Ok so after watching all of Jimmy’s 3rd life POV I’ve come to the conclusion that Flower Husbands is NOT toxic. I understand that Scott punches Jimmy sometimes during the season but I rlly don’t feel like it’s abusive?? Like they’re both looking out for eachother (the only time Scott hits Jimmy in 3rd life is bc he’s trying to get him to be reasonable or to not start anything)?? They both want to be together?? They both love eachother a lot?? Scott’s ending was LITERALLY him being with Jimmy and living a domestic life in their little flower field hobbit place?? In TWO different SMP’s he dies and dreams of a domestic life with his husband?? Jimmy was the one that gave Scott that poppy in the first place?? Guys?? They’re in love???
AND even if they were toxic in anyway why are we angry Abt it?? This fandom LOVES scarian and I thought there whole thing was being the token toxic yaoi couple??? GUYS??? Why are you ok with scarian and not flower husbands??? Even tho scarian’s whole thing in this fandom seems to be the toxicity for the most part?? Hello???
(Btw this isn’t hate on scarian or anything I’m just kind of confused as to how the fandom rlly got to this conclusion and I hatee the idea that a lot of ppl believe they’re toxic bc rlly they’re not and it angers me smm and I KNOWWW it’s just silly Minecraft block ppl but they’re MY silly Minecraft block ppl and will NOT allow ppl to dirty their name!1!1! /hj)
Erm anyway sorry for disturbing you guys flower husbands just low-key altered my brain chemistry. They were literally my first ever ship (I found them from ESMP S1) and I was insane Abt them for soo long and I’m insane Abt them still and god I miss them, Scott and Jimmy I’m on my knees BEGGING for you to bring them back. Properly. PLEASEE 🙏🙏 /nf
so about the hitting part, hitting has a different connotation in minecraft than it does in real life. In minecraft, its often used to get someones attention (like tapping a shoulder) or to stop them from doing something (like a physical restraint) so it feels weird to say that all hitting done in minecraft is bad. There are different reasons one player would hit another, it depends on context.

I desperately miss flower husbands
Like genuinely, I want them back.
I get it, ranchers is funky (/pos) and wholesome and all
But I kind of hate the fact that pol just like... left flower husbands completely and now ppl call it toxic.
Ik there are still flower husbands shippers out there, obviously, but like... yk what I mean?
And I've seen someone say before in refute to the whole "guys it's a block game, it's rily not toxic to hit someone in a BLOCK GAME" saying that: "yeah, it's a block game, so why did u call them husbands?"
DID YA'LL FORGET THAT SCOTT STARTED IT?? DID YA'LL FORGET THAT SCOTT STARTED THE
"husband" PART OF IT?? HAD SCOTT NOT SAID
"nope, we're married now" (or whatever he said idk I'm dying rn yextkctixitxt) WHEN JIMMY GAVE HIM THE POPPY WE PROB WOULDNT HAVE CALLED THEM FLOWER HUSBANDS. HAD SCOTT NOT LITERALLY SCREAMED "NOO MY HUSBAND!" WHEN JIMMY DIES FOR THE SECOND TIME, DO U THINK WE WOULD HAVE CALLED THEM HUSBANDS??? DO U??? WE PROBABLY WOULD HAVE CALLED THEM LIKE FLOWER BOYFRIENDS OR SMTH
PLEASERE PEOPLE STOP CALLING THEM TOXIC I SWEAR TO GOD THEY'RE NOT.
LIKE HAVE YOU SEEN EMPIRES SEASON 1????
HAVE YOU SEEN IT??? THEY'RE SO VGTIDTIERSTIDKDKTDKTDOY

So multiple things inspired me to write this little angsty Flower Husbands drabble: their interactions in this season, the scene on bread bridge in Limited Life (and how Jimmy seems to be okay to ask Scott for lives as if they're nothing,) and also in general how I am noticing how their dynamic is more antagonistic and violent now (similarly how Joel and Scott are usually.)
Also, Jimmy not knowing who was Scott's soulmate when he was doing the Life Series quiz made me think that it would be cool to include here!
(if you know my last Scott post you'll probably understand why this thing exists- PGFJGHF.)
-----
A Deal with heartbreak
Session 6 started with a bang, multiple people dying because of the sudden appearance of the wildcard from today, Jimmy being one of them, making him be a red life now.
Scott walks near the cherry wood stairs of the Bamboozlers and looks around to check on them to see if they found out something new about the wildcard.
“Hello? Anyone here?” Scott calls out until he notices Jimmy coming down the mountain. He seems to be wearing the clothes he did last session, but this time they’re different colors.
Jimmy waves at Scott and approaches him rapidly.
“Hey.”
“Hey!” Scott smiles warmly. Sure, Jimmy is red but he wouldn’t attack him out of the blue, even though last sessions he kind of did, but Scott hopes he won’t now.
“Dude this wildcard is crazy! I can’t believe I died so quickly! I mean, at least I wasn’t the only one.”
“You have to be more careful Jimmy, Mumbo died last session so you might follow him…”
Jimmy sighs and crosses his arms shaking his head.
“Yeah, you’re still a green man, I don't know how you do it!” As Jimmy says that he gets an idea.
Scott shrugs at that. He just goes under people’s radars, though he is also good at the games, but better than Gem and Joel? Probably not.
“Scott man, I really need a life… Now that I am red is more urgent than yesterday! Please can I kill you?” Jimmy puts his two hands together and tries to make the best puppy eyes.
Scott chuckles at his request, and for a moment he considers it.
“Uhm, sorry Jimmy, I really don’t want to lose a life now. I gave one to Pearl yesterday so-” He gets interrupted as Jimmy gets closer to Scott, making him visibly more nervous.
“Oh! You gave her a life so she wouldn’t be red right? This is the same situation! Please man!”
“But that’s different Jimmy! She’s my teammate and I also promised her that if she turns red she could kill me!”
With that said Scott thinks this is over but he then sees how Jimmy is suddenly holding a sword.
“How is that different? What about me asking you yesterday? Also! Our teams are kind of allies right? Don’t you think it’s a good idea to help your ally?” Jimmy waves his sword around, making Scott be very vigilant of the situation he’s in.
“I understand that, but Pearl, Impulse and Cleo are the first people I allied with this season! Of course I am going to prioritize them! Plus if we’re like this then Pearl was my soulmate a couple of seasons back so!” Scott says that without thinking, realizing suddenly why this moment seemed familiar.
He, for a moment sees a black leather jacket and a long bridge extending on both of their sides.
Jimmy furrows his eyebrows in confusion and anger saying: “What? Okay and? Also your soulmate wasn’t it Cleo?”
Scott finds himself dumbfounded. He steps back and sees Jimmy closing the distance, and as he does that Jimmy accidentally steps on a poppy when he swings his sword at Scott.
In that moment, something in Scott gets broken. His stomach feels like it's turning and his hands buckle into fists. A sword appears into Scott’s hand and he swings it to block the blow; he then redirects his sword near Jimmy’s neck.
“I’ll give you 30 seconds Jimmy, to get out of my sight before I kill you for good.” Scott looks coldly at Jimmy, his eyes beginning to glow, but not only that, multiple more seem to appear and open on his neck and arm, glowing alike.
Jimmy’s sword disappears into his inventory and he huffs as he turns around and walks up the stairs of his team’s mountain.
Scott’s hands tremble. He sighs, and writes a mental note to not visit the Bamboozlers anymore.
-----
So I thought Jimmy was yellow at the end of session 5- checked, and he is red, but well this is a silly drabble anyways!
I had to make a reference to Deal with Destiny in the title okay? Was it obvious? Was it not?
Hope you liked it! ^^

