opportunity to reclaim his bedroll. It smells of your sweet scent and is still warm from your body, something he secretly craves.
You return to his tent a few hours later after everyone has eaten and settled in for the night. Peering down at him with sleeping eyes, you cross your arms and huff when he ignores you for his reading.
“Yes, my dear?” He quietly chuckles while still pretending to read his book.
“You’re in my spot.”
“We’re in my tent therefore it is my spot.”
You can’t exactly argue with him. You plop down next to him and give him the biggest puppy eyes imaginable.
“Will you at least let me lay on you if you’re not going to move?”
If it could his heart would be doing flips and his cheeks would be red but alas neither thing is truly possible.
“That depends…” he pretends to be uninterested in your request and continues with his straight face as he flips to the next page in his book. He can hear your huff of annoyance and fails to hide the small smirk that tugs at his pale lips.
“On what?” You pry even though you both know this is just a little game and he’s going to give in.
“Ask me nicely.” He drawls in that low seductive voice he uses when he’s trying to persuade you. Finally he flickers his eyes over to yours. That simple action alone steals your breath and chases away any negative feelings you might’ve had.
You crawl closer to him, nearly touching him but not quite as you whisper your request again.
“Of course you can, my dear,” he whispers back while his smirk has fully taken over his face. “Lay your head here."
He pats his sternum and waits for you to settle. Much like a lover seeking warmth in the night, you immediately take refuge in his arms and cuddle as close as you can to him. You feel him set his the book on your upper back when you've found the comfort and warmth you sought.
Astarion begins to murmur the book’s words as his other hands rests at the base of your head. His fingers don’t yet feel confident in moving to thread into your hair but they do softly rub at the tension in your skull. Peace is found in your embrace and he couldn’t be happier that you asked him to join your party all those weeks ago.

Bloodthirsty | Daryl Dixon x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*GIF isn't mine.*
Summary: When you started your relationship with a vampire, you were assured that he would never feed from you—he would only ever continue feeding on animals. However, in the heat of a passionate moment, you found yourself wanting him to do exactly what he assured you he wouldn't, and it turned into an extremely thrilling experience.
Genre: Smut.
Era: Apocalypse, no timeline in particular.
Warnings: Swearing, blood, dry humping, unprotected p in v.
Word count: 1.3k.
A/n: I've been loving vamp!Daryl recently and had to write my take on him. It's my first time ever writing something like this, and I'm really bad at writing smut, so I'm sorry if it sucks. I hope you like it, though!
Based on this post by @norman-fucking-reedus.
➳༻❀✿❀༺➳
“Shit, baby,” you moaned against Daryl's lips, rolling your hips leisurely against his and creating a pleasurable friction between the two of you.
Daryl groaned in satisfaction, deepening the already steamy kiss by slipping his tongue into your mouth. His hands gripped your hips tightly, slowly guiding your movements as the bulge in his pants grew with each passing moment.
Your hands moved to his hair and gripped tightly on the brown locks, pulling gently. You successfully coaxed a low whine from your partner, making you giggle against his lips. Daryl detached his lips from yours and started trailing sloppy, wet kisses from your jaw all the way down to your neck.
You leaned your head back to allow him more access, blissed out by the feeling of his lips on your neck. However, Daryl stopped momentarily to regain his composure, your mere scent being highly intoxicating to him. He slightly rubbed his nose against your shoulder to prolong the high he got from your scent alone, breathing heavily to restrain himself from doing what his senses were telling him to—to sink his fangs into your flesh and drink your blood.
Noticing his hesitance, you withdrew and looked at him. You noticed the way his pupils were blown with lust, but your main focus was the way his fangs were slightly longer than usual, something that only happened when he was hungry and wanted to feed. Then, in your lust-induced haze, a scary yet thrilling idea filled your mind.
“Feed on me,” you whispered, cupping Daryl's face in your hands.
Instantly, Daryl shook his head in denial. “Nah, I can't. I dun' wanna hurt ya,” he told you, trying to steady his heavy breathing and retract his fangs.
“You won't hurt me,” you replied, rubbing your thumb on his cheek. “You won't ever hurt me.”
“Ya dun' know tha',” he disagreed, his hands involuntarily tightening their hold on your hips. “I haven't had human blood in a lot of fuckin' years. Wha' if I can't stop? Yer too precious to me to risk tha'.”
“Do you trust me?” you asked him, gazing deeply into the blue eyes that you loved so much that were darkened with lust.
Daryl nodded. “'Course I do.”
“Then trust me when I say that I trust you. I want you to feed on me. I want you to know what my blood tastes like. I want you to do this, Daryl. Please.”
Daryl inhaled sharply when you removed your shirt to expose your shoulder, his self-restraint dwindling with each passing second. He looked at you questioningly, clearly giving you a chance to change your mind if you wanted to.
“Ya sure?” he questioned you.
You nodded. “I'm sure.”
Daryl took a deep breath before lowering his face to your exposed shoulder, placing a few soft, tender kisses along the soft skin. Your hands instinctively moved to his hair again, your fingers threading through the brown strands. He licked one spot on your shoulder once before he finally sunk his fangs into your flesh, instantly drawing blood from the wound.
You yelped and flinched at the contact, your hands tightening on his locks. The pain soon dulled into a small ache. Surprisingly, the ache was rather pleasurable, and a small moan escaped you.
Daryl closed his eyes, a guttural groan vibrating against your shoulder. The taste of your blood had him practically melting; animal blood was more than enough to satisfy his hunger, but he had to admit, you tasted so much better. You tasted better than any five star meal he had back when he was still human.
Without even thinking about it, he continuously rolled his hips up against yours at a steady pace, the hardness of his bulge pressing pleasurably against your clothed clit. You whined, grinding down against him without even thinking about it, entirely blissed out from the entire situation.
Somehow, you managed to free Daryl's hard cock from the confines of his pants. Moving your panties to the side, you adjusted yourself and slid down onto his cock, moaning loudly at the pleasurable stretch. Daryl groaned for the hundredth time that night, his arms tightening around you while continuing to drink mouthfuls of the refreshing crimson your body put out for your survival.
