take care | s.a
Tumblr media
summary: you get absolutely hammered at a party with your bestfriend, caitlyn, and you call your girlfriend to the rescue when your exhaustion hits you out of nowhere. sevika takes care of your intoxicated state and the groggy morning after.
pairing: fem!reader x sevika arcane
contains: slight modern!au (they use cell phones), established relationship, alcohol consumption, cait & mel being BAD BITCHES, fluff, mentions of suggestive content, sevika being so attentive and patient <3
word count: 2.9K
a/n: absolutely self-indulgent, i wrote this the day after recovering from a hangover LMAO <3 i hope you all enjoy!!
Tumblr media
You truthfully couldn’t remember the last time you had gotten as drunk as you were at this very moment. A friend of your best friend's had invited you two out to this warehouse party-club situation. You were hesitant at first, not knowing if you had that in you but the second you arrived at the apartment of the friend, who you found out was named Mel, and they were pregaming with Fireball and Malibu shots, you knew you were incredibly fucked.
You had a great time, granted.
Your best friend, Caitlyn, Mel, and you made new friends amid the crowd. The girls were so lovely, throwing compliments on hair, makeup, and outfits back and forth.
Before you knew it you had made your way onto the stage with the DJ, telling him to play a certain selection of songs. He even lets you queue them up on his laptop. You huff as you realize that you want to go home but Mel was talking to some tall man who was quite handsome off stage in a corner and Caitlyn was with you on stage but she was busy talking to a red-haired butch that was covered in tattoos on the other side of the large stage.
You reach lazily into your back pocket, pulling out your phone to call your girlfriend. You blink rapidly to try and focus your eyes on your screen, leaning a bit to one side as if that would help your slightly blurry vision due to both your intoxication and the number of strobe lights.
You successfully press the call button and hold the speaker up to your ear as you take slow steps over to Caitlyn, tapping her bare shoulder as she is wearing a rosewood red lace tank and a short black skirt. You mutter an apology to someone you bumped into as you tap on her shoulder again.
She turns her head around to see you holding up your phone to your ear, furrowing her brows.
“Wait, darling, who are you calling?” Caitlyn shouts over the music, one hand on the girl’s shoulder that she was talking to and the other brushing her long blue hair over her ear.
“Sevik– Hi, baby!” You beam as the line clicks, cutting yourself off before nodding to Caitlyn and mouthing, ‘Sevika’.
You think you hear a little bit of shuffling on the other line before you shake your head with a frown, looking up at your best friend. The line clicked off so you assumed you needed to go somewhere quiet to be able to talk to the woman you loved.
“Cait, wait a minute. I’m gonna,” you take a deep breath to stabilize yourself, holding a hand out to make sure you don’t face plant onto the ground. “‘M gonna go just a little bit outside so that Sev can pick us up. I’ll be righ’ back, okay?”
“No, no, you’re not going alone. Wait right here. Do not move.”
The taller woman turns to the butch she was talking to, sending her a quick flirty smile before leaning down to say something in her ear. You wait patiently for her, looking down at your screen again to see a few message notifications from Sevika.
from sevi ❤︎ | Babe, is everything okay?
from sevi ❤︎ | You did mean to call me, right?
from sevi ❤︎ | Please text me, my love. I’m getting a bit worried.
Your heart aches at the bright reminders that you have a girlfriend: who cares about your well-being. You look up to see Caitlyn placing a kiss to the woman's cheek before handing her back her phone. You swore even being as drunk as you were, you could tell how flustered that woman was. You understood though.
Caitlyn is fucking stunning.
“We grab Mel and we head outside, okay? I see her right there.” Caitlyn’s long arm hooks on yours, a big of a smug grin on her face.
“She was hot! You gave her your number right?” You squeal as you carefully step down with Caitlyn to the ground level once again.
A wave of nausea washed over you as you attempted to balance yourself out. You believe Caitlyn confirmed the fact that she had gotten the butch’s number but the next thing you remember is being face-to-face with Mel and the man she had been talking to.
She tells you his name, leaning in to shout it in your ear.
“Jay? Hi Jay! You are very handsome,” you shout in his face, a stupid smile on your face.
The man’s face twists in amusement at your state and looks at Mel with a softer expression. “H-Hi! It’s Jayce but thank you.”
Your mouth forms into an ‘o’ at how you misheard the name, stuttering out apologies. He waves it off, telling you it's okay.
“I think someone’s calling you,” the man, Jayce, points to your phone that was buzzing in your hand.
You look down at it, muttering a curse as it was Sevika calling you once again and you are still inside the loud crowded warehouse.
“Meli, we’ve got to go outside for a moment. Sevika’s calling her,” Caitlyn placed a hand on Mel’s forearm.
Mel looked between you and Jayce, excusing herself to the man and reassuring him that she’d be right back. He told her it was fine and to not worry about it. You couldn’t hold back your awe and wave ‘bye’ at Jayce as Caitlyn and Mel now had one arm hooked on either one of yours as the three of you made your way outside.
“I’ll call her back,” Caitlyn reaches for your phone that was gripped tightly in your hand.
You easily allow her to take it from you, resting your head on Mel’s shoulder as the fresh air hits you the second you step outside. You hum a random tune as Mel rests her head on your head too, rubbing her free palm on your hand.
Caitlyn took a step away from you two to dial Sevika on your phone again to let her know that you were fine and just wanted to go home. Within minutes after ringing her back, Sevika was in her beaten town truck just across the street. You gasped at the sight of it, even in your drunken state, you were able to recognize the familiar vehicle.
Sevika walks over to you three, greeting Mel and Caitlyn first before allowing you to wrap your arms around her torso to lean into her touch. You held yourself up weakly, stumbling over the curb.
“Sevika,” you sigh with a slight groan.
“Yeah, baby, I’m here. We’re gonna go home,” the taller of you two leaned down to press a kiss to your damp temple from your sweat.
“We’ll see you on Monday. I’ll call you tomorrow to make sure you’re okay.” Caitlyn assures you with a sweet grin, leaning back into Mel now that you are clinging to your girlfriend.
“Wait, who’s taking you home? I don’ want you guys to be here alone,” you look up at Sevika and point your finger over her shoulder to her truck. “Let’s take ‘em home, baby.”
Mel and Caitlyn are quick to assure you and your girlfriend that the man that they were previously talking to would take them home as he was the DD for his best friend that he was with that night. You stare unable to remember for a moment who they were talking about.
“Ohhh, Jaycey boy! He seems really nice, Meli. I’m so happy for you,” you nod in approval with a thumbs up as you lean into Sevika’s chest.
“She has our locations, Sevika,” Caitlyn tells your girlfriend, hinting to her to check it every once in a while to make sure the man wouldn’t take them anywhere they weren’t supposed to.
Sevika nods in understanding, sternly telling the two to please be safe. Mel showed a photo of Jayce to Sevika to make sure she knew who this man was. Your mind only had bits and pieces of that night that you were able to remember.
For instance, after Sevika had picked you up, you couldn’t remember the drive home whatsoever. What you do remember is begging Sevika to get some Nacho Fries and a frozen Baja Blast.
You reached over her lap from the passenger's seat to tell the worker your order, Sevika placing a hand on your lower stomach to keep you steady so you wouldn’t fall forward and hit your face on the car door.
“Wait, Sevi, do you wan’ anything?” You turn your back into the car to look at your girlfriend.
“No, I’m okay. Thank you, baby.” she leans forward to kiss your side before patting your hip to motion for you to sit back down.
“Mm okay,” you hum before telling the worker that should be everything and snuggle back down into your seat.
After paying for the food and handing it to you in the passenger's seat, Sevika told you that you were almost home and you could eat it then. You didn’t listen and ate all of the fries in her car and hounded down the Baja Blast with ease.
Thankfully, your shared apartment was only a few minutes away from Taco Bell.
Sevika had opened your passenger's side door when you arrived, holding back an amused at the giddy expression on your face. She held her arm out for you to grasp onto as you stepped down onto the concrete of the road. You hum to yourself as you look up at Sevika, raising your free hand to pat her broad shoulder.
“Baby, would it be so bad if we…?” You trail off as you giggle to yourself at the thought.
“If we what?” Sevika hums back as her arm slithers around your waist to hold you up as the two of you make your way to your apartment.
Sevika internally cursed as she knew you wouldn’t want to go up all of the stairs. You two lived on the fourth floor.
“Well, I don’t know. What we woul’ usually be doing on a Friday– Oh!”
You yelp as Sevika wraps her arms around your waist to hoist you up and over her shoulder, cutting off your words. Your hands rest on her lower back, grinning mischievously to yourself at the sight of her skin.
“You don’t feel like throwing up?” Sevika questions as she holds your thighs down with one of her forearms.
“Nuh-uh. ‘M lovin’ this view though,” you chuckle to yourself as you stare at her ass, blinking a bit to focus your vision.
Sevika shakes her head knowingly, smiling at your giggles the whole way up the stairs. She even felt your hands caressing her strip of skin that was exposed from her slightly cut-off t-shirt.
“You’re having fun down there?” She questions as she approaches your front door, reaching into her front pocket to pull out her keys.
You merely smack her ass to confirm her suspicions to which she lightly smacks your own with a: “Keep your hands to yourself.”
You twiddle with a loose string coming from the shirt as she carries you into your cool apartment, tossing her keys into the bowl near the front door. She kicks the door shut with her foot with a soft grunt, scaring you for a moment at the sudden movement.
“Baby, lock the door for me, please?” She asked you, scooting backward a few steps.
You lift your head, steadying yourself with one weak hand on her lower back as you reach for the three knobs. You twist each of them to the right with a soft click. Sevika kisses the side of your hip that is next to her face and thanks you before making her way down the hall to your shared bedroom.
“Sevi, I think I’m gonna throw up a little,” you warn her, hiccuping a bit.
Sevika’s eyes widen at your words as she carefully sets you down on your feet, holding your hips to lead you to the bathroom. You cover your mouth as you stumble to kneel next to the toilet, hunching over as you wait for the vomit to hit the water. Sevika quickly took her place next to you as she pushed back your falling strands of hair, gathering it in a ponytail in her fist.
“Let it out if you need to. It’s okay if you can’t,” she rubs your back with the other hand, wincing at your gagging.
You groan as you shake your head, eyes watering at the fact that it wasn’t coming up.
“It’s not– I can’t. I though’ I could, Sevi,” you frown up at her as you slump against the wall in front of the seat.
Sevika shushes you as she releases your hair and takes your hands into her larger ones, urging you to stand up.
“It’s okay. Let’s just get you to bed,” she instructs you gently.
You nod slowly, sniffling as you let her lead you back into the bedroom. You remember her carefully removing your ‘party clothes’ and putting one of her sleeping tees on you. She knew how much you adored them so at least you would have that to wake up to. She grabbed some of your micellar water and a rag to remove what was left of your makeup, holding your jaw in your hand as you kept trying to lay down once the comfier clothing was on.
After doing the usual night routine, you plopped down onto the mattress with a satisfied sigh as she snuggled your cheek into the pillowcase.
“Night, baby,” you hum as you smack your lips.
“Good night, my love,” she teases as she places a kiss on your cheek before rounding the bed to lie down on her side.
You pretty much passed out as soon as Sevika had lifted the covers over you two, mouth ajar and limbs awry.
You were never drinking again.
You thought as you carefully sat upright in your bed, squinting your eyes hard as the light from the morning sun was blinding you through your thin curtains. The headache and nausea hit you all at once as you covered your mouth, afraid of the bile that might escape. You wait a few seconds to make sure you aren’t actually going to throw up. Your eyes follow to your bedside table as you reach over to grab your phone, your movements slow as ever.
As you squint your eyes to focus on the screen, you see a few messages from Caitlyn and Mel; telling you they made it home and they were in fact not kidnapped. You then shift your eyes to the numbers at the top.
It was 9 o’clock in the morning; way too fucking early for the night you had.
You grunt as you gradually lay back down, wanting to stay still for the next three hours to not trigger the pounding headache to worsen. You peer over your bedroom door to see that it was left halfway open, the sound of footsteps coming down the hallway. Not to your surprise, it was Sevika with a small tray of food for you. You could hear her whisper a curse as she tried her hardest to not spill the coffee on it.
“Sevika?” You call out to her, your groggy and strained voice making your head hurt.
“You’re awake. Good morning,” Sevika tells you with a knowing and sympathetic smile.
You groan in response to her words, wanting to grab the pillow you were laying your head on and shield your face.
“I want to sleep,” you say right off the bat, frowning at her as you try to recollect the events of the previous night.
“I know, my love but can you eat this for me? You’ll feel better once you have food in you.”
Your girlfriend slowly sits herself down on the empty space next to you; her side of the bed. You knew she was right but you felt like you had to use so much energy just to sit upright, let alone eat.
And chew.
And drink.
It all sounded so… bothersome. But then you feel Sevika leaning over to press a few kisses onto your cheek and jaw, a hand rubbing up and down your arm that was out from under the comforter. You shut your eyes as you sigh at the feeling, wishing the kisses could push away your hangover.
“15 minutes,” she places one kiss on your jaw, “and then,” another to your nose, “you can sleep all day.”
You pretend as if you weren’t already set on eating as she continues to kiss as gently as possible every square inch of your face. Your smile grows as you force out a grumbled ‘fine’ as you steadily sit upright so that your back is resting on the headboard.
“You’re too good to me, Sev,” you tell her as you rub your tired eyes, yawning as she places the tray in your lap.
Sevika hums in agreement, playfully tapping underneath your chin with a hooked finger.
“Just eat. Then I’ll leave you alone, I promise.”
“No,” you reach for her hand, intertwining your fingers. “Never leave me alone.”
Sevika can’t help the smitten flush that covers her face as she takes your intertwined hands to kiss the back of yours.
“Never.”
You weakly smile at that before digging into your eggs, toast, fruit, and Tylenol with a long and collected sigh, enjoying the flavors of it all. You look down at your sleeping attire, feeling warm at the fact that it was Sevika’s.
Whether it was drunk, sober, or mind-numbingly hungover, she always took care of you.

Damsel in Distress
summary: every once in a while you need rescuing. melissa is usually there.
WC: ~2.4k
Tumblr media
It’s a well known fact that Melissa Schemmenti is not the warmest and fuzziest soul that walks the Abbott halls- by both students and teachers alike. Of course, there were always people that she felt comfortable letting her guard down around, and each and every student would venture to say that while the redhead was quite the opposite of her counterpart, Janine Teagues, Melissa Schemmenti was fiercely loving and protective when push came to shove.
So when you start your career as a first grade teacher opposite Gregory Eddie, you’re warned right away of the rough and tough teacher.
“Melissa… she’s my girlfriend’s grade level partner,” Gregory informs you during the staff meeting that morning. “And she’s going to try to push you around. Don’t let her tough Philly streets kind of personality turn you off from her- she’s got a good heart.”
Your gaze follows his finger, where he’s pointing to his friends as they walk in. And because he’s in with them, they come and take a seat with you.
“Who’s the newbie?” Melissa immediately questions as she rolls her eyes. Oh, wow- her eyes sparkle despite the fact that she looks less than enthused to be here. “And how long is she going to be here before she runs outta here like everyone else?”
“Melissa,” Barbara, the kindergarten teacher Gregory had told you about, scolds as she gently smacks the redhead’s perfectly manicured nails. “Be nice. We need all the help we can get around here.”
“Y/N,” you smile charmingly. “And hopefully a long time.”
“What makes you say that?” the second grade teacher challenges as she sits across from you.
You shrug. “I grew up around here. I know how it goes.”
“You? You grew up around here?” Melissa challenges as she gets a look at your appearance. You’re dressed quite nicely. “How’d you make it out and do this well for yourself and then fall back to teaching?”
“I’ve actually been teaching for a few years,” you hum out. “Still live in South.”
“You from South?” You just nod before turning your attention to the meeting that seems to be beginning.
When you told the redhead that you were planning on staying at Abbott for a long time, you meant it. Working in a district and a school like this is where you’ve always done your best work. You’ve been around. Working in the suburbs of Philadelphia is an entirely different job. You’ve worked with rich kids, who you honestly had a hard time connecting with. You’ve worked with middle class kids who were somewhat grateful for the work that you did, but there was still an aura of entitlement that you just did not appreciate in the slightest. You’ve worked in districts similar to the greater Philadelphia area. But when push comes to shove, your heart belongs to the city of brotherly love, and you pounced at the opportunity to come back to the city.
In the time that you’ve been at Abbott, you’ve been able to do wonders for your students. Yes, Jacob and Janine bring wonderful new ideas to the somewhat stuck in the past school, but there’s something about you that just… makes it all work. The other difference between you and the other two younger teachers? You’re a bit more… realistic- jaded. You, unlike the other younger teachers- your grade level partner included, understand that some things simply don’t go according to plan. And when plans don’t pan out the way you quite hope or expect them to, you simply adapt with grace and elegance that doesn’t get past Barbara or Melissa. Even Ava, the principal who is known for her lack of attention, picks up on the fact that there’s something special about your teaching.
And when Melissa Schemmenti realizes that you genuinely were planning on sticking around for a while and saw your work, she was on your side wholeheartedly.
While you’ve done amazing things for your students and been praised up and down by the district, there are still a few teachers who have somewhat of a gripe with you, claiming that you’re changing too much all at once for them to keep up with you. They state that you’re bringing in new methods that simply won’t work for their students- because why would you fix what isn’t broken?
And that’s exactly what you’re speaking about during your share out time at the staff meeting today. You have quite a few visual learners in your class, as well as students who learn through experience.
“So, as Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences goes,” you say from your spot. “Everybody has different strengths in how they they learn.”
Gregory smiles. He had taught Janine physics in that way- that everyone plays to a different strength when it comes to learning and picking up new skills.
“And I have quite a few visual learners, so as opposed to just lecturing, I’ve found that connecting it to real world situations that my first graders will understand and drawing it on the board will help. I’ve also come to realize that many of my students grasp ideas through the art of doing. So, for example, when we were learning about the phases of the moon, I found that a lot of my kiddos understood the cycle more clearly when we used an oreo to model it. In having a visual, auditory, and kinesthetic-”
“Now why are you trying to make us work harder?” one of the third grade teachers pipes up and interrupts you. “What I’ve been doing for a decade seems to still be working out for the most part.”
“Well,” you sigh as you bite your lip and glance to your group of friends. “The good thing about all of this is that most of us incorporate these different approaches without realizing it.”
“So then what’s the point of this share out, newbie?”
You go to respond when you feel a hand on your shoulder, and it isn’t Gregory’s or Jacob’s like you would expect. It’s not even Barbara. No, it’s Melissa.
“Why don’t you let her talk, Delores?” the gruff voice practically barks. “Just because we can sometimes inadvertently use these tactics doesn’t mean it’s not something we should draw attention to and try to do more consciously.”
“All I’m sayin is-”
“I don’t care what you’re saying,” Melissa growls. “Her lessons are a hell of a lot more effective than your boring ass lecturing, and maybe some of us would like to take a note or two about how we can improve our teaching.”
“Why are we trying to change the way we-”
“Did you ever realize that teaching is an ever-changing profession?” the redhead spits out. “That how we were taught doesn’t work anymore because there are always new practices and approaches coming out? Or did the nuns beat the sense out of you when you misbehaved in school?”
“Melissa,” you whisper and nudge her gently.
Green eyes turn to you. “Keep talkin’.”
Nobody dares to cross you again when it comes to your share outs during staff meetings again.
It’s later at lunch that you approach the topic of what happened in the library earlier today.
“Thank you for standing up for me,” you smile at Melissa while your lunch is in the microwave. “I really appreciate it.”
“It was nothin’,” the second grade teacher tells you with a wave of the hand. “I’ve been wanting that ol’ bat to retire for ages now, and I think she might now that she’s realizing she can’t keep up with the way the education world is going.”
It’s a few weeks later when Melissa Schemmenti stands up for you again- on a matter that you really expected her to be opposed on.
This morning, you had woken up a bit late, so instead of your usual sandwich and salad for lunch, you’re stuck with a bag of chips, a handful of grape tomatoes, and a stick of string cheese.
And while you’re eating quietly, Janine is making a fuss over it.
“Melissa, get on her!” the shorter second grade teacher huffs. “She’s eating what I eat!”
The redhead glances over at your rather unconventional meal and sighs. “That’s your lunch?” You just nod, preparing yourself to be berated by Melissa. But she doesn’t. Instead, she simply shrugs and turns her attention back to her phone.
“Melissa!” Janine admonishes.
“What, pipsqueak? She usually has a decent lunch. We all have our days of going back to the basics.”
“This is ridiculous!”
You just chuckle when you see that Melissa is silently portioning her own meal and sliding you half of it.
Once again, you’re sitting in the library for a staff meeting where Ava has asked you to share out how you teach english language arts- a subject that your students are excelling in because of your unique approach to the sometimes difficult concepts. And once again, Delores is doing everything in her power to diminish your successes.
“Would you just shut up?” Melissa intervenes. “Ava asked her to speak out, and again, some of us aren’t old dogs like you who can’t learn new tricks.”
Your jaw practically drops at those biting words, but they do get your colleague to stop interjecting with criticism. Green eyes look to you again, and you have to hide the blush that wants to creep into your cheeks.
As luck would have it, after a rough staff meeting, your students are just not cooperating with you the way that you wish they would. You sigh softly as you lead them down to the lunch room before heading towards the faculty room for your own meal. It’s a Friday, which means that they’re already bouncing off the walls with the excitement for the weekend- but it’s also a long weekend, and you happen to know that Janiyah is having her birthday party that most of your students are attending. So they’re worse than they usually are on the last day of the school week.
You drop into your chair quietly, not yet reaching for your lunch bag. Instead, your fingers find their way to your temples, and you begin to rub them softly, hoping to alleviate some of the pain and discomfort.
“Rough day?” Melissa asks you quietly.
“Rough week,” you chuckle weakly. “After this morning, and then with the long weekend, my kids are giving me a run for my money today.”
“They’re menaces in my room today too,” the redhead tells you. “Sounds like you need a drink after work.”
You can’t help but feel inclined to agree. “Sure, why not?”
“Oscars, for happy hour?”
That’s how you end up at the local dive bar that your coworkers usually head to after a long week of work. Although this time, it’s oddly just the two of you. The rest of your friends already had plans. So, you’re sitting on one bar stool while your redheaded coworker is beside you, sipping your second margaritas.
“Damn,” you breathe out heavily. “I didn’t realize how much I needed this.”
“Me too,” Melissa sighs out. “I can only take so much of Delores and her bullshit… I don’t know how you put up with all of her shit. I can’t take it anymore.”
“I don’t quite think I’ve earned it yet enough to even attempt to put her in her place,” you laugh as you take another swig of your drink.
“I don’t even care anymore,” your colleague shrugs with no remorse. “Barb’s always tellin’ me I should try being nicer, but I don’t see the point; if she’s going to be rude, why can’t I?”
“Some people think that you should be nicer,” you giggle out as your gaze lingers on her lips. “Not me though. I think you’re perfect just the way you are.”
Maybe you should slow down the way that you’re drinking. You hadn’t meant for it to slip that you think she’s perfect.
Green eyes are rolled so hard you think they may get stuck. “You just say that because I always stick up for you.”
“And how nice is that?” You lean in and lay a gentle hand on her forearm, eyes once again flickering down to her full lips. “You’re perfect.”
“Am I?” the redhead chuckles as she finishes her second drink. She looks to you expectantly. Of course, you oblige her silent request and finish your own off despite the fact that you’ve thought about how you should slow down.
You’re able to get the bartender’s attention to order two more before turning back to Melissa. “I’d say you are. You’re- you’re funny, and smart, and sweet, and gorgeous.”
“Gorgeous?” A perfectly sculpted brow is lifted, a smirk apparent on the redhead’s face.
Your cheeks tint red. “I- I-”
“That’s quite the compliment coming from you,” the redhead says.
Your brows furrow in confusion. “What?”
“Someone as beautiful as yourself telling me that I’m gorgeous? Now that’s quite the compliment.”
“Y-you think I’m pretty?” you stammer out.
“Of course I-” The bartender places down your drinks in front of you, and Melissa pauses to thank him before turning back to you. “Of course I do. Why do you think I defend you all the time?”
“Because you’re nice?”
“Because you’re gorgeous,” the redhead corrects you. “And sometimes it’s fun rescuing the damsel in distress.”
“I am not a damsel in distress!” you protest.
“So you’re tellin’ me you want me to stop rescuing you from Delores?” Melissa asks you with a frown.
“N- no,” you stutter out. “I- I like when you do that.”
“Can I rescue you from something else?” the redhead leans in closely.
“And what would that be?”
“I’ll save you from yourself,” Melissa smiles as her eyes lower to your lips. She kisses you softly. “You’ve been staring at my lips since we got here. How long was it going to take for you to kiss me?”
You bite your lip before pulling her in softly again. When you pull away, you can’t help the laughter that bubbles up out of you. “Thank you for saving me from myself… and from the others.”
“Always will,” the redhead laughs as she pulls you in again.
And Melissa makes good on her words. Once the two of you begin dating, her fierce protectiveness of you only shines more. And each time, once the two of you are in the comfort of your own home, she’ll tease you quietly.
“My damsel in distress,” she’ll chuckle softly before pulling you in.