The thing about Evo Jimmy that makes me happy is that he’s so much more of a menace and messes around with people!! Sure everytime he does it he loses or something goes wrong but he’s not afraid to do it and doesn’t even think of the consequences!! He only acts civil is when Martyn’s there and if he’s not, no one is safe.
Netty and Jimmy’s friendship is also really sweet because she likes to join in on his mischief and follows him without hesitation, same goes with Jimmy. They both share half a brain cell and they couldn’t care less!! I also love the fact that they both had the most episodes on Evo, they quite literally ran Evo together. Even if they weren’t that lore based or whatever,it was still there and Jimmy’s listener lore needs to more appreciated!!! I wish Evo went on longer so I could’ve seen what would’ve happened. Jimmy also out right hated the watchers and didn’t care at all what they said. After the Listeners gave him his little mission he realised it immediately that the watchers weren’t good people. I also love how Jimmy makes small hints of the watchers but never outright says it,or he mentions them and just brushes past it.
To sum it up: I want Jimmy’s mischievous ways back. I miss him being a little asshole and messing with people
I wholeheartedly agree that I wish Jimmy was mischievous more often like he used to be even if he would often get punished for it, although I do think we've been seeing a bit more of that in places, and I also very much miss Netty and her and Jimmy's banter. I don't think Jimmy was that much of a menace though, rather he just sassed people back, especially those who he felt had done wrong by him, but his entire shtick in Evo was to be a cop and he did very genuinely try to be one, setting out to prove himself to be good rather than a troublemaker when Martyn wasn't around; to prove to Martyn that he was good. Eg when he helped mine resources for Netty's library, gave every piece of it to Netty, surprising her, and then said something like "did you get a picture?". But that might be the culprit, that he was overly punished for any mishaps and quips to the point that he wanted to prove his potential and capability till the end of Evo and started feeling progressively more culpable over the course of future SMPs
This is a trend in most of Jimmy's playthroughs where he just gets caught in other people's crossfire and painted as bad rather than doing anything actually worth punishing himself. I like when he has the assertiveness to get back at people, to turn pranks back around like he did in Legacy and for some of X Life, to hold Martyn accountable in Evo rather than always taking the blame himself, to almost beat Sausage to death in SOS after everything Sausage had said and put him through, when he rejected Scott's poppy in RL and proclaimed that Scott wasn't forgiven for getting him killed. I wish he'd gotten back at people in ESMP2 calling him a toy the same way he did at the Mafia in Evo which continuously villainized him. I like when he's sassy, I like when he gets back at people, I like when he stands his ground, I like when he does pranks, I like when he doesn't let himself be shot down, especially when trying to take charge (another trend, where he keeps trying to take charge as he sees necessary in relationships and otherwise, only to be knocked down 500 pegs). I like when banter involves him rather than just being aimed at him. But I genuinely don't think he's ever been a proper asshole, he deserves to stab and kill and I wish he did but he's only done so when he believes to have been wronged, or he'd stop himself and often apologize or feel guilty etc. I wrote a long post on my thoughts on Evo awhile back where I went more in debth
Don't have much to say about the Listener stuff, the time that Jimmy spent without Martyn at the end is important to his character imo but the end of Evo just kinda lost me in general, any kind of watcher/listener lore passes me by unfortunately but if other people enjoyed that whole bit then more power to them absolutely

I am hyperfixacting on flower husbands (dont mind the misspells) Starting off with 3rd life, they try to have that domestic life in a death game, and at first it works fine, even when Jimmy hits red, but when the war happened, I think both of them knew that Jimmy would die that, but even then, they still had hope. But he did die, the canary curse is born, and Scott goes on a grief ridden rampage basically and ends up dying as well, where they are reunited in what seems to be Scott's afterlife. In empires, they don't exactly start on the best foot basically, but they grow to love each other, even between the issues with Xornoth, Joey, Sausage, Fwip, all of that, then, Jimmy goes to Fwip to try to get his cod head back, and well it doesn't go well, and Xornoth is free again, and to make sure he doesn't do any more damage, Scott takes his life to stop him because if one dies so does the other, and we are brought back to Scott's afterlife once more, where he and Jimmy are together, where nothing bad happened and it's okay. Last life there wasn't much there other than Scott giving Jimmy a poppy and the two when boogey's they didn't kill each other. same with Double life, while they weren't soulbound, they both had ranches. Limited life though, there is a bit more, Scott saying I love you to Jimmy and Jimmy never responding, I think that is because he remembers what happened in 3rd life and he doesn't want to give Scott something to latch onto, something that will be the first out and ruin his chances of life. And even while Jimmy hunted Scott down, he still offered his time to him. Empires two, I am a full supporter of the centuries au where Jimmy is from the original empires and such, so he is just watching this man who looks and sort of acts like the one he used to love from distance, knowing that he can't fall in love with him again because it'll just hurt them both.
In witchcraft, while Jimmy wasn't Milo, a lot of people just pretend he was, and the idea of Scott losing Jimmy again but this time having magic to try to bring him back is just so, and it works, he won the thing and to bring back his lover, Scott gave up his magic, and he was perfectly okay with that if it meant having Jimmy back. They are doomed from the start because Scott is a survivor and Jimmy is the canary, a match that would never end well but in some way or another they love each other, even from a distance.
Also the only time that they are truly happy together is in the afterlife

Stand by my grave and try to weep
I short piece about grief and guilt from the perspective of Scott during 3rd life at the end of episode 7
Scott stood by a grave and wished the events of the last few days hadn’t transpired the way they did.
A battle in the desert. An expert shot from Skizz. A dead husband. The aftermath. Skizz striking once again. A dead friend–
It was a small grave, in retrospect.
It was fitting –Grian had remarked when he saw the size of the grave– since “Timmy had left a small impact on the world.”
Scott knew he should’ve disagreed, but he couldn’t think of an example to disprove it at the time, so he had laughed along in agreement.
He stared at the grave some more. It looked like a picture perfect grave; The stone was perfectly symmetrical, the dirt in front was not too flat–not too messy, the stone was clean as can be. Everything was how a grave was supposed to look; if you asked someone to think of a grave, this grave would be what they’d imagine.
Scott sighed, he supposed he was a widow now. He had followed the correct steps in order for the widows alliance to be formed.
But then his fellow widow-to-be had to go and die before her husband, leaving Bdubs to be the widow instead of her.
So now Scott was completely alone.
Just him and his husband’s perfect grave.
This was the part where he should reminisce about the good times he and Jimmy shared.
Like their first meeting! Or foiling Tango’s cow operation! Or- or…
Scott felt a wave of terror wash over him. Were those two really all the good moments he could come up with off the top of his head?
He forced himself to take a deep breath.
No, no. He’s grieving, he’ll remember the rest of the good moments later.
Cleo would’ve told him it was okay; probably something about how both their husbands’s incompetence clouded the good memories of them.
Scott involuntarily started to smile.
Cleo would have built Bdubs a big grave and then joke about how she and Scott switched the graves around. They would’ve known how to cheer Scott up…
Scott’s thoughts trailed off; his smile slipping from his face.
What kind of widow was he?
He shifted his feet uncomfortably. He felt more sadness over Cleo dying than his own husband.
If anyone were to drop by now, they’d see him not act like a proper widow and judge him for it.
Why wasn’t he crying? His husband died in front of him. A normal widow would be crying. Why couldn’t he make himself cry?
Why couldn’t he cry? Why weren’t the tears falling?
Scott wiped away tears that didn’t exist; that should exist, but he failed to actually deliver.
Maybe he just needed a reminder of all the good times. He should find the poppy Jimmy gave him.
He turned around before pausing. Where did he leave that poppy?
His gaze turned to the sky, as if the sun or the clouds would answer his silent question.
But alas, the sky stayed silent. It was probably judging him as well.
Defeated, he let his gaze wander down.
Ah, the tears were coming. Finally.
He caught a glimpse of the hill where he and Cleo made the widows alliance.
He felt his nose start to prickle and his eyes sting.
He quickly speedwalked –not ran, that would look desperate– to the centre of the Flower Valley and plucked the neared red flower he saw.
He didn’t have the time to get the correct flower; the tears would dry up if he wasn't quick enough.
He walked back, deliberately slowing himself down, to his dead husband’s grave. He carefully laid the red –tulip, apparently– on the dirt.
His eyes might have started to water, but no full tears were rolling yet.
Scott pressed his eyes shut, but there just wasn’t enough liquid to squeeze out of his eyes that way.
Scott kept his eyes closed though, and thought about happy smile, shared laughter, inside jokes, hair that reminded him of the sunset, skin the colour of grass on a cold day–
He opened his eyes and bit back a sob. Tears finally escaped his eyes and started to roll over his face.
Now he looked like a proper widow.
Now he was a proper widow.
Scott stood by a grave and wished the events of the last few days hadn’t transpired the way they did.
Scott closed his eyes again before turning around.
He couldn’t stand to look at the grave anymore.
He hopes he’ll start missing him tomorrow.