Without waiting for your go-ahead, Daryl started moving himself up against you, his cock slipping in and out of your warmth at a fast pace. You met his vigorous pace with equal enthusiasm, chasing that familiar high that only Daryl knew how to successfully pull from you. Even while his mind was cloudy from both the pleasure created between your bodies and the tasteful drops of blood flowing down his throat, he managed to think of your pleasure as well, continuously hitting that one specific spot that had you seeing stars.
“Fuck—shit—holy fuck,” you cried out, closing your eyes as the familiar knot started forming in your stomach. In record time, you could feel the same knot start to unravel, making you claw desperately to Daryl's shoulders, his hair, anything. Anything just to ground yourself back to reality.
All it took was for Daryl to bring a hand between your bodies and to rub your clit with ample enthusiasm for you to completely unravel. You cried out in pure ecstasy as the coil snapped. Daryl removed his fangs from your shoulder, instead opting to lick at the blood that poured as he continued to move your hips against his. Daryl soon followed suite with his own unraveling, finishing inside you for the first time ever.
Tired out from your prior activities and from the blood loss, you lowered your head to rest on Daryl's shoulder. You panted heavily, trying to catch your breath. Daryl placed on last kiss to your exposed wound that now throbbed with a dull ache before flipping you on your back, pulling out of you.
Daryl's eyes stayed on you the whole time as he tucked himself away, worried lines creasing his forehead. “Peach, are ya okay?” When you didn't respond right away, Daryl desperately held your face in his hands, concern evident on his features. “Peach—”
“I'm okay,” you finally managed to whisper, giggling slightly. “I'm more than okay. I feel better than I've ever felt in my life.”
Daryl sighed in relief, wiping at the blood that trickled down his mouth. “Jesus, ya scared the shit outta me.”
You giggled again, staring at the man you loved through tired, half lidded eyes. “We should definitely do this again.”
Daryl nodded, moving to the edge of the bed. “If yer up fer it, sure. But not today. Ya've lost enough blood. We need to get ya fed and strong again, get ya ready to be up fer the run tomorrow.”
“Before we do that, I just have one question for you,” you stated, halting his movements.
“Wha's tha', darlin'?” he asked, sending you a questioning look.
“How do I taste? Good?”
“Good?” Daryl asked rhetorically, letting out an amused laugh. He gripped your leg gently and gave you a heated look. “Sweetheart, ya taste fuckin' divine.”

Can you do a Honkai Star Rail vampire au with Dang Heng, Blade, Caelus, and Jing Yuan? Pwetty pwease?
Tumblr media
Ooh you know I don’t think I’ve done these for hsr yet o: I’m just doing general hcs but lemme know if you want something specific 💕
Tumblr media
✩ Caelus
He’s still new to all this, maybe about five or so years. It’s definitely a work in progress for him. The incident of being turned still haunts him.
He does need to drink more often than the older ones. About four times a week. His urges are still pretty strong and he needs to be locked up on some nights.
When he started dating you, it was fine. He didn’t tell you immediately, duh, and managed to keep it a secret for a while. While he felt guilty, he didn’t know how to tell you.
Well, lucky for him— or unlucky— he ended up biting you accidentally. It was the cliche situation where you cut your hand and he just lost it. Thankfully, he didn’t hurt you too much. He bit a little hard and left a bruise though.
Your blood is by far his favorite. Most likely due to his attraction to you. He doesn’t deny it and will ask on very rare occasions to have your blood. He actually finds it satiates him longer than animal blood.
✩ Dan Heng
Much older compared to Caelus. He was actually born one so he wasn't turned. Apparently, he was turned a few lifetimes ago or something.
While he is older, he’s a more hungry vampire. Instead of feeding twice a week like most of his age, he still feeds four nights a week. He does find he needs less though, like one glass instead of a liter or so. While the urge is there it isn’t super strong except on extremely rare nights.
He didn’t have a hard time concealing his identity when he began dating you. He didn’t think it was safe for you to know at the time.
The way you found out was you decided to surprise him at his place and when you snuck in, you saw him drinking the actual blood. He tried to play it off but you weren’t buying it.
The first time he drank from you was at your request. He never asked if he could have your blood, unsure of how you’d take it. Lucky for him, you offered.
Your blood is so much sweeter and more savory than anything he’s had before and it’s genuinely ruined other blood for him. Animal blood? Might as well be spoiled milk.
✩ Jing Yuan
The oldest out of all of them. He turned so long ago he barely remembers any details. He just knows that it was a friend of his... who wasn't really a friend.
His urges are a lot easier for him to control at this age. He's seen many people bleed a lot and hasn't really lost control. Did plenty when he was younger. He feeds about once a week, he can push it out to two weeks, he'll need more blood. He's extremely careful NOT to go hungry for too long, he doesn't want to accidentally hurt someone.
He doesn't have a hard time hiding this from anyone. He can go out into the sun just fine, but not for too long and he's not constantly hungry.
You found out later in the relationship when he felt comfortable revealing it to you. Thankfully, you weren't too upset with him as it's not a secret he can just tell anyone. Though, any anger sent his way would've been accepted graciously as he did still lie.
The first time he drank from you was your own request. Jing Yuan knows the seriousness of drinking straight from the source, especially with someone he adores so much. Weird things tend to happen. While he can't turn you, there's other... things to be wary of. He does love your blood, it's so good, but he limits himself to once a month, maybe twice if you really want to.
✩ Bladie
He's still a fairly younger vampire but there's a little caveat with him that most don't have. Blade didn't turn properly which leads to several challenges. He remembers exactly who turned him and when as he had been mortally wounded and his friend was desperate to save him.
While he's done a great job controlling his urges, they will hit at the absolute worst times. Namely when he's around you. Everything's gonna be fine, he's been keeping his drinking schedule and boom, you enter the room. It's like his entire body goes into panic mode and he usually just rushes past you without so much as an explanation.
Hiding it is very difficult, actually. So, the others already know. They're the ones who supply Bladie with blood and make sure that he always has enough.
