"Listen, you just have to promise me you aren't going to try and send me to an insane hospital." Steve had started off, if only because he knew how crazy he was about to sound. Crazy enough that it could possibly end their relationship, if Richie had thought that the younger was absolutely delusional and needed some help. He knew that he wouldn't have believed it all either, if he hadn't come face to face with a Demogorgon himself that first time.

"There's definitely a lot, and I don't even know all of it myself, so I'll try to give you the uh....cliff notes version or whatever." How far back did he go? How much did he explain to Richie, and what all was actually relevant? He felt like if he were to genuinely go on about the things that had been happening in Hawkins, it would take days. Maybe even a four season television series. He bit his lip, eyebrows scrunched in thought as he tried to process.

"So, everything started when this kid named Will went missing. Only he didn't go missing. They found his body and everyone was convinced he was dead, but he ended up coming back. That's when we found out about this other...dimension? I still don't really know what it is. If it's another dimension, or another time, or what. Either way, it's this creepy world that gets accessed by gates. And apparently, almost all of those gates are in Hawkins."

He paused, because really, he didn't know if that was true. If other places in the world were experiencing this. He knew the government was highly invested in Hawkins, and apparently so was Russia, but. "It's still kind of confusing how they came to be. Hawkins has a laboratory, but it's abandoned now. We know those scientists were messing around with the gates. As well as experimenting on children." He waved a hand in the air.

"Blah blah, I also know the Russian government was trying to get its power from all of that. But fast forward to now, found out that it's basically ruled by this guy named Vecna. Or like, monster creature thing. Who was originally a guy? Don't quite get it. But Vecna, he's like, the king of the Upside Down. And his army is full of all these really gross slimy monster things that seem to get worse with each year." As if Demogorgons weren't bad enough, the Mind Flayer had one upped all of them, and then the swarms of bats, and then -

"So this Vecna guy. He can like, control people's minds or something using their trauma. Puts them in a trance and kills them. He needed a certain amount of souls to try and end the world. We tried to kill him, but then the earthquake still happened that split our worlds so I don't really think we succeeded. And that's where we're at now." Pausing, brown eyes looking at Richie. "Uh....any questions?"

arlecchino is a sucker for crying. doesn't matter if you cry easily or not– either she sees it as a challenge to make you cry in the first place or to see how much you can cry before you have to tap out. her absolute favorite way to make you cry is straight up overstimulating (or understimulating you, depending on her mood) until you're practically sobbing. if you cry prettily enough maybe she'll take pity on you.

arlecchino has a pyro vision and she is absolutely going to use it. especially prominent if you're both in snezhnaya– it provides prime opportunities for her to slip her hands under your clothes when you least expect it just to see you squirm beneath her hands. she'd never actually do anything too scandalous in public, but if you're a bit more hidden away she'll have no qualms playing with your chest. if you complain about the cold you're just giving her an excuse to "warm you up" and see you tremble like a lamb.

First of all, Tommy kissed BUCK, so jot that down. Tommy was the initiator here.

Second of all, Buck obviously had no clue he could feel attracted to men UNTIL Tommy kissed him (as evidenced by his claim in 7x01), so how on earth was he supposed to realize he's into Eddie 2.5 seconds after kissing a man for the first time?

Third of all, kissing Tommy gives Buck a digestible target to place all of his Big Bisexual Boyfeelings for Eddie. Not recognizing what his feelings are DOES NOT EQUAL him not having feelings at all. As evidenced by this episode and every episode since 2x01, Buck has romantic feelings for Eddie but BOTH of them have been living this heteronormative lie that they can ONLY be best friends. Up until now, Buck FIRMLY believed he could only ever be Eddie's friend because Eddie's a guy and they're both hetero, but now that's not true.

Let Buck have a MINUTE to process his feelings for christ's sake.

I need y'all to start treating this season as if it was Buddie in the very very beginning stages. Because it is. Obviously, Fox was not letting it happen and ABC is only just now giving them the green light to let it happen. They don't want to jump the gun and trust me we will ALL be thankful they took their sweet time in the end.

Get used to things taking a while and learn some patience. Some of us have been waiting for an episode like this for seven years. This arc is only just starting and we just got greenlit for season 8. Let the show unveil the story at its own pace, and don't stress needlessly.