The Chiseled Catastrophe - 0.5
Episode 0.5 - Hard Feelings
-----------
(This is a continuation of my previous post of a new fanfiction! I will make a post with all the hyperlinks once it's all posted! Please be aware that this introduction was written back in early 2023, so any mention of other MCYTs is purely to continue the story and is not meant to be taken in any hostile manner nor in any controversial fashion. Yes, I am talking about the Dream part--)
Both men launched themselves at the same time, and Jimmy tried to keep up with the direction of Scott's loud strings of fireworks. After a couple of hesitant seconds of silence, Scott spoke up. "Jim, let me know when you're done with your recording, okay? I have to record the beginning of my video so it wouldn't feel weird that I'm that close to Tumble Town."
"Surely the YouTube comments would go wild if they found out you were lurking by me with no context." Jimmy laughed.
Scott's face broke into a grin as he scanned his inventory. "Jim…" Shooting another firework that sent him far up, the Chromia leader takes the airtime to shift things within his inventory, finally putting a familiar flower into his offhand and switching the rockets to the other. "I had some spare flowers to make dyes… and I happen to have 3 of these little beauties."
Jimmy only had to glance at the red poppies before he flusteredly sighed again. "Scott, I swear! You aren't feeding the fans crumbs, you're feeding them literal meals every time we interact!"
"Is that complaining I hear?" Scott laughed.
"No…" Jimmy huffed, though the playful tone hadn't left his voice, "The videos with you always spike with interaction, and it is very cute to see the fans go crazy with a reference or a flirt from you."
"Season one gave them too much lore," Scott held back a loud chuckle, "did you see all the animatics?"
"Don't even get me started with the videos…! They're all so good!" Jimmy breathed. "All it takes is one mere sentence or reference, and one background song that matches the feeling, and boom, 3rd Life flashback, I get slow-mo shot in the head, you're clutching my corpse, and you sit near a grave that says 'my beloved' or something like that…"
Scott took that as a call to continue, reminiscing on the ones he'd seen. And he's seen plenty. "And then either it flashes forward to season one of Empires, or it goes to Double Life, and you're paired with Tango and me with Pearl. It's all super angsty unless it's a bittersweet one about my afterlife in Rivendell."
"Who knows… maybe in season three, I'd be the one to feed the crumbs." Scott could hear the blonde's cocky smile from his words.
"Ooh, feisty Sheriff." Scott drank in his confidence. "Maybe you will get those handcuffs on me after all."
Silence from Jimmy's mic. Then he softly whispered, "Pretend I never said anything."
Scott bursted out laughing and realized he was still recording. He hesitated to stop it, knowing this would be a memory to cherish later on. "I'll take back anything I said. I can't wait for season three of Empires."
"Neither can I, buddy, neither can I-... Uh, Scott?"
Scott hummed, taking a sip of his drink, watching the world load beneath him. "Yes, sheriff?"
"I think there's a fire in Chromia."
"What?!"
Chromia, Scott's meticulously crafted empire, came into view, spawning out in laggy chunks. As they arrived, the loud crackle of fire and the sight of smoke billowing into the sky greeted them. The empire they had known had been set ablaze, its precious structures threatened by an uncontrollable inferno started beside the now-closed Nether portal.
Without hesitation and another word, Scott and Jimmy rushed to Chromia's aid. The fire was devouring some of the architectural wonders, threatening to consume the rest. Thankfully, it hadn't reached the livestock yet.
Scott went straight for his llamas, reaching for the cobble in his inventory to create a wall between the fire and the untouched land. Jimmy instead went straight into the heart of the fire, splashing his water bucket onto the Nether portal and diving into Chromia's large, quartz fountain to gather more. He already had a couple of spare water buckets he had made to extinguish his own fires. Once Scott had blocked off the rest of his empire, he fell into line with the blonde's repeated actions, also fishing for water to spill onto the withering wood.
With precision and grace, they worked tirelessly, dousing the flames that hungered for more destruction. Scott and Jimmy managed to save many of the buildings, structures, and landscapes that had defined Chromia. The once-raging fire was now reduced to smoky remnants, defeated by their relentless efforts. Amidst the smoky ruins, the duo shared a moment of exhaustion and relief. They gazed at the embers slowly fading away knowing that they had just saved an empire.
"Did you record any of that?" Jimmy breathed, wringing out his hands after his constant clicking on the mouse and keyboard.
Scott ran a hand through his hair, wiping at his eyes. The brightness of the monitor was starting to hurt his vision, and his head was starting to ache. "I haven't stopped recording since you started back in Tumble Town."
"You didn't do this, did you?"
"Why would I? Jimmy, I'm not stupid to burn down months of my work. I'm most likely to make a copy of my world or at least keep the fire contained to a certain point."
"We aren't planning a finale yet, right?" Jimmy asked, hoping to understand why his and Scott's empire was being threatened. "If it was the end, I'd understand all this destruction, but I haven't heard from anyone about any plans to wrap up season 2. This is really scary, Scott. Maybe it’s not just our empires, it could be the entire server that’s facing this. Maybe someone has been in here that shouldn’t be."
“I want to know who did this.” Scott’s voice was grim. “This wasn’t a prank, nor was it something intended for the Empire's storyline.” He clicked on the chat, and instantly began writing.
Smajor1995: This is not a joke. Someone griefed Chromia and Tumble Town, and it is unacceptable.
Unlike when Tango talked about the letter when the chat was lively with people, now the words faded into the game with no response. Grumbling, Scott pulled up the online member status for the server, and he noticed that many were leaving without even the yellow text of their departure. Smallishbeans, LDShadowLady— oh those two are gone… okay, Tango– and he’s gone… Soon he found himself just with three people: himself, the suspicious camera account ‘Time_Is_Up’, and Joey.
'Time_Is_Up' goes offline. And then, Joey too.
“-This is really scary, Scott-”
Wait, Jimmy’s still here? But he’s not online!  Scott turned his attention back to the blonde cowboy who was still crouching in front of the fountain. “Jimmy, why does it say you’re not online? You’re right in front of me.”
“-Maybe it’s not just our empires–”
Ah. So my game and system seem to be frozen… Jimmy’s character isn’t here, and neither is his voice.
“-Maybe someone has been in here that shouldn’t be—” Jimmy’s voice glitched. “Maybe someone has been in here that shouldn’t be— Maybe someone has been in here that shouldn’t be—”
Neither of their characters moved as the sky morphed from an odd shade of white to pure night.
“You shouldn’t be here–”
And the screen flickered off.
Scott sat there for a couple of seconds longer, staring at his reflection through the monitor before it dawned on him that his computer crashed completely. Odd… I thought my software was up to date… He grabbed his phone and went to text his friends when he saw the empty bars of service and the lack of wifi on the edge of his screen. Right, it must've been a network issue for the city. Oh well, it’ll come back shortly, I’m sure. He set his phone down, intending to get a shower in before he’d be able to record again.
As Scott walked to his closet, he noticed a shadow linger by the front of his home, slip something into his mailbox, and disappear. Curiosity piqued him, and he stepped out to investigate.
〰〰〰
Grian made himself comfortable on his couch, a sandwich in his hand, his phone in another. “Imagine the possibilities,” Scar was speaking on the other end, his voice high with energy, “storylines in Empires do so well, what’s stopping us, Hermits, from doing the same thing?”
“Maybe it’s the fact we have so many more members than them?” Grian answered with a mouthful of food. “And instead of set times like the Empires crew have for their interlinking storylines, we can join and build whatever we want, whenever we want.”
A sad sigh from the phone made Grian rethink his words. "Well, it's not like we don't have a storyline in Hermitcraft… we had the wars a couple seasons ago, and we had the big moon last season! It may not be everything Hermitcraft relies on like Empires does, but we do have the occasional 'lore'."
"You don't think we could convince Xisuma to add something?"
Grian shook his head before he realized Scar couldn't see him. "Unfortunately, we have to keep the roleplaying and storytelling to the Life Series."
"Speaking of… When can we begin recording for the new Life Series? Secret life, right?"
"We have a little bit of a time issue with a couple of people, but I think Scott and I will get it confirmed within the next couple of days."
"I can't wait! It's been a while since Mumbo joined us!"
Grian spotted a familiar green avatar on his TV screen. "I know, I can't wait either-... Why does that face look familiar?" he reached to turn up the volume of his TV as he heard the news reporter speak up.
"...A newfound hysteria in the Minecraft community after a series of cryptic tweets from the famous Minecraft YouTuber, Clay, commonly known as Dream, has sent shockwaves throughout the gaming world."
"Dream?... Must be a slow news day if they're reporting on a Minecraft YouTuber… Hey, Scar, I'll call you later." Before the other could respond, Grian ended the call, his attention fully grabbed by the screen in front of him.
The second news anchor spoke up. "That's right, Matt. Just yesterday, Dream tweeted a picture of a mysterious letter with no context whatsoever. And what happened next is truly baffling. Within hours, Clay deleted his worlds, wiped his accounts clean, and disappeared from social media."
Grian found himself sitting on the edge of the sofa, now quite interested.
"That's not all, Stephanie. He's completely lost contact with his family and friends. It's been about 4 days since he was last heard from. His loved ones are deeply concerned, and a community of devoted fans is in turmoil."
A slideshow of Dream with and without his mask, with his friends from the SMP, and with fans in conventions played in slow sequence as the news correspondents continued. He even saw some screenshots of old MCCs mixed in. Hey look, there's some Hermits!
"The Minecraft community is in a state of shock. Dream has been an icon for so many, and this sudden disappearance has left a void. The outpouring of concern and speculation online is a testament to how much he meant to his fans."
"And the big question is, what could have led to this sudden and unexplained exit from the Minecraft universe? Clay's tweets have left everyone mystified."
There was a tweet pertaining to a letter, wasn't there?
"Some speculate that it might be an elaborate ARG or part of a new project. After all, he had posted a tweet of a blurry letter before it was taken down mere minutes later and everything else vanished. However, most have forgotten this idea now that his friends and family have come out in concern. Now, it's mostly believed that this absence is related to stress or personal issues. But until we hear directly from Dream, it's all conjecture."
"Fortunately, through some fans, we were able to get a look at his recently deleted tweet. Take a look."