You found out when everyone else did. You just don't know that you're the one who makes his urges go haywire all the time. Bladie doesn't know why and Kafka keeps saying it has to do with something as cliche as feelings.
Well, damn those stupid feelings because one day you insisted on talking to him. The urges hit him, you refused to leave, he was yelling at you, then you were pinned on his bed with him drinking from you.
Bladie won't admit it... but your blood is 100% better than everything else he's ever had. Silver Wolf did gift him human blood as a joke and he did finish it that night but you? Whole different story.

ONE YEAR AGO
“It’s okay. It’s okay.” Your friend holds onto you tight, “You can’t.. I’m sorry, you can’t go in there.”
You were sobbing in her arms, fighting to break free from her grasp, “Nonono, he can’t-“ you gasp for air, “He can’t.. he can’t be..”
“I’m sorry.. I’m so, so sorry.” She holds you tighter, moving down to sit on the ground with you laying in her lap, “I’m so sorry.”
“I’m not seeing anything.”
You lifted your head, sniffling hard as you listened to the officers talk, “There’s absolutely no sign of them sir.”
“No blood? No articles of clothing? A cell phone? Nothing?” He takes his hat off, smacking it against his thigh, “Goddamn it. We’ll search all night if we have to.”
And they did.
You couldn’t believe what you were living through. You couldn’t comprehend that Matt was just.. gone.
“There’s..” you sniffle hard, laying your head against your friend’s shoulder, “no.. way.. he’s just..” you sob hard, wails leaving your lips the longer you think about it.
“I know.. I know..” she whispers as she rubs your back, “it doesn’t.. it doesn’t make sense.”
“Ma’am.”
“Y/n.” Your friend pushes you to stand up and you look up at the officer, “I believe your boyfriend was one of the ones who disappeared last night.”
You nod, “Y-yes.. he just.. came outside.. and never.. c-came.. back.”
“Neither of you saw anything, did you?” He asks as he jots stuff down on his notepad, “No animals or anything like that?”
“No, sir.” Your friend steps up beside you and you shake your head, “We were inside the whole night, or..” you sigh, fighting back more tears but fail, “Un-til.. he-“
“Okay, okay.” The officer pats your shoulder, “Well work hard to figure out what happened, okay? We’ll get you and everyone else some answers.”
But they never did.
It was always the same answer, no tracks. Nothing left behind. They just dropped the case like they were nothing.
You couldn’t just sit there anymore, so you went out to the woods.
Day after day for a few weeks, looking for some sort of sign, or a clue he may have left behind, but to your disappointment, you found nothing.

ONE YEAR LATER - PRESENT DAY
Matt was always in the back of your mind. You never let yourself go a day without thinking about him at least once, but then again, everything reminded you of him.
You even dreamed about him.
“I miss you.” You look up at him from your bed as he walks closer to you, “I wish I could..” you gasp quietly as his hand presses to your cheek.
“I promise, I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again.”
They always felt, so real. Almost like he was literally standing right in front of you, but when you’d wake up, he never was.
You let out a sigh as your phone vibrates from an incoming call. You hit the lock button to silence it, but the screen still stays lit.
You roll your eyes, knowing exactly why Macie is calling, and you didn’t feel like talking about it.
She calls again, and again, and again, until you finally answer it, “Dude.”
“Finally.” She sighs, “I’ve been waiting for you to answer.”
“I’m not going to that stupid Halloween party. I don’t need a repeat of last year with you.” You sit up and rest your chin in the palm of your hand, “I just don’t think I’m ready to go to another one.”
“Oh come on, y/n. You have to start living your normal life. You can’t stay locked in your apartment forever, it’s not good.” She pauses, “We don’t have to go to the party, but we can go to the festival?”
Your eyes start to water as you remember walking through the fair grounds with Matt’s hand in yours. Him glancing back at you every so often to make sure you were good.
His smile, the way his eyes lit up when you smiled back.
“I-I.. don’t want to do anything, Macie, I’m sorry.” You pull the phone away from your ear and stop when you hear her yelling, “Wait, wait, wait.”
You put the phone back to your ear, “What.”
“I’ll come over, I’ll bring snacks. A blanket, we can camp out in your living room, watch movies all night?”
You stay silent for a second, thinking about her offer, “Fine. But you better bring the good popcorn. I’m all out.”
“Okay, I’ll pack a bag and then I’ll swing by the store on my way over.”
“Take your time, I’m going to try and lay down, I can feel a headache coming on.” You run a hand through your hair, “See you in a little bit.”
“See you.”
You hang up, tossing your phone down as you lay down. You stare at the picture of Matt on your nightstand, giving it a small smile before your close your eyes.
That’s the fastest you’ve fallen asleep.
“I miss you so much.” Matt whispers as he pulls you tighter against his body, “You have no idea what I’d do to get back to you.”
“I’d do anything to have you back, Matt. It’s not the same without you here.” You turn your head, sniffling as you try to hold back your tears.
“Hey, hey.” Matt’s hands slide to your cheeks and he tiles your head up, “Don’t cry, sweetheart.” He gives you a small smile as his thumbs swipe away your tears as they fall, “I promise, I’m always with you. You know that.”
“It’s not the same.” You pout, “Why can’t you come back?”
“I don’t have a choice, baby.” Matt frowns, “Macie is almost here. It’s time to wake up.” He presses his lips to your temple, and you snap awake.
You sit up, looking around as your hand moves to the spot Matt kisses in your dream.
It felt so real.
“Hey!” Macie calls as she walks through your front door, “I’m here.”
You get up and walk out, “Have you ever had a dream that felt so real, you’re left.. confused after?”
She stops walking and just stares at you, “I just.. got here..” she laughs and walks over to the couch, “But yeah, I’ve had dreams like that.”
“I keep, having these dreams where Matt is here.” You walk over to the couch and sit down, “Like, right before you got here, he kissed my temple..” you point to your head, “This temple, and then he told me you were almost here and that I needed to wake up.”
