Athena Sims 4 Save File 3.0

Welcome to version 3.0 of my save file.

I now own every expansion pack, game pack, stuff pack & kits. So a warning if you don't also own it all, I would stick to version 2.0.

I have improved every house and updated every sims wardrobe. Made some improvements on some of the community lots as well.

In order to fill out some of the emptier worlds, you will now find some familiar faces from The Sims 3. Including: Wolff, Clavell, Funke, Bunch and The Single Moms.

Save file version 2.0 now includes families such as; Smith, Singles, Curious, Beaker, Greenman, Summerdream and Specter. It also includes the extended Broke, Monty and Capp families (true to the TS2 family trees).

Previous save.....

I brought back some of TS2′s favourite faces; The Monty’s, The Capps, The Broke and Oldie Family, The Burbs, The Langeraks, The Grunts  and The Alto’s.

I updated the current and lovable families from The Sims 4 and gave them a bit of depth. Most have parents (mostly deceased). Some have siblings, additional children, I’ve even added in missing Spouses.

Relationships are varied. The Pleasant sisters despise each other and are dating the Dreamer and Broke boys. The Fyres girls are step sisters (Siobhan’s mother is still around). Michael Bachelor has his eye on a Caliente sister. The Caliente sisters are in University (away from their over-protective Father).

I’m a terrible builder so 90% of the buildings are from the gallery.

I've spent what feels like a month trying to work through my legacy save glitches by deleting "other Sim households", deleting unused lots, turning off parts of the story progression settings, and using MCCC to clean up the worlds without removing everything.

Somewhere along the lines I've already broken the family trees populated in game, but it's fine because I've started to keep track off the game and on paper.

Lots won't load in Sulani even after I evict the households or I bulldoze the lot and replace the house. Lots won't load when the Sims want to travel to places in or outside of worlds.

There was a birth that was supposed to be triplets and the bassinet disappeared after I named all three babies -- and only one baby could be found so that was a major glitch and never happened to me at all in 10 years of Sims 4.

My save keeps jumping between 56mb to 33mb and then back up again. I also can't save I have to use "save as" otherwise I get an Error 0 notification. I also get another notification error that begins with 102 and has several numbers after it when I try to load lots/households. It then pushes me to the maps view.

So -- I really think it's time I move into a new save. After 3.5 years in this legacy save, there's just far too many glitches happening.

I've already saved houses owned by the Powhatans and I just need to go back in and save a few more households that are related to them either friendship wise or another or cousins/half cousins and then just start putting them all into a new save.

I use a mod that allows for family relationships, like it extends it far beyond what the game can do and I use it a lot for my Age of Sims save, so will just use that here to help get everyone connected who is a family member and so forth.

I don't think I'll delete the old file, but I'll retire it because it just is unplayable in many ways at this point.

@homewardial asked about my favorite topic - how I manage the Normal spares/extended family - so I thought I'd make a whole post because I have A LOT of thoughts after a 20+ generation legacy...

My number 1 spare rule is that I either have to choose them a partner or make them unable to have kids. People who have followed my blog for a while know that my Normal save has an Incest Problem. But honestly EA or MCCC has an Incest problem because I SWEAR if I don't control it the game will choose a not so distant cousin over a stranger

I don't do a rotational gameplay or anything but I do pop into the spares houses like once a sim week or so. For neighborhood stories setting I let them do anything but move out and adopt children. I don't allow adoption because I prefer seeing the genetics through the generations.

Usually I do also control how many children they have. What do I base this off of? literally the vibes of the corresponding generation. idk how to explain but basically sometimes it feels right for the family tree to look more huge and chaotic and sometimes it feels like it should be calmer LMAO

pleasantview reborn: the lotharios

i recently realised that i've hit round 4 in my pleasantview reborn save but never actually introduced any of the families... oops! time to remedy that... starting with the iconic lothario family at 165 sim lane!

i use @skittlessims' gc pleasantview sims, so a lot of my sims are going to look very different!

Idalia Lothario

The social norms imposed on the Lothario siblings from birth seem to have had no effect on Idalia, the eldest daughter of Pleasantview's most notorious power couple. While as artistic and refined as her mother, and as attractive as her father, she seems to have inherited a penchant for the criminal from some long-lost Goth ancestor.