On the screen, they put up his Twitter, in which, with only the caption, "invited", he had posted a close-up picture of an open envelope with a note sticking out. With a close view, most of the picture was blurry, except for a red stamped seal with the indent of a pixelated crown. Where have I seen that before?
He got up as the report continued. "If you have any idea what this could mean, or if you have seen the creator recently, please contact the missing person hotline and your local police department. His friends and family are all terribly worried." As the brunette slipped into his room, he could hear a recording of GeorgeNotFound in tears talking about his friend and how this abrupt lack of contact is unlike him.
Grian picked up the letter he had left on his desk. A red stamped seal with a pixelated crown. He picked it up and took it back to the TV, hoping it would show the Tweet again so he could compare.
A couple more friends talked about Dream, and while it played the audio, the Tweet showed up again. Grian instantly looked between the two, and compared the wax. It's a strange coincidence, that's for sure. He held it up to the light, inspecting the wax more closely. The reddish hue looked like any other sealing wax, but something about it felt off.
The brunette's inquisitive nature got the better of him, and he carefully scratched the wax with his fingernail. The instant he did, a faint and sickeningly sweet odor escaped, invading his senses. He couldn't quite place it, but it was oddly familiar.
Dizziness gripped him like a vice, his heart raced, and his vision began to blur. Grian stumbled back, dropping the envelope. A feeling of lethargy spread through him as he desperately gasped for fresh air. He stumbled toward the window of his living room, pushing against the window in hopes of unlocking it and getting him to breathe. Relief flooded him as he heard it click and felt a small breeze flutter in. Yet, the dizziness hadn't ceased.
His vision became an abstract painting of muted colors and wavering shapes. The room spun in a nauseating dance as Grian collapsed onto his couch. The air was heavy, like the weight of a thousand bricks pressing down on him. He could taste the bitter tang of chloroform on his tongue.
Every attempt to summon the strength to move was met with resistance from his own body. His consciousness ebbed away like a retreating tide, and his eyelids felt impossibly heavy. His thoughts became disjointed, like fragments of a dream, and then...
Creak.
His window was opening. He heard the shifting of heavy clothing against the frame… then nothing. He heard the click of the TV being turned off. Time became a slippery, elusive concept as Grian's unconscious form lay sprawled across the couch. Two pairs of hands grabbed onto him.
〰〰〰
"Jim, it's okay," Kristy put an arm around her boyfriend. Jimmy leaned into her with a quiet sigh.
"I just can't believe this happened… Someone has clearly hacked their way onto the server and has some sort of grudge against us."
She ran a hand through his hair. "You've asked everyone in the Discord?"
"I tried. But they aren't responding, whether it be in-game or online." The blonde looked up at her. "They must be confused too, right? Why else would they not respond to me?"
"I'm sure, dear." She assured him. "Hey, at least you got some fresh content. That'll be sure to get a ton of views."
"I suppose so…" Jimmy shrugged. “I wish I could’ve at least saved a version of this, so I’d be able to still do something.”
“Take it as a fresh reset for Tumble Town… Though it was against your will, I think that you should take it as a sign to rebuild it better than before. It would even make sense in your storyline too, you know, with Sheriff Jimmy wanting to be respected and beheld. Rebuilding your empire will make sure of your admiration! Though I don’t know much about Minecraft, I’d love to help nonetheless!”
“It’s tough, Kristy,” Jimmy tried to explain his woes. “Tumble Town holds so many memories!”
“It’s not like you don’t have them recorded, Jim.” She nudged him with a smile. “You have a YouTube channel, for love’s sake, all your memories are already loaded onto there, sometimes, with your friends’ perspectives too! Besides, you aren’t building it alone, you have so many friends who would love to help! You told me how everyone was jumping to give you resources, weren’t you?”
She’s right. Everything is online now. “Yeah… yeah, you’re right. I can rebuild Tumble Town, and make it even better–” The doorbell interrupted his thoughts.
“I’ll get it, dear.” Kristy was quick to get up, giving her boyfriend a peck on the cheek. “Lighten up, Jim. Take it easy today.” She returned moments later with a letter. “It’s for you. I’ll leave it on the table.”
“Thanks, Kristy.” Jimmy smiled, merely glancing at the envelope and spotting the ominous crimson seal. “Could you bring Norman in here, please?”
“Of course. While you freshen up, I’ll start making us something for dinner, alright?” She lingered by the door. “Maybe if you’re up for it, we can watch a movie together.”
“That’s very sweet of you, thank you.” Jimmy managed to say before she disappeared into the hall. Once she was gone, his eyes flickered to the desk, where the envelope lay. Could this be the letter that Tango mentioned? He reached toward it and upon grabbing it, investigated the thick seal.
“Actually, Jim,” he heard his girlfriend call from the kitchen, “can you cut some vegetables for me? It won’t take long, but having your help can really speed things up.”
“Yeah, of course!” Jimmy slid the letter under his pillow and got up to go help her. I can text him about it later…
Once he and Kristy had made and eaten their dinner, the couple watched a movie with Norman asleep on their lap. Once it was done, they cleaned after themselves and Kristy parted ways to take a shower, leaving Jimmy alone on his bed, prepared to sleep. However, sleeping on his pillow and hearing the ruffle of paper underneath reminded him of the letter, and he was quick to take out his phone and call his Rancher, Tango, knowing he’d most likely be awake through their time zone difference. After hearing the sound of the shower and ensuring that Kristy wouldn’t come back to the bed, he pulled out the letter and pried at the wax gently to open it.
“Hello?”
“Hey Tango, it’s Jimmy…”
“ ‘Sup Jim, what are you calling for?”
“I think I received the same letter as you.” Jimmy glanced over the paragraphs of writing, spotting the phrase ‘this is meant for you and the 9 other invitees’ and linking it to the same number he had remembered from the chat.
There was a short moment of silence from the other end of his phone, and then Tango responded with just, “Oh.”
“And- and I know it says don’t say anything…” he ran a hand through his messy hair, as his eyes once again skimmed the letter, “but I assumed, as a receiver of the same letter, you’d be able to give me some context?”
“Whatever’s on there is exactly what I have, Jimmy,” Tango admitted. “I’m as clueless as you are.”
“It’s all so confusing. Why didn’t they just email us? Or give us further details than just the fact that it’s Minecraft-based, we have to dress up, and we can’t record anything…”
“It’s quite creepy, but it lightens my worry that you got an invite too. I was actually not planning to go until I saw that Mumbo and Ren got the invite too.”
“So you think it’s worth it? Spending a night at their theme park or whatever?”
“If it’s not, at least I get to see my Rancher in person.”
Jimmy grinned. “True, true. If it’s really not worth our time, it would only be a waste of 12 hours. They said transportation, food, and a place of stay are all covered, so it’s not like we’re even losing money. I’d be very excited to see more Hermitcraft and Empires members invited… And I’m sure there are more, ‘cause there’s no way they’d just invite me, a mid-tier content creator, when they have huge faces on the Empires SMP like Scott, Joel, and Lizzie.”
“Oh Jim, don’t call yourself a ‘mid-tier’... I believe you are climbing to stardom.” Tango interjected. “But I do understand what you mean since Scott, Joel, and Lizzie all have wider fanbases and a long history connected to Minecraft and are more likely to be invited.” He laughed. “I actually feel the same way, to be honest. There are huge faces in Hermitcraft, like, obviously, Grian, Mumbo, and Scar… So it was surprising I got the invite, and it's relieving Ren and Mumbo got one too.”
It sounds a bit risky. The wording sounds a bit too… friendly.
“So, are you going, Jim?”
Jimmy pondered this question, then after a moment, answered, “I think I might. I mean, I’d love to see more people in person. I think it would be a worthwhile 12 hours of my life. Besides, it's an excuse to dress up as a sheriff.”
“Great! Then, I can’t wait to see you in person, Rancher.”
The blonde’s worry seemed to disappear at that sentence. “You as well, Tango. I haven’t seen many of the Hermits in person either, so that’s going to be an exciting feat.”
“Alright Jim, is that all?”
Jimmy spotted another piece of paper in the envelope. “Yeah, that’s all. Thanks for the assurance.”
“Of course. Thanks for calling me, man. Have a good night, alright?”
“You as well.”
The call ended and silence took over as he flipped over the paper.
Jimmy,
You are our last attendee. Your invite wasn’t intended, it was to fill up a required spot. Don’t make the mistake your doppelganger did. Read the directions carefully, know the consequences, and prevent further faults.
“Mistake? I was the last choice?” Jimmy’s smile broke into a frown. “What a demotivating and rude thing to say.” But the excitement of meeting his online friends muted the blaring alarm in his head and he carefully tucked the letters back into the envelope, pushed the wax in, and set it back onto the table as convincingly as he could. He heard the bathroom door creak open, and instantly rolled back into bed, tossing the covers over his head as he pretended to be asleep. However, the wax had rubbed against the pillow, and unbeknownst to Jimmy, he fell into a deeper sleep than he had intended to.
Shadows wisped the blonde away before Kristy came to bed.
“Jimmy?... Jimmy?!”
〰〰〰
Tango had received the same fate once he had finished the call. Upon reading through the letter again, his hand rubbed against the wax as a nervous habit. Dizzy and disoriented, he had passed out and fallen off of his chair. The shadows were able to move him quite easily.
〰〰〰
Mumbo had spilled some tea on the envelope and had been trying to clean it up. Upon trying to dab off the stain, he had fainted beside his kitchen counter. They had entered through his backyard door. One had even drank his tea.
〰〰〰
Joel and Lizzie had been rummaging through their closets for outfits for the ‘party’ when Joel had been trying to save the wax because it looked pretty. The scent had wafted around the room, and the couple had passed out on their bed. The shadows were happy to kill two birds with one stone. Or in this case, two lovebirds with one letter.
〰〰〰
Scott had been reading after he had picked up his mail. After pressing the wax unintentionally against many of the magazines, he fell unconscious after closely reading just a few pages. Unfortunately, his door was kept unlocked.
〰〰〰
Ren was quite excited to be a part of a Minecraft party. However, he was quite suspicious of the seal, since it didn’t quite match any he recalled. Upon rubbing it, however, nothing came off, but he sure felt dizzy. He didn’t make it to the sink to splash water on himself, passing out in his hall. They broke in through his window.
〰〰〰
Marytn was very happy to have the red wax seal, as he intended on using it for a button on his regular, bright green Minecraft skin to add some contrast. However, upon trying to scrape it out, he had fallen asleep in his closet. The shadows took a while to find him; they were almost convinced he had escaped.
〰〰〰
Joey was the only one who recognized this stamp. He had tried to throw it away, burn it, and even throw it in a paper shredder. But it always magically showed up again. Joey was convinced it had something to do with the thick wax, so he tried to pry it out. He passed out in his backyard, opposite his bonfire. The shadows extinguished it when they found him; they didn't want one of their players getting burned after all.