“I think..” she sits down and turns towards you, “I think it’s all physiological, honey. Like you’re still really shaken up about Matt just-“
“Yeah.” You cut her off, not wanting to talk about it, “Did you, uh, bring the popcorn?”
She catches on and nods, “I sure did.” She pulls the box out of her grocery bag and hands it to you, “That’s the stuff right?”
You nod, “Yes, this is the stuff.” You get up and walk to the kitchen, unwrapping a pack of the popcorn to throw into the microwave.
“Did you get drinks?” You yell out, pausing as you wait for her to answer, “Oh fuck no, I didn’t.”
“That’s fine. I have some.” You reach into the fridge and grab some, “Here. The popcorn is in the microwave. I’ll go check it.”
You walk back into the kitchen and as you’re standing at the microwave, you feel like a hand brushes hair from your shoulder.
You jump, spinning around quickly as you gasp.
Nothing.
“I swear to god.” You grab the bag from the microwave and walk back in to Macie, “Either my apartment is haunted, or I’m just losing it.”
“Why? What happened?” She looks up at you as she spread her blanket over her legs.
“Nothing.” You shake your head, “I’m probably just losing it.”
She nods, taking the bag of popcorn, “Do you have a bowl?” You sit down and groan, “Shit, yeah.” You go to get up, but she stops you, “You. Sit. I can get it.”
You nod, grabbing the remote from the coffee table and you lean back into the couch. As you’re clicking through the movies, you swear you see Matt standing behind the couch in the reflection.
You whip your head around, letting out a sigh as Macie walks back in, “I think this one should be good enough, right?”
You look over at her and nod, “Yeah. That’s the popcorn bowl.”
She furrows her brows and slowly sits down, “What’s happening?”
“What do you mean?” You tilt your head and she laughs slightly, “You’re acting weird.”
You try to play it off, but you can’t, “I can’t.. okay. Please don’t judge me, but I honestly feel like Matt is still here.”
She goes to say something, but you cut her off, “And don’t give me that it’s just your mind grieving, shit because it doesn’t feel like that. I know what that feels like and this..” you shake your head, “This.. isn’t it.”
“Okay, okay.” She slowly sets the bowl on the table and looks at you, “I was there when Matt went missing.”
You cringe at her words and she sighs, “I know you hate hearing it, but it’s true, y/n. I seen the way it affected you. I seen how hurt you were by his disappearance. You were deeply affected, and from what I know, the mind can play the worst tricks when you’re going through something like that. Thinking they’re still here because you don’t want to accept they aren’t coming back.”
You give her a look but she quickly speaks up, “I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, honey. What I’m saying, is, maybe.. you need to finally.. put him to rest?”
“What, like burn his pictures?” You scoff and look down, “I can’t get rid of anything, Mac, it’s all I have left of him.”
“No, I’m just saying that you need to give him one final message. A final goodbye, so that way, you don’t spend the rest of your life on the couch, soaking in sadness. He wouldn’t want that.”
No matter how much you didn’t want to believe her, you knew she was right.
“I know.” You mumble quietly, “I just..”
“I’ll give you tonight. One more night to just grieve and let all the sadness come back out, and then tomorrow, we’re going to Frankie’s party.”
You shake your head and she nods, “You need to live your life, y/n. You can’t just-“
“I know.” You cut her off, “I’m just, scared I’ll forget him completely.”
“I don’t think that will happen.” She laughs slightly, “You and Matt were.. an unbelievable couple. You guys were literally the perfect match.”
“I miss him.” You look at her, tears in your eyes, “I miss him so much.” You cover your face and the silent sobs grow louder.
“I know, honey.” She moves over next to you, her arms moving to hold you like she did a year ago. You were sobbing against her chest as she gently rocked you back and forth, “It’s okay. You’re okay, just let it all out.”
“It should have been me.” You sob, “Matt didn’t deserve this.”
“It shouldn’t have been anyone.” She runs her hand over your head, “No one should have to go through this.”
After a few minutes of crying, you sit up, “Okay..” you sniffle, “Let’s watch a movie.”
“Are you sure?” She tilts her head and you nod, “Yeah, yeah.” You wipe your face, “I’m good.”
She takes the remote from the couch and points it at the tv, “This good?” You look at the screen and nod, “Yeah, this one is good.”
꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷꒦꒷
You slowly lifted your head from the arm of the couch, blinking a few times as your eyes adjust to the light flashing from the tv screen.
As you sit up, you see Macie asleep on the other end.
You stand up, leaning down to move the blanket up onto her body more before you walk into the kitchen.
You grab a water from the fridge, opening it to take a drink before standing there for a second. You look around the kitchen, your mind flashing memories of you and Matt dancing in the fridge light.
Carving pumpkins on the floor surrounded by newspaper to catch the goop from within them.
You can still hear his laughter, his voice.
You can feel tears welling up in your eyes, so you make your way back into the living room. You gently set your water down on the end stand before sitting down on the couch.
As you’re watching the movie play, you can feel yourself doze off again, but only this time, unbeknownst to you, you weren’t dreaming.
“Don’t make a a sound, just listen to me.” Matt stares into your eyes as you nod, “You’re going to get up, and you’re going to go into the woods, the spot where you were looking for me.”
You stare at the figure in front of you, nodding as he speaks, “Don’t tell anyone where you’re going. Forget that I was here. Just come find me, and don’t be scared.”
You blink a few times and look around confused. You stare at Macie for a few seconds before you slowly get up, walking over to get your shoes on.
You grab the sweatshirt that once belonged to Matt, and you throw it on before you silently leave. You knew where you were going, you just didn’t know why.
You were questioning yourself the whole way there, asking yourself what you could possibly doing at three in the morning.
Matt was heavy on your mind, but that’s nothing different.
As you round the corner of the one building, you come to a stop. Your eyes fixate on a figure that stands up on the bridge leading to the woods.
A body lying lifeless at its feet.
Don’t be scared.
You walk forward, the figure disappearing with a blink of your eyes and you continue your trek. You stare at the body on the ground as you walk by, your head tilting as you see the ripped open flesh on its neck.