Nadia Lothario

Shy and nature-loving, Nadia keeps carefully to the Goth tradition of mystery. She has few friends and prefers her mother's plants to parties.

Baxter (Cat)

Baxter’s quite a curious kitty, though not the smartest. His loyalty to his longtime owner, Cassandra Goth, is infamous in Pleasantview.

What's one relationship in your story (romantic, platonic, familial) that you'd like to show more of?

Hi!!! What a great question! I feel like there are so many lol

The first ones that come to mind are some of Bria's extended extended family. So from my gameplay, Bria's got a huge family tree and we see some of them in the story that she's stay close with, but there are a ton that she hasn't! After her mom dying, becoming a royal and moving to SimDonia, Bria lost touch with a lot of her family.

For example, this sim, Anita, who is so far back in the family line that I can't even tell how she is related to Bria lol. You can see some other family members of Bria in the background. Anyway, some used to be close, I know that Bria's mom attended Anita's wedding and I'm sure the paths have crossed even more! So, I would love to see how these relationships are now. Are some offended that Bria didn't keep touch? Do they think she's too good for them now? Or would they welcome her with open arms? Or are they selling stories about her to the magazines?? I feel like that would be fun to explore.

New town

So, you’ve probably been wondering, “What the heck has crazy samkat been doing sim-wise lately?” Or maybe not. But have no fear, I’m here to tell you! Due to unfortunate family matters - my ex-sister-in-law had to have a bilateral mastectomy with removal of adjoining lymph nodes right before Thanksgiving, and we’ve been helping her. Luckily her original Stage 4 diagnosis has been downgraded. She’ll still need radiation and chemo, but that original death sentence has been delayed. Once her new appointments are scheduled, I’ll be helping her get to her treatments, because if you’ve ever been through this with someone - and I have, for my late father - they can’t take themselves for appointments. It’s just too physically exhausting - not to mention the emotional drain. 

But enough of that. I didn’t get my Sims Christmas in Cape Garner, so I’ve moved on to other things. Lately I’ve been watching a lot of Chinese dramas - am so hooked!!! - and decided to make an Asian town. 100% American, with German, Danish, Greek, and Welsh background, but what the heck! So, I began the hunt for an Asian world, and sadly couldn’t really find much. I did play in that Mayumachi world for a bit, but the lots are all so frammin TINY!!! And I kept getting those annoying, “Your idiot sim is stuck again!” messages. So, I moved on. After trying several that I didn’t really like, I decided to use the old Banyan Bend world from the Sims Crossings and just make my own town. It’s not very authentic, but what the heck! This is the Sims after all.

Anyway, this is my new city hall - called Taiha Hall. It houses my police and political careers. Right now, it’s just an empty shell with the 2 rabbit hole rugs. And surprise, surprise! I built it myself. Based it on some pictures I saw, but otherwise it’s all me! Go, samkat! BTW, Banyan Bend was a remake of Twinbrook, so this is where the old city hall was. I also just used the original central park - just changed out some trees and added that carousel.

This lot is across the street from the business lot in the Twinbrook. (I left the business lot the way it was). Anyway, I think this one was created by Shady over on MTS. It was originally a Late-Night-type apartment build, but I converted it into a community lot. There’s an elixir store on the bottom level, then a tiny eatery, a phone store, and finally a small arcade. I call it Heyoka Elixirs and Potions. (Thanks to Sandy for your phone store items and those town posters!)

This lot replaces the one where the grocery and bookstore were. It’s called the Shuzhang Shopping Mall and has a grocery store, bookstore, small diner, and a dress shop. Thanks to @grandelama​! I use your Sims 1 and curbing items a lot! And @mspoodle1​! I use your bike cc in all my towns! 

This lot I showed up in a post ages ago, when I was redoing Banyan Bend. It was created by a lady over on youtube and is called the Chocolate house. It’s where the bistro used to be in Twinbrook.

