"Funny enough I—like, if street hockey, ministicks, I always wanted to be a goalie too! Like, for some reason I always wanted to go in net. You know, probably because of [my Dad] and then, um, you know, once you get dinged a couple times and the shots get too hard you realise—then it's not so much fun after all so... Yeah, it was great he'd always—"
"You probably wanted to be goalie 'cuz you're fucking crazy, man! Those guys are bananas! I actually went as a goalie in morning skate one time when I was suspended in the coast, and it was the scariest thing ever, bro. It's nothing like blocking a shot because you're literally just standing there, and these guys are shooting right at you. It's unbelievable!"
"Yeah! You gotta get in the way of the stuff to save it! That's crazy! I know, and like obviously gear is like great and they don't really feel—but there is, like, that psychological thing going on where, like, you know, you wanna move out of the way 'cuz it's gonna hurt! I get—I mean, it must not hurt that much, like, 'cuz Bob's crazy, man! Bob loves taking—Well, I wouldn't say loves taking it off the head, but he doesn't hate it, like he—"
"Feels good?"
"You know, every once in a while—they hit him in the head and you go up and say sorry he's like, 'No, no! It's all good! I love it, I love it!!' and like, kind-of shoos you away so."
The Buzz Pod | 8.7.24 (x)
so speaking of banking pucks off bobbys head and how much he loves it flashback to that day in october of 23 where bobby was doing that for practise and managed to rope in matthew to the shenanigans to the utter confusion of everyone involved (x)(x)(x)(x)
love how the older skaters in the senior division give Yurio encouragement and that each time it pisses Yurio off. JJ is intentionally condescending so that makes sense, but with Viktor and Yuuri they're not even being condescending. Yurio's just dialed in on being a hater... and i love that for him <3
Smoked half a joint and watched the Gear Five episode. What a beautiful episode. As I sat there stoned I watched Luffy reach true freedom and desired that myself. Oda. I see what Gear 5 represents. The laughter we all desire so much in our lives. Thank you Toei and all who worked on this beautiful episode for your contributions to some of the best fiction I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Goofy ass Luffy is amazing. They encapsulated true joyfulness. And oh my god the sound track 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻. This was just a beautiful display of comedy and joy wrapped in one bundle.
I laughed so hard at some of the shit he does. They animated it perfectly. Top notch.
Mudd's Angels, part III: The Business, As Usual, During Altercations
While chasing Harry Mudd at warp 9 (long story), kirk rams the Enterprise full speed into the galactic barrier, throwing them into an entirely seperate galaxy
calling billy knight’s facial hair “billygoat’s scruff”… thank you and goodnight.
okay but you just know he’d let out the cutest lil fucking giggle every time you call it that… like C’MONNNN. you just know that man loves a good pun, especially a literary pun.
About 40% of my excitement for the gear 5th episode is to actually see my goofy lad animated. Another 40% is wanting to see all of the artists here on tumblr go feral.
I unfortunately must say that the remaining 20% is for the silly one piece gacha game.
I've sworn I will never spend money on a gacha game. But it's also true that this most ridiculous power can make the impossible happen...
just found out that my ex from like 2017 embezzled a fuck tonne of money from his (I assume former) best friends and there’s a court transcript that shows how he spent it and it is THE most hilarious shit I have ever seen . I WISH I could give specific examples but he’s semi well known and it’s very googleable and I don’t want internet freaks to work out who it is but holy fuck I’m losing my mind. Lol. I am LoLing.
What will make up for it? Bomb ass lore and facts about my son Kota who I had never properly drawn before now
Gonna do a read more so yall who aren't interested don't have to scroll past it all
Kota facts and Lore:
Buddy is a prosecutor living inside of the Overcast's Backwall and a pretty young one at that
His parents are alleged to be Clan cats who had been captured, he ended up being raised sort of in a collective way since he was born in the early days of The Overcast and a much more optimistic environment
Encountered Casino when he had first begun his training and watched from afar, he would later be chosen as his sparring partner and as such is a skilled fighter
The closest living thing to a brother that Casino has
They share a deep respect for one another for their skills, they aren't exactly friends but they care for each other's well-being in the sort of way that they've know eachother for so long they'd hate for something bad to happen to the other
Has had to deal with Hestia's fussing over Casino since he left leading the two to grow closer than they already where
Much more of an observer than anything, likes to people watch
Incredibly knowledgeable about the group he's a smart guy and gets bored easily which leaves him to sort of wander around and discover things especially when he was younger, eventually he would inspire Camila to learn to navigate the tunnels
Doesn't get along well with Vega he finds her too serious and annoying
Gets along really well with Molotov and a fair amount of the Greater Company who he will often supervise while they watch fights in The Pitt
His earings where done by Molotov when he was younger, he's missing a chunk out of his left ear from where they had been grabbed in a fight and torn out (Casino was not the cat to do this)
Pretty likely to try to smooth over problems instead of fight them out
Has a very smooth monotone voice
He's seen the outside only briefly as he's one of the cats aware of The Pitt's escape route (none of the higher-ups know he knows) but took little interest in it since it overwhelmed him hence why he's still in The Overcast