You look forward, glancing behind you before disappearing off the road and into the treeline.
The moon light cutting through the trees illuminated the dark ground as you walk, fog clouds up more and more the closer you get to the opening of where Matt was said to be last.
You take one more step, standing right in the center of the opening and you perk your head up as you snap out of your trance.
You look around, your breathing growing heavy as you start to panic.
You were out in the middle of the woods, alone - or so you thought.
“Y/n?”
You freeze.
You know that voice.
“M-Matt?” You slowly spin around and gasp, your hand flying to your mouth as Matt steps into the stream of moonlight, “Hi baby.”
You stare at him, shaking your head slowly as the overwhelming feelings take over, “I-I don’t.. I don’t-“ you take a shaky breath, “understand.”
“I didn’t either at first, sweetheart.” Matt steps closer and you step back, “W-wait..” you hold your hand up, “You.. were dead..”
He shrugs, “And yet, I’m here.”
You close your eyes, “I don’t..” you feel your legs go weak, and before you hit the ground, Matt in there in a blink of an eye, catching you in his arms.
“Is it.. really you?” You turn your head slightly and Matt nods, “It is.”
You swallow, “We have to.. go to the police.. tell them, you’re-you’re fine, right?” You stand up and turn towards him, “You can.. or, at least.. tell me what happened?”
You were unsure of whether or not you were ready to hear it, but Matt knew that, “Can you sit down for me? I don’t want you falling.”
You nod, sitting down with his hand in yours, “I just..” You let out a sigh as you look around, “I can’t.. wrap my mind around this..”
Matt’s fingers gently rest on your chin, his touch was cold, “Look at me, please.”
You hesitate for a second, but you inevitably look up at him.
“You and I are both, so.. different now.” He shakes his head, “I’ve missed you so much.”
“How-“
He cuts you off, “When I went outside at that party, I didn’t think I wouldn’t ever come back.” He crouches down in front of you, his hands resting on your hips, “It happened so quick.”
“What happened so quick?” You reach up, your shaky hand resting against his cheek, “Matt..”
“I honestly didn’t believe in it myself, but when I woke up, I was..” he looks away, shaking his head. You reach up with your other hand, turning his face back towards you, “Matthew. There’s nothing you can say that will scare me away.”
He swallows, his voice how, “Do you believe in the supernatural?”
You shrug slowly, “I mean, I’ve heard stories about our town, but I never really.. seen anything..”
“But do you believe?”
You nod, “Yes.”
His grip tightens on your hips, “Good, because I really need you to believe me when I tell you that I was turned into a vampire.”
You lean back, your stare on his face, “What?”
He nods, “That’s why I-“
“No, no. I need you to say it again because I-“ you shake your head, “What!?”
“How do you think I got to you in a split second before you hit the ground?” He glances back to the spot where you almost collapsed and you sigh, “I’ve dreamed about you, were, were those-“
“I’ve visited you throughout the year, but only when I knew I could control my thirst.”
“For blood.” You swallow and he nods, “Yeah, as a new vampire, you have this-this uncomfortable hunger and you just want to kill everyone you come across by sucking them dry.”
A chill goes down your spine and Matt rests his hand on your cheek, “I’m not going to hurt you, baby. I don’t want to. That’s why I stayed away for so long.”
“W-who helped you? Are there more? Are the others who disappeared.. vampires, too?”
You had so many questions, your heart was racing.
“Y/n, baby. I need you to calm down.” Matt stands up and backs away.
The feeling that washes over you is gut wrenching. Matt has never backed away from you before.
“I-I’m sorry..” you lean down, your hands covering your face.
Matt is next to you, his hand running up and down your back, “Don’t be sorry. This isn’t your fault.” You sit up, “But it is, I should have came with you. I shouldn’t have been-“
“Don’t do that.” Matt crouches down in front of you again, “Baby, look at me.” He waits until you look at him, “I came to you, sat with you while you slept. I let you see me for as long as I could before I wanted to do something I don’t ever want to do. That’s not your fault. That’s the fuckin’ freaks fault who turned me into this-this monster.”
“You’re not a monster, Matt.” You sniffle as you reach up to cup his face with your hands, “Like you said this.. isn’t your fault.”
He stares at you, “I compelled you to forget me, each time I saw you, and that hurt so bad, I’m so sorry.” He hangs his head down and you move closer, “You had to.”
He looks up at you and you run your hand through his hair, “We can.. we can come up with a plan.. tell, tell the police that you escaped some sort of-of cult or something? I don’t know. We can-“ you stop to take a breath, “Matt, baby. We can figure this out so you can come back to me.”
He lays his hand on yours that’s pressing against his cheek and he shakes his head, “I don’t think I can.”
“Why.. why do you say that?” You can feel yourself getting worked up, but you try to keep yourself as calm as you can, “I can help you.”
He stays silent as he just stares at you, “I don’t want to hurt you.” He shakes his head, “I don’t, ever want you to die on my behalf.”
You chew on your lip, “Is there anything we can do so that you can’t, or make it so you don’t want to?”
“No.”
“You’re lying to me.” You tilt your head, “Matt.”
“I-I dont.. you..” he stands up and paces, “I can’t ask you to do that.”
“Do what?” You stand up, “You just told me you’re a fucking vampire and yet.. here I am, begging you to let me help you.”
“The only way we could be together is if-“ he stops, shaking his head, “No, no.”
“If.. what?” You swallow, “If you turned me into what you are, too?”
He turns his head towards you, slowly nodding, “That’s our best option, y/n. There’s no magic cure for me, but there’s always that option for you.”
You freeze, “Are-are you serious?” You laugh nervously, “Matt, that..” He quickly moves over to you, “I love you, y/n. So much.”
“I love you.” You pull him in, your lips gently pressing to his. He pulls you closer, his lips pressing harder against yours.
He leans back, “I want to be with you. I do. You have no idea. You’re all I thought about. Your name was the last thing to leave my lips right before I d-“ he gasps, his eyes welling up, “I don’t want to be away from you any longer.”