3rd life support group
"I can't come, I have a meeting." Scott said as he took off his cape. the WRA looked at him like kicked puppies. "Guys, i'll be back later this is important to me." Scott said crossing his arms. "More important than us?" Sausage swooned. "yes this is a once a month meeting that I have to go to or they'll hunt me down." Scott said smirking with a shake of his head. "Who are you meeting with?" Pearl asked as she snooped through his chests. "theee... wood elves." Scott said after trailing off. "The wood elves?" Gem said, suspiciously. "Mhm, so shoo." Scott said waving his hand at them.
the Wither Rose Alliance stood outside of the great hall of Rivendell. "so are we going to follow him?" Fwhip said leaning against one of the pillars. "Obviously!" Sausage said. "yeah he's hiding something." Gem agreed. "hooray operation spy on Scott!" Pearl cheered.
five minutes later Scott left the Hall looking far different from the reserved king of Rivendell they knew. he was sporting a well worn fur-lined denim jacket covered in pins and a couple splats of paint. he was wearing dark brown linen pants, his ears were studded with tiny golden earrings, and his hair was pulled back in a half up half down style. his antlers were covered in poppies. and the weirdest thing was he was properly smiling. not his sarcastic smirk but a happy smile.
he walked into the woods and relaxed as he left his empire. soon they followed him to a clearing with a merrily cracking fire in the middle of it. but what really grabbed the WRA's attention were the two other men sat by the fire. Gem had to lunge at Fwhip and put a hand over his mouth before his overly loud gasp could be heard, because sitting by the fire was The Codfather without his codhead, in a much more civilian tunic and pants and The Mezealan king in a white undershirt and well loved leather vest, there was a very happy wolf at his feet accepting loving belly rubs. They both had no visible weapons
Pearl had to lunge at sausage before his gasp gave them away when Scott bent down and kissed the Codfather. "Hey Sunflower." "Ewwwwww." Joel said feigning gagging. "You are literally married." Scott said Flatly. Joel, the obvious height of maturity stuck his tongue out at the elf. "You are also 'Literally Married' " Joel said with intense air quotes. Jimmy just laughed. the WRA looked at each other in shock. had Scott double crossed them?
"not legally!" Jimmy argued with a wave of his finger. "blah blah you both know you're basically married in all eyes except the law. Grian and Scar sent you guys a wedding gift last month." Joel said. "that was your fault and you know it." Jimmy said. "listen all i asked Gem to do was to deliver a letter to Scar I didn't know he would tell Grian." Joel defended himself. the whole WRA looked at Gem who was not making eye contact.
"anything happening with you guys?" Jimmy asked, laying in the grass. "I miss my cabin." Joel said quietly. "I miss all my wolves. Shrub nearly caught me having a breakdown in her forest." Joel said shaking his head. "well you could ask her to camp in the forest?" Scott reasoned. "i think she knows i'm a king." Joel huffed. "it'd be weird if a king was camping in her forest." Joel muttered. the WRA sat dumbstruck, this was seemingly very personal information.
only the trio who were hiding in the bushes saw Joel sneaking up on Scott with a stick. and when he wacked the other over the head they expected their friend to blow up at the other king but he didn't just stare at Joel. before suddenly Scott lunged forward a stick also clutched in his hands.
they mock fought around the fire as The Codfather egged on his partner. "Get 'im Petal!" he cheered. "this is for our wall!" Scott crowed victoriously as he beat Joel over the head with the stick. "Well i'm sorry it couldn't hold up to light arson! it was just encouragement to build a stone wall!" Joel said holding up his hands against the on-slot. Scott began to chuckle darkly. and then quick as a whip threw the stick for the wolf. "Fear the cottagecore gay." Scott whispered.
"food's done!" Jimmy announced deftly moving the pieces of meat from the coals of the fire onto small wooden plates. "Thank you." Scott said leaning against the Codfolk and kissing him on the cheek. "Your welcome." the Codfather said leaning into the other's touch. "Give me the food Jimmy, i don't come here to watch you two be lovey dovey." Joel grouched. "If you want war you should come to our game nights we played Uno last time." Jimmy said with a chuckle. "Okay you were quite obviously cheating! you can't stack +2's!" Scott said pouting. "No." Jimmy said rolling his eyes. "No yes you can do that or yes no you admit to cheating?" Jimmy just blinked at Scott twice. The elf groaned and rolled his eyes.
as the sun passed noon Scott got to his feet. "See you tomorrow Sunflower." Scott said kissing the Codfather. "you got it Petal, good luck with building the village." Codfather said jumping to his feet. "Obviously." Scott said with a laugh. and with a swish Scott started walking back towards Rivendell. Joel and Jimmy began to clean up around the camp. They were talking too quiet for the WRA to hear but there were a few waving hands. "I am a king I can legally marry you two! you just need to bring paper work I can even bring rings! we have plenty of gold in the Mesa" Joel said. "alright fine- I was planning on proposing tomorrow night you can marry us at the next support group meeting if he says yes." Jimmy said blushing a furious red. "HA! Grian owes me 15 diamonds!" Joel yelled and punched Jimmy's shoulder. "yeah yeah." Jimmy rolled his eyes. eventually the two went their separate ways and their spies popped out of the bushes.
The WRA exchanged glances before breaking out into loud conversation. Sausage was the loudest out of all of them.
"Holy bleep."