Behind it, I placed this lot by Flora over on MTS. It’s called the Yanaka Print Store and is zoned as an Art Gallery. I extended that bluish build on the end, pretty much gutted everything inside, then replaced everything with all the art stuff - easels, sculpting and glass-blowing thingies and art pieces. I also redid the signage and added a lot more clutter on the outside.

Winterfest Was Incredible

I am not kidding when I say that the day was perfect. This is absolutely the best one I've ever seen, and it was just so beautiful and happy.

Winterfest is an extremely important holiday for my legacy family. It's all about family coming together, and celebrating the season. It is always so joyous, festive, and sweet. Here are the highlights Warning: I have a lot of pictures ;) truly a holiday to remember

It started in the livingroom, dancing to holiday music, and singing. I just love it when they're in sync, you can hear all their voices. The child, the grandparent, the lady. This is just the beginning

Family time. Being together and festive is essential.

Decorating the Christmas tree. It was wonderful to see it all come together. Yes, there was more singing!

Watching a holiday movie while Evelina prepares a grand meal. Winston's also getting some extra love.

Evelina looks so proud of her food. Grand meals are a lot of effort and nobody helped! Here she calls the family. Can you hear the bell?

Though my sims regularly sit and eat together, it doesn't make this moment any less special. It is to me absolute perfection. You may notice the lack of pajamas as Evelina, always proper, finally insisted on dressing right, and so the family followed.

The entire family was amazed. What an incredible meal!

The kids finally went to bed and things got really romantic. The perfect end to a perfect day.

This is truly one of the greatest things I've had occur in this game. It went off without a hitch, and all my sims had a spectacular day. I'm so happy that it went so well. I also did some things differently like having no extended family since two parents and three kids was enough.

I really don't think this would be possible without the two mods that help alleviate simulation lag. "Simulation Lag Fix" and "Simulation Unclogger" were definitely working overtime for the grand meal, and the singing. So if you want perfect holidays like this, get them!

Some Historical Sims/Extended Family

Some sims from my extended family tree! Some have a story, others are just pretty sims I wanted to share before they live out the rest of their sim life in my library.

Names, titles, short descriptions, etc. under the cut

King Emmitt I - Born in 1651, he was the son of King Enric and his mistress. As an illegitimate child, Emmitt was not initially recognized in the line of succession. With all of Enric's legitimate heirs meeting mysterious or untimely deaths, Enric changed the law to allow Emmitt and any future illegitimate children of the monarch to be recognized in the line of succession. King Emmitt went on to be one of the most beloved kings in Trenton history.

Lady Tessa Ingebretson, nee Gravatt - Born in 1895, she was the first wife of Lord Elliot Ingebretson (great-grandfather to Everly and Kiana). The two were a love match and had twin daughters Rose and Iris, neither with lavender eyes. She was pressured by her father in law to bear a lavender eyed child but was unable to conceive. Tessa died when the twins were four years old, due to an unknown illness.

Lady Margarete Ingebretson, nee Van Cleave, the Countess of Benton - Born 1897, she was the second wife of Lord Elliot Ingebretson. Margarete's marriage to Elliot was promised to her from a young age and she was enraged when he married another. Her eventual marriage to Elliot was arranged through Elliot's father. She bore him a lavender eyed son. Margarete was said to be one of the leaders in the plot to assassinate the royal family (mentioned here).

Lady Samantha Humphrey, nee Bartram, the Marchioness of York - Born 1890, the granddaughter of King Evander and cousin to Queen Emelina. Took on an active role in the royal family to help out Emelina after the death of most of her family.

Lord Bradley Humphrey - Born 1914, the second son of Lady Samantha Humphrey.

Lord Arthur Carmichael, Duke of Ruchester - Born 1963, the cousin of Queen Gabriela.

Lady Jayda Carmichael - Born 1994, daughter of Arthur Carmichael. Future Duchess of Ruchester. Has twin boys around the same age as Emmett and Payton.

Lady Sheila Carmichael - Born 1998, cousin of Jayda

Lady Tara Carmichael - Born 2002, sister of Sheila. Aspiring fashion designer, works for one of the fashion houses that designs gowns and dresses for the royal families across the siminent.

Ascendant Legacy Challenge  - NEW ZODIAC LEGACY CHALLENGE FOR YOU TO BE CHALLENGED BY AND HAVE FUN STORY TELLING

My Gen 1 (Virgo Rising) - The road so far...

