Support women's rights to look dead!#I have been waiting for this scene for ages...the ghost girl entourage is such a good look for WWX.#And by gods does the audio drama actually do something interesting with one of them.#Namely that we actually get to see WWX talk with them and learn about who they were and what they left behind.#I love necromancer characters but it's way too common for them to be like “Go! Ghost no.145!” like they're a pokemon #and not...you know...someone who had a whole life that they left behind.#I love me a necromancer who has an awareness to whose soul/body they are using. It adds a lot of flavour!#MDZS is a little hit or miss with this. I think the fans do a lot of the work with making Mo Xuanyu a bigger character.#Yi City has this in spades. Even though we don't individually get character backstories #We get many painful reminders about how these 'corpses' were people.#We also get a few lines about how WWX used whatever corpses he could get his hands on (including grandparents - Woof!)#MDZS often (but not always) likes to remind us that every sacrifice and every ghost was a person.#It is so close to nailing the landing regarding the deconstruction of the necromancer character.#Anyhow. You may have noticed the uptick in quality in the last two comics. Rule of three means next one is going to be a treat B*)#See you all very soon!

Okay so I got some more idea figured out about my lil dude!

Basically they were raised to become a professional assassin and grew up learning how to kill and eliminate a target from the moment they were able to stand on their stubby lil legs.

They grew confident in their abilities quite quickly and never once doubt the things they got teached. Some started calling them a freak or cold hearted with the lack of hesitance to end someone's life but they never really cared about what other thought.

The only things important to them are the opinions of their teachers and therefore molding them to the liking of them was never a big problem, even if they sometimes tended to dance out of line if not being in total "work mode", but nothing a harsh scolding wouldn't fix.

Due to their ability to move smaller objects with their mind, the bow became their preferred weapon. Silence in it's use and easy to manipulate with their mystics. Additionally they are using their poisonous saliva to spike the heads of his arrows to play it safe, should it happen that they aren´t killing their target first try. It is not deadly in small doses but at least immobilizes the victims enough to finish the job.

This whole thing turned into so much more… I should have made a proper ref sheet looking at all this lore I wrote down… But I still haven't figured out details about his appearance yet... I'm just doodling him being silly~

Welp, annywizzle, now it´s written down anyways so who cares~

I additionally decided spontaneously to give Udon he/they pronounce! They prefers they/them but is used by everone else around them to be seen as he :)

#Mouthwashing #blood #body horror #Emphasizing here that this is in reference to a media and character and not a cry for help on my end.#Mouthwashing is one of those games that tickles my brain and checks all the boxes for my niche interests -#-but it wasn't something that got the silly comic part in my cortex firing up. My analysis brain is eating well though!#What said...It is impossible for me to see this scene and not say out loud: “Me in the middle of my work day".#While there is a lot more going on with curly I personally resonated a lot with his struggles with burnout.#Burnout feels like mouthwash to me. That you keep rinsing out your mouth trying to get rid of the rotting smell #but it's just surface level solutions. The real cure requires something far more significant to actually make a difference.#The job 'is hard' and 'everyone struggles'. It's part of the process right? You're tired? Anxious? Depressed? Us too! Chin up!#Actually I resonated with a lot of things within Curly (this is a curly positive space - he's not perfect. He's just human).#One thing being his desire to see the good in people and believe in their potential.#Because here's the thing. Some people truly do just need someone in their corner who stands by them so they can grow and improve.#And some people will take advantage of your kindness. You focus so much on their humanity while you stop being a person to them.#The horrifically toxic relationship persists because Curly tries to see the bigger picture and believes in the good within.#Anyone who has lived through constantly trying to reframe the hurt as something else knows-#-just how many excuses your brain will make to avoid cognitive dissonance. It's human psychology.#Jimmy sucks so bad. But we the audience have the privilege of not having years of baggage associating him in our minds as 'friend'.