Ok so there are a lot of thematic parallels and subversions in scar’s ending and I highly doubt I will be able to scratch the surface of all of them but here are the main ones (warning this is a lot):
3rd life parallels
-Before the final dual Pearl asked Scar to take her out for the hearts but Scar refused as he wanted a fair fight which is similar to how Scar told Grian to kill him but he refused
-The final dual was a 1v1 between Scar and Pearl reminiscent of the cactus ring where the loser died from falling from a height however this time scar was the victor
-The person in chat who let Scar know that he won was Grian which can be interpreted as Grian congratulating a former ally and him showing scar his sympathy as they now share the same pain of killing an ally and being left complete alone
-Grian won on a cliff during the day, Scar won in a ravine at night
Double life
-Scar won without any proper allies which is very similar to Pearl’s win in double life where she was completely alone and abandoned by everyone with both of them vilified by the rest of the server and not being in the best mental state because of it
-In double life Scar was the only person who consistently cared for Pearl and supported her in her crazy antics and he never tried to seriously hurt her even after he turned red, sure she did end up forming the broken hearts alliance with you and Ren but only after you both left her. Pearl letting Scar into the mounders alliance feels like Pearl’s way of repaying him back for the kindness he gave to her
-Pearl letting Scar join her alliance can also be seen as her making sure Scar doesn’t go through the same thing as her allowing him to have some form of friends, to not feel so alone like how her victory was even if for a short time and she also let’s Scar have his dual as a way to not repeat Scott’s sacrifice
-Pearl is said to have “left the tower” as she has proper allies now who she loves and is loved by and people are now saying that Scar has “left the desert” as he fought in a 1v1 and won and he never teamed up with Grian finally letting him go. They have left their trauma and can now heal.
-The fact that the final battle was between Scar and Pearl makes the Scarlet Pearl parallels much sadder
limited life
-You and Scar both only won when you weren’t with your 3rd life ally (Ren and Grian) and you both won with the main symbol of your 3rd life alliance (dogwarts banner for you, lilacs and poppies for scar)
-You both defied a main convention of winners in the life series with you winning by not having a fair battle and going insane and Scar being the only winner not to die
-Scar killed both Cleo and Etho who were his “parents” in limited life
-Scar's response to being accepted into the mounders was "so you're saying I have a family now" which is reminiscent of the clockers family which was arguably his happiest and healthiest alliance
Non-specific
-Scar was the only winner who chose to not die in the end and is still alive. He could have died by letting the zombie that was attacking him kill him but he didn’t. Is trapped by the watchers or has he escaped them, is he eternally alone or is he the only one free? Who knows but the fans will go insane about it regardless.
-The first one out, Lizzie, and Scar the winner were both the ones without allies and were completely alone in the series
-The mounders alliance that he joined has Bdubs who was his limited life ally and Joel who was his Last life ally
-Scott didn’t want Scar and Jimmy to team up initially because of Jimmy’s curse and Scar's notorious bad habit of not paying attention to how much damage he taken, out of fear that they'd get each other out but the canary curse was broken and scar won
-Earlier in the episode Scar said "who cares, really, know, at the end? we all just die, and then it's just nothing, after this" however he never died in the end subverting his own line
-Scar was alone and isolated for the whole series yet he has the thematic parallels to 3 out of the 4 winners (I only watched last life in Lizzie’s perspective so I got nothing for Scott)
Rn now these are only ones I can think of. If I missed any then everyone else will have you covered. Inthelittlewood if you have read all of this then I hope this was entertaining. I absolutely loved this series and everyone did such a fantastic job. I hope you have a wonderful day and can hopefully endure the insanity that has descended onto this fandom.
how you feeling about scars ending? there were so many little nuggets of stuff that what really kinda poetic- whether it was purposeful or not
Please elaborate on the poetic bits, I've yet to watch his episode yet. I'm actually clueless as to what happened after I died because life has been none stop for me since that session!
Would be good to have those deets ahead of my lore chat stream in a few days

