I've been thinking about the Freeman Brothers a lot lately; Kit Freeman (Kid Eternity), Freddy Freeman (Captain Marvel Jr--he needs a new name), and Tim Karnes (SABBAC). Their lives and how they became separated are pretty tragic when you think about it.

Anyway.

I drew them (my redesigns!)

I plan to write about them eventually when this semester is done kicking my behind. (Tim Karnes, especially, is getting a full revamp and lore makeover).

why does sparing the life of the person you've spent years tracking down for revenge have to be about mercy and "not being just like them"? what about your mental health? what about your self-destructive quest for vengeance? your loved ones' concern for you? the consequences of staking your whole being on the life or death of someone you hate? your unhealthy personal investment in killing this one person? breaking the cycle of violence and/or fighting sunk cost fallacy? what if, after all that effort, you just don't feel like doing it anymore?

Tmnt idea

Never leave me with music. BUT! A what-if scenario.

SPOILERS FOR THE FANFIC "HIS WORLD" ON AO3. IF YOU HAVENT READ IT, SCROLL PAST!

What if the whole "mind-meld with your alternate selves" didn't go as smooth as it did in the story? What if, combining the memories and personalities of 3 different Leonardo's, to their core (soul), had a more adverse effect.

The state of their souls in "His World" is separated. They share memories and experiences, but their souls are not "combined". More like the yin yang symbol. Part of each other is in them, a small piece that compliments them, not combined with them. Their relationship is more "platonic soulmates" than "frankensteins' soul".

But that's the good scenario. What if their soul didn't happen like that?

What if Leon began to show more behavior and patterns from Future Leo and 2012 Leo. Being the youngest of the three, his soul is much more adaptable to new changes. It can take in those pieces and assimilate them into his soul. With taking in those pieces, comes with taking in their personalities and behaviors. At first, it isn't a big deal. They're very responsible leaders who have achieved a lot. Missions go smoother because of Leon's changes.

However, the more time went on, the more "Leon" became less of himself. Leon began to lose memories and and pieces of his identity. He stopped making jokes. He stopped goofing around with his brothers. He starts to act less as a teen, and more of an adult, unknowingly driving a gap between himself and his brothers.

He dotes on them, but ignores himself. He prioritizes training over having fun. He stops watching movies with them in order to go on patrol.

The failures hit harder. If something went wrong, even if the whole mission went smoothly, Leon will take it harder. There are no room for slip ups. Every small mistake is collected and built up, adding fuel to the wriggling mass of guilt and self-deprication that he isn't a good leader. Past and present melted together into a singular mess of "you failed failed failed failed!"

When the brothers noticed, there's not much of "Leon" left. Where could they even begin to unravel the mess that became of his soul? To remove the 3 pieces that are all "Leonardo" but have been so tightly intertwined that nobody could tell which one is their Leonardo.

making a book of my fic(s) and running your fingers across the pages while lovingly whispering my precioussss

doing these things with anything I create for fandom, such as meta, headcanons, au nonsense like 'texts from the brodinsons,' etc

I am not fine with "the audience"

doing any of the above with the purpose/intent of plagiarizing my work or passing it off as their own in any capacity

feeding my work into ai for any reason whatsoever

- i kinda like that she ended up looking like a mother-of-pearl inlay lacquerware!

- oh this was a subconscious choice, but Gale is sitting in seiza which is a posture for showing respect especially to elders. it's also known to be a painful position to sit in for extended periods of time, which is why it was sometimes used as a method of (morally dubious) punishment. however, experienced people can maintain this posture for much longer. food for thought :-)