DT 01: Gym Encounters .ᐟ
Tumblr media
EP 01 | "Babe, what would you do if a girl approached you at the gym?" ╰ feat. gojo satoru, geto suguru, nanami kento, hiromi higuruma, choso kamo, toji fushiguro, sukuna ryomen, yuji itadori, megumi fushiguro, yuta okkotsu, inumaki toge (JJK)
tags - mostly crack, bit of fluff, tiktok trend, established relationship, playfully toxic just for the humor, slightly suggestive in nanami/hiromi/geto 's part, sukuna is violent what do you expect
MEGA MASTERLIST
DOING TRENDS MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
"What would I do?"
"Yeah." You don't give him a chance to prepare as you go into character, pretending to be another girl trying to shoot her shot at him at the gym. It was only then he realized he was being roped into more of your silliness.
What was he going to do now?
────────────
— Does everything wrong -> Toji (sus...) & Yuji (genuine lol)
He was always down to humor your antics, especially this one as it piqued his interest. His enthusiasm made you happy. But you should have known that happiness would be shortlived.
There was a smile already plastered on his face before you even approached. Although, you chalked it up to him anticipating the scenario and not ACTUALLY smiling at a random gym girl coming at him... because why? Just why?
"Heyyy," you drawl out. "Would you mind being my spotter for a bit? I'm trying out a new PR for my squats."
Of course. It had to be squats. To be fair, the right answer here, regardless of the exercise, was to say n—
"Sure."
What.
"Excuse me. What?" you say out loud.
He shrugged and simply repeated his words. "Sure. I can help you out. PR you say? That's great. Hitting your gym goals and whatnot."
Eyes were narrowed and fists were clenched. He doesn't even look like he was second guessing himself. You weren't in the mood to even continue at this point.
"Game's over. You failed by the way."
A look of genuine shock crossed his face as if he didn't just happily entertain this hypothetical gym girl. "What? How? I was so nice though?"
"That's the point!"
Dumbfounded, he tried tracing back his actions, figuring out what he did wrong. "Isn't being gentlemanly the point here?"
This time, it was you who was dumbfounded. "You... you thought... you thought this was a test to see how gentlemanly you were?"
How even...
He nodded, hoping that his nobleness would somehow change your mind. He's lucky you're feeling kind today. He might need to redeem himself another time though...
— Absolutely won the trend -> Nanami, Hiromi, Geto
He was a bit reluctant to do it at first—not because he wasn't willing to participate in your fun—in fact, he was always ready to do his best if you asked him of anything.
It's just that he doesn't find himself to be a convincing actor, even in this kind of situation.
"It's okay," you reassure him, "just act how you would if some random girl flirted with you at the gym."
He gave you an uneasy smile. "Alright... if it makes you happy, sweetheart."
Glad that he finally agreed, you put on your best flirty girl impression and walked over to him. You could still see the hesitance on his face, but you thought it was a bit funny.
"Hey there," you say, smiling. "I'm looking to improve myself... I'm sure a good looking guy like you would have some tips hm?"
A beat of silence passes before he laughs awkwardly, probably stalling to give himself some time. "I don't know about that. I'm not exactly a coach or anything."
The fact that he even responded made your eye twitch and your eyebrow raise. "Oh that's alright," you say sweetly. "I bet a even a professional pales in comparison with a body like tha—"
He immediately crosses his arms as if to conceal the goods—err... his massive pecs, rather. He offers a smile. But it wasn't at all friendly. There was a menacing edge to it—a cautionary smile, if you will.
"If you're really looking to improve your appearance then maybe you should ask my beautiful girlfriend instead. I'm sure her experiences will align better with yours, will it not?"
Your eyes widen for a second at his unexpected response. He managed to turn the girl down while boasting about you. Talk about hitting two birds with one stone.
You let out a low whistle in response. "Nice response. I liked that."
He lets out a breath he'd been holding in for a while, playfully clutching his chest in relief. "For a moment I thought I had failed."
"Failed? Baby you earned yourself a fun night tonight."
"Oh? Oh."
— Ignorance is bliss -> Megumi, Yuta, Inumaki
He goes quiet after you assume the role of another girl—one who has the guts to approach a guy like him who CLEARLY wants nothing to do with anyone else at the gym. There's a look in his eyes that's telling you, "I don't want to be bothered right now."
That earns him more points in your book, of course.
"A guy like you must know his way around the gym eh?"
No response. Well, if him turning his back is counted as a response, then that's just about it.
"What? You shy or something?"
Still nothing.
"Yoo hoo~ I'm talking to you?"
Not a word escapes him. Instead, he begins walking away. A goofy smile spreads across your face at his actions, proud that your boyfriend passed with flying colors.
But being the menace that you are—you decide to pester him more. It's not everyday you get to pretend to be some random girl trying to flirt with him.
You quickly follow behind him. "Aw c'mon don't be like that. I'm just trying to be friendly." You reach out to grab his arm but he quickly turns around with a condescending expression.
"Back off. My girlfriend's scary."
Instantly, you let go of his arm and it drops down to his side. "Seriously? Me? Why not say that you're the scary one?"
"Did I lie though?"
...
"Okay. Fair enough. You passed though!"
He sighs. He's sure he's going to have a head full of white hair at an early age...
BONUS (Inumaki): You prompt him to whip his face towards you as you grab his forearm. With practiced speed, he pulls his high collar down to reveal his mouth adorned with his cursed markings.
"Leave me alone," he mutters. Any louder and the effects would have been stronger. Obviously, it was still you that was playing pretend with him, but he needed to prove a point.
Your arm forcibly lets him go and your body turns the opposite on its own, beginning to walk away.
"This is kinda freaky," you said. "But good job!"
— Exaggerated but eh... guess it works -> Gojo & Choso
You muster up the best flirty expression you can and began approaching him. But before you could get any closer, he held out his hand to stop you.
"I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND!"
A look of confusion crosses your face—amused by his exaggerated reaction. "I haven't even said anything?"
"I know a temptress when I see one. Just so you know—a temptress is nothing compared to a goddess," he exclaims. "The goddess being my girlfriend, by the way," he explains before clearing his throat. He was so into it that even his voice had a different lilt to it.
Throughout that entire exchange, he kept his arm up, still stopping you in your place. Even the expression on his face was overstated. It was kind of... adorable in a strange way.
"You're just saying that because you know the context of the situation."
He shakes his head. "Nothing you say will change my mind."
"I'm not even pretending to be another girl anymore..."
"That's what a temptress would say!"
You held your hands up in defeat, offering him a lopsided smile. "Goddamn, okay, you win the trend. Jeez... you can stop pretending now..."
With that, his usual relaxed expression returns before he wraps you in a suffocating bear hug.
— You cannot post this to the internet... -> SUKUNA
As soon as you began walking towards him, hips swaying at every step—he stood up, towering over you.
His aura filled the atmosphere. You were only playing pretend, but somehow he was radiating intimidation like it was the real thing—like a woman was actually approaching him and disturbing his gym time.
"Hey, big boy, care to be my spotter?"
He scoffed, crossing his arms, clearly flexing them for the added effect. "Come any closer and the last thing you'll be spotting is my fist heading towards your face."
"PAUSE." Your jaw almost fell to the floor. This was all for shits and giggles, but knowing him, he might actually do that. "You know that a girl is approaching you, right?"
"Yes. And?"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'AND'?" Obviously, you weren't pretending anymore at this point. You were expecting him to simply ignore or maybe tell you to, "fuck off," but not downright ASSAULT.
"You asked me what I would do and I did. What else do you want from me, woman?"
He rendered you speechless. "Right... guess you did."
A deep sigh escapes you. This trend wasn't for him. But hey, at least you don't have to worry about him doing anything shady with flirty women at the gym...

Hey same person who asked for OP DILF x MILF reader
How about them reacting to MILF reader having a kid? (Even funnier if it was like luffy or zoro lol)
OP DILFS dating a MILF who has a kid
Characters: Mihawk, Doflamingo, Crocodile, Smoker,Shanks.
A/N: Two things. First one: i love this, i really had a good time writing it, you have great ideas my dear anon. Second one: exams are finally oveeeer, so i would be trying to update more than usual to get all the requests out of the hoven for everyone.
Masterlist
Dracule Mihawk
Tumblr media
After taking care of Zoro and Perona, he thinks that he is ready for everything.
One day you were both on the kitchen and he like ussual is reading paperwork.
"It looks like the new generation it's going strong, this kid seems a good swordsman." he shows you the picture.
"Drac, i think it's time for us to talk." he almsot felt fear for a moment, "that kid it's mine, not like you and Zoro, literally that is my son." his mind exploded, you never saw him that concerned.
"And when will you have said this to me?"
"I am telling you now... you know how difficult it's to date at our age, especcially being a woman who already has a kid?" he nodded and pushed you closer, "i planned on telling you soon, i just, didn't know how, i was expecting something like this to happen to have the oportunity to tell you.
"You are lucky i already have practice with that green haired boy... call him, we can set a dinner and i can meet him formally, maybe even bond?" you coudln't help but smile and kiss him.
Donquixote Doflamingo
Tumblr media
He already has experience with children since he literally adopted a lot of them.
One day someone robbed on the royal treasure chamber of Dressrosa and he was furious, he was looking for you to help him relax.
"My dove, i need some of your assistance on my d..."
"And when i tell you i date someone your best idea it's to rob him? you are lucky i found you and your stupid friends before he did? and.... " you finally became aware of his presence, but his eyes were already glued to the teenager.
You grabbed your child by the collar of the shirt and went to the door, your previous angry look bacame softer seen how Doflamingo's eyebrows were frowning.
"This is my son... i called him to Dressrosa so you could finally meet him but he decided to 'prove you'... i dont know what was on his mind. I have the treasure located and coming back to the chamber."
"You have a child." Doflamingo looked at the verge of an aneurysm, gritting his teeth.
"I do, please, don't punish him... i thake the responsability." his lips curled in a strange smile, like he was trying to fake it.
"I am honored to meet your son, it's impressive to know how skilled he is, maybe he can join court..." clearly Doffy was having a hard time trying not to kill you son.
Sr. Crocodile
Tumblr media
Experience 0, oblivious 100%
He was on his office, doing work and you appeared with your son.
"Croc..." he turned the chair and looked at you both, "dear, i told you i don't need more agents... i don't know how you contacted someone with such a high bounty but i don't need it." and he turned the chair again.
"This is my son..." Crocodile was thankfull for being backwards to you cause he choked on the cigar.
"Your what?"
"SIr Crocodile, i am (Y/N)'s son, i was hoping to meet you and bond a little, i wasn't expecting a job... but if you give it to me i am not going to complain."
"You already have a job as bounty hunter, don't try to take advantage of this." you poked your son's cheek under Crocodile's surprised look.
"I..." he cleared his throat, trying to sound serious and prepared, "pleasure to meet you child, i would have appreaciate it a warning."
"I warned you, i left a note on the fridge that said 'special meeting today, i have a surprise'" your son started to laugh.
"That sounded like a booty call, jajaja, maybe he was expecting you to come here in lingerie." you punched your son on the head to make him shut up.
"I can make a reserve on the restaurant we both like and i can know you better." he tried to sound profesional but your son was right, he tought you would give him a sexy surprise, not this.
Smoker
Tumblr media
He was really tired of dealing with teenage pirates.
He spent the last week chasing and fighting agaisnt a new supernova, he was tired and just wants to get home to you.
"Hello love." he said while hanging his uniform, then he got to the living room and saw that same supernova playing cards with you, "i don't know what you are doing here bastard but you are not going to hurt my..."
"Relax old men, i was just paying a visit to my mother." Smoker got his mind reset.
"Smoker sweetie, this is my son."
"How couldn it be your son? you are a marine."
"Same happens with Garp, but he is a grandfather.... i think maybe this is a nice time for you two to meet." you were really nervous but tried to sound chill and smooth.
"Oh mother, we already know each other, thi sis the man that has been chasing me all week." the moment got worse every second and you wanted to hide, but you felt Smoker sat next to you and put his arm on your should, "noooo, cut the romantic things, i am going to throw up."
"Don't talk to us like that, yesterday i was furious that you were so childish but right now, i wont tolerate you talking to your mother or me with such a disrespectful tone." you had to hide a laugh, he clearly was getting his frustations out but at the same time trying to be nice. "so tell me, how can a son of a marine officer become a pirate?"
"Well..." and you knew that this would be a long night.
Akagami Shanks
Tumblr media
Since Luffy and Uta, he was out of the parenting thing, for now.
You were sleeping and suddently canons started to burst on the ship, you got dressed and prepared to a new day at board.
"I am xxxxx, and i will defeat you, Red Head SHanks."
"On your dreams, child." canons were still bursting when you got on the ship and saw the attacker of the ship.
"Mom?" "Son?" you both said at the same time, Shanks mouth touched the ground.
"Come here you little prick, how could you blow the ship of your mother's fiancee."
"You are engaged? i didn't got the letter nor invitation, you don't love me or what? i know we don't live together anymore but..."
"I sent it yesterday, it should get to you in a couple of hours but... we took the covers of various newspapers, how could you not saw it?"
"You know i don't read that bullshit..." you both were yelling at each other from the ships, until Shanks decided to finally talk.
"And when i was going to know this?"
"Today!" he coudln't even talk, his mind was going to fast, another problematic child.
"Boy, stop blasting canons and get on the ship... i love your mother and i want to marry her, i can kill you."
"You are not going to kill me, i am going to defeat you."
"You can try, after the wedding and only if i am looking." you yelled at him and went to Shanks, "leave him, he is excited in reality to meet you."
"I must recompose myself, i must make him see i am a good stepfather."