I am currently on Gen 2 (Libra Rising) of my astrology-based legacy challenge and since I am a Pisces moon in the 5th house and Aquarius in the 4th, I am a sucker for nostalgia, aesthetic collages and posting a million gameplay photos.

Take a walk down memory lane with me... buckle up and maybe get some tissues.

Some of these sims are from my first ever save file in the sims 4 from 2020 and after they pass I wont be bringing them back (I’m not crying..) so this is a much needed montage of the family tree.

Aspen and Alex met on a dating app while they were both still in university and hit it off. They moved to their tiny house in Strangerville, having taken out a huge loan and barely able to cover their bills, but it was better than the dirty apartment Aspen was in and the Sigma Omega Tau frat house... 

Aspen followed her dreams of becoming a scientist and finding alien life while Alex joined a charity supporting under-privileged sims and being a part-time stay at home dad. 

Garcia-Mahoe family with matriarch Dani and her two older boys Alex and Rafael, her eldest girl Maria. Jason married into the family ad became the kids’ father they never had when the boys were teenagers. He raised them to be caring and respectful and to always pursue their dreams. All three kids went to university and meanwhile Dani and Jason had two surprise additions to the family, Levi and Ryan.

Rafael met Shayna who is Aspen’s coworker and they have 3 boys. Trevon and Emilio are great friends. Shayna and Aspen became best friends from being extended family - the Garcias have a way of bringing everyone together.

We can’t forget about the side characters! They make the story and have affected the Zodics in their story so far. 

The most important of all is RRanger, Aspen’s loyal service doggo who helped her navigate the world with her disability. Being partially deaf was never easy, but RRanger always made it better. He’s in the doggie park in the sky now getting lots of treats and head scratches 

Of course we can’t forget about Echo and the two (not so small) puppers, Mercury and Artemis. 

The best-friends really make the game. Harper and Shayna as in and out of work besties and Bellamy, Aspen’s great childhood friend. Alex made great friends too in Micah, Martha, and an unexpected friend for both in Destinee when she used their recycler that one time and checked in on their family ever since.

Gen 2 with Ashton, Eila and Emilio has started with Ash as my heir (Libra Rising). A new chapter and more gameplay to come

Almost all of the adult aged sims are elders now or have died. I am actually sad-happy putting this together. I hope you enjoyed!

okay, lets go through it but under the cut bc ill probably be long winded lmaooo

We’ll start with Veronica’s side as it’s much smaller, I haven’t played them as much (and probably won’t now as the legacy now has the story progression mod so I don’t actually have to keep up with them), and we saw most of it through her teen years.

It all starts with Corey, the teenage witch, who was my catalyst as I often played in downtown when I first got Sims 2 Deluxe as a kid and ran into the Tricou ghost teens when I cheated my way into the House of Fallen Trees. The Tricou family always lived in my head since then and when I did further research on Jon Smith, I found the teens of downtown, and sparked the idea of the legacy. Obviously, Corey/Orion being the gothic teen boy in a dark trenchcoat, I had to use him to ressurect the family and reunite them. In the story, Corey ran away not to long after being adopted as he had spent years researching his real father and being the eldest of all his half siblings, he felt more “independent.” In actuality, he didn’t even know the spell to summon a spectral cat so he just adopted one. As for why the Downtown is in Strangetown... come on. I had the idea of a warlock teen reviving his vampire family, it fit perfectly into it. 

I haven’t done much with the Tricou’s themselves, just giving their house a remodel and them all a makeover. But who knows... maybe future generations will get to know their maternal extended family 🤭

But now let’s talk to what the Curious side has been up to...

Starting with daddy Vidcund, he actually had two children. You may have spotted Celeste in the back of some shots with Leo. You might actually notice too they look similar! Vidcund got lucky and got the same PT, so they are full siblings. Leo very much does like his sister and often has her over now to catch up now that she is in college. Of course though, he still calls dear old dad to catch him up on the grandkids so he doesn’t feel so alone in his observatory.