You blink and tears fall into your cheeks, “I know, baby. I know.” You pull him in for a hug, your arms wrapped tightly around his neck, “What do I have to do?”
Matt holds onto you tighter, taking in your scent before he lets you go, “You need to die with vampire blood in your system.”
You’re taken aback by his words, you knew you had to die, but it was different coming from the one you loved.
“O-okay.” You nod, “I can do that.”
“Y/n. This is.. a lot.. for one night.” Matt sighs, “Why don’t you think-“
“I’ve thought about it.” You nod, “I want to do this, I want to be with you.”
He shakes his head, “I don’t think you have..” he shakes his head, “This.. means leaving for a while.. until you’ve gotten yourself under control. Until you can stomp out the cravings and save a human, saving your best friend.. from being your dinner.”
“So, I’ll just tell her?” You shrug and Matt laughs, “Do you know what they’ll do if it gets out that we’re not human? Especially in a town like this?”
You shake your head, “N-no?”
“We’ll be hunted. We won’t be able to stay here. We’ll have to keep running, and running, and running, and when we think it’s safe, we’ll end up having to run some more.” He runs his hand through his hair and you see a flicker in his eyes, “Matt?”
“I just-“ he sighs, “I need to know that you know what this means, and how different your life will actually be, because mine is no where like it was before, y/n, and I would do anything to get it back to the way it was.”
“But you said you can’t. There’s no magic cure for a vampire to be a human again, only for me to become what you are.” You step towards him, “I would have gone to the ends of the earth to find you, and now that I have found you..”
Matt stares at you and you scoff, “I’ll do anything to keep you.”
“You’re nervous.” Matt points, “I can hear your heart racing.”
“Who wouldn’t be nervous in a situation like this? I mean, we’re talking about, what? Staying the same exact way that we are right now, forever.”
He nods and you sigh, “Matt.”
He moves to stand right in front of you, “Tell me about being a vampire.” You look up at him and he nods, “Come sit.”
He walks you over and you sit down beside each other on the rocks. He lays his hand on your thigh and takes a deep breath, “Being this creature is.. unexplainable. You’re just.. free.”
“But you can compel people?” You lay your hand on his and he nods, “Yeah, yeah. You can make anyone do anything you want.”
“How many have you-“
“Seven.” He cuts you off, “six of them were to not make any noise while I fed.. the seventh was you, which was the worst one out of all of them because it meant I had to say goodbye until god knew when.”
You swallow, “I’m so sorry.”
“Not your fault.. um..” he clears his throat, “I have super speed, basically. I can practically flash away within a second. By the way, you weren’t going crazy. I was standing behind you and I did move your hair off of your shoulder, I just.. didn’t want you to freak out while Macie was there.”
“Yeah, I still broke down.”
“I know.” He frowns and pulls you into him, “I, uh. Have super strength, and my hearing is actually really weird.” He squints, “I can hear the body on the bridge being discovered right now..”
“Are we okay here?” You look behind you and he nods, “If anything comes this way, I’ll know.”
“So it looks like there is perks to this.. vampire lifestyle?” You joke slightly and Matt shrugs, “Yeah but the worst part is when you first wake up. You want to kill everything.”
“Yeah, the hunger..” you mumble, “I just..” you turn towards him, “You’ll be there to help me right?”
“Y/n..”
“I’m serious, Matt. We can do this. We can- I can say I’m going to stay with my aunt for a while or something? I don’t know we can figure out something.” You take his hands into yours, “Please.. let me be with you.”
“There’s no going back, y/n.”
“I don’t want to go back.” You shake your head, “If my future doesn’t have you in it.. then I don’t-“
Matt cuts you off with a kiss, “I need you to say it. I need you to say it so I know you understand it.”
You lick your lips, nodding your head, “I want you to make me a vampire, Matt.”

BATGIRL & ROBIN
Finally guys after all the sneak peeks… my Cassandra Cain and Mia Mizoguchi Short Story! CASS AND MAPS!
I’ve been posting it on my instagram all this month and last week on my twitter but i had totally forgotten to post it in here, for 2 months there wasn’t a day i wasn’t thinking on them and i would have loved with all my heart to do something even longer but… building up a story, thinking over and over the layouts, drawing and coloring with this level of detail all on my own is really hard and i can’t but feel guilty of taking this long for just this 7 pages, but as little that is, with all my heart i just really hope you like them :’) , I tried to put many little easter eggs and references but i will mention some at the end to not spoil your reading.
Thank you for reading! Please let me know what you think!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay, so some of the esster eggs:
PAGE 1: that Adam West Batman & Robin climbing a building shot which actually came to me from Bruno Redondo’s cover of Nightwing actually , and the rest of the panels hugely inspired by Batman The Animated Series!
PAGE 2: a portrait of Niccolai Tapes( The Mas Monk) on his early years and at his side Matt Wagner himself! , then a newspaper with a Batman based on his first appearances and a reference to the events from Batman vs the Mad Monk by Matt Wagner, and then ofc all the room filled with a bunch of objects taken exactly from the same pages of Matt when he draw The Monk’s Castle on the same book. and finally the book of Dracula for the same reason ;) , all this layout was inspired by one of the most iconic pages from Pax Americana by Frank Quitely
PAGE 3: all the vampires were based physically on Voldermort’s Death Eaters! but also the girl in black is Dala! Mad Monk’s more loyal acolyte which in the book she always desired to become a vampire but never could! , but from left to right, Barty Crocuh Jr. , Dala as Bellatrix, Peter Pettigrew, The Monk was “Voldemort” , then Snape, Lucius, Narcissa and Fenrir Greyback, and that last panel was a BLADE reference 🙂‍↕️🙌
PAGE 4: this whole Cass yellow panels with speedlines were supposed to represent the same kind of panels that Damion Scott drew when Cass was moving really fast in her Batgirl run, the whole layout was based on a page of Jamal Campbell from his Green Arrow run
PAGE 5: shot referencing the killing joke joker and batgirl cover, you can see a “Red sun” mode on the bat-flashlight apart from the Ultra Violet setting, them. Maps bites the Monk as she used to do a couple times in Gotham Academy, and Cass final attack is a reference to one of the moves she does in her 2000s run to stop the heart beats of a thug , and those circles were inspired by David Aja’s work on his Iron Fist and run!