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Ooo, this one right here!” Kelley yells, pointing out the downtown club. Some of the gotham girls, along with you, decided it was a beautiful night out and since you didn’t have any responsibilities the next day, it was a perfect time to go out.
“How many more do you think we’re gonna go to?” You ask, leaning over to Kristie’s ear so no other pondering friends can listen in.
“Let’s hope this will be the last.” Kristie huffs, wrapping her arm around your shoulder and dragging you along with the group.
None of the girls are drunk but most are definitely tipsy. You have only had about two and a half drinks within the past couple of hours, so you’re not feeling any effects while Kristie has only had three.
Kelley is the most drunk out of everyone, even the younglings, and when Kelley is drunk, she never wants to stop partying. Many of the girls are not protesting considering this is the first free day they have had in weeks, especially Ali with having to take care of her kids.
The group finds a table somewhat in the corner of the bar, and a few of the girls go to the bar to order drinks. Kristie and you both sit on the high-top chairs across from Midge and Jenna. Kristie and Midge are in a heated discussion on what’s the best way to style and take care of your eyebrows while you and Jenna watch them with amused smiles.
Suddenly, a prickling at the back of your neck makes you turn around and flit your gaze nervously across the crowded room, almost as if a sudden fog made its way into the bar. As much as you look, you can’t seem to find anything out of the ordinary.
Relief washes over your face when Lynn arrives with hands full of drinks, sparking cheers around the table. Sure you haven’t drank much yet, but that just gives you reason to drink more now. Once you get a hold of your drink, you begin to take multiple large gulps, shocking the girls around you.
“Damn girl, the drink isn’t going anywhere.” Lynn teases while the other girls laugh along.
Kristie just stares at you in bewilderment, not being used to this side of you. You blush under everyone’s gaze and look around the dance floor to try and remove the unwanted attention.
Within minutes, many of the girls are pulled onto the dance floor, leaving you with Kristie and Midge at the table.
“How about you? What was the last date you had?” Midge asks you since you’re the only one who hasn’t shared. You shift a little uncomfortably at the two girl’s stares, especially one being your best friend who you have grown attracted to within the past year.
“Umm, it was a blind date set up by my friend a few months ago. He was sweet and all, but I just didn’t see it going anywhere.” You shrug, taking another sip of your drink.
“What did he do? Profession wise.” Midge wonders, intrigued by your love life you barely share any detail about.
“A lawyer.”
“So let me get this straight. He was sweet, a lawyer, and a good friend of your friend. Was he ugly?”
“No, he wasn't ugly at all, it’s just, I don’t know honestly.” You exhale, rubbing your hands on the glass cup sitting on the table.
“There has so got to be more to that story, but I’ll let you off the hook. For now.” Midge teases with a daunting glare directed at you.
You didn’t even realize how silent the blonde next to you had become. You couldn’t say the real reason as to why the blind date didn’t become a second one when the reason is sitting next to you. Around the time of the date, you began to feel new feelings about your best friend, and you’re still trying to depict them.
“You never told me about that date.” Kristie states, finally speaking up.
“I didn’t think it was that important.” You say, tensing your shoulders up subconsciously at the scene. Kristie just hums, not believing you for a second but deciding to let it go.
Soon Kelley returns to the table, drunk and ditsy, claiming everyone is such party poopers. You all roll your eyes at the girl but chuckle, and soon the blonde next to you is dragged by Kelley to the dance floor.
Kristie looks at you with pleading eyes as her arm is getting tugged off, begging for you to get her out of it, but you just shrug with an entertained smile. You notice the midfielder lipping something at you with a glare, but you’re too tipsy to understand.
“So, about that lawyer.” You laugh at the younger girl’s persistence, shaking your head with a disbelief look.
“Midgey, like I told you-”
That’s when you hear it. That booming, raspy laugh just a few feet away from you. You thought you’d never have to hear that ugly sound ever again, but of course, you’re proven wrong.
You slowly turn around, and when you do, you catch eyes with someone you haven’t seen since Boston College. His sinister smirk stretches across his face as he takes a sip of his beer, eyeing you up while the fear in your eyes grows.
Pins and needles spread through your limbs, leaving you numb. The glass in your hand feels distant, as if it belongs to someone else. Your ears become muffled, blocking Midge’s worried calls out for you. And then your heartbeat. It starts to speed up five times its usual pace, causing your breathing to match its fast rate.
“Midge, what’s going on?” Ali asks, having come back to rest from all the dancing.
“I have no clue, one second we were talking and the next we weren’t.” Midge furrows her eyebrows with a worried expression, trying to figure out how to help.
“Here, help me take her outside.” Ali demands, continuing to try and grab your attention and ask if it’s okay if she touches you.
When you don’t answer, Ali softly touches your arm and when you don’t react, she wraps your arm around her shoulder to support your weight. Midge wraps her arms around your midsection once Ali stands you up, and you can’t even feel either touch.
The girls get you so close until you suddenly become deadweight in the corner of the bar, dragging the two girls down with you so you don’t get injured. Your knees curl up to your chin, and your arms wrap around your legs. Your whole body feels like TV static, numbing your mind along with it.
“What do we do? She’s clearly panicking!” Midge begins to freak out, becoming extremely worried at your state, watching tears run down your wide eyes.
“Go get Kristie.”
“What?”
“Go grab Kristie! Now, Midge!” Ali doesn’t mean to yell, but she’s not sure how long you’ll go without passing out. Midge nods her head determinedly and runs onto the dance floor through the sweaty bodies to find the midfielder.
You never thought you’d run into that pathetic excuse of a man again. The beginning of your relationship was great sophomore year, but then it began to grow more tense. Arguing about the future, miscommunications, and disagreements turned into pushes, then slaps, and finally full-on punches.
It took you getting a concussion to finally put an end to what was happening. Kristie was there from the beginning, constantly trying to get you to move in with her and leave him, but you just couldn’t. Despite the abuse, you felt as if he still loved you.
Then a few months after the breakup came the stalking and threatening. He would follow you to classes, work, and even practices just to scare you. Along with that, we would make burner accounts and threaten to lie to the dean to get you kicked from school, and show explicit photos to your friends and family.
It took Kristie speaking up for you to finally file a restraining order. Ever since then, you haven’t seen or heard a peep from the man.
“What’s going on!” Kristie’s voice cuts through the loud air, approaching your curled-up body.
“We don’t know.” Midge admits, biting her lip anxiously at the scene of Kristie trying everything to get your attention.
“Well, what the hell happened!” Kristie’s voice raises, absolutely terrified at the state you're in and wanting to do whatever she can to get you out of it.
“One second we were talking and then the next she looked around and went into this!”
“Looked around?”
The midfielder quickly glances around the room, attempting to follow in your footsteps, and that’s when she sees it. More like sees him. That same smug smirk she remembers seeing years ago.
“Kriegs, I need you to go grab security. Quickly.” Without any hesitation, Ali runs to look for bouncers while Kristie turns her glare from the man over to you with a softened look.
Your eyes are looking everywhere and nowhere all at once. They’re moving yet you can’t focus or see a thing, but when you hear that familiar soothing voice, your vision begins to unblur.
“There you are.” The blonde states, watching your gaze finally make contact with hers.
Within seconds, your breathing begins to slow, reverting back to its original pace as soon as it can, helping your body relax and unnumb. Just the sound of Kristie’s voice and the soft touch of her hand have helped tremendously, although you aren’t in the clear.
Your breaths have slowed down from before but it’s still rapid compared to the normal rate, and most of your body remains dizzy.
“What can I help you with, ma’am?” The bouncer asks, approaching you two with Ali right next to him.
“I need you to get that man out of here.” Kristie demands, pointing to the cause of all this chaos.
“We can’t kick him out without cause. We haven’t heard any complaints.” The man asserts with furrowed brows, but Kristie doesn’t seem to take it.
“Is a restraining order enough? Escort him out or I will, sir.”
Many of the girls who have now gathered around, not too close to overwhelm you, eyes widened with impressed looks and smiles as they watch the bouncer scram to escort him out.
“Wow. Don’t wanna mess with Kristie and her girl.” Nealy mumbles to a nodding Jenna.
Meanwhile, you’re finally making progress on being able to talk, hear, and breathe normally. A lot of your body remains tingly along with weakness, but the blonde girl alongside you helps you with everything.
“Here she is.” Kristie murmurs softly, her voice cutting through the haze in your mind like sunlight breaking through a curtained window. Her steady tone anchors you, and your frantic gaze finally meets hers.
“You’re okay, you’re safe. I’m right here.” She calmly says, her touch is gentle but firm, hands rubbing slow, deliberate circles on your arms.
Your chest heaves as you fight to regain control of your breathing, each inhale catching like a hiccup in your throat. But her words, her presence, they’re a lifeline. Slowly, the static buzzing in your body begins to fade, replaced by a dull ache and a tingling warmth where her hands rest on your arms.
“That’s it.” Kristie encourages, her eyes locked on yours. “Breathe with me, okay? In and out.”
You nod shakily, mimicking her deep breaths. Your lungs still feel tight, but the rhythm she sets calms the chaos in your chest. Gradually, the room sharpens around you; the distant thrum of music, the faint chatter of the girls nearby. It’s overwhelming, but Kristie keeps your focus tethered to her.
“There you go.” she says when your breathing finally steadies. “You’re doing so good, honey.”
Your heart stumbles at her words, warmth spreading through your chest despite the lingering fear. You manage a small nod, though the effort feels monumental.
“I’m sorry.” You whisper, your voice hoarse and shaky. “I don’t know what happened. I saw him, and-”
“Stop, you don’t have to explain right now. It’s not your fault.” Kristie interrupts gently, shaking her head.
“She’s right, Y/n. None of this is your fault.” Midge steps closer, her face lined with concern.
You exhale shakily, the pressure in your chest lightening as you take in their words. Slowly, with Kristie’s help, you rise to your feet. Your legs wobble, lightheadedness threatening to pull you down again, but her arm is already around your waist, holding you steady.
“Easy, I’ve got you.” She says softly, her steady grip grounding you.
Her closeness, the protective strength in her touch, is almost too much to bear. Your cheeks flush a deep red, and you glance away, hiding the way her presence affects you. But Kristie notices, of course she does. Her hand lingers on your waist as her gaze searches yours.
“How about we head home, yeah?” The older girl suggests with a small smile.
“Yeah.”
When Kristie suggested going home, you both decided to just stay over at her apartment. It was close and for some reason comfier than yours in your opinion.
The midfielder was quick to offer you her clothes to sleep in which included a t-shirt and shorts. You were so relieved to take off the tight pants you had on along with your bra that felt like it was pushing your breasts all the way into your back.
You’re both cuddled together on the couch watching some sitcom on the TV. Cuddling isn’t new to you two, but ever since you realized your feelings for the older girl, your chest tightens and your cheeks flush whenever she gets this close.
Within minutes you’re asleep on the blonde’s chest, your cheek resting on her grey sweater and hair splattered across your face. Kristie is not too far behind, having soothed herself to sleep by threading her nails through the top of your head while the show in the background plays lightly.
The night passes in a peaceful blur, and when morning comes, sunlight streams through the window, warming your face. You squint against the brightness, groaning softly as you blink yourself awake. The warmth of Kristie’s arm draped over you lingers, grounding you in the moment, but you still try to sit up as well as you can without waking the girl.
“Good morning, beautiful.” Kristie rasps, her voice low and husky from sleep, with a sleepy grin spreading across her face as she stretches her arms over her head.
If you were half asleep before, you sure as hell aren’t now. The sound of her morning voice, paired with the pet name, sends a shiver down your spine. You’re not used to this side of her, so confident, so close. It makes your pulse race in ways you’re not sure you can control.
Kristie immediately notices the change in your posture despite only being up for a few minutes. She slowly sits up next to you, watching the side of your face and observing your reaction to her getting closer to you. When you turn, you slightly jump having not actually seen her move up close to you.
“Hi.” You manage a shaky smile, your heart still racing from the sudden closeness.
“Hi.” The girl’s lips curl into a soft grin, her blue eyes flickering between yours as if searching for something unspoken. The way she leans closer makes your breath hitch.
A new tension rises between you two as you both stare at one another with longing eyes, wanting so much more but not making a move. You don’t want to pull away. Maybe this is when something can happen between you two, but you’re too afraid to make the first move.
Suddenly, Kristie’s voice breaks the air with something unexpected.
“Please tell me to stop if I’m doing something you don’t want or like.”
Your breath catches in your throat as her words hang in the air. Kristie’s voice is quiet, almost hesitant, but there’s a certainty in her tone that makes your pulse quicken once again. Her gaze remains locked on yours, searching for any sign of hesitation.
You should say something. Anything. But all you can do is stare at her, your heart pounding in your chest like it’s trying to escape, too nervous to do something wrong.
“Kristie.” You finally whisper, unsure of where the courage to speak comes from.
Her name falls from your lips like a plea, and that’s all the confirmation she seems to need. Slowly, carefully, she closes the small space between you.
Her hand brushes against yours, the touch featherlight, as if she’s giving you the chance to pull away. You don’t. Instead, your fingers curl slightly, brushing hers in return.
“Is this okay?” She asks softly, voice trembling just enough to betray her own nerves.
“Yeah. It’s more than okay.” You nod, barely able to speak.
A small smile tugs at her lips before she leans in, her forehead resting lightly against yours. Her breath is warm against your skin, and you swear the world outside her apartment melts away. It’s just you and her now, caught in this fragile, perfect moment.
Her hand lifts to your cheek, her thumb tracing the crevices of your skin. The touch sends shivers down your spine, and for the first time, you realize just how much you’ve wanted this. Just how much you’ve been concealing these emotions.
And then, finally, she kisses you.
It’s gentle at first, her lips brushing against yours like a question, but when you don’t pull away, when you kiss back, it deepens. Your hands find their way to her shoulders repositioning and anchoring yourself to her as her fingers tangle in your hair.
Time slows. The sitcom that played throughout the night fades into white noise. All you can feel is her warmth, her touch, and the way she makes you feel like the center of the universe.
When she finally pulls back, her cheeks are flushed, and her grin is sheepish.
“I’ve wanted to do that for a while.” She admits, her voice barely above a whisper.
You laugh softly, your own face warm.
“Me too.”
For the first time in what feels like forever, the tension between you two isn’t uncertainty. It’s the start of something new.

If there is one word to describe Jeno, it’s doting.
Ever since the moment you two met, you’ve been living a life of luxury. Not necessarily in terms of monetary means (except for the very pretty promise ring Jeno got you a few months back), but in more valuable, sentimental places. Someone by your side that treasures the ground you walk on, someone that makes the effort whoever big or small, someone who’s totally and utterly obsessed with you. For so long, you thought you had your head in the clouds, imagining such a love as an abstract, fictional thing. Like it could never materialise beyond the limits of your mind and yet, there it is. Three years ago, the love you’d wished for on many stars, many birthday candles - right in front of you.
You meet in a rather…unconventional way. Nothing shady or anything, but it’s a bit of a blunder in comparison with the wholesomeness of your relationship. You’d just moved into your new apartment building, your new promotion uplifting you as the future brims bright. You’d seen it in person before getting the keys and your jaw dropped every time. Admittedly, the office assisted with most of the expenses to keep you in close vicinity of the main building, explaining the lavish skyscraper of a building. Marble floors, polished elevators, key-pad locks. To you, someone who didn’t come from much, this was the high life. A merit your family let you know you deserved for all your efforts over the years, whether it was in academic ventures or familial affairs. Either way, as you are driving through the front gate, the security guard tipping his hat at you, you’re beaming with glee - nothing, and you mean absolutely nothing, could ruin your day.
Except this.
For someone so accommodating, you lacked understanding (and patience) for what you, in a flare of anger, called ‘stupidity.’ Unfortunately for you, this is one of those moments. Pulling up to your assigned parking space (underground, might you add), your eyebrows furrow at the sight before you. There’s a car in front of you making an awkward turn, almost as if they don’t know where they’re going. Maybe they’re new like you, you reason. Your understanding drains from there, as the car goes back and forth, turning its wheels and frankly, looking like a hot mess. You try not to be an asshole, because drivers deserve some grace, especially Learners judging by the large ‘L’ on the back of their car, but just as you’re about to offer some help, you squeal.
The learner attempts to manoeuvre out the tight space it’s wedged itself into, having to reverse generously due to the sheer size of the car and in doing so, it nearly rear-ends you. If you hadn’t had the sense to put more distance between the two of you, the front of your car would’ve been mangled. This time, you honk, a slam of the hand on the steering wheel as you yell, “The fuck are you doing!”
The driver offers an apologetic hand out their window, somehow managing to squeeze into the parking spot they’d been trying very hard to get into. As grateful as you are for the stupid ordeal to be over, a pout forms on your lips as you squint at the parking spot the driver’s parked into.
Your parking spot.
You’re out of your car before your brain registers, the slam of the car door accompanying the echo of your loud voice as you say, “That’s my parking space.”
The driver hoops out of their car, a large grey hoodie shrouding their face as they step into view. Under the fluorescent lights of the barren car park, the stranger reveals their face, shadows enveloping the sharp edges of his high cheekbones and jawline. You nearly lurch back, because what the hell? Why is the driver you’d nearly had an aneurysm over unbelievably hot? Handsome? Cute?
At this point, you’d throw a whole dictionary full of words to describe how attractive he is, his pink lips folding into an apologetic grin, bowing to you deeply. “Is your car ok? I’m so sorry. It’s my first time driving this big ole thing - it’s the only car I could fit all my belongings in.”
Then, you see it. Items, belongings cluttering the pick-up truck, and if you really look, you’re pretty sure a pillow’s obstructing his sight from his rearview mirror.
You exhale, a wave of sympathy drowning the fires of your annoyance. “It's fine, thanks. Just a word of advice, you shouldn’t be driving with something blocking your rearview mirror.”
Why did you have to tell him this? If he's a learner, surely he 1) knew this and 2) had someone in the car with him.
Just then, the passenger front seat opens, another figure in an oversized black hoodie coming round the vehicle. Were they-?
“Jeno, you forgot your dog treats in the-” the passenger cuts themselves off at your presence, lowering their hood to reveal another handsome face. What is this? A traveling circus of hotties? How many more were hidden in there? “Oh, hottie alert.”
Instantly no.
In the face of a man also sculpted by the Gods, with his big brown eyes and irresistible smile, you scowl. Maybe even vomit a little in your mouth because did he just say ‘hottie alert’ about you…in front of you?
Nevermind you calling him that first.
“You’ll have to excuse him,” the stranger - Jeno, you’re assuming - looks even more embarrassed, shuffling to shield the glaring ogling his friend does. “He’s got no filter. No sense either, now that I think about it.”
“Since when did the samoyed become the owner?” you make out his friend say, in a headlock that he forces himself out of with a bite through Jeno’s sleeve.
Samoyed? Owner?
The longer you watch their bickering, the more confused and honestly, more annoyed you grow. A promotion and new apartment, what is meant to be an upgrade from your previously cramped but friendly neighbourhood, only to find yourself caught in the middle of a quarrel. With some themes of petplay, too, you weren’t sure.
All you know is that you’ve got a long day ahead of you, and they’re prolonging it by snatching your parking space.
“Sorry to interrupt but,” their heads turn at the sound of your voice, having the decency to look embarrassed as you continue. “You’re parked in my space. I’m D7. So, in case there’s been a mix-up-”
“Thing is, sweetie,” Jeno’s friend addresses you, the latter hanging his head in shame. “Unfortunately, someone’s parked in our sweet Jeno’s place. We’re on a bit of a tight schedule, and your space was the only one avail-”
A car honk makes you jump, your head on a swivel, mortified to find a car behind yours, luckily trying to exit the underground space.
Now you look like the asshole.
You huff, exhausted already. “I’m gonna let this car through, and we’re going to solve this, alright?”
They both nod, the enthusiasm that Jeno nods with earning a fond smile from his friend, Jeno’s sleazy partner ruffling his head of long black hair.
In the end, when you’ve circled back, the person parked in Jeno’s space comes out and profusely apologizes for the inconvenience, citing an emergency they had to take care of and since Jeno’s space was free and close to the building, they snagged it. So, you get your parking space back, a small victory. Jeno’s friend, who notices you’re moving in too - Jaemin is his name - offers his help, to which you politely deny, catching the pure apologetic nature in Jeno’s shiny eyes.
Minor blunder. A small thing in the grand scheme of things, nothing worth losing your mind over.
Except when you’ve managed to heave your first few belongings to your apartment, the door next to yours opens, Jaemin’s bright smile greeting you as he says, “Oh, I’m definitely coming over to yours more often.”
So, yeah. Not that romantic - your first meeting.
Heck, even your second and third meeting isn’t too great because on one exceptional morning where you’re running late, you collide into Jeno on your way out, your possessions and fingernail flying in the air. You’re lucky your nail-bed remains unscathed, but not so lucky the days following that when you’re walking in the open courtyard of your apartment building, out for some fresh air, time to decompress for the mounting work you’re quickly submerging in.
You’ve got your headphones on, noise-cancelling ones you got for Christmas - how nice. What isn’t nice is that you miss the yell behind you, and the strange texture you step onto. Your body freezes, nose twitching from a foul smell that wafts upwards and when you gaze down to your shoe, you find the worst. The absolute worst.
Shit. Huge, putrid clumps of shit.
It’s so shocking that you slip your headphone off down to your neck, deciding between screaming or crying. Your decision is cut off by a familiar voice, yet again so apologetic.
“I forgot her bags upstairs. I didn’t think anyone would…” Jeno cuts himself off, eyebrows pinched together like he may cry. “Can I-can I do anything for you? Wash your shoe? Scream? Disappear into oblivion?”
“All of the above.”
He chuckles, the furry friend he’s accompanied by nudging their wet snout against your hand, smiling at you like there are no thoughts behind their eyes. Your eyes flicker between the dog and Jeno, the white samoyed eerily similar to his owner.
Was this what Jaemin was referring to when you first met?
“Don’t worry about her, she’s harmless,” he comments, the ghost of a grin appearing against his face. “Except when she takes a dump.”
You have to laugh. Otherwise you’ll cry. “Too soon?”
“No, no - I needed that actually,” you sigh after your fit of chuckles. “Today’s been…well, shit.”
“You don’t say,” Jeno muses, handing over the leash his dog is on. “Do you mind?”
You take it without a word, securing his furry friend as he slips off one of his shoes, bending down near the scene of the crime. Without a peep, he cleans around as best as he can, undoing your shoe and casting it aside, slipping his one on your foot.
“Well, I can’t scream because it’s non social hours,” he leads, wrapping your shoe in one of the bags. “And as much as I’d love to disappear into oblivion, I’ve got a shoe to wash.”
He then hesitates, parts his lips like he wants to say something. There’s something adorable about his loss for words, how his gaze is downturned, flicking side to side in indecision. God, all these awful run-ins robbed you of remembering how cute he is.
“Did you want to come back to mine?” he finally asks, meeting your eyes. “So, we don’t have to drop each other’s shoes off like some fairytale.”
“It is almost midnight,” your quick wit earns a chuckle from him, eyes moon crescent and you can’t believe your own. How tragically pitiful and handsome he is. “Why not? I’ve got no ball to be at.”
So, instead of spending your night wallowing in the darkness of your apartment, you’re next door, laughing at the failed attempts of Jaemin’s ‘flirting’ Jeno tells you with his samoyed, Ari, cuddled into your side. Once your shoe dries, that’s when you say you’ll leave - what you infamously tell yourself, picking up the bone-dry shoe hours later, belly full of Jeno’s special bowl of noodles and heart full of infatuation for your neighbour.
Again, not so romantic. But your following run-ins prove to be a turning point, the close relationship you develop unveiling a world of romance you thought were reserved only for movies and books. Somewhere along the line, your elevator talks stretch into rambling dinner dates, rotating between your place and his depending on the meal since Ari once stole a whole steak off your plate once. You take Ari on your nightly walks Jeno accompanies you for, you meet his friends and he meets yours. You make space for each other, carving out time to spend binging the latest season of your favourite dating show or over a bowl of kimchi stew you reward him with for getting the spider out your apartment.
It’s like your puzzle pieces come together, initially ill-matched but now, the perfect fit for one another. And even if Jaemin jokes you were a bit ‘rough around the edges’ (code for an asshole) when you’d first met, Jeno kisses the denial out of you, making sure you know how much better his (and Ari’s) life is with you in it.