Going down the line of guests at the party, Lazlo did get married to Crystal, in a full Vegas Style wedding (if you don’t know, my downtown is based on Vegas, hence my banner image on mobile.) Honestly, I didn’t do much with them after they got married but they do live downtown just chillin’.

His other uncles though I put a bit more time into. Obviously, Tycho went with them too and eventually, they adopted one child together, Halley. Tycho and Leo are very good friends though being very close in age and growing up a good part together. Also with Tycho, I took the fire powers it said Jill has and gave it too him, which is why his hair is dyed the way it is.

Speaking of Jill, the Smiths are a bit more interesting. After Johnny went to college and Jenny aged up, life went back to peace for them. Jill aged up soon after and started seeing Buck more. Then one day, I decided to read the bio for PT9 and it said "When he is not spending time with his children, he enjoys clipping coupons and staring up at the sky." I decided since he was getting up in age, I would send him to look at the stars while everyone else in the house rested... THEN SUDDENLY TIME STARTED FAST FORWARDING AND I WAS LIKE WUT I STILL HAVE A SIM AWAKE AND GO AND CHECK PT TO FIND A SMOKING SATELITE. Poor PT never got to meet his grandkids or anything and it took me a while to get Jenny out of the red aspiration level. It took adopting a kitten that I named Petey in memory of him. Buck was bullied at the Grunt home until he ran away but I welcomed him into the Smith home and once him and Jill aged up, they had Jackie, then eventually twins Joel and Jolene.

Finally, in the last row, we have one of the biggest families I’ve ever played all by myself, the Smith-Nigmos-Grunt-Hogan’s.... I sent Ripp, Johnny, and Ophelia to college together fully intending them just to be a tri-polycule then met Tamara Hogan and made this full family. Together each couple has one child, Oliver Nigmos-Smith, Teddie Nigmos-Grunt, Xandra Hogan-Grunt, and Oryan Hogan-Smith. I spent a lot of time with this family and honestly had so much fun but they’re so much and I’m glad story progression mod will handle where they go now ❤

Honestly I could go on more about the various other families but I’m very tired so TL;DR, Buzz Grunt got fired due to chance card and Tank ended up dying due to a cold he got from work, leaving his military wife behind. And the Beakers, Circe girlbossed to close to the sun and got Mysterious Disease on the Biotech table and died in quarantine. Oh yeah, and Kristen Loste was taken to be their new test subject after Nervous escaped and then got eaten by the Cowplant only to be revived by Loki as a zombie and now she works as a DJ. OH YEAH AND THE TWINS DO EXIST.

I have since purchased Cottage Living, Strangerville, Cool Kitchen & Moschino Stuff packs.

Save file version 2.0 now includes families such as; Smith, Singles, Curious, Beaker, Greenman, Summerdream and Specter. It also includes the extended Broke, Monty and Capp families (true to the TS2 family trees).

All the families have a previous generation, now deceased. I have included more pets and clubs. Some community lots have been updated to include the new packs. A Wedding Venue lot is also available in Brindleton Bay.

I brought back some of TS2′s favourite faces; The Monty’s, The Capps, The Broke and Oldie Family, The Burbs, The Langeraks, The Grunts  and The Alto’s.

I updated the current and lovable families from The Sims 4 and gave them a bit of depth. Most have parents (mostly deceased). Some have siblings, additional children, I’ve even added in missing Spouses.

Relationships are varied. The Pleasant sisters despise each other and are dating the Dreamer and Broke boys. The Fyres girls are step sisters (Siobhan’s mother is still around). Michael Bachelor has his eye on a Caliente sister. The Caliente sisters are in University (away from their over-protective Father).

I’m a terrible builder so 90% of the buildings are from the gallery.

Back to the marketplace. The good news is, it does just seem to be a problem with the neighbourhood textures, which is a problem for future me.

Marks family, Roaring Heights

As the only living heir to the Marks’ wealth and estates, the pressure solely rests on Grumpo’s shoulders, which means it’s time to grow up and act his age to take care of his family’s assets. Will he finally put himself together, especially now that he has a wife and three children?