for the pirate au: jewelry? we know jimmy has the poppy ring, but do any of the others have any and what significance does it hold?
Jimmy doesn't wear any jewelry other than the ring. He doesn't see the point.
Scott still has the necklace Jimmy gave him, obviously. He probably wears the most jewelry out of everyone on the ship casually. He's always got on bracelets, earrings, rings, whatever.
Pixl probably wears a couple bracelets because he likes the noises they make when they clink against one another. They don't have any particular emotional significance but each one does have a fun story behind how he got them.
Joel... wears a lot of rings. Why? Idk it just fits his vibe. He also has his wedding band on a chain around his neck and displays it proudly, waiting for someone to ask about it so he can brag about his beautiful, amazing, stunning wife.
All of the WRA have matching pins which, because I am a predictable bitch, look like a wither rose.
Gem and Fwhip also have matching bracelets. They got them almost immediately after reuniting as a promise that they would never allow themselves to be separated again.
Pearl has sun earrings that are linked to her religion. Sausage does too, but his are studs while Pearl's dangle.
Shelby doesn't wear anything potentially noisy. Any jewelry she wears is woven, but she's not big on it in general. She does, however, have a small shelf dedicated to the jewelry that Katherine gifts her. Sometimes, she'll catch herself slipping one of the rings onto her ring finger just to see how it looks, or fidgeting with the gem on a necklace while daydreaming about a certain pirate.
Katherine wears a circlet tiara anytime she's in public, which she gained from her crowning achievement: when she raided the coastal capital of one of the biggest, wealthiest empires in the world. It was so devastating the royal family actually moved the capital inland, and it played a huge part in building her reputation as the pirate queen.
Joey has hoop earrings, but Xornoth doesn't wear any accessories. They don't tend to go for anything flashy or eye catching, and usually wear very simple outfits, which is in complete contrast to the rest of their family.
Lizzie, as a queen, is very decadent. She always wearing a tiara or crown, she adores chandelier earrings, her arms are covered in bands and bracelets, she has a vast collection of tail accessories like fabric wrap around belts and waist capes and fin jewelry, and her tops are usually encrusted with prismarine and pearls and other little gems found at the bottom of the ocean. Just... a very dramatic queen.

any thots on scarian kisseis? maybe,,,,, homlhd handsms,,,,,,, do a scam? get a kiss????
It’s quiet, in their little house on a mountain that Grian’s built for the both of them. It’s theirs. Their bed and their tools atop their desert, one that was claimed at Scar’s insistence.
So why on earth did he keep looking at Scott and Jimmy’s place? Their corner of the world is peaceful, but neither of them are built for peaceful. They’re messy, and they’re violent, but that’s what makes his heart race and his breath leave him in peals of laughter. He knows Scar feels it too. He’s seen that excited, manic point to his conman’s smile, the same one Grian sees in the mirror. Scar’s a red life, and they rule the harsh desert together. They aren’t built for the quiet, boring-ness of the hobbits’ home.
It’s almost a relief when Joel burns down their wall. He feels bad for the husbands, of course, but—
Scar’s still looking at it with that gentle, longing look.
Grian takes his hand and leaves. He can’t make their home like that. He could make the desert beautiful—he’s a builder, it’d be child's play—but he could never build something peaceful. Not on this server. Here, peace meant you were dead.
It’d also be a colossal waste of time and resources. Counterproductive, too. The cacti and lava are unsightly, but they’re useful. They keep out intruders and more importantly, they keep Scar safe. The two of them have to be practical here.
“That’s not why I was—slow down there, G—not why I was staring at the hobbit home,” Scar says, stumbling in the dew and grass as Grian drags him along. “I love what’s ours.”
“Okay.” His answer is short and clipped as he whirls around to face his partner, a tenseness in the cut of his shoulders. Their hands are dropped in the movement, and he regrets the action almost instantly. He crosses his arms over his chest so he can blatantly ignore how he misses the way their hands fit together, how warm Scar’s palm was against his.
Frankly, everything he’s doing is a little petty, but every time he sees that expression on Scar’s face, something sour curls in his chest.
The expression on Scar’s face now resembles a deer in headlights, eyes wide and lead-tongued in a way he’d never let himself be in public. He takes his sweet time forming a response, avoiding the stony look Grian’s boring into him.
“You turned down my proposal,” he finally says, and Grian takes a solid minute to buffer.
“What proposal?” He says, heart loud in his ears and bafflement dripping from his voice.
“I gave you flowers!” Scar’s voice pitches in response. “Several! Jimmy married Scott with one!”
Oh. Oh.
“You followed it up with, ‘can we still be friends.’ You don’t say that if you’re trying to marry someone!” He hisses, trying to keep the delighted fluttering in his chest under control.
“Well-!” Scar pauses, out of words to talk him out of the corner he’s backed himself into. Good. That’s what he gets.
“I was worried you’d leave.”
“I’m still here, aren’t I?” Grian says with the bickering edge in his voice softening to gentle reassurance, “I haven’t gone anywhere.”
There’s a beat of quiet from both of them afterwards, where Grian relishes in the butterflies floating in his stomach, in the stars winking in and out of sight above them, and in the red Scar’s ears always turn whenever he blushes.
Something thin and smooth is pressed into his palm, and he looks down to find a poppy the same, gentle red. He’d wonder where it came from, but it is Scar he’s dealing with. He probably carries entire bouquets in his inventory for the heck of it.
Grian loves him for it. He loves him for a lot of things. He wants to say it’s unexpected, but it’s as natural as everything else in this life has been.
“Then,” his partner says, an uncharacteristic line of nervousness tinting his words, “will you marry me?”
Grian’s too busy kissing him to answer.

I desperately miss flower husbands
Like genuinely, I want them back.
I get it, ranchers is funky (/pos) and wholesome and all
But I kind of hate the fact that ppl just like… left flower husbands completely and now ppl call it toxic.
Ik there are still flower husbands shippers out there, obviously, but like… yk what I mean?
And I’ve seen someone say before in refute to the whole “guys it’s a block game, it’s rlly not toxic to hit someone in a BLOCK GAME” saying that: “yeah, it’s a block game, so why did u call them husbands?”
DID YA’LL FORGET THAT SCOTT STARTED IT?? DID YA’LL FORGET THAT SCOTT STARTED THE “husband” PART OF IT?? HAD SCOTT NOT SAID “nope, we’re married now” (or whatever he said idk I’m dying rn ycxtkctixitxt) WHEN JIMMY GAVE HIM THE POPPY WE PROB WOULDNT HAVE CALLED THEM FLOWER HUSBANDS. HAD SCOTT NOT LITERALLY SCREAMED “NOO MY HUSBAND!” WHEN JIMMY DIES FOR THE SECOND TIME, DO U THINK WE WOULD HAVE CALLED THEM HUSBANDS??? DO U??? WE PROBABLY WOULD HAVE CALLED THEM LIKE FLOWER BOYFRIENDS OR SMTH
PLEASEEE PEOPLE STOP CALLING THEM TOXIC I SWEAR TO GOD THEY’RE NOT.
LIKE HAVE YOU SEEN EMPIRES SEASON 1???? HAVE YOU SEEN IT??? THEY’RE SO VGTIDTIERSTIDKDKTDKTDOY
Anyway
Sorry for yapping in ur inbox I was feeling a bit emo
I am currently watching Empires s1 and yeah I agree. It feels like people sometimes mistake Scott’s teasing for bullying.