Silent Promises~Jonathan Daviss
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a cool spring evening when Jonathan called you for the second time that week. His calls were always filled with laughter, jokes, and a familiarity that comforted you. But this time, something in his tone made you raise an eyebrow.
"Hey, how are you?" Jonathan asked, and his voice sounded more serious than usual.
"I'm good, thanks," you replied, trying to sound more convincing than you felt. "I just finished doing some interviews for the new album."
"I can imagine," he replied with a light laugh, but it sounded a bit tense. "You know, the song you wrote about Drew... it's really powerful. There's a lot of you in that one."
A shiver ran down your spine. Drew... The man you had loved, but who had betrayed you. Every word of the song Heartbreak Highway spoke of your pain, broken dreams, and the loneliness you had felt after discovering his betrayal. The public had loved it, of course. It had gone viral, like all your most honest songs.
"Yeah... it was hard to write," you admitted, feeling a lump in your throat. "But the best of me came out. I'm glad people can relate to it."
"I'm sure," he said softly. "You're incredible, as always." His voice grew more tender but also more serious. "Listen, I want to talk to you about something..."
A small suspicion crept into your mind. Jonathan had never been afraid to be direct with you. But something felt different today. It was as if he was avoiding telling you something important.
"Sure, tell me everything," you replied, trying to keep your tone normal.
There was a long pause on the other end of the line, and when Jonathan spoke again, his voice trembled just slightly. "I... I know you're hurting, and I care about you. You know I've always been there for you."
"I know," you said, almost whispering. "And you've always been my rock, Jonathan."
He hesitated again. "I just want you to know that you deserve someone who truly loves you. Not someone who betrays you. Not someone who makes you feel less than you are."
Your heart stopped for a moment. His words seemed so sincere, but there was something deeper, as if he wasn’t just talking about Drew.
"Jonathan..." you whispered, trying to figure out what he was trying to say. "I... I’m not ready for another relationship, not now. Not after what happened."
"I’m not talking about a relationship," he said gently, but with an incredible firmness that struck you. "I'm just saying, I’m here. Always."
You sank into the couch, feeling the weight of his words. You had known him for so long. You’d laughed together, cried together, shared dreams, fears, and hopes. But you had never seen Jonathan in this light. Every word he spoke seemed to carry something more, a feeling you couldn’t fully decipher.
"Jonathan..." you repeated, his name sounded different on your tongue. "I don’t want to lose you. I don’t want you to think that I’m ignoring how you feel about me."
"I don’t want you to feel obligated," he said quickly, almost in a whisper. "I don’t want to put pressure on you. I just... I just want you to know that I care about you, in a way that goes beyond friendship. I’ve loved you, always."
The world seemed to stop for a moment. Jonathan... loved you? How had you never noticed it before? But at the same time, how could you respond to this revelation when your heart was still broken over Drew?
"Jonathan, I... I don’t know what to say." Your voice trembled, but not out of fear. Out of confusion, out of surprise. "I don’t want to hurt you. I don’t want you to be like Drew... like someone who deceived me."
"You know I’m not like that," he replied, his voice full of sincerity you had never heard before. "And I understand, really. But I just want you to know that, no matter what happens, I’ll always be here. I don’t just want to be your best friend. I want to be something more, if one day you want it."
Silence fell heavily between you, and as his words echoed in your head, your heart hammered in your chest. You were lost. Lost in a sea of emotions you didn’t know how to manage.
"Jonathan..." you repeated finally, trying to find the strength to say something you never thought you’d say. "Maybe, in another time, in another life, we could have been more. But right now... I need time."
He nodded, even though you couldn’t see it. "I understand. And I’ll wait. I’ll wait for you, if you’re ever ready."
The call ended there, but that silent promise lingered between you. A promise of time, of hope, of a future that would come, or maybe not. But one thing was certain: Jonathan would never just be a friend to you. Something inside you was changing, and maybe, one day, you would look at him with different eyes.
And in the meantime, your song continued to play on the radio, an anthem of heartbreak and rebirth, while Jonathan, from afar, watched you with silent hope.

Summary: Dream's sister drags him to the gym. Will the instructor and his assets be enough to convince Dream it's worth his time?
On AO3 Dream is pleased to see, as he begrudgingly follows his sister into the exercise class she'd signed them up for, that at least the instructor isn't the bodybuilding jock type that has historically put him off going to the gym entirely. Dream gets only a glance at the back of him as they enter the space, but he is slim and athletically built—neither thick-necked nor thickly-muscled, nor is any part of him built like a tree trunk.
That is a relief.
Dream still does not want to be here.
But he loves his sister, and is ultimately not immune to her dogged persistence.
"Come on, Dream, just one time, please? I'm sure you'll find something you like about it!"
Months, she has been cajoling him; it is his hope that she will drop the subject now that he has finally given in.
"Hello, welcome everyone!" Mr. Not-a-Musclebound-Jock speaks up, drawing attention to start the class. "My name is Robert, but you can call me Hob, and I'll be your instructor for this undertaking! Good to see some of you back, and nice to see all these new faces too! Now, today we're going to start off slow; I'll demonstrate some techniques and we can all try them out one at a time before we really get going, alright?" He claps his hands, rubs them together. "Those of you who've been here before, please feel free to help out the newcomers if they need it. Especially if you brought them." He glances at Dream and Death with a tiny nod, as Death is one of those returning students, and Dream.
Well.
He is hearing the words—"quick stretches", now, and "warmup"—he is paying attention, truly, but he is also.
Staring.
Which is not so terrible; all eight of them in the class are watching the instructor and following along with the warmup, as they should. But Dream does not think his thoughts are in line with anyone else's.
Because the instructor, Hob—he is gorgeous. Arrestingly so. Beautiful in a very ordinary way; average height, the previously noted slim build, brown hair greying slightly at the temples and pulled into a messy bun, dark eyes, strong nose, friendly smile. Nothing individually remarkable, but together? Oh. That smile lances straight through Dream in a way that makes his stomach curl up giddily. Hob is wearing a white t-shirt that is tight and thin enough it can't quite hide what looks to be a lush thicket of chest hair, and the amount of hair on his arms and legs further supports that hypothesis. He's wearing mallard green spandex shorts that show off, well, everything, and it's all very nice.
Perhaps this class will be tolerable, after all.
"Okay, the first thing I want to tackle is a modified squat form," Hob says once they've finished the warmup stretches, and Dream is immediately reassessing his optimism. He hates squats; hates most sorts of physical exercise, to be honest, which is why Death had had to wheedle so hard to get him to join her. But squats, of course, were particularly loathsome. And Hob sounds far too cheerful about them.
"This modification is pretty simple; you'll just need to find a pole, here, and do like this." Hob turns so his back is mostly to the class, grabs an upright bar on the nearest weight machine—Dream has no idea what any of this equipment is properly called—then plants his feet far apart and leans back, bending his knees into a beautifully right-angled squat and Dream?
Dream nearly swallows his tongue.
Hob's green spandex shorts and everything they contain have gone from 'nice' to 'scandalously on display' and Dream is absolutely mesmerized. The way Hob's body drops, the wide stance of his legs, the way his cheeks spread as he sinks low—Dream is having capital-T Thoughts, none of which are in the bible, as Desire is fond of saying. Hob's thighs, while built slim, are well-muscled and incredibly toned and every contour of quads and hamstrings is straining into beautiful prominence beneath those shorts. His arse is likewise presented, every curve and dimple beautifully highlighted by shiny green fabric, and Dream is very sure he can see the imprint of individual hairs beneath the stretched spandex. The material is rendered slightly-sheer by the position and, unmistakably, there is a distinctive 'whale-tail' flaring above Hob's shapely cheeks.
Dream's mouth goes dry. Is he—?
There is a telling lack of lines under the spandex.
He is. Hob is wearing a thong.
Dream is ridiculously grateful for the Extreme Support jock strap he'd put on before coming here; he is having a most unfortunate reaction to every aspect of Hob's demonstration, but his shorts are far more forgiving than Hob's and the underwear beneath them is keeping things decent enough for the public environment.
He hopes.
"See the problem so many people have with squats is the knee strain," Hob is saying, as he straightens up again. He lets go of the pole. "Most of the time when we do squats, we're leaning forward a bit for balance, right?" He bends into position, demonstrating; his arse and thighs are on display again and it is no less arresting than the previous example. "And that's where that knee pressure comes from, trying to keep that balance."
Dream can think of several ways to help Hob keep his balance in such a position, all of which involve their bodies in intimate proximity and none of which would be particularly easy on anyone's knees.
"But like this"—Hob takes hold of the equipment again and leans back, drops slowly into his squat—"it's easy to keep your chest straight, get all that nice core support and this ninety-degree angle here"—his free hand strokes the curve of his own arse from hip to thigh and Dream inhales sharply—"and your anchoring pressure is all in your heels. No knee strain!" He sinks deep, presumably in demonstration and Dream is so full of lewd thoughts he genuinely fears he might burst. He watches the flex of Hob's thighs and arse as the man raises himself and lowers back into another squat; he bites his tongue to still the whimper rising in his throat, watches Hob perform another slow controlled bounce, is painfully aware of all his blood rushing south.
"This keeps all the working power in your glutes, which of course helps you build a nice tight round arse—and that's what we're all here for right?" Hob grins over his shoulder as he sinks down again.
A smattering of laughter answers him, including a chuckle from Death, but Dream cannot stop staring at Hob's arse. Which is indeed. Round. And tight. Chiseled. Contoured into sharp relief beneath the stretch of spandex shorts. And the texture of his body hair on top of all that? The thong? The way his cheeks flex and spread as he sinks low, clench beautifully as he rises up again?
Dream is utterly lost.
His sister bumps him with her shoulder. "Alright there, Dream?"
He makes a tiny, strangled noise that he hopes she will take for assent. He can only imagine what color his face is at the moment.
"You can do this at home, too, by the way, if you happen to have a pole—or a sturdy door jamb to hang onto." Hob demonstrates one more deep squat and straightens up, turning to face the class again. "Alright. Everyone find a support and try it out!"
Dream cannot. He cannot fathom duplicating the exercise with the vision of Hob's arse in his head, performing those same motions—supportive underwear or not, he is going to embarrass himself.
"Here we go!" Death singsongs next to him, indicating the nearest weight machine—which does in fact have two upright supports that will serve their purposes. She steps over and takes hold of one, leans herself back with feet planted wide and performs a squat.
Which does wonders to clear Dream's head; it's not titillating when his sister does it and he finds he can refocus appropriately.
"This feels ridiculous," he mumbles, joining her and reluctantly taking up position. "This looks ridiculous."
"Didn't look ridiculous when Hob did it, right?" Death's tone is entirely nonchalant, not even teasing, but Dream seizes up all the same. He knows she's sharp, that she can't have missed the way he was staring nor what, precisely, he'd been staring at. But her words are entirely innocent. "Just need a bit of practice and you'll make it look that good too, little brother."
He is about to reply as he lowers himself, something scathing and devastatingly witty, surely, but another voice cuts in first.
"Ah, so this is your little brother, DeeDee?"
Hob.
Dream, having just reached the lowest point in his first squat, finds quite abruptly that his body has decided to forget how to move.
His sister is answering. "Hey Hob! Yeah, this is Dream. I finally convinced him to come in with me."
"Wonderful! Always glad to have new friends join the fun!" Hob holds out a hand.
As if Dream is in any position to shake it.
His eyes are nearly level with Hob's chest and it takes every fiber of willpower he possesses to keep them up on Hob's face; in his distraction, he lets go of the pole to shake hands anyway.
Inevitibly, he falls flat on his arse.
"Oh god I'm so sorry!" Hob reaches to help him up, looking alarmed.
His sister is stifling her laughter.
"Thank you," Dream manages, pride bruised, face aflame, but he takes Hob's hand and pulls himself quickly to his feet. He does not dare look around to see who else in the class has borne witness to his bumbling ignominy. Besides which. Hob is no less attractive in close proximity and Dream's brain is replaying all those squats in quick flashes while also gibbering about the chest hair showing through that thin white t-shirt, none of which is at all conducive to keeping his composure. Desperately, he tries to pick up the thread of the conversation. "Yes. I am Dream. DeeDee's brother."
He never calls Death DeeDee. And she had just introduced him, by name, as her brother.
He needs to stop talking before he embarrasses himself any further.
But Hob only grins brightly, shakes his hand firmly. "I'm Hob, Hob Gadling. Teach the class, obviously." He drops Dream's hand, clears his throat. "Didn't mean to interrupt your practice—or drop you on your arse, apologies! Let's try that form again?"
"What? Yes." Dream tears his gaze from Hob's mouth and the dimple in his chin, and then again from Hob's chest, turns to blindly grab at the pole he'd been using. "Like this?" He moves on instinct, dropping into a squat, trying his hardest to remember what Hob had demonstrated without fixating on how his arse looked doing it.
He is not successful.
And he still hates squats.
"That's a good start," Hob says, encouragingly, and Dream is mortified by the way something in him warms to it. "Now let's try straightening up a bit more—may I?"
Dream is nodding assent before he realizes that Hob's hand is hovering over his back, that Hob is asking permission to touch.
He barely stifles the sound in his throat as Hob's fingers skate down his spine, offer firm pressure just below his waist while his other hand guides Dream's shoulders back. "There we go, see? Let the pole hold your balance so you can get this ninety-degree angle, right here"—his hand moves from Dream's back to his hip, a professional touch that nevertheless sends Dream's brain up in smoke—" and takes the strain off your knees. See?"
"Yes," Dream manages, barely aware of what he's agreeing with.
"Now, when you push yourself up, you've got to make sure you're using your legs," Hob cautions, as Dream rises. "Don't pull yourself up using the pole; you want the work happening in your thighs and your glutes." Thankfully (regrettably), his demonstrative touching seems to be done, and Dream does not have to cope with Hob's hands on his arse. He does not know how much more of this he can handle—the proximity, the images still burned in his brain. The touching. That voice.
That smile.
He just needs. One moment. A chance to compose himself, to remember how to behave like a normal human being.
He lowers himself into another squat, muscles already beginning to protest, making sure to keep his form as Hob had instructed.
"Good!" Hob says, sounding genuinely pleased, and Dream's insides turn to goo. "Use those glutes, excellent!"
"Because that's how you build a nice round arse, right?" Death says—how did Dream manage to forget that she is literally standing right beside him through all of this—and Hob chuckles, pats Dream briefly on the shoulder.
"That's right! And it looks like you could definitely use a little help in that area!"
Dream face is aflame. He is aware of the aesthetic deficiencies of his own backside. He does not need them commented upon by a man unfairly blessed in that regard, in front of his sister, particularly not while he is struggling through a horny crisis over this same man. He seizes desperately for the thread of escape glimmering in the comment.
"You dare offer such insult to one who has come to your class for its benefits?" He stands upright as he says it, letting go the stupid pole and drawing haughty arrogance around him like a cloak to hide the tatters of his pride and composure. "How disappointingly unprofessional. Excuse me."
And he flees.
Technically, he strides from the gym area at a reasonable pace. But inside, he is running. He ignores Hob calling after him, ignores the voice in his own head screaming about how rudely he just treated the pretty man with the beautiful arse, ignores the other voice in his head that sounds like his sister scolding him and ducks into the nearest restroom.
He just needs. A moment.
He braces both hands on the sink, grateful there is no one here to see, hangs his head and lets regret wash over him.
He has ruined his chances, he is sure of it. Chances at what, he can't quite say; it's not as though he was planning to proposition Hob nor ask him out. Just. Quietly suffer through classes with his sister and silently ogle Hob for an hour three times a week, perhaps. If he is honest with himself. But Hob is certain not to want him in his class again, nor will his sister likely bring him back after how he has behaved today.
That's one problem solved, he thinks, bitterly.
He should apologize for his rudeness. But he will not interrupt Hob's class to do it. He must wait for Death regardless, and the fact that she has not stormed into the men's room after him means she thinks he needs time to nurse his wounds and pull himself together. So he will do so.
He turns on the tap, splashes water on his face, dries it with the length of paper towel the motion-sensitive dispenser offers him. He stares at himself in the mirror for a moment, his pale face splotchy and gaunt and sour, mouth pulled into an easy frown, and sighs.
No, he had no chances to ruin in the first place.
With a sigh, he turns away and leaves the washroom, retrieves his phone and wallet and Death's as well from their locker, then finds a seat at one of the little round tables in the juice bar area to wait. He checks his watch; the class is scheduled to run for another forty minutes.
It is a long time to sit alone with his thoughts; he opens the sudoku app on his phone, mindlessly working through puzzle after puzzle while he waits.
It has been just under thirty-five minutes when his brooding peace is disturbed.
"Dream, oh good." Incongruously it is Hob's voice, not his sister's. "DeeDee said you'd probably be here. I wanted to apologize."
None of these words are the ones Dream might have expected; he opens his mouth to reply but instead of something normal what comes out is, "But your class is not over?"
Hob blinks, looking as nonplussed as Dream feels. "Er. Not quite, no, but your sister offered to run everyone through cool-down so I could come find you."
"Why?" Why can he not stop his mouth running ahead of his thoughts, that is the true question.
"Like I said. I wanted to apologize." Hob shifts his weight awkwardly, drawing Dream's attention unhelpfully to the way his thin white shirt has gained additional transparency thanks to the half hour spent sweating in front of his class. "My comment was entirely unprofessional, you're right. And I'm sorry."
"It is not untrue." Dream's backside does indeed leave much to be desired in comparison to others. "But. I appreciate the apology." He appreciates the view of Hob's chest as well, but mercifully manages to hold his tongue on that count.
He does not quite manage to keep his eyes from flicking down to Hob's shorts, to the smoothness of the bulge artfully contained by the spandex.
Thong, he remembers, and his mouth again goes a little dry at the thought.
"May I sit?"
"Please." The rote answer is out before Dream can puzzle over why Hob wishes to join him.
Hob pulls out the other chair and drops into it, leans forward just a little. "Really, I'm sorry. I picked up the vibe of your sister's teasing and ran with it but I haven't known you long enough for that to be welcomed or appreciated. I was very much out of line. And I apologize."
"I. Apologize, as well. For speaking so harshly in front of others and making a scene." Dream is trying very hard to ignore the way his insides are wibbling at Hob's words, Hob's voice.
"What? Oh. No, no, it's forgotten, don't worry about it." Hob waves a hand dismissively. "My fault in the first place."
Dream lets the matter lie.
There is a moment of awkward silence.
"So. First time to class, huh?" Hob flashes a bright smile at him, quick and awkward and terribly endearing. "What did you think?"
"It was. Brief," Dream says, before he can think better of it, and Hob laughs.
Dream's stomach swoops helplessly, flutters in consternated delight. Oh. Oh, but he is utterly gone on the sunshine this man exudes.
"Sorry, sorry. Of course. You'd definitely need a full session before you could answer that; stupid question." Hob shakes his head, grin fading, hesitation creeping into his demeanor. "Do you think you'd want to come back again?"
"I am. Undecided," Dream admits, honesty seeing him through as he stumbles over the possibility—does Hob want him to come back? Is Hob hoping to see him again?
Is he willing to suffer a regular gym appointment for the possibility?
"Ah. Well." Hob sounds downright nervous now. "It would probably be…good if you didn't?"
"I beg your pardon?" Dream is so affronted at hearing it stated so plainly he forgets that he has earned the rejection.
Hob startles. "Crap, no, sorry! That didn't come out right." He laughs, a nervous awkward laugh, but his smile is still bright. "Let me try again—sorry. Sorry." He takes a deep breath. "I'd like—I'd like to ask you out. But if you're in a class that I'm teaching then ethically I probably shouldn't do that."
Dream is, metaphorically, knocked in his aesthetically-deficient arse yet again. "You wish to ask me out? On a date?"
"Yeah. Yes." Hob reaches to toy with his earlobe, head tilting into the unconscious motion adorably. "Your sister has told me a lot about you, been talking you up for months and you're very pretty and I would love to get to know you under more comfortable circumstances? If you're interested, of course. No hard feelings if you're not I know we've barely met and I've already put my foot in it many times over but. Could I possibly convince you to let me try again?"
Dream is impressed by the flood of words just tumbling freely forth, and a bit gobsmacked yet unsurprised at 'your sister's talked you up' even as the pieces begin to click into place—but most of all he's delighted that Hob seems interested in him, and charmed by the earnestness with which Hob's asking for a second chance.
As if Dream's little tizzy in the class had been anything more valid than a cover for his own embarrassment. As if Hob has anything to apologize for.
He will have words with his sister later, though.
"My sister. Is setting us up."
"I do believe that was her intention, yes." Hob looks hopeful. "I'm far from opposed, if you're alright with it?"
"Then. All things considered. I will not be returning to your class, Hob." He offers a smile that he hopes is friendly with an undercurrent of coyness, and not off-putting. He glances up from beneath his lashes to catch the way Hob is blinking, his grin broadening in delight.
"Really? Okay! Are you—are you free for dinner tomorrow night?"
"I am. Where would you like to meet?"
"Merv's is a lovely quiet little pub not far from here—do you know it?"
"I do not."
"I'll text you the details then; it's relaxed and low-key but very nice, nothing terribly fancy but amazing food. And they accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions if those're a concern. Can I give you my number?"
"Of course." Dream opens a new contact and presents his phone; Hob types in his info with impressive speed and hands it back.
"Send me a text so I've got yours? My phone's still in the other room."
"Of course," Dream repeats, already composing the message as Hob stands from the small table. This is Dream—I look forward to our date tomorrow. Simple and to the point. Truthful and sincere. Nothing embarrassingly forward like the thoughts running rampant in his head. I want to rub my cheek in your sweaty chest hair like a cat. Or I would like to peel your shorts from your magnificent arse with my teeth. Surely that is too much for a first text preceding a first date. He will refrain.
"I've got another class to teach so I've got to run," Hob is saying as he pushes his chair back in. "But I'm delighted to have met you and I'm glad I won't be seeing you in class again, heh." He winks, an actual genuine wink that charms Dream all over again.
"As am I." He leaves it at that, never mind how badly he wants to say something smoky and lascivious about Hob giving him private instruction in whatever techniques he cares to demonstrate; he thinks that one of them might combust if he could deliver the line correctly, and possibly it would not be him. But he will save it for tomorrow evening, should the date go well. "I will see you tomorrow."
"Looking forward to it." Hob flashes his sunny smile again and turns, striding quickly back to the gym proper.
Dream watches him go, tight round arse and toned hairy thighs on perfect display, and shifts a little in his seat.
He has a feeling the date will go very well indeed.