Grumpo Marks, who is the only remaining Marks in town and heir to the Marks’ wealth and assets, resides at the Marks family’s large riverside mansion called The Stage at 39 Palm Tree Avenue, Roaring Heights, together with his own family - wife Janet Torrance-Marks, twins Liliana and Vito, and newly-born son James.

The Marks brothers were considered comedians by the whole town: five brothers who are all adults but act like they’re children. Childish and too playful for their own ages, and can’t be taken seriously. But that all changed when the brothers started “disbanding.” The Marks Brothers are no more.

Glummo, Dyno, and Sneako, the second, third and fourth Marks brothers, all moved out of town, with only the eldest Sharpo, a warlock, and youngest Grumpo, a fairy, left in Roaring Heights. Those three brothers wanted to find themselves, be on their own, and travel the world without the whole band. It’s unlikely that they’ll come back to this small town.

Being the two brothers left, they decided to move out of their large home and live new lives in a new environment. The mansion became too large for them both. They ended up being roommates with a then newly moved-in Lindsey O’Keefe (now Lindsey Hooper), a fairy like Grumpo, before she settled with Leon Hooper, a man from a wealthy family in the American South. Being singles in a household was so much fun, the brothers thought. They have no responsibilities to others but themselves, and was living their bachelor lives to the fullest. But their lifestyles cost money, so they decided to enter the Sports career. Since both of them are so active and playful, they thought they’d enjoy work, and it wouldn’t feel like work.

But this didn’t last forever. Sharpo was getting really old, and not the same as Grumpo who is immortal (almost). Sharpo’s youth is fading, while Grumpo has all the time in the world. He couldn’t find anything that will extend his lifespan and be with his brother for a little while longer. Sharpo decided to move back to their family home. If he would die soon, he wanted to be in their own home. Suddenly the house was not too large for them anymore, it’s just right. It feels like true home.

Grumpo pretty much continued his bachelor lifestyle, while also looking after his aging brother. He felt a sense of relief when the time came that Sharpo started being so happy and content with his remaining life, with help from Sharpo’s younger boyfriend, Giuseppe Capulet, the eldest son of Alessandro Capulet. They were so happy. Months after, Sharpo passed away a happy man who lived a full, happy life.

Grumpo was all alone, the thoughts of Sharpo and traces of him around the home clung freshly on his mind. The childish, playful, happy-go-lucky side of him went away with his brother in the grave. Grief didn’t leave him for a long time. Swimming in cash won’t help either.

Then he met Janet Torrance, who was also recently widowed by Duncan Carrington, a local singer. They got along really well. They both shared the grief of losing a loved one. Started seeing each other often, but he didn’t know what to think about her teen son, Emmanuel. To him, it felt like he doesn’t like him that much. He’s a weird kid, he thought. He did not become close friends with him.

The old Grumpo was starting to come back, the playful, active, childish, and sometimes grouchy lad. He became so happy again, especially around Janet. Not long after, they had twins, Liliana and Vito. But since they were not yet married then, and Emmanuel was still a teen who couldn’t be left living alone, and couldn’t be convinced to move in to Grumpo’s house, they remained in their own home until Emmanuel graduated high school and is now a young adult. The twins were so ecstatic to live in a large mansion, compared to their small home. They now have their own bedrooms and a playroom, and happy that they will get to know their father more.

Liliana is a couch potato and a genius, while her twin brother Vito loves the outdoors, loves fishing, and a natural virtuoso. Vito is the most active and playful among the twins, while Liliana enjoys quiet time by reading a book or playing chess, but most of the time she just watches television in their living room. The whole family loves hanging out on the weekend, especially at the beach. Children loves playing in the ocean.

A few weeks after moving in, Janet and Grumpo had another baby, and they named him James. After having James, Grumpo finally had the courage to propose marriage to Janet, which she was waiting for a long time. He vowed that he will be committed to her and their children for as long as he lives, and will be a mature husband and father to them. But sometimes he couldn’t help playing with his kids’ toys in the playroom. Some of their neighbors say that his children act more adult than him. Janet doesn’t forget to remind him to act more like his age, while she’s busy writing books and organizing protests at the city hall. Especially at this time, when Grumpo is the only heir to all his family’s wealth and assets, and it’s his duty to manage and take care of them.