Writing prompt - Flower husband's (Timmy & Scott) first flower? I just thought it could be cute Ɛ>
It wasn't likely they would find each other. At first, Scott thought he was unlucky to find Jimmy out of everyone, Jimmy was the most likely to die or cause problems.
After a while, though, Scott found that he was lucky to have found Jimmy. He felt nice when he was around him, safe and warm. Those feelings were like water in the desert on this server, and Jimmy was like an oasis.
Although he knew that he felt something for Jimmy, he was content just letting the feelings sit there until it was bigger, or just ignoring them altogether. But, they were in a flower field, so he might as well give him one.
Scott picked some flowers from the spot he was laying in the grass, waiting for something to happen to distract him from his feelings. Jimmy sitting next to him was not the event he had in mind though.
  "What are you doing?"
Scott could stare at his smiling face all day, he wanted to make him smile like that forever.
"Just picking flowers," He sat up and reached over to tuck the poppy he had behind Jimmy's ear.
It was the first flower they exchanged, but if he got to see Jimmy's flustered face every time he gave him one, he had a feeling it wasn't gonna be the last.

As a first post here's a one shot I made!
Golden Eyes Afterlife Flower husbands🌷
It's been awhile since Scott had seen Jimmy. Well since his new origin, hoping it won't go as badly Scott slowly goes back too the ground as he walked passed the old clubhouse on his way over. It seems a bit rude just too fly in uninvited after all, after walking through the river or more so on top of it, Scott looks for Jimmy maybe he's out he think and walks around looking at everything.
His wings perked up as he looked over too see what he heard. There he was, Jimmy who's currently a dragon looking at Scott curiously. Scott smiles and puts down his wings, "hey Jimmy I apologize if i was interrupting something." in a gentle voice Jimmy shakes his head and response "oh no it's no issue I wasn't doing much anyways what happened to you? Weren't you a vampire?" Jimmy asks.
Scott walks over a bit more towards the smaller dragon, "uh I was, luckily I'm not the god awful evil thing anymore I'm an angel now" he says while fixing a piece of hair that fell out of place, Jimmy stares at Scott from head to toe looking back at his eyes. Eyes that reminded him of a shiny gold ingot, sparkling with the sunlight, he couldn't get his eyes off of them they enchanted him maybe even put a curse on him but he never wanted too look away. Scott smiled a bit and said a few thing, Jimmy tried too listen but couldn't stop looking into those eyes watching as his golden hair fell over them and he pushed it back, watching as his skin sparkled in the sun just like his eyes.
Oh how beautiful it was just looking at him. Scott finished what he was saying and was about too leave when Jimmy grabbed his hand. "No." he said in a serious tone, "stay. Please." Scott blushed a bit not expecting him too say that "wh-what" Scott said flustered, "stay. With me?" Jimmy said looking into his eyes once more. Scott gave in and agreed as Jimmy continues to drag him over towards his storage room. Once inside they sat down as Jimmy layed on top of Scott's lap making him turn red as the dragon grabbed his hand, Scott didn't know what too do he looked at Jimmy too see him smiling looking into his eyes. His heart pounded, like it could come out of his chest any second now but he didn't care, he smiles and they both stayed there for hours and hours. Never wanting to get up, never wanting to leave. They were there together and that was all that matters, Jimmy even grabbed a small red poppy and put it in his hair, sure it clashed with his outfit but he doesn't care.
Soon enough Scott told Jimmy he had too leave Jimmy got up once again, and begged him not too leave, he didn't like the idea of the others seeing him, he didn't want anyone else staring into those eyes of his or compliment him on his outfit or hair. He wanted to protect him, protect him from everything and hide Scott from the others so no one could hurt him,he fear one day those kind, sparkling eyes are going to go away forever and hell never see them again. Scott faces Jimmy and puts a hand on his cheek, "I'm sorry. I must go I have duties after all, but I will be back. You'll just have to wait a bit longer" he says as Scott gently kisses the top of Jimmy's head making him blush. "I'll be back one day." he says before getting up and leaving the storage room. Jimmy got up and watched as Scott flew away poppy still in his hair with a disappointed Jimmy watching him.
Patiently waiting until he can see those golden eyes once again.

Can someone send me questions about my aus – any of my aus?
I've been feeling a bit of – well, not necessarily a lack of motivation nor writer's block, just something in between that's just a wall but it's not a very big wall, like I could probably climb over with a stepladder if I had one but I currently can't find one so I have to ask a friend if they have a stepladder.
and well, y'all're that friend so yeah, I'm asking for a stepladder from y'all to get over this wall I've hit. I'm think if you guys ask me questions about my aus, then I might get some oomph in my gears and get back to writing the fics I've got.
.
AUs [both the two I'm updating and ones I've yet to officially begin]
Found Family: [on ao3] you already know this one – this is my Xornoth adopts child!Shubble au. I've written several chapters for it on ao3, though, it's a pre-empires story atm where we get to see Shrub's life before she came to the Overworld.
Jimnoth: [on ao3] Jimmy and Xornoth, enemies to lovers, has Hermitcraft side characters [specifically Bdubs], includes a corrupted poppy that XorXor gave to Jimmy.
Dragon Mom Grian: [on computer, in progress] regular Hermitcraft but Grian starts getting a bit protective over not only the dragon egg but also the members of Boatem. [I've started writing it out but haven't uploaded a story yet because I wanna get most of it written]
Watcher Grian meets Hermitcraft: [on computer, in progress] set in Hermitcraft 6, Grian lives in a random world after an incident involving the Watchers and that world suddenly becomes inhabited by the hermits. he's curious about them but nervous to interact so he mostly keeps to the sidelines and only gets near their bases when they're not around. he helps them with their builds sometimes and leaves little signs for them. the hermits know he's watching them/visiting when they're not around and they're trying to find ways to show him that they're awesome so they can befriend him/adopt him.
corrupted Jimmy / Sleep-Deprived Sausage: [on computer, in progress] takes place after the raid on the Cod Empire. Jimmy loses his people and in a moment of heartbreak, joins Xornoth. He takes revenge on all who wronged him and he becomes a threat to society. au is combined with a sleep-deprived Sausage au where Sausage has trouble sleeping/nightmares after he's released from Xornoth's control. at the very least, has enemies to friends Scott and Sausage, potentially has flytrap husbands
Among Us - Empires crossover: [on computer, in progress] cast of Empires in an Among Us setting. Lizzie and Jimmy are imposter siblings and are sent to Captain Pixlriff's ship, they face a Crew of weird slightly unhinged people which makes their mission difficult. Includes Jizzie, Flower Husbands, platonic Meat Husbands, Nature Wives, and Jornoth [Xornoth is a human who pretends to be a bad boy/demon/imposter]. Imposter Jimmy just wants to be friends and Lizzie is like "We're supposed to be killing them". The Crew adopts two Imposters.
Potential Fics post where there's some more information about the aus. so, send me some questions/asks? please?