It should be noted that I cannot vouch for whether or not the squat modification used herein is legit or safe. The validity of the exercise was obviously not the point of this fic, but, y'know. Just in case.

𝙎𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙬 𝙔𝙤𝙪! (Song Mingi x Reader)
Tumblr media
Synopsis: You and your best friend (and lowkey, crush), Mingi, have an unspoken competition to see who can cover their room in the most band posters. Unfortunately for you, the best spot for your new Nine Inch Nails poster is a little too high up.
A/N: A tribute for our pop punk prince! I love this to bits.
If your wallet wasn’t screaming in pain from the sheer amount of money you’d spent hours before,  the joints in your knees definitely were as you stretched high, a coveted Nine Inch Nails poster in your grasp. There was barely any space on your bedroom walls for any more band posters, but you couldn’t help but order more in bulk. After all, Mingi’s entire ceiling was poster-clad; you couldn’t let him beat you out  in wall decor.
“Go on your tiptoes. Maybe it’ll add a good centimeter or two for reaching.”
You turn and glare at him laying on your bed lazily, the homework you’d been working on sitting abandoned at the foot. He wasn’t even watching you, opting to stare at some video essay on his phone — probably some Warped Tour controversy from 2011.
“Can it!” you huff, grabbing the nearest object — a glittery gel pen — and chucking it at his forehead. He lets out a yelp and jerks back, narrowly missing the Of Mice & Men poster behind him.
“Hey!” he pouts, crossing his arms. His hair, freshly dyed back to black, falls in front of his eyes. “That’s assault, I’ll have you know. I could sue you for that.”
You shake your head, turning around to reach back to the spot of choice for the Nine Inch Nails poster. “With what money?” you ask. “You blew it all last week on that stupid vinyl collection.”
You hear him gasp in (somewhat) fake offense. “It’s not stupid!” he insists. “It’s every Fall Out Boy album in top condition, no resells. That’s a fucking deal! Don’t be jealous of me.”
“Trust me,” you chuckle, your voice strained as you hop up on one foot, trying to gain the height needed to get the damn poster in place.
“I’m not jealous. I just think it was a waste of money on your part, Min.”
“Oh, that’s rich,” he mutters. “Didn’t you just spend your entire paycheck on — Wait. What’re you doing?”
In the middle of his refuting, you’d grabbed the beanbag chair from the corner of your room to boost yourself, the object notorious for being on the verge of falling apart at its seams. You look back at him, an eyebrow raised. “Climbing up. What does it look like I’m doing?”
“No!” he exclaims, slight panic edging his voice. “You’re gonna fall off that shit and die. You’ve got terrible balance, dude. Get off of it.”
Your face twists into a scowl at his words. “Hell no!” you reply indignantly. “I’m fine. My balance is great, thank you. I won’t fall.”
You stretch upwards, your body wobbling a little from the instability of the beanbag chair. It makes you a little anxious (you really don’t want to eat shit in front of the best friend you might have a thing for), but you’re not about to take defeat in the unspoken competition between you two. Frankly, you’d rather die.
It takes a moment or two of you unceremoniously shaking on the beanbag chair before your hear Mingi curse under his breath; before you know it, the poster you’re holding is snatched out of your hands.
“Oi!” you hiss. Before you can continue your retort, though, you feel his chest press against your back, and he mutters a quiet “Shut up,” in your ear. You watch as he sticks the poster on the wall with ease (when did he get this close to you, again?) before he backs up.
“You should’ve just asked me to do it, idiot.”
You barely hear him, your heartbeat drumming so loud in your chest that your body feels like a boombox. Ugh. I’m down bad, you think. You know you’re not the best at masking how you feel around the taller boy, but you hope to God that he can’t hear your heart pounding.
You’re shaken out of your thoughts when you feel a finger jab you gently on the arm. “Oi,” he says, a little softer than before. “You alright?”
You blink a couple of times before you comprehend what he says.
“Y-Yeah,” you nod, a little too shakily to look or sound legit. “I just…Uh…The chair made me a little nervous, that’s all.” You step off of the worn thing, staring up at him.
His lips quirk up into a cute little smirk at that, and he kicks at the beanbag like he’s disgusted by it. “You gotta throw this thing out. I’m surprised it didn’t fall apart as soon as you stepped on it.”
“It’s sentimental!” you protest, trying to ignore the way he looks at you all concerned-like. “I think I’ll break before it does.”
Before you know it, Mingi’s pulling you into his chest, warm from laying on your bed for hours. His hoodie-clad arms encircle your shorter form.
“Nah,” he mumbles, his voice right by your ear. “I wouldn’t let that happen.”
Shit, you think, more color flooding to your cheeks. I’m really down bad. Screw you, Song Mingi.

you have a choice. you can stay in the room where you are the best, where people rely on you, turn to you to learn, to improve. you can satisfy your ego and bask in the awareness that no one is above you.
or you can step into the room where you are not the best — where, in fact, you might be the worst at what you do. you can finally realize that there will always be someone better than you, humble yourself, cry, and wallow in self-pity.
you can remain in the room where you are praised and admired, or you can surround yourself with people who are better and more experienced than you. you can accept that there’s still a long way to go, that your talent and effort are nowhere near enough, and struggle to keep up with those who are truly better than you. then — and only then — you can unlock your true potential.
it is only by believing you’re far behind others that you’ll improve more than you ever thought possible.

studies show that we grow most when we step outside of our comfort zones. according to a study published in the « journal of experimental psychology », being exposed to challenging and unfamiliar tasks increases brain plasticity, the brain's ability to adapt and develop new neural pathways. when you’re the “worst” in the room, your brain is forced to engage, learn, and adapt — activating areas responsible for problem-solving and critical thinking.
the “zone of proximal development”
lev vygotsky, a developmental psychologist, introduced the concept of the "zone of proximal development" (zpd) — the sweet spot where tasks are just beyond your current abilities. learning happens most effectively within this zone, but only if you're willing to confront challenges head-on. surrounding yourself with people who are more skilled or experienced than you puts you directly into this zone.
embracing failure as a learning tool
a 2011 study by ayelet fishbach and lauren eskreis-winkler, published in the journal of experimental social psychology, highlighted that experiencing failure can actually improve motivation and learning. the researchers found that when individuals interpret failure as an opportunity to learn rather than a threat to their ego, they develop greater resilience and determination in achieving their goals. this approach transforms the initial discomfort of not being the best into a powerful driver for personal growth.
how to start stepping into the “hard” rooms
adopt a growth mindset: psychologist carol dweck's research highlights the power of a growth mindset — believing that skills and intelligence can improve with effort. view every setback as an opportunity to learn.
reframe comparisons: instead of feeling inadequate when others outperform you, see them as resources. ask questions, learn from their methods, and let their expertise challenge you.
set stretch goals: aim for targets that feel slightly out of reach. they should scare you just enough to make you uncomfortable — but also excited to try.
stepping into the room where you’re not the best is scary. it might hurt your pride. but science is clear: true growth comes from struggle, humility, and persistence. the next time you feel like you're the worst in the room, remember — you're in the perfect place to unlock your potential.

Her mind rang with one thought over and over again, she needed to get out of here. She hadn’t moved from her desk since he hung up,  too busy thinking about everything he had said, too busy trying to convince herself that it was just a dream and she would wake up soon.
She grimaced when she felt the stickiness of her socks, peeling them off to reveal small cuts littered across the bottoms of her feet. She poorly bandaged them, just enough to make it through airport security and not be questioned.
She grabbed her suitcase, wincing with each step she took as she shoved clothes into it. She would’ve been moving out of her dorm and back in with her parents next week, but seeing Jack couldn’t wait.
It was nearing an hour and a half before her last-minute flight to New Jersey was set to leave, and she all but rushed to her Uber, climbing in and staring out the window hoping the driver would get the hint that she wasn’t in a chatty mood.
She mumbled a ‘thank you’ to the driver, making a mental note to tip him well once she was able to. She went through security smoothly, giving her best fake smile and trying to make sure her energy was positive enough not to cause any suspicion or alarm.
Stepping onto the plane and settling in her seat, she realized the small sliver of good luck the universe decided to throw her way today was the fact that nobody was sitting next to her. She put her headphones on and listened to a podcast the whole flight, though she wasn’t paying attention to any of the words spoken.
゚+*:୨୧:*﹤
She had gotten in what seemed like a 20-minute nap, one that supplied her with enough energy to get her luggage and make her way to Jack’s apartment. She had scrolled through her texts, way far back to the beginning of September to retain his address, it had been a while since she visited Jack.
The Uber ride was quiet, much like the one she took back in California. The driver didn’t say anything about her lack of energy and the tear stains that had reappeared on her cheeks. She counted each tree they passed, keeping her sight on them until they were too far gone for her to see each one.
If it wasn’t for the slight jerk her body did when the car came to a stop, she wouldn’t have registered the fact that they had made it to Jack’s apartment building. She climbed out of the car, her suitcase in tow and he said a quiet goodbye to her driver before making her way up to his floor.
Her knock was soft enough that she wasn’t even sure she did knock, but the sound of footsteps and the lock unlocking proved her wrong. A mop of hair appeared in front of her, messy as always. Jack ran a hand down his face, blinking rapidly to clear his eyesight.
“Jacky.”
Her whimper pulled him into full consciousness, eyes opening wide as he took in her appearance. He scanned her from head to toe, everything from her rumpled sweatshirt to her worn Converse she had thrown on. When his gaze made its way back up to her face, he saw the tear streaks down her cheeks.
“Chlo…” He pulled her into a hug, listening as she broke down for the umpteenth time since the previous night.
Bringing her into the apartment, he dragged her suitcase in one hand and closed the door with his foot, leading her toward the couch. He allowed her to collapse, taking him with her as they settled onto the cushiony surface.
He didn’t say anything else, simply letting her cry it all out as he ran his hand across her back, trying to bring her the comfort she needed. Each sob she let out made his heart crack and his anger grow. He hadn’t seen her this upset since she and Hayden broke up; somehow, it was worse now than it was then.
Eventually, her sobs turned into hiccups that turned into sniffles. She stilled, letting all her thoughts rush back into her mind as she stared off into the distance. Crying had seemed like a brief distraction from the cluttered mess that was her brain, allowing her to let her emotions out.
Jack breathed a small sigh of relief as her breathing steadied, taking in the quiet and tense atmosphere her silence had brought on. He didn’t pull away or make her look at him, just pressed a kiss to her head before speaking softly, “What happened?”
She shook her head, blinking away new tears. She didn’t want to think about it, let alone talk about it. Plus, how was she supposed to tell her brother that his friend broke her heart? That’s right, she couldn’t. She couldn’t be the one who ruined the friendship because she was naive enough to not only let herself fall for him but to believe that he reciprocated the feelings.
“C’mon, Chloe. Talk to me.”
She bit her lip, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. Maybe she could just tell him without letting him find out who she was talking about.
“He hurt me.”
Those three words were Jack’s heart’s tipping point, he could physically feel it break into two pieces, right down the middle. He had had to sit through a conversation like this before and he hated every single second of it. And if he was honest, it did not get easier the second time around.
“Who?” Jack’s voice was calm, cool, and collected, but Chloe could easily make out the sharp undertone in his word.
When he didn’t get an answer, anger flashed in his eyes. Not at her, of course, he would never be mad at his sister for some guy, who probably didn’t matter, breaking her heart. She deserved the world, especially after everything she had been through.
He could tell she didn’t want to talk anymore, however. So he helped her sit up, smoothing out her hair as she wiped at her face, trying to rid the evidence that she was crying. He placed another kiss on her head before getting up, getting a glass of water in the kitchen before coming back and kneeling in front of her, helping her grasp the glass.
She took small sips, letting the cool liquid ease her sore throat from the harsh sobs she had let out minutes prior. She got halfway through the glass before she rested it down on her knee, avoiding meeting Jack’s eyes as she looked anywhere else.
“I’m tired.” Her voice was rough, somewhat gravely, as she declared her exhaustion.
Her brother nodded, taking the glass from her and reaching out his hand. She took it, standing up and following him towards the small guest room his apartment had. The two stopped in the doorway, Jack holding both her water and her suitcase as her eyes trailed over the plain furniture.
“I- Can-”
He recognized her stammering as panic, nodding his head in response, “C’mon.”
He then guided her towards his room, allowing her to go into the bathroom to change so he could straighten up the bedsheets and throw stray dirty t-shirts into his laundry basket.
Chloe stared at herself in the mirror, noticing the tears that she hadn’t been able to wipe up before they dried, her bloodshot eyes from rubbing at them too much, her still messy hair that they couldn’t get to lay flat, her wrinkled hoodie. God, she looked like a mess.
She fumbled around with her hairbrush, untangling the knots in her hair harsher than usual. The same went for as she brushed her teeth and washed her face, her actions more forceful than they needed to be.
She placed the washcloth down on the sink counter, staring back up at her reflection. While the makeup had washed off easily and her hair had been restored to its natural state, she could still see the red in her eyes.
She shook her head, silently cursing at herself to stop thinking about it. He made up his mind, and she should move on from that. But the tiny voice in the back of her mind couldn’t let go of what they had, what they could’ve been.
She changed out of her clothes, relaxing into the pajamas she had haphazardly thrown into her suitcase before leaving. When she took her socks off, she was met with the sight of red bandages, ones that she had completely forgotten about.
She searched Jack’s cupboards, looking for a first-aid kit that she knew he had somewhere in the apartment. She was relieved when she found it, that meant she didn’t have to tell Jack about this until tomorrow.
She mimicked the poor bandaging process she had done earlier, slipping her socks back on before she shuffled out of the bathroom, making her way over to where Jack sat, typing on his phone, no doubt texting his parents or his coach.
He looked up when he heard the soft click of the bedroom door and he softened once he saw how tired she actually was, “Hey.”
“Hi.”
“I texted mom.”
She froze even though she had known that he would do so, “Oh.”
“I didn’t tell her anything, just that you flew out here and showed up tonight. She tried asking but I figured that was something you should talk to her about.”
Chloe nodded, sliding under the sheets and resting her head against the pillow. Jack followed suit, placing his phone on the nightstand before facing her, pulling the comforter up to just beneath his chin, “I have a game tomorrow. Do you want me to stay here?”
“No, I couldn’t ask you to do that.”
“You’re not asking, I’m offering, Chlo. Do you want me to stay here?” He repeated.
She sighed, nodding. The thought of having to stay in Jack’s apartment, one that she had barely visited and had only been in for less than two hours collectively, didn’t seem appealing. Add on the fact that she was in a city she didn’t know, she wanted Jack here and even though she wanted him to go and play, she couldn’t help but let herself be selfish just a tiny bit.
“Okay. I’ll text coach in the morning.
With that, she slowly drifted off to sleep, leaving thoughts of the day behind.
゚+*:୨୧:*﹤
Jack woke up to sounds coming from the bathroom, something clattering against the tile. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, raking a hand through his hair as he sat up. His eyes found the purple suitcase and that’s when last night's events came rushing back to him.
He was quick to make his way over to the bathroom, knocking softly, “Chlo? You okay?”
“No.” Her voice was laced with tears, and he was pretty sure she was on the edge of breaking once again.
He was about to ask if he could come in when he heard the door unlock and more things clanging against each other. Walking into the bathroom, he saw his sister leaning up against the wall, feet out in front of her, and all the previous effort of trying to make it look like she wasn’t crying was for nothing with her tear-rimmed eyes and messy low ponytail.
“I need help.”
He gave her a curious look, one that would’ve usually made her topple over with laughter at how stupid it was, but this time it just made a tear fall down her face.
She motioned to her feet and Jack finally saw what she was talking about; small cuts that wouldn’t have been visible if it weren’t for tiny amounts of blood lining them. They covered a majority of the balls of her feet and the heels as well.
“What happened?” His voice was high and squeaky, kneeling to take a closer look.
“I broke a picture frame yesterday,” she hiccuped, trying to keep the tears at bay. “I kind of stepped on the glass.”
“Kind of? Chloe, your feet are littered with cuts! I think you did more than just step on glass.”
“Jack, please. I don’t want to talk about it.”
He sighed but nodded. If she didn’t want to talk about it, he wouldn’t make her. He moved to grab the first-aid kit that she still had sitting open on the ground next to her, cleaning up the cuts and placing gauze on her feet before wrapping them up.
“You’re lucky you didn’t have to go to the hospital.”
She just gave a small huff of acknowledgment before continuing to watch him bandage her feet, much better than both her previous attempts. And once he was done, he looked up at her, a frown tugging at his lips, as she mumbled an ‘I’m sorry’.
“You don’t have to be sorry, for anything. You’re my sister, if you need me I’ll be there, even if it’s the middle of the night and I’m, I don’t know, in Switzerland-” Chloe couldn’t help the small laugh that escaped her causing Jack to smile, “Wherever I’m at, I’ll be there. I promise.”