PAGE 6: the building on the background purposely resembles the Bat ears, the GCPD have the uniforms from BTAS and you can see also Detective Montoya and Jack Ryder interviewing her :), Maps little hearts are taken from Karl Kerschl who used to do them on Gotham Academy a couple times, and finally the Grapple Gun reference from all the time Maps mentioned it on Gotham Academy 🙂‍↕️,ohh and the box of the gift was also the same feom Shadow of the Batgirl when Barbara gives her suit to Cass!
PAGE 7: Frank Miller’s Batman and Carrie Kelly cover 🙂‍↕️🫶
THANK U GUYS 🫶

Y/n's POV
People were getting missing in our Kingdom. We don't know what was exactly happening. But after some days of missing. Their dead bodies were found in the middle of our kingdom's jungle. And the horrifying thing is that their dead bodies don't look like they were killed by any human. And it doesn't seem like the work of any animals either.
Because those bodies don't have any animal attacking wounds it just looks as if someone took all the blood out of their bodies. That was terrifying! All the people of our Kingdom were going everyday to the castle of king Geto for help. But nothing much was happening... those incidents kept happening.
I didn't get deep into these , just kept my own safety.... until that one day came. Yuta okkotsu. He was my friend...my childhood friend and my best friend. We were so close friends. He was the only friend I had. His house was just beside my house. Both of us lived alone.
Yuta had a great obsession with mysteries. One night he came to me and said "y/n... I'm going out to find out what is happening in our Kingdom... who's killing these people... and I'm sure I'll find out" he said. "Yuta, are you mad or something?! You are not going anywhere! What if something happened to you?!" I said.
"oh y/n don't worry! Nothing's gonna happen... I've already researched something about these..." He said. "You researched what?" I asked. "Come sit.. I'll tell you" he said and I sat beside him. "I researched about this incident by meeting those dead people's family and with some books...do you know what I found out?" He asked.
"what?" I asked. "I'm not totally sure but I think there's a vampire... who's doing these things" he said. " Vampire? You mean that mythological creature?" I asked. "Yes yes... exactly!" He replied. "But how do you know?" I asked. "Look first let me tell you about vampires" he said.
"vampires are creatures who have fangs and they sucks blood from humans or animals with their fangs. They are mostly active at night and they can't walk in the sunlight... The sunlight burns them...but they found a solution for it... there's a pendant. Not everyone but Some vampires have it... and what I read from the book it's a silver pendant which has some power to keep them protected from the sunlight... they can walk in the sunlight if they have it" yuta explained.
"Yuta that's even more dangerous! Please don't go!" I said. "Y/n please... it's the first time I'm getting a chance for an adventure... please" he said. "I know... but what if something happens to you?!" I said. "Nothing will happen... I'm gonna come back home quickly....I promise" he said. "Okay .... but you should keep your promise!" I said. "I'll " he replied and went out.
That's the last time we talked. And as I feared he went missing like the others... but nobody found his body so there's still hope he's alive. I was crying from the morning. He's the only one I had. How can I let him go? I told him not to go... but he didn't listen to me....
The next morning I decided to go to the castle with the other people who were going there to complain. I went there. The castle was so gorgeous from the inside. So many people were already there. Then the king entered and sat on the throne. That's the first time I saw him. He looks dangerously gorgeous. His every feature was so gorgeous.
"speak" he said looking at the common people in front of him. "My lord it kept happening..... help us my lord" people said. I was watching from behind. "How many times are y'all gonna complain about the same thing?" He responded. "But my lord, we all are terrified" people said. "I told you I'm doing my work for this case... don't tell me this everyday" Geto replied.
His reply made my blood boil. How dare he? We're his people... he's supposed to protect us! And he's talking like he doesn't even care... My only friend got missing.... how can he say that? "How can you just talk like that as if you don't even care?!" I said loudly. Everyone looked at me.
"hey... he's our king" one of those people said. "No I won't shut up! My friend went missing yesterday too! And our king's acting like he doesn't want to help us! My friend Yuta investigated this thing and got information that these murders could be held by a vampire! And this king can't?!" I said loudly. Everyone was silent.
I didn't even pay attention to what I just said because I was so frustrated. "What's your name, miss?" Geto asked. "Y-y/n" I replied. "Miss y/n, come here please" he said. Fuck what did I just said! Is he gonna put me in prison? I thought and went towards the throne.
I stood in front of him. I was looking at the floor and wishing not to get imprisoned. He took my hand. "What were you saying about vampires?" He asked. "M-my friend Yuta...who got missing... h-he found some evidence that those murders are done by some vampire" I replied to geto.
"vampire... I see" he responded. "What do you know about vampires?... maybe that information is gonna help me to find your friend" he said. That gave me some more hope. "I don't know too much but..." I continued and looked at him "vampires are creatures who have fangs and they sucks blood from humans or animals with their fangs. They are mostly active at night and they can't walk in the sunlight... The sunlight burns them.... Not every vampires but Some vampires have a-" I was about to complete my sentence but I paused.
My eyes widened when I saw the pendant on his neck. That was the exact same pendant Yuta explained to me. "Some vampires have a? What?" Geto asked. I gulped. He's a vampire??? So everything is happening here... he's the one who's doing it? "I-i.... I forgot... those are the only information I know about them" I replied.
He smirked looking at me. Oh no no no! Does he know? Did he understand that I know he's a vampire? I asked myself. "Do you leave alone?" He asked. "H-hmm" I replied. "I think you need safety... your friend is already missing... what if you're the next target? And beside.... you're pretty too... you can easily be the target" he whispered leaning towards me.
"you're staying here until we find your friend... guards take her to....my room" he ordered. Oh no no no! This can't be! This is bad! But I can't even say no! What if he hurts Yuta more?! Okay y/n...clam down... it'll be okay... guards will be here too! I told myself. Then those guards took me to a room.
