After listening to the Butcher episode again, there’s a part of me that wonders if the Butcher was going to cut off the hand John has control of (he did ask about the finger), and how that would have gone.

Given Arthur can’t feel that hand, his response would have probably appeared off (especially if he was also responding to John who would have felt it) to the Butcher.

(to be clear, I’m glad things were interrupted before that point. I just really liked having an outside perspective on Arthur & John while knowing what most characters don’t).

Oh that's an interesting question... I think his reaction can roughly be split into two categories:

well i, for one, wants to know where ra's al ghul's arc is heading. Like hes so funny to me.

He got betrayed and attacked one time on screen and decide "you know what this whole supervillain/demons head/leader of the league of assassins thing just isnt worth it"

And then he just gave up?? like hes not the leader of the loa anymore, hes not a member of the light anymore and the last time we saw him he provided therapy sessions for three people who clearly need it

Also like his dynamic to jason like in the comics hes like "GET JASON TODD OUT OF MY SIGHT HES A MENACE TO SOCIETY AND I DONT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH HIM" and here hes like "Jason its time for your 5 pm therapy session come sit we have to get your memory back"

Like my guy in the comics is a constant threat to batman and co, meanwhile his yj counterpart is just like chilling on his island with his daughter and two grandsons, providing therapy sessions. Like heh???

Like between arkham knight and under the red hood, we have had two jasons who were powered by two different goals. Arkham knight, he wanted revenge cause Bruce abandoned him/didnt look for him. UtRH, he wanted to know why joker was still alive. So clearly while we still have the motive of why he was replaced, i think the writers are gonna write a different goal which is gonna be more closely related to his death (like otherwise why keep it a mystery all these years) . Like who knows maybe Jason was angry at Bruce before he even died. Or maybe since the show is more focused on the younger heroes it will be Dick or Tim hes mad at (more likely dick than tim)

Mnemosyne Island rooted itself into his mind, and he groaned as the map's information saturated through his limbs that ached. He brought himself up onto his two feet, crossing his arms and tapping his finger impatiently. Sonic needed a quick breather to recuperate after that previous Titan battle and subsequent falling, and yet he was moving right after he exhaled the words, "I need to hurry and look around."

Sprinting through the abundant profusions of grass of dirt, Sonic fervently searched until he came across the familiar crimson encasement that kept his friends hostage.

As Sonic approached closer, his chest constricted—harrow threading within the confines and making his quills stand on edge. "I finally found you! I found you, [Name]!!" Sonic babbled to himself over and over again as his movements sped up even quicker.

The patchwork of relief and anguish only festered when Sonic heard your quivering, faint voice plead:

"I-Is someone there? Can you please help me?!"

"Angel, it's okay. I'm here," Sonic assured despite knowing you could scarcely hear him. Seeing you confined and in pain like this made him remember why the numbness in his legs was meaningless.

With no hesitation, Sonic reached out and absorbed the corruption.

Pain pervaded, rippling over every inch of his being, and Sonic gritted his teeth through it all, witnessing as your digitized body floating down onto the ground.

Gyrating on your heel, your breath hitched in your throat as you saw Sonic. "Sonic! You came for me!" And you dashed forward to wrap your arms around him in a hug, yet you found yourself tripping over your own feet when your frame passed through him—like you were a ghost.

Sonic sucked in a breath; a tormented, stinging one. Tears seared at his eyes, converging on his lashes as his jaw hurt from clenching so hard.

Incapable of keeping you waiting at all, Sonic pivoted around and bent down to your height. A strained smile curved on his lips as he looked at you, you who wore a devastated expression. And he couldn't even notice that you looked even worse when you seen his torn up mien. Because he was too focused on soothing you, on making sure you felt secure.

If anything happened to you, Sonic knew he couldn't go on.

ichiro and kuukou’s conversation about akira and satoru this episode briefly confused me so i decided to compile what we know about our primary rhyme anima antagonists lol

a group of four by the names of kaibyakumon kikoku, chiaro, scuro and tbh

we know chiaro and scuro are aliases for kasago akira and wakasagi satoru, but they themselves have no recollection of their true names

tbh is implied to know their real identities however. he and very likely kikoku are concealing their identities for a number of reasons

tbh is the only one of the four whose real name we don’t know yet, if he has one lol

kikoku created, simply put, a sister company, called beginning gate that the four of them worked for. the parent company to beginning gate was called bg group. at some point tho, it all vanished without a trace

ramuda for some reason or another seems to be familiar with beginning gate given he reacted to the name during the tdd rundown

our antagonists purposefully targeted the chuuoku director of corrections, and maybe during that attack, all files related to akira and satoru were wiped

kikoku is an engineering genius and hitoya and jakurai’s old college classmate

presumably because of his genius, they can float, open portals to teleport and mind hack to some degree with the hypmics

bc of this they keep getting compared to ghosts; we even got jakurai and kuukou supplanting the idea of the second death, where the person dies and all memory of the person also dies

rei said the mics were untampered with, so we’re to assume all mics involved are normal

there is still the pointed existence of the tbh truck that drives around playing their music

kikoku has been shown hooked up to several IVs as he watches his plans come together, seated beside whatever tf this is. i’m not a biology chick but it kinda gave, to me at least, binucleated cells that’s typical of cancer

he’s also been shown in conjunction with jellyfish. immortality symbolism maybe???

akira and satoru seemed to have been under the bg group/beginning gate’s protection based on kuukou and ichiro’s conversation. tho they seemed to occasionally get into fights anyway (i personally suspect bc of said protection lol) presumably once beginning gate fell, they lost said protection