Jack and Chloe flew to their parents' house once the Devils’ season concluded. When they arrived, Chloe was taken into her mother’s arms and they spent most of her first day there watching cheesy rom-coms and laughing about dumb things while eating their favorite foods.
After that, Chloe was sure that she felt better about the whole situation, that she had moved past it. But most days, she found herself curled up in her bed, rewatching White Collar and letting her thoughts consume her.
Luckily, she was never alone. Most of the time, Luke and Jack took turns spending the day with her, trying to help her out of this funk she had found herself in. And while she loved that her brothers were there to take care of her, she couldn’t stop the feeling of longing she had for the comforting presence of her older brother.
Quinn’s season had been slightly longer than Jack’s which caused him to fly home about a week later, only being briefly caught up on everything that had happened. He hadn’t even stepped through the door of the home when Ellen started ushering him up to her daughter’s room, whispering about how much Chloe needed.
He opened the door, stepping into the dimly lit room. It was late, nearing 10, and the only form of light he had was the soft glow that came from her koala night light that he had gotten for her 6th birthday and her laptop that was sitting on her legs, playing the theme song of her favorite show.
The laptop illuminated her face but he couldn’t really see her, just the hood of her hoodie that was pulled as far down as possible while still letting her see the screen. She was holding a thing of ice cream, going in between eating large bites and bites that contained mostly air.
It was only when he kneeled onto the bed that she noticed he was there, eyes snapping up to meet his gaze and it seemed like all the emotions she had been struggling to keep in for the past eight days finally broke free, tears streaming down her face as Quinn brought her into a hug, head buried into his chest.
He closed her computer, placing it on the nightstand followed by removing her ice cream from her hand and setting it next to it. Her cries didn’t last long, though, dying out a mere couple minutes later. The emotions she had built up seemed to not be a lot in hindsight, maybe she had really cried herself dry back in New Jersey. Or maybe the sadness she had thought she was keeping down was anger instead.
All Quinn had to do once she stopped crying was ask what happened and words were tumbling out of her mouth, him struggling to keep up. He tried his best to retain every single little detail she mentioned, from the words he had said to the clothes she was wearing when it happened.
Halfway through her rant, she had let his name slip from her mouth, all too caught up in her rambling to notice. Yet, the look on her older brother’s face caused her to stop, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion as she saw something that resembled fury shine in his eyes. It was then that she realized that she had said Trevor’s name.
It had been 13 days since she said his name, 13 days since she even thought about his name. Sure, she had pictured him vividly - light brunette messy curls, bright smile, light brown eyes staring back at her -, and thought about how his voice sounded both before and during the phone call, but she had never once gained the courage to think his name.
Quinn knew, one look and that’s all it took. He knew, no matter how much they both thought they were being sneaky. He couldn’t let her see the argument he was creating in his head, one that even if he wanted to yell at the top of his lungs, he wouldn’t. Because even though they had broken up, he could see how deeply Chloe cared for him, and hurting him would only make her hurt worse.
He shook his head, giving her the signal to continue on her rant and the promise that he would ‘forget’ that piece of information even though they both knew he wouldn’t.
Once she had exhausted herself both from crying and talking, Quinn laid beside her, continuing to watch White Collar with her. And before the episode was even over, she was asleep, her mind finally quiet for the first time in weeks.

Hi!!! I came across your art on pinterest and thought it was the coolest thing ever. I’m a young artist slowly working towards making a graphic novels about my ocs! I’m sure the road to where you are now has been tricky, so I gotta ask…what’s the best advice you could give to artists trying to make ends meet? Is pursuing art as a career as cool as it sounds? Thank you so much for inspiring my work, hope you take care!! ^_^
Hello there and thank you for the kind message. It’s always great to see new talent working on their passion projects!    I’m not sure I’m the best person to give advice on the matter, however, as I don’t work as a full-time artist! While from one perspective social media shares and likes give an idea of certain level of success, it’s not what translates into mundane living – at least not in my case. I’m a student, part-time worker, and do art on the side as a treat. On top of that, never been hired in the field beside odd freelance gigs.    This is not to say art as a career isn’t cool. It is – just depends on how you wish to do it and what you consider cool. For me, I need another job beside art to make ends meet, but also to prevent art block and burnouts. On the other hand, this gives me more freedom to draw my oc art and take projects that inspire me!     I guess in nutshell my advice would be to not worry too much about making it big one way – life often doesn’t go that way, but art still finds its way to be made! The freedom of creating what makes you truly happy is the best feeling I can think of, and I strive to mold my life around that.     I’ve had fun sharing my doodles in these asks and  as a fellow oc enjoyer I’ll slide one of mine here as well – Tiberia, who’s part of the campaign in which Wreg is! I hope you also keep creating your oc art and enjoy it to the fullest <3

TreeHouse Chapter 11
"Matty wants to see you in his room."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Matt gets angry.
"Anger is like hot blood rushing through your veins."
⚠️This Fic Series will NOT be for people with triggers. This Fic Series will have very descriptive moments of abuse.⚠️
Please Read At Your Own Risk.
Chris' POV:
She said she wouldn't let it go; honestly, I didn't want her to. But I knew the things she didn't. I knew if Matt found out I even talked to her, I would probably die. I thought about death often. Not in the sense I wanted to die necessarily but more so in the sense if it happened, I wouldn't be surprised anymore. I decided to walk home instead of taking the bus to help avoid Sienna—my Nessie.
I remember everything about her now. I accidentally trauma-blocked her. Leaving her behind, not knowing I wasn't going to see her for years, was the worst thing to ever happen to me. Worse than any beating I have ever taken. I remember that evening clearly. We got home, and Mom was livid that Father allowed me to go over there. She punished me by hitting me with the kitchen broom over and over. I begged our dad to help me, but I think that was his breaking point. He stopped being my father that day.
Since then, everyone in the house has treated me this way. I was alone. I lost everything. I held onto Nessie for a while. I imagined us playing together in the treehouse often. Sometimes, when Matt would use me as his personal punching bag, I would picture her doe eyes lighting up when I did something silly. She was my anchor until I forgot her. No matter how hard I try, I can't pinpoint the exact moment I forgot; I just did.
I was coming up to her house. I walked a little slower, secretly hoping she would see me and stop me. It's not that I didn't want to talk to her or be friends again. I didn't want the assaults that I knew would come with her friendship.
"Chris!" I looked up and saw her walking to the gate. I felt a sense of relief. "Can we talk?" She asked. I knew I didn't have much time to talk, but I wanted to. I needed to hear her voice.
"Not long, okay?" I just needed to be home at a decent time so no one got suspicious of my absence. She opened the gate, and I passed through. I followed her to the treehouse. For some reason, coming here during the day felt different. It felt heavier. She climbed up without issues. I tried my best not to show the pain in my arm, but I still winced enough for her to notice.
"What happened to your arm?"
"We can talk, but not about that." I was stern. She had to know not to press the issue.
"Okay." Her voice was soft and a little broken. I looked around the treehouse. Nothing had changed.
"It looks the exact same," I told her.
"I haven't been in here in years." She was also looking around like it was brand new.
"Why?" I asked.
"You left, and it just reminded me of you too much." I felt my words lumping in my throat. I wanted to tell her everything. I needed her to know it wasn't my choice to leave her behind. I never would have. But I couldn't. If this was still the same kind-hearted, strong-willed Nessie, I knew she would try to help, and it would just make it worse. I avoided looking at her.
"I'm sorry," I muttered. I could feel her eyes on me, but I couldn't bring myself to look up at her.
"Are you guys brothers?" She asked again. I felt the lump in my throat dissipate into tears. I needed to leave.
"I have to get home." I lied. Nothing pleased me more than not being at home.
"Chris, you can tell me." She reached for me and grabbed my hand, which made my skin crawl. I lurched away from the unwanted contact. She looked hurt.
"I have to get home," I said, starting to climb down. She followed me, as I expected.
"Chris, what happened to you?" She pleaded for an answer I couldn't give her no matter how badly I wanted to. I kept walking. Eventually, I heard her footsteps stop following behind me. I didn't dare look back at her. I felt like I already knew what she looked like. I made it to our house. On the outside, it was well-kept and looked nice. You'd never guess the hell that happened inside of it.
"What took you so long to get home?" Mother was right by the door in seconds.
"I wal -" She smacked my face. I looked down at the floor.
"I didn't say you could talk." Her threat didn't make sense since she asked me a question. I nodded, still not looking up. Part of me didn't like looking at her face. She was my mother, but her disdain for my presence distorted how she looked at me. I wanted to envision a mother who loved and cared for me just like Matt and Nick. She smacked the side of my head again for nothing. "Matty wants to see you in his room." Her words made my blood cold. I felt a jolt of fear sting through my body. I lifted my head to look at her now. "Fucking go." She pushed me towards the hallway leading to their rooms and my old one. I sulked slowly, knowing nothing about this was going to end well. I stood outside his bedroom door shaking. My whole body already felt light, and my head was full of air, ready to pop. I knocked, knowing I had no choice but to.
"Get in here." Nothing about his tone was calm. I could tell he was already mad about something. I stepped into the room. "Shut the fucking door." He was standing in the middle of his room with his arms folded. I quietly shut the door. I noticed Nick's absence, which meant this would be very personal. "Drop your bag." I knew I had to do everything I was told to do because if I didn't, then I would just get punished by Mom. I dropped the bag on the floor with a thud. "Why were you talking to Si today?" I was going to die. My eyes widened, realizing he had seen her chasing me around at some point.
"She talked to me." I tried to explain.
"Why the fuck did you talk to Sienna?" Matt's voice boomed, and I whimpered at the sudden volume change. I knew it didn't matter what I said. He wouldn't care.
"I used to know her," I told the truth.
"Well, you don't fucking know her anymore." He walked up to me and slammed my back against his door. "Got it?" Before I could respond, he grabbed my uncut, shaggy hair and started slamming my hand back into the wooden frame. "I asked you a question." He hissed.
"Yes, Matt. I won't -" He threw me to the ground. I turned over to see him walking over to me. He reared his foot back and kicked me right in the stomach. I curled up. This was it. He kicked me again and again. I felt the sole of his shoes kissing my blood vessels until they popped, creating purple splotches.
"Sienna is fucking my girl." He was carelessly aiming his kick but ensured his white shoes made contact with my body. I started coughing and groaning from the fire rising inside me. "If I see you talk to her again -" He kicked my mouth. My head lurched back from the decisive blow. I felt warm liquid start oozing. "I will fucking kill you." He screamed. I'm sure everyone in the house heard him. I knew it would be the worst whenever Nick wasn't involved with Matt's special attention towards me. He kicked my face again, and I felt the blood splatter like a flicked paintbrush. He kept going, stomping on me every once in a while when he felt like really putting the pain on me. I was feeling sick to my stomach. I felt like I was going to throw up from the immense pain. "I better not see you talk to her ever again." Matt gave me one last kick to the face. He left his room to go somewhere. I lay on the floor with my tiny blood pool and splatters. His blood stained shoes left red foot prints leading out the door.
I wanted to cry, but no tears came out. I couldn't breathe, and for the first time since ever being treated this way, I wanted to die. I lay in his room, uncomfortable, fearing his return. The door opened, and I couldn't even move to look and see who it was. I was picked up and dragged down the hall with my feet sliding against the floor. I was tossed in the tub with all my clothes still on. The water was turned on, and I was left alone. I felt something bubbling inside me, and I let it out of my mouth. The bile burned coming up. There were red blood streaks mixed in. The water imediately started washing it away. As soon as I felt myself catching my breath, my eyes became too heavy to keep open.