I was in a room. The guards closed the door. I know Geto is a vampire. I'm sure he is! But what can I do? He's way more stronger than me... and the worst thing is he knows that I know he's a vampire. Fuck! He's gonna come anytime now... what am I gonna do now???
I was looking around and noticed that all the windows of that room were covered with curtains. I got an idea. I took a deep breath. Okay y/n clam down... you can do it you can do it.... just believe in yourself! It'll be just one chance... I told myself.
It was day time. The sunlight was coming in the room. I pulled all the curtains. Now the room was filled with sunlight. A few minutes passed then the door opened. And as I thought it was Prince Geto himself. He smirked and closed the door. "So?... feeling safe here?" He asked.
I gulped my nervousness and cleared my throat. "Y-yes" I replied. "Great" he said and walked towards me then sat on the bed. "Please take a seat here" he said patting on the bed. I sat down. "Now answer my question and tell me the truth... okay?" He said. I nodded.
"you know.... don't you?" He said. I cursed myself under my breath. "W-what?" I asked. "Oh come on... don't try to be innocent...we both know that you know" he said shifting towards me. I clenched the bedsheet. "Now tell the truth and maybe I'll tell you where your friend is" he said.
My heart thumped. Now he's gonna blackmail me?! "I-i know" I said. He smirked. "That's better...go on... tell me what you know?" He said and played with my hair. "T-that you are a.... vampire" I replied. His smirked widened. "Brain with a pretty face.... what else can be more attractive?" He said looking at me.
He leaned towards me. "Your friend is still alive... I'll let him be free if you agree with my one condition" he said. A relief washed over me when I heard that Yuta is alive. "What is it? Tell me " I asked. "Be mine" he said. I was almost speechless. "W-what?" I asked. He again leaned towards me. "Give me your pretty body and I'll let your friend free" he said.
Hi face was too close to mine. He looked at my lips then again in my eyes. My hand was shaking. I took a deep breath. Ok y/n it's the time do it! I told myself. And within a moment of time I snatched away his pendant from his neck. The room was already filled with sunlight. His eyes widened and his smirk vanished.
He screamed. His skin started burning. He fell on the floor. "Nooooooooooooo" he screamed. Smoke started coming from his body. He tried to move from the sunlight but it was everywhere. He punched on the floor. He looked at me. "I'm gonna burn your friend!!!!!! Give me that pendant backkkkk!!!!!!" He screamed.
I went to the door. But It was locked. I couldn't break it. "Fucking stop it!!!! I'm dying!!!" He continued screaming. I finally managed to break the lock. "P-Please stop!!!! It's hurting me!!!!" He screamed and cried. "I'll let him go... please give it back!" He almost sobbed. I knew he was lying and he wouldn't do that... I run to exit from the castle.
I couldn't find the exit. I realised the sun already went down. Then I heard a groaning sound and footsteps coming from the direction of the room I was in. It's him. I could feel it was Geto. I quickly ran to the next room and closed the door. I silently stand there.
"where's she?! Where's that bitch?!" I heard him screaming from outside. My heart was racing. And what could get worse? A flower vase fell on the floor by accident. I cursed myself. But nothing can be changed now! And before I could do anything Geto broke the door and went inside the room.
I looked at the door. He was already looking at me. In the blink of an eye he was standing in front of me. His half body was burnt. But it was healing now. "It was simple....too much simple... but no! You had to be a bitch and choose the hard way.... now let me show you the hard way" he said with grinded teeth. Then grabbed my hair and pulled me out of that room.
He dragged me inside and locked the door. He turned towards me. "Now now....you proved that you ARE a bitch" he said and threw me on the bed.He started crawling towards me."please stop" I said and tried to push myself backwards but he grabbed my leg and pulled me towards him. I gasped. He was still smirking."stop?... Where's the fun then? The fun part is about to began ~" he whispered and crashed his lips on mine.
I tried to push him away but his grip was too strong. I can't even move myself. He was kissing me too roughly. I couldn't breathe. He grabbed the hem of my dress and pulled it over my head. He looked at my naked body with lust in his eyes and didn't waste any time, crashed his mouth on my breast licking, sucking and teasing the nipple and squeezing the other one with his hand. I moaned in the sensation. I grabbed his hair and tried to stop him by pulling it but it didn't even affect him. "P-Please stopppp" I screamed but he didn't stop.
Then he looked at my pussy. He rubbed his finger on my clit and whispered " so wet. Is my slut being needy now? Doesn't she wanna help her friend now?~". Then he licked my pussy. I couldn't help but moan loudly. He smirked at my reaction. "Please let him go..." I begged him. "Do you think you still have a chance to beg me after you did that with me?!" He said and undo his pants.
He positioned himself. "P-Please don't" I said. He rubbed the tip on my clit. "Shhhh" He said with a smirk and slammed his length inside me. I screamed. He let out a groan. "F-fuck... you feel like heaven!" He moaned.
He started thrusting in and out roughly. I was through my legs with pain and begging him to stop. "You don't know...you don't know how much I wanted this....fuckkkk....it feels so good" he moaned loudly. His thrust became harder and harder.
"can your friend make you feel like this?... Can he?... " he said. He kissed my neck. He thrust more roughly. "It's hurting.... I-It's hurting too much " I sobbed.
I clenched around him tightly and he moaned loudly " ughhhhhh....ahhh s-so...ahhhh....so f-fucking tight " he started rubbing my clit with his thumb and I bite his shoulder scratched his back to control myself. With a few more thrust I came. He was still thrusting roughly. "I want blood....let me feed on you" he said.... "N-No please " I cried out. "I'll let your friend go... he's still alive" he said with a smirk and pulled out his frangs and dug them on my neck. I screamed in the pain. But he was being gentle while feeding on me. I felt his cock pulsing inside me. Within a minute he came inside me I could feel his seed inside me. He pulled out. My vision blurred out.
He licked my neck after he was done drinking my blood. "Sleep well... how can I let a gorgeous thing like you go...?" He whispered and kissed my neck.