Chapter 2
Chapter 3:
My breathing was uneven.
My body tense as I walk through the halls of the castle.
I had awoken this morning in my bed, alone and with no sign of my new husband. It had been a strange feeling waking up all alone but, just as I had felt the morning before, I could feel his gaze upon me without him physically near me. Even still, some of me felt empty when I awoke in our bed alone. A fear that all mornings would be lonely found itself deep within my heart. Last night had been unlike anything I could have dreamed of. When my dark king touched me, my body was on fire and completely at his whim. Consemating our marriage felt like two souls coming together. Not just two bodies bound together out of necessity, but out of want and desire. He had been so gentle and careful with me, so much so that I could convince myself that he must feel something deeper for me than pure obligation.  I attempt to shake the thought from my head as I travel the candle-lit hallways on my own.
I did not know my way around the castle yet, but something inside of me told me that I could not hide away all morning. I knew that I would have to face him eventually. I worried if he would feel differently for me in the cruel light of the morning. That perhaps he would see me and be displeased now that we had been officially wed. This fear struck me deeply whilst I dressed this morning with my two handmaidens. Another new gown for me to wear.
A gown of black velvet, molded to my body like a second skin. With a deep neckline that would expose the valley between my breasts if it were not for the sheer fabric carefully sewn into the velvet gown. Black beading traces up the sheer fabric, a design of vines and flowers emphasizing the black velvet gown. My long (h/c) curls are loose and cascade down my back. I was dressed with him in mind, hoping he would like the way the dress clung to my form. My hands trace the stone walls as I walk the halls, mentally attempting to recall exactly where the throne room was. The rough texture of the stone makes my fingers tingle, but I do not care to notice. My brain wanders with each passing step that I take. Until eventually I hear the sound of voices echoing down the hallway. I pass by a set of grand doors and stop in the doorway. I noticed the long wooden tables that were separated on two sides of the room, with only a single carpeted aisle in the middle of the room. Following the carpet path with my eyes, I spot the table at the head of the room. The table my husband sits at with another man, the two of them speaking to each other in hushed voices.
I breathe a deep sigh and force myself passed the doorway. I try my best to smile at the other people in the room who sit at the other tables. Members of my husband's court who smile at me back out of obligation. I pause at the table before my husband, who stops speaking with the mystery man once I am before him. He leans his head back against the cool wood of his chair, his eyes darkening a few shades as he studies me. The smirk he always seemed to wear plays on his lips as he looks me up and down. He takes in every inch of my body, every curve the dress clings to. His smirk grows when I curtsy before him, my eyes focused on my dark king and no one else. He tilts his head in approval before gesturing for me to stand and join him at his side. I walk around the table and give him a small smile when he stands and his hands reach out to take mine in his. He pulls my body to his, knocking the wind out of me momentarily.
"Good morning little dove..."
He pauses and leans in, his lips descending onto mine, granting me a tender kiss.
"... I am sorry I left you before you awoke this morning. I had things to attend to. I shall try not to make a habit of it."
He explains, pressing his forehead to mine. His thumbs draw circles on my hands whilst he holds them. His touch is gentle and considerate.
"You do not need to explain yourself. You are busy. I understand. I am the last thing you need to worry about."
I whisper the words, my eyes meeting his. He peers down at me in quiet contemplation. Perhaps he worried I would be a wife who relied on her husband too much for companionship. Or he feared that I would not understand that his duties far exceeded the new wife he had married out of obligation.
"Do you doubt your importance to me little dove? Have I not made my desire for you clear?"
His voice is lower when he speaks, his lips moving to my ear so he can whisper;
"Shall I prove my unwavering desire for you here? In the great hall amongst the members of my court? Hmm? Shall I fuck you in front of them all to prove that there is no one else I covet more than you?"
My breathing hitches at his words, our gazes locking together when he pulls back to look at me. The look he gives me is a mixture of delightful mischief as he knows exactly what his words have done to me. My cheeks are flushed, my heart is pounding, and I can feel the dampness of my arousal pooling between my legs. His smirk grows as he reaches out to place the back of his hand along my forehead and cheeks.
"Are you not feeling well my lady? You look feverish."
I give him a playful pout at his jape at my expense. My hands reach to pull his away from my forehead. I pull myself in against him, hands on his chest before responding quietly.
"Very funny. How else am I to react when you say such devilish things to me?"
I look up at him wide-eyed. The room around us is suddenly quiet and a small part of me fears that everyone somehow heard him and I speaking. Amused by this fear he smiles down at me and I cannot help but find myself ensnared by the beauty of his face. The contrast to what I had known he had done to become king to begin with. I would never have believed that 'Sauron the Terrible' could be so beautiful. But I also knew that he could change forms when he wanted. I wondered what those other forms looked like. I had only ever heard of his fair form. The long blonde hair and the elven ears, an appearance he wore to mock the elves he had enslaved upon his rise to power. This mockery was evident in the clothing he wore, shoes, and other jewelry pieces he would wear from time to time. The only two things he wore that we purely a reflection of who he was, his ring of power and the crown of Morgoth that adorned his head when he was in front of his court.
Without thinking I find myself reaching out to touch the base of his crown. Not because I wish to hold it, but because I wish to feel its dark power. His smile falters at the movement, his eyes watching me closely. I must look ridicilous as I stand on my tip toes to reach for his crown, but he humors me by tilting his head down slightly so I can reach it better. Once the palm of my hand reaches the blackened metal I feel somehing strange shoot through me. An odd feeling that I could not place. He can sense this odd feeling too, because his brow furrows the second I feel it. My eyes flutter closed and I breathe in deeply, the metal calling to me like a song I had never heard before. In my head, I see images and memories attached to the crown. I see the bloodlust, anger, and hatred that any barrer of the crown had felt. But I also feel the pain, torment, and trauma of the barrer as well. I see Sauron himself, in different forms, but undeniably him. I see all he had gone through and feel it in my very being until I can no longer stand another second of it. Forcing my eyes open, a tear escapes me, my lips quivering at the cold pulsating within me from his memories. Slowly I pull my hand away from the crown, my eyes locking with his once more.
"Do not pity me little dove. All I have done has brought me here. To where I belong."
He misunderstood my tears. For I do not pity him, I understand him in a way I never dreamed possible. How had one been seen and felt so much without imploding? How had he made it this far along?
"I would never pity you, my king. I am in awe of you. Of your very journey that brought you here. It is truly inspiring."
Doubt flashes over his eyes but I mean every word and he knows it. His hands find either side of my face and I realize that I am still standing on my tip toes. Without a warning, his lips find mine. He kisses me as though we are alone, and in this moment it does feel that way. His courtier's eyes fade into obscurity as long as I am in his arms, nothing else matters. I deepen the kiss without a care, his hands falling to my waist before pulling me in against him. I want more of him and he wants more of me, but when the faint clearing of a throat sounds from behind us, his lips leave mine. My chest is heaving from the lack of air, but I do not care about the witnesses.
"My lord-"
The man's voice stills in his throat as he looks at the man who has interrupted us. I can see the discomfort on the man's face as he attempts to speak once more but remains silent still.
"Do you not see I am busy with my wife? Whatever it is you have to say can wait. In fact, all of you need to leave. NOW."
My dark king's voice is full of authority, his voice rising. The others in the room stand up without question and I hear the sound of their chairs scraping against the stone of the great hall. The quick steps of the courtiers sound throughout the room while I peer up at my husband, my body at his whim and completely enthralled by him. Once we are alone he flicks his hand and the doors of the great hall slam shut and give us privacy. As his lips find mine once more. I do not miss a beat, I cling to him as his mouth explores my own. The caution of the night before seems to have ceased to exist as he lifts my body up onto the table he had been sitting at. He pushes the food and drinks out of the way and lays me against the firm wood of the table. He remains standing, leaning over the table, using his height to his advantage.
"I have thought of you all night. Whilst you slept beside me, all I could think about was taking you again."
I moan when he rasps the words against my throat. My hands are on his chest while he stands between my legs. He has me spread before him. Somewhere in the mess of our kiss, he managed to lift my dress up, exposing me to the cold. His smirk grows when he realizes I am not wearing undergarments.
"Why did you not take me again? I would give you anything you wanted as many times as you wanted my king. You need not ask. I am yours to use for your pleasure."
The words fall from my lips in a breathless whimper, his lips gently sucking on my neck. Marking me as his own.
"It is not only my pleasure I am thinking of. Besides it was your first time. You needed to rest and I quite enjoyed how sweet you looked curled up next to me. Like I was not the man that I am as if you were not bound to someone who has done the evil I have done."
I knew the evil he had done. The histories of what was once the way of life in Middle Earth and what is now have been taught to me since I came to be. Since I was an elven child. I had never mourned the life that Middle Earth once had for I had never known a time without Sauron's rule. And while I did not share his bloodlust or his desire for power and order, I could not bring myself to see him in a negative light. I had seen how soft he was with me, how much care he showed me in our time together, and surely that meant something.
"I cannot judge your past, my king. I can only live in the here and now. And what I feel for you is an unrelenting desire. A need to please you in whatever way you seek."
An undetectable look flickers over his face as he studies me below him. A look similar to the one he gave me last night. He draws circles along the inside of my thighs and breathes in a deep sigh. Slowly, his fingers trail up my thighs, pushing more of the fabric of my gown up, bunching it up around my waist. He does not speak, only keeps his eyes on me before getting onto his knees. His head disappears between my thighs and his lips find my sensitive bud. I breathe a sharp sigh when he gives my bud a kiss. My entire body felt as if it was extremely sensitive from the night before.
The sensitivity sends another sharp sigh up my spine, my breathing hitching when I feel his tongue dip between my folds. I gasp at the sensation, the night before he had only used his fingers to pleasure me before fucking me with his cock. I had no idea that his tongue could make me feel just as good.
"My word."
I whimper as his hands move to hold my thighs apart, his tongue delving ever deeper. I hear him chuckle at my words, but I cannot bring myself to be ashamed. My head is spinning and I feel so good that I could not care less if I said something embarrassing. I am so wet that I fear I could drown him in my arousal. But he tastes me as if I am the purest honey he has ever had. My hands grasp for something to hang onto as the familiar tightening in my stomach begins to build. I was going to cum at any moment and he could sense it. The way that my walls began to tighten around his tongue.
"I do not know if I can last another moment my king."
When he hears me speak, his tongue dives deeper inside of me, almost as if he likes the challenge of making me come undone around him. His pace quickens, his grip on my thighs tight. I lay there with my head continuing to spin, my body completely caught up in him. My back arches off of the table, my moans falling from my lips. I am loud but I do not care. If anyone hears us, that is on them. Let them hear how my king makes me feel so complete. Seeming to read my thoughts, his tongue gives another sharp flick of my sensitive bud and it is what sends me completely over the edge. I feel my legs tremble as I cum on his tongue. He laps up every drop, drinking from me like my body is the nectar of the gods. I lay there breathless, my body slowly coming down from its high. He remains safely tucked between my thighs until he has tasted every last drop of me. It is only then that he re-emerges, his satisfied smirk causing my cheeks to redden.
"You taste divine, little dove."
He rasps, his hands reaching for me. He pulls me up so I am no longer lying on the table, our bodies now face to face. It takes me a moment to collect myself, my head is still spinning from what he had done to me. I find myself resting my hands on his chest, my breathing uneven. He holds onto me when he realizes that I am dizzy. His gaze is soft. Slowly his lips find mine and it is the most gentle kiss I have ever felt. Almost as if he is trying to ground me as if he is trying to grant my brain much-needed clarity. I taste myself on his lips, the sweetness of my arousal sending a chill up my spine. It is only when he senses that my dizziness has subsided that he breaks the kiss. His eyes lock with mine.
"Tonight, there will be a ball to celebrate our marriage. All shall look upon you and kneel before their dark queen. That is why I left you this morning, to finalize the details."
I look back at him in wonder. He wanted to celebrate our marriage. It was a kind thing to be sure and completely unexpected.
"Sauron, you do not have to do all of this for me."
He nods, but his furrowed brows protest.
"I want to. But there is one thing I wish to ask you for in return."
I study him closely and mentally ponder what he could want from me. Instead, I lean into him and place my lips to his for a single kiss to his lips before peering up at him with a look of understanding.
"Whatever it is you want, I shall give it to you."
I mean the words and he knows I do. I have no clue what it was about him that made me fall so deeply so quickly. I should be wary of the man who had always been referred to as the great deceiver, but I could not bring myself to care if he was deceiving me. I only cared for his happiness. He knows this and I can sense it in the way that he looks down at me, recognition of what I had been thinking reflected in his eyes.
"Please do not call me Sauron. When I first came to be I was known by another name; Marion. I wish for you to call me this, only you. With you, I am the most myself I have been in over an age. Sauron is who I shall be with the world, but Marion is who I shall be for you and only you."
Tears find my eyes without warning. His request, so sweet that I almost wondered if I misheard him for a moment.
"Marion..."
I whisper in awe, his name falling from my lips so naturally it is as if I had never known him by another name. The smile that finds his lips is unlike any other that he has displayed in front of me thus far. It is a smile so genuine that I feel as if my heart will melt.
"... Marion, my king, and my husband, it is so nice to know your true name. For I shall serve you and no one else for all of my days. Until the end of time."
--
Day fell into night. Faster than my nerves were willing to accept. I had already survived a wedding before a court of strangers, but now I would have to face them all again. My nerves were on edge, worse now that I knew I would have to ready myself. My breathing is uneven as I stand in the center of the room, looking at my bed. My eyes glance over the three dresses that had been laid out before me with the help of my silent handmaidens. One emerald green, one red, and one pale blue. All of them are beautiful and beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of wearing.
"Which would you pick?"
I ask the blonde one, and hopefully, she will speak to me if I initiate it. But the maiden looks at me with wide eyes, glancing between me and the brunette she was always accompanied by. My heart hurts to look at my fellow elvish sisters, the silence that they seemed forced into.
"Please talk to me. I promise anything you say will stay between us. I cannot bear your forced silence."
I sound desperate when I speak with them, my hands on my heart as I plead with them. They do not speak though, instead, they look at each other with sympathetic expression. They want to speak to me, but for whatever reason they cannot.
"They will not speak to you little dove. Unless I allow them to."
My husband's voice sounds from the doorway. He had come in so quietly that I had not heard him prior to this moment. My eyes dart to him, noting how his tall form fills the doorway, his hands on either side of the wooden panel. My two maidens freeze in place, bodies standing straighter once they realize their king is here. I look at him in honest confusion whilst he takes a step inside of the room. The servants take a few steps back, curtsying before him. He waves them off carelessly with his eyes on me. Every step he takes towards me is countered by the elf maidens, like a dance of avoidance. As if space could spare them if he wanted to harm them.
"Why do they need to be silenced?"
I ask cautiously, unsure of what his response will be. Amusement finds his face, his eyes darkening a few shades when he glances over at the elves.
"The elves have always found themselves to be better than everyone else. They judge and condemn anything they believe to be beneath them. So, when I rose to power I thought it only fair that I put them in their place. Silencing their judgment and enslaving them amongst creatures they deemed so unworthy."
The elven maidens finally sidestep close enough to the door that they can leave. Curtsying one final time before closing our bedroom door behind them.
"Is it necessary? Could you make an exception for my maidens? It is awkward to communicate with them when they are silent all of the time."
My request amuses him thoroughly and causes him to chuckle. At first, he does not answer me, only turns his attention to the dresses that had been laid out on our bed. Quietly he observes the three options that had been provided. With one hand out, he traces over the fabric of each gown.
"What would you have me do little dove? Surely you know that if I allow them to speak it will only be a matter of time before others appeal to that kind heart of yours. Then you will want me to grant others the same permission. I cannot have others finding me weak because I care for you. They will use that care and exploit it for their own gain."
His logic is sound, but I do not agree and he knows it. He glances over at me when I move to stand at his side. The look he gives me is teasing almost as if he is testing me to try and push my luck on the topic.
"Marion."
I plead, my eyes wide. His amusement grows when I use his name.
"(y/n)."
He replies, eyes back to the gowns laid out on the bed. He picks the red gown up off of the dress and hands it to me.
"Wear this one."
The satin fabric is so soft and luxurious in my hands. Almost too precious to be touched by the likes of me. I nod quietly before laying it on top of the dresser beside the bed, where my undergarments are kept.
"I am an elf. Do you wish to silence me?"
I ask him, watching him closely as he collects the other two gowns and drapes them over the footer of our bed. He sighs and shoots me a look that tells me his amusement of the topic is starting to wear thin. So I decide to play dirty. I put my hands up in defense and give him an innocent doe-eyed expression before turning my back to him to expose the intricately tied corset of my black gown.
"Would you help me out of this? Since you scared off my handmaidens."
I keep my wide eyes on him as I glance over my shoulder, quietly beckoning for him to rid me of my dress. With raised eyebrows and a huff, his hands find the laces of my corset. His hands are rough with the strings as he begins undoing them one by one.
"I know what you are doing little dove and it is not going to work."
He rasps the words in my ear, breathing along my neck while he speaks. He may be saying that it is not going to work, but I feel the energy in the room changing around us. Like an invisible fog slowly descending on us.
"Humor me. Let's say I was able to tempt you into allowing me to get my way, how would that look? What would I need to do to tempt you into considering it?"
He finishes unlacing my corset while I speak, his hands finding my skin as he slowly pulls the fabric of my gown open. He traces my bare back before guiding his fingers up to either side of my shoulders. He pulls the long sleeves of my dress down and off of my arms and when he does the dress falls around me on the floor. Reminiscent of the way my wedding dress fell to the ground the night before. Stepping out of the dress I turn to face him completely naked. His eyes are darker, almost black while he studies me as if he is seeing me for the first time all over again.
"Perhaps you and I are even better matched for one another than I could have ever imagined."
He whispers, hands tracing my body and staring at my collarbone before slowly descending down to my bare breasts. My nipples harden under his touch and our gazes remain locked together as a battle of wills seems to ignite.
"I would never wish to silence you little dove. Even if you are an elf..."
He pauses, replying to my previous question.
"...No, I intend to make you scream for me. For all to hear. So no one ever doubts who it is you belong to."
I swallow hard at the words, a dampness forming between my thighs. A dampness he notices instantly. The smirk finds his lips as it always seems to in moments like this, but he does not act. Instead, he pulls away from me.
"Close your eyes and do not open them until I tell you to."
His tone is commanding and I know better than to defy him. I force my eyes closed and stand there, my other senses seeming to heighten as a result of my closed eyes. From behind my eyelids, I hear the sound of clothing being discarded onto the cool stone of our bedroom floor. My breathing hitches in anticipation, goosebumps erupting all over my skin as the room seems to grow cooler. I hear the bed dip down as if someone has laid down in it. After a moment I hear him speak once more.
"Open your eyes, sweetling."
I do not waste a second before doing as instructed and when I do I feel my heart skip a beat. He lays in our bed, directly in the middle with his head propped up on a pillow, hand pumping his cock as he watches me. He does not need to tell me to walk forward before I find myself doing it already. I walk from the foot of our bed, meeting him at the edge of our bed. I do not speak as I watch him slowly pump his cock, precum leaking from the tip. His beautiful length is thick and veiny, ready to tear me apart. I find myself frozen in place at the sight of him, completely naked, the muscles in his lower stomach tight as his cock begins to grow needy for friction. Slowly, unfreezing I crawl onto the bed, but stop when I have reached his side
"Swing one leg over me, darling... Do not be afraid, I shall be gentle. Just like I was last night."
I tremble, suddenly finding myself nervous. But I do as my king instructs and swing my leg over his torso, my aching cunt mere inches from his throbbing cock. I glance down at him and feel the nerves bubbling up to a new level of nervousness and he sees it. He places a hand on my hip before leaning up to kiss me. While our lips move together in perfect sync with one another, he uses his other hand to guide his cock between my soaked folds. He does not put himself inside of me at first. Instead, he gathers up some of my arousal to coat his cock before he dares to slowly insert himself inside of me. When he does this, my lips fall from his, my forehead against his. A moan falls from my lips as I feel him fill me, my ass flush against him once his cock is fully inside of me. This sensation is different from the one I had experienced the night before. He was filling me in a new way and I loved it.
"Marion."
I gasp, my lips moaning against his. At the mention of his name, he rolls his hips, his cock deeper inside of me. Slowly he begins to thrust up into me, my body unsure of what to do for a moment before naturally meeting his thrusts. Our kisses are sloppy and our bodies move together in unison while he fucks me. So deeply and so thoroughly that it almost feels like a dream that existed in only my mind. But it was reality and it felt so good. His hands grasp my breasts firmly but, unlike earlier, I feel the cold metal of his ring. His one ring. I break the kiss and find myself peering down at the golden band.
"Is it heavy? That ring that you wear? The one that rules them all?"
My question sounds silly, but I could never imagine holding so much power upon my finger. Up close it did not appear any different from a common golden band, but I knew that it was more special than I could ever comprehend. Sauron's gaze, still hungry, softens as he looks over every inch of my body in quiet appreciation as if I am a treasure. Without speaking a word he grinds himself against me once more, his cock moving deeper within me, hitting a new bundle of nerves that sends a chill up my spine.
"Would my wife like to try it on? Test its craftmanship for herself?"
I gasp at another roll of his hips. My lips part, a faint mewl falling from me. I would never question the craft of Sauron, Marion, for I knew he was one of the most skilled smiths in all of Middle Earth. I can feel the need to apologize on my lips but he stills that need with the pressing of his lips to mine. A kiss that grounds me and makes me want to soar at the same time. I feel my lips move against his like they were made for me, all-consuming. So much so that I do not feel his hand move his ring of power from his finger to my thumb. When he does this I feel a shift within me. Darkness, unlike anything I have ever known. Around me is a world like our own, but contorted into something else. I should be afraid of it, but I cannot bring myself to feel fear. Instead, I peer around in wonder. Was this a world he had created? Was this what he saw when he wore the ring himself?
"Well, little dove, what do you think? Does it feel heavy to you? Does it terrify you to see the unseen world?"
He rasps the words against my neck as his lips leave mine and descend lower. With one hand on his chest and the ring-clad hand drawing closer to my face as I bring it closer to inspect it I still do not fear the ring.
"It is not heavy and it does not scare me, my dark king. It is beautiful even with its darkness. It is perfect, but how could it be any less when it was you who created it?"
My compliment causes him to still his actions, his lips on my collarbone. Whatever he expected me to say, it was not this. I pull the ring off of me and find our gazes meeting in the light of our world. Gone were the dark shadows of the unseen world. He studies me closely as I lift his hand and slip his ring back onto his finger. My king's silence makes me worry that I have done something wrong. But the moment the thought flickers into my mind he shakes his head in protest. He uses my confusion as to what has made him quiet as an opportunity to flip our position, his cock pulling out of me long enough to pin me beneath him in our bed before pushing back inside of me. I moan at the loss and regaining of him inside of me. His lips push back down onto mine as he thrusts into me with a primal and dominating force that takes my breath away.
"Mine."
He growls in a tone that verges on animalistic. I find myself nodding as I maneuver my hips to meet his thrusts once more. He had said he would take it slow with me, but I liked the fact that he was not treating me as though I was made of glass. I found this part of him undeniable and so unbelievably tantalizing.
"Yours. Only yours my king."
I find myself replying as he stares down at me lost in lust. His eyes were darker and his jaw clenched tightly while thrusting his cock inside of my soaked sex. Every inch of his cock felt as if it was made to be inside of me. And I quietly contemplated how I could have ever known a time without him being so intimately mine. Though he had not said he was mine, I could feel it in the way that he looked at me. As if my wearing of his ring had changed something between the two of us. As if me seeing inside of his world without fear had made his desire for me more raw than it had been before.
"Do not doubt yourself little one, I am yours. Only yours."
I find myself smiling at his words, the response to the worry in my head. I wondered if there would ever be a time when I would tire of him peeking inside of my head, but right now it was nice. It was nice to communicate so closely.
The tip of his cock teases a deeper part of my sex, and it causes a white-hot feeling inside of me. A feeling that causes my bundle of nerves to buckle. I can feel my body nearing the same climax he had elicited from me earlier. At the thought, I can feel his cock straining within me, eager for his own release.
"I am going to cum inside of you. And I want to do it at the same time you come undone."
He makes sure that our gazes are locked together when he says this, leaving no question of whether I heard him or not. I nod, my hands reaching up to take his face in my grasp, my lips meeting his once again. The second our lips touch he thrusts one final time and we both come undone together. He keeps his lips connected with mine as our bodies get lost in their own coming down from the high we had been on. I feel him twitch inside of me one final time before he pulls out and gazes down at me.
"It is not very common for someone to see the unseen world and be unafraid. Much less such a sweet and virtuous little elf."
My cheeks redden at his words, but I cannot explain to him that I was not frightened. Even I could not explain it to myself. By all rights, I should have been terrified. I should have felt the corruption of the one ring other ring bearers had been, but I was unaffected.
Fascinated but unaffected all the same.
"Would you like me to be afraid my king? Is that truly what you want?"
A smirk befalls his lips as he shakes his head in protest for the second time this evening. No, instead lays in our bed beside me staring up at the canopy above us. He is quiet for only a moment before he guides my body to his. My head finds his shoulder and my hand rests on his chest.
"No, what I want is for you to understand that I have a specific way that I am ruling. I cannot have you questioning me in front of my servants again. However, I will grant you the chance to speak with your elven maidens. They shall be permitted to speak in our chamber, your dressing room, and the library. They cannot speak anywhere else."
I peer up at him, my heart skipping a beat as he allows himself to grant me this one wish. A small victory that I would take without question.
"Thank you."
I murmur before lifting my head off of his shoulder to give him a small kiss on the side of his cheek. He rolls his eyes at the action, almost as if he is ashamed that he gave me what I wanted.
"Yes, you are welcome little dove. Now, let us get ready. We have a party to attend after all."

y/n lay blank faced on her bed with her phone in hand. it had been hours since she’d gotten home from her classes, and now she was just scrolling mindlessly on tiktok out of boredom. her room was quiet except for the occasional hum of her heater and the everchanging audios blasting from her phone’s speakers.
she sighed, tossing her phone to the side resorting to staring at the ceiling. as the days were growing colder, y/n couldn’t help but to feel this growing sense of loneliness creeping in, like there was something missing that she couldn’t quite put her finger onㅡexcitement was the closest word she think of. she didn’t have many friends to talk to, or text, or hang out with—just her best friend natty, but the girl was currently unreachable as she had already fallen asleep after their brief phone call.
midterms were always the dryest times for y/n. after spending hours in the library, forcing far too many categories of knowledge down her throat for her own goodㅡ just to end up with barely above average scores, she was too drained to do much of anything else when she got home. but, it was hard to just sleep. she was intransigent when it came to resting after studying because she wanted to give herself the free time she’d lost instead. usually being on her phone, and rotting her brain away with the useless curated content that she handpicked for herself would suffice. but on days like thisㅡ where her studying ended close to (or in this case, after) midnight, it wasn’t nearly enough to satisfy the dopamine she was longing for.
after a few moments of lying in a frozen state of staring off into nothing, she reached for her laptop, opening it on impulse. omegle. it had been a while since she’d used it, and honestly, it wasn’t the best idea, but she figured it might help pass the time. and maybe it’d even give her some form of human interaction, though her hopes weren’t too high given the website’s reputation. she typed “k-pop” into the category field, hoping it’d narrow down the pool to people around her age who might share at least one interest with her.
the first few chats weren’t anything special. she ran through the typical brief hellos, the awkward pauses, and of course the familiar “stranger has disconnected.” a few times, however, she was met with the sight of creepy old men who took pleasure in flashing, reacting at lightning speed to skip the chats before things could get worse. some people seemed normal at first, friendly even, but as soon as they’d start saying weird thingsㅡor worse, making noises that gave away their intentions, it’d soil her mood once again as she refreshed her tab.
after getting skipped again for the umpteenth time, y/n found herself hovering her mouse over the “new chat” button, debating. she looked at the clock in the corner of her screen, she had already wasted 30 minutes trying to find a normal human being to talk to. she was beginning to wonder if this was really a good idea to begin with. was it even worth possibly getting harassed for another half hour, in the name of being social? she weighed her options: she could either waste another 2 hours on tiktok, or go to bed. neither seemed appetizing for the hunger of connection she craved. with a sigh, she decided to try one more. and if it didn’t work out, it just meant that it was time to call it a night. she clicked to start a new chat.
stranger is typing…
stranger: hii
you: hello
stranger: m23
you: f22
stranger: cam?
you: earn it?
this one didn’t seem too bad so far, but she wasn’t going to make an early judgement. the man seemed to respect her decision as he quickly changed the conversation. they kept things light, alternating on asking each other random questions back and forth about hobbies, favorite foods, movies, shows, and music. the conversation was easy, fun even, and y/n found herself smiling a little despite the earlier frustration. it was like she was finally getting what she was looking for. with the conversation being tame, he took it as a green light to ask again.
stranger: can i see you now?
you: fine lol
y/n hesitated before turning her camera on and adjusted her hair quickly before looking at the screen. the male in her vision had a sharp, almost angelic face, with delicate features that seemed to be personally sculpted by the man above. his hair was dark and tousled, the slight messiness giving him a laid-back, calm vibe with his headset only adding character to his visual as they laid over his ears. his eyes were a captivating deep brown. they were soft and friendly, it made it hard to look away. even through the webcam, it was clear he had this undeniable charm, his steady gaze hinting that he knew the effect he had on others. the two of them stayed still, ogling each other for a bit, the stare down only being interrupted when he abruptly started typing again.
stranger is typing…
stranger: damn ur fine lol
you: thx so are you
stranger: you in korea?
you: yeah
stranger: me too
stranger is typing…
stranger: audio?
you: yk what? yeah
heeseung and y/n both go to turn on their audio. while her room was silent, disregarding the small noise coming from her room’s heater, heeseung had r&b music softly playing in the background. it only added to this boy next door vibe she was getting from him. the two of them were silent for a second before heeseung decided to break the ice by speaking first.
“hello? let me know if you can hear me.” his voice came through clearly, deep and smooth, carrying a natural warmth that drew her in without him even trying. a part of her was convinced he had to secretly be a weirdo. what was someone as attractive as him even doing on this site, yet alone at this hour? she took a breath before answering.
“hi, yeah i can hear you,” she replied, her tone a little uncertain, unsure of how to match his cool energy. she wasn’t exactly the extroverted type of person to begin with, you can only imagine how much harder it was to speak when such a captivating face was waiting for her response in real time.
heeseung only chuckled softly, the sound seamlessly exuding natural confidence. “so… i guess we finally get to talk now.”
y/n smiled at his words, her need for approval rising as she juggled through all the responses she could make to keep him engaged, “yeah, seems like it,” she responded, her voice was steady now as she tried to shake off the nervousness creeping in.
heeseung chuckled, shifting closer to his keyboard as his fingers danced over the keys. the music in the background shifted, the beat changing just as he leaned back in his chair, folding his arms behind his head. his voice lowered a notch as he spoke, a hint of amusement in his tone. ”i’m, heeseung, by the way.”
“y/n,” she responded.
“i gotta admit,” he said, “i wasn’t sure if you’d actually turn on your mic.”
“why’s that?” she asked, an almost muted giggle escaping her lips as she twirled a strand of her hair, her fingers displaying how nervous she felt. heeseung watched her with a quiet intensity, noticing every little movement she made. the way her fingers fidgeted and how she avoided meeting his gaze through the screen.
“i don’t know,” he said, his tone lazy and nonchalant, but holding a teasing undertoneㅡ a subtle shift she didn’t quite catch onto. “guess i’m just lucky you did.” he didn’t say anything about her fidgeting, though. he didn’t need to. she seemed like the type to change her behavior once it was called out, and he was more captivated by it than he let on. there was something about her shyness, moreso the way she couldn’t quite hide it, that intrigued him. “so, what do you usually do when you’re not chatting with strangers on the internet?”
his question had caught y/n off guard for a brief moment, another nervous laugh slipping past her lips as she tugged on her shirt’s collar, adjusting it to make sure nothing was out of place though she didn’t actually need to. she didn’t know why, but something about talking to him felt different from the others. “uh, not much… if i’m not studying, i just watch tiktoks or call my friend if she’s not tired.” she replied hoping the answer sounded casual enough.
“hm, sounds like you’ve got some time to kill,” heeseung smirked, inching his chair closer to the screen. he opened a second tab, the soft clatter of his typing blending effortlessly with the mellow r&b drifting through the background.
“yeah, guess i do. life’s… kinda mundane, you know?” y/n replied sheepishly. her gaze followed his, noting the slight movement of his hands just out of view, but chucking it up to him searching for another song to play as the music shifted again. he didn’t back away from the screen this time, though. instead, he kept his eyes locked on hers, unwavering.
“i get it,” heeseung replied, his voice lowering slightly, but still keeping its laidback manner, like they were just two people having an ordinary conversation. “i’m the same, but i'm more of a youtube guy, i found out about this site through a video on there.” as he spoke, his finger subtly danced across the keyboard, the screen flickering with the quiet download of her IP address. his eyes stayed on the camera, his expression open and unreadable, like he was genuinely listening to her.
“that’s interesting, this app usually has a bad rep. like, there’s only creeps on here,” y/n said, though her words seemed to be misunderstood as heeseung furrowed his brows.
“are you trying to insinuate that i’m a creep?”
her eyes widened in shock, and she quickly slapped a hand over her mouth. a stutter broke through her words. “what?! no! i’m just saying—i’ve run into a lot of them tonight before i landed on you. so i was just… i don’t know. forget i said anything.” she sulked, her face reddening with embarrassment at her failed attempt to relate. heeseung watched in awe, his lips curving into a small, knowing smile, at her mannerisms, finding every one of her reactions so cute. sensing her discomfort, he smoothly shifted the topic.
“i’m kidding, y/n.” he grinned, showcasing his pearly whites. “so… what’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do but never got around to?” he asked, his tone light, but there was an underlying intensity to his gaze. he wasn’t just asking out of curiosity; he was studying her, absorbing every word she said, as if her answers would tell him everything he needed to know.
y/n paused, thinking for a moment before she answered. “probably traveling more. i feel like i’m always stuck in the same routine.”
“yeah, routines can be… limiting. but they’re also comforting, right?” he paused, his eyes flickering to a different part of his screen for just a moment before he continued. “you know, sometimes it’s those little moments, when everything feels a little too safe, that you need to shake things up.” he spoke so casually, like he was giving advice, but it sounded a bit odd to y/n. she couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to his words, though she couldn’t put her finger on what it was. regardless, she found herself wanting to stay, wanting to know more. and she was always too paranoid for her own good anyway. it was probably nothing.
“i guess.”
“oh. yeah, but is that the only reason you’re on here?” heeseung’s fingers were still moving on his keyboard, the quiet clicking of the keys going unnoticed now. he wasn’t just talking anymore—he was already pulling the strings, weaving a subtle web around her, all while his words remained smooth and harmless. y/n’s lips pursed in thought, the sudden change in the atmosphere making her feel more curious than she was letting on.
“what do you mean?” she asked, confusion creeping into her tone as she leaned forward, trying to get a better look at him. heeseung’s system, working silently in the background, had breached the security of her wifi by now, scanning through the connected devices, its main goal being to gain access to her phone.
“i mean… it’s almost 4am, saturday night. you’re a cute girl, seem kind of introverted, but you give off this vibe... like you’re looking for some fun.”
whatever dimwitted perception y/n formed of him had shattered. he was no different from any of the other men she’d encountered prior. “oh. i don’t really do… that,” she replied, a slight pout playing on her lips. she moved her mouse to hover over the skip button, but she didn’t click it. something was keeping her here. maybe it was the way he looked at her—too attractive, too confident. she wasn’t sure, but she didn’t move.
heeseung noticed her hesitation, his grin widening. “oh, neither do i,” he said in a humoring manner, brushing her reaction off as if his earlier comment didn’t mean anything. “i just had to test the waters. can you blame me though? it’s not every day you meet an attractive girl on here. you said it yourself, there’s usually only creeps on here, right?”
“yeah,” she laughed, the sound effortlessly drawn out as she got caught in the pull of his charm. any cautions she had before seemed to dissipate as she got lost in his eyes. she debated whether she should just give in—it wasn’t like they’d see each other again, right? but then, the stories about girls who made impulsive choices, and got extorted, crept into her mind. the fear of becoming just another statistic arose.
“what do you have in mind?” she asked, her words slipping out before she could think them through. her people-pleasing tendencies had kicked in, but the smile that spread across his face made her heart race. somehow, it felt good, like she was doing something right. and that made it feel worth it. rewarding, even.
“whatever you’re offering, baby,” heeseung replied smoothly, his voice dipping into an unfamiliar, alluring tone that made her body tingle. as he spoke, his hand moved subtly off-screen, clicking to start recording. the faintest smirk curled on his lips as he leaned closer to the camera, his eyes burning into hers with a suggestiveness that made her feel seen in a way she hadn’t before. desired. wanted.
“i don’t know,” she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. a nervous smile played on her lips as her fingers fidgeted with the hem of her shirt. her eyes darting away from the camera before flicking back to his. “i’ve never done anything like this before.”
heeseung tilted his head slightly, his smirk widening as he studied her. there was something about her naivety, the way she danced on the edge of her own boundaries, that made his pulse quicken. he decided then and there that if he wasn’t already obsessed before, he definitely was now. utterly and completely.
“well, i’m honored to be the first,” his voice dripped with seduction, but his eyes glinted with something far more sinister.
her cheeks flushed as she hesitated again, her fingers picking at the fabric of her shirt before she finally blurted, “could you maybe…” she paused, laughing softly at how ridiculous she felt to ask. “show me something, too? just to keep it fair.” her words made heeseung pause for a moment before a low chuckle escaped him, growing into full, unrestrained laughter. he leaned back in his chair, shaking his head in amusement, his eyes never leaving her face.
she was truly a character—everything about her was so… adorable. her openness, her immediate trust in a complete stranger, and the impulsivity that seemed to pour out of her without a second thought. it was intoxicating. she was everything he’d been looking for, everything someone like him—a man with desires he dared not say aloud—would dream of finding. and yet, beneath his amusement, there was a darker realization. if she wasn’t careful and kept giving away pieces of herself so easily, someone would take advantage of her. someone crueler, more reckless, more dangerous than him. he couldn’t let that happen. not with anyone else at least. she was his now. and if she was going to be ruined, it would only be by him.
“would you like it better if i go first?” heeseung inquired, his voice smooth as the corners of his lips nearly curled into a restrained smirk. he watched her reaction closely, catching the way her quick, almost desperate nod betrayed her displayed excitement. it was endearing, almost painfully so. it drove him crazy. he pursed his lips, feigning contemplation, before his smile grew wider, softer. “thought so,” he murmured, his tone carrying just enough teasing warmth to make her feel both at ease. she was completely under his spell.
he reached for his webcam, the movement slow as he decided to savor the moment. tilting it slightly, he aimed it downward, the lens capturing his relaxed posture, legs spread comfortably wide. the soft fabric of his sweatpants clung to him in just the right way, emphasizing his figure without him needing to do much at all. the unthought of confidence in his movements was enough to hold her gaze, her breath catching as the tension in the air thickened. his hands grazed over the fabric covering his length, a small hiss of relief leaving his lips as he did so. she had already gotten him painfully hard without even trying.
lifting his hips, he slides his sweats down. just enough for him to pull his cock out, an unintentional gasp falling from y/n’s lips at the sight of it. he couldn’t hide the rush of pride that surfaced at her reaction. it was a response he’d grown accustomed to from his long list of other victims on the site, but there was something about y/n that struck him differently. her wide-eyed gaze, the way her lips parted slightly as if she wanted to speak but couldn’t find the words—it was enough to ignite a deeper need within him, a desire to draw her in further, to leave her completely captivated by him.
a quiet curse slipped past his lips as he stroked, his hand barely being able to wrap around its girth. his movements were meticulous, unhurried as he moved to spread his precum over the rest of his length. he leaned back slightly, his gaze never leaving her face. his dark eyes carried a silent command, the faintest nod of his head urging her to follow his lead. he didn’t have to say a word—his confidence, his control, it was all laid bare in the way he watched her, waiting to see how far she would go.
it was then that y/n realized she couldn't back out now. not that she wanted toㅡ her curiosity, mingled with the pull he had over her, kept her rooted in place. but it was starting to feel too real, the weight of the moment sinking in as she hesitated, unsure of what he was expecting. the fact that he left it up to her made it even more difficult. her mind raced as she nervously tugged at the bottom of her shirt, praying her choice would be enough to satisfy him.
heeseung's gaze didn't waver, his expression unreadable but intent, as though he were savoring every second of her hesitation. when she finally moved, lifting her shirt to display her breasts. her cheeks burned as she moved her hands over one, massaging and pinching her nipples. his lips twitched into the faintest smile. to her, his reaction was subtle, leaving her questioning if she'd done enough.
but to heeseung, it was everything.to him, everything about her was intoxicating to him, from the nervous way she moved, to the unsure glances she gave him. he would have been satisfied just seeing her collarbone. his heart raced at the thought of how easily she gave in, how willingly vulnerable she was in front of him. it inflated his ego even more, knowing he was the first to witness this side of her.
he forced himself to keep his expression composed, though his excitement was nearly impossible to contain. the speed of his fingers absentmindedly sped up, thinking of how he’d be able to relive it again later tonight. and he’d make sure to replay every moment, over and over, obsessing over the way she unwittingly gave herself to him.“ah~ fuck, y/n,” he whimpered, unable to contain the heat growing over him. his eyes snapped shut, immediately imagining his hand to be hers. his hips bucked, as he began thrusting into his fist chasing the feeling of a body he knew now that he just had to get his hands on. tonight wasn’t going to be enough, he needed more.
y/n didn’t know where her confidence was coming from when her free hand snaked its way down to the hem of her shorts as she pushed past them straight into her panties. she scooted into a slouch allowing herself easier access as she began rubbing on her clit, the pressure soothing its throbbing ache and sending a sweet, shocking sensation throughout her body. she couldn’t bite back the moan that slipped outㅡ the noise sounding like music to heeseung’s ears. oh how jealous he was of her hands now. being able to touch her because he couldn’t. it wasn’t enough, nowhere near it.
”look at me,” he murmured, his voice rough, making her cheeks flush as she slowly opened her eyes to meet his. his gaze was full of desire, making her feel small in a way that was strangely exhilarating. she found herself wanting nothing more than to impress him. she bit her lip as she quickly moved to lower the camera, aiming it to display more of her chest and downward before returning to her prior position on the chair. it didn’t even matter to him that her shorts kept her beautiful cunt a mystery to himㅡ the whole picture was so fucking sexy. the way she was playing with her nipples, pinching and rolling them, the speed of her circular motions increasing as she chased her orgasm, the way her tongue rested on her bottom lip before she bit it, the way sheㅡ
“heeseung~ oh my god.”
fuck. if he was wasn’t already stroking fast enough, he was moving at godspeed now. he wasn’t sure how much longer he could hold back. he rubbed his thumb along his tip’s slit as he kept his pace, the action leaving his hips stuttering. he was so close, and y/n was too. she couldn’t control the volume of her moans, gripping her breast like her life depended on it. “i’m gonna cum, oh my god, oh my god,” the desperation in her voice made him come undone as he bit back a loud, throaty moan. but she kept going, still chasing her climax as her moans got choked out the harder she went on herself.
just as she was about to cum, when she was almost there, her computer suddenly shut down. the screen went black without warning, leaving only an empty, lifeless void. heeseung watched as her screen flickered and then turned dark, his heart sinking in frustration. “fuck!” he swore, shooting forward in his chair, eyes fixed on the blank screen. he slammed a fist on the desk in irritation before quickly ending the recording. his hands moved frantically over the keyboard, reopening his hacking program, desperately trying to figure out what went wrong.
y/n didn’t even notice, her orgasm crashed over her as she felt like every nerve, and cell in her body had come undone. she kept her eyes closed as she let out a breathless sigh, regaining her composure. after a few seconds, y/n opened her eyes to see that her laptop was blank. she frantically clicked on buttons trying to turn it on, clicking the power button which only displayed a red drained battery as if to mock her further. of all times it could have decided to die, why now? the frustration and panic settled in as she realized she may never get to see him again. she didn’t have any ways to contact him, but would he even want to hear from her again? doubt clouded her mind. now there was no way of knowing. she wanted to keep talking to him, but the odds seemed slim. with a heavy sigh, she jumped up, scrambling to plug her laptop into the charger.
meanwhile, heeseung was still navigating through her information. he had closed out of omegle and now his focus was entirely on troubleshooting. he noticed her computer no longer showed up on the network, the last activity was two minutes ago. “that piece of shit must’ve died,” he grumbled under his breath. he figured now would be the time to access her phone’s camera as it would be useless trying to find her again on the website. switching servers on the program, he downloaded the data to his phone and went to lay down. he watched through the front camera on her phone, but it remained in the same spot unmoving. he was getting frustrated.
y/n had wasted almost 45 minutes skipping through hundreds of people in search of his face on omegle. but to no avail, his face never came up again. it was 6am, and she had plans with natty to go through with in the evening. as much as she didn’t want to right now, she had to sleep. oth of them, in their own way, ended up resigned to their separate fates. y/n reluctantly accepted her defeat, bitterly acknowledging that the night had slipped away. but at least for heeseung, there was a sense of satisfaction in knowing he would have another chance to see her again. this wouldn’t be the last time they crossed paths. he’d make sure of that.
